Hi I used to be into the phandom so much but fell out in like??? 2017??? Maybe??? Has anything big happened at all? Has anyone died/caught on fire ( ;) )??

oh dear god where do i begin??? well fortunately both our lads are still alive. let me just start with saying 2018 has been like. probably the best year for dnp to date? i’ll try to go in some kind of order here but bear with me i’ll touch on a bit of 2017 stuff and then go into 2018 for ya

so first of all i’m not sure when you left the phandom in 2017 but the lads moved out of their previous flat in april of last year (x) (april-ish it was def before they posted the vid)

also our dear lil dani snot on fire is no longer not on fire (x) so uhh is he on fire now ig? i mean yeah that’s arguably true

*insert phil’s badaladala sound bc on the scale of Significant Things i don’t think anything else massive happened*

day one of demon month, we got this amazing vid from phil wherein viewers (aka dan) picked his outfits n he looked like a snacc and a half (would’ve been 2 snaccs if he’d embraced the quiff sooner but that’s getting ahead of things) (x)

!!!! then a week or so later dan posted his vid ‘daniel and depression’ where he opened up abt his struggle with depression (x) which was imo the start of him just being more open about himself in general. he also started working with young minds (a mental health org for young people in the uk) and shortly thereafter with prince william’s program to help prevent cyberbullying

then! on the day love was invented! dnp released their board game, truth bombs (x - yeah i linked the second vid and not the first, and wot) which u can buy if you’d like but it’s a lot of fun (x)

then these idiots did a conjoined jumper baking challenge and didn’t fucking wear shirts under the jumper like what dumb gays idk (x) but it was real funny and Good Content

then early nov dnp announced the interactive introverts tour (x) and then uhhh it happened (like 80+ shows??? in a ton of countries???) (x) and they’re releasing the filming of it along with some bonus content like a director’s commentary and u can preorder it (x)

also pinof 9 happened which as a legacy phan u know is always a Thing but this year it was especially a Thing so i recommend catching up (x, and the bloops - x)

okay big sigh two large events happen in march: the first, dan’s ‘trying to live my truth’ vid (x) it basically dan saying ‘i’m still figuring things out but i want to be more authentic and true to myself, and also authenticity is important for some people to feel happy in life’ vid that a lot of people hyperfixated on the end line of, where he said he would go ‘laugh at a joke with a chocolate bar and...something else in my mouth’ which people assumed meant a dick and therefore it was a subtle coming out vid, dan did a liveshow afterward (x) wherein he said that wasn’t the point of the vid and people got mad at him for ‘backtracking’ (if u want more of my Opinions on this feel free to check em out - x)

the second v v big event happened at the end of march when phil posted this iconic selfie that would be the downfall of the fringe (x) this has been titled the quiffening by some

shortly after that he began styling his hair in a quiff permanently which was probably the best decision he’s made since responding to one of his obsessed fans back in 2009

quick detour dan’s proud of his hubby (x) for winning fortnite and ‘fuxkung’ is now what ‘fucking’ autocorrects to in my phone

we also had dan releasing his merch (x) which is basically all black and themed around the eclipse logo and ‘don’t talk to me’, though he just released the exist line for world mental health day which has his quote ‘have the courage to exist’. he’s also mentioned possibly wanting to do more creative things like wide-necked or asymmetrical shirts dan just do a fashion line pls oh and he mentioned in a recent ls he might do an internet support group mug sometime soon

and then,,,,,pigeonfest. we watched. five hours. of phil livestreaming their patio. and literally nothing happened bc someone was like down on the street feeding pigeons so there weren’t even any pigeons for like 90% of the liveshow. but he literally didn’t talk it was just five hours of their patio and we all watched it. we all just watched it like the whipped phannies we are (x)

and then we got a brief but overwhelming dose of,,,,,,something from the easter baking vid (x) phil was hopped up on sugar and also confidence from his quiff and probably smth else as well

everything just blows up from there we have giving the people what they want (x) where, in preparation for ii (for which the underlying theme was ‘giving people what they want’), dnp reacted to pinof 1, swapped clothes, did the ‘yoga challenge’, recreated ditl manchester, ‘got a dog’, and made phil say fuck. honestly it shook the entire phandom to its core at the time but like. i’m less shooketh now? it’s sort of just fallen by the wayside in terms of how unpredictable dnp have been this year

then phil drops week in the life of dnp shortly thereafter which is just very very domestic even for them and their ditl style vids??? (x) phil filming dan in bed being one of the big demon highlights at the time

it’s right around this time too that insta stories start and my god it just goes jfc like i don’t even have the mental capacity to recall all the Iconic ones but i recommend checking out this playlist (x) which has all the ii tour stories goddamn there were a lot though they really put out that content didn’t they

in early may we get phil talking about why he changed his emo hair (x) and arguably the first official vid of the casual rebrand - phil’s more open and genuinely vulnerable about his fears about making a change to his hair, and i don’t think we’ve ever seen him that open before. the vids don’t stop being open though, with what dnp text each other (x) giving us coop and doop along with other iconic stories, dnp basically sitting on top of each other in that and other gaming vids on the tour bus, phil being very open abt his attraction to men (x) and the iconic final google feud vid with way too much of a specific kind of Energy (x) (ofc again there are More Vids but i don’t have the time/mental capacity to recap them all so i’m pickin the Big Ones)

end of october spooky week hits us and i think the key vid to call out here is the creepy mind of phil lester bc i think it was another open honest authentic vid (x) where they talked a lot, casual domestic w.e got some insight into phil’s mind it was v good

Prom is for Chumps (vent fic)

Word Count: 1203

TW: alcohol mention, loneliness, homophobia mention let me know if i missed anything!

Notes: I’m lonely and sad and prom is tomorrow so I was projecting and getting it out of my system. I could make a second part of this but I probably won’t.

Summary: “is it really already? God, I thought we had another week” Roman was going to be alone at home on prom night and he felt horrible. Is there any way to pick his mood back up off the ground?

“is it really already? God, I thought we had another week”

Roman was a romantic, popular, 17-year-old. He was also really gay who lived in the middle of nowhere pretty much. A couple years ago he was in a happy relationship and out to the whole school pretty much, but then his parents had to move. The place they moved? Um, let’s just say he didn’t feel quite safe in his identity there. Heck, the third week of school, the GSA program had to come up with a scheduled itinerary because there were boycotts saying they couldn’t have a club for just fun, that you had to learn from it, that GSA was harmful, and if Roman wasn’t already uncomfortable, he would have been scraping his skin off with a spoon. Of course, not everything sucked, but it was pretty bad.

The last class of the day was almost finished and after that he would have to go to theatre and honestly, he was half ready to skip it after the day he had. Nothing in particular happened that was bad, but nothing in particular happened at all. He had done work in math and was currently finishing a chapter of the book he was reading for English but in all his other classes they did nothing, maybe a 10-minute activity and free time for the rest of the hour. He had tried to convince his choir teacher to practice so he felt some sort of accomplishment, but everyone else in class was tired and in some sort of pain and so they sat and talked. Unlike in his other classes with desks, he couldn’t just pass out. Usually he would go and belt showtunes or Disney songs, but he wasn’t in a place for that, now was he?

He was standing the second the bell sounded off. He took a look at the little theatre room and shook his head. No, no he wasn’t up for that at the moment. He was too tired to deliver his lines properly and he wasn’t about to do less than his best. He turned away and walked over towards the parking lot, thinking back to what his teacher had mentioned at the end of class.

