Five Stages Of Feelings
Neteyam x Na'vi Reader
Summary: the decision to go looking for you was the best decision he ever made
Warning: enemies to lovers, hurt reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3rd person pov
The village knew of the rivalry between the oldest son of jake sully and the daughter of ninat, they fought for the title of best hunter of their age group but it only ended in punishment.
"This is your fault" yn hissed bumping shoulders with neteyam as she passed him, neteyam growled and grabbed yns wrist pulling her to look at him, his tall figure looming over her.
"Its not my fault you don't know how to shut your mouth" he spat, the two were paired on a hunting trip his father thinking it would be a good 'bonding' experience but the two started bickering scaring off the pray.
"Then you should've giving me a bloody arrow" yn pulled her wrist from him harshly causing her to stumble and fall into the mud the mud splattering over her body, neteyam burst out laughing he bent over clenching his stomach trying to catch his breath.
Yn huffed and got up stumping off into the woods "your going to get us in more trouble" neteyam called after her but when she didn't to back he huffed rolling his eyes and went his own separate way back to the village.
He took a seat at the end of the village watching the trees carefully this is the way you'll be coming back and he just wants to annoy you further but when you didn't arrive at eclipse a feeling started to tug at his heart.
Worry? Guilt? No why would he feel any of those he let out a forced laugh he hates you he wouldn't care if you went missing it would actually be better for him.
He waited for a few minutes and slowly started to pace his eyes still trained towards the forest he slowly became more aggregated with himself "ah fuck it" he cursed loudly and walked into the woods.
His tracking skills helping him very much "your going to be the death of me yn" he grumbled slowly climbing over the roots that was in his path, his ears flickered as he heard it.
A whimper of pain, he crouched low to the ground slowly making his way to the sound his eyes looking around for any predators that might be lurking.
"Yn" he whispered as he caught sight of you laying on the ground his breath caught in his throat as they ran over your body noticing the blood "fuck" he muttered and jumped to your side.
His hands wavered as they hovered over you he didn't know what to do "w-what happened" he choked as he moved his gaze to your eyes his heart clenching as he saw the tears rolling down your face.
"V-viperwolfs" you grunted, neteyam quickly slid his hands under your body trying to pick you up but you cried out in pain "c-cant" you weakly pushed him away as you spoke.
He grabbed your hands holding them tightly "I have to get you back" he said his voice filled with concern but you just shook your head "n-not gonna make it" you cried making him shed a tear of his own as he shook his head.
"I'm not gonna let you die" his voice was dipping as he slowly lifted your hands to his chest "you can't die" he murmured making yn giggle which turned into a coughing fit "starting to sound like you care about me sully" you panted he nodded his head.
"I do surprisingly" he smiled sadly "is it bad I think the same" yn said making neteyam chuckle and shake his head "I think it's perfect" he whispered and leaned down connecting their lips together in a quick kiss before pulling back just leaving a inche between them.
"Neteyam" he hummed in response, yn shifted slightly taking out a fruit that was underneath her, neteyam frowned in confusion intill he saw that the fruits juice had a blood like texture he looked between the fruit and yn making her smile nervously.
"Lo'ak and kiri put me up to it but I'm glad we feel the same way" she giggled slowly sitting up he narrowed his eyes at her growling slightly.
"I'll get you back one way or another"

everything happens for a reason part 11 - zuko x fem!reader
Memories, where'd you go?
part 10 | masterlist | part 12
a/n: alternative name for this fic: y/n gets a crush on every pretty girl she meets. yue, katara, and now suki. she can't help it (and she questions why they're all connected to sokka in some way lmaoo)
anyways, this is kind of filler but it establishes some more with relationships and finallyyy gets us into ba sing se at the end. i know it's a lil annoying because there's a lot of episode-to-text writing, but i promise it'll get more freeform as it goes on
also i know that i just posted something yesterday but i have literally zero patience. like i cant hold chapters i have to post them as soon as i write them loll
wc: 5.3k
warning(s): some feels over zuko as per usual, but overall a pretty tame chapter
chapter title comes from memories by panic! at the disco!
Tumblr media
Zuko could barely sleep anymore.
He didn’t know when his life became so complicated, but he wasn’t a fan of it.
Back when it was just him, his crew, and the open sea — it was simple. He had a job, a straightforward mission. Find the Avatar, capture him, return home to the Fire Nation and regain his honor.
Now, the waters were more muddied than ever. Now on the run from the Fire Nation just like the boy he was chasing, all he really felt nowadays was anger.
Angry at the world for setting him on this path, angry at the Avatar for refusing to see what was necessary, his sister and her friends for turning against him, angry at the waterbender for making things so damn hard.
He didn’t want to hurt her. A part of him wished that she had never come back into his life, if it meant he wouldn’t have to constantly be fighting against her. He hated himself for the thought, but maybe it would have been easier for her to remain a memory of a lover than his active enemy.
Late at night, when he was reaching fruitlessly for sleep that would never come, he saw her face. The carefree energy from their childhood morphed into the shock and disappointment from both the North and their fight with Azula, and…
It made him wonder what in Agni had happened to them.
He—
He didn’t know. The way he felt about her, it was different than anything he had experienced before. Zuko didn’t know what it was, but he understood that it was special. And now… it felt like he had just thrown it all away.
Zuko couldn’t stop thinking about what had happened with her in that town — what he had done to her.
He had burned her to try and get to the Avatar, and he hadn’t even allowed a glance back at the damage he had done. He had heard her cry out in pain, pain he had caused, and he didn’t even look back.
What had happened to them? What had happened to him?
He kept telling himself that the mission was the only thing that mattered. And it was, wasn’t it? Capture the Avatar, regain his honor, get his old life back and finally be enough for his father. He didn’t have time for friends, or for these feelings he had, or— or for anything but capturing the Avatar. Because the Avatar was the key to everything, to his honor, and that was all that mattered.
But now…
Now, he didn’t know what he was supposed to do. He didn’t know what was right, or what was wrong, or what path was the one he had to take.
Zuko just wished things could be like they used to be.
~~~~~~~~~~
She didn’t really know when everything had become a mess again.
It all started out fine, like it usually did. Toph had become fully integrated into the group, any past squabbles put to rest in the name of a stronger friendship emerging between all five of them. Katara continued to work on Aang’s waterbending (oftentimes Y/N joining them in their sessions) while Toph slowly but steadily beat earthbending into him — literally.
They had all been working hard for so long that, by decree of Aang, it was ‘vacation time’. They would all get to pick out places they wanted to spend as a break, and after it was over they would get back to work.
Aang had chosen some sort of field with musical groundhogs, and Y/N had opted to revisit an Earth Kingdom village that she had passed through on her journey to the North. Sokka had complained the whole time about how they were ‘wasting valuable planning time’, but had finally conceded after the promise of ‘all the planning his heart could desire’ from Katara after their mini-vacations were over.
Y/N was actually feeling somewhat relaxed for once, but she had forgotten the golden rule — never let your guard down. Everytime she let her guard down, something bad happened without fail. So it shouldn’t have been any surprise with what happened in the desert.
Because after one trip to the Misty Palms Oasis and a journey into the desert with a professor to a long lost library, Appa had been taken by desert raiders.
It was… less than favourable. During their escape from the library, Professor Zei had insisted on staying behind, and now the five of them were stuck in the middle of the desert with no way out and zero guidance. Add some brewing tensions between Aang and Toph because of her being there when Appa was taken, and they had a recipe for a huge disaster.
And a disaster they had. Multiple disasters, actually.
There was only so much she and Katara could do to hold the group together, but by some miracle, they made it out of the desert with only one Avatar State mishap.
(And an incident with cactus juice, but… she didn’t really want to talk about that.)
....at least they had the information about the Eclipse. That was about the only thing keeping her together at the moment.
They had to get the information to the Earth King so they could formulate an attack with his warriors, but without Appa, they had to resort to more traditional methods of travel. Add in one passport problem, and that was how Y/N found herself braving the Serpent’s Pass alongside a refugee family with a baby on the way.
It was… intimidating, to say the least. Despite being surrounded by her element, Y/N didn’t feel any safer from the challenge that faced them. She took a deep breath, trying to tamp down on her fear the way her mother had taught her, as she followed the group, but her thoughts were soon interrupted.
“Hey.” She turned to see who the voice belonged to and was greeted by the girl that had teased Sokka early — Suki, if she remembered correctly. “I haven’t seen you around; are you with the Avatar or that family?”
“I’m with Aang,” Y/N explained. “I’m from the North, and they offered me a spot with them after they helped us defend our tribe against the Fire Nation. I’ve been with them ever since.” Suki nodded as they settled into a comfortable stride.
“That’s cool. Are you a waterbender?”
She gestured to her waterskin and smiled. “Yeah. I’ve been training with Aang and Katara ever since I left.” Y/N then turned her gaze back to Suki, raising an inquisitive brow. “Your makeup — what’s it for? I heard you talking about the Kyoshi Warriors back there; is that some kind of thing with Avatar Kyoshi?”
Suki grinned, her every expression heightened by the sharp reds and blacks above her eyes. “We’re a group of all-female warriors that use the teachings of Avatar Kyoshi and her partner Rangi to defend our home and the place she founded, Kyoshi Island. I’m the leader of our village section.”
“Wow,” she murmured, her eyes falling to the ground for a moment before finding their way back up to the warrior. “That’s really cool. You’re really cool.”
She laughed and shrugged. “Thanks. I’ve been training as a warrior for almost my whole life, so it just comes naturally. I like being able to protect people, and there’s no better way to pay back my home for all it’s done for me like protecting the whole village.”
“Wow,” she repeated with a small laugh of her own. “That’s really brave. I gotta say, I’m kinda jealous — I would love to see what would happen if Master Pakku met you all. Katara literally had to beat the sexism out of him in order to train to be a master.”
Suki chuckled. “Sounds like what I had to do with Sokka. Guess it’s a thing with Water Tribe guys, huh?”
At the mention of Sokka, she internally laughed. There had to be some kind of connection between the two of them, the way their interests kept aligning. “Sokka… he’s had it hard. I can’t blame him that much for any kind of attitude he had before he met you. Pakku, on the other hand? He had to have had something better to do than fight teenage girls.”
“You would think so, right?” Suki agreed. “And Sokka… I know. He’s got a heart of gold underneath all that, he just needed a little push to get it out.” As Y/N glanced over at the girl, noticing a slight pink tint under the white makeup, she gasped.
“La’s fins, are you two a thing?” she exclaimed with a grin.
Suki flushed even harder as she suddenly became very interested in the ocean around her, but she couldn’t help the smile on her lips. “No! I mean— yes— but… but—” she stopped to gather her thoughts before making eye contact again with a sheepish smile. “We’re not… really a thing, but… I do like him a lot. I didn’t really think I was going to see him again after they left the island, so this is really nice.”
“Then what are you waiting for?” Y/N asked. “I can already tell that he cares about you — have you seen how careful he’s being with you?”
“Well—” Whatever kind of excuse Suki would’ve made up was interrupted by a rock falling out just under Than, one of the refugees they were with, saved in the nick of time with Toph’s earthbending.
“I’m okay!” he reassured, but no sooner had the words left his mouth before the Fire Nation ship in the distance started firing.
“They’ve spotted us!” Sokka yelled. “Let’s go, let’s go!”
Aang flicked his glider open and deflected the blast, and Katara grabbed Y/N’s hand as they all began to run. Another blast rocked the mountain, causing several boulders to fall just above Suki. Y/N didn’t even have time to shout out a warning before Sokka tackled her out of the way, but it was ultimately more of Toph’s quick earthbending that saved him.
“Suki, are you okay?” Sokka brushed dust and pebbles off of her uniform as he examined her, and once he was satisfied he grabbed her hand and helped her up. “You have to be more careful! Come on!”
As the two of them caught up to Y/N and Katara, she gave Suki a knowing look. The warrior only blushed once again and glanced away.
After hours of navigating the pass, they were only about halfway through. Sokka made the executive decision to set up camp for the night to give everyone time to rest, and then they would get up at the crack of dawn to finish their trip. It only took a few minutes for Y/N to get a fire going, and soon everyone had settled in with their sleeping bags. Sokka got up from his spot as Suki wandered closer to the edge, and Katara nudged Y/N with her shoulder.
“Hey. How are your hands doing?”
“They’re fine,” she answered with a small smile, flipping her hands over as proof. Where there were once red burn scars on her palms only tiny white marks remained — one benefit to healing via waterbending was that most injuries were able to fade away completely after enough sessions. Her burns weren’t very serious and she was able to heal them almost immediately, so both her and Katara were sure that the marks would be completely gone soon.
The mental scars wouldn’t fade as easily.
“That’s good. And you’re taking care of them, right? Like, you’re not beating up people while we’re not looking?”
Y/N grinned. “No. I think I’ll leave that to Toph.”
Katara chuckled and nodded, turning her hands over in a final examination before nodding. “Good,” she repeated. The silence between them, although comfortable, stretched out for a little too long before she spoke again, this time much quieter. “He did this to you.”
“Katara…”
“I know,” she said. “I know you probably don’t want to hear this from me, or really at all, but… I’m worried about you. Zuko isn’t good for you. Every time we’ve run into him, he’s hurt you. And you deserve so much more than that.”
“You don’t understand,” she countered. “You don’t know Zuko like I do. You weren’t there when I was. I know you think I’m insane for still believing in him, but I— I can’t let go of him, Katara. I know the Zuko I love is still in there somewhere, and I have to try and find it. For me and for him.”
Katara’s eyes were full of nothing but sympathy as she sighed — it was obvious she didn’t believe her words, but in true fashion she was still trying her best to be supportive.
“Okay. I don’t understand it, but… I don’t think I can change your mind.” Y/N chuckled sadly and nodded, Katara’s piercing gaze meeting her own once more. “It’s just… Why are you playing with fire when you know you’re going to get burned?”
And for once, Y/N didn’t have an answer for her friend.
~~~~~~~~~
The night went by quickly, which Y/N was thankful for. It meant that the nightmares didn’t last as long.
After a quick headcount to make sure no one had fallen off the pass overnight and an even quicker gathering of their things, they set off to finish their journey.
It went just as well as she had expected — a giant serpent, the namesake of the pass, had attacked them while crossing through an underwater section. Thankfully, she was able to aid Katara and Aang in defeating it with waterbending with no casualties
But in the wake of one disaster there was always another, and before Y/N knew it a baby had been born. She was mostly there for moral support — Katara had it all handled, and Y/N didn’t expect anything less.
But finally, they had made it across the pass, and they were so close to Ba Sing Se that she could almost smell the city air. Sadly, though, that meant it was time for them to part ways — Aang to find Appa, and Suki back to her warriors. After some sad but hopeful goodbyes with Aang, it was time to bid farewell to Suki.
“Are you sure you can’t travel a little longer with us?” Y/N questioned, apparently not above pleading to try and get the girl to stay. “You’re— you’re amazing, and we’d really love to have you with us.”
“I can’t even imagine what travelling with the Avatar would be like,” she smiled, causing Y/N to get her hopes up for just a moment before they fell back down. “But I can’t stay. I have to get back to the Kyoshi Warriors.”
Y/N sighed, her gaze falling slightly downcast. “I get that. I just really wish you could stay. Or that I could meet your warriors. You seriously don’t know how cool you are, Suki.”
“Well, if you’re ever in town on Kyoshi Island, find us. I’m sure we’ll be able to work something out and do you one better than just meeting them all,” she said with a grin. “I think it’d be pretty cool to have the first waterbending Kyoshi Warrior.”
Y/N was unable to prevent the heat rushing to her cheeks as she smiled shyly, once again averting eye contact. “That would be amazing. I’ll have to find my way back there after the war.”
Suki bumped shoulders with her, causing a startled laugh to spill from her lips. “We’d love to have you.”
“Wait, why does it sound like you’re saying goodbye to her?” Sokka questioned as he walked up to the two of them. Y/N winked at Suki and gestured at him with her head, walking off before Suki could protest to find Katara.
The conversation the two girls were sharing was an extremely thinly veiled excuse to eavesdrop on the lovebirds, and when they kissed Y/N actually had to hold back a scream.
Sokka deserved this. She knew how much he beat himself up over every little thing that went wrong, and it was about time he got to relax even for a moment. She only hoped that Suki would be in their corner of the world sooner rather than later.
What could she say? She was already fantasizing about life as a Kyoshi Warrior.
~~~~~~~~~
Although they had parted ways, they soon found themselves reunited with Aang to stop yet another Fire Nation threat.
“For the love of Kuruk,” Y/N murmured as she stared into the distance, her eyes wide at the sight of a large mechanical drill. “That was Ty Lee who just took down all those soldiers. And if she’s here, Mai and Azula are with her too. Guys, It’s one thing to stop this drill, it’s another thing to take those three down with it.”
“The question is, how do we do it?” Aang questioned.
“Why can nothing ever be easy?” Sokka lamented. His gaze remained trained on the drill for a moment before he realized theirs were on him. “Why are you all looking at me?”
“You’re the idea guy,” Aang said.
“Wait, so I’m the only one who can ever come up with a plan?” he protested. “That’s a lot of pressure!”
“And also the complaining guy,” Katara muttered, drawing a chuckle out from Y/N.
“Now that part I don’t mind,” Sokka admitted.
“Well, Sokka— you were a huge help in the North, and you figured out a way to defeat the Fire Nation during that eclipse at the library! Plus, there’s all that stuff that Katara told me you did before I joined.” She patted him on the back. “If anyone can figure out how to take that thing down, it’s you.”
He shrugged nonchalantly, his ego only slightly bolstered. “...okay. I think I can do it.”
“That’s the spirit!” she said with a smile.
Unfortunately, that smile faded as a young guard came running up to the wall. “Excuse me, Avatar and friends — I’ve heard that you’ve dealt with that… that pink girl down there before.” They nodded and he continued. “It would do us a great deal of help if you could come down and look at our injured soldiers, then.”
Y/N and Katara nodded in unison and started to follow the guard, the remaining three trailing after them. They ended up inside the wall, in what looked like an infirmary of sorts with all the cots and soldiers lying around, and the two waterbenders exchanged looks.
“You know what to do?” Katara asked.
Y/N hummed in acknowledgment, and they both knelt down next to separate cots. “This definitely looks like Ty Lee’s work,” she murmured as she bent water up from the pot and molded it over the man’s arm.
“What’s wrong with him?” the general questioned. “He doesn’t look injured.”
“His chi is blocked,” Katara explained. “Who did this to you?”
“Two girls ambushed us,” the soldier said, moving his arm as he regained feeling. “One of them hit me with a bunch of quick jabs and suddenly I couldn't earthbend anymore and I could barely move. Then she cartwheeled away.”
Katara sighed as she bent the water back into the pot. “You were right, Y/N. That was Ty Lee — she doesn’t look dangerous, but she knows the human body and its weak point. It’s like she takes you down from the inside.”
As if struck by lightning, Sokka lit up. “Oh, oh, oh! What you just said — that’s how we’re going to take down the drill; the same way Ty Lee took down all those earthbenders!”
“By hitting its pressure points!” Toph exclaimed with a grin.
The breakthrough brought a steely determination to Aang’s features as he looked out into the distance. “We’ll take it down from the inside.”
~~~~~~~~~
Like everything they did, it seemed so simple on paper. But now that she was actually inside the drill, it felt a lot more nerve wracking. Toph opted to stay outside where she could see and try to slow down the drill with the earth at her disposal, which left the four of them to somehow take it down from the inside.
Sokka led them through a hallway with a myriad of valves and pipes as he thought out loud. “I need a plan of this machine — some schematics that show what the inside looks like. Then we can find its weak points.”
“Where are we gonna get something like that?” Aang asked.
Sokka thought for a moment before he took his machete out and hacked a valve off a pipe. Y/N instinctively took a step back and shielded her face from the hot steam. “What are you doing?” she cried. “Someone’s gonna hear us!”
“That’s the point!” he exclaimed. “A machine this big needs engineers to run it, and when something breaks—”
“Someone will come down to fix it!” Katara finished with a smile at Aang, a sentiment the boy returned happily.
It was surprisingly easy to take down the engineer once he arrived — with a little bit of frozen mist on Katara’s end, they had the plans they needed. Sokka’s expertise combined with the blueprints got them to the beginning of the outer shell.
“Wow,” Sokka muttered. “It looks a lot thicker than it does in the plans. We’re gonna have to work pretty hard to cut through that.”
Katara crossed her arms. “What’s this ‘we’ stuff? The three of us are gonna have to do all the work.”
“Look, I’m the plan guy!” Sokka explained with a gesture to himself. “You three are the ‘cut up stuff with waterbending’ guys. Together, we’re Team Avatar!”
Katara and Aang looked wholly unamused while Y/N chuckled. “Team Avatar. I like it.”
“Thank you,” he smiled. “At least someone appreciates my genius.”
“Tui’s gills, why do you have to keep boosting his ego?” Katara complained. “Let’s just get this done before it gets worse.”
The three of them got in position — Katara and Aang on opposite sides so they could pass the stream of water between them, and Y/N making the point of the triangle to work on the other side on her own. They were hoping it would be more efficient being able to cut through both sides at the same time, but it was proving to be much more difficult than they had imagined — halfway through the three of them were already exhausted.
By some feat of strength they were able to completely cut through the brace, but their hard work didn’t pay off in quite the way they had imagined — when the beam only shifted a few inches she groaned.
“Oh, you have got to be kidding me,” she breathed as she wiped sweat off of her forehead.
“At this rate,” Katara paused to inhale deeply, “we won’t do enough damage before the drill reaches the wall.”
“I don’t know how many more of those I have in me,” Aang said sadly.
A large creak suddenly rang throughout the large chamber, and they all looked up for the source.
“Did you hear that?” Sokka asked, already backing up to make an exit. “We took it down! We gotta get out of here, fast!”
Just as they reached the door on the other side, a crackle followed by the sound of a man’s voice dashed their hopes. “Congratulations, crew. The drill has made contact with the wall of Ba Sing Se. Start the countdown to victory!”
A collective silence hung in the air between them, the threat now even more imminent as their situation sunk in. Mai and Ty Lee had proven effective in taking down any Earth Kingdom threat posed at them, and despite Toph’s skill they knew she couldn’t take down something like this on their own.
They either had to figure out a way to destroy this drill, or the Fire Nation was going to make it into the city.
Sokka ran back over to the brace and pushed against it, putting all his strength into the feat but to no avail. “Come…. on! Move!”
Katara started pacing around in a small circle, crossing her arms again as she tried to think of something. “This is bad. This is really bad.”
“Sokka, that’s not going to work!” Y/N didn’t mean to snap, but the grinding of metal on metal combined with her nervousness got to her. She sighed and ran her hand over her face. “I— I’m sorry. But it’s still not going to work.”
He groaned as he leaned against the brace. “We’re putting everything we have into busting these things, but it’s taking too long!”
Suddenly, Aang jumped up from the ground with stars in his eyes. “Maybe we don’t need to cut all the way through! Toph — she’s been teaching me that you shouldn’t put a hundred percent of your energy in any one strike. Sokka, get in a fighting stance.”
Sokka complied and as Aang talked through his points, he demonstrated it on Sokka. “You've got to be quick and accurate. Hit a series of points and break your opponent's stance. And when he's reeling back, you deliver the final blow. His own weight becomes his downfall, literally.”
As Sokka fell over from the attack, Katara lit up. “So we just need to weaken the braces instead of cutting all the way through—”
“—then I can go to the top of this thing and deliver the final blow!” Aang finished.
Y/N helped Sokka up from the ground, his spirits not dampened at all. “Then boom! This whole thing goes down!”
“Then what are we waiting for?” Y/N asked, flexing her fingers to refresh them for all the bending she was going to have to do. “Aang, Katara and I can handle the braces. Focus on getting up to the top before anyone sees you.”
He nodded and they all met each other with determined eyes. “Everyone inside that wall, the whole world — they’re all counting on us.”
“Here, take this. You need this more than I do. ” Katara took her waterskin off and handed it to Aang. “Good luck. And be careful.”
Y/N noticed a slight blush on her cheeks and she had to hold back her smile. That was definitely something she was going to tease her friend about later — when they weren’t trying to stop the Fire Nation from breaking into Ba Sing Se.
“I will,” he assured. Aang slung the strap of the waterskin around his shoulder and took off, and Y/N and Katara got to work breaking through the rest of the braces.
With the knowledge that they only had to cut through half of each column and the revitalization that came from having a plan, their work went by much quicker. Just when they finished the final brace, it all went wrong.
“Good work, Team Avatar!” Sokka cheered. “Now we— Y/N, duck!”
She didn’t question Sokka as she immediately dropped to the ground, something she was immensely thankful for as a blast of blue fire seared past her. Her eyes snapped up to the source of the attack and narrowed in recognition.
“Of course they’re here,” she growled as she pulled herself back up. “We gotta go, now!”
Katara and Sokka nodded and they all started running. Bringing up the rear, Y/N was able to hear Azula’s words right before they split off into an intersection:
“Follow them! I’m going to find the Avatar.”
Sure enough, when she allowed a glance back, Mai and Ty Lee were closing in on them. She flicked open the cap of her waterskin and bent some out, managing to freeze it at just the right moment to block the incoming daggers from Mai. Still running, she melted it quickly and let it fall to the ground before freezing it again, creating some ice on the ground that would hopefully give them a few more seconds of leeway.
“That should give us some time!” she yelled as they turned a corner, finally turning her attention back to the path in front of them. “Any idea how we’re gonna get out of this thing?”
“Maybe!” Sokka yelled back, slowing to a stop as they came to a dead end, a large hatch the only thing at their disposal. He started tugging on the wheel in an attempt to open it, and when Y/N joined in they were able to wrench it open.
“Slurry pipeline?” Katara frowned as she read the sign on the wall and looked at Sokka. “What does that mean?”
“It’s rock and water mixed together,” he explained as they looked into the rushing liquid underneath the hatch. “It means it’s our way out!”
Katara nodded and climbed in, Sokka following close after. The sound of metal footsteps got closer and closer, and Y/N ducked inside just as Mai’s knives clanked against the hatch. Never before had she been so happy to be floating in a stream of slurry.
The rest of their mission went by surprisingly easy — at least, on their end. All it took was some waterbending — earthbending, when Toph joined them — and encouragement from Sokka (though unappreciated by Katara). Whatever magic Aang was working at the top of the drill had done its job, because soon enough the drill had collapsed in on itself.
And now, they had reunited on the top of the wall overlooking the sunset. After the chaos that had been their day, it was nice to just relax for even a moment. And there was no better way to do so than with her friends.
“I just want to say, good effort out there, Team Avatar!” Sokka exclaimed as he threw an arm around Y/N’s shoulder.
“Enough with the ‘Team Avatar’ stuff,” Katara said dryly. “No matter how many times you say it, it’s not going to catch on.”
“I like it, Sokka,” Y/N smiled. “I’ve liked it this whole time.”
“You always appreciate my genius, Y/N,” he mused. “That’s why I appreciate you.” She laughed and leaned her head against his shoulder as he continued to list off names.
“How about… the Boomeraang squad! Eh? See, it’s good because it’s boomerang, and it has Aang in it—”
“Yeah Sokka,” Toph interrupted. “We got it.”
Aang grinned and scratched his head. “I kinda like that one.”
“The Aang Gang. Ooh, the Fearsome Fivesome!”
“You’re crazy,” Toph muttered as she walked away.
“Wait, Sokka—” Y/N pulled away from him and held up her pointer finger. “Aang Gang — what if we combine it, so it’s just the Gaang? But still with Aang’s name?”
And at that moment, Sokka looked more proud than ever. “Oh, you— you are a genius.”
“Oh, spirits,” Katara groaned. “Why do you insist on encouraging him?”
“You’re just jealous of our name-making abilities,” Sokka said haughtily.
She rolled her eyes but couldn’t stop herself from laughing. “You two are completely ridiculous, you know that? Let’s just get into the city before the trains stop running.”
Y/N and Sokka winked at each other as they all started walking, unable to keep the smile off of her face. She always thought it was amazing — they went through insane things every day, but at the end of it all she was always able to smile because of them. And as her gaze drifted towards the city in the distance, she hoped it would hold true.
She had no idea what Ba Sing Se had in store for her.

Everything About The Moon in Magick
An Overview of The Moon Cycles
The Lunar Phase or Moon Phase is the shape we see of the moon, which is lit by the sun, when viewed from earth. The Lunar Phases gradually change over the period of a Synodic Month, which is around 29.53 days. This occurs due to the orbital positions of the Moon around Earth and the Earth around the Sun moving. The Moons location is tidally locked by Earth's gravity, this causes most of the same lunar side to always face earth.
Each of the main four "intermediate" lunar phases is around 7.4 days but this will vary slightly due to the elliptical shape of the moons orbit. There are four main principal lunar phases: • New Moon (0°) • First Quarter (90°) • Full Moon (180°) • Last Quarter (270°) The Degrees show the Moon's ecliptic longitude at the angle to the sun. All of these phases appear slightly different times at different locations on earth.
During the intervals between principal phases are intermediate phases, during which the Moon's apparent shape is either crescent or gibbous. The intermediate phases last one-quarter of a synodic month, or 7.38 days, on average. The descriptor waxing is used for an intermediate phase when the Moon's apparent shape is thickening, from new to full moon, and waning when the shape is thinning.

Full Moon of The Months
January Full Moon
The first Full Moon of the year is named after howling wolves, hence the name The Wolf Moon. In some cultures, it was known as Old Moon, Ice Moon, Snow Moon, and the Moon after Yule. In ancient times, it was common to track the changing seasons by following the lunar month rather than the solar year, which the 12 months in our modern calendar are based on. For millennia, people across Europe, as well as Native American tribes, named the months after features they associated with the Northern Hemisphere seasons, and many of these names are very similar or identical. This is the time for protection and strength, this time symbolizes both the beginning and the end.
February Full Moon
The Snow Moon is the Full Moon in February, named after the snow on the ground. Some North American tribes named it the Hunger Moon due to the scarce food sources and hard hunting conditions during mid-winter, while others named it the Storm Moon. Some sources also call it Chaste Moon, although most attribute this name to March Full Moon. About once every 19 years, February does not have a Full Moon, known as a Black Moon. In 2018, this was the case in most time zones. Instead, January and March have two Full Moons each, creating a double Blue Moon. This is the time to focus on magick for fertility and strength.
March Full Moon
The Full Moon in March is the Worm Moon, and it is usually considered the last Full Moon of winter. It is also called Lenten Moon, Crow Moon, Crust Moon, Chaste Moon, Sugar Moon, and Sap Moon. The Worm Moon got its name from the earthworms that emerge at this time of year in the Northern Hemisphere. This is the time to plant plans in your mind, its also a period of purity and newness.
April Full Moon
The Full Moon in April is the Pink Moon, from the pink flowers – phlox – that bloom in the early spring. Other names for this Full Moon include Sprouting Grass Moon, Fish Moon, Hare Moon, and the Old English/Anglo-Saxon name is Egg Moon. It is also known as the Paschal Moon because it is used to calculate the date for Easter. Now is the time to put your plans into action!
May Full Moon
The May Full Moon is known as Flower Moon to signify the flowers that bloom during this month. Other names for the Full Moon in May are Corn Planting Moon, and Milk Moon from Old English/Anglo-Saxon. Now is the time to focus on love, health, romance and wisdom. It’s time to rekindle your withering flames.
June Full Moon
June’s Full Moon is the Strawberry Moon as these little red berries ripen at this time. Other names are Hot Moon, Mead Moon, and Rose Moon. Now is the time to focus on love, marriage and success. June is the month of marriage!
July Full Moon
The Full Moon for the month of July is called Buck Moon to signify the new antlers that emerge on deer buck's foreheads around this time. This Full Moon is also known as Thunder Moon, Wort Moon, and Hay Moon from Old English/Anglo-Saxon. Now is the time to focus on enchantment, health, rebirth, strength and celebration. It’s a great time for prosperity magick and others of the sort.
August Full Moon
The Full Moon for August is called Sturgeon Moon because of the large number of fish in the lakes where the Algonquin tribes fished. Other names for this Full Moon include Green Corn Moon, Barley Moon, Fruit Moon, and Grain Moon from Old English/Anglo-Saxon. Technically, the Harvest Moon is the Full Moon closest to the September equinox around September 22. Most years it is in September, but around every three years, it is in October. The Harvest Moon is the only Full Moon name which is determined by the equinox rather than a month. Now is the time for abundance, agriculture and sharing. Enjoy the bounty of the earth but don’t forget to share with those who don’t feel the abundance like you do.
September Full Moon
The Full Moon in the month of September in the Old Farmer's Almanac is called Harvest Moon, which corresponds with the Old English/Anglo-Saxon name, while other names are Corn Moon or Full Corn Moon or Barley Moon. Now is the time for protection, prosperity and a continuation of abundance.
October Full Moon
Every three years, the Hunter's Moon is also the Harvest Moon. Traditionally, people in the Northern Hemisphere spent the month of October preparing for the coming winter by hunting, slaughtering and preserving meats for use as food. This led to October’s Full Moon being called the Hunter’s Moon, Dying Grass Moon, and Blood Moon or Sanguine Moon. However, this should not be confused with a Total Lunar Eclipse/Blood Moon. Now is the time for new goals, resolution and spirituality. Evaluate yourself, reflect, what could you do better, who could you be?
November Full Moon
According to folklore, the Full Moon in November is named after beavers who become active while preparing for the winter. It is also known as Frosty Moon, and along with the December Full Moon some called it Oak Moon. Traditionally, if the Beaver Moon is the last Full Moon before the winter solstice, it is also called the Mourning Moon. Now is the time for prosperity and your bonds with family and friends. Take this opportunity to use divination to show what your future holds.
December Full Moon
December is the month when winter begins for most of the Northern Hemisphere, and the Full Moon is called the Cold Moon. The Old English/Anglo-Saxon name is the Moon Before Yule, while another name is Wolf Moon, however, this is more common for the January Full Moon. Now is the time for hope and healing, let go. Start anew. This is your new self.
The Moon in Magick
Moon magic is associated with the Moon. There is a belief common to many cultures that working rituals at the time of different phases of the moon can bring about physical or psychological change or transformation. These rituals have historically occurred on or around the full moon and to a lesser extent the new moon. Such practices are common among adherents of neopagan and witchcraft systems such as Wicca. Witches in Greek and Roman literature, particularly those from Thessaly, were regularly accused of "drawing down the Moon" by use of a magic spell. The trick serves to demonstrate their powers, to perform a love spell or to extract a magical juice from the Moon. These beliefs would seem to be consistent with many other cultures traditions, for instance; casting of the i ching is often done during the full moon's apex.
The following are correspondences with the moon’s phases.
Phase 1: New Moon
The new moon is a fresh start. When the moon is in this phase, you can barely see it, and the sky can appear black. Sometimes magick can be quite literal, and with the moon out of sight, this can be an ideal time to do shadow work or acknowledge our dark sides, or shadow selves, that we typically like to keep hidden.
For instance, perhaps you have a manipulative side you tend to insist doesn't exist when called out. Are there healthy ways you could use these skills, such as to get ahead in your career without hurting others in the process? Or you could use your ability to read others to encourage your partner to communicate together rather than to control them? New moons are great for exploring our shadow sides and finding ways to work positively with them.
Additionally, as new moons are new beginnings, the new moon is a wonderful time to set goals and intentions for the forthcoming cycle. What do you want the next month to look like? Is there a toxic lover you're finally ready to cut out of your life to make room for the person of your dreams? The new moon is a great time to encourage beginnings, especially in love. And you know what beginnings require: letting go of the past. If you want to clear bad energy in your love life to attract an ideal mate, the new moon has your back.
Magick for this Time Includes;
Bath Magick
Cleansing Magick
Acquiring New Things Magick
Shadow Magick
Phase 2: Waxing Moon
The waxing moon phase is when the moon is visually getting bigger and brighter, shifting from a new moon to a full moon. During the waxing moon, the moon is growing, becoming brighter, and creating an ideal phase for sympathetic magick around growth. Sympathetic magick means magick that works through symbolic resemblance. The moon is getting brighter, so let's use that energy to make your career, self-esteem, and love life brighter, too.
Magick for this Time Includes;
Persuasion Magick
Intention Magick
Manifesting Magick
Seeking Magick
Candle Magick
Journal Magick
Love Magick
Phase 3: Full Moon
Emotions run high on full moons, and everything is extra intense. You can use this intensity and apply it to basically any spell you like, with the knowledge you'll have a bright ball of shining power to aid you. Many people charge their crystals during full moons by placing them somewhere they'll be exposed to the light. Another trick is to make full moon water, by placing a goblet of water under the light of the full moon on top of a letter of intention. Let the full moon charge the water, and then utilize it in potions or spells. Any magick can be done under a full moon with extra potency, but it's also a time in which psychic abilities are heightened. Trust your instincts under a full moon, even if emotions are running high. One of the simplest and best uses of full moon energy is to meditate in its light for clarity on a situation.
Magick for this Time Includes;
Sex Magick
Strength Magick
Confidence Magick
Physic Magick
Higher-self Magick
Tarot Magick
Familiar Magick
Spirit Guide Magick
Phase 4: Waning Moon
The waning moon is the time period in which the moon is getting darker again, moving from a full moon back to new. Remembering sympathetic magick, the waning moon is great for banishing work, or cutting cords with a past lover. However, you don't always need to banish a person from your life entirely — some of the most powerful banishing work you can do is spells to rid yourself of feelings for someone you know is bad for you, insecurity or self-doubt. Empowering yourself works better (and some would argue more ethical) than trying to change the will of another. Banish unfair treatment at work, banish your impostor syndrome. Remove unwanted negativeness that is keeping you from living the life you deserve.

Banishment Magick
Insecurity Magick

Uses of Moon Water
Moon water has many uses and is very common in spells that involve liquid or elixirs. The following are a few examples of their uses;
Bathing or Cleaning One Self, incorporating Moon Water into Bath Magick is a very expensive use of a large quantity of water but will undoubtedly boost the power of the magick in use.
Energizing/Charging and Cleaning Crystals, Moonlight can charge and clean your crystals but so can your water, although you do have to check if your crystals can go in water. Selenite is a brilliant example of one that cannot.
Tea’s or Beverages, this is a very direct way to empower yourself with the power of the moon for daily use. If you do intend on using your moon water as a drink please be sure to use clean water, prevent insects or animals of the like for coming into contact with it and make sure the container is clean.
Making Potions, Or sprays. It is very common to find Moon Water as an ingredient for cleansing sprays and potion bases. As a potion base Moon Water depends on the moon phase it’s associated with, meaning that the Moon Water is already imbued with the power and meaning of that specific Moon Phase. Make sure they correspond accordingly!
Watering Plants and Flowers, adding Moon Water to your plants can influence them to grow better and develop a further connection between the two of you.
Making Fragrances or Perfumes, Moon Water is extremely popular in Glamour spells and sprays, as it is a pure form of gentle power. The Moon is commonly associated with femininity and a boost of this can help influence your feminine side. Not to say that Men can’t use Moon Water, every person has a feminine side, no matter what’s in their pants!
Diffuser Water, placing Moon Water in your diffuser can help empower the fragrance and boost the Magickal energy of the area it’s placed by.
Being A Symbol of Your Moon Goddess/God. A jar or bottle of Moon Water on your altar can help symbolize your Moon related deities.

Winner Takes All: Rappa X F!Reader
For the spicy server collab! Some Rappa not exactly following the rules be getting exactly what he wants 🥵🥵🥵
Rating: E
Warnings: Smut, face sitting, fem!dom, dry humping, death(?)
_____________
"Rappa! Smash Brothers is a video game!" You hiss as he drags you into one of  the back rooms of the club you were at.
Someone had jokingly said that if they won the Super Smash Bros. Tournament the bar had been hosting you'd be the prize, and you'd have to sit on their face. You'd been royally pissed; not a prize to be won; you had been about to lay into the guy when your big burly boyfriend decided to do it for you. Except...you were pretty sure the guy was dead based on the amount of blood on Rappa's knuckles and the man's eerily still body on the floor.
It's not like anyone would care that much, the seedy underbelly of a club that it was.
"Why play a game when you can do it in real life?" He boots the door closed behind you and you go to sit on the worn couch at the opposite end of the room.
"You didn't have to kill the guy!" You cross your arms, Rappa tilts his head and looks down at his knuckles.
"I just gave 'em a regular punch." He rolls his shoulders. You try hard not to focus on the rippling muscles, you were supposed to be mad at him.
"Your regular punches kill people Rappa." You reply coolly, trying to keep your poker face in check.
Your boyfriend pauses and looks thoughtful for a moment before grinning devilishly.
"Yeah they do." He says rather proudly, you sigh and sag further into the sofa.
"Awe babydoll don't be mad, besides he was being a sleaze." He gently presses, but doesn't approach yet. He knows he's in some sort of trouble.
"I can take care of myself well enough." You huff, you know you're pouting at this point.
"Of course ya can darlin'" he's trying his honeyed words now and. That just isn't fair…You try to ignore it.
“Besides, liked I’d EVER sit on his face.” you grimace at the idea of it.
“Especially when your thrones’ right here!” you nearly facepalm when he points to his face.
“Kendou…” you start, not sure if you should laugh, be turned on, or mad, damn him for making you feel so many emotions at once.
“Come on darlin’...” he moves to you, for Kendou it would be considered a slow measured walk, but he’s so large he’s at your feet in three strides. Slowly he sinks to his knees and God damnit, heat rushes through you and you can feel yourself getting wet at the sight of your massive lover bowing to you. “I beat ‘em right?”
“Not the way you were supposed to.” you try to be firm with him.
“Details.” with his size he can look you square in the eye even on his knees.
“Important details Kendou.” you shiver as he leans, his nose brushing along the pulse of your neck before he nips at you.
“Ya look so fuckin’ cute right now.” he rumbles, and you can hear the smile in his voice.
“You’ve got blood all over your knuckles.” it’s becoming really hard to focus now, his breath at your neck, his teeth grazing your flesh.
“Ya like it.” he’s trying to whisper but nothing is ever quiet with him.
“Kendou…” you’re starting to waver, his massive hands rest just above your knees, his thumbs pressing, pads rubbing against your inner thigh.
“Fuck babydoll, I’ll beg for it, if that’s what ya want.” he growls, moving closer to you, sitting up further on his knees. You notice he’s slotting his hips against the front of the couch between your legs. “I’ll do it; beg for your sopping pussy.” oh and he’s gridding his hips against the couch.
You grab a fist full of his hair and yank him into a searing kiss, your teeth clacking against his own as you lay into him. He inhales sharply and then groans, you feel his hips snap against the cushion.
“Fuck...move.” you hiss finally, pushing him away, you scooch, leaving the spot you were sitting at bare. “Lay your head back against the cushions.” your stripping yourself of your panties, deciding to leave your skirt on...something about it made you hot and bothered.
Rappa looked rather pleased with himself as he quickly obliged, laying out most of his body on the gross backroom floor, broad shoulders pressing back against the front of the couch, his head and crazy mane of hair coming to rest on the seat cushion.You can see the tent at the front of his pants and fuck if that doesn’t make you even more wet.
Quickly your throwing a leg over him and hiking your skirt up as you straddle his face; he’s grinning up at you, golden eyes dark as he drinks in the sight of you.
“Fuck...just fucking smoother me darlin’.” his hands are at you thighs, pressing but not forcing you to move.
“I thought you said you would beg.” you say smartly and the look of pure lust that clouds his vision is so incredibly decadent you can hardly stand it.
“Fuuucckkkk, babydoll please, lemme eat ya out.” turns his head and bites at your thigh, fingertips pressing tighter against your skin.
“More.” you command, you hear his boots squeaking against the floor and you look over your shoulder to see him bracing his legs, feet firmly planted as his hips buck up into nothing.
“Please, please, please make a mess of me, just fucking cover me, you’re so fuckin’ good.” you watch as he bucks up a few more times before turning to look down at him. Your knees practically give out at the sight.
Your big bad Rappa, begging you, eyes hazed in lust, looking so dreamy you have to catch yourself.
“Alright big guy…” you barely have control left over your composure. "Since you asked so nicely.”
You lower yourself to him, squeaking in surprise as he pulls you down the rest of the way practically smashing you into him. But the loud groan he produces and the thick roll of his tongue against your folds has your noise of surprise morphing into a wavering moan.
“Rappa…” you keen, hands going to grip the back of the sofa, his nose bumping against your clit, as he laps broadly against you. You don't even have to do any work, his strong arms are moving you against him tighty, smearing your arousal up and down the lower half of his face.
He doesn’t have as much finesse as usual (if you could call anything of him finesse) but the way he practically devours you, has your head spinning, and the heat inside your gut coiling.
“Oh, Kendou!” he thrusts his tongue inside of you eagerly lapping at your dripping essence. You you can hardly keep your bearings straight, you wonder if he can even breath at the rate he’s going.
You make a sound of displeasure as his tongue leaves you, but you're quickly whimpering out his name as one of his thick fingers presses inside you. And then he’s angling you just so and, fuck...His lips close around your clit and he gives you a harsh lick.
You’re practically vibrating as you look down, nearly coming then and there as Kendou looks back up at you through his bangs, face flushed, pupils dilated, to the point there is only an eclipse of gold around the abyss.
It’s all you can do to hold out for a few more deep thrusts of his finger and few more harsh laps of his tongue, before you cumming,crying out and covering his mouth and chin in your slick, your body shivering as he devours every last drop.
Your legs are shaky and the overstimulation is becoming too much, when you feel his hands move from your thighs to your waist and then he’s picking you up like you weigh nothing; over his head, setting you on his stomach.
You sag into him, you’re sure your juices are staining his shirt but honestly you don’t have the strength or brain power left to care. Slowly he lifts his head; if you had any decency left you’d blush at the sight of your slick on his chin and mouth.
“How was that princess?” he drawls looking rather pleased with himself.
“The throne was adequate.” you reply, lazy smile gracing your lips.
A bark of laughter escapes from him.
“Adequate enough that I think you deserve a little something in return.” he doesn’t see the coy look on your face as you turn, reaching around to palm at his straining cock through his pants.
You had never heard a laugh turn into a moan so fast in your life.

Miguel 38 because let's be honest that's some shit he would say
Tumblr media
This is a combination of three requests for Miguel (from last weekend) using the prompts #10, #38, and #40. There are some slight changes in the wordings to better fit the character.
“You’re really going to make me beg for it?”
You perched yourself on the edge of Miguel’s desk, the action causing your silk négligée to rise up on your thighs. It was a calculated move, one that you’d hoped would entice your husband into joining you in the bedroom.
It didn’t appear to be working.
Miguel sat stonefaced and unimpressed, his posture rigid as he continued to look over documents in his desk chair. His poker face always impressed you. It was a necessity in his line of work, but you didn’t care for when he brought the talent home and used it with you.
You sighed, knowing it was going to take more of an effort than that. Miguel was upset with you, angry at the fact that you’d chosen to dismiss your bodyguards earlier that day. You’d wanted to be alone and drive yourself around for once, intent on using the peace to go to the spa and do some shopping. You’d known Miguel would be annoyed with your choice, but you didn’t think he’d react quite so furiously.
The minute he’d gotten word of your actions, he’d called and lectured you on how careless you had been, demanding you come home. You’d dutifully listened and ended your day early to meet your husband at home, only he wasn’t there. And he’d made it clear you weren’t to leave again.
So instead, you’d filled up your day with cooking and online shopping. You’d hoped to ease some of his anger with one of his favorite meals and a gift. But he hadn’t been impressed. He’d given you the silent treatment all night and now that it was time for bed, he wasn’t budging on joining you.
“Miguel, I said I was sorry. I just wanted some time to myself.” You explained again, leaning into his hunched frame. His dark eyes were studying some kind of schematic, blueprints for a vacant lot.
“Okay.” He said shortly, nodding along with your words.
“So will you come to bed? Let me make it up to you?” You asked delicately, reaching out to touch him. He caught your wrist before you could, eyes now trained fiercely on you. The look he gave you sent a shiver of fear and lust through your limbs, your thighs already clenching in retaliation.
“And that’s how you think you can make it up to me? By offering yourself up like some kind of whore?” He bit out, though his tone was eerily calm.
You tried hard not to wince at his words. Something else was going on with him, something from the other world, and if he wanted to play this game, then you’d happily cooperate. You realized a long time ago that for him, you’d do anything.
“Your whore.” You finally responded, chest now heaving with anticipation and excitement. His eyes lowered to your breasts, pleased to see them rising and falling with your movements, nipples almost visible through the silk and lace.
Miguel laughed darkly, no humor behind the sound. He jerked your arm, forcing you to stand in front of his spread thighs. You tripped over your feet, but he caught you easily, steadying you.
“Take this off.” He gestured to your nightie, pulling the hem into his fingers and inspecting it with a look akin to boredom.
You obeyed and slid the straps down your arms and let the flimsy material bunch at your feet. You kicked it away gently, careful not to trip in the process. Miguel’s eyes took you in, scanning your naked form like a shark accessing its prey. Your nipples hardened at the feel of his stare, your pussy raining with moisture.
“Get on your knees.” He demanded coolly, daring you to do otherwise.
You lowered yourself to the floor at his feet, feeling like you were in front of a firing squad. You wedged yourself between his thighs and brushed against his creased slacks, your body desperate for some kind of touch.
“Well, what are you waiting for, mi amor?” Miguel said in a patronizing tone, gesturing to his very prominent bulge.
Your mouth instinctualy watered at the sight, hands moving to undo his belt. You pushed his black boxer briefs down and grasped him in your hand, reveling at the hard thickness pulsing in your palm.
You bent down to taste him, tongue running along the length of him slowly. He groaned in approval, his own hands making their way to the back of your head. He didn’t push you down yet, but you knew it was coming.
Your mouth took him in and suctioned with just the right amount of pressure. His hand tightened on the back of your head as he momentarily lost himself in the sensations. You worked harder and faster, intent on making him cum.
“Fuck. More…use your throat.” He instructed, gaze now centered back on you.
You did as he said, deep throating his cock with a wild hunger. He thrust his hips up, hitting the back of your throat and making you tense. Your throat constricted against the movement, but he didn’t stop. And you didn’t tell him to.
“Look at me.”
You stared up at him, mouth full of cock and tears streaking down your face. He caressed your bulging cheek, a self-satisfying smirk adorning his bearded lips.
“You’re beautiful like this. No back talk. No attitude. Just a dutiful wife on her knees for her husband.” He taunted, fingertips tracing over your face with a tenderness that eclipsed his words.
You felt yourself getting wetter with each passing second. The way Miguel would take control of you, make you work for your pleasure…it always set you off. He was a powerful man by day and that fact didn’t change when the sun set. In fact, it might even get stronger by the light of the moon. Because you were his lover and not a six foot something man he had to threaten. And Miguel basked in your submission, knowing you got off on it as much as he did.
“Touch yourself.” He ordered.
You let one of your hands trail up your thigh and to the epicenter of your need. You fondled your clit, using the wetness that had leaked from your lips to aid in your pleasure. With your mouth still around Miguel’s cock, you moaned, feeling the vibrations run through you both. You plunged your finger back into your slick walls, soaking the appendage.
“Show me.”
Without him having to elaborate, you removed your finger and held it up for him to see. You watched as his eyes shifted into something darker at seeing the clear stickiness that covered you. He licked his lips, his body having the same response as yours did with him.
He tapped your cheek, signaling you to release him from your mouth. You did, and watched as he led your hand to his cock. You understood his meaning immediately and used your messy finger to encircle the head of him, slathering your juices on his flesh. He rutted his hips at the action and you watched in blind fascination as precum began to appear.
“Stand up.” He said between gritted teeth, clearly on the verge of losing his well-practiced self control.
You did as he said and stood, knees sore from the hardwood floor. He jerked you forward onto his lap, forcing you to straddle him. Your hips moved on their own when your flesh met his, rubbing against him sensuously. His hands dug into your hips, halting your movements.
You whimpered at the pain and at the fact that he stopped you. You could feel every nerve ready to implode, ready for that sweet release.
“Please,” You begged, nails digging into his shoulders.
He eyed you for a moment before leaning forward and attacking your collarbone and chest with a series of erotic kisses. His tongue and teeth took turns lavishing you with attention as you threw your head back in bliss. You threaded your fingers through his hair, pulling at the roots when he delivered a hard bite to the flesh just above your nipple.
“Miguel,” You cooed whenever he soothed the area with his tongue.
You were having trouble keeping your hips still, your pussy ready to be stretched. You could feel his cock heavy against your thigh, the stiff muscle practically throbbing.
Suddenly, Miguel’s hand grabbed your throat and met your gaze. He squeezed slightly, causing you to tense in barely concealed euphoria.
“You’re not allowed to cum without my permission.”
And then he was plunging himself up into your depths.
You cried out, caught off guard by the sudden intrusion and burst of pleasure that rocketed your body. There was a beautiful burning sensation, one that always accompanied the presence of Miguel’s cock inside you. You sat still against the multitude of sensations, attempting to listen to your husband’s demand.
“Move.” He commanded with a swift slap to your ass. You jumped, burrowing your head in his neck. Your walls thrummed at the sting of pain, squeezing him mercilessly. Your hips moved with a hesitating slowness. You were already so close to letting go and you didn’t want to anger Miguel further by disregarding his wishes. You rocked against him, feeling the brush of your clit against his pelvis. A litany of moans and whimpers flew past your lips, your controlled movements faltering.
“You know you have to do better than that, preciosa.” Miguel said disapprovingly, gentle hand cradling your neck.
A small whine left your lips. You knew he wouldn’t let you stall for long, intent on making you pay your debts.
You increased your pace, focusing on the feel of his cock sliding along your walls. You moved in the way he liked, squeezing around him intermittently. His hands were grabbing at your ass harshly, encouraging you to take him. You peppered his neck and face with kisses. You teased his earlobe with your teeth, producing a shutter from his tense body. His hips began to thrust up and meet yours, his impatience starting to show. You moaned at the feel of him penetrating deep, your arms tightening around his neck.
“You ready to cum?” He questioned against your lips, your ragged breaths mingling with his.
“Yes…” You replied, drawing out the word when he reached down to stroke your clit.
“Not yet.”
He slapped your pussy, the jolt making you tremor. You gasped and lifted yourself off of him, hurrying to release him from your walls before you came. Miguel watched you with an amused smirk, taking immense pleasure in your torture.
“Don’t run away from it.” He said with a shake of his head. Suddenly, he was lifting himself from the chair with you still gripped in his arms. He laid you on your back, sprawled against various professional documents. You arched off the cool surface, escaping the chill and seeking Miguel’s warmth. He held your legs open as he trapped you in a bruising kiss, grinding his cock against your soaked folds. His finger teased your clit, pulling a gasp from your mouth.
“Fuck me, please…” You begged desperately, tugging at the crisp button down he wore. You were pushing yourself against him, aligning your bodies so that he could feel your need, your yearning.
He looked down at you with a mixture of love and awe, fingers now edging along your cheek with tender strokes. “You are so fucking sexy like this, amor. Ready to do anything for my cock. Verdad?” He provoked, a tint of displeasure still coloring his words.
You nodded, feeling the head of his cock at your entrance. You tried to take him deeper inside you, but Miguel stopped you with a stern hand to your throat.
“Say it. Say you’re a whore.”
“I’m your whore.”
He laughed menacingly, his cock now slipping into your tight channel as he spoke. “You are. And you’re going to remember that from now on, right?”
“Yes, yes…” You chanted, agreeing with his words and actions.
“Good.”
And with a final push of his hips, he was fully sheathed inside you. He started up a brutal pace, the hidden muscles of his form holding you down as his prisoner. You dug your nails into the wood beneath you as your body moved with his, your desire once again building. His thrusts were punishing, the force of them painful. But the ecstasy soaring through your veins was overshadowing it all.
“Miguel…” You moaned, writhing against the continued assault of his cock to your inner walls. “Can I cum?”
His response was a sharp thrust of his hips, eliciting an anguished whimper from you.
“You think you should?”
“Yes…”
“Go ahead, my love.”
That was all you needed. Your toes curled and your spine stiffened as the rush of blood invaded your ears. You could hear your own heartbeat as spasms wracked your frame, limbs contorting around the man above you.
His thrusts didn’t let up as he continued to fuck you through your orgasm. He grunted in approval of your body’s response, losing himself in the feel of it. His fingertips dug into your thighs as he threw his head back in unbridled lust. His movements stuttered as he gave himself over to the sensation, filling your depths with a copious stream of warmth.
Miguel collapsed on top of you, breathless and lethargic. You cradled his head against your own heaving breasts, tangling your fingers in his dark strands.
“I don’t want to lose you. You’re mi reina…mi vida.” He whispered against your skin, his breath fanning across your nipple.
“I know, Miguel. I’m sorry. It won’t happen again.”
“Better not.” He said tiredly, though you could hear the smile in his voice. He pressed a chaste kiss to the underside of your breast and you sighed, content to stay that way.

