update: re-read the book lately and realized they spell it "counsellor" bc they're british. this makes sense but it also means my american ass can't help but read "counsellor" as the american "counselor" which is like a therapist or mental health consultant (the way i spelled it originally is like. someone who sits on a council. which is what i'm sure they meant). just wanted to share the fun image of crowley as a therapist ("I see I see. have you tried yelling at plants?"), or even funnier, that "Duke" as a title is like. a level above therapist. grand therapist. high throne of therapy. tier 1 therapist hastur la vista.

Wendy got an inspired recruitment, so she invited Connie's sister to join the colony! The only downside to this is that Emerald (formerly known as Wttkottyn) hasn't been converted to the Path of Animism yet. We'll get there, though.

The family resemblance is uncanny, though. I don't think I would have been able to differentiate between them if it weren't for the name tags.

Also, I managed to pawn Boomer off to the leader of the nominally friendly Viking faction. I don't think he'll be too thrilled (he's a straight, cold-blooded lizard being sent to marry a man on the ice sheet), but at least I don't have to deal with him anymore.

Obviously, due to the whole "Doofenshmirtz ruled the world for several years" thing, Second Dimension Norman Osborn never had a chance to try to make an army of giant mutant spiders that ended up being radioactive but otherwise normal spiders (yes, that's why the radioactive spider was a thing in Candace's universe. Keep in mind Norman is a Doof-style evil scientist there), so there's no Spider-man variant there. This does not stop Candace-2 from getting involved in Spidey Stuff because the resistance still has access to the "Other-Otherdimensionator" that Heinz built for Doof-2, and have made a significantly improved version of the handheld version Phineas and Ferb made. She mostly just shrugs off the fact that Candace-1 (and anyone who isn't OWCA-associated) can't initially remember her.

Meanwhile, Doof-2 can't figure out how to make his own Otherdimensionator, or replicate most of Heinz's other Inators, despite "objectively" being the more competent of the two, much to his frustration.

Probably the best thing about Brainy and Lyle's rivalry is that it feels almost completely one-sided on Brainy's part, which makes sense because so much of his self-worth depends on his intelligence. I got the impression that Lyle just wanted Brainy to stop underestimating him, but didn't feel the need to prove that he was better than him. He openly admitted to Kon that Brainy was the smartest Legionnaire, he's impressed by his inventions, has no problem asking him for help and he's the one who tried to put an end to their rivalry in the first place. I think he would've liked to work with Brainy had he let him, rather than compete against him. When he's antagonistic towards Brainy it has more to do with the fact that Brainy is being an asshole, it's not really jealousy.

essentially the atsv screenplay was released two or so days ago, which you can read in its entirety here, and there has been valid crirtique regarding the language utilised to describe Miguel within said screenplay, including allusions to bloodlust and the screenplay describing him as an animal twice I believe.

#insofar as my own personal thoughts this does really make me concerned that theres a real lack of consciousness to #emphasizing miguel's anger and the nature of his being in that he's half spider as primary tenets to his character #its deeply concerning to me that regardless of whether the authorial intent was more in vein of providing direction to animators #or was an attempt at shorthand for his emotional state to emphasize his threat AS an antagonist #that this kind of language pertaining to a moc wasnt examined more closely and that it wasnt something picked up upon throughout the #creative process (because lbr Lord + Miller + Callaham are notorious for creatively echoloating their way to the final product and even the #screenplay we HAVE has elements which never made it to the film that exists right now) #its concerning that this mindset on part of the creatives (esp in contrast to Spot as others have pointed out who doesnt contain the same #kinds of language descriptors) that this is something that appears to have been integrated carelessly and without consideration as to just. #the implications of always referring to a moc within bestial terms and characterising his emotions as such. and i think thats something #which is important to point out and criticise as part of the authorial intent (which is what i read the screenplay AS yknow) #but yeah tldr theres been a lot of issue taken with the language used there and i think its a very warranted point to make critique of #and its one i personally hope the creatives HEAR and reflect on. because theyve shown they can do so in regards to characters like Peni or #elements like getting the texture of Miles' hair wrong at first #ask games #anon

Tumblr sorta needs a 'Mute' feature in my opinion. Like what if I don't want to block this user, what if I don't want to become enemies and in some days I'd like to interact. But also most of the time seeing how they avidly encourage everyone else whereas I get the passive-aggressive 'oh yeah very uhh... interesting... (please leave me alone I don't like your art lol)' makes me want to unfollow every single fan of these characters and never draw them again.

