So, last night I rewatched the Voyage of the Dawn Treader movie with a friend. And yes, it was vastly different to the book; and yeah, there were a good few cheesy lines and ideas. But oh my word! The golden lighting and warm colors and tones were just amazing!!!!!!

Note: Okay so I’ve had this planned and in the works since October 2020! For most of you, you’ve known about this since December, when I posted the original masterlist on my old writing account. I’m so happy to announce that this post is being uploaded because I’m almost done writing the series! I only have to write Voyage of The Dawn Treader! I’m so happy to share this with all of you, especially because there’s not much Prince Caspian content on here! I hope you all enjoy the fic as much as I have and happy reading!

The question is, said Edmund, whether it doesn’t make things worse, looking at a Narnian ship when you can’t get there.Even looking is better than nothing, said Lucy. And she is such a very Narnian ship.Still playing your old game? said Eustace Clarence, who had been listening outside the door and now came grinning into the room. Last year, when he had been staying with the Pevensies, he had managed to hear them all talking of Narnia and he loved teasing them about it. He thought of course that they were making it all up; and as he was far too stupid to make anything up himself, he did not approve of that. You’re not wanted here, said Edmund curtly.I’m trying to think of a limerick, said Eustace. Something like this:Some kids who played games about NarniaGot gradually balmier and balmier--Well Narnia and balmier don’t rhyme, to begin with, said Lucy. It’s an assonance, said Eustace.Don’t ask him what an assy-thingummy is, said Edmund. He’s only longing to be asked. Say nothing and perhaps he’ll go away. Most boys, on meeting a reception like this, would either have cleared out or flared up. Eustace did neither. He just hung about grinning, and presently began talking again.Do you like that picture? he asked. For heaven’s sake don’t let him get started about Art and all that, said Edmund hurriedly, but Lucy, who was very truthful, had already said, Yes, I do. I like it very much. It’s a rotten picture, said Eustace. You won’t see it if you step outside, said Edmund. ― C.S. Lewis, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
“Lucy leaned her head along the edge of the fighting-top and whispered, ‘Aslan, Aslan, if you ever loved us at all, send us help now.’ The darkness did not grow any less, but she began to feel a little–a very, very little–better. ‘After all, nothing has really happened to us yet,’ she thought.
‘Look!’ cried Rynelf’s voice hoarsely from the bows. There was a tiny speck of light ahead, and while they watched a broad beam of light fell from it upon the ship. It did not alter the surrounding darkness, but the whole ship was lit up as if by searchlight […]
Lucy looked along the beam and presently saw something in it. At first it looked like a cross, then it looked like an aeroplane, then it looked like a kite, and at last with a whirring of wings it was right overhead and it was an albatross […] It called out in a strong sweet voice what seemed to be words though no one understood them. After that it spread its wings, rose, and began to fly slowly ahead, bearing a little to starboard. Drinian steered after it not doubting that it offered good guidance. But no one except Lucy knew that as it circle the mast it had whispered to her, ‘Courage, dear heart,’ and the voice, she felt sure, was Aslan’s, and with the voice a delicious smell breathed in her face.”
Little mini haul! I’m always hesitant to do this kind of video cause I don’t wanna be like “look what I got!!!” And make people feel bad for not having them... however, I know a lot of people like this kind of stuff... so let me know what you think