FERNWEH | Part One Of The Eclipse Series
Pairing: Minho/Hayoon
Synopsis: Finding a new home was easy, making one was even harder. Yet Hayoon seems to find the feeling of comfort in a small cottage in the woods, in the arms of a stranger.
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6 | Part 7 | Part 8 | Part 9 | Part 10
The fire flickered in front of Hayoon but that wasn’t what was keeping her warm. The arms of her boyfriend were wrapped securely around her waist as she sat in his lap, the whole pack sitting around the fire. She’d spend an awful lot of time at the library today, by the time Johnny had come pick her up, Hayoon had nearly read every book on werewolves and moons the little old lady had to offer.
Minho’s hand began to rub over her back, his chin resting on her shoulder gently as they snuggled by the fire. Johnny and Jaehyun were laughing about something, while Jongin and Chanyeol were softly chatting to each other. It made Hayoon smile, the way it felt like home was just calming to her.
She turned to her lover, softly stroking the hair out of his face and pressing a soft kiss to his cheek. Minho smiled at the affection, holding her tighter and nuzzling his face up against her neck.
“Do you want to go inside?” Minho asked softly, “Johnny said you looked tired when he picked you up,”
Nodding softly, Hayoon stood up and held her hands out for him, “Come with me,”
“Of course,”
He slipped his arm around Hayoon’s shoulders as they walked back to the cabin, leaving the rest of the group to enjoy the night. Minho opened the back door of the cabin and walked inside first. She’d recognized it as a habit of Minho’s, summing it up to him ensuring the area was safe for her to walk into.
It wasn’t Hayoon’s first time in Minho’s room, she’d stayed with him before. But the night felt different, there was something coursing through Hayoon’s veins that was urging her to act. They usually slept in there underwear, as Minho’s body heat was enough to keep them warm underneath the blanket. Hayoon stripped down first and slipped under the thin sheet before Minho followed, slipping his arms around her waste.
She rested her hands on his chest, exhaling deeply while Minho smiled down at her. Hayoon’s stomach seemed to be aching with need, making her lean in and press her lips against his own. Minho feverishly returned the kiss, instantly cupping her cheeks and growling softly before he pulled away.
“Yoonie..,” He whispered softly, “Remember what you said,”
“I don’t want to wait any longer,” Hayoon whispered back, “I want this,”
Minho swallowed thickly, “It won’t be the same as if you were with a human, it will be different,”
“W-well..,” Hayoon pursed her lips, “I haven’t done i-it before, you know?”
A deep exhale left Minho’s mouth before he was pulled Hayoon in for another kiss, this one more rougher and primal. His hand went to her thigh, trapping it up against his hip as he climbed over the top of her. Hayoon’s hands were tangled in his hair, tugging on the ends softly.
Minho’s hands grasped her bra, pulling it straight off and discarding it. Hayoon pulled away, shocked at his actions while he simply smirked and latched onto her shoulder. A gentle cry left her lips as Minho left mark after mark, making his way up her neck before working back down her collar bone.
Her chest was weaving by the time he cupped her breast in his hands, pinching her nipples and biting his lip. She arched her back and whined, her leg pressing against his hip more.
As Minho kissed down Hayoon’s body, he stopped momentarily at the bottom of her stomach just before her waiting pussy. He hovered over the area, softly pressing a kiss against the skin and inhaling deeply before mumbling softly incoherent. Hayoon could only whine at him, the alpha wolf grinning as she did so.
Her legs were spread for him, his hands holding her legs open and exposing her heat to his hungry eyes. Minho licked his lips as he took in the sight, before leaning down and placing a lewd kiss against her clit. A cry pulled itself from Hayoon’s throat, her body wiggling and back arching off the bed as Minho began to lap his tongue against her pussy.
The sound was lewd and wet, his tongue working its way up her slit over and over again while his thumb rubbed against her clit. Hayoon had never experienced such pleasure, moans filling the air and urging Minho on. He loved the way she tasted on his tongue, pressing his mouth further against her cunt and toying with her entrance with his tongue.
“Minho..,” She whined loudly.
A growl was all she received, the sound travelling straight to her core and making her pussy convulse under Minho’s tongue. Hayoon’s hands went straight to his hair, her nails lightly digging into his scalp as she pressed his face further against her cunt. Her breathing picked up as the pleasure intensified, a long moan leaving her lips as her orgasm shot through her body. Minho grunted as her thighs pressed against his head, her hips lifting as he continuously usly stroked his tongue against her cunt.
Realisation came to her foggy brain once her orgasm had slowly passed, spreading her legs again and releasing Minho. He chuckled softly, licking her juices from his lips while Hayoon’s cheeks turned red.
“I-im sorry,” She quickly mumbled out.
“Never apologize,” Minho laughed as he stripped out of his underwear, “Not when you taste so fucking good,”
Somehow, Minho swearing made Hayoon bite her lip and more heat to flood to her core. Her eyes wandered down to his cock, which Minho was stroking slowly. It was long and thick, the tip already oozing with pre-cum that he was using as a lubricant. Hayoon’s mouth began to water, she wanted to know what he tasted like, what it would feel like to have his cock down her throat.
Minho leaned over and kissed her cheek, just below her eyes, “I know what your thinking but save that thought for another time,”
Hayoon pouted, while Minho leaned back and lined himself up with her entrance. She felt completely relaxed, her legs spread for him while his hot tip pressed against her entrance. A loud gasp left her mouth as he pressed himself in suddenly, a full feeling overwhelming Hayoon.
He held her waist, hushing her softly while Hayoon adjusted to his size. She squirmed underneath him momentarily, her hands holding onto his shoulders.
“Big..,” Hayoon mumbled out.
“Just breathe,” Minho kissed her cheeks, “It gets better, I promise,”
Exhaling slowly, Hayoon whined as Minho slowly moved his hips and slipped his cock out slightly. There was an ache in her stomach, that subsided once he slide his cock back into her heat.
“Keep going..,” Hayoon whined.
“I’ll be gentle,” Minho said whispered.
The thrusts started slow, Hayoon’s legs shaking as she held his shoulders and kept her eyes squeezed shut. Minho rubbed soft circles into her waist as he shifted his hips up into her.
The ache was soon replaced with pleasure, Hayoon moaning with each exhale. Minho growled softly at the sound, burying his face in her neck and kissing her shoulder.
Hayoon nodded slowly, her fingers tangling with his hair once Minho thrusted particularly hard. A pleasurable feeling filled her body and pulled a loud moan from her lips.
“Minho..,” She moaned, “I want more..,”
“Are you sure?” Minho asked softly, “I won’t hold back..,”
“Please..,” Hayoon softly cupped his cheeks, “I want all of you,”
The alpha male growled, his hips bucking hard and Hayoon cried out into the night air. Minho was shaking as he began to fasten his pace, hands grasping her thighs and pushing them up to her chest.
Hayoon gripped the sheets, whines and moans sounding in the air.
“My mate..,” Minho growled, “Give you my pups..,”
“Minho..,” Hayoon shivered, “Please..,”
Growling, Minho fucked up into her cunt and latched his lips onto her tits. Hayoon let out a slight squeal, her legs shaking as she gripped onto the back of his neck. He stopped for a moment, his cock buried deep inside her heat and Hayoon whined at the contact. She had an inch that needed to be scratched.
“Let me give you my pups,” Minho whispered, “Say it..,”
“G-give me your pups..,” Hayoon shivered, “Minho, I need..,”
“Tell me..,” Minho hissed, “Fuck, tell me what you need..,”
“I need you!” Hayoon cried out, wiggling her hips, “You make me feel good! Minho, please..,”
His thrusts started again, cock sliding in and out of her wet pussy. Hayoon cried out at the sudden contact, her orgasm suddenly hitting and rolling through her body. Minho licked her neck slowly as he fucked her through the pleasure, before biting down.
There was a loud moan, Hayoon’s body tensing up as Minho was latched onto her neck. His thrusts slowed down before Minho’s cock pressed into her pussy again, a warmth filling her abdomen.
Minho breathed out deeply as his cum soaked Hayoon’s walls, keeping his cock pressed deep into her. She ran her fingers through his hair while Minho looked down at her.
“I can’t pull out..,” Minho whispered.
“What?” Hayoon panted, “Is that a wolf thing?”
Sheepishly, Minho nodded and kissed her forehead, “It’s called a knot, helps keep all the cum in you,”
“I’m not on birth control,” Hayoon whispered.
He shivered at her words, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. Hayoon blinked at him softly, looking slightly confused.
“Yoonie..,” He purred, “That’s perfect..,”
She giggled at his words and pulled him close, cuddling into his warm body. Minho snuggled up against her, breathing in her scent and smiling to himself.
A knock on the bedroom door made Minho growl.
“You two don’t need to be so loud!” Chanyeol called through the door, “We all heard!”
Hayoon’s cheeks went bright pink before Minho rolled his eyes, kissing her neck.
“Don’t worry about that,” Minho reassured her, “Nothings really a secret in this house,”

➳ description: A blind date gone wrong, no biggie right? Not if he’s the head inspector of the Homicide Division you just got transferred into.

