Morning was slowly dawning in Beacon Hills, the sun's rays spreading across the land as a new day began. It didn't take long for sunlight to reach the loft. Light burst through the large window of the master bedroom, bathing a sleeping Derek Hale in the heat of the day. The dark-haired werewolf was still quite asleep when the light hit his closed eyes, although he stirred it a bit, he knew it was a signal to get up.
The first thing Derek would normally do when he woke up and got his bearings properly would be to turn around to look at his boyfriend, Y/n, who was still sleeping. Although, in doing so, he realized that he wasn't there. For a moment he thought he must have already gotten up to freshen up. Until he felt a familiar pressure in his stomach.
The sour wolf chuckled as his hand reached for the cover that covered it and lifted it to see the culprit. His boyfriend was there, a smile on his face as his soft, slender hands caressed his man's well-defined abs. Derek smiled back as he covered them both, letting the light hit his naked bodies. The shorter man laughed as he planted a soft kiss on he stomach. "Well, good morning to you too." Derek smiled at his boyfriend as he started to sit up, only for him to press his hand to his chest, wordlessly telling he that he wanted he to lie down for this. He which he did. Him resting on the soft mattress with his hands clasped behind his head as he watched his boyfriend move closer to his crotch.
Just as Y/n reached his destination, he looked at his stud. "Good morning, my love. Did you sleep well?" As he asked such a casual question, his delicate hand grasped Derek's ebony member, which was already swollen from a case of morning sex, but he slowly grew more erect as his boyfriend licked his tongue bare meat. Y/n stopped at the pink head of the tip, swirling he warm, wet tongue around the glans. He was pleased to learn that his work had already earned his boyfriend's complaints.
The werewolf already had a wide smile on his face, feeling his boyfriend's tongue sliding down his member was always a wonderful thing to wake up to. "I slept like a child-" he spoke after a lustful moan, his tongue still polishing his cock as he spoke. "-How could I not when you tried to drain me completely?" Derek chuckled and maintained eye contact with his boyfriend who was currently licking the drop of precum from his urethra, watching as Y/n savored the taste before kissing his glans.
"Drain you? Please." The boy rolled his eyes playfully as he gave the shaft in his hand a good grip, barely able to wrap his fingers around the pillar of werewolf flesh in his grip. Y/n wasn't a king of size, not by a long shot, but still he thanked the gods that his mistress was not only a hunk but he also had the equipment. He just couldn't help it, moving his head to his shaft to lick him. He knew his boyfriend was enjoying this, feeling it throb in he hand and against his tongue.
Oh how Derek loved how proficient his boy was with his tongue, sometimes all Y/n needed to get him off was a good tongue job. But this was not one of those days, the sour wolf rested his head on his hands, absorbing the pleasurable sensations. Y/n's tongue trailed along one of the thick veins that ran the length of his cock, dappling his flesh with little kisses until he reached the tip of it again. The boy could keep soaping his shaft, but he wanted more. And he knew Derek would want the same thing. Derek raised an eyebrow as he turned his attention back to his boyfriend, watching the boy wrap his lips around the head of his cock, causing him to let out a short moan as his tongue swirled around the sensitive foreskin of his member just before he fell take more and more of it into your mouth.
The man moaned as he placed his hands on the bed, rising to a sitting position as Y/n took more inches of his cock into his mouth and throat. "Fuck… That's it… Take it deeper." Derek encouraged him as he placed his hand on his head. For the last week, Derek has been training Y/n's throat to take his shaft completely. Not that he wasn't good at sucking him off, in fact he gave him the best blowjob he's ever had. But there is always room for improvement. And Y/n agreed, loving how he throat gaped as he took more of his man meat, though in the back of he mind he hoped it would never get better because of how much he loved the way Derek reacted to he gagging which he certainly did loved.
The wolf couldn't help it, shifting his hips a little and pushing the length of him further into his boyfriend's welcoming throat. Then Y/n of course started to gag, with Derek's hand on the back of his head, he couldn't pull away from him. And he loved it. Drooling around his cock and making a mess in his lap, he was lost in his own pleasure at the moment. While Derek made the most of it, grabbing hold of his silky-smooth hair and thrusting his hips into his mouth. "Fuck…suck that dick, honey…!" Derek moaned as his cock explored deeper into his boyfriend's throat. Pretty soon Y/n touched his thigh, as much as they both loved him he had a limit.
After a few more thrusts, Derek lifted his head, sliding his shaft out of his mouth with a groan. Y/n gasped for air and coughed a little, all with a lecherous grin on his face. "D-Derek…I love it when you force me to swallowyour dick…" He laughed as he pressed his cheek against his spit covered penis, stroking and planting small kisses on it. He didn't care if his saliva was going to stain the skin on his cheek, his morning shower would take care of that. First, he had to take care of his man. But what kind of man would Derek be if he didn't return the favor?
Next thing Y/n knew, he boyfriend was spreading he legs for him. Derek smiled at the prize of him, the narrow pink hole of him in the middle of those two globes of flesh that gleamed in the morning sunlight. Every time he faced him, he was always in awe of his beauty. Though he wasn't going to keep him waiting, Derek clung to his soft yet firm thighs as he thrust his face between his buttocks. His tongue licked slowly along that tight little hole, causing Y/n to shudder and moan in pleasure. "Oooh, Derek…" he cried out as the wolf dragged his tongue deeper into his ass, gently teasing with small movements. Y/n clung to the sheets, he was quite sensitive and he knew Derek would abuse that fact. Feeling his tongue open his hole as he explored deeper.
Derek could never get enough of he sweet nectar, lapping up as much of he flavor as he could as he pleasured him. Hearing his moans made it all the more worthwhile. Pushing his tongue in as deep as he could, he could feel the inner walls of him tighten around him. Y/n's body was writhing from the sensations he was dealing with, and he still wasn't going to give up. Pulling his tongue out of him, Derek returned to the entrance, gently wrapped his lips around the wet hole of pleasure and moved one of his hands down, thrusting two fingers inside him. His boy pussy clenched around his digits and shuddered as he sucked on it. He knew all the right buttons to push.
"Derek! Please…! F-Fuck me, fuck me!" Y/n begged to get out. With he boyfriend sticking he fingers inside him, he was already on the brink of climaxing. Derek knew it, he could feel it. And as much as he begged he to pummel him to satisfaction, he wanted him to come first. The thrust of his fingers quickened the pace as he licked what he could of he anus. His boyfriend loved every second of it, his body still squirming as he felt the pressure building inside him. He continued to cry out in pleasure, holding on long enough until his orgasm hit him. His hips shot up and his body convulsed as his cock came unstimulated, staining the sheets with his seed. The boy moaned his boyfriend's name as he climaxed.
Like a good boyfriend, Derek made sure to clean up his mess. Licking up the sweet juices that leaked from his cock, pulling his fingers out of his love channel and licking them back. He smiled as he looked at his boyfriend, still recovering from his orgasm. He was beautiful, watching his chest rise and fall as he caught his breath, the pretty smile on his face… The perfect opportunity to tease him. The werewolf dropped to his knees, positioning himself between his legs, grabbing the throbbing length of him and dropping directly onto Y/n's now lubricated hole. He looked at his loved, then at the hunk of stud meat ready to rearrange his entrails. "Do it. Fuck me." He smiled at he, biting his lower lip.
Derek didn't need to be told twice, he just chuckled as he moved his shaft into his position. Grinding his member against his drenched entrance just before pushing the tip of his glans against his hole. He looked at Y/n, seeing that needy look plastered on his face. With a powerful thrust, his cock pushed past his resistance, into the warmth of his channel. The pair groaned as Derek leaned closer to his body, letting Y/n wrap his legs around his waist. They gazed longingly into each other's eyes, seeing the love for each other. They both leaned in for a passionate kiss as Derek's hips went to work. Pumping his cock deep into he boy pussy, making his boyfriend moan at the kiss they shared.
They soon broke the kiss and the wolf groaned, each time he thrust his hips back, the paw lock of his boyfriend forced them down. His thrusts were fast and powerful, slamming his hips against his and he heavy seed sac slamming into his rear. His legs tightened around him as he groaned, tightening he inner walls around him to milk him for all he was worth. The sound of their bodies meeting filled the air, the only thing louder being Y/n's cries of lust as he clawed at Derek's back. He growled at the feel of his nails digging into his back, but that didn't stop him, the wolf endured, pounding into his tight hole.
Y/n could feel every inch of his wolf's shaft caressing his insides, from the width of the crown to the base of the mast. He loved how full he felt, and he could feel a second orgasm creeping up on him. "Fuck! Don't stop, don't duck!" He cried out as Derek quickened the pace of his thrusts, he knew he was going to walk strangely after this. Although it was all worth it. "Y-yes, yes!" His voice and his body trembled, holding Derek close to his body as he moaned. Derek moaned over he cries of love, feeling the pressure building in his own kidneys.
The wolf looked at his boy, growling as his hips kept up. "Almost… There, honey…" she warned him, as if he cared. Each stroke of his cock brought them both closer to his tipping points, the head of his cock alight as he kissed the inside of him. Even as he tightened around him, he just pushed through. "I'll fill you up!" Derek groaned as he gave he everything he had. Without warning he felt it tighten around his shaft a clear sign he was cumming, Y/n screeched as he came with his body convulsing once more releasing a second load of his seed that morning. That was his signal to finally let go. His last thrusts pushed him to the edge, Derek groaning as he came. Rope after rope of his seed painted inside him, as they both mounted their climaxes, Derek kissed his boyfriend's cheek before slowly releasing his cock from his well-used hole. He rolled onto his side and snuggled up to Y/n as they basked in the afterglow. "Fuck… I love you, Y/n…"
Once Y/n finally sorted out his thoughts, he wrapped his arms around Derek, letting a small giggle escape his lips. "I love you too, Derek… But we really need that shower right now." The couple laughed together as they hugged. His shower could wait.

Argent’s House
Derek kept his hands folded as he rested his elbows on his knees, leaning forward in the chair, deep in thought.
He came to Argent’s to hopefully get some information about the things that materialized in his loft. But he couldn’t seem to focus on anything Argent had said. He was too focused, too worried about you. If he had known you’d get upset over him looking for his mom, he never would’ve done it. But even the words that were coming out of his mouth then; he didn’t mean them. They just came out.
“Derek.” Scott called him. He glanced over at Isaac and Argent; wondering if they were noticing as well. They were. “Derek.” Scott called again this time reaching over and tapping Derek’s shoulder.
“What?” Derek asked in a low tone, already frustrated. He didn’t turn to fully look at Scott.
“Did you listen to anything Argent just said?” He asked.
“Yeah.” He lied. “He doesn’t know anything. But he knows a guy who might know something.” He shrugged, then looked at Argent. “Do you know where he is?”
“We were actually hoping Y/N could help—,” Isaac chimed in.
“Why?” Derek interrupted him. “You have me.”
“Yeah, well,” Scott spoke up this time, “those things weren’t scared of her. They didn’t try to attack her or mark her like they did the others.”
“What do you mean?” Argent asked them.
“Those things were going after Aiden.” Alison told her dad. “Y/N protected him. She approached them and they kind of just stared at each other until the sun came up.”
