We're all broken here: five hargreeves and reader.
Tumblr media
Summary: Five is known to say exactly what is on his mind, even if it may hurt someone else. What if he takes it too hard and aim at the one person he really cares about. Will she understand?
A/N: This is just some story focused mostly on family relationships and supporting each other. no romance, just brother-sister stuff. Located somewhere in season 1. no "y/n"s
***
„Shit! Why you gotta be so stupid?!”
This last words echoed through the rooms and hallways of Hargreeves mansion leaving all of the siblings frozen. Despite the fact that Five was the one to use them he already regretted it.
“Eight, I …” he stuttered
“No. You  know what, it’s fine. I’m stupid and you’re mean. Let’s settle here and move on. No sorries, no I didn’t mean it, because for a matter of fact you did mean it.” It took all of her courage and inside strength not to fall apart at this adjective. She was used to being called weak, pathetic, distant, unattractive and plump and that did nothing to her. Aiming at her intelligence however, the only thing she was building her confidence on was just too much. But of course she would never let her idiotic 80somethign year old brother in a kid’s body know that.
“Eight….”
“Save it. We are good. I’m gonna go, but by all means you stay here.”
“Oh, no, honey, wait, wait for me! I’m not leaving you alone with your misery!” Klaus stood up immediately and stumbling a bit followed his sister with a bottle of alcohol in one hand.
“Low blow Five. Really in-style” Alison , aka number three mocked.
“Oh, just shut up and give me a break” Five hissed with clenched fist in his best attempt to teleport back to his room and move on with work and equations that did not make any sense.
“You’re not gonna do this” Diego, number two pointed a knife in his direction. Eight was his favorite sister, always there to calm him down after a fight or to help him with his stuttering or whatever else he had going on and inside he always felt the need to protect her.  She might have been gifted with seeing people’s auras, manipulating their emotions and occasionally getting into their thoughts but she couldn’t use that on herself. And at this moment, surely she had a lot.  “You’re gonna go to her and apologize.”
“I do not have to listen to you, Diego” Five squinted and took a sip of coffee, which was his inherent accessory. “And as a matter of fact, I will not. I’m out.”
“He’s a prick” Luther, number one mumbled with his mouth full when Five excused himself in a flash of blue light. “But that is nothing new.”
“He never was for her” number seven, Vanya shook his head “this whole apocalypse business must have really got into his head if he’s acting like that.”
“Nope” Luther pointed “you seem him differently cause you two always had a connection. But Five is an ass.”
“Hear, hear” Alison nodded
“Hate to say it, but Luther’s right.” Diego stood up.
“Do you think I should check on Klaus and Eight? Don’t know which one will have worse influence on the other.” Vanya was truly the only one who wasn’t afraid to show she cared.
“Leave them be. She can handle herself. In fact, I see Klaus getting advice from her not the other way round. He’s been acting strange lately.”
“Can’t remember the time when he was not.”
***
Meanwhile in eight’s room she was sitting on her bed with legs up to her chest, staring blankly into a space. Well, in fact she was staring at the wall bordering her room from five’s but it was not intentional.
“My lovely sister!” Klaus stumbled into her room and fell on the bed making the girl jump a little. “Do not torture yourself with Five’s words. This is unhealthy.”
“Look who is talking about unhealthy” she smirked pointing towards the bottle “care to share?”
“Um…. Sure, yeah, why not? Here you are.” He took a long sip before passing the alcohol to her “enjoy.”
“Klaus?”
“Yes, dear?”
“It’s empty, you ball of fuzz. You drank the last drops”
“Ups. Sorry.” he grinned “I’m sure you can do without, right?” he hid his face in the bed sheet and groaned
“You left me no choice. Anyway, anything I can do for you, brother?”
“Me?” he raised himself on the elbows and looked straight at her, his hair being a mess, confusion all over his face “Oh, no, I’m fine. I’m fine.”
“Klaus.”
“Yes.”
“I can see your aura, remember? I can feel your emotions.”
“And what do you see, sister my?”
“Brown.” She raised an eyebrow
“You have to be more specific on that.”
“Well, you are either high, but that’s usual or you’ve been dealing with your ghost powers. I bet the latter.”
“I’m working hard you know, I’m trying” he cried “I even let Diego tie me to a chair so I would keep on track”
“So that’s what it was all about. Cute.”
“Don’t mock me” Klaus fell on his back dramatically “It’s exhausting.”
“Sure is. Ben giving you a hard time lately?”
“Not more than usual.” Number six, Ben, died at 17, but was still showing himself to Klaus and on some occasions Eight was capable of feeling his presence and emotions.
“It’s so good that at least you believe me I see him” Klaus grabbed her hand “He’s terrible. Won’t let me do a single thing.”
Liar.
“Oh, shut up, Ben”
“He’s here now? Where?”
Come on, eight, focus. I’m …. right…. here….
“Sitting on the window sill. You feel him?”
“Somewhat. I see yellow from that side. He’s mad. Not sure if It’s about you being a liar or ….”
The other one, obviously. Tell her, Klaus!
“Yeah, it’s about Five. Now, come here, sis. Let me hug you and make the pain go away. You do know you are not stupid, right?”
“Of course I do. But thank you Klaus.” She was more than happy to let her brother embrace her.
***
There was no denying that this damn upcoming apocalypse had an effect on every one of the siblings. Each of them reacted in their own way, leaving Luther and Alison spending the rest of the time together, Diego doing his vigilante shit, Klaus crying his heart out on Eight’s shoulder and Five going crazy. More than usual. Doing stuff he was not supposed too.
“Eight.” It was his best chance to make things right with her, so he appeared inside her room startling Klaus.
“Ah! Five. Don’t do this.”
“Go away. I need a word with her.”
“I don’t know if she….”
“If you don’t leave in like 5 seconds I’m gonna ….”
“Ok, fine, fine. I’m leaving. Jeez, threatening, Five? Seriously? I’m fragile!”
“Get out, Klaus!”
“Come on, Ben. We’re out.”
Nope. I’m staying. This will be interesting.
“Don’t you disobey me, now!” four yelled at the air making both Five and Eight look at him in confusion. Five more than his sister since she saw a bit of red in the air. Ben was angry for being told what to do. She shook her head not sure what to do with three brothers, one dead inside her room.
“You know what, since you all act like lunatics, I’m gonna go. Whoever has a business with me, feel free to join. I’ll get coffee and wait in the garden.
And with that she left Klaus bantering with Ben and dumfounded Five behind.
***
“Come out now, blue, I can see you” couple minutes later she was sitting on the garden bridge, legs hanging from the edge, sipping coffee, watching the street.
“Stop calling me that” Five took a step towards her, hands in pockets, his whole posture a little slouched.
“I can’t help you just radiate this color.”
“And what does that mean to you. Sadness? I am not sad.”
“Of course not. Blue is not sadness, it’s more … thinking, considering. I can almost feel the wheels in your brain turning. So, the question is, what is on your mind to leave you like this?”
“Stop playing around. You know damn well what this is about.”
“Guilt?” she tilted her head
“Don’t push me Eight! You can say it to yourself.”
“Maybe” she refused to look at him “but I want you to express it.”
“I never should have called you that.”
“If that’s what troubles you ….”
“No. Don’t interrupt me!”
“How could I. After all you are older than me.” She fixed her gaze on the tree on the opposite side of the road.
“Look, Eight” he sighed in exasperation and rubbed his forehead “I saw you all die. I have lived through the apocalypse, and came back here looking like a kid. Surely you understand it is not… normal.”
“I do. And?”
“And…. This may have some effect on how I behave.”
“I call bullshit, Five.”
“Fine!” he yelled “you are infuriating, you get the craziest ideas, you make me mad and small, you constantly undermine what I do and …..”
“And what?” she finally looked at him. The second she laid her eyes on his face he could not hide anymore. She saw right through him like an open book. Not only because of her abilities, but because she was always the one closest to him. Challenging, yes. Demanding, yes. But at the same time so ambitious that it made him want to do more, to do better. To outsmart her, to impress her and to prove that he was in fact worth her friendship. He sighed, feeling utterly defeated.
“I hate you, Eight.” The boy shook his head in frustration  “But at the same time you are my sister and after some snarky comments and spiteful words I would jump into the fire for you.”
“I know. That is why I did not take what to you said to me personally.”
“It didn’t look like that to me.”
“Well then you are no smarter than me, dumbass. We are family, we are all broken, messy, chaotic and a bunch of individuals. We fight, scream at each other, get mad and even do not talk for … how many years?” she smiled at him “but at the end of the day we resist the urge to kill each other and that is the progress.”
“You want to kill me, Eight?”
“Sometimes, yes. Do you remember that?” she moved slightly so he could see a carving on the bridge.
“Fight” he smirked “Like Five and Eight combined.”
“How old were we when we made that up? Six?”
“Possibly. It’s good to see some things stays the same.”
“You know Five, we may have grown up, but seems like our relationship will always come down to this one words. Fight. Each other or other people, never mind. To me it just mean we are here for one another.”
“I’ll drink to that.”
“Good” she raised her cup “but stay away from my coffee. If there’s anything about you I know is that you are an ass, mischievous, spiteful, vengeful …”
“Careful there sister….”
“I’m not done yet… you act on impulse and do not mince your own words, but you are not cruel.”
“What do you mean?”
“I’ve seen my fair share of people who wanted to hurt another. Their faces when they told words that were meant to tear each other apart and to cause damage. There were so much viciousness inside. That single purpose on their mind to break and destroy. Whatever you may think about yourself you are not like that, Five. You are not evil. Just a menace.”
“So touching” he mocked  “I think I’m about to cry.”
“Don’t mind my presence than” she took another sip and having finished the coffee put the cup down ”“Now. You got silver sparkling in your cloud. Who are we fighting with today?”
“Have I ever told you about the Commission?” he squinted at her.
“Nope. But it seems like a long story. I’m listening.”
Yes. After all, they were family. And at the end of the day they were up to get rid of anyone who would threat a member of it.

(I'm so glad Five is allowed to say "fuck" in the show now, he deserves it.)
Me: fuck!
Five: language!
Me: you say fuck all the time!
Five: yeah, but I'm basically your legal guardian, I can tell you not to say it.

hey, I don't mean to be rude, and trust me you don't have to post this one out there or something. I just wanted to tell you that in your fivexreader fic, "retirement", you used viktor's dead name.
I understand that it might just be a silly and out-of-habit mistake. but could you change it?
I know it seems silly to protect a fictional character like this but as a trans person myself, the presentation of viktor was one of the clearest and most representative things, and I, myself relate to him loads and it hurts when people don't acknowledge it.
hi! I didn't mean to be rude or insensitive for using viktor's old name, I did question myself when writing, but I only used his old name because the scene I had in mind for the fic happened in the tv show before the transition! I apologize if it came off as ignorant, I absolutely loved that the writer's wrote on Elliot's transition as I love him as an actor personally and Viktor finally getting to be himself was truly one of the best parts of the season
i was inspired for "retirement" by the scene at the end of the first episode where five luther klaus and diego were having chinese and we had the iconic line of the Luther mountain hehe, which was before the transition
but I shall change it!

Sitting a coffee shop I was on my computer working on homework. Currently doing my Trigonometry project that in my opinion stupid as all hell (I’m totally not projecting on the reader). I let out a frustrated groan as I once again read over the instructions and still having no clue what the teacher wanted me to do. I had my notebook open and flipped through notes hoping that could help me in any way yet got nowhere.
You know what, fuck school. I minimized the tab and I felt an empty feeling wash over, not knowing what to do now. I took a sip of the tea I had forgetting I had it simply due to the fact I was too busy stressing over school. I let out a sigh and closed my eyes trying to lessen my stress.
The sound of ceramic hitting wood caused me to open my eyes. A guy took a seat across from me (I was sitting in a booth). He was handsome I’ll give him that and to be honest I was surprised and confused on why he sat by me when there were many empty seats. My terrible social skills were apparent when my mind went blank, not knowing what I should say. I stared at him from behind my computer screen trying to make out what he wanted. He looked at me for a few seconds before going to stare out the window.
Deciding to ignore the weird cute guy in front of me I pulled out my phone to text my math group chat to see if my friends could help. They didn’t reply fast enough for my liking and I decided that I should read the instructions one more time. Reading it more thoroughly I finally understood the basic of what I need to do. I smiled proudly at myself for being smart enough to slightly understand. I wrote down the correct equations in my note book and solved them, not really caring if they were wrong.
“You did it wrong,” The guy finally spoke up pointing at one of the problems I solved.
I looked up at him and shrugged, “Too bad, teacher’s gonna have to deal with it.” I looked back down at my work and I heard him sigh.
“You forgot to add 4,” He hummed as he took a sip of his coffee. Looking over my work I realized he was correct and went to fix it.
“Thanks,” I thanked him.  “My name’s (y/n), nice to meet you!” I smiled nicely. It was nice of him to help a stranger with their math work.
“The name’s Five,” Five replied. “Nice to meet you too.” During our entire interaction he didn’t smile once and it made me kinda nervous. I didn’t want to annoy him but he was the one talking to me.
“Why am I helping a stranger?” A voice said in my head. I furrowed my eyebrows not understanding why that went through my head? The sudden thought made me lose my focus on what I thought was important.
“What the hell...” My thoughts trailed off as I stared at my computer confused. And of course a song got stuck in my head and that moment and I tapped my pen to the imaginary rhythm.
“Why is a song I never heard running through my head?” The strange voice said once again.
“Okay this is weird, why would I think that about (favorite song)?” I thought.
“What’s your favorite song (y/n)?” Five asked me randomly. I tilted my head to the side and sent him a stare of confusion. “Humor me.”
“(Favorite song),” I replied. Five looked at me with a look of realization but his face went back to his normal stoic look. He nodded and then looked back out the window.
“So I do have a soulmate,” The voice said in my head and I felt my eyes widen. I totally forgot soulmates were a thing. I remember my mom saying something about them before but I never truly believed her. What did she say about them again? Once you meet your soulmate you gain a mental bond? That would explain the voice in my head. I looked back up at Five.
“How did I get such an attractive soulmate?” I wondered, but then I realized he probably heard that and I felt completely flustered.
“Not to bad yourself,” Five thought smirking at me. I felt my cheeks flush and I looked away.
“Fuck me,” I thought wanting to escape the situation I found myself in.
“Take me out to dinner first,” He replied and I choked on my tea. I gave him a wide eyed stare and he chuckled but tried to hide it behind his hand.
“Don’t laugh!” I exclaimed not being able to stop myself from laughing as well.
“Is little Five smiling?” Someone asked like they just saw the most bizarre thing in the world. I looked to my left and saw a man, who had amazing taste if I do say so myself, sit down next to Five.
“What are you doing Klaus,” Five said with a glare.
“He’s never going to let this go,” Five thought.
“Is it so bad that I want to see what my little brother is doing?” Klaus asked putting a hand over his heart pretending to be sad/shocked.
“I’m not giving you any money,” Five retaliated with a huff.
“Wha-?” Klaus lets out with wide eyes which soon turn into puppy dog eyes. “Can’t I just see why my brother is sitting with a pretty young lady?” Klaus put his attention on to me and give me a wide grin, “My name is Klaus, nice to meet you!”
“(Y/n), nice to meet you as well!” I grinned back. Klaus glanced behind him before standing up.
“It was nice meeting Five’s love interest but I have to head out now,” Klaus smiles at us before continuing. “Make sure you use protection.” Once again my cheeks flushed and I felt my eyes widen.
“Ignore my sad excuse of a brother,” Five sighed out like that one moment drained all his energy.
“I think he was funny,” I laughed slightly. Five rolled his eyes but I noticed the faintest of grins rested on his face.
“I’m glad she likes him,” Five thought and a happy grin rested on my face. We sat in silence for a bit enjoying each others company. I saw the time and realized I needed to head home. I packed my computer in my backpack and stood up. I felt Five’s gaze on me and I gave him an apologetic smile.
“I have to head home now,” I explained and he nodded in understanding.
“Meet me here at 2pm tomorrow,” Five said handing me a paper that held an address. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
“Uhm...okay,” I nodded slowly.
“Then it’s a date,” Five smirked and walked off.
“I wonder what their favorite movie is...” I heard Five think and I realized what type of date it’s going to be.
“(Favorite movie).”

Chapter Nine
"So I'm Going to need you to focus. WHAT do they want?" Diego asked.
"Hazel and cha-cha," Five said.
"Who?" Diego asked.
"You know, I have code names," Luther said.
"Ah, the best of the best," I said.
"Except for us, of course," Five said.
"The best of what?" Luther asked.
"You know, Delores always said she hated when I drink," Five said. "She said it made me surly..."
"Of for fuck sake!" I groaned.
"Hey!" Diego yelled and turned around.
"Hmm? Yeah?" Five said.
"I need you to focus. What do this Hazel and Cha-cha want?" Diego asked.