⇒ a/n: for @channiechanchan ♡ happy birthday, mi grandma ♡ & brownie points if any of you get the movie inspo ☆
When someone says “star-crossed lovers”, one immediately thinks of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. The pair of lovers were thwarted by bad luck, fate meddling with their actions every step of the way.
When someone says “star-crossed lovers”, you immediately think of the story between the sun and moon. During those fleeting moments at dawn and dusk, the sun fell madly in love with the moon. But the moon knows. She knows that they will never be together because their love goes against the entire universe. Another fate mishap.
But your hapless fate topped all of the above.
When your sergeant walked up to your desk, littered with crumpled balls of paper and unwashed coffee mugs, you started to feel nauseous for some apparent reason. Probably due to anxiety or that bad muffin you had for breakfast.
“Y/N?”
“Yes, ma’am?” You breathed out, feeling an odd, fluttery sensation in your stomach. You had a habit of growing nervous at even the most minuscule of situations.
An unreadable smile spread across her cheeks, and she placed a file down on your desk. “I have reviewed your application as well as your qualifications, and Chief and I have come to a mutual consensus. You will be transferred over to the Homicide Division as an assistant inspector.” She announced the good news.
“Ma’am, are you serious? I’m being transferred?” You asked again to make sure your ears weren’t betraying you. She replied with a small nod, and a goofy smile emerged on your face.
“Don’t sound too excited just yet. You’ll have a lot of cases to review, and I know for a fact that Inspector Bang won’t go easy on you.”
“I won’t let you and Chief down! I’ll- wait...Inspector Bang? I thought it was Inspector Park this entire time. That’s why I requested a transfer weeks ago,” you said, and you wondered why the bureau would switch out such an experienced detective like her.
Your sergeant tapped the wooden desk in front of her. “Inspector Park retired. It was about time too. Also, we don’t take back our decisions. That would be such a shame and disrespect if you reject your promotion now, Y/N.”
“No,” you answered immediately. “It’d be my pleasure to work under Inspector Bang. I just expected Inspector Park, that’s all.” Even if this was a different inspector, that shouldn’t change your desire to work in the Homicide Division.
“Don’t worry. You’ll get along with Chan. Funny story. You’re about the same age too.” Sergeant Oh humored, walking away from your cubicle.
Chan. Inspector Bang. Bang Chan. It sounded all too familiar. Specifically “last night” familiar.
»»————————-««
“HAN JISUNG. OUT OF EVERYONE YOU KNEW, WHY DID YOU SET ME UP WITH HIM? WHY?” You shouted at your best friend, who was currently seated on your living room couch, with orange juice in a wine glass.
A complete waste of a nice wine glass.
Jisung feigned an innocent expression and opened his mouth to say, “Y/N, you should know this. All my close friends are from work, and to be fair, Chan fits the description of your ideal type best.” He gave you a “duh” face and walked over to the bar in the center of your kitchen, grabbing the bag of half-opened chips before settling back onto the couch.
“I’ll be so dead when I transfer in.” You sighed and took the remote control from him, scrolling through Netflix mindlessly.
“What exactly happened on the blind date?” He asked, and you turned towards him with a pillow on your lap, preparing yourself for a long story time.
(FLASHBACK)
Jisung gritted his teeth as he prepared to leave the restaurant, leaving you stranded in unexplored territory. “Be nice to him this time, c’mon.”
You mentally groaned and became speechless. This was the third date Jisung had set up. On one hand, you’re completely flattered for such a caring and thoughtful friend. And on the other hand, you just want to wrangle the life out of him because you hated blind dates, for several reasons actually.
One.
What if the guy were some pathological liar? You worked in the police department, and you’ve seen many cases with date rape and instances where the guy would try to drug the girl or vice versa. Dates with complete strangers rarely ended up well, and not to mention extremely risky.
Two.
Some guys were just cocky and arrogant, much like the first guy Jisung tried setting you up with. He spent literally half the meal bragging about his project of the year; he was the CEO of a rising tech company, and he wouldn’t shut up about his data analysis. You completely understood that it was alright to be proud of something you had spent much time and effort on, but seriously? Two hours into a date and you’re still discussing HTML? Gosh, eat a chill pill.
Three.
You would rather stay at home and eat food like the couch potato you were meant to be. In the end, nothing beats the comfort of home. You’re alone, and the soft ambience of the kitchen lamp soothes you. Some people may find it lonely, but you loved your little apartment with your bag of chips by your side, a place you call your haven.
Four.
You wanted to deal with this petty heartbreak on your own. It was quite annoying, actually. Every time you thought about dating, you remembered how he used to hold your hand. How he used to press his fingers on your skin and his mouth onto yours as you kissed him underneath the dim street lights in front of your apartment. You remembered how he would grab your hand as if it were the most important thing in his life, leading you to the most unromantic of places, like the train tracks, and you loved it. And most irritable of all, you remembered how he would drop kisses on your neck and whisper sweet nothings in your ear whenever you felt down.
Jisung was adamant about you finding someone, and he wasn’t planning on giving up.
And in the end, it looked like you had completely neglected reasons number one to four as you stood in front of the restaurant, on yet another blind date.
“Oh, Chan says to meet him at his hotel room above the restaurant. He just moved from Australia, and he’s barely getting his apartment renovated. The hotel’s his home for the meantime,” Jisung explained, and his voice was soft and serious, almost as if the person you were meeting was important to him.
You wrapped your arms around yourself and eyed him weirdly. “What if he tries something on me? I’m in the police force, you know? You’ll be an accomplice too if something bad happens to me.” You responded, swiftly retorting as you jeopardized his job in the forensics lab.
“Just listen to me, you inconsiderate prick. Chan meets all of your standards, I swear. He won’t treat you like the last guy did.”
He hit a sensitive topic, and you closed your eyes, deciding to give this Chan guy a chance.
“Fine. What room is it?”
Jisung lifted an index finger and pointed up. “Fifth floor. Room 507,” he said, and you rolled your eyes, pushing through the glass doors that led to both the lobby and the restaurant.
You glanced right, and the restaurant was bustling with people, waiters and waitresses serving guests left and right. If only you were in the restaurant. Instead, you were headed up to a complete stranger’s room and accommodating to his needs.
Walking straight ahead into the already opened elevator doors, you felt a soft collision with your right elbow as files scattered on the floor.
“I’m so sorry. I wasn’t watching where I was going,” you apologized, picking up the files and sorting them into a neat pile. The elevator doors closed, and you quickly scooted the files away from the doors.
“You should really pay more attention, miss.” He replied, sounding almost annoyed at the little mishap. He bent down and attempted to sort his files back into place, his fingers accidentally brushing over yours unintentionally.
If it weren’t for his snide attitude, you would have swooned over his charming Australian accent and smooth voice. But personality wins over something as superficial as voice.
When you finished, you pursed your lips in a thin line as you handed him his files back. The guy merely grabbed them from your hands without a polite “thank you” or an acknowledging nod.
What a jerk.
“What floor?” The jerk decided to ask, his hand reaching towards the buttons.
You responded promptly, not wanting to stay in the elevator any longer with this rude bastard. “Fifth.”
He simply pressed the button and returned to where he was standing previously, with one arm securely around his files.
Guess he was going to the fifth floor too.
Your eyes started to wander and for some reason, they landed on his reflection through the metal doors of the lift. The rude jerk was wearing a white long sleeve button up, framing his broad shoulders perfectly, with a pair of tailored black pants. He also had on a pair of comfortable black shoes and a black silk tie securely tied around the collar of his crisp white shirt. His hair was an ebony black, a stark contrast against his pale skin. His features were pronounced, especially his tall nose bridge where his circular specks sat comfortably on. Circular specks were hard to pull off, but this jerk managed to make them look nice.
Squinting slightly, you tried to make out his face as you mentally scolded yourself for forgetting to wear contact lenses. Despite that, you saw him roll his eyes at you, and you scoffed under your breath. Was he cocky enough to think that you were checking him out?
Okay, maybe you were, but not the point.
Not only did you have a blind date to attend, you had to deal with this impolite guy in your current field of vision. Why was the elevator moving so darn slow? Maybe it was a sign to bail on this blind date.
Before you could even finish your thoughts, the doors opened, leading you and the stranger to the fifth floor. The douche beside you shoved you lightly out of the way before you stepped out, knocking his shoulder against yours. What person in the right mind would shove someone out of the way? Was he late for a wedding or something?
But you knew Jisung wouldn’t set you up with a rude bastard like him.
You huffed and stepped out after him, looking for the room number. Checking the numbers on the doors, you turned left as you heard a door slam in the distance. You rolled your eyes for the nth time this evening, and it was all because of the nasty encounter. You quickly made your way to Room 507, following the noise of the loud slam.
Right as you lifted your hand to knock on the door, you received a call from Jisung.
“Where are you?” He asked just as you answered the call, his voice urgent and confused.
“What,” you responded simply.
You heard your friend let out a soft sigh. “Chan just complained that you’re taking forever. How long does it take for you to go up to the room?”
Closing your eyes, you let an inherent, loud puff of air escape your lips. “I bumped into some jerk, and his files scattered everywhere. Then I had to pick them up,” you replied briefly, not wanting to revisit the whole elevator scene.
“Just hurry up, Y/N.”
You hung up and slid your phone into your back pocket as you knocked on the polished white door in front of you.
“It’s open.” An oddly familiar voice shouts.
Not thinking much of it, you slowly twisted the handle and was immediately greeted with a beautiful, l-shaped leather couch. Facing you was the entire skyline displayed through the enormous glass windows in front of you. The suite was dimly lit as if Chan had just walked in and wasn’t planning on staying for long. This Chan guy was pretty well off if he was able to afford such a luxurious suite.
As you stood there admiring the hotel room that you could never afford, a voice spoke up, breaking your daydream. “Sorry, I was running a bit late.”
That Australian accent.
You twirled around to see the same prick from the elevator, only this time, he was ten times more attractive, if that was even possible.
He wasn’t wearing the white dress shirt from before nor did he have those geeky specks on his face. The jerk was wearing a grey oversized hoodie with a black shirt underneath, and instead of the boring slacks from before, he was wearing ripped black skinnies. They were fitted, and you hated how he pulled off the effortless boyfriend look.
Also, scratch the formal shiny shoes. He had on a pair of worn out Vans. And his hair, it was perfect. You never liked it when a guy’s hair was gelled and tampered with. You preferred the messy, casual look, and this jerk’s hair was the epitome of that. Soft curls sat on top of his head nicely, making you feel the urge to suddenly run your fingers through them.
You could finally make out his face. Like you had previously thought, his features were definitely pronounced: clear eyes, tall nose, full lips, and were those dimples? Jisung definitely knew your ideal type.
Chan smiled as he fixed his hair, his natural curls emerging after a long day of work, but once he saw you, his smile faltered.
“Oh, I’m the one taking forever huh?” You remarked, eyeing him with utter disapproval.
“You’re the one who dropped my files,” he said, glaring in your direction.
You scoffed again, writing yourself a mental note to call Jisung afterward and scream at him for setting you up with an inconsiderate little twerp. This guy was ridiculous; he was the one who wanted to meet in the hotel room instead of the restaurant in the first place.
“Are you ready to go now?” You asked him, placing emphasis on the “now”.
“I don’t know. Are you done ogling my place?” Chan retorted with a smirk on his face. Gosh, you wanted the wipe that perfect smirk off his good-looking face.
Without replying, you forced a fake smile on your face and walked towards the entrance of his suite. Chan grabbed the hotel card on the slot insert and rushed after you, the lights turning off in the process.
“Wait up, Y/N.” He chuckled at you as you neared the elevator. That was the first time he said your name, and you quite liked how your name rolled off his tongue. Maybe it was just the whole accent thing.
You stopped walking and narrowed your eyes at him. “How do you know my name?”
“I make sure I know basic stuff about my date before I agree to the date. What if you’re some crazy serial killer? Yikes.” Chan shrugged as he pressed the “down” button on the elevator.
“Slightly creepy, but with good intentions,” you replied, shifting stances as the two of you waited for the elevator to come back up.
After what seemed like a million years, the elevator finally opened, and Chan made a kind gesture signaling you to step in. “Ladies first,” he directed, leaning in with hands stuffed into the pockets of his hoodie.
You rolled your eyes at him. Who was the one who shoved you out the elevator fifteen minutes ago? And who was this womanizer in front of you right now? Complete nonsense. You bet loads of women fall for his charming accent and attractive smirk, but you weren’t giving into his “too good to be true” facade.
“Did you make a reservation?” You asked as the elevator doors closed, breaking the silence from before.
“Yeah, for two.”
The process of walking in and getting seated was brief, and the view wasn’t as bad as you previously suspected. The sky was dark and the street lights were on, giving the sidewalk an ethereal glow. It was an aesthetic view.
Chan smirked and laced his hands on top of the table in front of you, his napkin neatly across his lap. You took notice and quickly did the same. Can’t have your date thinking that you were a total slob.
“So...what’s your favorite color?” You asked out of the blue. You wanted to strike a conversation, just so this date wouldn’t be as shitty.
“Give it a rest, Y/N. I don’t think we’ll be seeing each other after this.” He cut you off abruptly.
You clenched your jaw and stared him square in the eyes. “Look. I just want to shift gears and change the topic from me slandering you to something random, like colors or seasons. And Jisung tried really hard to set me up on a date with you.”
Chan held his hands up and apologized. “You’re right. I’m sorry. It’s been a long day, and I just moved here. I’m just overwhelmed by the piles of paperwork I need to catch up on,” he responded earnestly.
That was a first.
You cracked a small smile and made eye contact with the waitress, who was preparing the take your order.
“Hello sir, may I take your order?” She smiled shyly at Chan and batted her lashes in the most dramatic manner, her blouse buttoned lower than appropriate.
“Actually, I would like two plates of chicken alfredo with a side of soup. Also, I believe this is a Michelin-rated restaurant, and public indecency is condemned here. So button up your shirt and stop flirting with my boyfriend.” You finished your order and smirked, closing the menu in your hands.
The waitress glared at you with reddened cheeks. She scribbled down the order harshly and stormed off into the kitchen.
“Wow. Boyfriend huh? I didn’t know you claimed me as yours already,” Chan said, that same infamous dimpled smirk on his face.
Your smirk immediately faded as a bored face replaced it. “Don’t get too cocky, Bang Chan. I just can’t stand indecent people, much like yourself.”
(END OF FLASHBACK)
“YOU INSULTED HIM? Damn, this is bad.” Jisung got up from the couch and abandoned the chips, pacing back and forth in your living room.
“YEAH, maybe next time, you’ll set me up with a guy who’s not my FUTURE BOSS. Oh wait, this is the last time I’m going on these blind dates because I’m done. And to think you knew what kind of guy I liked.” You hissed as you crossed your arms in front of your chest, feeling unsettled about tomorrow.
Chan was the head inspector of the Homicide Division and knowing him, he wasn’t going to treat you well. You mustered up a tense smile, thinking that there were probably heaps of paperwork sitting on his desk, hundreds of cases to look through. Looks like you were going to spend more nights at the precinct.
Jisung sighed. “If you get fired on the first day, at least you’ll know why.”
“I know. I called him ‘indecent’. I’m screwed aren’t I?” You trailed on, repressing the memories of the blind date. You threw your body onto the couch and thrashed angrily; Jisung wasn’t even fazed by your reaction, because if he were in your shoes, he would have reacted the same way.
Shit. Why did he have to be Chan?
»»————————-««
You looked back at Changbin, a fellow inspector from the Homicide Department, one last time with a distressed expression on your face, praying that he would get you out of this mess. He shrugged and shook his head helplessly. The jerk was probably his superior too.
Chan’s office was in front of you, and you were more than ready to get fired. You read the placard on the door several times, double checking that this was actually real and not a reoccurring nightmare.
Walking through the doors, you took a deep breath, ready to get fired.
“Hi, my name is Y/N. I’ll be your new assistant inspector, sir.” You mumbled quickly as your eyes fixated on the wooden desk in front, unable to meet his eyes.
Although your eyes were cast down, you could feel his intense stare, daggers hitting your every nerve. You nibbled on your bottom lip due to nervousness as he failed to give you a response. Frankly, he didn’t say a word.
“Tsk,” he started. “Make eye contact with me when you’re introducing yourself. Don’t be such a rookie, Y/N. I can’t have a rookie working as my assistant inspector.”
“Are you going to fire me now?” You responded quietly. When it came to your job, you took it very seriously. You didn’t go through years of schooling to work at some convenience store, and plus, crime scene investigation was actually something you enjoyed. As much as you disliked Chan, your job was a priority.
Chan was taken back by this sudden change. This wasn’t your usual audacious attitude. Who was this demure girl in front of him?
“I’m not going to fire you.” He said, getting up from his desk as he walked towards you, cornering you against the bookshelf. Your breath caught itself in your throat as the proximity between you and Chan lessened drastically. Chan pulled you by your arm, his hand firmly encircling your wrist, and crashed his body against yours. “Firing you would be too easy. I’m going to give you a hard time, Y/N.”
“And that means you’re going to want to quit,” he finished.
“What’s your problem?” You hissed at the sudden contact, struggling to rotate your arm out of his strong grasp. On the exterior, you seemed calm, your cheeky attitude emerging. On the inside, you felt stiff as a board, your heartbeat hammering in your rib cage. You were sure your face had at least grown five shades redder, and if it weren’t for Chan pressing his body against you, your knees would have given away.
Chan tilted his head and smirked. “You’re in my way,” he said. He reached up behind you and pulled out five thick portfolios, each with at least thirty pages in them. He let go of your wrist and dropped the files on his desk with a loud thud.
“What are those?” You asked, rubbing your wrist.
“Those,” he said, placing his hands on your shoulders and turning you to face the files. “Are the cases you have to solve,” Chan insisted.
You shoved his hands off and leaned down to measure the thickness of the files. You then turned around and held the thickness in front of his face; it had to be at least half an inch thick. “Are you shitting me? You’re saying that I have to solve these cases alone?” You gaped in disbelief. Gosh, he was infuriating.
“Precisely. By next week.”
“Are you kidding me? I just transferred here.”
He smiled, his eyes twinkling mischievously as he tilted your chin upwards with two of his fingers. “You wanted the job didn’t you?” He retorted, his tone a lot softer than his words.
Chan pursed his lips and considered, “You know what? I’ll help you.”
What did he just say? Did he just say the words “I’ll help you”? And before you could even stare in awe, he walked behind you and picked up the files, shoving them into your hands.
“You’re welcome.” He smiled fakely as he pushed you out his office, slamming the door behind you.
A stray hair fell before your eyes, and you blew the piece of hair away in annoyance. You tightened your grip on your portfolios until your knuckles became white.
“I mean, at least you’re not fired.”
The comment came from Changbin, who only had two portfolios on his desk. You, on the other hand, had a whopping five in your hands, each filled with nothing but headaches.
»»————————-««
Apparently, the Homicide Division had a sleep study, something you didn’t know even existed in bureaus. Changbin had informed you that many investigators often spent nights in the sleep study, looking over cases and analyzing data, trying to look for patterns and trends.
You placed your box and duffel bag (which Jisung had the common courtesy to run back to your apartment and fetch your belongings) on the empty desk in the corner of the room. Above the desk, there was a cork board and pins, along with a whiteboard in front of the room, blank canvases to work with. The simple layout excited you; it was all beginning to feel like you were a part of some CSI television show.
The room had four bunk beds, and all of them had different bed sheets. Changbin had mentioned that his was the black one with white dots, and there were two others with blue sheets and grey sheets. You assumed the unmade bed was yours, right below the one with grey sheets.
Deciding to deal with the bedding later, you threw the duffel bag on the mattress and removed the lid of the box, carefully taking out the five thick portfolios. You turned on the lamp and pulled out a pen as you sat down on the metal chair, crossing your legs comfortably underneath the table.
“Let’s get these cases over with.” You huffed and shifted your sitting position, an elbow propped on the desk with a pen twirling in your hand.
Three out of the five were pretty regular murders, each with their own set of fingerprints and a concrete list of suspects. You dug deeper, and at least one of the suspects in each of the three cases matched the descriptions and the fingerprints, pretty straightforward. As for the motives, all of them were driven either by revenge or an obvious motive, like money. Killing someone was probably the murderers’ tipping points, having no previous criminal record or charges.
The fourth one caught your attention. The suspected killer was in high school? You’ve seen cases like this before, and it was usually a case of bullying which led the victim to commit suicide. Strange, it didn’t belong to the Homicide Department.
“What are you doing here?” A familiar voice in an evil, yet endearing accent asked.
You held a finger up, yawned, then proceeded. “I’m looking through the cases you assigned me to. Am I doing something wrong, Inspector Bang?” Chan looked better after work. Instead of the suffocating CEO attire, he wore simple black jeans and a plaid t-shirt underneath his black leather jacket.
“Yes. Go to the library. The sleep study is for sleeping and group collabs, not for analyzing cases you were just assigned to.” Chan responded, his tone serious and stern. He wasn’t playing cheeky this time.
“Chill. It’s just some bullying case. This file doesn’t even belong in this department.”
Chan scoffed, “You clearly didn’t analyze the case well enough then.” He raised a perfect eyebrow and crossed his arms in front of his chest. “Bullies hurt others to make themselves feel big, and granted, it may lead to the suicide of the victim if it goes overboard. Psychopaths hurt others to get what they want. Obviously, you haven’t even touched the third page.”
You gritted your teeth and flipped the page harshly, eyes skimming over the post-it notes and evidence on the page. There had been video footage of the high school student shoving the victim off the rooftop; it indeed was a homicide case.
“Wait, so the murderer pushed the victim off because he was envious of his life?”
“Hence, psychopath. He wanted him dead because he hated seeing him every single day in class. Psychopaths feel no remorse, for they lack the ability to experience emotions. You’d be surprised at the amount of time they train themselves in front of the mirror to teach themselves how to act human because they possess nothing of it,” Chan explained, instilling new information in your head. Jerk or no jerk, he was good at his job. “Also, the last case, Y/N. You might want to hit the library for that one.”
You blinked in confusion. “Why? I can’t be reading books if I want to find patterns and hidden traces of evidence,” you said, not following what he was telling you.
Chan sat down on your mattress and leaned his elbows on his knees, lacing his hands together.
“The previous four cases were basically solved, with evidence all pointing at the top suspect. The killers’ motives were clear too, each elicited by either revenge or hatred. All you needed to do was the piece the evidence together, then case closed. This one’s different. It requires a more literary analysis,” Chan said, his eyes averting from yours and onto the last unopened file on your desk.
“How so?” You swallowed the lump in your throat. Why was there a sudden nervousness emerging from the pit of your stomach?
Chan’s eyes flickered up to meet yours, fear evident in his gaze.
“He’s not done killing yet.”
»»————————-««
“The press calls him ‘The Sinner’, and he’s been killing since last month. A murder a week on the same exact day and we don’t have any whereabouts,” Chan explained, running his fingers along the books on the shelf.
He had managed to drag you along to the library with him. It wasn’t too bad, since you wanted to know more about The Sinner, and Chan was the best person to hear it from.
“I mean, ‘The Sinner’ is kind of an obvious serial killer name for anyone who commits murders. A killing a week? That’s insane, and how has he not left any fingerprints or slip-ups? Unless he chartered a ghost to kill for him.” You commented, trying to alleviate the solemn atmosphere.
Guess it didn’t work.
Chan rolled his eyes, eyeing you as if you were some clueless idiot. “You’re a miracle, really. He’s called ‘The Sinner’ because he justifies his crimes using the world’s ignorance of the Seven Deadly Sins. This twisted bastard believes that he received a sermon from a heavenly being, prompting him to rid of the sins in this world.”
 “So he kills people who characterize themselves as the sins like, for example, a prostitute would probably be lust,” you deduced, slowly grasping the understanding of the case.
“Yes, and you would have to do some research regarding the modus operandi of the killer. You have to get inside his mindset and see what’s his motive for killing these innocent people.” Chan removes a few books from the shelves and stuffs them into your arms. “You’re here to do research, so there,” he smirked.
His asshole persona was back. You almost missed when he was in work mode.
Your eyes darted back and forth; the library was closing and the desk lamps were slowly dimming one by one.
Chan took notice of your silence and asked, “What? Afraid of the dark?”
“How-how many crimes did ‘The Sinner’ commit?” You stuttered as you scooted closer to Chan. You hated talking about death in such a dark atmosphere, your sixth sense messing with your nerves.
If these innocent victims were deemed sinners by the killer because they tainted the surface of Earth for obvious reasons like sloth or gluttony, then wouldn’t he be considered one of them too? He was the one doing the killing himself, a guaranteed sinner in every aspect. He doesn’t let the innocent slide, so there’s no way he would let himself off the hook either.
“Five. Pride, greed, lust, gluttony, and sloth.”
You placed the books on the shelf and grabbed the top book, followed by dragging Chan’s hand to the nearest table. Setting down the book, you flipped to the table of contents and located the list of the Seven Deadly Sins.
“There’s only wrath and envy left. The serial killer either represents wrath or envy, but my bet’s on envy.” You pointed out, your determined eyes searching Chan’s for validation. This was your first homicide case, and it would be great if your deduction mirrored the killer’s methodology.
“You’re actually not as dumb as I originally thought,” he said, earning a scoff from you. “My bet’s also on envy. This guy is an obsessive freak, and as you can tell from the pictures, the murders were all staged in a very particular manner. Clues were left in very intentional places, like in the victim’s mouth or neck. The sick bastard is playing us, and he knows that we’re only one step behind him. Plus, he’s not going to kill a random stranger on the street unless that person meant something to him. He exemplifies envy, which means that wrath is the last sin.”
Your eyes lit up. “That means that he’s going to deviate from his trend and kill, or threaten to kill, someone important to ‘wrath’.”
“Right. And if ‘wrath’ decides to kill him, then ‘envy’ is taken care of, completing the Seven Deadly Sins.”
“No? Then ‘wrath’ would still be alive. It’s not complete yet.”
Chan flicked your forehead and spoke, “Are you dumb, or are you dumb? If someone killed the person you loved the most, would you necessarily be alive? No. You become something similar to the living dead. You’re alive, but you lack liveliness.”
You rubbed the sore spot on your forehead and scowled. “But the question is, who does he envy? Who represents wrath?”
“Well, who has the capability of killing him in an instant? Who is he playing games with?”
“The detectives,” you breathed out, the entire library suddenly spinning. Your head was pounding upon the realization that you could be “wrath”.
Chan clenched his jaw and took out his cell phone, calling a number on speed dial.
“CG, this is Inspector Bang. We’ve figured it out. ‘The Sinner’ could be targeting anyone in the Homicide Division. I need you to have all of our families under lock-down and twenty-four-hour undercover police supervision. I’ll fax over the detailed report regarding this matter as soon as I get back to the precinct.”
You pressed your fingers on top of your closed eyes and sighed. This was your first day on your job, and this happens. You were a big, fat red target for Korea’s most notorious serial killer.
»»————————-««
Chan swiftly took careful strides back to the precinct  – being overly cautious and stressed about the current situation the two of you were in. Wasting no time at all, Chan located your figure lagging behind him and grabbed your arm, pulling you in front of him.
“Walk in front of me. I get uneasy when people walk in back of me,” he ordered, letting go of your limp arm as soon as you were safely in front.
You obliged without your usual snarky comment or eye roll, feeling far too anxious about The Sinner. Even though this was your first day as the assistant inspector, you were sure that killer knew; he knew everything. Like Chan said, he was a step ahead of the game.
“Y/N, go take your duffel bag and stay with me.” Chan placed a hand on your shoulder, noticing your worried demeanor. You widened your eyes, wondering if he had been possessed by an angel, before speaking softly.
“Chan, you’re my boss. You’re not obligated to cover for me. If I’m his target, and he hurts my family, I’ll deal with it on my own.”
You felt sick at the thought of The Sinner going after your parents and your younger brother, who was currently still in high school. Especially your brother Jeongin.
“I’m your boss, so I take responsibility if you get hurt, or any of your family members. My family is not in Korea right now, so it’d be hard for him to target overseas. You, Changbin, and Felix are probably at risk.” His eyes bore into yours, and his hands were now resting comfortably on your shoulders.
Your eyes watered involuntarily, and without a doubt, you had started to fall for Chan. Despite his asshole side, he had a caring side too, and you hated the fact that he was right. You didn’t like relying on people, and this definitely hurt your reputation and pride. Heaving a sigh, you looked back at his dark, intoxicating eyes.
“Fine. I’ll grab my duffel bag. Can you make sure that there are undercover police officers inside my parent’s house? In case the killer decides to show up? If I can’t be there myself, I want to know that they’re safe,” you negotiated, making Chan unfold a small smile in return.
»»————————-««
Chan pulled up outside the driveway of his renovated apartment – the black iron gates opening upon his arrival, leading the two of you into a secluded complex. You felt tiny little butterflies fluttering and dropping into a mosh pit in the bottom of your stomach, feeling overwhelmed with the current living situation. You had never lived with any man other than your father or uncle, not even your ex. And definitely not Chan.
Coincidentally, despite you viewing him as a womanizer, Chan had never spent one night alone with a female.
You were the first.
He parked the car in the small parking complex below his apartment, right outside his balcony. At that moment, he felt a rush of nervousness course through his veins. Perhaps, he too had found you intriguing after the elevator encounter two nights ago.
“It’s getting late. Are you tired?” Chan asked, clicking his seatbelt off. You were unresponsive, so he leaned over and removed your seat belt, breaking you from your reverie.
“Huh? Oh yeah, a little. I’ll be better after I eat and plop asleep. My mind’s a mess right now,” you replied, dragging your aching body out of his car. Chan opened the trunk and carried your duffel bag out of the trunk before locking the doors. He handed you the bag.
What’s he so nice for?
You pondered but took the bag from his hands. Chan pressed a series of numbers and inserted a key to his lock, twisting it in a full circle until you heard a click. As soon as you stepped inside his apartment, the lights turned on automatically, the simplistic yet elegant light fixtures warming the rooms. The apartment had definitely been renovated, with the fresh smell of paint and the pristine condition it was in.
“The smell of paint is still there, but if it bothers you too much, you can sleep in the living room. Don’t open the windows. You know why.” Chan informed you as he locked the front door shut.
You nod silently in response, eyes darting around the brightly lit room, to the portraits hung on the walls, to the minimalist decor.
“You’re pretty much free to use anything, as long as you pay interest,” Chan said, adding the last bit with a sly smile.
“Yes,” you replied, not really paying attention to what he was saying. “Wait, what? What interest?” You snapped back, suddenly realizing what he had said previously.
Chan laughed and rolled his eyes. “I was testing you. Seems like my intuition was right, you weren’t listening to me. Anyways, take the bedroom to the right down the hall on your left.” Chan had two bedrooms; one he planned on using for sleeping, and the other was probably a guest room or an office. He offered you the one for sleeping.
“Oh, thanks.” You responded, taking your duffel bag and walking towards the short hallway. Stopping abruptly, you turned to face him.
“Are you sleeping in the bedroom on the left?”
Chan smiled ardently and wiggled his eyebrows. “Why? Are you planning on joining me?” He challenged, his voice laced with a tinge of flirtation that made your cheeks blush a darker shade of red.
“You pervert! I just have trouble sleeping in new places, and you happen to be the most familiar thing in this entire apartment. I just wanted to know where you were for me to be at ease,” you confessed, your voice getting lower and lower at the end of the statement. Your sentence came out timid, much to your surprise.
Your inspector bit his lip to prevent himself from grinning – you were too cute for your own good. Chan knew you were scared of the serial killer, your worries a fiasco thus adding onto your anxiety. Since you were staying with him, Chan felt more at ease because you were safer under his supervision than any other person. Changbin and Felix had each other, but you were a new transfer – he could relax more knowing that you were sleeping soundly in the next room.
“Whatever you say, Y/N.” Chan walked over to his bathroom and grabbed a towel from the closet. “Goodnight.” With that, he stepped inside and locked the door.
You shut your eyes tightly, placing a hand on your chest to calm your palpitating heart. Why did he have such an effect on you? Even the last bastard you dated didn’t have this effect on you. Your last relationship stayed in the honeymoon phase and went downhill from there, but Chan left you wanting more.
»»————————-««
Of course.
Jisung packed clothes that made you look like a complete bum.
You shook your head and pulled out your shirts one by one. The prick knew you were sleeping over at the sleep study, initially, and he packed baggy shirts and shorts. Couldn’t he have the decency to at least pack a neat set of pajamas? You emptied out your entire bag, flipping it over and tossing out the contents.
“Han Jisung. You complete idiot...you forgot my teddy bear.” You mumbled, checking the pockets and compartments on the side. You sat on the bed and threw a small tantrum, texting your dumb friend.
He responded immediately with a shrugging emoji, making you hiss in disbelief.
Ten years of friendship and he forgets your teddy bear, the most crucial thing that saved your sleeping pattern. Deciding to forgive him after a long day, you grabbed a baggy t-shirt and a pair of basketball shorts, finally getting undressed for the night. Before long, you slipped into the clean white sheets of Chan’s bed, his scent enveloping you like a blanket, a mixture of vanilla and pine, a pleasant musk. You snuggled deeper into the feathered pillows and closed your eyes as you pictured your body floating on fluffy clouds.
In less than a minute, your eyes shot wide open. Soon after seconds bled into minutes and minutes bled into an hour; you couldn’t sleep, constantly tossing and turning in bed – your mind filled with the serial killer and other random events – and obviously Chan who was sleeping in the room across the hall. You wondered, pulling the covers up to your chin and rolling onto your side, if Chan were already asleep. When he was asleep, did he look more angelic? Or did he still have the bitch face he had on during your first encounter?
You coughed, your throat suddenly feeling dry. “I need water. I bet he has water in the fridge, right?” You whispered to yourself. Of course, he had water. What kind of human being didn’t have water?
You threw the covers off your body, placing your bare feet on the cool wooden floor beneath the bed. Quickly, you glanced at the time and realized that it was already 1 AM, no way Chan would be awake. You straightened your wrinkled clothes and stood up from the bed, making your way to the kitchen stealthily and quietly.
»»————————-««
Chan lounged on top of the living room couch – his office didn’t have any furniture yet, and he offered you his bed. He laid there, scrolling through Twitter on his phone while placing a hand behind his head. He heard the door to his room creak open, and he locked his phone, turning it over face down on the coffee table, and nestled back into the couch.
The room was dark and his eyes wide open, he heard your slippers padding lightly toward the kitchen. Chan craned his neck up, squinting his eyes right when you switched on the soft light in the kitchen. He heard you opening the cupboards in search of something, then he heard a soft clink. A water glass?
He slowly threw his quilt off and sat up on the couch. Smiling wryly, he saw you opening the fridge and rummaging through the bags of groceries like a raccoon at night. He liked to stock up on food early in the week because chances were, he’d be too busy during the week to go shopping.
Chan stood up, barefoot, and tiptoed softly to the kitchen. The light underneath the fridge cupboards illuminated your form, slightly bent over as you craned to reach the water pitcher. He held his breath in his lungs as he observed the way your big t-shirt covered half your thighs – this was his favorite look on you. Undeniably, Chan narrowed his eyes as he inched up behind you.
»»————————-««
Just as your hand came in contact with the water pitcher at the back of the fridge, behind fifteen bags of vegetables, you felt a presence. That caused you to straighten up and stiffen as you felt a pair of arms snake around your waist, and you let out a small gasp, knowing that the presence was Chan. His light cologne more than familiar.
“Did you find what you were looking for?” He said, his breath feathering the nape of your neck. Chan could feel your uneven breathing underneath his hands, and he smirked. You gulped, feeling vulnerable as his body pressed tightly against your back, leaving no room for even a slip of air in between.
“Why are you in the living room?” You asked slowly, feeling his heartbeat beating quicker through his thin shirt. You eyed his hand as it lifted away from your torso, pressing against the door of the fridge, and closing it completely.
He backed up from you and said, his voice significantly deeper, “Because you’re in my room.”
You pursed your lips, almost missing his warmth. “Why did you do that? I would have been fine on the couch. I feel terrible.” You spun to face him, and he locked eyes with you.
“You need it more than I do.”
The jerk did have a heart after all. It was thoughtful of him. To accompany you to the library even though his shift was over. To offer you a place to stay (even if it was his barely renovated apartment) when you were beyond terrified. To give you his bed, leaving the couch for himself. You almost forgot the blind date incident after today.
Chan reached forward and held your hand, letting his hand travel up to your waistline. He stepped closer and pressed his body to yours again, the other hand finding its way around your waist as well. He let his head rest comfortably on your shoulder. As he did, you blinked slowly and turned your head slightly towards him, letting your head fall back as you parted your lips, accommodating your breathing.
“Do you like me, Chan?” You managed to let out as you pushed him away lightly, hands on his chest. “Or are you playing with me?”
Chan let in a sharp intake of air before grabbing you by your waist and lifting you clean off the floor and onto the granite island’s top. Before you even had a second to process that, a second to breathe, his lips found yours immediately as his hands pressed firmly on either side of the countertop, trapping you between his arms. His kisses were demanding, yet gentle as you opened your mouth to let his tongue softly caress yours – butterflies exploding in your stomach.
He broke away and leaned his forehead on yours.
“Does that answer your question?” He whispered deeply, tilting his jaw back a nuance to gaze into your eyes.
Upon seeing his sincerity, you placed your arms over his shoulder ever-so-lightly, captivating his full lips on yours once more.
»»————————-««
Something soft hit the side of your cheek as your vision slowly came into focus, recognizing the grey curtains of Chan’s living room and the sound of obnoxious birds at dawn. You stirred gently, stretching slightly as your fingers accidentally dug into something soft draped across your waist. Slowly, you opened your eyes to Chan, well, Chan’s curly mop of hair.
Oh right.
You buried your face in your hands as you thought back to last night and what had happened when you wanted to get yourself a glass of water, the neglected water glass still on the island top. Blood rushed to your cheeks as you reminisced further, recalling the way he had kissed you. You never kissed your blind dates, but moreover, no one had ever kissed you the way he did, not even your ex.
Chan stirred beside you, making your heartbeat increase tenfold in your chest as he wrapped his arm tighter around your torso.
“Good morning, Y/N,” Chan said in his husky morning voice, tiredness lacing his tone. “Did you sleep well?”
Your hand flew up to your hair unconsciously, attempting to straighten your bird’s nest to make yourself look less like a bum, as if Jisung’s choice of sleepwear didn’t already do the job.
“Yeah, I slept fine.” You responded in a soft voice as you continued to fix your hair. “And you?”
Chan’s lips curled into a dimpled smile as he snuggled up close to your neck. “Like a baby.”
He took notice of your stiffness and your thinking face, your mind probably racing miles per hour. Chan propped himself up on the arm of the couch and looked down at you, arm still securely around your waist.
“What’s wrong? You look...constipated,” he pointed out.
“I was...well, I was just wondering if...if you meant the kiss last night...” you trailed off, tapping your fingers on his arm lightly, tracing the prominent veins on his arm.
Chan smiled warmly at you. “Maybe I ought to tell you this. You’re the first girl I brought home, much less slept on the same couch with. If I didn’t mean the kiss, would I have offered you a place to stay?” His face seemed to inch closer to yours as your heart stopped, his words having a tremendous effect on you.
“I didn’t give you a definitive answer last night, so here. I like you, Y/N,” he confessed, a slight roughness to his answer. Chan entwined his fingers with yours, maintaining eye contact with you as you gazed into his brown ones.
His captivating words had chased all the lingering doubts out of your mind. “So...what are we?” You accidentally voiced your thoughts and mentally scolded yourself, biting down on your bottom lip harshly. Chan managed to hold back a chuckle at how cute and straightforward you were. Right then, he leaned his head on top of yours, and you melted in his chest.
Chan whispered, “I’m your boss, and you’re my assistant inspector.”
The smile on your face dropped, pushing him away harshly as he rolled off the couch.
“I’m kidding, Y/N. Gosh, you’re strong.” He whined, rubbing the sore spot on his shoulder.