Argent looked down at his desk in thought. The others remained quiet and waited patiently. “Derek, can you get here her?” He finally looked at the other man.
“No.” Derek responded firmly. The others looked at him surprised. “She’s not here anymore. She left.”
“Left where?” Scott asked. “Can’t we call her to come back? We could really use her help with those things.”
Issac pulled something out of his pocket and turned away from the others, facing the corner.
“She’s gone, Scott. She’s not coming back. Why do you even need her? You're an alpha and you have me. We can take care of this.”
Scott stared at Derek as if wanting to say something more, but he remained quiet; until a ringtone interrupted the awkward silence. Derek froze when the phone started ringing in his pocket. Isaac turned around holding his cellphone in his hand.
“Why do you have her phone?” He waved his cellphone in his hand before sliding it back into his pocket. Derek glared at Isaac.
Derek sighed. “I don’t know where she is.” He admitted. “I was taking her to the airport and she wolfed out on me. She ran off. She left her phone and her sunglasses behind. I sent Cora and Erica to look for her. I haven’t heard back from them.”
“She wolfed out on you?” Argent asked. Derek looked up at him through his lashes and nodded. Argent clenched his jaw. “She could be anywhere. We can only hope she’s not out there killing anyone—,”
“No.” Derek shook his head. “She’s not. I could see it on her face—,” for a moment your face from earlier flashed in his mind, “she didn’t want to shift but she couldn't help it.”
It was my fault. Again. He wanted to say, but he didn't.
“We can’t wait for her to show up.” Argent informed them. “I’ll just have to get to Katashi on my own.”
“What can I do to help?” Scott asked.
“You kids go to school.” He told the three kids. “Take care of each other. Those things will be coming back at sundown. Derek, as soon as you hear from Y/N or the other girls, have her call me. Tell them Im looking for her.”
Isaac walked up to Derek and held his hand out. Derek looked up at the young man, glaring. He scoffed, pulling out Y/N’s phone from his pocket and slapping it into Isaac’s palm.
“I’ll make sure she gets this back.” He winked at Derek.
Derek let out a low growl and then looked at Argent. Argent didn't say a word, only shrugged.

Beacon Hills Woods
Neither Erica nor Cora wanted to leave you. And honestly, you felt they would be much safer with you anyway. Those things, whatever they were, didn't try to mark you. They didn't even try to go after Aiden either.
You were only assuming the situation would be similar if they reappeared. But it also could’ve just been luck. You didn’t want to take any chances.
You let out a heavy sigh and looked up at the sky. Although the trees covered most of your view, you could still tell; you were losing daylight. And you were getting unbelievably tired. You felt it long before when you shifted back to normal; you just didn’t want to admit it to yourself.
“It’s getting late.” Cora announced, as if she had just read your mind. “We should go back.”
You nodded to yourself, stopping in your tracks and turning around to face the girls. “You’re right. We shouldn't be out here either in case those things show up.”
****
Cora held her phone in her hand, watching with every step for the phone to get connected to service again. She was restless now. All that time in the woods without being able to communicate with her brother. She knew he needed to know you were all ok. That you were ok.
When she noticed the small bar turn solid she immediately began dialing Derek’s number. Erica’s phone began pinging with every notification that were barely coming through as well.
Cora continued walking, leading the way back to the car as she waited for Derek to answer. Erica was going through her messages, her face growing worried as she continued to read them one by one.
“What is it?” You ask her. Aside from seeing how worried she was getting, you could smell her fear as well. It was too strong for you to ignore. “Everything ok?”
“Uhm,” she all but whispered, “Stiles is in the hospital.” She announced, although she had a hinge of doubt in her tone.
“Is he ok?” You asked casually.
“I don’t know.” She looked at you with worried eyes. “Should I call him? What if he doesn’t answer?”
“It’s ok. We can check on him. Cora?”
Cora nodded. “Derek didn’t answer.” She put her phone away. “We can stop to check on Stiles first.”

Word Count: 3.5K Requested by @gracelynn318: "Derek or Stiles finding out that their significant other (the reader) is pregnant and they try to keep it secret for as long as possible" Warnings: pregnancy, pregnancy symptoms (vomiting, nausea, fatigue)
Summary: Derek Hale and (Y/N) have been together for a long time, and they didn't know something was missing from their lives until it arrived unexpectedly. And all they want to do is revel in the moment for as long as they can, by themselves.
A/N: this story follows 0% of canon, just the character's names. will admit. I am a horrible Teen Wolf fan that has yet to see season 5 and 6, and I've also yet to watch the movie. So, definitely an AU 😬also, be on the lookout for tonight or tomorrow for another surprise regarding this request 😉😉
Tumblr media
Derek had noticed the change long before (Y/N) had. Long before she knew why she spent her days expelling her meals down the toilet drain, before she understood why her body craved more food than she could keep down, before she had even noticed that a month had passed and her period had not arrived.
It came late at night. The soft putter of a heartbeat that felt so far that it could have been confused with the sound of rain against the pavement. They had been lying in bed, the exhaustion of living in Beacon Hills the only thing they needed to crash at night. But the sound had been bothering Derek. The continuous rhythm didn’t allow the wolf to lose himself in much-needed slumber. The sound kept him up, especially from where it was coming from.
“(Y/N),” he whispered, running his hand up and down her arm to wake her. “(Y/N), baby, wake up.”
“Mm,” she groaned groggily, cuddling to his body tightly. “Go to sleep, Derek.”
“(Y/N), I gotta ask you something. Wake up.”
“We can talk in the morning,” she whined. “I’m tired right now.”
“It’s important,” he chuckled softly. “I need your complete focus.”
With a loud exhale, (Y/N) sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. The sheet fell from her torso, and the coldness of the night made her skin erupt in goosebumps. She rarely got angry with Derek, but she was coming quite close at that very moment. “You better have a good reason to wake me, Der,” she said. “I’m so tired I might just put off killing you until tomorrow.”
“Listen, please,” he said. “When was the last time you got your period?”
“What?” the girl questioned. “You seriously just woke me up to ask about my cycle?”
“More or less. Just answer. Did you get it last month?”
It took her a moment to think. The grogginess of being woken up still clutched her mind, and recounting the past weeks was hard. But her body startled awake as she realized she had not gotten her shark week in a month and a half. That fact alone did not scare her. She had always been irregular, and in moments of stress, it was more likely than not that she skipped a cycle. The problem was that not only had she missed a period, she had been feeling sick for the past three weeks. And the math was not too hard to do.
“I-I didn’t,” she stammered. “W-why are you asking?”
“Oh my god,” he answered. “Oh my god!”
“What? What’s wrong?”
Instead of answering, Derek pressed his ear to her stomach until he could hear the sound clearly. Alongside (Y/N)’s quickening heartbeat, a quieter, steady pattern joined. It was too indistinguishable now. “You’re pregnant,” he said. So quiet he wasn’t sure if he had said it at all. “There’s a baby in there. Our baby.”
“Pregnant…” (Y/N) could not believe the word even as it rolled out of her tongue. “I can’t believe it.”
“We’ll go to Deaton tomorrow, but I’m certain. I can hear their heart beating in there.”
(Y/N)’s mind was reeling. Pregnant, she thought to herself. The word felt foreign. So did her body. Derek had noticed the change before her. How could she not have known that a life was growing inside her? How could she ever be a mother when she did not even know herself?
Without realizing it, tears fell down her cheeks. She felt weak and panicked. The strong woman that had faced the biggest dangers and far scarier monsters trembled with the thought of a life depending on her for survival. It was one thing to volunteer to protect the members of the pack. They were old enough to fend for themselves. It was another to be responsible for the life and survival of another human.
“Hey,” Derek called. His voice sounded like it was underwater. So far away that she could barely hear it. “Baby, what’s going on?”
She hadn’t noticed that she had stood from the bed and was pacing around their room. Her breathing was shallow, and her chest heaved as she took in short breaths, trying to steady herself. Tears kept falling faster than she could wipe them away. They warmed her cheeks before the air turned them cold. It was the only thing that grounded her.
And Derek. Always Derek.
He had gotten off the bed, and within a second, he was wrapping his arms around her. The warmth from his skin calmed her. It brought her senses back to the moment, steadying her rampant heart.
“What’s wrong, (Y/N)?” he spoke into the crook of her neck. “Tell me what I can do to make it better.”
“I’m scared, Derek,” she sighed, tightening her grip around him. “A baby. Here. Now.”
“Why not here?” Derek smiled, his hands running through her hair. “Why not now? With you as their mother, that baby could be born underground, and they would be the luckiest child in the world.”
“How could you be so sure?” (Y/N) cried. “I forget things all the time, I’m clumsy, I can barely redeem myself when it comes to fighting. If it weren’t for my weapons, I wouldn’t bring much to the fight against our enemies. What good would I be to protect a child? How could I be entrusted with their entire upbringing?”
“Oh, (Y/N). You’re far more valuable than what you bring to a fight.” His hands cradled her face, the green of his eyes boring into hers. “You are the most caring person I know. If it weren’t for you, I would have killed half of the pack by now. You’re smart. You’re funny. And if anyone should be terrified of becoming a parent, it should be me.”
“Come on,” she scoffed jokingly, her tears finally subsiding. “You’d be an amazing father. Temperamental, but great nonetheless.”
“Well, I’m glad it at least got you laughing,” he grinned. “How about we just take this one day at a time, baby? Make sure we take things slow. Tell people on our own time. Instead of going to the doctor, we buy a pregnancy test at the pharmacy; confirm what I already know.”
“But if you can hear the heartbeat, I am sure all the other wolves will, too,” she worried. “How am I supposed to take things as they come when everyone will know the second they come here?”
“Then, I won’t let anyone back here,” he smiled. “I’ll have them meet me at the warehouse or at Argent’s place. We can say you’re sick with something and won’t be there. Or that you went to visit family out of state –I don’t know. The point is, we can do this, baby. I know we can.”
“Well, I do admire your tenacity,” she chuckled, kissing his lips softly and hugging him again. “One day at a time, right?”
“One day at a time.”
And it worked. For two months, at least.
That very morning, he went out and returned home with five pregnancy tests and a bouquet of flowers. And five minutes later, they all showed an array of dark pink plus signs and the word Pregnant on them. Just like that, it had been confirmed. A new baby Hale would be coming to Beacon Hills in eight months.
They were excited. Of course, they were. But they couldn’t help the terror that overtook them as well. Bringing a new life into their world was a scary thought. The fact that anyone with knowledge of their child could use them against them was terrifying. Still, they wanted that baby more than anything they had wanted before.
The child that grew inside of (Y/N) was the tangible representation of their love. Evidence that everything life had thrown at them had not been able to push them apart, not for a second. They had been through hell and back, always together, and they had come out of every single occasion stronger than before. That baby was the final piece to their equation.
The next day, they went to the first available OB/GYN about an hour from the town. The doctor confirmed what they already knew, adding the new fact that she was around seven weeks along. The process was more than uncomfortable, but the result was well worth it. A tiny blob appeared on the screen, and the sound of a rapid heartbeat filled their ears. It made tears well up in their eyes. That tiny thing would soon turn into their baby. And even though it didn’t even have a distinguishable shape, they had fallen in love with them.
