Microbiome Diversity: The Key to Unlocking Optimal Health and Immunity
In recent years, scientific research has shed light on the importance of the human microbiome in maintaining overall health and bolstering immunity. The microbiome refers to the trillions of microorganisms that reside in and on our bodies, working symbiotically with our cells to regulate numerous bodily functions. As functional medicine practitioners, understanding the critical role of microbiome diversity is essential for guiding our clients toward optimal health and immunity.
Definition of the Human Microbiome
The human microbiome refers to the collection of trillions of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other microbes, that live in and on our bodies. These microorganisms reside in various areas, such as the skin, mouth, gut, and reproductive organs, forming complex ecosystems that interact with each other and with our bodies.
I had been struggling with my weight for years and knew I needed to make a change.
I decided to go through bariatric surgery, but the real challenge was yet to come.
After the surgery, I would have to commit myself to a healthy lifestyle in order for it to be successful.
At first, this seemed daunting as I had never been able to stick with any diet or exercise plan before; however, after doing some research I found out about all natural supplements that could help me along on my journey.
I got started taking them right away and began noticing positive changes after just a few weeks of use!
My energy levels were up and I felt healthier overall - not only did these supplements aid in my physical health but also helped improve my mental wellness as well.
With determination and dedication (plus the help of natural supplements) I was able not only lose 125 pounds after bariatric surgery but keep it off indefinitely!
Today, I enjoys an active lifestyle full of joy and happiness which is something I never thought would be possible before beginning this journey.
Through hard work and perseverance – plus supplementing with all-natural products – I achieved a dream life that many others can aspire too!
If you are experiencing a hormone imbalance, it’s time to give your gut health some attention. New research shows that the gut’s microbiome plays a big role in estrogen regulation. I say it again, YOUR GUT IS THE ROOT OF YOUR HEALTH.
My #flexitarian lifestyle means I eat a lot of veg, fruit, nuts/seeds/healthy fats. I limit dairy (kefir and Greek yogurt) and meat (mainly chicken) plus fish. Recently I am finding #gluten is an issue and learning how to eat less of it is an even bigger issue. This is how I eat 70% of the time. The other 30% is junk. And bread! . . #menopause #plantbased #flexitariandiet #eathealthy #ninja #guthealth #guthealthmatters #guthealthmadeeasy #homemadecooking #zestizm #5aday #weightloss #eatforhealth #simplefoods #plantbasedcommunity #madewithplants #menopausehealth #eathealthyfood #strongnotskinny #strongnotsaggy https://www.instagram.com/p/CnR3Y6toh5r/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
