I’m rereading the manga fast. ( the OG manga ) I used to hate Nalu. But after this reread. I realized their development. It is not in romantic terms. But in trust and acceptance. Which would be beautiful if lead to romance.

Natsu used to not care about if lucy got hurt or even dead but as things progress. He went from saying hurting my friend, to if you dare put scratch on lucy. When she’s around him he protect her first. And eventually he snaps when he thought she died.

He used to not believe in her strength, telling her to run. But later he began to support her whenever she lose or think bad about herself. Thanking her whenever she does help even slightly.

Lucy used to hit him and kick him off her house but later after that one year she let him in like it was normal. And actually missed his presence. Even if she got back to kick him again it is normal since they aren’t really in relationship.

As for lucy side. To her. natsu changed her. Completely from lost, weak girl. To someone who have place she called home and push her to strength herself. There was a lot of moments where lucy doubts her strength and self but natsu was always there for her. It come out naturally from him even without intention. He doesn’t realize how much this affects her.

As well i love the subtle moments, for example he counted a year since she joined the guild, he notice when she’s off. And he try to help her as much as he can when he feels she’s off. But it sad that they removed those moments as if they didn’t happen. Then he left and didn’t talk about it properly when he comeback. Those moments were undeveloped and forgotten. But their trust and acceptance stayed. They improve and support each other. To me that’s the beauty of their relationship. I don’t care if they are canon lovers or just friends. Nalu is Nalu.

I think that’s why eventually hiro stuck with not making them obviously in love. They are different. They don’t need to change. They don’t need love. They have more than that.

Getting back into the shounen anime of my youth has been the best thing for my mental health. Like yes the world is shit rn but at least I have my imaginary friends and family.

Other then being talented with coffee and herbal tea, I'm learning how to create home remedies like homemade cold medicine that have ginger, lemon, honey, bit of sugar, and some lavender to make it to cough drops so I can boil hot water to make instant tea or I can chew it like regular candy

( candy making looked easy but it share and alot of practice)

I'm also recreating other remedies from old people back in their days and old text book to modernize it

It's really neat, as I see Exsotica do this and share it with the people of the red light district to help with common cold ( as ppl die alot from those back then ) and anything that are flu related

But not everyone is pleased with this:

“Yes.”

“I assume that this is another one of your…items from your world.”

“Yes.”

You kept your head in a bowed position, staring at your hands that sat faced down on your lap. Feeling the intensity of the Demon King’s stare you resisted the urge to gulp, focusing on regulating your beating heart. Standing with his back to the window, he kept your kneeled form in his shadow.

“Why have you created this, (Y/n)?”

It sounded as though he was scolding you.

“To curb the amassing cases of the flu and severe coughing–”

That was all you wanted to say. The truth alone but that didn’t seem to satisfy him. You could feel the malice teaming off him at your answer. Not necessarily at you but the ones you had done this for.

“-and to have a steady form of revenue to support myself outside the Yukkaku district.”

The atmosphere seemed to lighten at that, trading his seething hatred for shallow curiosity.

“Oh? Do you find yourself leaving here?”

He mocked you.

“I–was under the impression that this was only a temporary station for me. Forgive me if I assumed.”

He didn’t chuckle but the ghost of an amused smile spread on Muzan Kibitsuji’s face. Crouching down to your folded height he easily grabbed hold of your chin tilting you to meet your eyes with his. Magenta hues glowing hungrily in the darkness of your room, you unconsciously held your breath.

“You truly are above.”

He let his thumb graze over the plush of your cheek before pulling away once more to stand at full height. Subconsciously leaning forward you opened your mouth to question him only for him to speak first.

“You may continue with your projects. Know that any resistance will result in their immediate destruction. The project themselves…and any and all human participants. Is that clear?”

“...Yes..bu-”

Before you could finish speaking you found that the demon you were speaking to, or rather spoken to had left, leaving you in the silence of the moonlit room. You silently pushed your hands at the tatami mats, mocking the hard punches you wish you could deliver. With another intake of air you raised up from your position to close the window. Tomorrow will be busy.

I wrote about an established relationship where character A wanted to give character B a gift. A asks B’s bff what to give him. Bff tells A to give B a rock. A proceeds to spend the day meticulously picking out a rock to give to B. A later presents this perfectly picked out rock to B, and B loves this little gift. This story oddly resonated with a lot of people in my old fandom lol. Moral of the story? People love rocks. Give your friends rocks. They will love you.

F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom?

About a decade? I started watching Pokémon for as long as I can remember (still love it!), but I fell out of the fandom when my parents stopped paying for cable.

G - Have you ever had an OTP? If so, do you remember your first one? Who was in it?

Zutara. Zuko and Katara were everything to me. Fire and water? Their antagonistic relationship? There was so much tension there. It just made sense to me.

H - What is your favorite source text for fandom stuff (e.g., TV shows, movies, books, anime, Western animation, etc.)?

The first half of my life was dedicated to TV shows (when I had cable). The rest of my life is dedicated to printed material (books, manga, comics, etc).

I - Has Tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?

