I have this headcannon of mine that Jamie is a child of divorce. Like Arthur(Joanna's husband) isn't actually Jamie's real father but his step father. His mom got divorced with other guy when Jamie was young and Zoe is his step sister. That makes Connor his half brother. I don't know why it just feels right to me.
ohhh, interesting! I love this hc. It gives a lot more depth to their dynamics (It also explains why Zoe is closer to Arthur, while Jamie is closer to Joanna)!
Maybe the reason why Arthur had difficulties showing emotions/vulnerability (which something Zoe also inherited) is because he really loved Zoe’s mother and she died when Zoe was 7-10 and it took away all of their joy. That’s until he met Joanna and Jamie. They were the sun personified and he (and Zoe) couldn’t but love them. Though they kept distance because they didn’t want to experience loss again.
Arthur and Zoe truly love Joanna, Jamie and Connor, but they’re afraid of their emotions as they consider it a weakness (it’s the unhealed trauma).
Arthur pushes and pressures Jamie to be more responsible and to ditch his emotions because he’s afraid for him. He sees how Jamie is totally in love with Nat, how he’s like when he’s in love, he sees how Jamie is driven by his emotions and it scares him because he doesn’t want his boy to suffer like he did. He wants what’s best for him. That’s why it strains their relationship, because to Jamie, Arthur doesn’t understand or try to understand him and to Arthur, Jamie is too young and reckless and he’s going to get hurt and he’s trying to protect him, but it’s not working. Then everything happens and they both learn how to communicate and start working on their father-son relationship more!
Thank you so much for sharing your hc with me, anon! I hope you didn’t mind that I expanded on it more, but it inspired me!

Am I understanding correctly that in agggtm there are the siblings Connor and Zoe and their mothers maiden name was MURPHY??
Like that can't be a coincidence
Maybe the reason for Jamies disappearance was that he found out to much about his siblings TRUE backstory

Just found this in my camera roll form 2021 lockdown XD
I know there are people missing but I made myself laugh re-reading it. Maybe I should remake it to be higher quality.

Is there anyone out there in the Firefly (2002) fandom who is interested in seeing gifs? I have drafted a bunch of gif sets but I don’t want to post them unless there’s interest:)

There is a certain level of humor and frustration felt through the first half of this episode as Lucius returns. We find that he's cobbled an identity together based off of Sheppard to gain the fame and recognition he longs for.
The frustrating thing is that Sheppard, Rodney, Teyla, Ronon, and Carson have been heroic. They've saved towns, risked their lives for people who don't know them, been bruised and bled for countless others, and they've never gotten the kind of adulation Lucius is getting in this town. He's using Ancient tech and their stories. Praise is lavished on him. Yet the people who are actually heroic, actually the good guys get hardly a glance on a good day, and run out of town on a bad day.
And then, look, they go and be heroic anyway. No praise. No nothing. They try to tell the town the truth, and they get derided, but when Kolya shows up they make sure they're not risking the town. (After a minor John! from Teyla.) They all try to die for Rodney. Sheppard not only saves his team but helps the town stand up after telling Lucius not to try and be a hero, because he knows that's dangerous.
It starts out frustrating to see them unacknowledged yet again, and then reminds us who and what real heroes are. Also, we get the cathartic moment of Sheppard finally putting Kolya down and ridding the Pegasus galaxy of that constant danger. Can you imagine? After the torture, Todd, and what Kolya put Weir through, to finally see him go down? Nice.
Also, this episode made me think of these:
