also, a note on kingleys name:

in the series kingleys lastname is shacklebolt. i have changed the name because of the racist subtext. not a lot is known about kingleys origins, so i turned to the actor who plays kingsley in the movies, george harris. he was born in grenda, so i googled popular lastnames from there and landed on mcintosh because i think that suits him much better (and it reminds me of the character from mlp which i think makes it even more fitting) and i feel more comfortable using that name. if anybody else wants to start using it for him please do so!

the marauders eras girls are so important to me. I love the boys but honestly they don’t even hold a candle to the girls for me. there’s something so beautiful about our fandom coming together collectively to put a spotlight on female characters that were hardly acknowledged in the actual text. getting to add depth to these characters and making them even more special is everything to me.

Marauders era characters and the conspiracy theory they wholeheartedly believed in:

Sirius- told anybody who cared to listen that airplanes were magical, he refused to believe that Muggles were capable of inventing a giant heavy metal can with wings that carried hundreds of people through the air without the assistance of the wizarding world.

Remus- not sure if it’s a conspiracy theory but he did claim time and time again that Jesus was a homosexual, James and Sirius believed it to be cannonicly accurate and didn’t understand why Lily and Mary always acted so weird whenever it was brought up.

Marlene- she refused to believe that America was real.

Dorcas- was obsessed with Atlantis, believed it to be a real place, claimed to have evidence (it was mainly just a lot of history books quotes taken out of context).

James- he thought aliens built the Pyramids.

Lily- strongly believed the government was secretly experimenting on repressed magical creatures (such as Giants and house elfs), she was livid and people were scared to bring up this subject around her.

Mary- she didn’t believe dragons were real, Alice took her to see them during the summer break between 5th-6th year, Mary stood her ground and claimed them to be a social experiment created by the government. (She believed Unicorns and Thestrals were real, it’s just dragons she was being weird about. No one got it.)

Alice- she believed dragons were an intelligent species that would one day rise up and take over the world. She wasn’t mad about it.

Bertha Jorkins- she had an inexplicable fear of ants, and she was sure they will one day gather together and take control of the planet. She claimed there’s nothing humans can do stop them because ants are invaluable to life on earth.

Emmeline Vance- she was 100% sure everyone’s turning into crabs. She was terrified.

Peter- he believed vaccines contained microchip tracking chips and that muggles are a little dumb for taking them and inevitably giving all their info to the government (he was a pure blood who never got vaccinated in his life and no one understood where he got that idea from.)

Regulus- he fully and unironically believed cats have nine lives. I’m not sure how it played out in his day to day life but I know it was somehow significant.

Sybil Trelawney and Pandora Lovegood- they just kinda believed in all of them?

Snape- was a flatearther

Hey, I know the Regulus adopts Harry trope is all fun and games and I love it but like you can't honestly tell me that he wouldn't (also) cuasi-adopt Draco, Luna and Neville because like

Are you seriously telling me that Regulus wouldn't be the proud uncle of his favourite cousin's son!? He would probably steal Draco at least twice a week!

That he wouldn't have his bestie's daughter at his house as many days as the year have? He would probably take Luna and Harry on vacations. To the beach or the mountains together they go. And when Pandora died he would offer all the help possible to Xenophilius, and he would tell Luna, just as he does Harry, stories of her mum, and she had always been his Soulmate even though they would never have a romantic relationship. Also he would raise hell the first time he heard about Luna being bullied.

Then whe have Neville, who is such a sweet kid, and after hearing that it was his cousin the one that did that to his parents he can't help but feels guilty. So he goes and apologises to Augusta. And somehow, she had just lost her son, and she feels old, and has found herself raising a toddler. So she accepts his apology, because he's young and somehow he reminds him a little to the boy she lost. So she cries, and is Regulus the one that is there that day and many others. And from that moment on, Neville becomes a common fixture to Regulus's house. There aren't going to be any window child dropping this time around.

And Harry couldn't be happier, it was strange at first. Finding himself suddenly in the care of this man child of wizard. But he feels safe. And loved. Oh so loved. So he never felt jealous when kids started appearing, in fact he is just happy about it all in general. Having a parent, having siblings, and cousin and a sister in all but blood. So he feels content.

Also, Regulus having to send three of his children to Howarts at the same time is just an emotional wreck