At first, they thought they would pass the first trimester in bliss. That they would only grow more and more excited as the days passed. And they would have. Had it not been for all the symptoms that overtook (Y/N).
She spent most of her day hunched over the toilet seat, emptying whatever was in her stomach. Even when she thought she could keep food down, an hour or two later, she would be in the bathroom letting it out. And if she wasn’t vomiting, she was ransacked with deep waves of nausea. Then, her breasts started to swell, painful jabs running through her every few days. In addition to heartburn and fatigue, it made her question just how worth it a baby could be.
But Derek had been attentive as ever, if not a little overbearing. He had kept his promise of moving where the meetings were held, claiming that the loft was under renovation while (Y/N) was out of town for a bit. It wasn’t a complete lie, though. He used his downtime to clean up around the house and fix things he had put off for far too long.
He fed her saltine crackers and electrolyte drinks, rubbed her back, and held her hair, and he loved her. Every day and every night, he loved her. Even when he had to stay up cleaning the bathroom or he had to carry her back to bed. He loved her through everything.
“You did this to me,” she had groaned one day. “All I want is to eat chips and pickles, but I can’t keep anything down.”
“I know, and I’m sorry,” he responded, drawing circles on her back as he cradled her body in the bathroom. “Hopefully, in a week, it’ll subside. You’re almost out of the first trimester, and the morning sickness should get better.”
“Stop reading pregnancy books,” she whined. “By the time this bun is fully baked, you’ll know more than me.”
“Isn’t that a good thing?” Derek chuckled but swallowed his laughter as (Y/N) gifted him an angry scowl. “Okay, okay. I think the ten books I’ve read will do.”
(Y/N) remained quiet and threw her head against his chest. His arms snaked around her body, a comfort she allowed herself to sink into. The warmth from his body felt nice against her shivering skin. But just his presence was enough to comfort her, regardless of the words she spoke.
“I’m sorry I’ve been snappy these past few days,” she sighed. Her eyes closed as he wrapped his arms tighter around her, her head falling against his chest. “I love this baby, and I love you, but I don’t love puking all the time. And peeing all the time. And being tired all the time. I want to fast forward to the next few months.”
“Hey, you can be snappy with me all you want. I can take it,” he said with a smile. “I will be right here every step of the way because I love you. More than you could ever know.”
“Even when I’m all big and bloated?” (Y/N) chuckled, her hands falling onto the growing small bump. “They're already trying to deform my body.”
“Well, at least you’re glowing.”
“No,” she sighed. “That’s just sweat.”
“Then you look beautiful covered in sweat,” he laughed. “Now, let’s get you to bed. Alright?”
(Y/N) could only nod and wrap her arms around his neck as he carried her back to bed, laying right next to her. Even if he couldn’t take this discomfort away, he was trying his best to make things better for her.
Another week passed, and things started to shift. The woman would only occasionally feel the need to throw up her food, but the constant nausea and heartburn had subsided. And once (Y/N) saw her baby's small fingers and feet in their 12-week ultrasound, she knew it had all been worth it.
She also knew they couldn’t keep the secret to themselves any longer.
The pack had become angsty. Wondering when (Y/N) would be coming back from her supposed trip. Two and a half months was far too long to just be with family. With no imminent danger in sight, they had too much time to check up on everyone else.
“I think it’s time we tell them,” (Y/N) told Derek as they watched a movie. She cradled her small bump, something she had unconsciously started to do. “We’re almost at the five-month mark, and I think it’ll be too hard to hide.”
“Do we really?” he groaned. “I can just keep you hidden here until the nine months are up. They don’t have to know a thing.”
“You would really keep the mother of your child sequestered in these walls until I give birth?”
“Maybe even more,” he shrugged. “Maybe I’ll keep you here forever.”
“You’re quite funny, Mr. Hale,” she chuckled. “But they are our friends —our family. They deserve to know there’s one more person to protect.”
“I’ve just really liked this time,” he sighed. His chin rested on her shoulder, his beard tickling her exposed skin. “You know, just you and me. Basking in the time we won’t have once everyone knows and once the baby is here. It’s all I’ve ever wanted, (Y/N). A family of my own, that I can love and protect. A home that’s ours.”
“And we will have that,” she smiled. “We’re just allowing more love in. The best part, at the end of the day, we can just kick them out.”
“When you put it that way,” he laughed before kissing her lips, savoring her. “Alright, fine. We’ll tell them next Saturday.”
“Thank you, Der. It’s gonna be great.”
And it should have.
Had it not been for the million things that went wrong that week. The A/C was busted for a total of four days, a pipe burst in one of the bathrooms, the paint they had ordered for the nursery had been put on back order, and the Camaro had to be taken into the shop for tuning. Thing after thing occurred, piling onto an already stressful time.
Nevertheless, the week came and went. And before either of them knew it, Saturday had rolled in.
To say (Y/N) was nervous was an understatement. For some reason, anxiety was taking over her body. Its claws dug themselves deep into her being. It made her veins run cold and her heart speed. She didn’t know how any of them would react to the baby. Even to the fact that they had kept it from them for so long. And although Derek tried his best to calm her worries, they had already made a home inside her head.
“God, what if they hate the fact that I’m pregnant?” (Y/N) worried as she laid out more food than necessary on the kitchen counter. “What if they find the idea of bringing a child into a messed up world to be the worst thing ever?”
“Who cares, baby? It’s our child,” Derek tried to reassure. “We are the ones that will be raising them. The ones to protect them. Always and forever.
“But they say it takes a village, Der. And that is one thing that I know is true. I mean, at some point, we will need their help.”
“And you really think we won’t have it,” he said, rounding the kitchen island. His hands traveled her body and, in one swift move, had her sitting on the counter. At eye level, he could stare directly into her glossy eyes. “We have been through everything with these people. Even the ones I hated at the beginning have become my closest friends. I’m 100% sure they’ll be thrilled that you’re pregnant.”
He snaked his hand to her chin, pulling her down for a soft kiss. But once their lips made contact, it was too much of a temptation to keep it chaste. Soon enough, their tongues danced together, and their hands pulled each other closer. It left them breathless and excited, wanting —needing more.
“Uh, we can come back if it’s a bad time,” Stiles’ voice rang through the apartment, startling them apart. “But you guys did invite us here. So, it’s kind of bad on you guys.”
“No. Yes! I mean, it’s not a bad time,” (Y/N) chuckled as she jumped off the counter, hiding her stomach with a comically large bowl. “We just got carried away, I guess.”
“The one day they decide to show up on time,” Derek grumbled under his breath. “Come in, why don’t you?”
Before they knew it, the apartment was filled with werewolves, a banshee, other werehumans and supernatural beings, and their very own abominable snowman. The couple remained in the kitchen as everyone situated themselves, whispering under their breath what the best way to go about it would be.
“Not to be pushy,” Peter called out. “But if you guys only called us over for some food, I have better things to do than hang around children all day.”
“You do know we’re all well above the age of eighteen, right?” Isaac retorted. “It’s been quite some time since we have been children.”
“You’re still younger than me, correct?”
“Well, yeah…”
“Then children,” he said. “So, what is it? Am I staying, or am I leaving?”
“Settle down, Peter,” Derek responded, biting back the urge to roll his eyes. “We do have something important to announce to everyone and would very much appreciate it if you just listen.”
“Fine,” he frowned. “But you have ten minutes of my time before I decide to leave.”
“All we need is a couple of seconds, really,” (Y/N) said with a smile on her face so sweet no one dared say anything else. “I’m sure you heard that I was away for a while and that we were undergoing renovations here. Which, as you can tell by the lack of changes, was not true. Derek lied on my behalf and moved any necessary meetings out of our home because I needed this time to myself as I underwent a sort of change in my life.”
“Oh my god, you’re dying,” Stiles worried. “Is it cancer? Is it at least treatable?”
“It’s nothing like that, Stiles,” she reassured with a soft chuckle. “But thank you for worrying. It’s just as life-changing but not necessarily life-threatening. At least, I’m hoping it’s not. But you could never be sure until…”
“(Y/N), you’re rambling,” Derek whispered in her ear. “It’s nothing bad.”
“You’re pregnant!” Lydia exclaimed, a bright smile adorning her face.
“How would you know that?” Malia questioned. “I thought you predicted death, not new life.”
“It’s common sense,” she shrugged, disregarding the comment. “She’s been hiding for months. The place smells like paint, and nothing in this room is painted, so I can only assume it’s a bedroom. And she hasn’t stepped out from behind the island that just so happens to cover her stomach. Two and two always makes four.”
“Except on this occasion, it made three,” (Y/N) chuckled. She walked around the counter and joined Derek’s side, her bump finally on display for everyone to see. “But, yes, Lydia, I am pregnant. Almost five months now.”
A shower of ‘holy crap’s and ‘oh my god’s rained over them as, one by one, the pack got to their feet and hugged the couple in congratulations. They rejoiced together and started planning how to spoil little baby Hale even before they were born. Every single person was as excited and overjoyed as Derek and (Y/N) were, anxious for when the baby was born.
Well, except Peter.
“Yeah, next time you have these kinds of news, little nephew, make sure to make it an email,” he grumbled, looking at his watch. “Can’t believe I canceled evening plans for a pregnancy announcement.”
“We love you too, Peter,” (Y/N) laughed. “Maybe if you leave now, you can still make it to whatever it is that you had planned.”
“I’m already here,” he shrugged as he sat back down on the sofa. “Might as well take advantage of the free food.”
“Ignore him,” Derek told her, wrapping his arms around her waist. “He can’t take this moment away from us. It’s all ours.”

Two peas in a pack : Magic bullet
Stiles stilinski x reader
Tumblr media
An: I knowwww it’s been a while… do what to say and this wasn’t even hard to write… no excuse. Anyway enjoy!
Scott Stiles and y/n were all sat in class as their teacher handed out test results. Stiles, who was sitting to y/ns right and behind Scott, tapped Scott on the shoulder getting his attention. "If Derek isn't the alpha, if he's not the one who bit you, then who is?" He asked, y/n nodded "Great question". Scott pondered for a second before answering "I don't know". Stiles sat back but quickly leaned forward again. "Did the alpha kill the bus driver?" He asked, and again Scott answered "I don't know"  Stiles sat back again exhaling dramatically loudly, before leaning up again "Does Allison's dad know-" he said but was cut off by Scott "i dont know!" He said way louder, attracting the attention of the whole class momentarily. The teacher had finally reached the trio, y/n looked down at her paper and smiled at the circled A+ at the corner of her paper, she looked over to Stiles and he showed his that just read A. Y/n smirked when she showed hers, laughing at the way stiles face dropped. Y/n took a quick glimpse at Scott while smiling and her smile immediately dropped, making Stiles turn to look. His face mirrored y/ns shock. "Dude you need to study more" Stiles said jokingly "Yeah Scott I knew you were failing, but I didn't think it was this bad" y/n said going along with Stiles's teasing "Okay we’re joking. Scott, it's one test. You're gonna make it up," stiles said trying to lift Scott's spirits, "He's right. Hey, I'll even help you study," Y/n said. Scott sighed "No it's okay, I'm studying with Allison today," Scott said nonchalantly. Stiles plastered a surprised expression on his face "That's my boy" he said making y/n groan. "We're just studying," Scott said shutting down what everyone knew Stiles was referring to. "Uh uh. No, you're not," he said pushing his case.