Give just smirked at him holding onto that stupid ass doll.
"We just want to protect you," Diego said.
"Protect us? You can't protect us. We don't need you to protect us. Do have any idea how many people Five and I have killed?" I said.
"We're the four frickin horseman," Five said. "The Apocalypse is coming," he said before turning his head and throwing up.
"Great. Just great! Let's freaking go, now!" I said walking away.
We had gotten to Diego's place and Luther laid Five down on the bed while Diego put the doll in the chair. I stood by the door leaning on the railing. I wanted to burn the dumbass doll. "Am I jealous of a doll?" I asked myself and shook my head.
"Funny. If I didn't know he was such a prick, if say he looks almost adorable in his sleep," Diego said.
He wasn't wrong. Five was adorable when he slept. Which was rare, he was always doing something. He pretty much ran off coffee.
"Well, don't worry. He'll sober up eventually," Luther said. "Be back to his normal, unpleasant self."
"Yeah, I can't wait that long," Diego said. "I need to find out what his connection is with these lunatics."
"What about you? What do they want with you?" Diego asked.
"To kill us obviously," I snarked.
The owner of the place ended up coming down and telling Diego that his friend Patch called. She needed his help and she had found his brother.
"Klaus," I said when he and Luther looked confused. Diego ended up leaving to go help patch leaving me and Luther with Five.
Five woke up about an hour later. He sat up and groaned. He ran his hands down over his shirt and blazer so smooth it. He stopped and patted his pocket before reaching inside. His head slowly lifted and looked around the room. His eyes landed on me standing in the same spot I had been, up by the door leaning on the railing.
He stated at me with his hand still in his pocket. I knew he was fiddling with the ring. I looked down when Luther sat in front of Five. He asked him what happened and why Hazel and Cha-Cha were after us. Five explained to him that we had gone into the future and it was all burned. That they were here to stop us from fixing it.
"When's It supposed to happen?" Luther asked. "This... Apocalypse."
"Well, I can't give you the exact hour, but... what I could gather, we have four days left," Five said.
"Why didn't you say something sooner?" Luther asked.
"It wouldn't have mattered," Five said.
"Of course it would. We couldn't have banded together and helped you try to stop this thing," Luther said.
I walked down the steps and Five followed my movements with his eyes. "For what it's worth, you already did. You died," I said.
"We die?" Luther said.
I and Five both looked down. "Yeah, horribly," I whispered.
"You we were together. Trying to stop whoever it was that ends the world," Five said.
"Wait how do you know that?" Luther asked.
Five pulled the eye out and showed it to him. "I found this clutched in your hand. You must have ripped it out of their head before you went down," Five said.
"Whose head?" Luther asked.
"We don't know," I said.
"Well, there's a serial number on the back," Luther started.
"Dead end," I told him.
"It's just another hunk of glass," Five said. Luther handed it back to him and he took it back in his pocket.
Diego then just through the door pissed off. Luther stood up and watched as Diego came charging at us. "Piece of shit," he said.
"Do you have any idea what you just did?" He asked and Luther grabbed hold of him before he could reach us.
"Nope let me... get your ape hands off of me!" Diego growled at Luther.
Luther lifted him up off the ground. Five just sat there and watched while I stood beside the bed and rolled my eyes. "I can do this as long as it takes you to calm down," Luther said.
Diego calmed down and Luther let him go. "Now, wanna tell us what you're talking about?" Luther asked.
"Our brother and sister have been pretty busy since they got back,' Diego said looking at us. "They were in the middle of the shoot out at Griddy's, and then at Gimble Brothers, after the guys in masks attacked the Academy, looking for them."
"None of which is your concern," Five said calmly.
"It is now. They just killed my friend," Diego said.
I sighed and looked down. Luther looked over at us "who are they Five? Eight?" He asked.
"They work for our former employer. A woman named The Handler," Five said. I moved and sat on the bed beside him.
"She sent them... to stop us. Then, as soon as Diego's friend got in their way, Well, fair game," I said.
"And bow their my fair game," Diego said. "And I'm gonna see to it they pay."
Diego started to walk back to the stairs "that would be a mistake, Diego," Five said. "They've killed people far more dangerous than you."
"Yeah, we'll see about that," Diego said as he headed out the door.
Luther turned to look down at both Five and I. "Former employer. What's this really about?" He asked. "And don't give me any of this "it's none of your business" crap l, all right?"
"Well, it's a long story," Five said.
Luther looked at him and slowly sat on the chair he had been in before Diego came back. We began to tell him how when we ended up jumping we landed in the apocalypse. How everything was burned and buildings were destroyed and no one was alive. We told him how we ended up getting separated for five years.
Then we told him about The Handler showing up. Explaining why she was there. That the deal was we worked for the commission for 5 years and then once our time was up we could choose anytime date and time we wanted to back to.
"They turned us into the perfect instrument for rehabilitation of the time continuum," Five said. "Or "corrections," as they called them."
"We weren't the only ones. There were others like us. Being out of time, fractured, extracted from lives that they knew," I said.
"They don't know how they got there. But I do know that none of them were as good as us," Five said. "They didn't realize it, but we were biding our time, trying to figure out the right equation so we could get back. If we could just get back, we knew we could stop the apocalypse."
"Save the world," I said.

Five x Reader
•••
I was number ten. I hadn't even gotten a name yet. Our 'father' (if you could even call him that) had just labeled us with numbers. I had always been close with my 'siblings' (if they were to be called that also).
I was closest with five and klaus. mostly because we shared a lot of common interests- and mainly because our rooms were right beside each other.
It had been a bad day. the academy had tried to stop bank robbers. we tried handling it in our usual playfully menacing way- but there was too many of them. they all had big guns too, and weren't afraid to shoot children. we barely got out alive. I had to kill someone, which I usually didn't do. I had always knocked the bad people out and five had finished them off for me. he knew I hated the killing. all the blood, screaming, and whimpering. so he did it for me. but today we didn't have time. I had to do it for real, and it hurt.
we went home and mr hargreeves scolded us about how the mission should've 'been done quickly and efficiently' and how we failed him. I went to the bathroom and showered. trying to get the blood off my hands, but the red still appeared. no matter how hard I scrubbed and washed... my skin was stained red. I don't know how long I sat there and cried. maybe 20 minutes... but it felt like hours. I sat on the bottom of the shower-bath and let the water hit me. I jolted up then froze in shock when I heard a knock on the door.
"ten...? are you alright?" the voice belonged to five.
I quickly turned the handle all the way to the right to shut the water off. opened the curtain to grab my towel and wrapped it around so everything that needed to be covered, was.
I opened the door a crack to reveal five standing outside of it. he had a plate with two peanut butter and marshmallow sandwiches on it. "I was gonna jump into the bathroom to see if you were okay, but it's a good thing I decided against that." he was trying to joke, make me feel a bit better, but it wasn't working. I walked past him, our shoulders bumping into each other as I did so.
I made my way to my room and shut the door when I saw him follow. "I'm changing!" I shouted, so he wouldn't try to come in.
my closet only had one outfit. my uniform. I had multiple of course, but that was the only thing I owned. the only thing I would ever own. because I wasn't a person. I was a test hamster. an object. a number. a killer.
I put my uniform on sprawled out on my light blue coloured bed. "you can come in now!" I shouted out to five, who was definitely still waiting outside. there was a flash of greenish-blue light and there he was inside my room.
"there is a door, you know." was all i said. I was still laying on my bed, still looking up at the roof, still imagining the red on my hands.
I heard five put the plate down on my desk and step towards my bed. "move over." he asked, and immediately, I did. I moved over a little and he laid down beside me.
he moved so he was on his side, one arm propping his neck and head up, he was staring at me - trying to read me. "do you want to talk about it?" he had the most expressionless look on his face and it was pissing me off.
"how do you do it five? how can you just kill people without it bothering you? because I can't. I'm not a killer-i can't do this. all I can see is that mans blood on my hands and I try to wash it off but it comes back." I was sitting up now, my hands were shaking or- maybe my whole body was trembling. five sat up too, he calmly grabbed my hands and held them.
"it's okay. it will be okay. you just need to calm down." I couldn't look up at him. I just felt so weak in comparison. he was this strong-willed fighter and I was the weak sidekick.
"i can't kill anymore people... I cant do it. I know I'm weak but I just- I think I need to stop."
five let out a small chuckle. that is when I finally looked up. "you're laughing at me... you asshole." I pushed his shoulder, kind of hard.