“I'm not giving you any homework; you're all going to prom so there's no real point”

Gosh he loved his English teacher, but that struck him a bit too much for his liking. Yup, he didn’t have a date to prom. Honestly, he had completely forgotten it was this weekend. He was still considering going solo, but he had missed his last chance. He cursed himself internally, he shouldn’t be so upset, it’s a school dance, he could host a better party himself, a better dance. But it still tore at him no matter the rationalizations he made up. He was going to be alone on a night that was supposed to be magic and special and romantic. He would probably end up crying in his parents’ liquor cellar. Not because he would dare touch any of the gross stuff, but maybe he could stage it like he had and maybe his parents would think he was just drunk instead of lonely. Instead of vulnerable. Maybe he would get grounded, he’d be able to have an excuse as to why he wasn’t there, instead of just getting looks of pity from everyone. He wouldn’t be able to ha-

“uh, I can be? What's up padre?”

Patton was a bubbly kid, approximately 3 months older than him, and he was in his science class. The absolute only kid he could stand in it in fact. They had gotten pretty close and Roman knew he was ace, what with him shamelessly flaunting around his flag whether around his shoulders or with his dozens of pins on his bag. He was quite an inspiration if he was being honest. He wished he could be that care free, that proud of his identity.

“well uh, I dunno if you know them, but my friend Logan and my boyfriend Virgil were planning on having a party. I know prom is a thing, but I dunno, its all bad music and kids who can’t dance in a sweaty gym and I was like, I can host a better party than that! And I wanted to invite you!!! I'm sure you're probably going to prom with that girl you’ve been hanging out with, but it’s the thought that counts!”

“huh? Sarah? Oh no, we aren’t going together, I wasn’t even planning on going to be honest. I know Logan I think, nerd with big square glasses and cute freckles? Also, I would have to be blind to not know your boyf Hun, you two are practically attached at the hips. Who else is coming?”

Patton's face lit up even brighter and Roman could feel his own face lift a bit at the kid’s pure joy. Patton started bouncing on his toes.

“yeah that’s Logan!!! There's also gonna be Remy, and Zeke, and Emile, and Thomas, and uhhh I think that’s it. I dunno where I'm gonna have it though, my house is pretty small, and my parents are gonna be there all weekend and I wanted it to like end in a sleepover because they're fun!!! Do you have any ideas?”

“I mean my parents are gonna be gone until Tuesday for a conference and my place is pretty enormous. We could have it there?”

He flinched slightly at the deafening squeal Patton let loose. He also flinched slightly when Patton launched into him with a hug. He was not prepared.

“ohmygosh ROMAN!!! YOU'RE A LIFE SAVER!!! I’ll let them all know!!! When would it be ok to start coming over?”

“uhh, I need to do a major clean and then I need to find my parents giant speakers and I should probably stock up on snacks and food and drinks. I can probably be done with all of that by like noon tomorrow? That sound good?”

“yeah!!! Oh, thank you thank you thank you!!! Also, I'm making the foodenings, and vee was gonna be getting snacks and drinks. If you wanna get disposable plates and things that would probably be a good idea, so we don’t leave you with tons of dirty dishes. Also, I think Remy made a playlist for us that he can Bluetooth to your speakers. Oh, this is gonna be so cool Ro!!!”

“yeah! I’ll text you my address in a minute. But I gotta get going. Lots to do now!”

Patton nods fervently and hugs him again. He speaks softer, calmer this time.

“really Roman thank you. We weren’t able to afford prom tickets even if we wanted to go, and I was scared that we would have to just waste our night alone. It means a lot.”

Roman smiles and wraps his arms around the short man. He was grateful for this too. After they let go Patton waved goodbye and Roman stepped into his car. He shot his parents a text and took a deep breath. Turning on the radio, he sang along to the music as he drove home.

Truth or Drink

Bringing Peter to a party causes more upset than you would’ve imagined...