"No, I'm not?" Scot said questioningly. "Not if I'm forced to live vicariously through you. If you go to her house today and squander that colossal opportunity, I swear to go I will have you de-balled" Stiles ranted. "Don't feel pressured Scott, it's nobody's fault Stiles can't get laid" y/n said, smirking when Stiles looked at her with one eye squinted. "Not like you can either y/n," he said arguing back. "Oh no I can, I just choose not to." She said widening her smirk. "Okay! Just stop with the questions man" Scott said interrupting the banter. "Done. No more questions... no more talk about the alpha or Derek. Especially Derek who still scares me." He said. As soon as y/n heard Stiles mention Derek y/n began to get an overwhelming sense that Derek was nearby. She immediately brushed it off not seeing how he'd be able to get in the school during school hours.
the school had just let out and y/n followed Stiles to his jeep and laughed as he happily jumped in. He pulled out and began to drive out of the parking lot but was abruptly stopped by a very sickly-looking Derek Hale standing in the middle of the road holding his hand up as if to say "Stop". " you gotta be kidding me this guy everywhere" "Ok seriously this guy’s everywhere" y/n said at the same time as stiles, as they looked around for Scott hearing honking from behind them. Scott ran up to the driver's side, then to Derek making both y/n and Stiles get out and do the same. "What are you doing here," Scott asked kneeling beside Derek. "I was shot" Derek replied with labored breaths. "He's not looking so good dude," Stiles said. "Why aren't you healing?" Y/n whispered yelled as she knelt as well. "I can't. It was a different kind of bullet." He answered. "A silver bullet?" Stiles asked. "No you idiot," Derek said glaring up at Stiles. Scott's eyes widened "Wait. That's what she meant when she said you had 48 hours," Scott said. "What? Who said 48 hours?" Derek asked. "the one who shot you" Scott answered. Just then Derek groaned and his eyes shifted to the glowing blue. Y/n looked around panicking making sure nobody was close enough to have seen it. "What are you doing? Stop that" she hissed. Derek shook his head "That's what I'm trying to tell you. I can't." He growled breathlessly. "Derek. Get up!" Scott demanded.
The honking began to get more consistent. Scott lifted Derek as y/n opened the door before climbing into the back seat. "I need you to find the kind of bullet they used," Derek said as Scott closed the door to the jeep. "How the hell am I supposed to do that?" He asked.  "Because she's an argent, she's with them," he said. "Why should I help you?” Scott asked "Because you need me," Derek said, making y/n sigh. He was right and Scott knew it "Fine, I'll try. Hey get him out of here" Scott said to Stiles who had just gotten in the driver's seat. "I hate you so much for this," Stiles said through gritted teeth, before pulling off.
They'd been driving for about 30 minutes in silence and Stiles sighed picking up his phone to call Scott, he sighed even louder when he didn't answer, so he decided to text. 'Did you find it?' To which Scott replied 'need more time' making stile slam his phone on the seat, he looked over to Derek who had come out of his jacket "Hey try not to bleed out on my seats, okay?" He said. "Hey stiles ease up, he's shot," Y/n said, stiles again sighed "Fine. We're almost there anyway" he stated. "Almost where?" Derek asked. "Your house," Stiles said. "What? No, you can't take me there" Y/n sighed putting in her earbuds to not hear the two bicker, even when Stiles abruptly stopped the jeep. She thought it was best for them to sort out their differences.
Hours had passed and y/n groaned, they were parked on the side of the road and she was at the point now where she was aggravated. She got out of the car and dialed Scott's number. Surprised when he picked up
Y/n- Hello Scott it's me one of the two friends you so graciously forgot about that is sitting with the dying wolf... where the hell are you!?
Scott- I'm sorry they made me stay for dinner, where are you?
Y/n - parked on the side of the road. Where we have been for going on 2 hours!
She said getting back in the car, holding her phone out for Stiles to take
Stiles - what are we supposed to do with him?!
Scott- take him somewhere. Anywhere!
Stiles- and by the way he's starting to smell
Scott- Like what
Stiles- Like death
Scott- ok, take him to the animal clinic
Stiles- What about your boss
Scott- He's gone by now. There's a spare key in the box behind the dumpster
Stiles sighed "You’re not gonna believe where he's telling me to take you,” he said handing Derek the phone
Derek- Did you find it?
Scott- How am I supposed to find one bullet? They have a million. This house is like the freaking Walmart of guns
Derek- If you don't find it, then I'm dead, alright?
Scott- I'm starting to think that wouldn't be such a bad thing
Derek- Then think about this the alpha called you out against your will. He's gonna do it again. Next time you either kill with him or you get killed. So if you wanna stay alive, then you need me. Find the bullet.
Derek hung up the phone and handed it back to y/n. Stiles started the jeep and they began on their merry way to the animal clinic. "Isn't it ironic we're taking an injured werewolf to an animal clinic?" y/n said with a laugh. "Don't forget you were bitten too" Derek huffed. Y/n made eye contact with Stiles through the mirror and smiled
They arrived at the clinic and Stiles unlocked the door, Derek plopped down on the animal food, y/n got a message from Scott "Does Nordic blue monkshood mean anything to you?" Y/n asked Derek. "It's a rare form of wolfsbane. He has to bring it to me" he said. "Why?" Stiles asked. Derek looked Stiles dead in the face "Because I'm gonna die without it". Y/n sighed a little more panicked she texted Scott with urgency 'You need to get here NOW'
Y/n followed Derek and Stiles through to the operation room. Derek discarded his shirt to which y/n's eyes widened and quickly looked away, and Stiles was quick to look over to see  y/n's reaction.
The wound looked horrible if y/n was being honest, "You know that doesn't look like anything some echinacea and a good night's sleep couldn't take care of." Stiles said making y/n shake her head. "When the infection reaches my heart it'll kill me." Derek panted. "You know you really know how to be optimistic," y/n said sarcastically. Both y/n and Stiles watched as Derek rummaged through the drawers and cabinets obviously in search of something. “If he doesn’t get here with the bullet in time, I have a last resort,” he said. “Which is?” Stiles asked. The pair stared at Derek as he pulled out some sort of electric saw “You’re gonna cut off my arm.” Derek answered. This shocked the room into silence as y/n and Stiles racked their brains for something to say. “Oh my god! What if you bleed to death?” Stiles exclaimed. “It’ll heal if it works,” Derek said through clenched teeth as he tied a band around the bicep of his wounded arm. “I can't do this” y/n muttered as she turned away from Derek gagging. stiles nodded his head “Look, I don’t know if I can do this” Stiles explained, sounding like he was trying his best to hold back a gag.
“Why not?” Derek asked, still tying the band. “Well because of the cutting through the flesh-“ “the sawing of the bone!” “And the blood!” “Especially the blood.” Y/n and Stiles said bouncing off each other’s sentences. “Derek sighed dropping his arm onto the table “You faint at the sight of blood?” Derek asked grunting. “No, but we might at the sight of a chopped-off arm!” Stiles said, making y/n nod along. “Yeah no I can't I’m sorry Derek,” Y/n said. “Alright fine. Either you cut off my arm or I'm gonna cut off your head.” Derek said to Stiles. “Okay, you know what? I'm so not buying your threats-“Stiles was cut off by Derek grabbing his shirt and slamming him to the table “All right, bought, sold, totally, I’ll do it” Stiles rambled.
Y/n groaned “You’re an ass sometimes you know that?” She said to Derek “But I'll pass you this time because you’re dying” Y/n said before Derek leaned over and puked some sort of black substance right at his feet “Holy god, what the hell is that!?” “Jesus, I just might projectile vomit,” y/n said gagging while turning away from Derek for the second time tonight. “It’s my body trying to heal itself,” Derek said “Well it isn’t doing a good job,” Y/n said moving towards Stiles. “Now. You gotta do it now.” Derek said to Stiles. But y/n's ears picked up something unusual. The fast breathing of someone coming closer to the clinic, but how could she hear that? How all of a sudden. She heard something drop and hurried footsteps “Guys I think Scott’s here. Y/n muttered “Stiles? Y/n?”. Y/n's head shot up towards the door, she was right. Scott popped through the doorway seeing Stiles holding the saw to Derek’s arm “What the hell are you doing?” Scott almost yelled. Stiles let out a relieved chuckle “Oh, you just prevented a lifetime of nightmares.” Stiles said. “Did you get it?” Derek asked. Scott hurriedly dug the bullet out of his pocket and gave it to Derek. “What are you gonna do with it?” Y/n asked “I’m gonna- I’m gonna-” Derek panted before he fell to the ground passed out and dropped the bullet. Scott hurriedly chased after it while Stiles and y/n worked on waking him up.
Y/n tuned out the yelling as she thought, but only one option came to mind. “We have to hit him. Hard” Stiles looked at her as if she was crazy “It's the only way, we don’t have that salt here, we don’t know what to do with the bullet so we can't do it ourselves.” Y/n rushed “We have to hit him”. Stiles looked down at Derek “Please don't kill me for this” he said before he punched Derek square in the face. “Ow, god” Stiles hissed as he shook his hand in pain, Derek had woken up. “Give me,” he said softly as Scott handed them the bullet, and y/n and Stiles helped him up. Derek quickly got to work biting the tip off the bullet and emptying the powder before lighting it on fire, a blue smoke emitted from the substance. He wiped the powder from the table into his hand as he took a breather before pouring it into the bullet wound making him yell out in agony, as he fell to the ground still yelling the trio watched grimacing at his yells of pain, but their wasn’t much they could do. They watched as the wound quickly healed, “that was AWESOME!” Stiles cheered pumping his fist in the air “Are you okay?” Y/n asked. “Aside from the agonizing pain,” Derek remarked. Making y/n roll her eyes “I'm guessing the ability to use sarcasm is a good sign of health” Stiles said making Derek glare at him. “Okay, we saved your life, which means you’re gonna leave us alone,” Scott said, y/n groaned and walked away muttering “I’ve had enough testosterone for one day”.
She situated herself in the waiting room of the clinic, now able to fully focus on how her body was changing. Her muscles are more defined, she’s hearing better, and if she were to guess she's stronger too, which means the bite did take effect and she’s turned. But into what? She asked herself before Derek walked passed her and out of the clinic with Scott following. She watched them leave wondering where they were going. Stiles soon walked into the waiting room, joining y/n. “where are they going?” Y/n asked softly. Stiles shrugged “Something about the argents, I don’t know,” he said. Y/n smiled “he really is whipped,” Y/n said looking at Stiles, almost lovingly. Stiles chuckled returning her stare “Yeah, he is” he said, not breaking the stare. The atmosphere began to get tense, both wondering if the other felt the same. Y/n was the first to break the eye contact, chuckling “We should lock up” she said looking anywhere but at Stiles. “Yeah,” he agreed. So they got to work cleaning Derek’s puke first then locking up around the clinic, making sure to leave it as they found it. The pair got in Stiles's jeep and drove home, the atmosphere wasn’t exactly tense but it was too much for y/ns liking. It didn’t take long for her to build up the courage to grab Stiles's hand. Stiles whipped his head towards y/n and stared in shock. Y/n laughed “Eyes on the road you big goof, and close your mouth, you're gonna catch flies,” she said, and Stiles nodded turning back towards the road but squeezing her hand just to make sure he wasn’t dreaming when he felt her squeeze back his heart soared over the moon.