No. I only joined this platform about two months ago. I haven’t come across any negativity on this side of tumblr.

I want to get severe secondhand embarrassment from something that Nicholas does in front of Seiji. I want to fluster that boy so bad. I want him to feel so embarrassed he could melt into a puddle of liquified Cox. And after all of the chaos I want Seiji to find that Nicholas actually looks rather cute when he’s blushing and flustered :) I’m evil.

Kiss Me - Sixpence None the Richer is how I envision Robert Coste and Nicholas’ mother’s relationship to be like in one of my unfinished pieces. An au where Nicholas doesn’t know who his father is and has a loving relationship with his mom.

P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).

Needing to make dinner but the jar of sauce won’t open so character A visits their neighbor character B and asks for help in opening the jar.

Character A is staring at character B while walking down the sidewalk and accidentally walks into a light pole. A scurries away in embarrassment while B finds that kinda cute.

Accidentally blurting out a romantic confession whilst in the middle of an argument.

Q - A fandom you’ve abandoned and why.

I wouldn’t necessarily say that I’ve abandoned any fandoms, just outgrew them (show finished), left due to circumstances (no more cable or show on hiatus), or lack of inspiration to continue writing. It feels wrong to say “abandoned” because I still love these fandoms and would still go back to consume their content. I’m just not actively involved anymore.

Kuroko no Basuke. Miraculous Ladybug. Fairytail.

R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom?

The Leventis/Levantis twins (in my own personal interpretation of them). I have a sibling so I’ve mostly based their interactions on my own. The kind of relationship where you annoy each other but love each other fiercely.

S - Show us an example of your personal headcanon (prompts optional but encouraged)

I think that Seiji would own a dog.

Also!! Headcanon that Seiji runs warm and Nicholas has wonky blood circulation which leads to wearing tank tops and shorts in the winter but hoodies and sweatpants in the summer.

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?

Seiji is a dog person.

U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.

Reese from Scarlet Hollow - I yearn for starving artists. And he likes horror movies? Score! He’s also a little shy but also very cute. 10/10 would romance again.

Sebastian from Stardew Valley - Quiet loner that enjoys tabletop games similar to D&D? And he rides a motorcycle? Brb swooning at his feet.

I can’t pick a favorite from Fence ;v; I love Nicholas but I also love Scott and Thomas and Sungchul and Nate aaaaaaaaa

V - Which character do you relate to most?

In Fence? Nate Spencer. I was originally going to say Nicholas but after further evaluation I realize that I am in fact Nate. The kind of person that brightens up the room but also tends to gravitate to one person in particular despite getting constantly ignored (Aiden sksks).

W - A trope which you are virtually certain to hate in any fandom.

No happy ending. Hurt no comfort. Break-up fics.

X - A trope which you are almost certain to love in any fandom.

Enemies to lovers. Rivals to lovers. Sickfics. Inexperience (first kiss, first times). Not actually unrequited love. Secondhand embarrassment. Sex pollen/lust potion. Truth serum. Party games (i.e. truth or dare).

Y - What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)?

Call of Duty.

Z - Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go! (Prompts optional but encouraged.)

I’m surprised by the lack of rarepairs in Fence. There’s so much potential with the amount of characters that have been introduced so far, but I guess I can see why. Nichoji are just so throughly entwined with each other it’s almost impossible to envision them with anybody else. Other than that, I would gander that there’s more interest in the main ships than exploring newer characters and even newer relationships. (I aim to change that though, a new rarepair is on the horizon!! Hopefully by Valentine’s day 👀💘)

I’m also rather surprised by how active this fandom is despite the small size of it. It’s nice and cozy here though and I like that.

This fandom is actually making me want to try drawing again. Just speaking out to the void here lol. I was pretty decent at drawing chibis when I was younger. Blushing Nicholas here I come… ✍️♥️✨

Why couldn't Peter and Sue go back to narnia?

(Depending on the answer i might ruin our childhoods)

At the end of Prince Caspian, Peter announces that he and Susan won't be returning to Narnia because Aslan told them they are 'too old' and wouldn't be returning.

However we also see (in the film) Older Telmeranians going into the 'normal' world through the portal the Pevensie children walk through, so age doesn't actually appear to be a factor. We know there isn't a age limit because Peter and Susan aren't twins, and are, in the books 13 and 12 respectively at the time they are "too old", similarily when Dawn Treader happens Edmund and Lucy are "too old" at 12 and 10 respectively, whereas Eustace and Jill's adventures stop at age 16.

Then, at the end of TLtWatW, they are definitely older than 16, as in THaHB Queen Susan is 26, King Edmund 24, and Queen Lucy 22 in Narnia while they are still living there which is happening when Peter, roughly 27-8, is fighting Giants in the North. So it isn't "Age" as time in years, but in knowledge learned as referenced at the end of the PC movie.

Peter and Susan learned all that they needed to learn from Narnia and Aslan. This is supported in text by Caspian's uncle saying fairytails are for babies and Caspian should be thinking about battle and adventure instead. Susan and Peter are becoming more 'adult' in thinking, looking for the rational and the logical rather than the mystical and magical.