"It's just... you think you're weak. but I think you're probably the strongest of us all. we all bow down to the old man. we're his bitches. not you. you've never been eager to please him, or conform to his ways. you know who you are and you aren't afraid to do it. I mean- you've gone what- 12 years without killing anyone... he trained us to be killers, but not you." he pulled me into a tight hug. five wasn't big on physical affection, so this meant a lot to me. I buried my face into his shoulder, he smelt really good.
when we both pulled away it felt like a weight had been lifted off my chest. I knew he was right... but I still felt like garbage.
I thought he was going to leave, but instead he laid back down. "I always wished I was more like you... did you know that?" he looked up at me, and I laid down back beside him.
I tried hard not to smile. he was just trying to make me feel better. "that's a lie."
our faces were close and my heart was beating fast. this wasn't weird, we had done this millions of times. we always laid together, sometimes we even shared a bed. It was normal. but mr hargreeves had always warned us about feelings. he said that allison and luther's relationship wasn't allowed whatever it was.
"it isn't. I always wished I was like you... not able to kill. I wish I hadn't started killing the first place, because now I'm too far gone." he looked down.
I put a hand on his shoulder. "you're not too far gone five... you can always come back. you're always welcome back." that's when he looked up.
our eyes met and he started leaning closer into me. my heart was beating a million miles an hour, beating so loud I couldn't hear anything.
"what the hell are you guys doing?" it was diego.
five and I both fell on opposite sides of my bed. "nothing!" we shouted. I couldn't look over at him. I was too embarrassed.
"she was upset about the mission this afternoon... I was trying to comfort her." five managed to stutter out, I only nodded.
diego just sighed. "whatever, it's fine. dad just sent me up to say dinner was ready." he looked at us both again, then he was off.
five and I stood there awkwardly. then I finally broke the silence. "well... uh let's go eat then." I tried my best to shoot him a smile, and he did the same. "okay ten."

Hate (part 1)
Five x reader (the umbrella academy)
Loved the serie had to make a fanfic :)
Tumblr media
It was just weird the feeling of being new into a house where everybody knows everybody, and being just new. Everyone in this extensive mansion knew each other perfectly fine, and that make some feel like an outcast. The first day I got here everybody was 14, so did I, but I felt so insecure that I locked myself on the dorm getting out just to eat. The house was actually full of children but I felt so alone in the inside. The second week was when I started going out on mission as eight, even though seven was ordinary my number was after hers. Today was actually my third week on this mansion, and I just started to actually know very body around here, even though I accostumbrated to hung out with Allison, have girl talks and just do what normal teenagers do even though we’re not completely normal. My powers were actually connected to the four normal elements; water, fire, air and earth. They were common in difference with ben’s or five’s ones. Everything was actually going fine today, but as life doesn’t love to see everything perfect I accidentally bumped with five. Bloody hell that guy hated me, didn’t talk to me, look at me, or even had the decency of helping me on the battles.
“Careful” he whispers and keeps going all the way down the hall until he finds his bedroom door and disappears on the black shadow of his dorm.
It was frustrating having to support someone who hates you and you didn’t even gave him the reason to. That’s when I heard Allison’s voice.
“Y/n! Y/n! Why are you so angry?” She shouted as she ran towards me as fast as she could.
“What are you talking about, I’m perfectly fine!” I lied trying to hide the actual angry me who was wanting to explode just because the stupid of five who hated me.
“Yes sure, and that’s why the garden outside it’s burning on flames, why all the water in the house is moving frantically from one place to another, the air is making himself as a tornado, and the ground is shaking” she said grabbing my hand for me to follow her down the hall.
“Why the hell are we going to his room?” I asked a little bit annoyed for the fact that I was going to see him.
“Well, the actual house is shaking, and everything is burning up summed up by the water caos, I think I’m trying to save him.” She says somehow sassily.
“Five” she knocked loudly on the door “get your feet here on this instant, or I will make y/n open the door”
“Going Allison, but if you don’t make Y/N go away I will not get out of here” he said my name like it was some kind of venom.
A big tornado arrasing from my bedroom came quickly to my side and then ripping off the door. I entered while Alison looked shocked still on the back of the door.
“Are you going to tell me why do you hate me?! Or are you just going to shout at me everytime I’m trying to talk?!” I shouted desesperately trying to calm myself before I burned the whole vecindary.
“It’s not hate eight, it’s just simple disgust for someone that’s trying to steal a place of another person here while she can’t” he spotted out, fire coming out of his voice like he was trying to deeply hurt me, and guess what, he did.
I just breathed, turned back and closed the door subtlety living to my room, making all the tears that were forming in my eyes to stop, so I could still have my pride.
Every kid on the house as outside five’s door, and actually gasped at his words, but he wasn’t going to make me look like a crying baby, so I just went to my room to cry on my own.
For the last three days, it was similar as my first days here, in my room alone, but this time not even going out to eat. Sometimes mom bringing me food other times Allison, everybody wanting me to actually talk, but no word care from me since that fight with five.
This morning nobody brought me breakfast, so I had to get out of my room to go to the kitchen, where I gladly funded the person I mostly loved, five.
In the millisecond I saw him i just glanced at another place without to even want to start a fight. I calmly grabbed the bread some marshmallows and peanut butter to create my favourite sandwich.
“Eating that? Impressive I must say” he said without anger in his voice, neither sass, just a normal voice.
“Don’t talk to me, you already said what you actually thought” I spited out the same bitterness in my voice, the same one as the one back from the day he made me cry.
Normally I could control my emotions pretty good, but I had a big problem. When I was angry I could only control fire, sad only water, but when I was stable I could control the four of them.
So I just closed the door with fire and burned the sandwich a little bit so it could have a touch of deliciousness that the burnt marshmallow give him.
“Sit, so we can talk” five said.
I sat and calmly ate my sandwich savouring every part of it.
“What do you want to talk about, of me robbing your place, or of me going? Cause that’s all I can think about to talk to you” I stated angrily.
“Aren’t you a sass? but no I actually came here to talk to you about something clearly more important” he firmly said.
“Hey look, if dad put you up here to say sorry to me, you don’t need to, you can tell him you did and that’s all” I replied, the anger still on my voice, and with that I placed my plate on the washer and went to my room.
(Back in the kitchen)
“What were you two loving birds doing?” A voice asked
“Shut up klaus, I was going to say sorry to her” five responded a bit rudely
“Yeah sure, and that’s why you had been practicing your ‘I like you’ speech. Do you know my room is next to yours right?” He playfully stated
“Don’t say a word” he whispered and leaves the scene disappearing from the kitchen to his room.

Paring: Five Hargreeves X Fem!Reader
Summary: Five goes through everything with his best friend, and when they return with the announcement of their marriage his siblings are appalled.
Request: “I can request a FiveXreader where the reader is loving, sweet and naive, Five's best friend but the reader has no powers (You can invent a way how they became best friends and they are in love with each other, cliché but I love) One day the reader was sitting in front of the Umbrella Academy and saw Five leave in a hurry (The scene that he will travel in time) In this the reader does not abandon Five and decides to travel in time with him, they end up trapped in the apocalylipse, can you make them stay together?  (Like married I don't know) And also the scene where they go back to 2019? Sorry, if this so bored”
Five couldn’t believe his eyes. After a failed mission, he and his siblings decided to sneak out. Klaus had spotted a park on the way home, and that’s where they went. For the first time in years, they felt like kids again. They were all ten years old and had never experienced a playground before. Allison had never laughed as much, and Diego seemed to finally forget his insecurities while swinging from monkey bars.
Even on occasion, Luther would help Ben cross the monkey bars. Vanya was finally included, and Klaus had never seemed so carefree in his life. But Five had his eyes on someone else. She sat at one of the navy blue tables, quite a ways away from the playground, watching the siblings with a soft smile on her face. A notebook was in front of her while she twirled a pencil in her hand.
Curiosity killed the cat. Five was too intrigued not to sit with her. So despite this probably being the only time he could experience a playground, he sat in front of her, obscuring her vision from his other six siblings. Her eyes met green ones; they looked evergreen in the dark of the night. His hair almost looked black, but she knew it had to be dark brown.
“Good evening.” Her voice, it sounded like heaven to him, “Evening.”
It felt awkward, and the silence could’ve been cut with a knife, “My names Y/n.”
“Five.”
“Five? That’s unique.” Y/n complimented, and his cheeks flushed, “Thanks….”
Her vision went back to the other kids, “You’d think they’ve never seen a playground before.”
“They haven’t.” Five stated, looking at his siblings, “Our father is strict, so we snook out to come here.”
“I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to come off as rude-“
“You didn’t.” Five smiled, looking at her e/c eyes.