A/N: this ended up WAY longer than I was expecting lol. also, this is my first time writing about Peter so let me know what you guys think! and as always, request are OPEN :)

It was finally here, the last week of high school. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve loved my years at Midtown Tech, but I was so ready for a change of pace. This was really the last, and kinda the first, week of fun for you. Scholastic Decathlon was last month, so seniors didn’t have to go to practice anymore. The last orchestra concert was two weeks ago, so no more rehearsal. And the Queens of Cheer Competition was last week, so no more tumbling for me. In high school, I made myself the total package so that I would be guaranteed to get into Columbia. The plan worked of course, but it made me miss out on a lot in high school. I never really went to parties because I was always so busy, and after graduation I was starting a full-time job at the library to help pay for college. But that was okay, because I was finally going to a big party this Friday. I had so much lost time to make up for, and the guy who was hosting it has had a huge crush on me since sophomore year. Even though I wasn’t interested, I wasn’t going to say no to free alcohol and a good time. 

It was Tuesday, just three more days until freedom. I was sitting at lunch with all of my friends and we were talking about the party. “So, Y/N, are you going to ask anyone to be your date to the party on Friday?” One of my friends asked. “Probably not, there’s only one guy I’d want to ask and I doubt he’d be into it.” I replied, hoping my friends would drop it. “Oh c’mon, who is it?” “No, trust me, you wouldn’t even want to know. He’s a junior anyways so he probably wouldn’t come.” I looked over at the boy: Peter Parker. He was a year younger than me, but I couldn’t help my attraction to him. He was just so smart and sweet, and didn’t make a big deal about his intelligence like most of the assholes at this high school. We were on the Decathlon team together, I always tried to make a move on him, but he was either oblivious or not interested. He didn’t care about sports or any of the dumb stuff I had to pretend to like, mostly because he had no reason to. He could get into any school he wanted to with his academics alone, so he could focus on the things he actually cared about, and I loved that about him. When he caught me staring I shot my head back to my friends. “There are gonna be tons of juniors there, just ask him.” “You guys just don’t get it,” I groaned. But the grilling didn’t stop. “Do you have any classes with him? Does he play sports? Was he in orchestra with you? Give us a hint!” They just wouldn’t stop and I couldn’t handle it anymore. “It’s Peter!!!” I yelled and immediately put a hand over my mouth. The entire cafeteria grew quiet. Everyone was staring at me, I turned back to see Peter staring at me with a confused look. “Fuck me,” I muttered while grabbing my bag and walking out of the cafeteria. Thank god I had a free period after lunch and I could hide in the library for an hour or so. I found my little spot in the corner of the library by the window, put on my headphones, and started listening to my ‘calm down’ playlist. It definitely wasn’t doing its job though, and nothing could calm me down enough for what was about to happen. Something brushed up against my leg so I looked up to see Peter situated himself on the couch across from mine. This day couldn’t get any worse. “Hey,” he said nervously. I let out a deep sigh before replying, “Hey Peter.” “So, uhh, what was that about?” “I’m so sorry about that, my friends were just hounding me trying to figure out who I wanted to bring to the party on Friday and I just blew up. God, it was so embarrassing.” “Wait, you want to take me to the party?” “Well… yeah. I know you’d never come with me though so, don’t worry about it.” “I’m still confused here, why would you ever want to take me to a party?” “What do you mean?” “Oh c’mon, Y/N, you’re you. You’re a cheerleader, everyone loves you, the entire male population of Queens would kill to take you out, and probably most females.” “Wait, so does that mean you’d come?” “What?” “To the party, you’ll come? I’d really love for you to be there, it’s the first time I’m going to a party and I think you’d make me feel more comfortable.” “This isn’t some kind of prank right? Like you’re not going to give me the address to some abandoned lot where the entire football team jumps me while the cheerleaders record?” “God, no Peter! I really, really want you to come. You can bring Ned along! Besides, you’ll technically be a senior Friday night, it’d be a pretty good way to start off your senior year.” “Uhh, okay, yeah. I’ll be there.” I was beaming as I sprung up from my coach to give him a hug, “Oh, thank you Peter! I’ll text you the address, yeah?” Then ran off to tell my friends about my encounter.