Another factor to this is when Lucy alone sees Aslan across the valley area and Susan is rather condesending in her response of "Where did you Think you saw him?" There's disbelief, they're misunderstanding, and obviously if Susan didn't see it herself, it wasn't there and Lucy was just mistaken, seeing things that aren't actually there.

Edmund, notably in the film, backs his younger sister on if she saw Aslan, he believes her, and says so "When we first discovered Narnia a year ago—or a thousand years ago, whichever it is—it was Lucy who discovered it first and none of us would believe her. I was the worst of the lot, I know. Yet she was right after all. Wouldn’t it be fair to believe her this time?"

There is a disconnect between the siblings' belief which is of course a potential allegory to the whole Jesus = Aslan type scenario but we'll ignore that as that's not really central to the question asked, nor is Narnia an allegory at all according to C.S.L..

Their (mostly Susans, but Peter's too) concerns through Prince Caspian show 'adultish' concerns, clothes not fitting in, believing eyes rather than hearts, thinking for explanations to the magical, they are becoming focused on the 'real world'. [This of course gives me a reminder to Doctor who, the older he becomes (Matt Smith in particular) the more carefree the audience can see him, but the more he's seen the darkness in the world and inside himself].

Now -- an interesting change happens with VotDT, in which neither Susan or Peter are there, but they are referenced. Peter is being tutored by Digory Kirke, the owner of the 'original' wardrobe portal while Susan goes to America. Susan is the 'pretty one' of the family which is further stressed again in TLB when Susan is "no longer a friend of Narnia[... more] interested in nothing now-a-days except nylons and lipstick and invitations", and this was an age she had been pretending to be since she was young and would pretend to be as she gets older.

Susan speaks of Narnia as a place of make-believe that she and her siblings conjured during playtime as children. Susan's story remains unfinished as the story that would bring her to Aslan's country would be 'too grown up' than the rest of the books in the series and C.S.Lewis decided not to do so. He does, however, note to Pauline Bannister in 1960 that there is a chance for her to reach her siblings in Aslan's country but that journey would be long and "as a woman of twenty-one who has just lost her entire family in a terrible crash, she will have much to work through; in the process, she might change to become truly the gentle person she has the potential for being" as is written in the footnotes in Companion to Narnia.

Peter, on the other hand, as we know ruled Narnia for 15 years in the Tetrarchy with his siblings until at age 27-8 returned to age 13 abruptly, and after Caspian, he didn't return until TLB when he was 22 for a final time. A good 8 or so years since his last trip.

In TLB Peter plays a small role, mostly in retrieving magic rings for Eustace and Jill to return to Narnia, which is one of the last scenes with him before the train crash. Now, afterwards, it is noted that the siblings are reunited in Aslan's country, meaning, theoretically, Peter did return after the events of Prince Caspian, however we also learn that this is the 'true' Narnia and the one from the Wardrobe that they knew before was "only a shadow or copy" of what Narnia is.

In your ask you mention “Depending on the answer I might ruin our childhoods” in which I am assuming relates to, then, child soldiers.

Really, these literal children are given weapons and expected to fight a battle with no training or fighting experience at all, and as Film!Susan says, "Mum sent us away so we wouldn't get caught up in a war". And yet, here they are, fighting a war.

But unlike being given a weapon of mass destruction that can cause chaos with a few words, they also recieve gifts that will help, like the Horn that calls for aid, and the magical healing cordial, and okay yeah Rhindon and a shield and a bow and a dagger... not the best gifts for preteens but fair enough, considering at the time, this was actually happening.

Children frequently fought in both the allied and axis forces, and there was even the entire establishment of 'Hitlerjugend' which trained youths and indoctrinated them which, at the onset of WW2, the Hitlerjugend had roughly 8.8 million members, although the number decreases to just over 1 million as the war begins as people get conscripted into the national army thus these kids were being taught by 16-17 year olds while they were maybe 8-15?

The Axis also had the SS Youth division, with children 16-17. Not as bad as Lucy being 8, but then, the Soviet union had the Red Army, the UK had 'Dad's Army' (the last line of defence as a home guard) and the US had the wonderful Calvin Graham (pls look him up his life is bloody insane) who enlisted at 12 years old "successfully" lying about his age and being definitely 18, you know.

So during this time, child soldiers weren't 'new' but they certaintly attempted for 16+.

Of course, for Narnia films, the characters are aged up a bit, Peter is roughly 14-15 in the first movie I think, or depicted as such, and the others follow suit.

It’s also not the only time we see Child Soldiers in fantasy; Harry Potter, Ender’s Game, Percy Jackson+, Warrior Cats, Animorphs, Septimus Heap, Game of Thrones, and that's just the books I can see on my shelf. And theoretically The Avengers references it with Natasha’s backstory of taking young girls and making them soldiers.

However, in that realm, “Peter and Susan are too old” would potentially mean they are too old to be child soldiers that Narnia requires which is an interesting take. Certainly not the one I hold, but an interesting thought bubble.
