the marauders eras girls are so important to me. I love the boys but honestly they don’t even hold a candle to the girls for me. there’s something so beautiful about our fandom coming together collectively to put a spotlight on female characters that were hardly acknowledged in the actual text. getting to add depth to these characters and making them even more special is everything to me.

Figure You Out by VIOLÀ but it’s Barty, singer, singing at a show where he sees Reg after writing the song about Reg and James.

Like Reg and Barty locking gazes and you can see that Reg knows it’s about him and Barty winks before turning to the crowd to continue.

And James not understanding because not a single soul knows about the short relationship Barty and Reg had.

And Evan (who’s in the duo with Barty) is trying to explain to James what happened with just a look. But James doesn’t understand because he can’t read minds.

Then a few shows later Edgar shows up (still on that) and Evan is playing directly towards HIM

And it’s a mess of Evan trying to seduce Edgar and Barty trying to seduce Reg.

Bonus if Edgar is dating Benjy Fenwick (but boom they break up and Benjy goes with Peter)

And James dating Reg but they break up so James goes with Lily

And Xeno and Benjy are Edgar’s best friends so therefore Pandora’s so (including Evan) it’s a big group (but Amelia Bones and Emma Vanity and Alice Fortescue are the og friends instead of Evan and Pandora)

this isn’t gonna be at all canon compliant so if you don’t like that don’t interact

these are what i’ve compiled for my personal interpretation over my time in the fandom, including random headcanons of my own that i think fit

James: full desi. half-indian (monty’s side) half-pakistani (effie’s side)

Remus: 1/4 nigerian (hope’s side), 1/2 welsh (hope and lyall’s side), 1/4 jewish (lyall’s side)

Peter: 1/2 mexican, 1/4 filipino, 1/4 german (i’m a believer of peter having two mums because IT FITS 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ unnamed mum #1 is mexican and unnamed mum #2 is half filipino and half german) (they magic-ed a baby and are his bio parents)

Sirius: 1/2 korean, 1/2 french (almost all his family, including his parents, cousins, brother, aunts, and uncles are half korean and half french because incest yay they all have the same ancestry)

Lily: 1/2 navajo (her mums side), 1/4 african (dads side), 1/4 jewish (dads side) (idc that she’s ginger and has green eyes tbh she naturally has dark brown hair)

Marlene: filipino

Mary: egyptian

Dorcas: jamaican

Pandora: brazilian (afro-brazilian)

Regulus: 1/2 korean, 1/2 french

Sleeping With The Enemy, Winners and Losers: Act I Retrospective

How can one destroy a legend?

Hi everybody, and welcome to the final winners and losers of Act 1. Unsure if I'll keep doing these for Act 2, but if you guys want them to, let me know! Anyways, Act 1 was extremely hectic, and I wanted to declare the final winners and losers of this shitshow. As the last chapter suggests, the dice has been officially cast (that sounded SO douchey mb). Anyways, spoilers below the cut.

Winners: Rosier + Vanity

So, these two money-hungry Slytherins are considered winners because their position is never threatened, and they both get massive raises. Additionally, Rosier gets some in Eurus, and Vanity proves her worth to Regulus.

Winner, mostly because she's not that relevant: Marlene McKinnon

Even though Sirius' favorite person is definitely a negative at times (as she will experience in Act II), she has access to millions of dollars, has two beautiful kids, and seems to have a burgeoning social life outside of her husband. Go Marlene!

Loser: Emmeline Vance

Do I really have to explain?

Loser: Orion Black

He's technically a winner, as his position of CEO was never challenged, but considering that Regulus, the most viable heir, is out for blood, and that Sirius, his alternate heir, has relapsed, it's not looking good.

Winner: James Potter

He's curated a bond with Regulus, began a successful media company with his close friend, and realized important things for himself. All-in-all a good act for James, but IMO, he really, really needs to stop White Knight Syndrome-ing Regulus.

Loser: Remus Lupin

While technically a winner because of MMG's success, the fact that the person he did it all for, Sirius, has broken up with him, it's all for nothing. HOWEVER, considering the on-again, off-again nature of their relationship...

Winner: Lucius Malfoy

He bagged a total 10 and is chairman to MMG. Sure, he's married into one of the most terrifying families on earth, but knowing him, he can beautiful-hair and awkward-bumble his way out of literally anything. He MIGHT be my favorite.

Winner: Narcissa Black

Congrats to the newly-engaged Narcissa for winning what was a CUTTHROAT act. While most of these "winners" are winners in the fact that they've survived, Narcissa is a winner in the fact that she's actively thriving. Also, HELLO, I am so excited for power couple Ice Queen and Himbo! Especially since we know from canon that their son is cold asf.

Loser: Sirius Black

Yeahhhh, not everybody survived and thrived, Sirius being a prime example. All the close relationships he seems to have had in the pilot were all corrupted along the way. And I feel really bad. But they can't all be winners.

Winner, thinks he's a loser: Regulus Black

Not to reiterate previous points here, but as long as Regulus is being deprogrammed from his shitty childhood, he's winning. Ofc, he's been through horrible trauma with the unremembered Slut in the Hut and what happened with Emmeline, but I think that despite this he's on a path of growth, and will continue to grow in Act II as well <3

Benjy's specific love language is writing notes inside his books, and giving the book to Peter only to make him blush at the sweetness of the notes.

Peter's love language is cooking Benjy's favourite dishes every time his bf is sad, while pretending that he didn't do it for him and ignoring his thank you.

Benjy learnt the language of flowers when he discovered Peter’s passion for plants, and the first time they went out he gave him a bouquet that meant: "I'm falling in love with you" (they were talking for a while at the time).

When Peter realized he had a crush for Benjy he went to Emma Vanity, a Hufflepuff who was his best friend outside of the marauders, and cried because he was scared that his love was unrequited.

She told him how stupid he was, and how smitten Benjy looked every time he saw Peter, but the boy couldn't believe her because of years of having a crush on James, and after all that time he was convinced that no one could love him like that.
