A little peek at a fic from a prompt for “roommates” for Drake and Louisa...
***********************
When Drake sublet a room in NYC sight unseen, he knew he was taking a risk but generally he’s an easygoing guy and he takes most things pretty well. He didn’t flinch when “old world charm” had translated to 6th floor walkup without a functioning elevator. He hadn’t freaked out when “cozy” had turned out to mean 400 square feet chopped into two compact bedrooms, a kitchenette, and a minuscule bathroom. He didn’t even mind that “close to transportation” had turned out to mean a train that rattled all the windows when it roared past.
But now, looking down at the woman who had just unlocked the door and entered the apartment, he felt like the floor had fallen out from under him and his mind was reeling with something like panic.
“I, uh, thought Tyler said his roommate was Lou?”
The woman’s brown eyes crinkled at the corners as a wide, gorgeous smile graced her full lips and she laughed. Suddenly, Drake felt breathless in a way that made his chest ache way more than all the freakin’ stairs.
“Louisa Tennant,” she offered him a hand. “My friends call me Lou and you must be my new roommmate.”
One day until it’s time to start posting your responses to the In Lockdown With Keeley prompt challenge!
Remember the deadline is super relaxed so even if you get some inspiration a week from now or even a month, please feel free to post to the collection! The date was just to give everyone something to aim for.
Alex Drake deserved to stay with Gene Hunt or get Molly back or both.
Lady Agnes Holland did not deserve having her husband cheat on her with her own sister just months after having her second baby.
DI Lindsay Denton did not deserve her mistreatment and deserved better.
Julia Montague did not deserve being shot at and blown up (is she dead though???) and deserved to end up loved and cherished by David Budd.
Louisa Durrell did not spend 4 years on Corfu to not end up with Spiro, have Sven come out on the eve of their wedding, and witness Hugh getting stabbed.
I was watching "Me before you" and i realize the relationship between Will and Louisa is similar to Drake and MC's . At first they don't get along very well, but at the end they become friends and fell in love 💕❤

Hi @ifyouseekheart !! Thank you for the asks lovely!
1. Do you remember what was the first fanfic you’ve read in this fandom?
I do! It was one of @mrswalkerwritesagain Drake and Louisa one shots...I don’t remember exactly which one it was, but she was definitely the first author I read here, and Drake and Louisa will forever hold a piece of my heart.
4. Have you ever seen a character in a different light because of fanfic or fanart I’ve seen?
YES. I have said this before and I will continue to say it forever because that’s how long it will be true: I never cared a single lick about Liam before I read @zaffrenotes version of him. I didn’t like him in the game, I never sought out Liam x MC fics...I am a Drake girl through and through. But Donna’s Liam and Trina fics (she has several, an AU where they meet in college, an AU where Trina finishes school before they get married, and a series called You are the Reason that stays pretty close to cannon but ventures out into some other topics. They’re all fantastic. The sojourn series-Trina finishes school- is one of my favorite fanfic series out there.) This Liam continues to be the only Liam that holds my heart!
5. Recommend five fanfics from different writers that you’ve read lately.
Oh boy! There are so many great ones! But here are 5 of the most recent ones that blew my socks off:
Own Personal Superman- @the-everlasting-dream
Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler - @ooo-barff-ooo
Baby Let’s go to... - @brightpinkpeppercorn
The Tarp and Redecorating - @darley1101
Born Into Darkness- @speedyoperarascalparty
9. Do you create fanart/fanfics/edits/etc. yourself? Which one of your works is your favorite?
I do! I write fanfic like it’s going out of style! It’s tough to pick a favorite because I have a love/hate relationship with my work…but if I had to pick, it would be my Cross Space and Time series- a crossover between Endless Summer and Hero where both MCs try to make it back home. Honorable mention goes to The Broken Bits- a Bastien x OC series, and Scattershield, my first Ride or Die fic featuring Logan. They can all be found on my masterlist
10. Fluff or angst?
To write or to read? Honestly, either. I can appreciate a good ball of fluff, but I know that life isn’t all rainbows and that there is plenty of room for angst. I like when a story reads like reality- even if it involves fantasy elements- I like genuine interactions and feelings. If the story calls for a happy ending? Love it. If the story calls for tears? Love it. This wasn’t really an answer. Sorry.
6. Favorite fic (or one of them)?I don’t know that I can name just one ... but (and totally not sucking up) if I had to pick one it would be your Finally Free series. 😊 These three stories were some of the first I found when I started searching for more more more Drake on the web, back before I was even on tumblr, so they are the first ones to come to mind. And I can read them anytime and still love them. 💕Finally Free here:https://mrswalkerwrites.tumblr.com/post/167505887173/finally-free-part-3-drake-x-louisa-pg-1316. How do you feel about character death in fic?I’m fine with it if its part of the story. But personally I tend to stay away from too much angst and drama in the fanfiction (especially death). Reality is so hard, I like to read happy stories that make me smile and pull my heartstrings.30. Favorite porn fic?I honestly don’t know that I can answer this ... too much good smut out there! I love @boneandfur’s ability to make the most absurd combos sound so amazingly sexy. I love the range and variety that @mrswalkerwrites and @angstymarshmallow have in their smutty work, from soft and gentle to rough and naughty. I love how @laniquelovely has no boundaries in her work, she writes fantastic smut and she’s proud of it! We never get too thirsty for good smut in this fandom. 😊36. Do you like crossovers? If so, favorite crossover?Yes I love crossovers but only if they are done well! My personal favorite crossover is the Everything You Ever Wanted crossover by @lizeboredom for TRR and PM. It just flows so well and actually makes sense, I am in awe of how she incorporates the details of each world together. Check it out here:https://lizeboredom.tumblr.com/post/173727355325/everything-you-ever-wanted-a-trrpm-crossover44. How fluffy is too fluffy? Is there such a thing?!?! 😂 Honestly, I love fluffy but not when it’s so over the top and cheesy and I think this would never happen in real life. But apparently I like to ride that line in my own stories, so ... ??? Thanks so much for the ask @mrswalkerwrites!Send me a Fanfic Writing Ask!https://tmarie82.tumblr.com/post/177323607904/fanfiction-asks
