Things the Doctor Might Fear Because They Killed Previous Incarnations
1 > 2: The cold? Exhaustion? Cybermen? 2 faces Cybermen a lot, so maybe not that last one.
2 > 3: His Own People, losing companions in tragic circumstances (4 basically abandons Sarah Jane so the Time Lords can't get her, so this goes on for a while)
3 > 4: Spiders, radiation poisoning
4 > 5: Heights
5 > 6: Toxins, caring too much for Peri, losing Peri after all he went through to save her
6 > 7: Honestly I'm still not sure what happened here. Exercise bikes?
7 > 8: Medical procedures gone wrong, guns, Dark and Stormy Nights
8 > War: War probably felt very deliberately created by 8, instead of the result of his death, so idk
War > 9: Okay, this one just sort of happened, so I have no idea.
9 > 10: The powerful forces within the TARDIS, His Own Feelings
10 > 11: Radiation again, Even More of His Own Feelings
11 > 12: Old age maybe, but he regenerated into an older man...
12 > 13: Cybermen (the Doctor already has so many issues with Cybermen that I'm not sure how much of a difference it would make)
13 > 14: Giant Fucking Lasers
Feel free to add your own lol.

Web of Gold was TSR’s 1989 board game produced under license from a company called Three Wishes, also published in Germany as Goldfieber (Gold Fever).  Clearly inspired by Indiana Jones, Web of Gold had a 3D molded plastic board with each player controlling one explorer seeking gold and one spider that can block areas of the board with web tokens and bite opponents’ explorers to remove them from play.  (Ad from the back cover of Dragon 154, February 1990)

To Cook a giant spider
Giant spiders have a variety of uses. When Butchered, you can expertise the venom form the mouth Glands, the Silk form the silk glands, along with spider shell which it's Dark colored chitin, while thin compared to a Beetle chitin, it is still loved by many races for it's Dark Colors. Before preparing the body one must burn the hairs off of a spider, for they are know to cause rashes to people who touch them. Even seemly hairless spiders can hold these hair. After the extraction of the Silk glands, and head, and organs, the abdomen's meat is wonderful for being used in sauce and stocks, adding mild chicken/cod flavor, which goes along good with the lichen of the caverns' lichen and Garlic. This sauce goes well along with Cave goat, Cave muskox, and Giant cave swallow. The head has some meat like abdomen, but the head is much more valuable for it's potion materials, the brain, eyes, and Venom Glands. The venom glands can be used by a skilled alchemist to make a Neutralize poison potion, the brain for a potion of Wall walk, and the Eyes for potions of Dark vision, and Potions of false healing. The legs tend to be the least meaty, but the white, crab like meat is a bitter with a chemical after taste. It is best prepared with butter and Garlic or the Sauce mentioned above. The Silk can be made into clothes or pressed into paper for common use and for it's use in spell scrolls. Spider silk is prized for it's toughness and resistance for ware, making it a popular choice for Gambeson for Cavern residents.

Idk.
Middle earth has a lot of unsolved mysteries like that of the blue wizards.
Like the Nameless Things which Gandalf mentioned.
Among other examples.
Where do I even begin, I’m just working from memory.
EVERYTHING about Tom Bombadil.
The identity of the Ringwraiths (though that’s not too hard to figure out if you pay attention).
The Entwives.
The origin of the Hobbits. Idk.
The first fall of Man (if the tale of Adanel isn’t canon I mean, idk)
Amandil’s fate (I like to think he reached Valinor)
Ungoliant’s origin and nature.
I can’t recall any others…