Since then, Five would sneak out a lot more. His power was a fantastic tool. When he and his siblings began to sneak out more, Five always invited her. Klaus, Diego, and Vanya seemed taken with her. Y/n was always so kind and sweet. Her laugh radiated, and it made everyone around her smile. It was like she was Aphrodite, and he was Ares.
After becoming friends with the academy kids, Y/n had a habit of sitting outside the academy. She usually sat on the edge of the sidewalk with her notebook on her lap, pencil in hand. Five couldn’t remember a time when her hand wasn’t covered in graphite or ink from drawing. He adored it, though, because it was so her. It made him stare at his black pens, aimlessly smiling, knowing that she probably had the same color ink on her hand.
Becoming friends with Five meant knowing his ambition. Five Hargreeves was driven by his goals and wanted to do them regardless of the consequence. So Y/n knew about his dream to time travel despite his father's wishes. On a gloomy day, Y/n sat on the sidewalk. The only thing drawing her from her daydream was the slam of a gate.
“Five!”
He didn’t turn, “Five!”
Y/n grabbed his arm, “What’re you doing?”
“I’m- I’m going to time travel.” Five stated with that daze in his eyes, “And you need to stay here.”
“No! I’m not letting you go alone!” Y/n exclaimed incredulously, “Y/n, please.” Five pleaded.
She shook her head, “Absolutely not. Either we go together, or we stay here together.”
“Fine.” Five reluctantly agreed, holding out his hand for her.
Hesitantly Y/n slid her fingers through his. They were intertwining their hands together. Five was so focused on time-traveling correctly that he didn’t notice the pink flush on his best friend's face. But he did it, once and twice—finally a third time. Smoke clouded the area, and fire could be seen for miles.
Y/n dropped his hand and covered her mouth. Five circled in his spot in shock. He felt nauseous and queasy. He couldn’t believe that he let this happen. He shouldn’t have pushed himself. They were stuck. Fucking hell, they were stuck, and he couldn’t do anything. Y/n ran back to the academy, and Five followed her. The h/c haired girl stared at what used to be the Umbrella Academy. Now in ruins. Five dropped to his knees, tears collecting in his eyes.
“It’s- it’s gone….”
Y/n hugged him tightly, “It’s okay, we’re going to be okay.”
“I’m gonna- I’m gonna be-“
Five didn’t get to finish his sentence. He pushed her away and threw up to the side. When he finished, Y/n took her jacket sleeve and wiped it around his mouth—gently combing his hair from his face. Y/n had never seen Five look so drained. Seeing her in front of him, taking care of him made him break. Five broke into sobs holding onto her like a lifeline. Y/n rubbed his back and held him just as tightly.
“I’m here, Five. I’ll keep you safe.”
Being thirteen in an apocalypse seems like a death sentence, but when you grow up the way Five did, it’s more bearable. The first few months were awful. Searching for shelter, food, clothes. It was downright hell, but they made it through. On cold nights Five would hold her close to his chest, and on hot nights Y/n would always manage to get him cold water.
Years passed, and their friendship turned into a relationship. They needed each other to survive, and they just needed each other. Five couldn’t be more grateful that she insisted on coming. He couldn’t imagine doing this alone. But now, he had his girlfriend leaning her head on his shoulder while watching the fire. His arm wrapped around her shoulder, leaving occasional kisses on her temple.
“I couldn’t imagine this world without you.” Five confessed, “I couldn’t imagine my life without you.” Y/n challenged.
He smirked, “Oh, really?”
“Don’t let it go to your head, smartass.” Y/n snorted, “Too late, it’s already there, my love.” Five retorted.
She kissed his cheek, “Love you.”
“Love you too, darling.”
Five years later. They were twenty-five, and he wanted to make it official. It was a rather cold day wherever they were, and Five was holding her closer than ever. Y/n was shivering on the old mattress they had found. She was constantly snuggling closer to Five’s chest. They laid facing each other, and Y/n’s head was tucked under his chin. Five’s hand ran through her long hair - after being unable to cut it - soothing her nerves.
“Marry me.”
“What?”
“I want you - Y/n - to marry me.” Five repeated, looking down at her.
Her teeth chattered, “Are you sure?”
“It’s not like there’s anyone else to choose from.”
Y/n glared playfully, and Five chuckled, “Asshole.”
“So, what do you say? Make me the happiest man on earth and marry me?”
“I say that if my fiancé doesn’t stop being an asshole, then I won't marry him.” Y/n retorted jokingly, “I love you too, pretty girl.” Five replied, smiling softly.
He kissed her forehead and allowed her to muzzle closer into him. Gently he pulled the two plain rings he found. They were battered, of course, and the gold was dirty, but that didn’t matter. Five slipped the ring on her finger and his. Y/n placed a gentle kiss on his lips that he gladly returned. Sweet, soft, passionate, and full of love. A description of how she was.
“Love you.”
“Love you too.” Five replied, “Now get some sleep.”
Y/n was about to fall asleep when she heard Five mutter one last thing, “Y/n Hargreeves.”
29 years. 348 months. 1512 weeks. 10,585 days. Until a woman showed up in their shelter, offering them both a job. Five could remember pushing Y/n behind him defensively. The last thing he wanted was for her to get hurt in any interaction he had. The woman offered them a way home. Five turned to his wife, and she saw it. For the first time in forty-five years, she saw it. Hope.
Y/n took Five’s hand in his, squeezing it gently. The softest smile crossed his features before agreeing with the woman’s offer where both of them became assassins—partners in crime. Nothing turned Five on more than seeing his wife fend for herself, and god, was she good at it. Y/n was so naive and innocent when she was ten. But now? At the age of fifty-six, she wasn’t that girl anymore.
But when they reached the age of fifty-eight, Five finally found out the correct equation. They were at their last mission, make sure John F. Kennedy gets shot and everything goes to plan, but Five had different ideas. Taking Vanya’s book from his suitcase, he looked over the equations one last time. They were going back; Five would go home today.
“Y/n.”
“Yes, love?”
Five sighed, “Are you ready?”
“Ready for what?”
“To go home.”
Y/n’s smile was blissful; Five could’ve fainted on the spot, “Home?! Like- Like-“
“Home.” Five answered to his overjoyed wife.
Y/n kissed him more passionately than ever. Five could feel her gratefulness in her kiss. His hands placed themselves on her waist, and hers were around his neck. God Five never wanted to forget this feeling. The feeling of his wife in his arms, kissing him as she would never get enough. When they pulled apart, Five opened the portal. Gripping her hand, they jumped through and landed on the leaf-filled ground in the icy rain.
“Does anyone else see Little Number Five and Little Y/n, or is that just me?“ Klaus asked, not trusting his eyes; maybe it was an illusion from the drugs.
Five and Y/n stood up. The first thing Y/n noticed was the ring on her finger was too big now. But Five looked down at the suit he had been wearing previously. The blazer now reached his knees instead of his waist, and Y/n’s shirt was hanging off one of her shoulders. Five and Y/n looked at each other. They were thirteen all over again.
“Shit.”
He grabbed Y/n’s hand and dragged her into the academy. Y/n had only been in the academy a handful of times before, and she usually was only allowed in Five’s room because she wasn’t supposed to be there in the first place. His siblings followed aimlessly and took their spots at the table.
“What’s the date? The exact date.” Five inquired, grabbing different things around the kitchen.
“The 24th.”
“Of what?”
“March.”
“Good.”
Y/n took place beside him as Five began making a peanut butter marshmallow sandwich. The same snack he used to love as a kid. Y/n could remember him trying to eat it back at their apartment the commission provided them but complained it was too sweet. It seems that being in his teenage body again made him crave the sweetness of the snack.
“So, are we gonna talk about just what happened?” Luther questioned, but no one answered, “It’s been 17 years.”
Five scoffed, “It’s been a lot longer than that.”
The same big spatial jumped behind Luther as he began to take marshmallows from the cabinet, “I haven’t missed that.” Luther murmured.
“Where’d you two go?” Diego asked.
“The future.” Y/n answered politely, “It’s shit, by the way.” Five added spatial jumping beside her again and gently kissing her cheek.
The siblings stared in shock at Five’s sudden act of affection; Five could feel their eyes on him, “What?”
“You just kissed her.” Allison stated, “And?”
Allison didn’t say anything, “Is it a crime for me to kiss my wife or something?” Five asked agitatedly.
“Wife?!”
“Yes, wife.” Five sighed.
“Called it!” Klaus exclaimed.