Brooding Alpha
Characters: Derek Hale, Stilinski!Twin, Scott McCall, Stiles Silinski
Pairings: Derek Hale x Stilinski!Twin Reader
Summary: You already had a brother and dad who treated you like a baby. You didn’t need a boyfriend who did as well.
Series Masterlist
Warnings: None! Unless you count an overprotective wolf.
A/N: Winter break is here. :D Have some angst, with a happy ending.
“I can take care of myself Derek. You don’t always have to treat me like a porcelain doll.” Your eyebrow twitched in annoyance.
“Babe, there’s a group of alphas out for blood. It’s clear they have some vendetta against me. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have gone after my betas. They want to hurt me and the easiest way is through you.”
“They’re not going to do something in broad daylight! I can’t just skip school and stay here so you can watch all day like a little puppy.”
You were in Derek’s loft, waiting for Stiles to pick you up. Instead of going to Heather’s party, you decided you wanted to keep Derek and Isaac company for the night. You had grown to love Isaac like a third brother, Scott being number 2. It hurt to see him so scared.
You told Stiles you didn’t want to go to Heather’s party because you and Isaac had to work on a school project together. He was too busy thinking about Heather to care whether or not you were attending. You were hoping for a relaxing night with Derek and Isaac. Maybe a movie and some cuddles with your Alpha. That wasn’t the case.
“Besides, Scott and Stiles are with me 24/7. Isaac too! And you forget that Alison comes from a family of trained hunters! Also, my dad is still the sheriff!” You emphasized the last sentence by raising your hands up high and huffed in annoyance. You were sick of everyone around you treating you like a baby. Stiles and your dad were already so overprotective of you. You didn’t need another man in your life who saw you as a weak damsel in distress.
“You know I don’t think that Y/N/N. I just want to make sure you’re safe. And the safest place is here with me at the loft, not at school with a pair of twin alphas!”
“No means no Derek. I’m not staying here.” You said before storming out of the loft. Derek wasted no time chasing after you. Isaac stayed out of your lover's spat. Lucky him.
“Where are you going?” He asked with a hint of anger and annoyance in his voice.
“Stiles should be here soon. Or do you not trust me walking down the stairs to the entrance by myself? Do I need a big strong man to walk me to my brother's car too?” You said, not bothering to turn around.
“Y/N! Listen to yourself…”
“I am Derek. And unlike you I trust that I can take care of myself.” You spat back at him. A part of you knew he was just being a good boyfriend that was concerned about his girlfriend’s well being, but you were too angry at the moment to think logically.
“Don’t come by tonight.” You tried to say angrily. It only came out kind of sad.
Derek stopped in his tracks. Derek stopped by almost every night ever since he stayed over that first night. It was nice, for the both of you to have someone on those lonely nights. It had become a kind of routine for you both. Comfort when you both needed it.
You didn’t turn around to see his reaction. You pushed open the front door of the building, just in time to see the blue Jeep pull up. You quickly wiped the tears from your eyes and faked a smile.
“How was the party?” You asked as you quickly jumped in.
Stiles sighed in annoyance. “Don’t want to talk about it.” He said.
Bummer. Looks like we both had a rough night.
“Hey, let's stop by the movie rental place and grab a movie and some snacks?” You asked, placing a hand on his shoulder. Stiles looked down at you and his eyes softened. It had been a while since you two spent some time together. Well some time together that didn’t involve a supernatural being. He kind of missed it. Though he would never outright tell you.
“Only if I get to pick the movie.”
You laughed. “Okay fine. But I get to pick the snacks!”
“Deal!” He said loudly and started making his way to the movie store.
*****
After watching Stiles’ horrible not so scary movie and eating your weight in ice cream and chips, you two said your goodnights, and went to bed. You kept looking at your window, part of you expecting Derek to still show up tonight. You watched the time go by in silence, sleep never catching you once.
1 AM became 2. 2 became 3. You sighed in annoyance when the clock finally hit 3:30. You don’t know what you were expecting. You told him not to come. Why would he come? You were the one who wanted to prove you were capable of taking care of yourself anyways. You didn’t need him to hold you to sleep. You have been sleeping by yourself for years now.
You finally turned off your desk lamp and plopped your head onto your pillow. Sleep didn’t come easy that night. But you finally gave in eventually.
What you didn’t know was that there was a certain someone waiting in the woods that night. Derek sat himself against one of the large trees near your neighbors yard and waited until your night turned off before sulking off back to his loft. He wanted to apologize, but he was afraid of what you would do if he showed up when you specifically asked him not to. He knew how you were sometimes. You just needed some time to cool off.
You didn’t wake up to a good morning text that morning.
You laid in bed a little longer than usual. Stiles had to knock on your door to ask if you were ready before you pushed yourself off of your bed. Part of you just wanted to skip school and go straight to Derek’s loft and apologize. He was right to some degree. You weren’t going to give up and stay at his loft all day. But you did need to stop sneaking out at night and away from the pack.
School went by in a blur. Stiles and Scott could tell there was something off about you. You hadn’t said a word all day and wasn’t actually glued to your phone for once.
“Everything okay?” Scott asked. Scott was one of the ones who knew about you and Derek. It was really hard to hide the fact that you always smelled like him. He had his suspicions, and confirmed his suspicions when he walked in on you kissing Derek the night you two rescued him from Kate.
“It’s nothing. Derek and I had a fight last night.” Stiles ran off to the library to do some research on something. It was just you and Isaac so it was a safe place for you and Scott to talk about Derek.
“Just so you know, Derek wasn’t all too happy this morning either Y/N.”
You just sank into your chair further. You shouldn’t have said what you said last night.
“Scott, I found it!” Stiles screamed, jumping onto the back of you and Scott. Clearly not sensing the mood around him. “Oh and Y/N, can you hitch a ride with Lydia after school today? I have to stay late today for detention.”
“Ugh Stiles. What did you do this time?”
“I had to borrow some books from a certain teacher’s collection. It happened to be locked in his desk and someone happened to catch me. But I found the info we need!”
Great. You thought to yourself. You knew Lydia didn’t drive today and that she had a date with Jackson after school.
“I can take you.” Isaac offered. You smiled. You loved Isaac. He was the closest thing to Derek you had right now.
After school Isaac and Scott walked with you to the parking lot. You were too distracted all day to realize Isaac didn’t have a car. Before you could say anything, you saw a very familiar black Camero sitting in the back of the parking lot. You looked up and glared at Isaac, fully aware of his scheme now.
“I can’t stand it when you and Derek fight. I have to deal with his moody self at home, and then your moody self at school. It’s too much brooding for me.”
You tried to turn around in the other direction, but Isaac quickly grabbed your shoulder before you could turn.
“Common. He’s just giving us a lift home.” He said pushing you forward. Scott opened the door for you and you stepped in, avoiding eye contact with Derek. You could feel his eyes on you though.
“Hey Isaac don’t we have that history project we need to work on?” Scott said suddenly.
“Oh I forgot about that! You go along first Y/N. Stiles can take me home when he's done with detention.” He said quickly, closing the door behind you. You huffed in annoyance and crossed your arms around your chest, frowning through the window. You tried your best to glare at the two boys walking away from the car, but to no avail.
“Y/N.” Derek said sadly.
You didn’t look at him, you crossed your arms tighter and turned away. You were still angry at the boys for tricking you.
“Y/N, i'm sorry. I-I shouldn’t have suggested that you couldn’t take care of yourself. Hell the one of the reasons I fell in love with you was because of the way you were able to handle yourself with those hunters that night. I know you’re strong enough to protect yourself. But I just.. Don’t want anything to happen to you because of me.” He said sadly.
You slowly looked in his direction. His hands were slumped to his side, and he held his head down. You noticed some dark bags under his eyes. You didn’t even know werewolves could get bags under their eyes. He looked like he hadn’t slept a wink last night. You were starting to feel guilty.
“I don’t know what I would do if something happened to you.” He said in a whisper.
Derek couldn’t look up at you. He felt so guilty. Everything he said last night was just his strange way of wanting to keep you safe. He didn’t sleep at all. He kept trying to think of ways to apologize to you. Thank god Isaac texted him when he did. He wasted no time getting here.
“Der.” You said, quietly.
Derek looked up at you with his big puppy dog eyes. You smiled at him and placed your hand on his thigh. He took your hand in his.
“I’m not going anywhere.” You said giving his hand a light squeeze. “You need to trust me though. I'm not just some stupid high schooler who goes looking for trouble.”
Derek raised his eyebrows at that one.
“Okay I am. But you also have to trust that I know what I’m doing and that I have a circle that is capable of keeping me safe. Let’s also not forget that my dad is the sheriff of the town and he made me take at least 50 self defense classes when I was little.” You said with a smirk.
“Okay fine. But only because I know Isaac, Erica, and Boyd are always with you. When I’m not around.”
“What about Stiles and Scott?”
Derek laughed. You chuckled too after realizing what you said. You leaned back into your chair and relaxed, never letting go of his hand.
“Let’s say we go home yeah? Well, your home. My dad might shoot you on sight if you show up at our place during the day.”
Derek laughed and quickly drove you two back to his place.
Later that night, Isaac walked in on you two cuddling and laughing on Derek’s couch. You gave him a thankful smile when he walked past you two.
He walked away smiling as well. It was always good to see papa and mama wolf in a good mood.

................................
“did you get this on tape?” you asked excitedly and Derek agreed in a murmur. You looked at him and your eyes automatically filled with tears as you saw him with a few tears streaming down his face. he was completely dazzled.
Hale.
It was baby Eli’s first word.
You were playing with the child when he randomly dropped the word. Derek was filming the moment unpretentiously as he always did to keep all possible memories of his little family, and he got to record this moment. It was magical.
“of all the words, he had to chose Hale” Derek said as he hugged you from the side and looked fondly at the baby carefully positioned on the floor with his toys.
“what can I say? He is just like his mama” you joked, hugging him back while laying your head on his shoulder.
You knew exactly why Eli chose that word.
You were Scott and Stiles’ classmate and when the supernatural world began to take over the town, you found yourself in a pack full of scared and inexperienced teenagers. Scott and Stiles took you in and explained what was going on, after you were caught in the middle of the crossfire between hunters and werewolves. Suddenly this bunch of teenagers were best friends and together they were fighting supernatural and human threats.
And there was Derek Hale.
A sourwolf who after so many losses, had to deal with these teenagers full of doubts and fears.
