id like to ask about some general in lore things for uroboros, since im currently hyperfixating on it and i NEEED to perfect my oc for it. my main question is, like, theyre kind of outcasted and look down upon by most deities, right? do you think there would be any of that with their fathers? of course not as bad, but maybe just like. some internal conflict, or even the slightest bit of disappointment in their child? or are they fully supportive, if just a bit confused

AND ALSO, this one is purely for design purposes: how strict is the modesty of the gods? i know most of them wear robes, but do some gods dress like the greek gods (artistic nudity, lesser clothing, ect), for example? or would that be looked down upon?

I know bad hyperfixations get, so I have to answer this one!

I answered something similar previously but I am lazy to look back, but to reiterate and add on to it: they are completely supportive.

First, let's remember that the main reason other deities see MC as inferior is because they do not know what they are meant for. This is usually revealed during their emergence, but for them, it is not so clear. Not being able to wield immense power is only a symptom of their meaninglessness, not the source of resentment. If MC serves no purpose, they do not contribute meaningfully to the world—the sole reason for existence for deities.

Rafaele is concerned for MC. While he accepts that MC may never have their meaning reveal themselves, he believes there is a possibility they have not yet discovered it. He hopes that it will make itself known one day! However, he is content for them to simply exist. He does not actively seek to know it.

Nero, on the other hand, rejects this idea for meaning. No being, not even gods, need a reason for existence. The Chaotic Universe itself is proof of that. If you can remain with him and Rafaele to enjoy the world they have crafted together, he doesn't need more. Having you play a hand in it would simply be a bonus, which he feels you do already in tremendous ways that others cannot see.

So, too long didn't read, they have no internal conflict about it!

As for modesty, there is no real requirement. Some of the second-generation gods like to show more skin! It is only the first generation of gods who prefer to robe themselves conservatively. Nudity is not inherently taboo among deities.

Ohh! I do allow anxious MCs to exist already, but for them to fear being an experiment would be very interesting! I will definitely have to consider it.

Salvatore's own thoughts on MC is... complicated.

I feel like I'm pretty indifferent to most of them. This is super cringe of me, but whenever I fall super in love with a character I don't often like shipping them romantically with anyone. 💀 (im delusional I know)

ESP given that liam and bryce DO end up standing near humans at two points and seem to be around the same height! IDK... theres just smth so cool to me about imagining objects just hanging out. that you could be at eye level w them. its almost unsettling but not enough for it to be noticable!!!! its kinda like theyre Large Beasts, but almost SHOCKINGLY human!!!!! like they could believably just. live in the same house as a human with near minimal adjustments. like having an alien living w u. that may just be my general interest in alien/creature/whatever design, but i just RLY enjoy them being similar to humans in small ways, but different in more SUBTLE but arguably MORE extreme ways if that makes ANY sense!!!!

#im just thinking abt celyn and the fact that shes licherally the least qualified of my dragon age heroes for the position of inquisitor #which is hilarious but also interesting and i wish i could explore that in the game. yknow #ch: celyn #like shes a blood mage n part of the mage rebellion she hates the chantry she would blow one up à la anders if she could #she was raised in a tower with no contact with the outside world n didnt get out until the age of 19 when andrale conscripted her #she is full of pent up anger she has no skill in diplomacy no idea how to lead n represent some holy army or manage foreign relations #and the only reason anyone listens to her is bc she has the anchor n bc shes kinda terrifying. #obviously the game cant accommodate every possible backstory n personality the player cooks up in their head for their inky #and i Guess not being able to roleplay properly is purely my fault for making a character with a homebrewn backstory in the first place lol #but like...... it would have been so interesting if they'd shown the inquisitor struggling with their position #and given them opportunities to make mistakes that are objectively bad #bc like none of the origins is qualified for that shit lmao. except maybe non-mage trevelyan #so in fact its also bw's fault for giving such vague backstories for the origins #like they could've given us a character who is qualified and whose competence is believable. like shepard or whatev #or. they could've kept the vague backstories n let players come up with the rest and given more room for roleplaying #and presented opportunities for the inky to struggle leading a fantasy catholic army #when they've never been in a leadership position before and/or are not fantasy catholic themselves #god i just!!!!! the lack of Thought put into dai's writing still frustrates me in the year of our lord 2023!!!!!! #they dont even let you shank an npc for looking at you wrong like in dao!!!!! #at least you can have vivienne kill that one noble guy for insulting inky's honor. celyn totally does that btw

Now I'm not saying I'm thinking of writing a Steddie Midnight Mass AU

But

Imagine Hawkins, a little idyllic town in the middle of nowhere, so out of ways from any other community for miles, only surrounded by trees. It's small and cozy and it brims with simplicity.

It's been years since Steve came home. He was never supposed to come back.

His family obviously did not greet him; instead they go to the church more often than not, just to avoid him. He saw the kids, happy and healthy and definitely older, the weight of life starting to bear down on them. And then to his own surprise, he saw Eddie. He wasn't supposed to come back either.

Eddie claimed it was because of Uncle Wayne, but even Wayne was confused. Soon enough, Steve became suspicious. Because Eddie was spending a lot of time at church, with his parents - always away at night.

That's the thing, too. Night time was different. Everything was so still and it sent shivers down Steve's back because he could feel something watching him.

He started reconnecting with Eddie, trying to figure out what's going on - why he's back when they promised each other that this town was far from anything they ever needed. But maybe it was the thing they needed to come back to each other.

Meanwhile, Hopper found dead animals around the perimeter of the town, El's been acting weirder than usual, Will felt the shift in the air, and maybe Nancy could figure it all out like she usually does - before it was too late.

Is there a second chance amidst all the darkness surrounding this town of Hawkins? Or will it be consumed by its demons, preying at night?

#rat rambles #oni posting #for context in the raccoon au both olivia and jackie get printing podded dw abt the logistics too much imagine joshua was involved or smth #but basically olivia semi unintentionally ai-ed the two of them after severely wounding jackie #it was the climax of years of brewing resentment and rage so she was acting quite irresponsibly #the two as pods both awken around the same time on different planetoids #you see the reason Im so committed to this idea is not just because of fun character stuff but also because of hypothetical gameplay stuff #the idea of starting on two planetoids that your dupes cant physically travel between but still having to manage both colonies through #teamwork between both colonies has always been an idea Ive been a big fan of #plus I get to imagine the two talking to eachother not knowing that they're like so mega divorced and also they both kind of sucked in life #and by kind of I mean one did an attempted murder and the other was jackie lol #it also gives me the fun space to play in to compare how I imagine ai jackie would be like compared to ai olivia #I imagine her being a lot more eager to build her colony at first until she starts finding gravitas stuff and starts throwing hissy fits #and by that I mean she gets genuinely rly upset and tried to go into denial before eventually cracking under the weight of her own memories #shed try to disctract herself with progress but since the dupes are deliberately designed to avoid progress shed get frustrated fast #now the duped Can invent new things and grow but jackie wouldn't know that and she'd assume they literally can't #she doesnt view her dupes very kindly and without the carrot of progress she'd start spiraling fast I think #this mixed with raccoon au stuff makes for a very messy combination since not only is there the this was all for nothing feeling but also #the this in question involved actively backstabbing the person she loved most and watching as she grew to hate her so much that she #attempted an actual murder against her and somewhat succeeded #and also said person is still around and is berating you for breaking down because she's better at repressing her memories than you #raccoon au jackie is rly the only one I think itd be particularly interesting to keep around post world ending because she already had some #very repressed guilt before the end so the idea of peeling off the film on that amd letting her pop is fun to me #I also like the idea because it forces olivia into a position where shes left for the rest of time with a woman she hated #and not knowing what to do with that as she finds herself feeling less and less towards the woman she one loved and hated #for raccoon au jackie removing her from the life she had before makes it all crash down on her that much harder #and for raccoon au olivia removing her from it makes it all feel oh so small in retrospect #this ofc differs massively from how Id characterize canon olivia and jackie as canon jackie would likely make for a much more boring pod #and rabbit au jackie can't be there because then shed just reassure olivia that shes done nothing wrong ever and theyd go back to their #doomed codependent toxic yuri ways for the rest of time