“I should’ve listened to the old man. You know, jumping through space is one thing.” Five began as he looked through the fridge, “Jumping through time is a toss of the dice.”
He came back with peanut butter in his hand at the front of the table, his wife beside him; he took in the appearance of his siblings, “Nice dress.”
“Oh, well, Danke!” Klaus smiled.
“Wait, how did you two get back?” Vanya questioned.
“In the end, I had to project our consciousnesses forward into a suspended quantum state version of ourselves that exists across every possible instance of time.”
Diego couldn’t wrap his head around it, “That makes no sense.”
Five went to remark, but Y/n cut him off, “It doesn’t have to. All that matters is that we’re back.”
“How long were you two there?” Luther queried, “Forty-Five years. Give or take.”
Everyone looked at the two teens in disbelief, “So what are you saying? That you’re 58?”
“Well, not exactly. Our consciences are 58, but it appears that our bodies are back to 13.” Y/n answered.
“Wait, how does that even work?”
“It seems that Five might’ve gotten the equations wrong.” Y/n replied, and Five glared at her, “I’m not mad! I’m just happy we’re home. Appearance be damned.”
Five took notice of the newspaper in front of Y/n, “Guess I missed the funeral.”
“How’d you even know about that?” Luther inquired, “What part of the future do you not understand?” Five retorted.
“Heart failure?” Y/n asked, “Yeah/No.” Luther and Diego contradicted.
Five clicked his tongue, “Nice to see nothings changed.”
The teenage boy began to walk away, “Uh, that’s it? That’s all you have to say?” Allison questioned.
“What else is there to say? It’s the circle of life.”
Vanya was the first to get up and hug Y/n, “I’m glad you’re home.”
“Me too, Vanny. Me too.”

Note
I have a crazy suggestion for a FiveXreader, well, Five and the reader are married as they lived 45 years together in the apocalypse, but the night they were trying to stop Vanya from destroying the earth they ended up needing Five to get out of that place, but during the time travel process the reader (who is an ordinary person, without powers) ended up somehow absorbing inexplicable energy and which gave her very strong powers, the reader lands in 1963 1 month before Five arrives (You can decide what happens to the reader at that time) But then when Five arrives, talks to Elliot (All that start process, going to meet Luther) He manages to locate (Invent a shape please, I'm bad with this) The reader in one isolated place but when they meet the situation gets tense because the reader doesn't have full control of his powers and is afraid of hurting Five, but Five somehow helps her, makes it cute in the end please (The reader suffers from the absence of five and is almost bursting with joy to see him again, unlike his brothers who blame Five the reader doesn't think it's his fault and that makes Five happy
okay but this is so important?????
——
on the night the world ended and sent you and your siblings spiraling across time, something had changed—and not for the better. the details were fuzzy, and all you remembered was blue lightning scorching your insides, dazzling your nerves as it flowed from the boy next to you. his clenched brows and wide, scared eyes were the last thing you remembered seeing before blacking out, hair whipping around your limp form as you were teleported into the past.
he was all you could think about. trapped in time decades before you were born would be hard enough for anyone, but you had newfound energy sizzling through your veins that you had no idea how to control. you knew it was from five—it had to be, considering the blue aura that emanated from you when you were at your lowest, sobbing in utter frustration as you just wished for a sign of anyone you knew. but how to navigate your newfound power was a complete mystery—even five was unaware of his limits, and he was the strongest, smartest person you’d ever known.
it took him eight months and twenty-four days to find you and fifteen seconds to realize you weren’t moving towards him as he called your name in breathless hope. his step forward was met with a hiss from you, and he stopped abruptly, taken aback at your odd behavior.
”stop it, five—i don’t want to hurt you.” your voice was small, scared.
”i don’t understand what you mean,” he said, despairing at the way your body twisted away from him as if drawn by some primitive force. but as the taut, frightened lines of your body began to shimmer with an all-too-familiar blue glow, his eyes widened in shock and understanding.
”i know you’re scared, but you have to let me help,” he whispered, shifting softly towards where you were still cowering, avoiding his gaze. “hey—hey—look at me,” he breathed.
he could see the change in your eyes.
this was five, your five—and he’d come for you at last. all you had to do was let him finish what he’d started. and so you met his green gaze, tears spilling down your cheeks and catching the light from your limbs.
”okay,” you sobbed, and as you spoke, his fingers latched onto your wrist, sweeping up to hold both sides of your face.
”i’m here, i’m here,” he breathed, and chanted your name into your hairline like it was a prayer. your tears were scooped up by his fingers and spread all over your face as he touched you, but you barely felt their wetness.
”five—“ and it was a question and confession all in one. his mouth lingered over your cheek, soft yet urgent, and you melted into his touch with an exhaust-filled sigh.
”’m never gonna leave again,” he swore against your jaw. “we’re gonna figure this out.”
”okay,“ you said. “okay.”
and it was.

~U m b r e l l a       A c a d e m y~ FivexReader: “Stakeout” (Part 1)
Tumblr media
IMAGINE: After discovering the apocalypse and getting transported back into the present, Five and (y/n) make it their mission to stop the doomsday clock and save not only their family, but the entirety of the world as they know it.
No ever thought anything like this would ever happen. Everyone assumed the other was content with the lives they were forced to live. Well, everyone except Five. He was very secretive or quiet with his hate for this lifestyle. It started off as a regular day in the Hargreeves residence.
Mother had just finished making breakfast as she rang the bell and all 8 of us raced down the stairs to see who could try and get to their assigned seat first. Of course we couldn’t sit down yet- we had to wait until our father sat down. He would then nod his head, giving us the green light.
Things were going as good as anything can get there. Breakfast was good. The usually smell of eggs and bacon was almost comforting. Until Five decided enough was enough. He slammed his knife into the table, causing the bottom of it to stick straight up.
All of our eyes went wide. Well, everyone’s except mine. I just slouched back in my chair and rolled my eyes. Even 15 year old me was fed up with Five’s shenanigans.
Me and Five were very close. Closer with each other than we were with anyone else in the family. Me, being Number 8, always got picked on for being the last number. But Five would always tell me I had the coolest powers to cheer me up. I had telekinetic powers.
There was this “unspoken thing” between me and Five as Klaus would call it- We were also pretty close with him.
Me and Five liked each other, as more than friends of course. But it was forbidden. It was our fathers rule to “keep it professional” even though we were only kids. That’s one reason why Allison and Luther’s relationship never went anywhere.
The other reason being they were both too shy to admit their feelings. Whereas Five, a person with no filter whatsoever, used to tell me all the time. He told me everything and anything. Five used to slip notes under my door, telling me to meet him after hours.
When everyone was asleep I would open his door to find him waiting for me on his bed, wearing a plain white t-shirt and gray sweatpants, just like the rest of us (Father picked those outfits out as well).
We would lay on our backs side by side on his decent sized mattress and talk about anything that came to mind. Sometimes he would say to me, “I wish we could be together,” as if telling someone you liked them was as simple as telling someone about their day.
But that’s what I liked about him. He was open. Honest. Because we told each other everything, he would always rant to me about how father won’t let him time travel.
So I knew the moment he stood in front of the upright knife with his fist clenched, he was angry about just that.
“Number Five?”
“I have a question.”
Father continued to eat his breakfast as if this were a normal, everyday thing. But it wasn’t. “Knowledge is an admirable goal, but you know the rules. No talking during mealtimes. You are interrupting Herr Carlson.” Five rolled his eyes and responded sternly, “I want to time travel.”
“No.”
“But I’m ready! I’ve been practicing my spatial jumps, just like you said!” Five then proceeded to teleport from his seat, over to the right side of fathers chair. “See?”
Father sighed and took the fork of eggs away from his mouth as he began to lecture Five. “A spatial jump is trivial when compared with the unknowns of time travel. One is like sliding along the ice, the other is akin to descending blindly into the depths of the freezing water and reappearing as an acorn.”
“Well I don’t get it.”
“Hence the reason you're not ready.” Father stated as he took a sip of his grape wine.
Five looked over to me, his angered look immediately going soft. I shook my head, trying to tell him not to go any further. He looked like he was actually considering it, but the moment he looked away, all considerations faded.
“I’m not afraid.”
“Fear isn’t the issue. The effects it might have on your body, even on your mind, are far too unpredictable.” Father then threw his utensils onto his plate making them clatter loudly and he faced Five and yelled, “Now I forbid you to talk about this anymore!”
Five gave me one last look, almost like he was apologizing for something, and then ran off, causing all heads to turn.
“Number Five! You haven’t been excused!”