“Peter Parker? The whiz kid? He’s really coming to the party?” “Yes! I think it’ll be really fun, besides if he’s there, you guys won’t even have to take care of me if I drink too much! I doubt he’ll have more than one beer.” “No offense, Y/N, he seems like a really sweet kid, but Logan Barrett is like, in love with you. He’s the captain of the football team and he has a house in the Hamptons.” “He also bought his way into Duke and bullied me all of freshman year for being the only girl in robotics club.” “That was because he liked you. You do you girl, but you could be passing up a real snag.” I just rolled your eyes and made my way to AP Chem.

Friday had finally come. The rest of the week I stole little smiles from Peter as I passed him in the hallway. I couldn’t believe how nervous and safe he made me feel all at the same time. 2:40 had rolled around and all of the seniors made their way into the main lobby. The teachers tried to keep us in class, but fuck it, there were five minutes left of high school and we all wanted to be together when it ended. I found my friends at 2:43, we just stood there in silence, watching the clock tick by. When finally, RINGGG. We all started cheering and hugging, some were even crying. “We fucking did it!” I screamed at the top of my lungs, not caring that the principal was standing just a few feet away. I rushed out of the front doors with everyone else and started towards the train with my friends. We were chatting about “a new chapter” when I felt someone grab my arm. I was half expecting Peter, but was disappointed to see Logan.
“You’re coming tonight, right?” He asked. I nodded my head yes. “Awesome, I can’t wait to see you get wild for once,” he winked before walking off. My friends were freaking out, but I was just uncomfortable. God I hoped he wouldn’t try anything at the party.

When I got home my mom wanted to hear all about my last day, but I was just worried about looking nice for Peter. I scarfed down dinner before rushing off to my room. My mom walked in as I was finishing my makeup, I knew she was about to give me a talk about drinking. When I turned on my curling iron, she knew something was up. “Trying to look nice for someone special tonight?” She asked with a huge grin. I had never been with a boy before, but my mom was adamant that I find myself a boyfriend eventually. “Maybe,” I said grinning. “Well then I’ll leave you to it, I want to you leave for the train by seven, it’s a long ride to that Barrett boy’s house and I don’t want you out walking alone too late.” It was already 6:15, so I began tearing apart my closet looking for the best outfit for a party. I opted for a denim skirt and a cropped sweater. I finished any extra primping I found necessary and headed out to the train stop.

I had to admit, standing outside that house was terrifying. His house was huge, and the music was blasting. It looked as if almost every upperclassman from Midtown was there. Taking a deep breath, I swung open the door and was immediately greeted by my friends, all trying to hand me drinks. I knew I should’ve gone slow, but the drinks actually tasted good. I was definitely at a buzz when Peter texted me to let me know that he was here with Ned. I rushed to the front door to greet them. When I opened the front door Peter looked so nervous, he was wearing one of his dorky t shirts that I loved so much. Ned, on the other hand, had never looked so happy in his life. “Hey Y/N!” He yelled excitedly over the music, “thanks so much for inviting us, I never thought we’d get invited to a party.” Peter elbowed him in the gut, obviously getting embarrassed by his friend. “I’m so glad you guys came, you’re way more fun than most of the guys here,” I said. Peter’s face brightened when I said that. Suddenly, there was a hand around my waist and I turned to see Logan. “Peter and Ned, never thought I’d see you two at a party,” he said cockily. “Uhh, yeah. Y/N invited us, I hope that’s okay.” Peter’s smile dropped when he noticed Logan’s hand around my waist. “Of course! I’m glad you guys are here. We were actually about to go play some Truth or Drink upstairs. I’ll grab you two some beers and meet you up there.” “What’s Truth or Drink?” Peter asked as we made our way upstairs. “I’m not really sure to be honest, but it sounds fun!” Typically a game like that would sound awful, but the alcohol was definitely kicking in and I felt way more ballsy than I normally would. There was only one more spot left on the couch, so Peter and Ned stood next to it. Logan handed the both of them a beer, which Peter sipped on cautiously. “So, I’m sure you all could figure out the rules,” Logan began, “you get asked truth, or dare. If you’re too much of a pussy to do it, you take a shot.” He slammed down a bottle of Svedka and a few shot glasses. “Lets get started. Peter.” He looked absolutely terrified. “Truth or dare?” “Uhh, truth?” “If you could fuck any girl in this room, who would it be?” God Logan was such an ass. I shot him an evil look, which he only laughed at. Peter let out a big sigh before reaching for a shot glass. I was kinda disappointed that he didn’t say me, but I brushed it off. I watched Peter take the shot, his face scrunched up as the alcohol burned his throat, causing chuckles here and there. A few more turns went by, one of my best friends had to give some junior a lap, which I think might’ve been illegal? But finally, the dreaded moment came: “Y/N, truth or dare?” It was one of the football players. “Dare.” I said cooly. “I dare you to kiss the hottest guy in this room.” I could hear the “ooooohs” coming from behind me and all of Logan’s friends were giving him elbows and winks. He clearly thought he would be my choice. I sat there for a few seconds, working up some courage. Finally I stood up and walked right up to Peter. I took his face in my hands and pressed my lips to his. He stumbled back, clearly taken by surprise. But eventually he put his hands on my waist and pulled me in even closer. I heard Logan get up as I broke the kiss, “this is bullshit.” He muttered before going downstairs. “We should probably get out of here,” I stated. “Yeah for sure, I’m one hundred percent scared of him.” I couldn’t help but laugh at his confession. When I turned to tell Ned we should all leave. He was sitting on the coach with a cheerleader in his lap. “I think he’s doing all right.”