The moment you laid your eyes on Derek you knew your heart was his. And he knew that too, he wanted to love you. But you were too young, it was totally against his morals. And then you went away to study in another state, all of you did. Derek would never admit it but he missed you, missed your irony, missed your passionate glances, your contagious laugh.
He didn’t expect that after a few years you would come back to the city, but your father was sick, he needed you. And it was supposed to be for a while, until you decided to stay. You got a job, got your own apartment, and settled in.
You never imagined that your story with Derek would unfold, indeed you never thought that he would even look at you with second thoughts. The way you looked at him. But you decided to give each other a chance. And it worked, you were perfect for each other. Until a few months after you started to get involved, you found out that Derek’s one-night stand had resulted in a baby. It happened way before you moved back to the city, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t hurt. It did.
But you learned to deal with it and you were willing to help in Eli’s upbringing. You loved him as if he were your own.
Since your school days you have never been able to call Derek by his name. He never really understood why, but you were too embarrassed to address him by his first name so you chose to call him by his last one. Hale. And everyone got used to it, at one point it even became cute. And even after you were together, you didn’t lose that habit, what you didn’t expect is that your son would use that as his first word.
“morning sunshine. the party is about to begin” you exclaimed excitedly as soon as Peter opened the door and he let out a grunt. He had just woken up.
“jesus, i don’t remember arranging that so early”
“what better way to start the day if not with your adorable nephew”
You said, passing the baby into Peter’s arms, and you could see how his face lit up with the baby’s presence. A smile immediately broke out on his face.
“this is not the first time, so I don’t need to remind you of the rules, also I am very eager to enjoy the day with my boyfriend, so I’m gonna get going” You let out a mischievous smile and Peter rolled his eyes.
“first of all, gross. Second, the Hale’s men are ready to take over the town” you laughed leaving them alone.
***
“okay pal, it’s just you and me and a whole day ahead of us. You have to help me” Peter talked to the baby as if he was understanding. It was comic.
He was preparing breakfast when Malia and Parish arrived at the house.
“check it out, looks like we have company today”
Malia said, changing her voice tone and moving towards the baby. She absolutely hated pda, but when there’s a baby as cute as Eli in the house, she couldn’t help herself.
“thank God you arrived. He is here for like an hour and has cried at least three times” Peter spoke and the couple could see the desperation in his eyes, making them laugh.
“he’s a Hale, it’s not like he’s easy to deal with” Parish said and both Hale’s looked at him with deadly eyes. He laughed and went into the kitchen, trying to get out of they sight “Sorry”
***
“did he just say Hale?” Parish asked as the three looked stunned at the baby playing on the floor.
“i guess so” Malia replied and they could see how Peter was smiling. “look at this, uncle Peter is getting emotional”
“shut up” Malia and Parish couldn’t hold their laugh.
What they could not imagine, was that from that moment on baby Eli would not stop crying and repeating his last name for the rest of the afternoon.
“I think he’s broken” Malia said as she shook some toys in front of the baby on Parish’s arms, trying to get him to stop crying.
“dont be stupid, Malia” Peter said with his hands on his head, he couldn’t stand to hear the child’s crying anymore “okay I’m gonna call Derek”
“he’s gonna get crazy, I don’t think it’s a good idea” Malia warned.
“well I don’t know what else to do” Peter said desperately as Eli continued to mumble the word Hale non-stop. “then I’ll call y/n I’m sure she won’t want to kill me”
You and Derek were in the middle of a make-out session when the phone started ringing. You declined the first time, but the fourth time it was impossible.
“jesus christ Peter, what happened? Is everything okay?” You answered preoccupied and you could see Derek’s watchful eyes. He was listening to the conversation.
“Ok don’t go crazy about it, the baby is fine, I’m the one who isn’t” This only made you even more worried. Derek was already starting to get out of bed and look for his clothes.
“why? What happened?”
“there’s the thing! I don’t know! Eli started to cry and hasn’t stopped for at least a couple of hours”
“did you try-“
“yes I did” he cut you.
“but the-“ you tried to say and he cut you off again.
“i tried absolutely everything that you can imagine”
You could sense the tiredness in Peter’s voice and the baby crying in the background.
“he’s not in pain. I tried that too”
“okay we’re coming to rescue you” you said as you finished getting dressed and noticed Derek grabbing the car keys.
“thanks” he mumbled and you laughed.
“he’s okay baby, don’t worry” you said comforting Derek already in the car and he sighed.
“yeah I know”
As soon as you opened the door, you could see what a mess the house was. Toys everywhere, Malia and Parish sitting on the couch and Peter pacing up and down with a crying baby on his arms. Peter was defeated. Eli had swollen eyes from crying and you could see that he was desolated.
“Hale” Eli muttered and stretched his arms out the second Derek entered his field of vision.
“oh hi baby boy” Derek said walking towards him.
The moment Derek held him in his arms, the crying ceased. His little head rested against Derek’s big shoulders and he was now letting out little sighs.
Your heart melted watching that scene and the urge to cry was huge.
“really?” Peter said and the three of them watched the scene in disbelief.
“so hale is Derek? He kept saying that all afternoon” Parish commented and you nodded.
“I can imagine why” Malia said sarcastically looking at you and you felt your face turn red.
“Well what can I say if he’s just like his mama” You joked and let out a laugh.
All this time the baby was just missing you guys, especially Derek.
He really was just like you.

Lucky Dog Rescue
After opening up a dog sanctuary and receiving your first shipment of dogs, you're surprised to receive a werewolf- er, well a man stuck in his werewolf form. You're even more surprised when a handsome stranger strolls into Lucky Dog Rescue, claiming to be the wolf you took care of.
Tumblr media
Words: 3.8K
For as long as you can remember, you've always had a connection with animals. You'd begged for a puppy growing up, but given what your family was, it wasn't feasible. So, when you were old enough to fly the coop, after many conditions set in place by your family, you decided to open up Lucky Dog Rescue- a sanctuary for dogs who were set to be euthanized because other shelters had run out of space or because they'd been too long on the adoption list.
Just on the outskirts of Beacon Hills, your family had found and purchased some land for you. There was already a house on the property and it wasn't too hard for your family to hire a construction company to build you your very own animal shelter on the back half of the land. It took a year to get the shelter up to code and running, and now here you are waiting for the first shipment of dogs- only ten of them as of now until you could figure out a routine and eventually hire some help.
From sitting perched on your porch swing, you spot the large truck turning down your driveway. Eager to greet your new rescues, you stand and start making your way down the steps to direct the driver where it is he's supposed to unload the dogs.
Then hopping in a golf cart, you drive towards the shelter yourself.
The truck driver is waiting by the back of his truck, clipboard in hand by the time you pull up next to him. He reads something off his paperwork before saying your name as if questioning your identity. "Yep. That's me."
"Cool." As he starts to unlock the door, the dogs inside start barking and whining. "So is this like a rehabilitation for dogs or something?" The truck driver asks.
"It's more of a temporary home. These dogs are some that were set to be euthanized either because the shelters ran out of room or they'd been waiting too long to be adopted out."
"Shit. Really?" As he climbs into the truck, you climb in behind him to check the dogs in their crates. "There's a Cane Corso in here. He's huge for a puppy though. I'd figured he'd have been adopted out as soon as possible."
"Yeah, Cane Corso's are magnificent pets and guard dogs, but most people can't deal with their size or their food consumption. But I have a good feeling about this one," you muse, squatting so you can poke your fingers through the cage. "I just gotta make sure all these boys and girls are healthy and adoptable before putting their pictures on the web in hopes of finding them a forever home."
As you stand back up, you do a quick head count and frown. When the driver catches you doing so, he chuckles nervously. "Oh, uh, when I picked up the dogs there was an extra." He walks over to the very front of the truck where there's what appears to be a big black dog lying quietly in his crate. "It's assumed he's a wolfdog and he was set to be put down, but he seemed too intelligent to do so. The shelter he came from was hoping you could put him up here."
Making your way to the crate, you crouch and look at the wolfdog. But something about him gives you pause, even more so when he lifts his head and starts to scent the air. Then all of a sudden he starts to growl while staring directly at you and it clicks. "Easy, boy," you coo.
"Huh. That's the most noise I've heard him make," the driver says.
"Yeah, well he probably just picked up a scent on me that he doesn't like," you say. "Which is silly because I swear that this is a safe place," you say, making sure the werewolf understands. The werewolf slowly calms and you smile, reaching in to rub a finger along the top of one of his paws.
"Right," the driver says. "Well everyone else is here. "You have three French Bulldogs, two Australian Cattle dogs, one Australian Shepherd, one Siberian Husky, the Cane Corso, one Border Collie, and one Corgi."
"Nice. Well let's start leashing them and escorting them into the shelter," you say. "Each enclosure has a door that leads them outside to their own enclosed space, so don't worry about them not using the bathroom. They can go as soon as you close the door behind them."
"Got it. I'll get these babies first." You watch as the driver starts leashing the French Bulldogs, baby talking at them as he takes them out of their crates.
As soon as the driver disappears, you look back at the werewolf. "Listen, I know what you are. I don't want to leash you, but I can't have you running off before we can figure out what to do with you." The werewolf tilts his head, snuffling, and you gesture to yourself. "Only human in a family full of werewolves. I know a werewolf when I see one, so you're safe here. My family lives an hour away, so you don't have to worry about encroaching on any pack territory. It's just me. Trust me?" The werewolf huffs and you grin. "Excellent. I'm going to open the door now, so please don't run off. You'll have to go in an enclosure, but as soon as the driver leaves you can join me at the house."
You open his crate and he steps out, stretching. He stays by your side and you grin before grabbing a leash and leashing the Australian Shepherd.
Side by side, the truck driver helps you get the dogs situated in their own enclosures. Then after thanking him and sending him off, the werewolf watches as you give the other dogs their own bowls of food and water.
"Come on," you gesture for him to follow you. "Let's head to my house and try to figure out a plan for you. I doubt you want to sleep on a cushion on the floor with your fellow canines."
The werewolf follows you and trots side by side the golf cart as you take off.
Walking up the porch, you kick off your boots before pointing at the doormat. "Wipe your paws, please."
You hold the door open for him while he does so and then he trots into your house without any hesitance. You follow him in, heading towards the kitchen and grab yourself something to drink. Then turning around, you find the werewolf staring right at you. You startle in surprise and then laugh at your own jumpiness.
"Right," you drag out the word. "So, uh, can you shift back or…?" The werewolf barks and shakes his head. You sigh. "Of course you can't." Frowning, you glance all around and try to figure out how you're going to communicate with him. Then an idea comes to you. "I got it! Stay here."
Rushing from the room, you head to one of your storage closets and pull out bin after bin to find what you're looking for. Soon enough, you find several buttons that can be programmed to say different things. Then after finding the USB wire, you take the buttons back with you to the living room where your laptop is so you can program words so the werewolf can answer you.
"So I thought I could use these buttons to train some of the dogs, but I guess I'll be using them on you," you say as you plug the red button in. "Red will be no, green will be yes, and white will be I don't know. Sound good?"
The werewolf sits and you get to work programming three of the buttons. Once done, you set out each button in front of him.
"Okay, so, just to make sure… can you change back?"