Of course Five didn’t listen. Why would he listen to our so-called father who didn’t even bother to give us real names, only numbers? But maybe he’ll listen to me. Without thinking, or waiting for consent, I got up from my seat and ran after him.
“Number 8!”
After yelling his name over and over again, Five finally turned around, his cheeks red with anger. “Five, where are you going?”
“Away.”
“What do you mean ‘away’? You're just gonna leave everything?” Five didn’t answer.
“You-“ I began to try and speak again but my voice was breaking. I can’t let him see me like this. I cleared my throat and tried again. “You’re just going to leave me?”
Five’s eyes moved from his untied shoelace to my eyes. His gaze softened again and he slowly reached out for my hand.
“I’m sorry. You didn’t deserve this.”
And then it happened. It’s kind of all a blur really. All I remember is him letting go of my hand and the blue light surrounding him.
I desperately reached out to grab his hand but all I could touch was the sleeve of his uniform. And before I knew it, I had time traveled into the future with him. Every building was crumbled and in ruins.
There were occasional fires here and there. After finding all of our family dead, the only evidence we found was an eye that Luther's dead corpse was holding in his hand. We spent 30 years together in that shithole.
At first it was hell. He was mad at me for being there because it “wasn’t safe” and “I should be at home”. I was just trying to stop him from making decisions that he insisted WEREN’T stupid. Look where that got us.
Eventually we met Dolores. She’s the only friend me and Five ever had. Especially when you grow up as a “baby superhero” as Diego would call us. We never went to school, birthday parties, play dates.
We lived a life that was far from normal, so we were very thankful for Dolores. Eventually me and Five made up, started dating even.
43 years later, Five then made an equation to help us time travel back home and even after Dolores told him a million times that his equation was inaccurate he still used it anyway, causing me and him to go back to recent times.... but in our 15 year old bodies.
After reuniting with our family and almost getting murdered by some of Five’s old co-workers, we are now trying to figure out who the eye belongs to so we can try to stop the apocalypse from destroying our world and everyone in it.
—————————————————————
“I knew this was a waste of time. I mean what did I expect her to do? Help us?” (y/n) and Five walked away from Vanya’s apartment complex.
They had tried telling her about the apocalypse and where the couple had been for the past 16 years, thinking she was the only one they could trust, but it was too much information for her to handle. She didn’t even know how to respond to them.
“Well, Five, how did you expect her to respond? Did you think she was going to understand everything immediately? We’ve been gone for the past, what, 16 years? For them at least. For us it was 43.”
“I understand that, but you’d think she would have something to say or questions at least!” (y/n) nodded in agreement. “Let’s just go to the laboratory and find out who this eye belongs to.”
Five nodded as well and grabbed her hand. He then teleported them to the front steps of the laboratory. (y/n) let go of his hand and began to walk up the steps, but he pulled her back and wrapped his hand around hers as he tried to keep his eyes forward and act normal.
Even though every touch, although some small, makes his heart beat 10 times faster and the heat to rise to his cheeks. (y/n) just giggled and kissed his cheek, that soon began to turn a slight shade of pink.
They walked through the doors, hand in hand, with hopeful smiles on their faces.
—————————————————————
“What. An. Idiot.” Five said angrily as he stomped down the steps. (y/n) and Five had attempted to ask the guy for the name of the owner of the eye, but he insisted that he could not give out that information. And when the man looked me up and down, Five got a little violent and they called security.
“Well maybe if you hadn't threatened to ram the guy's head into the wall, we probably would’ve actually gotten somewhere.” (y/n) stayed as she sat on the steps and watched as Five paced back and forth, attempting to think of another plan.
“Wha- i- He was looking at you in a way that no older man should be looking at a 15 year old!” Five shouted pointing toward the doors to the lab. He then sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose instead. “Alright. Fine.
Let’s just... go with plan B.”
“Which is....?”
—————————————————————
“You want me to do what?”
“Klaus, please! This is important!” (y/n) said, folding her hands like she’s begging.
“So you want me... to go to this laboratory.... and pretend to be your dad so you can, what, find the name of the person who owns an eyeball that you found in the future?”
Five and (y/n) shared a look and shrugged. “Yes...?” After a moment of silence Klaus finally spoke up. “I’m too sober for this. I am NOT going to do this.”
—————————————————————
“I can’t believe I’m doing this.” Klaus said frustratedly as he, Five, and (y/n) walked down the familiar hallways of the laboratory. “You’ll do anything that involves you getting paid, won’t you?” Five snapped. “Hey 20 bucks is a great deal don’t you think?” Klaus turned to (y/n) and she shrugged then nodded her head.
They eventually made it to Mr. Big’s office, which was the same guy Five threatened. “I’m sorry but without the client’s consent, I simply can’t help you.” Five stood up and angrily responded, “Well we can’t get consent if you don’t give us a name.”
“Well that’s not my problem. Sorry now there’s really nothing I can do, so-“ Before the guy could finish, Klaus interrupted. “And what about my consent?”
“Excuse me?” My. Big’s replied confused. “Who gave you permission... to lay your hands... on my children?” He began to fake cry as me and Five looked at each other, and then at Klaus with a confused look. “Wha- I’m sorry?”
“You heard me.”
“I didn’t touch your children!”
“Oh really? Then how did my son get that swollen lip then?” Klaus stands up and faces Five. “He doesn’t have a swollen-“ Klaus brings his arm back and punches Five hard in the mouth. (y/n) gasps, but doesn’t move from her seat, trying her best to play along with whatever it was Klaus was doing.
Five touched his hand to his mouth, looking at the blood on it. He looked like he was going to kill Klaus right then and there. “And as for my daughter!” Klaus began to look at me with his arm pulled back, ready to hit, but before it reached her face (y/n) grabbed his fist and yanked it forward so his face was close to hers and she whispered, “Touch me, and I’ll kick your *ss.” Klaus just smiled and backed away.
“What about your daughter?” Klaus looked at me with a smirk and I began to fake cry. “H-He touched me! He tried to rape me!” Five smirked as well as he wrapped an arm around my waist and Klaus laughed with joy.
“You guys are crazy.”
“You have no idea.” (y/n) replied chuckling slightly. Everyone watched as Klaus picked up a snow globe that was sitting on the man's desk and he read it. “‘Peace on earth.’ That's so sweet.” He then smashed it onto his head causing it to shatter and his head to bleed. I jumped slightly at the noise and Five’s grip on my waist tightened as if to reassure me it’s ok.
“God that hurt.” Klaus groaned. When the guy reached for the phone on his desk and typed in a number, most likely security again, Klaus took it out of his hands and held it up to his ear. “There’s been an assault...” he “cried”, “in Mr. Bigs office and we need security, now. Schnell!” He yelled then threw the phone down and shook his head to try and make the blurry vision go away.
“Now here’s what’s gonna happen Grant.”
“I-It’s Lance... actually.”
“In about 60 seconds, two security guards are gonna burst through that door, and they’re gonna see a whole lot of blood and a distraught little girl, and they’re gonna wonder ‘What the hell happened?’” Five looked me up and down, smirked, then looked over to the man. “And we’re gonna tell them that you... beat the shit out of us and RAPED our little girl!” Klaus continued to fake cry but it turned into a laugh when he saw the man's terrified expression.
“You're gonna do great in prison, Grant. Trust me, I’ve been there.” Lance just gave him a weird look but Klaus continued. “Little piece of chicken like you. Oh my god you're gonna get passed around like a......” he tried to think of something to say but couldn’t do he just brushed it off.
“You’re just- you're gonna do great. That’s all I’m saying.”
“Jesus, you’re a real sick bastard.” Lance replies.
Klaus’ face went stone cold as he responded, “Thank you.” And spit a piece of glass from his mouth. (y/n) walks over to his desk and leans down close to his face, to where her slightly unbuttoned uniform shows her cleavage. She reaches her hand past him, resting her arm on his shoulder, as she tries to reach the small drawer behind him to get a lollipop.
She can hear his unsteady breathing which makes her want to throw up, because he’s actually somewhat liking this 15 year old girl seducing him, but also smirk because her plan is working.
Her fingers finally wrap around a lollipop and she whispers with a smile, “It’s a pleasure doing business with you.” She pulls back, unwraps the lollipop and puts it in her mouth. She then throws the wrapper onto Lance and walks out of the room with a sway of her hips. Five stared at her in awe and Klaus winked at the guy.
Finally, Lance took them to where all of the files are. Five stood in front of the desk, Klaus sat on the other side, facing Lance and all the files, and (y/n) propped her elbows up on the end of the desk, her chin resting on one of her fists as she watched the man as he searched through the drawer.