Tl;dr: Tauriel as a descendant of Feanor
The Feanorian troops are routed from Sirion. Finally.
Elwing is gone. Earendil is gone. The little princes are taken, and even if they are not dead, they’re lost. Oropher coordinates clean-ups of the dead bodies. So many unmarked graves.
One of the dead is identified as the wife of Amras, the youngest Feanorian. She lies dead in a ditch, her neck crushed by a horse’s hoof, her dress torn and dirty...
... and a tiny screaming bundle still clutched in her rigor mortised arms.
Oropher takes the infant, frigid, filthy and starving but otherwise unhurt. Against all odds, he finds a wet-nurse for the babe, cleans and warms him, and eventually gets him adopted by a friend of his. The friend names him Athaedil,
Athaedil grows up into a fine young man. Tall and slim, with fiery red hair, freckles and a noble, extroverted disposition. He is never told about his real parents, and is raised Sindar. When he does eventually discover he’s adopted, he is told that his parentage is unknown--that his parents died nameless. Eventually, he moves with Oropher to the Greenwood and remains a friend of the family, Thranduil’s friend especially.
The Last Alliance happens. Oropher dies. Thranduil takes over as King.
Athaedil marries a nice girl, a daughter of a powerful Silvan lord. He gives her the epesse of Fainladh, the White Tree, as she is tall and slim with thick, pure white hair. A few years later, she falls pregnant. Eventually, they have a little girl of their own.
Her name is Tauriel.
When Tauriel is still young, Athaedil and Fainladh are ambushed during a routine patrol. Thranduil hears the commotion and arrives, driving off the giant spiders, but he’s too late. Athaedil is critically injured.
Thranduil orders the healers to focus on him, but Athaedil says it’s too late, and to focus on Fainladh, who is less injured and could still be saved. The healers group onto Fainladh and leave Athaedil with Thranduil.
Thranduil takes Athaedil in his arms, cradling him gently as he struggles for breath. Athaedil manages to creak out a “Take care of Tauriel” before he draws his final breath.
Thranduil closes Athaedil’s eyes and they bury him snug in the roots of a large tree. Fainladh passes soon after from her own wounds, and she is laid by his side.
Thranduil raises Tauriel as his own charge. He tells her she is Silvan, like her mother was. Tells her her father was the son of an old friend, adopted and of unknown heritage. He raises her in what he thinks is the “proper” way--Sindar for official business, Silvan for socializing with commoners and having fun at parties. If you asked Tauriel herself, she’d probably call herself Silvan.
Thranduil’s worst fear is that Tauriel might someday find out who her real grandfather was. The Feanorians hang over Thranduil, specters of childhood fears, and he really, really wants to discourage any connections between his hot-headed, reckless charge and her kinslaying ancestors.
Anyway, that’s why I think Tauriel is Like That. It’s in her blood. Her impulsivity, her hot-headedness, her willingness to solve problems with violence. Her red hair, when that’s such a rare trait. She’s Feanor’s great-granddaughter!