I remember two years ago the exact same thing happened when someone liked the same character and the same ship and I swear I was the only person in the fandom they bluntly left out and could not spare a single good word for. I can't even blame this on my art being "ugly" because this type of user always aggressively praises all art styles and all levels of skill, it feels more like 'a personal thing except we never fought a single time'. And now my toxic trait of needing approval from [cool person name] is back to haunt me years later! Add the unability to "abandon" this character/ship/whatever despite wanting to after facing so much unspoken passive spite, because I am a contrarian and the best way to trap me into doing something is to try to exclude me from it. I didn't face attempts to very aggressively bully me out of the yard/class/community/etc, sometimes with physical violence included, only to let something mid like passive aggression online finally do it.

I am really stupid and naive person despite my age, but in like 5% of the cases I will still understand the hint and understand what is going on. Yet I have to pretend to be clueless even in rare situations when I know someone hates me, because since they never admitted it, quitting will be perceived as me being "paranoid". But dear goooood, it hurts sometimes. I hope that one day I will be numbed to being treated as a tumor on an otherwise healthy body of society that someone is dying to amputate- and always a person whose approval I want, of all people. Knowing that this day will come is one of the things that keep me going as both a person and a creator. Things like viruses and diseases still try their best to persist, so even if I am actually one, I should persist. It doesn't matter whether I actually rot everything around me or this is just my self-depreciating delusion upon focusing on people that mistreated me and not people that loved me. What matters is persisting, I just still feel angry that it hurts. I can't respond spite with spite or passive aggression with passive aggression, I can't do the 'smug asshole' when I become aware that someone tries to starve me until I "die". I can just fall over and cry about it like a kicked dog, despite being so old, especially when it is a person I didn't have anything against.

And really.. It is as simple as turning the internet off, so I don't see The Person and can focus on doing stuff that I like, as if they never existed and can't crash my self-esteem. It is just annoying to keep doing this, a feature to not see them unless I am in the mood would be better. Like.. blocking is not an option. Not only it implies being enemies which is not my intention, but also it will be like an "evidence" that I was "crazy". They didn't do anything, right? Well, they know what they did, but it was never verbal, so it is my fault I "imagined things", right?

Ironically, "Marinette is dumped by Adrien, then gets into romantic relationship with Chat Noir" is more or less beginning of "Chat Blanc"

It's basically as if (some) MariChat shippers want first half of "Chat Blanc" (where Chat Noir has "happy romantic relationship with Marinette" after finding out that she is Ladybug and deciding to don't tell her about it) to happen, but without "second half" (where Gabriel finds out that "Adrien = Chat Noir" and exploits it to akumatize Chat Noir into Chat Blanc)

There's a really weird double standard in the fandom, and a lot of people infantalize Adrien and are weirdly protective of him. So, I think a lot of people are taking the secret keeping personally, but the thing about it is, it shouldn't fall on Marinette to reveal all of the dirt on his family. Nathalie tried to have Gabriel tell him two seasons ago, but they never did and never pushed it again. I think if anyone should tell him, it should be Nathalie. Ya know, an actual adult in the situation who knows more than Marinette does.

Marinette has had her own share of trauma the past few seasons and has had to deal with way more than she should have. I think one telling moment to me that a lot are overlooking throughout this whole discourse is in Migration when Adrien is talking to the blue boy about Marinette keeping secrets from him back then. He wasn't pressed about knowing the secret; he just didn't want her to feel guilty about it. Because he has secrets too. I can maybe see a similar situation happening in s6 where she feels guilty about it, and maybe it does cause some contention in their relationship, but it doesn't necessarily mean they have to break up over it. They could and probably will work through it. I doubt she will ever tell him, at least not as Marinette bc that would mean a reveal, and we know the writers are milking that for all it's worth, so I doubt the secret is going to break them up necessarily.

The main and most plausible threat I could see is Lila/Cerise/Iris/whoever the fuck. But we will have to see.