We started walking back to the stop, the buzz was mostly gone. Talking with him felt so nice, so easy. Finally, he made a move. Quickly sliding is fingers in between mine before holding tight. “Is this okay?” He asked sheepishly. “It’s perfect.” Naturally, our perfect moment had to be ruined. “Hey Penis Parker!” We spun around to see Logan walking towards us, clearly drunk off his ass and still carrying a bottle of beer. “Fuck,” Peter mumbled. “If you really think you can come into my house, and take the girl that I was supposed to end up with, and not pay for it. You’re so wrong.” “Get over yourself, Logan.” I said, taking a bold step towards him. “We were never going to end up together. You think you’re so great because you were the football captain and your parents are rich.” “Y/N just let it go, lets leave.” Peter begged. “No! He needs to hear this. You’re not nearly as great as you think you are. People only liked you in high school because of your money. And when you go to college you’ll just have to buy all of your friends again, just like Mommy and Daddy had to buy your acceptance letter!” I should’ve seen Logan wind up, but I was clouded by rage and cheap vodka. Suddenly my face was stinging and I was on the ground. I put my hand up to my face and felt blood coming from my lip. Luckily, I looked up just in time to see Peter reel back and punch him square in the jaw. I couldn’t believe how hard he had hit him. Peter wasn’t small by any means, but he wasn’t huge, definitely not big enough to send a guy like Logan flying backwards. Logan hit the street and his bottle shattered next to him. “Peter!” I yelled in disbelief. “Shit, we gotta get out of here.” Peter dragged Logan’s unconscious body onto the sidewalk before he grabbed my hand and dragged me to the stop.