Scenario 1 : Arachnids
Quick note : you will notice a mistake, as the Schaffenfest takes place outside of Bögenhafen. I did not know that when the characters played the scenario, thus, I apologize. This scenario takes place after the adventures of Chef, but the reading order does not matter much so far. Both are included in the first scenario as an introduction to the players. Some might recognise two scenario hooks from the 4e bood "Adventures afoot the Reikland".
Maria and Selgrim are walking in the Reikwald toward the wood exploitation of Willibert Klemm. Giant spiders made their nest in the trees, and the merchant has been loosing profit since, but decided to make money out of the situation, and asked for someone to get him some of the creature's silk for him to sell.
The young woman and the dwarf met on this occasion. They quikly found out that they both wished to travel to Übersreik, and that they needed a guide and some money. Maria traveled from her village in Tabalecland in hopes of becoming a knight for the Empire's army, and believes that the now politically unstable city will offer her opportunities to get noticed as a hero. As for Selgrim, he grew up in Bögenhafen until now, and wishes to travel as well, hopeful to find something interesting in Übersreik.
As they make their way on the path, voices catch their attention.
"Are you sure that's a good collet ?"
"I don't know, I'm a blacksmith, not a hunter !"
As they come closer to the voices, they discover a ginger haired dwarf and a young man trying to prepare a hunting trap, before noticing the two curious person.
After a short conversation, it turned out that this duo, Günther and Ökri, met today as they accepted a job offer for Doctor Malthusius. The man runs the Malthusius Zoopopée but his creatures have fought and killed each other, and other problems caused him worry for his business. With the Schaffenfest starting in a few days, he needs new creatures to present the public, and thus, Günther and Ökri are now trying to hunt for monsters.
"Well, we are going to collect silk from giant spiders for a merchant. If you joign us, we can help you capture one of them, and you can help us gather the silk, perhaps we'll make more profit this way."
Everyone agrees on collaborating, and soon, they arrive in the wood explotation. The trees are covered in silver threads, and the group starts gathering the silk, trying not to break the delicate strings. Unfortunately, spiders soon begin to carwl their way.
"Giant spiders ? These are merely larger then big rats !" complains one of the dwarfs. But soon, their number is overwhelming, and the fight becomes a real struggle until Maria kills many of them in a precise blow. Suddenly, they notice a man eating Drakwald in the tree crown above them, much bigger then the small critters that they struggled with a moment ago. Very much larger.
"We have to catch that one..." mutters Günther.
They begin to plan a way to trap it, using a rope and one of them as a bait, but when they finally look back up, the monster is gone.
The drakwald spider jumps on one of them, who barely rolls away from it, before running to his newly found comrades that hurried to settle the trap.
The quartet returns to Bögenhafen, victorious. Their hunt was fruitful, and the Drakwald they captured should satisfy Dr. Malthusius. As for the silk, the quantity is consequent. However, as they arrive by the city's entrace, another problem arises : guards are there, and walking in a city with a giant man-eating insect is not acceptable. Günther walks ahead, ensuring his companion that he can distract them. The uninterrupted flow of his words as he speaks to the two men drowns them into incomprehension. Meanwhile, Maria and the two dwarfs walk behind the two men, with their illegal catch.
However, as they make their way toward Mathusius' caravan, a guard notices them. A fight in town would draw too much unwanted attention on them, but a few Silver Shilings often makes a man willing to remain silent. With their purses a bit lighter, the four adventurers arrive at the caravan, and receive their pay. They also find Herr Klemm to trade the silk for silver shilings, and all return to a tavern, planning their leave for Übersreik.
All they need is a guide, but the next day, the bad news arrive : Selgrim, who lives in Bögenhafen, has to remain for a few more days, as he has been called to joign the jury for a lawsuit.
Scenario 2 : Death to the witches !

Eight Legged Freaks
Tumblr media
Former WCW Champion David Arquette stars as a man who returns to his hometown to try and save his family's failing mine only to find out that the town is being invaded by giant Spiders.
In another wrestling reference when a town meeting starts getting out of hand someone can be heard yelling "this is a town meeting not the WWF" to try and gain order.
Featured Wrestler:
David Arquette as Chris McCormick
Wrestle Rating:
3.5 out of 5 Stun guns
Tumblr media
An absolutely ridiculous and completely over the top action comedy that pays homage to the sci-fi creature flicks of the 50s. The 3rd generation actor is well suited to the movies campy style.

Critically endangered due to logging and the pet trade; the gorgeous Peacock Tarantula (Poecilotheria Metallica) lives in the forests of Andhra Pradesh, India. Though its venom causes intense pain, cramping, stinging, swelling, migraines, and a high heart rate lasting for 1-8 weeks–no human deaths have been recorded from its bite. When fully grown their leg span can be 15-20cm (6-8inches).
Imagine if the Giant Spiders looked like this. 😍

With fictional species i had the idea s the idea of dragons or giant spiders reaching adult size before they reach sexual maturity
How would that affect social structure when these normally solitary beings assemble for the councils or meetings or such!

Philip doesn't care for giant spiders. I can't say I'm a fan either.

A variant of the Old Storage ambience, with the music that starts player after things get spooky(er)!