Telephones and pagers rang on every detective’s desk, creating havoc in the precinct as reporters from every station lined up at the entrance to get the latest, juiciest scoop on The Sinner. Workers and officers were bombarded by questions. Why did Inspector Bang suddenly have the station on lock-down? Were more innocent people at risk? Did the detectives finally manage to figure out The Sinner’s next move?
Chan gripped both of your shoulders and turned you to face him, his gaze stern, devoid of the childish playfulness he embodied this morning. “We’re going to give the reporters out there one minute of our time, just one minute until the door’s closed. No matter what you do, don’t say anything about the killer’s next move. They’re the press. They don’t keep secrets like we do,” he instructed clearly and thoroughly.
“Got it,” you reassured him, nodding obediently.
“Here we go,” Chan mumbled, opening the doors to the precinct, just enough for the two of you to slither through. And immediately, five microphones were shoved in front of your face, along with bombarding questions regarding the case as Chan had predicted.
A lady in red asked, “Inspector, have you found the culprit yet? Are the civilians in danger?”
Chan responded professionally, “No, we have not found the killer, but we do have a sufficient amount of evidence to rightfully accuse him if he were to perhaps, slip. The civilians do not need to worry. This killer targets specific types of people, and it is unlikely for him to go after a random passerby.” His hawk eyes darted around the crowd of reporters, trying to see if anyone was behaving weirdly.
“Inspector! Inspector! Why is the station under a lock-down? Do you think you’re being targeted?” Another man in blue questioned you.
“The precinct has its doors closed because we are all very busy, answering calls back and forth. It’d be inconvenient for people to walk in and press charges at this moment. The killer is on the run, and we want to catch him as soon as possible. Of course, the police station is a plausible target, but then again, anyone who meets his standards could be the next victim,” you said, earning a nod from the reporter. You looked to Chan for approval, and he squeezed your hand in response.
A woman in black shoved through the crowd and inquired Chan. “Will you take responsibility when the killer strikes again this week? It’s been a constant trend.”
“All of our inspectors are working hard to catch The Sinner, and of course, as the police force, we will take full responsibility if anybody’s life is harmed in response to our delay. However, if the killer decides to deviate from us and attack elsewhere, we are not at fault,” Chan replied.
“Alright, doors close now! Thank you, and we will not be taking any more questions.” He announced right after the last inquiry, placing a hand on your shoulder to guide you back to the precinct.
You were about to enter when suddenly, you heard your name being called in the faint distance. “Y/N! Y/N!” A man’s voice called.
You turned your head around abruptly, completely neglecting Chan as you heard the voice chanting your name in a sing-song matter. Soon after, you were met with a microphone right at your lips, the owner a man in black, cap hung low.
“Y/N, what would you do you if were targeted as The Sinner’s next victim?” His voice was eerie and dark, and you felt shivers down your spine as if the Angel of Death had arrived.
“E-Excuse me? How do you know my name?” You questioned the man in confusion. The police force never divulged the names of their detectives, and you were also a new inspector in the department. No could have known your first name.
Chan’s hand tightened around your shoulder. “Let’s go. We don’t have time for this. Remember, a minute,” he reminded, determined to get you inside before something bad happened.
The man chuckled, a cold laugh, and the entire world froze as he opened his mouth to say the next few words.
“What would you do if something happened to your dear best friend?”
What? What did he just say? You wondered how he knew your name, and why he mentioned your best friend. What was he insinuating? Then the one thing you feared popped in your mind, your biggest nightmare. And it made you regret transferring to the Homicide Division. It made you regret every single decision you’ve made so far.
“WHAT DID YOU DO TO JISUNG, YOU FUCKING BASTARD!” You screamed as tears threatened to spill, the crowd of reporters inching backward at your sudden outburst. Hundreds of flashing cameras blinded your eyes, but you lunged forward and grabbed the suspect’s collar. You raised the fistful of fabric up, dragging him along with you, and hissed in front of his face. “Tell me where he is right now, or else...” you trailed off, thinking back to what Chan said.
“Or else what? You’ll kill me?” He challenged, the right side of his lips quirking up to a vile sneer.
Your chest heaved up and down as you tried to calm yourself. You thought back to Chan, who was standing beside you, completely shocked that The Sinner decided to just turn himself in. And you remembered what Chan had told you yesterday, that this was all just a game to The Sinner. You were “wrath” and if you killed him, he would win, completing the Seven Deadly Sins. You tried to control your anger, and it reached a point where you didn’t want a breather because you were too scared that your emotions would finally catch up, causing you to snap.
Your gun was in your holster right by your side, and with one shot, he’d be lifeless. What good would that do you though? The number one priority right now was finding Jisung, dead or alive. If he were dead, you demanded a corpse. If he were alive, you demanded him back.
Taking the gun out of your holster, you cocked your gun right by the side of his forehead. Chan widened his eyes and grabbed your arm, holding you down, but you brushed him aside.
“Show me Jisung. Dead or alive.” You spat, each and every word enunciated clearly for the bastard to hear. Upon hearing your answer, Chan loosened his grip on your hand. He too took his gun out, clicking it before aiming it at The Sinner.
A small, barely noticeable smile crept to the bastard’s face as he turned around with his hands in the air, bandages on every finger. No wonder forensics couldn’t find any fingerprints. He consistently cut off the skin of his fingertips, disabling DNA fingerprinting.
“Follow me, Y/N. But tell your boyfriend to put his gun down. This is between you and me only.”
Chan walked forward and placed metal cuffs on the both of his hands, dropping his gun right in front of him.
“Her boyfriend will, but you’re getting these cuffs.” He muttered, his brows creased restlessly.
»»————————-««
Despite not having his gun in his hand, Chan followed you closely, making sure your emotions didn’t consume you whole. He knew it was part of The Sinner’s scheme to turn himself in, prompting you to get hurt and perhaps even kill him. Jisung was a cop himself, part of the forensics team, and if anything, he’d have the basic self-defense skills. If he really did kill Jisung, then he would have to personally get inside the precinct, capture Jisung without making any noise, and make a successful escape. The thing was, the entire precinct was under lock-down. How would someone go in and out unannounced?
Chan reached into the pocket of his leather jacket and took out his cell phone, quickly dialing a number. At the same time, he kept his eyes locked up front, trailing behind you slowly.
You swallowed a lump in your throat. The killer had led the two of you to the outskirts of the city, not too far from the station. It was a flat field by the side of the main highway, with nothing in sight but an abandoned trailer, and the trailer had been there for years. Untouched, but no one bothered looking because it was a useless trinket. It wasn’t the trailer that caught your eye, but the box beside the trailer.
“Oh, she sees the treasure box. Why don’t you go and open it?” The Sinner sang, his chuckles airy.
“Hyunjin, call bomb squad,” Chan said into his portable transmitter as he took precautions.
The killer laughed, and in split second, he kicked the box towards you. “The only thing exploding will be Y/N once she sees what’s inside the box. Open it!” He ordered, gesturing madly with his head, beads of sweat rolling down his face.
You struggled to keep your gun in your clammy hand as your left hand reached towards the box. Chan walked up behind you and placed a hand on top of your dominant hand, stabling the gun. Your throat ran dry as you lifted one of the flaps to the box, growing dizzy as you saw a blood stain emerge. Taking a deep breath, you lifted the other flap and peered in the gap.
What you saw emitted a bloodcurdling scream from your throat.
“You sick bastard! How could you? How could you do this to him?” You thrashed and shoved Chan aside, aiming the gun to his forehead, the cold metal leaving an indent on his temple.
“Because I envy you. And your perfect tip-top shape kind of life. You’ll never understand what it means to suffer, and now you will,” he sneered, lapping his lips with a foul smile.
Tears were streaming down your face at the sight of your best friend’s mutilated body parts inside the box. “I’m going to kill you. If anyone’s rotting in hell, it’s going to be you. Mark my words.” You grit your teeth, your body shaking with anger.
Chan’s face was suddenly filled with insecurity and fear before he grabbed your arm harshly, pulling you back. Not a moment too soon, he had received a callback, and that proved his deduction.
“Let go of me! I don’t care about winning or losing anymore! I just want this bastard to suffer, and after what he did to Jisung, I want to see him beg,” you hissed. You weren’t logical. You weren’t in the right mind. You were blinded by vengeance, much to The Sinner’s advantage. You were wrath, and nothing was standing between you and killing him, not even Chan.
Chan’s eyes hardened as he clenched his jaw, his hand grabbing your wrist firmly for you to give him your undivided attention. He turned you to face him, his eyes glowering down on yours.
“Listen to me. Jisung’s not dead, and whatever you saw inside the box isn’t him. He just called me from the precinct,” he whispered frantically as he searched your eyes. He looked for reason, for something other than fear and anger. “He’s safe,” he reiterated.
Safe. Jisung was safe.
“Shoot me.” He hissed. “Shoot me, I dare you. I killed your best friend. You said you wanted a corpse, so here’s his corpse. My job is done, so shoot me!”
He was so adamant about you shooting him; he was using you to rid of his sins. Someone had to finish his legacy, so he picked you to complete the Seven Sins. However, was the person in the box really Jisung? Or was the person an unfortunate pedestrian?
“Trust me, Y/N,” Chan’s jaw tensed.
Where was the reason in this? Then you remembered: a murder a week on the exact same day. Chan had mentioned this before back at the library, that The Sinner only killed on Tuesdays. Undeniably, he wanted to be killed on a Tuesday. Therefore, regardless of what, he would need someone to be “wrath” in order for him to be killed. Chances were, the person in the box wasn’t Jisung, and Chan was right.
You started nodding in your head, scoffing slightly as your grip slackened, and the gun hung loosely in your hands.
“You’re a liar. I’m not sealing your fate, you anal bastard. Tuesdays, right? You have to kill on Tuesdays. That body isn’t Jisung’s.”
“SHOOT ME, Y/N! I KILLED HIM. I KILLED ALL THOSE SINNERS.” He screamed like a maniac.
You raised your gun at him and hooked your index finger around the trigger.
“Very well then,” you said simply.
“Y/N. Don’t do it!” Chan yelled, a rush of oxygen escaping his lungs, his eyes and ears betraying him. He thought you understood.
Then, a single gunshot rang through the field.
»»————————-««
(ONE WEEK LATER)
“If it isn’t our lovely Mrs. Bang, how are you, Y/N?” Jisung asked with a grin when he saw you stroll in the precinct a week later, smirking secretly upon the realization that the blind date he had set up worked for you.
You threw a clipboard at him as Chan trailed behind you. “We’re not married, you fool.”
“You don’t even come back to your apartment because you practically live with Chan now, and the two of you bicker like an old married couple.” He said as he leaned back in his chair, bumping fists with Changbin who was next to him.
“Yeah? How does it feel being best man for five of your friends’ weddings? What’s it like being a thirty-year-old spinster?” You retorted, your eyes narrowing down on your best friend.
Jisung grumbled, turning away from you with a playful scowl. “I didn’t know Chan had a thing for EVIL PEOPLE.”
Chan chuckled when you sat down on his chair, kicking back like you owned the damn place. “She’s just cranky because Gordon Ramsay eliminated her favorite contestant on MasterChef,” he exposed, and his transmitter started beeping. “Chief wants me. I’ll be back in a few.”
He squeezed the back of your neck reassuringly before leaving you alone with Jisung and Changbin.
“Why does he have so many new cases? How prominent is crime around here?” You said as you stared at the neat pile of untouched portfolios, at least seven of them.
Jisung “tsked” and started playing a game on his monitor. Easy for him to say, he was stuck in a lab all day doing science experiments, barely any paperwork.
Changbin nodded in agreement. “That’s what you get for being the head inspector of the Homicide Division. Chan has the capability and the experience to become the Chief of Police, but no, he likes serial killers,” he chuckled.
“The man’s weird, but I like weird.” You commented the last bit, and the two officers gagged in front of you, cringing at your profound cheesiness. You rolled your eyes at their dramatic reaction and puffed out a breath of air before reaching over to the case files. Grabbing a wad of sticky notes, you opened the first case file.
Then you remembered what Chan had mentioned when the two of you first met at the precinct. Some cases required a more literary analysis in order to develop a deeper understanding of the serial killers’ methodologies.
“Hey guys, tell Chan I’ll be at the public library downtown with his cases. Oh, also tell him that I want a caramel macchiato when he stops by the cafe across the street for his daily dose of caffeine,” you told the other two. You picked up the portfolios and stuffed them in your bag, along with the sticky notes and a handful of colorful pens.
In return, you received two weird looks your way.
“Y/N, good morning. Where are you off to?” Felix walked in with a case he just ran by the forensics in his hands.
“The library,” you chirped, throwing a wave back at the three before walking out the sliding doors.
Felix scrunched his face in confusion as he thought he heard the word “library”. Why would you be on a library date with Chan when you had a pile of cases that needed to be solved? He looked to the two older officers for an explanation.
Jisung tapped restlessly on his keyboard, trying to save his character from dying in the game. “Don’t ask, Felix,” he mumbled, groaning as the little dinosaur fell down a pit of lava.
»»————————-««
Turns out Chief wanted Chan and Changbin to analyze a crime scene an hour away, and grudgingly, Jisung texted you that he and his forensics team were “camping with the bears”. You figured they were in the wilderness somewhere, and Chan didn’t arrive at the library until it was eight in the evening.
Chan ran up the winding staircase, carrying two very overdue cups of caramel macchiatos in his hands, skipping two steps at a time. His footsteps came to a stop when he saw apple-shaped sticky notes attached to each of his files and two piles of books on the desk.
“Hey, what are you doing?” Chan spoke up with amused eyebrows as he moved to place the cups of coffee on top of the desk, standing in front of you.
“I solved them for you.”
Chan’s eyes widened as he picked up one of the files, flipping through the pages and analyzing your detailed notes on every picture. “You solved them? All in a day?”
“I still need more evidence for some of them, but I have the suspects listed. I’m pretty sure they’re correct, but they might require more substantial evidence for them to be closed cases. Just follow the outline I did on the last pages of each file.” You tapped your pen on the areas to point them out.
Chan was stunned. These were all leads, and he would be able to find the culprit sooner with all the cases laid out in a neat outline. His eyes darted up to look at you, and for a second, you were afraid that he was mad at you for messing up the files. You were new to the division, and what if your leads were all nonsense? You were second doubting yourself.
“Marry me.”
Your jaw dropped, baffled by his answer. “You haven’t even met my parents yet.”
“Well, it’s time to book a train to Busan then,” he said, walking behind you to wrap his arms around your sitting figure. He bent down and kissed to the side of your left cheek.
“You dork.” You snorted, your hands holding onto his arms as you leaned back, your head on his chest.
Thinking back to it, maybe Jisung did know your ideal type pretty well. He did somewhat introduce you to Chan, and maybe your hapless fate wasn’t so unfortunate after all. The universe had definitely messed with your life, several times actually, but this was actually your happy ending.
Chan was your sun, and because he entered your life, you found meaning. Without him, you would have killed The Sinner instead of wounding him in the leg. Without him, you would never be a good detective because you would be stuck staring at blank pages, trying to look for hidden patterns without background knowledge. And without him, you wouldn’t be able to learn to love again. Because he was the sun, you were the moon. He made you shine your brightest.
Now that you look back at it, the sun and the moon’s love story wasn’t a forlorn one. It was a beautiful one. Although they were only able to see each other during those transient moments of dawn and dusk, those moments were happy and cherished. Sometimes, the universe would give mercy, creating a rare phenomenon permitting the sun and moon to finally meet. In other words, their love was truly eternal. At day, you see the sun, shining bright in the sky. At night, you see the moon, glowing mysterious in its domain. And sometimes, you see the sun kiss the moon, thanking her for her company. Even the sun and the moon had their happy ending.
That’s what eclipses were for.