The wolf gives you a deadpan stare before raising a paw and stepping on the red button. "No."
"Okay. Do you have a pack?"
"Yes."
"Oh. Do you want me to contact-"
"No."
"What? Why not?" You frown. "Are you running away from them?"
"No."
You sigh. "This would be so much easier if you could actually talk." Then taking a moment to think, you ask, "So if you can't change back, was this done to you on purpose?"
"Yes."
"Wow. Okay." You stare at the wolf, not knowing what to do. "I… I'm at a loss here, man. This was done to you on purpose, but you don't want me to contact your pack. Do you want me to contact mine and-"
"No."
"Do you think this will wear off?"
"I don't know."
You run a hand over your face, rubbing the space between your brows. "I'm probably out of my damn mind, but as someone who knows about pack dynamics, I feel like I can trust you. Can I trust you?"
"Yes."
"Well I mean anyone would say that, but oh well. You seem pretty sane. If you were a crazed omega, I think you would've been thrashing in that crate of yours. Or tried to attack me by now." The wolf sits and tilts his head at you. "Ugh. I might regret this, but screw it. Since you're stuck in this form, I don't want you out there in the elements. I have a spare bedroom you can use, but the second you're back to human status, you're replacing the mattress and sheets."
The wolf huffs and steps forward, stepping on the green button. "Yes."
"Good. And just so you know, I'm giving you a month. If you haven't changed back by then, we're calling your pack." The wolf's ears twitch and you grin, pushing yourself to stand. "Alright, so I'm hungry. What do you think about eating and just settling in? I'll program more buttons tomorrow, but for now I'll keep it to yes or no questions."
The wolf nods, licking his chomps.
As you start heading towards the kitchen, you hesitate. "Oh, wait! I don't even know your name. Or should I just call you Wolfie for now?"
The wolf barks, brushing past you and you laugh as he goes.
Day to day with a strange werewolf is bound to be interesting.
Tumblr media
Over the course of the month with Wolfie, you find that you quite like his company even though the only way he can speak with you is through the buttons or tiles of the alphabet that he steps on to spell out something. Of course, getting used to his presence took a few days- days that left you embarrassed beyond belief when you accidentally flashed him your underwear after waking up and walking downstairs in nothing but a shirt and underwear to brew your coffee.
Wolfie, who eventually spelled out that his name was Derek, took to roaming your property while you worked with the dogs. He avoided the veterinarian when she stopped by to give everyone a check-up, and then avoided the two teenage boys who the veterinarian sent your way to clean the kennels since they needed volunteer hours for their college applications.
During the day you took care of your animals with the help of two teenage boys, taking pictures to add to your website in hopes of adopting the little furballs out. You even made flyers which the boys took into town, taping them around town and leaving them at places of establishment.
And then at night, you made dinner for you and Derek who quickly made himself comfortable on the sectional in your living room after promising to replace anything he ruined.
When the month officially ends, Derek is stubborn about keeping mum about his pack. And every time you mention it, Derek trots over to the yellow button to press it. Stay. He won't tell you anything about his pack, so you don't know where to start looking for them and you really don't want to inform your family.
But then halfway into the second month, two men that appear in their early twenties walk into Lucky Dog Rescue and you know Derek must know them by the way he perks up from his position by the front desk.
The paler individual of the two spots Derek, his eyes widening as he makes a beeline for him which forces his brown skinned companion to quickly follow. You smile at them, especially when one of them kneels in front of Derek to meet his gaze and Derek sniffs before turning his head.
"Hi," you greet them, walking over. "Can I help you guys?"
The brown skinned young man suddenly looks sheepish as he smiles at you. "Uh, yeah. Sorry about him," he says. "I'm Scott. My friend here is Stiles. I, uh, I saw a flier for this place at the vet clinic I work for and thought what you were doing was pretty awesome."
"Yeah." Your demeanor softens a little. "I've always loved animals so it was a no brainer about what I wanted to do when I had the means to do it."
"That's awesome." His smile is quite contagious, especially when he glances at Stiles and you see that Stiles is dead set on gaining Derek's attention. Even when Derek doesn't want to give it and keeps averting his attention. "Anyway, I looked up your website and saw some of the canines you had available. We saw the, uh, the wolfdog and thought we might inquire into whether or not he was up for adoption."
"Sorry, guys, but he is not. I'm actually trying to track down his family."
"What?!" Stiles yelps. Scott's eyes widen as he glances between you and his friend, and you shrug. "But- but he's ours!"
You arch an eyebrow at him. "Is that so?"
"Yes!"
"Then why does our furry little friend seem to want nothing to do with you?"
Stiles gapes as he glances back at Derek, gently tweaking one of his ears. "Come on, sourwolf, and let the nice lady know we're family."
Derek yawns in Stiles' face before getting up and trotting over to his mat of buttons. Then staring directly at Stiles, Derek steps on the red one. "No." Now both Stiles and Scott are gaping, and you're left trying to stifle your laughter.
"Derek!" Stiles snaps and you mentally perk up. So they know his name, huh. Maybe they are telling the truth. "This isn't funny. We need to get you home. We've been searching everywhere for you."
The turquoise button is pressed next. "Bitch."
You slap a hand too little too late over your mouth after a laugh has escaped and you shrug when Scott and Stiles stare at you. "He's, uh, he's really intelligent and I've been using the buttons to communicate with him," you tell him. "The bitch button was for shits and giggles. He's never used it until now though."
Stiles' eyes narrow while glancing back at Derek. "I hope she gave you a flea bath," he hisses.
You start to giggle and walk around the counter, giving up the act. "Alright, Derek, game's over. I know you know them because if not, you would have already pressed the purple button until I locked myself back up at the house."
"Purple button?" Scott asks. "What's the purple say?"
Derek refuses to press it, so Stiles does. "Danger."
"He's only pressed it twice since he's been here, but fortunately they were false alarms." Scott and Stiles nod, and you grin. "So which one of you is the werewolf?"
They both freeze. "You know?" Stiles asks.
"Yep. Perks of growing up as the only human in a pack," you tell them. "I could tell Derek wasn't a wolfdog like I was told, so when he wasn't thrashing in his crate or trying to attack me when he was let out, I took a chance on him. However, as a human, I can't tell who's who." Stiles continues to gape and Scott nervously shifts from foot to foot. Then while trying not to appear intimidating, Scott lets his eyes flash red. You smile at him before bowing your head slightly in respect for him. "Welcome, alpha."
"Hi. You don't know how much we appreciate you looking after Derek. It's been hell trying to track him down."
"Well I'm glad you found my flier and website. He says he's stuck, but he wanted to wait the curse out in hopes of transforming back. I gave him a month, but he's been a stubborn little shit and refused to tell me anything about his pack since then."
"Yep. Sounds like Derek," Stiles says, standing up while glaring at him. "So, uh, since he technically can't be adopted out, can we just take him?"
"Yeah! Sorry," you chuckle. And then when you glance back down at Derek, you're hit with a wave of emotion that makes your eyes sting. Laughing at yourself, you squat down and raise a hand to rub at the side of his neck. "So this is goodbye, huh? I didn't actually think it would suck this bad." Derek steps towards you, headbutting you. You smile softly. "Maybe I should have made you stay out here instead of inside my home. I think I got attached."
Derek steps back, but before he leaves he steps over to the buttons one last time. While glancing at you, he steps on the pink. "Friend."
You slowly smile and give him a nod. "Always."
Tumblr media
The days drag on after Derek's departure, so you throw yourself into work.
Surprisingly, you manage to adopt out five dogs- the husky, the French Bulldogs, and the Corgi. Those five are quickly replaced and then word must have traveled about Lucky Dog Rescue because you start receiving visitor after visitor, and dog after dog find their forever home.
When you're able to start hiring employees, the number of dogs in the shelter steadily rises. The shelter can only hold up to fifty dogs, yet the most dogs you've had at one time is twenty-eight.
Then when work starts to slow and you settle into an easy routine, your days with Derek haunt you. Especially at night when you grew accustomed to having him join you on the sofa or trotting around your house, and now it's complete silence. Sometimes you missed him so much that you thought about asking around for an alpha Scott to see if they ever returned Derek to his human self, but then you thought better of it. He'd reach out if and when he wanted to.
So instead, you adopted.
You adopt a Basset Hound that had been surrendered to your shelter because the owners were moving and couldn't take Beau with them, and he won your heart over almost immediately.
Beau liked to go on walks every now and then, but he most enjoyed curling up on the couch with you or curling up on his bed under the front desk down at the shelter while you were working.
One day, while it's slow and your employees are taking care of the dogs in the back, you sit down on the floor in front of the front counter to play fetch with Beau. He's enjoying chasing a tennis ball and then playing keep away with it. You don't notice when the front door jingles to signify a possible client, but you do notice when Beau whines and runs behind the counter.
Gaping at your dog, you shake your head in disbelief at him. "Some guard dog you are, punk." There's a deep chuckle and you glance up at the stranger- the very handsome stranger, actually- and quickly climb to your feet. "Hi. Sorry about that. Welcome to Lucky Dog Rescue. What can I do for you?"
The dark haired man shrugs, sliding his hands into the front pockets of his jeans. "I believe I owe you a new mattress. And my thanks."
"Excuse me?"
"My name is Derek Hale. It's nice to finally speak with you." You gape at the man standing before you before you snap out of your stupor and rush forward. But before you can touch him, you freeze.
"Uhhh… is it weird that I want to hug you right about now?"
"Not at all." He pulls his hands from his pockets, spreading his arms, and you readily latch on to him. He chuckles as you laugh in glee. "So I see the shelter is doing good."
"It is! Yeah."
As you pull back from the embrace, he asks, "Is Beau yours or…?"
"Mhm. Mine," you tell him. You walk around the counter to drag Beau back out, intent on making him greet Derek so he knows he's not a threat. "Kind of got used to having a companion in my house that I learned pretty fast it sucks living alone." Derek squats and holds his hand out, smiling as you coo at Beau and assure him that the big cuddly werewolf doesn't mean either of you any harm. "So did you guys get everything squared away? Did you find who cursed you in your wolf form?"
"We did. Scott doesn't like to use violence, so it took us a while to broker a treaty with some witches that were looking to settle in Beacon Hills."
You wince. "Witches are sneaky. I hope you worded the treaty very carefully."
"We knew exactly what they were after. It's what everyone's after and why Beacon Hills is a beacon for the supernatural," he says. "The treaty wasn't one necessarily for peace. It was a treaty stating that if they stepped foot back in our territory, all niceties go out the window and the pack is allowed to attack."
"Good."
Derek nods. "And on another note, I actually came in to adopt."
You perk up. "Really?!"
"Yeah. I've been checking your website and I saw the Corso was still here."
"Yes." You sigh sadly. "Everyone likes to look at him and get his hopes up. He's just too big for anyone to care for around here."
"Well then I guess it's a good thing I have the means to care for him."
You slowly grin. "Does this mean I get picture updates of him?"
"I will bring him by whenever you want. Or you can drop by my place and even bring Beau along. We can have a… playdate of sorts for the dogs."
"A playdate for the dogs, huh?"
Derek smiles. "And maybe the owners if Beau's mom is up to it."
