Dragon King – the god of water and dragons in Chinese mythology

Many dragons appear in Chinese folklore, of which the Dragon King is the leader. Also known as the Dragon God, the Dragon King is a prominent figure in Chinese art and religion. He is adopted by both Taoism and Buddhism and is the ruler of all water. Known as Long Wang in China, he has both human and dragon forms and can switch between dragon and human forms. Despite his intimidating and ferocious nature, Long Wan is regarded as a benevolent deity who brings good luck and chi energy to people living near the sea.

The Dragon King is a Chinese water and weather god. He is regarded as the dispenser of rain, commanding over all bodies of water. He is the collective personification of the ancient concept of the lóng in Chinese culture.

In East Asian cultures, dragons are most often shown as large, colorful snakelike creatures. While the dragons sometimes have qualities of a turtle or fish, they are most likely seen as enormous serpents.

While some named dragons are associated with specific colors, the dragon king can be shown in any shade. Like other Chinese dragons, he has a “horse-like” head, sharp horns and claws, and a hair-like beard.

Like many weather gods around the world, Long Wang was known for his fierce temper. It was said that he was so ferocious and uncontrollable that only the Jade Emperor, the supreme deity in Chinese Taoism, could command him. His human form reflects this ferocity. He is shown as a noble warrior in elaborate bright red robes. He usually has a fierce expression and poses with a sword.

During the Tang dynasty, the Dragon King was also associated with the worship of landowners and was seen as a guardian deity to protect homes and subdue tombs. Buddhist rain-making rituals were learnt in Tang dynasty China. The concept was introduced to Japan with esoteric Buddhism and was also practised as a ritual of the Yin-Yang path (Onmyōdō) in the Heian period.

世界中の多くの気象の神々と同様、龍王は激しい気性で知られていた。あまりに獰猛で制御不能だったため、玉皇大帝にしか彼を指揮できなかったと言われている。

唐の時代、龍王はまた、大地主の崇拝と結びついて、家を守り、墓を鎮める守護神と見なされていた。仏教の雨乞いの儀式は、唐代の中国に学んだ。この概念は密教とともに日本に伝わり、平安時代には陰陽道の儀式としても行われていた。

Dragons conquered Altland and humanity. They reigned supreme for millennia, chief among them the Dragon Gods.

But one of the Dragon God pitied the oppressed humanity, Aleksandyr, and according to legends it was him who freed humanity and destroyed the cruel Dragon Gods.

I was living in the forest with a pet bunny inside a fallen over log. For years we lived like this until one day we were pushed out of the forest by some humans. In response we became Kaiju monsters, waging a genocidal war against all human kind. They built mechs to fight back, for a time it worked. Until we made a deal with a colossal dragon god so big it could wrap itself around the world. Gaining powers bestowed upon us and transforming into dragons we were finally able to whip out all of humanity.

He was fire-made flesh, a true living being of destruction and carnage.

Yet the God dragon was far from destructive and monstrous when his large form was curled around you, purring in delight with no way of letting you go.

"Gods, Ranayt, your heat is smouldering." you groaned, his black scales felt as molten as lava against the flushness of your skin. Yet, Ranayt the Black was one of affection and pure fondness for your touch.

"You're too squirmy, little human," he purred, the rumble reverberating through you, undulating like waves in the ocean, "you're like a little worm."

You certainly squirmed like one, wriggling out from the cocoon of his tightly wrapped scales.

Ranayt chortled at your attempts, but his mere strength and size alone made it hard to even move an inch.

"Ranayt..."

"Yes, my little worm?" He growled playfully.

"You're crushing me."

His scales loosen just enough to let you swivel to glare playfully up at him, but he only leans closer to your face, puffing warm air into your hair.

"You smell good."

"Ranayt..." you blush, but it doesn't stop his administration. "Gods, I love when you’re underneath me."

You know he can hear the spike in your heartbeat, but he just chuckles deeply in a raucous roar.

"My little worm grows flustered," he affectionately rubs the side of his head against yours lovingly, "but your dragon will keep you safe."

A draft sketch of one of my Nine Dragon Gods. Vegor the Silent, The Dragon God of Nature, Prosperity and Peace. I got a good critique from both of my friends on Discord and discussed suggestions to make Lord Vegor more of his namesake and be turtle based. This will apply with the other five dragon gods that were drawn (except Gongo the Wise as he is fine the way he is and the other two who are still in development).

Evil RPG God Yugi!

He starts out as this other worldly God of Destruction that threatens to destroy the world, but thanks to 7 Sages they manage to seal away the beast. But scriptures have said the beast will awaken once more if the 7 seals are broken, which an evil cult is doing. The King of the land has offered a great reward to whoever can find this cult and stop them from freeing the evil god. A Warrior (Joey), A Mage (Anzu), A Ranger (Tristan), and Cleric (Ryou) have taken this challenge.

Along the way they encounter a very small (about the size of an apple) creature who is alone and scared, so they take him in as their pet. At first he's only able to speak in hisses and clicks but they find the more time they spend with him and the closer they become and bigger and more human like he becomes. Eventually they discover the sleeping god was reborn as this small creature and the cult has taken him and intend to resurrect his true form.

They mange to do so and the god of destruction is awake once more ready to end the world after taking down every kingdom's champions, mages, warriors, all of them fail to stop the Evil God. It is only when he remembers the friendship he made the team of heroes is when Yugi stops his rampage and returns to being the gentle creature he once was again.

He chooses instead to become the God of Bonds and Friendship.

Dragon God x Reader

A/N: I'm gonna make this into a story I'm kinda lazy rn so I'm just posting a prologue/introduction

The ancient dragon god has gone unrivalled for centuries-- until you, a brave adventurer, decides to take him on. he stares you down, observing every inch of you before reciting in a silky smooth voice; "What business does such a pitiful being like you have here?" his words flow off his tongue like honey, his voice intoxicating you, practically leaving you speechless. he scoffed demeaningly at your small figure after getting another look at you, thinking you stand no chance against a diety of his tier.

"Oh my apologies my dear God..... Forgive me for trespassing on your land" You bow in front of him as a way of asking for forgiveness. The ancient dragon god's lip curls into a sneer as he takes in your submission.

"Rise," he hisses, his voice like molten gold dripping onto the cold stone floor. "You have my attention" You stand up properly waiting for the god to give you permision to leave.

"You may remain," he says, his tone still laced with disdain. "But know this, human: I could crush you with a single breath. Yet, for some reason, I find your audacity... amusing." He paces around you, studying every detail of your appearance.

"What do you mean my god? It's inhumane for me to be in the presence of a god" You speak up, now becoming afraid of talking back to a god.

The ancient dragon god lets out a hearty laugh, his deep, rumbling voice shaking the very foundation of the grand chamber. "Ah, human," he says, his eyes gleaming with mischief, "you really are quite entertaining.

Tbh idk how to feel about this story so far this is just a little introduction to the character and how the reader got there.