Video Games: RappaXF!Reader
For the server prompt!
Some spicey Rappa content right here! Big boi doesnt ...exactly follow the rules, but that's okay since the reward is 🥵🥵🥵
Rating: E
Warnings: Smut, blood, death(?), face sitting, fem!dom, dry humping.
Word count: 1.5k
“Adequate enough that I think you deserve a little something in return.” he doesn’t see the coy look on your face as you turn, reaching around to palm at his staining cock through his pants.
You had never heard a laugh turn into a moan so fast in your life.

Track 1: Daily routine - Rutina diaría.  Track 2: At the other side of the Eclipse - Al otro lado del Eclipse. Track 3: Pain and memories - El dolor y los recuerdos. Track 4: No matter how many times - No imports cuantas veces. Track 5: The meaning of “love” - El significado del amor.
TRACK 1: Daily routine
*videogame sounds*
Kino: Yeah! With this *he presses the buttons harder* Kino: Yeeey~! I win, too bad for you.
*Music changes*
Kino: Ehhh? What does that mean? Were you letting me play with the intention of losing at the end? Kino: Mmm, if you were thinking to lose from the very beginning, then I won without winning. That’s boring for me. Kino: I don´t need a whole speech if you are going to apologise. Ahh, something like going easy in a game against me. Kino: Hm, it can’t be helped *he comes close* Kino: Heheh, “What’s wrong?” you say... We are going to play a punishment game, isn’t it obvious? Kino: That’s right, you lost against me. Mm, that’s why~ what kind of punishment should I give you~? Kino: Which one would you like? As I thought, would you like that I suck your blood?
*She answers*
Kino: Even if you say that you don’t want any... I can’t leave it just like this. Kino: *In her ear* Because... this is funny for me... fufu. Kino: *He gets away from her ear* Even you like things that feel good, don’t you? You like me because I make you feel good with my fangs, right? Kino: So there is no problem. That’s why... *He pushes her down* Kino: Fufu, is good to look at you from above, we’ll start the punishment like this. Kino: To begin with... *Kisses* What a good expression you make. At this rate I feel like piercing you with my fangs. Kino: Could it be that you thought that I was going to suck your blood? If I did, then it wouldn’t be a punishment, would it? Kino: If I didn’t do things you dislike, then it wouldn’t be a punishment. Kino: That’s why I’ll do this... I’ll touch veeery lightly your skin with my lips... *kisses*
*She says that it tickles*
Kino: Does it tickle?
*She resists*
Kino: Be obedient. There’s still a lot ahead, we are just at the good part. *kisses*
*She tries to escape*
Kino: Uwahh... *He catches her* Wait a moment! Why are you running? *She still resisting but he grabs her* Kino: Don’t say “but”. Geez, I’m a little gentle with you and you do that all of a sudden. Do I have to show you how scary I can be? Just in this way...! *He bites her* Kino: *Drinking and moaning* ... It hurts, right? Fufu, of course it does, I am the one who makes it hurt. Kino: Hee? What? I can’t listen. *You apologise* Mmm? Why are you apologising? I don’t understand... *He bites you* *Drinks and moans* Kino: Fufu, that’s it, do that. If you finally understood, then I’ll forgive you. *He’s about to bite her, but instead he kisses her* Kino: That was a kiss of reconciliation. Kino: Mm? What is it? Do I have something on my face? *You try to ask something* It’s futile/useless even if you try to trick me. Kino: *He gets closer* Say it. This time I won’t get angry and I’ll listen to you. Come on. *You ask if he really likes you* Kino: What, it was that? By the way, why do you doubt? Am I someone so little reliable? Even I think about you, and do many things for you. *spoiled child voice* Aren’t you being a bit mean? Kino: Even the fact that I spend my time with you is the very proof that I like you. Kino: That’s it. I don’t get involved with persons I’m not interested in. *Kisses* Kino: I am telling the truth! Geez, the next time I say that, I won’t spoil you. Kino: Oops! It’s almost time for the event. I’ll go get ready, so I’ll go back to my room. *He gets up from bed* Kino: Good night! *He leaves* *Outside the room* Kino: To like or to hate... as I thought, I don’t understand those feelings. Maybe that’s the reason why I’m not good at love games.
TRACK 2: At the other side of the Eclipse
Kino: *sighs* Finally I’ve finished the event! *Drinks guava juice* Kino: Drinking guava juice after a event is the best!
*Lefts the glass on the table*
*Strange noises* (It’s a lasting clattering sound)
Kino: Ugh?!... Ahg... *The sound stops* Ahg... My head... hurts...
*Kino stands up to look at the mooon*
Kino: That really was... the eclipse “Para Selene”... It’s the first time I see it. Kino: I knew that demons became strange because of the eclipses, but... don’t tell me this pain is also because of the moon...? Kino: Ugh... Somehow it feels bad... Haa... haa... It’s finally gone. Kino: Oh?! *He sees you walking* Kino: Eyyy! Where are you going at this time? If you go somewhere someone may catch you! Hey, where do you plan to go? Kino: If it’s about school, today is a free day, isn’t it? Are you asleep? *You run away* Kino: Eh?! Why are you running away? *He gets up immediately* I don’t understand what’s going on!
*She is running and suddenly Kino teleports in front of her*
Kino: Why~ are you running all of a sudden? Do you want to start a chasing game?
*She slowly gets away from him and ask who he is* Kino: Haa? “Who are you?”... What are you saying? It’s me. You know me very well, I’m Kino-kun, aren’t I? Kino: Are you a somnambulist? Geez, wake up *He gets closer and catches her, but she resists* Kino: Wo?! Ey, don’t resist! I’m even worrying about you! What’s gotten into you? *She keeps resisting* Kino: Ugh...! Geez! It can’t be helped *He makes you faint* Kino: I hurt you, eh. Geez... I don’t understand what’s going on.
*She wakes up*
Kino: Have you woken up, Princess? *With a cold sarcastic tone*
Kino: That frightened look... Hey, you don’t really know I am? Or where we are?
*She answers she doesn’t*
Kino: Haa. Could this be amnesia?
*She answers it’s not*
Kino: By the way, if it’s not, then what is it? You don’t even remember my name. Kino: Hmm... Just a moment ago you were fine. Maybe you hit your head or saw something that left you in shock? Did something like that happen?
*She says she can’t remember*
Kino: You don’t remember, eh. Fine, then I’ll ask this: Is there anything you remember?
*She only remembers her name*
Kino: Mm~ In short, you have forgotten everything except your name, and you are in a completely new state, eh... Kino: Then, have you forgotten about Eve and all the vampires in the Demon World?
*She answers yes*
Kino: I see... Then this is... *smiles* fufu... interesting in many ways.
*He comes close and gets on top of her*
Kino: It’s all right. E~ven you don’t know a~nything, there’s no problem. I’ll tell you everything you need to know. So just relax. Kino: Because I’m your Master. Fufu... that’s right, I am a vampire. I’m an existence that is above humans. Kino: Fufufu... That reaction completely afraid, it’s pretty good. Kino: I feel like drinking your blood.
*She fights*
Kino: Hahaha... You should not r~un. *He presses her wrists* Kino: *In a dark tone* Because I am going to sink my fangs... Stay still, will you? Kino: Otherwise... I’ll make a big hole in this neck... Yes, good girl. Kino: *In the ear* Now... Itadakimasu... *He’s going to bite her, but instead he kisses her neck* Kino: As I thought, I’ll leave it here.
*He gets up*
Kino: I thought that if I surprised you in this way, you would remember something, but it looks like you’ve remembered nothing, so I’ll stop. Kino: Haha, oh? I surprised you too much? Maybe the stimulus of a moment ago was too much for the current you, forgive me. Kino: However, the first reaction was very goo~d. This became amusing. Kino: I know! I’ll give a tour around the household for the poor you, who have lost her memories. And of course, I’ll be with you all the time!
*She tries to run but he grabs her*
Kino: Nope, Nope. You can’t run. Kino: Okay, shall we go?
TRACK 3: Pain and memories
*Opens the door*
Kino: Well, this is the bathroom. Go in.
*Yui asks why*
Kino: “Why” you say... I did that thing before, but you didn’t react much. So I thought of playing here the same way.
*Yui resists* Kino: Geez, how troublesome... How about you stop resisting already? Kino: Come on. *He pushes her inside* You do like me, don’t you? Then just be obedient and do as I say.
*Yui answers that she doesn’t remember that feeling*
Kino: What does that mean? Can’t you remember that you like me? Is that why you were resisting a moment ago? Kino: I don’t understand what it means at all. I thought your amnesia would be fun... but it’s the worst. Kino: This is wrong; I’ll make you remember everything. Kino: Conveniently we came to the right place. *He turns the water on* Kino: “What are you doing?” you say, can’t you tell just by looking? I’m going to put you in the bathtub so you can remember. Kino: Well, just like this, get in. Ah, but... In that time I pushed you? Mmm, then like this *He gets in the bathtub* Kino: Done, you too *He pulls her inside* Kino: Ahh~ah, we are all soaked, geez... Just for you to know, all this is for your own good *knocking sound* Kino: Be grateful with the kind me *He rips her clothes* Kino: Ahh, I just ripped your clothes a little, don’t be noisy. I won’t be so bad, so quit screaming *He turns the water off* Kino: Don’t you remember? When I sucked you blood in the bathtub? You were a bit weak, and saying weird things. You defied my fangs. Kino: Come on, just by coming closer like this you want me to make you feel good, don’t you?
*She tries to push him*
Kino: What a stubborn girl. I wouldn’t mind if you just admit it and your memories come back.  As I thought, first I’ll have to make you remember my fangs. Kino: Fufu... ah, well, it’s been awhile since the last time I saw you trembling like this, maybe it’s good. Kino: Now... Where shall I drink from...? ...Good! I’ve decided! I’ll drink from this place. *He’s going to bite her* Kino: It was a joke~... As I thought, it’s better here *He bites her and she starts to move* Kino: Nn... ha... that voice, I like it... *He keeps drinking* Nnmm... haa... haa... Mm, maybe I do get excited when you resist. Si es un “si” condicional entonces sacale el “do”) Kino: Are you trembling? Fufu, nonetheless your face is red. Which means it felt good, right? Kino: Hey, this must be like the first time for you [because she doesn’t have memories], but still you feel more pleasure rather than pain, eh. Kino: Mmm~ (T/N: I couldn’t get this part) This isn’t enough yet? Then this time will be here. I’ll make it hurt more than before *He bites her* Kino: Nn... Mmm... Haaa, haaa... Somehow even I got hot. Moreover... this aroma... was like this before? *She falls* Kino: Wo *Catches her* fufu, does it feel so good that you can’t even stand up? However, this has just started. Kino: *Holds her stronger* I thought that getting into the bathtub with clothes on would feel gross, but I could become addicted to this. Kino: *He draws her closer to him* This is was way more intense than before. Come on, look at me? It’s not time to have your head in the clouds, because from now on I’ll do you even better things than this. Kino: So it’s not the moment to be relaxed. Wait a little longer; it’s not to my liking playing with a fainted human. Kino: Come on *He holds her* Haha, are you dizzy? I sucked your blood in the bathtub, so it can’t be helped, eh. But I won’t stop. Kino: *In her ear* Hey, you surely think that vampires don’t suck from any other place than the neck, do you? But I can also sink my fangs where the nerves bundle up, you know? Although I think it must hurt a looot. So just endure it? Kino: *Bites* Nnmm... Mm... No matter how much it hurts, until you remember I won’t stop sucking your blood, heheh. Kino: If you try to stop me, it just makes me want to do it more, you know? [T/N: I don’t know what he meant] You say that knowing it? Well, after all you are stubborn, so for sure you’ll say “It’s not like that”. Kino: You don’t have to answer. Just like I’ve said before, I’ll keep sucking until you remember. *Weird sound* Kino: Ugh...! Fuck, again...! *Sound disappears* Kino: I’m fine, it’s nothing. Just concentrate in this *He bites her* Kino: Nnm... haa... You will faint, or you will remember, what will happen first? This just got a little funny.
TRACK 4: No matter how many times
*Kino wakes up*
Kino: Oh? ... Just a moment ago we were in the bathroom. Kino: *Takes a look at himself* I’m not wet...? Even my hair and clothes are dry. What happened? Kino: Ugh! Still... my head hurts. Was it because of that weird sound a moment ago? Kino: Ah, you woke up? “Where are we?”? Well, wherever you look, it’s the living room of my mansion. Kino: No, we were already here when I realised. It could be that... *He stands up* Kino: Mmm? No, there’s something I just want to check. Kino: *In a loud voice* OI, YUURI! Yuuri, are you there? Hey! *... ...* Kino: Mm, as I thought, he’s not here. *She asks who he is (Yuuri)* Kino: Ahh, Yuuri is like my right hand. He should be in the mansion, but it seems that’s not the case. Kino: There’s no way that he has gone somewhere without telling me anything. Kino: hhmm~? I see. *Walks to the window and stares at the moon* Kino: There are two moons. As I thought... it must be it. *He takes a sit* Kino: I’ve finally realised what’s going on, and also the reason why you have lost your memories. Kino: I get angry just by knowing this. At least it would’ve been better if something funnier happened. But why did you lose your memories? *?* Kino: I’m talking to myself. Is just... after understanding I’m starting to feel angry. Kino: Right now, I don’t exist within you. Along with that, all your memories about me disappeared. Kino: Actually I don’t mind that but... *With a heavy voice and getting close* When I do this! Kino: See? Just by getting a little close you are already frightened. Kino: In this kind of situation you don’t plan to play any game with me, do you? *She doesn’t remember* Kino: You also forgot about that, eh... Kino: *He makes himself comfortable* It’s not funny at all... more like, I’m against this. Kino: That new reaction of yours was funny, but apart from that this is not funny at all. Kino: Actually I don’t care if someone forgets me but... that specifically you forget me, that’s something I don’t really want. Kino: Look! You are making that face again. No, that’s not the reaction I want *His voice sorrowful* Kino: Ahh, geez! *He gets close* It hurts within my chest, what is this? Kino: I see, I can’t accept that I’m gone from you. All this is because your loss of memory. Kino: It’s the first time I feel so tense, is not funny at all. Kino: Don´t forget so easily. Remember everything! Remember me. *She is sorry* Kino: Why do you apologise? A moment ago you were so afraid. Suddenly you feel guilty because of me? Kino: Or maybe you remembered something? *She says she doesn’t* Kino: True. If you had remembered something, you would have answered something better. *She asks something* Kino: That’s right but, what about that? *She asks if he was in love with her* Kino: Haa? How do you know that? I... like you...? Kino: I’m sorry, but I don’t know what it is to like or hate. I just don’t like that you don’t remember me, is just that. *She insists* Kino: You keep saying that? Then I will ask you: What do you think about me? *She says that she loves him* Kino: You... like me, eh. Liar. Kino: You know, I hate liars, I despise them. And right now you are trying to lie to me. *She says that is not a lie* Kino: Hee, is not a lie? Although you don’t remember me? *She says that her chest hurts too* Kino: Hmm... So your chest hurts too, eh. I don’t think you can call that love, though. Kino: But if you are insisting until this point, then prove it. Kino: As I thought, you can’t do it, right. I can’t be satisfied just with sweet words. *She touches him* Kino: What is it... with this hand? Are you trying to seduce me? Kino “I’ll make my best” eh... Even though we did every kind of things, I think that’ll be useless. Kino: ?! You want... to remember me? *She answers she does* You want to remember me, eh... I see. Kino: Then I will cooperate so that your memories come back. But you don’t have to run away like you did a moment ago, even so you agree? Kino: Hee... Alright, then I have to take it seriously too. *He gets close* Kino: No matter how much you don’t want it and try to stop me, I won’t Kino: I’ll make you suffer until you remember everything, because the pain is the only memory that connects us. Kino: If I’m not careful enough you could die. Even so, do you agree? *She answers she does* Kino: *laughs* Well said. Me too, I don’t [T/N: I couldn’t understand this part] Kino: Like I always do, just this way *He throws her into the sofa* Kino: Does it hurt? Of course it does, this is the second time I scratch you. Kino: Come on, look, my finger is covered in your delicious blood. Kino: *Licks his finger* “Why?” you say... Long ago I did the same thing. Although in that moment I was completely angry. Kino: You were quite defensive *Kisses* Kino: Haha, did it feel good? The flavour of my fangs or the flavour of my nails... Which one do you prefer? Kino: Mmm... I think I stabbed them very deep... The blood flow doesn’t stop. It seems like it hurts. [No shit, Sherlock] Kino: However, your face is red and hot, your face says “Instead of hurting, this feels so good that I can’t help it”. Kino: Fufu, good, isn’t it? Because you like pain, don’t you? Just now the pain was so intense that it became pleasurable, remember it with your body, will you? [T/N: I couldn’t understand] Kino: Hey... Do you want me to be crueler? I’ll sink my fangs even deeper than before. You want me to suck your blood a lot of times, don’t you? Kino: [T/N: Again, I couldn’t understand a single word!] Kino: Sure. Kino: You don’t have just to nod, say it with your mouth. Just one word: “Do it”. Kino: As expected, a lot of blood is coming out. Kino: There’s no other way, I’ll help you *He licks the wound* Kino: Fufu, just that felt good? It was something simple, though. Kino: *Keeps licking and kissing* Well, even if this just a treatment I’m really enjoying the flavour of the blood *He keeps licking* Kino: *Laughs* Do you want to say something? Kino: *In her ear* You want me to bite you, don’t you? Then say it. If you don’t, I won’t do it. Kino: Just now you had a face like “I don’t care what you do to me”. As I thought, were you really prepared for this? *She says she wasn’t* Kino: Right? Then say it. Look, I’ll draw my ear closer. *She tells him* Kino: Fufu, “Please” eh... It can’t be helped, but that’s enough for now. Kino: [T/N: I didn’t understand] *He bites her and she starts to resist* *He grabs her wrists hard and keeps drinking* Kino: Endure it... It won’t finish just with this, right. Because you... still don’t remember anything about me... anything *he bites her again* Kino: Mmm... nn... haa... Come on, I’m even cooperating. So hurry up... and remember me... *The music stops* Kino: ?! What’s wrong? Why are you crying? Did it hurt... that much? ( No sé, a vos qué te parece?? :v ) Kino: Why do you apologise all of a sudden? If you want me to stop then... *She hugs him* Woah?! Kino: What’s going on? I really don’t understand... Kino: First... Stop crying... Kino: ... ... Kino: Before apologising tell me the reason. You are not crying because it hurt, are you? Kino: *sad laugh* What’s the meaning of this? *In a tender yet sad tone* It’s not your fault that you don’t remember... Kino: *He hugs her back* There, there... I’m sorry, Princess... Kino: I did not mean to get you to such an extreme [T/N: This was the most heart-touching part, AND I COULND’T UNDERSTAND] Kino: You know... The fact that you forgot me feels lonely. But... way more important than the memories is that you think about me, the feeling. Kino: The fact that you are crying this way it’s because you think about me just like before, isn’t it? Kino: Or am I wrong? *She says he’s correct* Kino: Right? Well, don’t cry anymore. If you cry any more than this, I’ll do mean things to you. Kino: Yeah, well done. Now, a reward for having stopped crying *He kisses her* Kino: Fufu, I see... this could be the feeling of love... *She says that she wants a kiss in the mouth* Kino: Eh?! Are you sure? In your mouth... Kino: Maybe I like this new thing a little, it look sweet [her mouth] *Kisses* [T/N: Just for you to know, since she lost her memory, Kino kissed her everywhere except for her lips because he would never do it without her consent. *cof* In this CD drama, in his route he stole a kiss from her *cof*] Kino: After the kiss, I’ll suck your blood gently... *He bites her and the weird sound is heard again*
TRACK 5: The meaning of “love”
*Kino wakes up*
Kino: Is this... my room...? What was that thing from before...—Oh! Are you alright?! Kino: *Sighs relieved* It seems like you are. Kino: Mmm? What is it? Kino: Eh?! You really... remembered? Kino: *He hugs her excited* Kino: Great...! You really... remember, don’t you? Kino: Ah! It’s true, the moon! *He runs to the window and draws the curtains open* Kino: It’s back to normal... hahaha... That was something weird Kino: Yes, I’m sorry. Before you lost your memory you were looking at the moon, weren’t you? Kino: You have seen a ring on the moon, right? Well, about that... Kino; As I thought... Probably we both were absorbed by the eclipse. Kino: Demons are affected by the moon, are they not? Kino: I’ve heard that the moon does that. Certainly it was called... “The Para-Selene syndrome” Kino: I think it’s an illness that makes you see illusions... In other words, what we saw just now was an illusion. Kino: Probably your memory came back after you woke up. Kino: Haa... for now, it’s a very good thing that it has come back~ *He hugs her* Really, very good... Kino: If you hadn’t remembered me... I... might have gone crazy. Kino: Don’t make me go through that again, okay? Kino: *His cell phone rings* Mmm? OHH! The event is almost over, this is bad! Although I’m late, I might can-... Kino: ... ... Kino: Well, it doesn’t matter now. The event will be available until tomorrow. Kino: Right now I want to do the things that I couldn’t [???] Kino: *Closer* It’s not something to be so surprised, is it? You are way more important than the event, isn’t it obvious. *He takes her to bed* Kino: Now, I should receive some gratitude. The thing from before was not enough at all. Kino: Besides, you were not satisfied in the least, were you? Well, itadakimasu~ *Kisses* I shall please you with these fangs, the pain will feel good. Kino: Brace yourself, will you?
**The End**
ESPAÑOL~
Track 1:
*Sonido de videojuegos*
Kino: Bien!
Kino: Cual te gustaría a ti?
Kino: Mm? Qué sucede? Tengo algo en mi cara? *ella inteta preguntarle* Es inutil aunque intentes engañarme. Kino: *Se acerca* dilo. Esta ves no me enojaré y te escucharé. Vamos
Ey, no resistas! Incluso me estoy preocupando por ti! Qué te sucedió? *ella sigue resistiendo* Kino: Ugh...! Caray!
*Lucha*
Kino: Nope, nope. No puedes huir. Kino: Bien, vamos?
Track 3:
*Abre la puerta*
Kino: Bien, este es el baño. Entra adentro.
Kino: *in the feelings* Qué significa eso? Estabas algo debil, y decias cosas raras. Desafiaste a mis colmillos. Mmm...
No estoy mojado...? Incluso mi cabello y mi ropa están secos. Qué sucedió? Kino: Ugh!
*?*
Kino: Estoy hablando conmigo. Sólo... después de entenderlo estoy comenzando a enojarme. Kino: Justo ahora, dentro tuyo yo no existo.
Kino: No me olvides tan fácilmente. Acuerdate de todo! Acuerdate de mí
*Lo siento*
Kino: Por qué te disculpas? Incluso hace un momento estabas tan asustada. De repente sentiste culpa por mí? Kino: O tal vez recordaste algo?
*No*
Kino: Verdad.
Kino: Haa? Cómo sabes eso? Tú... me gustas...?
Mestirosa.
Kino: ''Me esforzaré'' eh...
Kino: Si me descuido, tú podrías llegar a morir. Aún así estas de acuerdo?
*si*
Entonces dilo.
Haa... vamos, incluso estoy cooperando. Así que date prisa... y recuerdame...
*música se detiene*
Kino: !?. Qué sucede? Por qué estás llorando? Dolió... tanto así? Kino: Por qué te disculpas de repente? Si quieres que me detenga entonces... *lo abraza* woah!? Kino: Qué sucede!? Realmente no estoy entendiendolo... Kino: Primero... deja de llorar... Kino: ... ... Kino: O me equivoco?
*No te equivocas mi amor, te comoh*
Kino: Verdad?
Kino: Si no me hubieras recordado... yo... tal vez me habría vuelto loco. Kino: No me vuelvas a hacer pasar eso, okay? Kino: *Su celular suena* Mmm? OHH!

Subscription Box Review
Our first glimpse inside the Summer 2019 Earthlove Box. The theme for this season is, “The Sea Calls to Me” and if that isn’t seasonally appropriate we don’t know what is!
Everything that we received in our Summer Box. This assortment is FANTASTIC! We love each of the items that was included in this box and are really happy with the variety. There are some beauty items as well as lifestyle items and snacks for us to try out and enjoy.
  So what is all this stuff?
Our first insert in this box comes in the form of a mini magazine.
This page tells us about this season’s featured non-profit, the Coral Reef Alliance. Each box this summer is helping save coral reefs!
Our next page gives us important and amazing facts about coral reefs and also an environmental challenge, a beach clean up!
The next page is a little blurb about how we can connect to the ocean’s magic.
And then we have a recipe to create our own sea salt spray and some live dates for social media.
#gallery-0-4 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-4 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-0-4 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-4 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
This card details each of the items that we received in this box along with a bevy of information and their retail values.
  Exclusive Whale Beach Tote by Gallant
$35
The first item in our box is an Earthlove exclusive and was a collaboration between Earthlove and Gallant International. The design is absolutely perfect and the material is 100% GOTS certified organic cotton and certified fair trade as well. This is extra large and would be great for shopping trips or beach or pool days!
  Organic Mint Tea Soda by Teatulia
$2.50
Next up we have a refreshing drink for summer you’ll have trouble saying no to! Flavored with mint tea and hibiscus lemonade soda these drinks come from their 3000 acre regenerative tea garden in Bangladesh. Personally, we love the packaging and found this drink to be bright and delicious and because it’s caffeine free you can feel free to enjoy this drink anytime of day!
  Summer Solstice Solar Eclipse Eye Shadow from Aether Beauty
$18
Then we have a makeup product, not gonna lie… kinda’ wasn’t expecting something like this but none the less very excited. This is a new to us brand and while the pan looks like a normal neutral shade it’s simply stunning. This shadow is vegan and is infused with … TOPAZ! This product is created with sustainably sourced ingredients including organic coconut oil, shea butter and prickly pear oil.
Here is this gorgeous shadow swatched and we have to say that this is THE perfect color for summer. Shimmery and peachy this is great for an all natural, everyday look or a bright pop on the lid for a night out!
  Book of the Season: The Animal Lover’s Guide to Changing the World by Stephanie Feldstein
$16.99
Every box from Earthlove includes a book that is meant to expand your knowledge of sustainability and compassion. This season we received this book of advice on how to live a more compassionate, sustainable life in regards particularly with animals.
It isn’t often in our boxes that we received works of non-fiction so these are always welcome additions to our shelf!
  Non Nylon Bamboo Toothbrush from Truly Ecofriendly
This item wasn’t on our insert so we aren’t sure of it’s value but it’s completely biodegradable and all natural. We actually need a new toothbrush and something about black bristles is so cool to us! We also love soft bristles so this is a win on our part!
  Glow Juice Refining Enzyme Mask by Earth Harbor
$40
This item was our spoiler for the season and was the item we were most excited for, for the season. With ingredients like red seaweed how could you not include this in a Sea themed package? This is an AHA mask that uses fruit enzymes to exfoliate and resurface the skin. We love the color and cannot wait to give this a go!
We love that this mask works quickly (just 3-5 minutes) to be effective … when you are a Mom of four time really matters. There was also a subscriber only discount code include to give you 15% OFF your next Earth Harbor order.
  Lemongrass Wearable Aromatherapy by Warm Human
$14.95
Now we have an item that we are absolutely pumped to receive. This solid perfume came in a scent that we absolutely love, lemongrass! The pans are handcrafted in California in small batches and can be applied all over your body to relieve stress and anxiety.
This is great to pop on while you are out in the elements to ward off bugs. This is definitely one of our favorite items in this box (we couldn’t decide on a box favorite this season).
  Exclusive Waves of Change Ring by Earthlove
$15
Next we have an Earthlove exclusive item in the form of our favorite kind of jewelry – a ring! For each of these rings sold Earthlove donates 10% of proceeds to the Coral Reef Alliance.
The ring is silver and is shaped into a wave, creating dimension and interest.
  SPF 50 Water Resistant Zinc Sunscreen Butter by All Good (Beegan Variation)
$9.99
This first variation was included in the Beegan only box. This one ounce tin contains physical sunscreen that is SPF50 and can be worn up to 80 minutes. This seems like the kind of product that would be great for swiping on the face without leaving a silly white cast.
The product itself has no scent and goes on beautiful just like a body butter.
  Moisturizing Shampoo Bar by HiBar
$13.95
One of the more interesting products that we received in this season’s Earthlove package reduces waste by cutting out the plastic bottle entirely! This shampoo bar is salon quality, vegan, and sustainable with no parabens, sulfates, pthalates or cruelty!
Here is what it looks like – it does have a very clean fresh smell and HiBar was kind enough to include a subscriber only coupon good for 10% off your next purchase.
  Save our Seas Medium Bowl Cover by The Edgy Moose Designs (Vegan Variation)
$8
The variant for the All Good Sunscreen Butter was this cool bowl cover from The Edgy Moose Designs. This definitely one of our favorite items in this package and we feel like this is a way better option than those beeswax bowl covers too since you can wash and reuse this one until it falls apart. We are in love with the design and think this is a super cool inclusion in this box.
This is crafted with 100% GOTS certified cotton and is the perfect way to get the plastic out of our oceans.
  Oatmeal Cocoa Chip Clean Cookie Bites by Sun + Swell
$3.33
The final item in this season’s Earthlove box are delicious, all natural snacks from Sun + Swell. These are organic, non GMO, gluten free, vegan and dairy free and the package is entirely compostable which is pretty dang rad!
With less than ten ingredients you’d be hard pressed to find anything tastier out there under the sun (and swell).
  So in summary
Presentation: Everything arrived to use perfectly in this season’s Earthlove box
Quality: One of the most amazing aspects of this subscription is how hard they work to deliver us an assortment of items that are completely sustainable and all natural. This is the perfect box for someone who is trying to live a more sustainable life.
Curation: This, “Sea Calls to Me” Box was absolute perfection. The items were beach themed but kept with that all natural and eco-friendly focus of this box which is super important.
Box Economy: For the price of this box ($59.95) we received $177.71 in products (we included both variations) which is an awesome deal!

Hiking in the Foothills of the Himalayas
Hiking is by far one of our most favorite activities to do while traveling, especially when exploring beautiful exotic lands. As part of our Hiking around the World series, guest contributor Shaly Pereira from traveltoes85, is here to share with us her experience hiking in the Himalayas.
Trekking in Uttarakhand, India
Ever imagined a place where you can view snow clad mountains the minute you open your eyes at sunrise? Well, I found the perfect place, high up in the Kumaon hills in Uttarakhand, India.
Tumblr media
This place – Jilling Terraces – owned me. Apart from its sheer beauty and spectacular views, it also offered that peace and tranquility that is the trademark of lesser known places around the world – those not yet stamped upon by hordes of tourists. Add to this the excitement of this being my first solo trekking trip in India and I was well and truly hooked.
The Train Experience
I flew from Oman (my base) into New Delhi, stayed overnight with a friend and took the early morning Shatabdi Express train to Nainital in Uttarakhand. Let me confess. This was also the first time I was traveling solo by train within India, so I had my fair share of fears. Stepping into the first class compartment though, I felt pretty foolish. The interiors were spotlessly clean and had plush, pushback seats (much better than the low-cost flight carriers). My fellow travelers were businessmen, yuppie backpackers, honeymoon couples and tourists visiting India. That long six hours journey flew by seemingly in a couple of hours, as I was served snacks and lunch (all included in the ticket price.)
The Drive to Matial Village Base Camp
The train chugged into Khatgodam Railway Station at noon and a cab driver from Jilling Terraces met me as I walked out. From here it was a one-hour 15-minute drive to Matial Village Base Camp. About 45 minutes into the drive, we stopped at the Bhimtal Lake, the largest lake in Nainital.
Tumblr media
Beautiful views surround Bhimtal Lake. The rest of the drive was all uphill on winding roads with hard mountain terrain on one side and a sheer valley drop on the other. My driver was obviously an expert but that didn’t stop me from having some heart-stopping moments when we approached blind spots or braked to let a couple of teetering trucks drive past. The challenge, however, began only when we came to a stop at the base camp, where my first hike began.
Tumblr media
Hiking is not only good for your health – views like this are good for the soul.
Hiking in the Himalayas: Boomer friendly?
The porter/guide who met me gave me a quizzical once over as if to say – “Hey boomer lady, are you sure you’re up to this?” He, I discovered was as nimble as a goat – even with the weight of my backpack on his shoulders, he was off climbing the path that led steadily upwards. I followed and about ten minutes into the hike, I was treated to beautiful views of terraced fields, storybook houses, high mountains and emerald valleys. At first, my stops were simply to shoot pictures, but soon they became more of a respite to catch my breath.

Some of the trails are not for the faint of heart! Thirty minutes later, I faced those typical challenges that all hikers learn to expect. Under my feet was a rock-cut narrow path that screamed for attention. One wrong move and I would go slipping backward. I hugged my Nikon protectively against me and labored upwards, my breathing tortuous and loud in my ears. At a corner I came across my guide sitting on a ledge, waiting for me. He offered me fresh lime juice which I gulped down in a flash. Then I fished out an apple and energy bar from my backpack and after a few minutes rest we were off again; or rather he was off and I trudged behind, munching my apple and thinking alarming thoughts. John Muir came to mind – “In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks.” I sure hoped, at the top, along with nature’s bounties, I would also get a comfortable bed that I could just collapse on. About forty minutes into the trek, I realized the forest had thickened around us. No more expansive views now, just rows and rows of thick foliage and vegetation. My guide pointed out varieties of trees and flowers – the blood-red Buransh, yellow wildflowers, Kafal trees, white plum blossoms – in a months time this forest would have a profusion of colors, he explained. The beauty and the silence were therapeutic and as I began to breathe in the pure oxygen I felt a sense of rejuvenation and hope. I didn’t know what I was hoping for, but it sure felt good to be alive. Towards the last leg of my climb, I was joined by two adorable canines from a nearby village who begged to share my energy bar and trekked alongside for a short distance. Finally, after walking for what seemed like an endless eternity, my guide announced we would be reaching in about five minutes.
Jilling Terraces
Tumblr media
My first view of Jilling Terraces was partially eclipsed by a magnificent view of the mountains. Directly opposite the property and rising to a height of over 7,000 feet, is the Nanda Devi (bliss giving goddess) Himalayan mountain range. In the glow of the evening sun, the snow-capped peaks seemed to be undulating in a mesmerizing wave – or was I just feeling giddy with relief that I had finally reached the top? Gratefully, I drank the cool water that was offered to me by my gracious hosts and turned my attention to Jilling Terraces.

The views are truly magnificent! The Chestnut House, according to the hotel website, is 80 years old and was built by a Sanskrit scholar for his Polish doctor wife who was pining for the cool climate of her home country. The present decor of the Colonial style bungalow is an intriguing blend of contemporary and rustic design – pretty easy to get lost in the ambiance of bonfires and bookshelves as I discovered in the next couple of days.

This was a welcomed sight for sore eyes after a day of hiking! The rooms are all designed with local fruit and flower themes. I was staying in the Buransh suite, so everything in my room was fashioned after the red Buransh flower, from the deep red lounger to the red motifs on the headboard and the wall art. The vase of fresh Buransh flowers on the coffee table lent that final personal touch.

Just look at that deep red color!
A Culinary Experience like no other
The cuisine of the Kumaon (Mountain) people distinctly reflects their Indo-Aryan, Indo-Iranian ancestry and during my stay at Jilling Terraces, I got to experience some authentic cuisine by native Kumaoni cooks. Everything that comes to the table is sourced from local farmers – simple yet delicious. In typical Asian fashion, there is a deep bond between the heart and the stomach. Crispy Okras tossed in pepper and onions, Red and yellow Lentils immersed in seasonings, Mint flavored aromatic chutneys, Cottage Cheese, and Eggplant delicacies, Chestnut Parathas, Spiced potatoes – all aimed to delight vegetarian taste buds. The meat lover in me found inspiration in Chilli Chicken and succulent pieces of mutton stewed in a copper pot with fragrant spices. The Italian Pizzas and Pasta should have clashed with the Chinese Momos and Manchurian, but surprisingly they didn’t. I washed it all down with the juice of the Buransh flower, which incidentally is a cure for heart ailments. Certain Kumaoni sweet dishes are native to Uttarakhand – Singori (sweetmeat in a leaf), Bal Mithai (Caramalised fudge made from cottage cheese) or the evergreen flaky melt-in-the-mouth Son Papdi. Though I didn’t get to taste it at Jilling Terraces, this mountain region is also famous for its Bhaang (Cannabis) Chutney made out of ground hemp seeds – yes, you read it right.
 Hiking in the Himalayas
At the end of every hike (and there were quite a few) I wanted to plant my own little flag of accomplishment – except I couldn’t muster up the energy to do so. I had heard of Leopard sightings too but was told they were not common. According to my guide, Bedh Prakash, the last leopard was spotted in November 2017, near the villages. He also made light of the threat a leopard would pose, adding that a human was much more dangerous. True mountain logic that. Still, I didn’t want to put it to the test, not when Bedh was only armed with a thin walking stick and a flask of ginger tea. The hiking trails took me through natural paths, dense forest areas, makeshift temples, some steep climbs and sinuous river streams. Kanarkha Hiking Trail: Distance – 8 km, Difficulty – Medium, Hiking time – 6 hrs This trail is at an incline of 70 degrees all the way to the mountain ridge where you are treated to panoramic valley views, terraced fields, and vegetable gardens. The city of Nainital is also visible in the distance. This is also the place to head to if you want to view a spectacular sunset. The Nanda Devi Himalayan Range is always visible – icily stoic and unmoving – as if mocking the transience of lesser beings. To get to the Kanarkha Village, take the downhill path from the ridge and walk for another hour until you reach the simple yet idyllic village. You can meet the people of this village and experience their content lifestyle.

A beautiful mountain top villa in Bhimtal, Uttarakand. Panyali Trail: Distance – 6.5 km, Difficulty – Medium, Hiking time – 5 hrs A comfortable hike with less inclination than the Kanarkha trail, this trail leads you through the thick forest to the picturesque Panayali Village. This is village hospitality at its best. Surrounded by pine and deodar trees you can continue walking uphill and have a picnic at the top ridge of the mountain. A 360-degree view of the valleys around is an added treat.

The most perfect spot to rest and enjoy the scenery! Gaula River Trail: Distance – 6.5 km, Difficulty – Hard, Hiking time – 8 hrs This is a strenuous hike and only experienced hikers are encouraged to walk this path. Once you get to the Panayali Village, continue downhill until you get to the gently flowing Gaula River. Chirping birds, Perennial streams, cascading waterfalls and clear natural pools are in plenty, however, the rocks that lead to these water bodies are slippery and caution is advised. Once you get to the pools, you can take a dip (not during monsoons). This is where you feel thankful for the packed lunch and refreshments carried by the guides.

It was a nice treat to see the trees in full bloom!
The Return of the Lone Traveler
When I finally bid goodbye to my mountain retreat, it was with a sense of deep self-actualization. I had found the colors of my spirit in those deep forests, walking alone through crooked paths, where everything seemed straight, through misty weather, where it was all crystal clear, in the dead of silence, where I heard everything and on paths strewn with dead leaves, where I felt completely alive. My return trek down to the Matial Village was done in an easy 45 minutes. Again a drive and the 6-hour train journey back to Delhi. I was briefly disoriented as I stepped into the bedlam of Delhi traffic at 9.30 pm – honking cars, screeching tires, dodging auto-rickshaws and the jostling impatience of people all headed somewhere. My peaceful time up in the mountains seemed like a dream. Inescapably, I was now reconnected to life. Photography by Shaly Pereira Read the full article