I was way too afraid to go back to my house with a busted lip and a boy my mom didn’t know, so Peter offered to let me stay at his house. His aunt would be asleep and he agreed it was a bad idea for me to go back home. I texted my mom and told her I’d be staying at a friend’s house that night, at least I wasn’t technically lying. We snuck into his apartment and he led me to his bedroom. He grabbed a first aid kit and started disinfecting the cuts on my palms and knees and gave me an ice pack for my lip. I sat on the edge of his bed, examining all of his various science fair, robotics, and Decathlon trophies. “Thank you, for protecting me back there,” I muttered as he put bandaids on my knees. “Of course, I’ll always defend you. I should’ve stopped him before he hit you, I’m so sorry.” “I can’t believe how mad I got, I’ve never spoken to someone like that before.” “Trust me Y/N, he deserved it. You, however, did not deserve this. You should really press charges.” “I think he paid for what he did, thanks to you.” I gave him a sweet smile and I could see a slight blush forming on his cheeks. “So, uhh, I can sleep on the couch and you can take my bed. May won’t come in here if she sees me on the couch so you won’t have to worry about that. Even if she saw you she wouldn’t freak out, I think.” He said while he gathered some blankets to take out to the couch with him. “Peter, I’m not kicking you out of your own bed,” I said getting up and grabbing the blankets from him. “I’ll just sleep on the floor.” “Y/N, I’m not gonna let you sleep on the floor, especially not after tonight.” “We could always share your bed, if you wouldn’t mind.” “Uhh, I-I uhh, yeah, yeah of course not, I don’t mind at all.” I couldn’t help but chuckle as he stammered out his answer. “Do you wanna borrow a t shirt or some sweats?” “That’d be perfect actually, thank you Peter.” He went to his closet and dug out a pair of Midtown sweats and a t shirt. I started to strip and he quickly turned around, stammering something about being sorry. I chuckled at how innocent he was. Once I was changed he hopped into bed and got under the covers, he was about as close to the edge as he could get. I slid in next to him. “You know, Parker, I’m a cuddler. No matter how far away from me you sleep, I’m going to end up right next to you.” “I guess I better not sleep that close to the edge then,” he said scooting closer. He held an arm out, inviting me to snuggle up next to him. What a long, awful, and somehow perfect night. I was just about to fall asleep when something caught my eye. “Hey Peter?” “Hm?” He grunted into my shoulder blade. “Why is Spider-Man’s suit in your closet?”

Another Day, Another Dollar (and a survey to pass the time)

Coffee mugs, teacups, or water bottles? I collect kitschy mugs, most of which were souvenirs or gifts (for example, my sister’s boyfriend got me a mug with the ENTIRE script of Shrek printed on it. Amazing lol!). But I also love pretty teacups and I have several scattered around my apartment as decor. I even have this BEAUTIFUL tea set, hand-made and painted in Poland, that I’ve been meaning to display.  Bubblegum or cotton candy? If we’re talking flavoring, then NEITHER! The idea alone of bubblegum or cotton-candy flavored shit makes me gag.  How did your elementary school teachers describe you? I was quiet and not very social, but an exceptional student. I spent most of my free time reading books or writing my own stories. Pretty much an elementary teacher’s dream student!

Do you prefer to drink soda from cans, bottles or cups? My top choice across the board would be a cup with a straw. But I LOVE regular Coca-Cola from a can. It tastes so much better than Coke from a bottle or fountain machine for some reason. It’s sweeter and smoother with less of that painful carbonated burn.  Earbuds or headphones? Earbuds, just because headphones make me look like a dork. 

Movies or TV? TV shows are easier to fade in and out of, which is my preferred means of watching something.  Favorite smell in the summer? SUNSCREEN! It’s such a distinct and familiar smell that’s contained to only a teeny sliver of the year. I love smells like that.  Game you were best at in P.E./gym? It’s not a game but I was weirdly good at rock-climbing when we did that unit in high school?  What do you have for breakfast on an average day? Nothing. I love breakfast food, just not at breakfast time.  Name of your favorite playlist? I have this one playlist whose title is simply the sparkle/star emoji (creative, I know). It’s a lot of vibey, atmospheric jams that are the perfect soundtrack when I have people over just chilling and drinking.  Lanyard or key ring? I was an English nerd who later became an English major and at one point in the semester was averaging 2 novels a week. I could never pick a sole favorite from all my years in school and I’d struggle to even pick a favorite from each class. But for the sake of this question I’m gonna rattle off a few that come to mind. From middle school through high school I loved The Outsiders, The Westing Game, TKAM, anything by Steinbeck, Jane Eyre, The Poisonwood Bible, The Virgin Suicides.

Best way for someone to bond with you? Music and literature are my favorite ways to connect with a person.