“That’s strange.”
“What?” Five demands.
“Well, the eye hasn’t been purchased yet.”
“That is strange.” Klaus says standing up and circling Lance to make him nervous.
“This can't be right. It hasn’t even been manufactured yet. Where did you get that eye?” He asks looking up from his files and at Five.
He just shakes his head.
—————————————————————
“Well this is not good.” (y/n) says as the three of them walk back down the steps of the lab. “I was pretty good, though, right? ‘Oh ya? What about my consent bitch?’” Klaus laughed, trying to re-enact the scene from earlier.
“Klaus, it doesn’t matter.”
He just rolls his eyes and responds, “What’s the deal with this eye anyway? Why is it so important to you?”
“Someone out there is going to lose an eye in the next seven days.” (y/n) responds as Five finishes.
“Exactly. They’re gonna bring about the end of life on this earth as we know it.”
Klaus was listening, but didn't really understand what it meant. He didn’t try to understand because he doesn’t really care. He just wants his money.
“Yeah whatever. Hey, can I just get my 20 bucks, like, now?”
“Your 20 bucks?” (y/n) asked as Five rolls his eyes.
“Yeah my 20 bucks.”
“Unbelievable. I give up.” She throws up her arms and walks back to the steps and sits down. She rests her elbows on her knees and her chin rests on one hand while the other hand holds her unfinished lollipop.
“The apocalypse is coming, and all you can think about is getting high?” Five snaps. “Well I’m also quite hungry.” Klaus rubs his stomach then makes a growling noise. “You're useless.” Five shakes his head and walks over to (y/n), sitting next to her and stretching his legs out in front of him.
“Oh come on. You need to lighten up, old man.” Five signs and grabs (y/n)’s free hand, placing their intertwined hands in his lap and gently rubbing her hand with his other. “Hey you know, I’ve just realized why you're so uptight. You must be horny as hell!” Klaus laughs as if he’s just discovered a new scientific discovery.
(y/n) and Five just look at him and then continue on with what they’re doing. “All those years by yourself. It’s gotta screw with your head being alone.”
“I wasn’t alone. I had (y/n).” (y/n) smiles a little and stares down at their hands. “Perfect! Well why don’t y’all get together and... we’ll ya know!”
“You know what? Your right Klaus.”
“I-I am?”
“He is?” (y/n) asks, standing up with Klaus. “Of course he’s right. He’s always right. Well, we best be on our way then!” Five grabs (y/n)’s hand and pulls her towards the road, leaving Klaus there with a surprised look on his face. “Hope you don’t mind if we use your bed! Thanks!”
“Wait... what?!” But before Klaus could say anything else Five teleports himself and (y/n) into a taxi. “Wait no! Not my bed! Also I need my 20 bucks!” Klaus yells, running after the car. (y/n) just rolls up the window and waves as Five pulled her into his lap and kisses her jaw, then her neck, then her collar bone, and goes back up.
“Was it true what you said?” (y/n) asked, smirking. “Not entirely.”
“Oh? How so?”
“Well, for starters, I wouldn’t say that I’m not horny but....”
“Mhm. And...?”
“And that is NOT the reason why I’m ‘uptight’.” Five says pouting a little. (y/n) just laughed and they continued to kiss. When they were completely out of sight, Klaus ran his hands through his hair.
“Shit.”

Hiiii! Sorry but can you write a FiveXreader? The reader manages to survive the apocalypse and knows Five there, could you make a novel of them too? Sorry, you must have a lot of requests so if you want you can save this one for later, you must be pretty tired, rest!
Sure I can, you mean like a series? I sure can do that. ❤ I do have quite a lot of requests haha but I am not doing them in order, I do them in which one I have inspiration for at the moment. Thank you for caring about my state. I felt today that I couldn't find the grand inspiration I wanted for a Five x reader one, So I changed it, finding something smaller to do, flourishing with inspiration for the Vanya one.
I sure will rest a lot! I think I won't have time to upload anything tomorrow, so rest day I guess haha. ❤ I feel special that you care about me. Hope you have a great day! 💖❤

It was my first day of work. Time to put my training to work. I am currently working my evening shift at Griddy's Doughnuts. It wasn't too busy and I liked it like that. The bell rung alerting me of a new customer and a smile made it's way onto my face automatically. In came a kid around my age (16) and he took a seat at the counter.
"Hello, may I take your order?" I asked politely at the handsome young man sitting in front of me.
"Coffee, black," He stated and I felt my smile falter for a second. What a rude guy. I turned around and started to prepare the coffee, humming softly to the tune that sounded throughout the small dinner. I poured the brown liquid into the white ceramic cup and placed it in front of the black haired boy.
"Would that be all?" I asked.
"No thank you..." He trailed off his eyes lowering onto my chest. I felt uncomfortable until he finished his sentence. "(Y/n)." Oh he was just looking at my name tag. Of course why would I think anything different. I felt my face heat up at my thoughts and turned back around to clean some dishes. "I haven't seen you work here before."
"This is my first day," I replied glancing back at him and saw that he was staring at the back of my head. He hummed in response telling me that he was listening.
"My, this is the best coffee I had in ages," He complimented with a small smile.
"Thank you," I smiled. At least he was being more polite. I set his bill on the counter top and went to take care of another customer. When I came back he was gone. I felt a little sad since I was just starting to enjoy his company.
Yet my next shift he was there again. This time it was later at night so he was the only one here besides me. He once again got a black coffee. It was quiet for the most part, I went back to reading my book (which Miss Agnus let me when the day went by slow or if no one was in). I felt the stare of someone on me and I glanced up to see the kid's blue eyes focused on me. I tilted my head to the side and felt my cheeks once again heat up.
"Five," He said with a smirk.
"Five what?" I asked out confused.
He sighed the smirk leaving his face, "My name, it's Five." My eyes widened and I felt stupid even though the misunderstanding wasn't entirely my fault.
I nodded, "Unique." He rolled his eyes and I felt bad, but can you blame me I have no clue how to talk to people!
"Miss Peregrine's School for Peculiar Children?" He asked reading the title of my book.
"Oh yeah!" I exclaimed with a smile. "I'm rereading it, it's one of my favorite series."
"I'll have to check it out sometime," Five concluded. "What is it about?"
"It's...a lot and I'm not really good at explaining things," I explained sheepishly. "I do recommend it because it's a fun read." He nodded in understanding. I handed him his bill and a pen and he started to write something on it. I didn't pay attention and went back to reading. I glanced up from my book once again only to see the bill he wrote on next to me. I looked at it and it read;
Call me xxx-xxx-xxxx
I was surprised and held onto the piece of paper. I decided I would call him the next day and I was completely nervous. What if he gave me a fake number? Wait why would he even do that? I let out a sigh and quickly pressed the call button like I was ripping off a band aid. I held my phone to my ear listening to the rings which were quickly silenced by Five.
"Hello?" He asked.
"O-oh hey its uh, (y/n)," I rambled nervously. I fiddled with my shirt sleeves staring at my ceiling.
"Oh hey," Five said almost dismissively. "Are you free today?"
"Yeah," I replied, glad it was a Saturday.
"Text me your address and I'll pick you up around noon," He stated.
"Okay, see you then," With that we hung up.
I got off my bed and ransacked through my closet looking for some nice clothes to wear. I then went to take a shower and dried my hair off with a blow dryer. As I was finishing up my mom told me someone was here for me. I made my way down to the living room and there sat Five. He looked at me and gently smiled which was odd but it made my heart flutter anyways.
"Ready to go?" He asked standing up. I nodded and my mom gave me some money before we left.
"So where are we going?" I asked tilting my head.
"Oh you'll see," He smirked. We walked down different streets and our hands would brush or our shoulders would bump which made me slightly flustered. We ended up at the zoo which was a nice surprise. Five payed which I was against, and we looked at all the different animals. Sometimes he would give me some random facts. It was fun and over time we held hands. It was nice and I loved all of it. It was obvious that this was no friendly outing but I surprisingly not scared, nervous or anxious. He ended up walking me home and we were standing outside on the steps to my home.
"I had a good time," I said with a bright smile feeling better than I ever have.
"I did too," He agreed. "I hope to do this again soon."
"That would be fun!" I grinned feeling like I was soaring over the moon.
"How about next week," Five offered.
"That sounds good."
"Have a good night (y/n)," Five said giving me a kiss on the cheek before leaving. My mouth hung open and I felt like my breath was taken away and it didn't help that I knew that cheeky bastard was smirking.
But I didn't mind since we just went on a perfect date.