"Oh. I'm pretty sure Beau's mom is up for it." You laugh. "But before we can go on those playdates, we need to get you your pup."
"Dante. His name's going to be Dante."
"Nice." You then gesture for him to follow you to the back. "Let's go get Beau's new friend Dante then."

Derek's Loft
Derek sat hunched forward, elbows resting on his knees and his phone in a near death grip in his hands. Since the night you left unexpectedly, he's had this strange feeling in his chest. But he didn't want to accept it. There was no way he could.
Derek lifted his head up at the sound of footsteps and saw Cora descending the spiral staircase. She made eye contact with Derek, and by the look on his face and the phone in his hands she knew it had something to do with you.
She didn’t say anything to him, just smiled awkwardly. She was afraid if he started a conversation about you, somehow she’d unintentionally slip if she tried lying. She was never good at lying.
He watched her as she grabbed her jacket from the couch. "Are you going somewhere?" He asked suddenly.
"Yeah." She nodded, avoiding Derek’s gaze. "Isaac, Erica and I are going to the movies." Surprisingly her heart remained calm as she delivered her line. Erica had bought the tickets to a random movie in case he didn't believe her; which she grabbed from the jacket pocket and waved to Derek.
"I don’t know, Cora.” Derek said uncertain. “It’s not safe for you out there.”
Cora rolled her eyes. “I’m already marked. It’s been a couple nights and they haven’t come back here. I won’t be alone either.”
“We don’t know who the Nogitsune is. Where it is or what it even wants. You’re not going.” He stood up from his spot.
“You can’t keep me here, Derek. I feel like…” she inhaled a breath, worried about the effect her words would have on her brother, “a caged animal.” She finished. She looked to Derek this time, an apologetic expression on her face but also the anger in her eyes seemed she wasn’t too sorry for her words.
Derek remained stoic. He folded his arms across his chest, “I’m sorry you feel that way, Cora.” He said with no remorse. “But I’m not keeping you prisoner here, you’re allowed to leave whenever and wherever you want,” he approached her as he spoke until he was close, “except at night.”
“Fine.” She huffed. “I’ll be back before night fall.” She turned on her heel to leave, only to be stopped by Derek again.
“Forgetting something?”
She looked over her shoulder at him. He was holding her phone up in his hand. “I need you to be able to reach me in case something happens.”
Cora snatched her phone from him. “We’re just going to the movies.”
“Right,” he said as he dug into the back pocket of his jeans. He counted the cash he had in his wallet and held it out for his sister, “here. Have fun.” He smiled.
Cora eyes her brother quizzically before grabbing the money from his hand and saying good bye.
“You know, she’s lying to you.” Peter chimed.
Derek exhaled a breath through his nose at the first note of his uncle’s voice, but his gaze remained on the loft door, where Cora had just left. “I know. That’s why I had her take her phone. I can track her.”
“You’re not going to follow her?” Peter could be heard moving from his spot somewhere behind Derek. “You are learning something.” He was right beside Derek now.
“I didn’t say that.” Derek replied now turning to look at his uncle. “I’ll track her and see where she’s stopped. Then I’ll go.”
“You never learn.” Peter rolled his eyes and shook his head simultaneously as he turned and made his way back to where he was previously.
“You heard Araya. They’re looking for her. She had two betas with her. What if she’s building a pack to take on the hunters? More people are just going to get hurt.”
“Come on, Derek.” Peter groaned. He plopped down on the sofa, kicking his feet up on the coffee table. “She’s not like that. Whatever she’s doing with those betas have nothing to do with the hunters.”
Derek scrunched his brows. What his uncle said rang true. He knows you don’t care about power, never have. And he’s seen how you were with the other betas, you’d do anything to protect them even if it meant distancing yourself. So why was the fact that you had two other betas with you causing him so much unrest? Anger even?
“You think you know her so well." Derek scoffed. "You’re not worried so long as you get to use her for whatever you need from my mom’s claws.”
Peter looked at his nephew with irritated disbelief.
“I’m right.” Derek grumbled as he turned away from his uncle. “That’s why you don’t leave my loft, in case she comes back.”
“Wrong.” Peter could be heard getting up from his spot. “I come here to check on you guys. Granted you both hate me and don’t trust me,” he raised his hands, “you are still the only family I have left. Including her." A beat.
“Word of advice, nephew. If a girl gives you the best night of your life, and then disappears on you, that means it’s over.”
Derek furrowed his brows in confusion. “Over? What do you mean over?” He scoffed, turning to face his uncle.
Peter was already walking towards his nephew, “you’re screwed.” He patted Derek’s shoulder as he walked passed Derek.
Derek flinched at his uncle’s words. He turned again in his uncle’s direction but Peter was already out the loft door.
—————————— 🐾——————————
Derek was laying across from you, facing you. He had a hand on your cheek, his thumb softly caressing your skin as he looked into your eyes lovingly.
You were both underneath his silk blue covers, and by the light peeking through the thin fabric, it was morning.
“We should get up.” You whispered to him.
“No,” he whispered back, “let’s stay here.” He scooted closer as he snuggled his face into your neck.
“Derek.” You giggled. “It’s daytime. We can’t stay in bed all day.”
“Who says we can’t. Hmm?” He pressed a few kisses to your neck.
“What about the kids?”
"School." He muttered.
You sighed in content, wrapping your arms around him as he moved to position himself in between your legs and hover over you. He lifted your shirt over your breasts and kissed down your torso. In a strange event, the covers were pulled off of you, starling you.
You were shocked to notice you weren't neither in the penthouse or the loft. But the old Hale house; before it was burned up in flames.
"Stop." you pushed Derek away and wiggled into a sitting up position. "What are we doing here?"
"What do you mean?" Derek sat up as well. "We bought the place? And rebuilt it. For us." He explained.
Somehow that was enough for you. You smiled at him and grabbed him by the back of his neck to pull him closer to you. Derek smiled as he allowed himself to be controlled and placed his hand son your hips. He closed his eyes, ready to plant his lips on yours.
You slowly closed your eyes, and before your lips could meet, a terrifying banging came from the bedroom door. Derek whipped his head towards the direction. You slowly brought one of your legs over the side of the bed, ready to stand on your feet.
Derek noticed and was quick to get up off the bed first. "Wait." He stopped you. "It was just the wind."
"The wind?" You questioned. You paused a moment now. Something did not seem right. "No," you stood away from the bed now, "I think theres someone out there."
"Baby," Derek grabbed your hands, "no one. It's just you and me." He kissed you again, turning you to lay you back down on the bed. You were enjoying yourself until the banging on the door returned.
"What the hell." You pushed Derek off of you again. And this time instead of waiting for it again you stormed towards the bedroom door.
Derek grabbed your wrist. "Stop. Don't go out there." He warned.
The banging returned, accompanied by screaming and smoke emitting from the cracks of the door.
"What?"
Derek tugged you back. "We have to leave." He tugged again, "we'll die if we try to save them."
You could make out Cora and Isaac's voice coming from the other side of the door. Along with the others.
"Sweetheart," Derek tugged again.
'No." You tugged back. "We can save them, Derek."
"If we save them," he faces you, "what happens to them?"
You stared at him quizzically. It was then when a baby's cry erupted from behind him. You looked over his shoulder, shocked. There was another door behind him, surely where the cries were coming from.
"We can't save them. But we can save ourselves and start over. Just like you want."
Behind you, the kids continued to scream your name, begging for your help. And behind Derek the baby's cry only grew louder.
You stared Derek in the eyes, "how do you know thats what I want?" You asked him. "How do I know thats what you want?"
"What do you mean?" He asked, almost as if he were getting angry. "This is what you wanted."
"No," you shook your head. "I dont think I want that. Not like this." You snatched your hand out of Derek's grasp. You turned on your heel and began walking towards the door where the kids screamed out for your help.
Your heart was racing in your chest. You were terrified. Of what? You weren't sure yet. But whatever was happening here, it was wrong.
Derek yelled out your name loudly. But you ignored him, gripping the handle of the door, fighting through the burning sensation, and turning the knob to open the door.
*********
You gasped for air, as you lunged forward in a coughing fit. There was something lodged in your throat and you used all the force in your chest to get it out.
You wheezed, feeling some kind of hard object slowly creepy up your throat. You forced your mouth open wider as you dug with your index finger and thumb for the object.
You coughed, removing the object from your throat. You examine the foreign object in between your fingers with disgust. It was dead, for sure.
—————————— 🐾——————————
"Gross." Isaac mused as he stared at the dead fly in the closed mason jar. "You swallowed that?" He asked you.
"If I did, I don't remember." You rolled your eyes. "I was having a pretty weird dream and....I was choking on this when I woke up. I want to know if this has anything to do with the nogitsune."
The betas stared at each other worriedly.
"What?"
Erica spoke up this time, "do you think...it was Stiles?"
"I don't know. I can't smell anything." you admitted. "I couldn't even hear you three coming."
Cora then scooted forward and grabbed the jar from your hands.
"We'll take this to him. But first you have to tell me whats going on between you and Derek. I dont like lying to him."
"I don't mind lying to him." Isaac shrugged.
Erica rolled her eyes, and the two girls both smacked his arms.
"What?" Isaac rubbed his arms.
"I know. After this, you don't have to come see me anymore if you don't want. I won't make you choose between me and Derek."
"But--,"
"I don't get it," Isaac interrupted, "I thought you and the animal doctor were friends. Why are you asking us to take this to him?"
"It's better you don't know." You tell him. "He knows. And I know he will help to make up for it." You sat up and inhaled a deep breath. "I also have one more favor to ask of you guys."
You knocked on Brett's bedroom door. He cracked open the door, pulling out an earbud. You stared him up and down, nonchalantly, "put a shirt on and come out to the den. And bring your sister."
Brett and Lori shortly appeared in the den, staring at the other three curiously.
"Brett, Lori," you pointed, "meet Cora, Erica and Isaac. Isaac, Cora, Erica, meet Brett and Lori." you introduced.
They only stared at each other and lastly at you. You could feel the judgement behind their stares and waved your hands in the air. "anyway," you began, "you two, will be going with them to meet an old acquaintance. Tell him you're looking for Satomi and he'll help you find her."
"What?" Brett asked. "You're kicking us out?"
"No?'' You folded your arms, now feeling awkward at the tension you were under. Cora stared at Brett angrily. "I'm just helping you. I know you want to go home and I don't know where to start to help you get there. He does."
"Right." He scoffed.
Cora got up on her feet, "what the hell is your problem?" she stormed up to him.
"What the hell is yours?" He retorted, puffing his chest out and staring down at her. Lori grabbed his arms pulling him back, while Erica grabbed Cora.
You sighed, rolling your eyes. "Stop." You told them. "Go or don't." You told Brett. "But just know, helping you find Satomi is at the bottom of my to do list right now. Can you deal with that?"
He clenched his jaw, then looked down at his sister. He thought a moment before nodding.
"Great." You clapped your hands together. "Let's get used to each other, huh." You forced a smiled at the young teens.
Isaac, Brett and Cora scoffed and turned away from each other. Erica and Lori were the only two who approached each other.
"This is gonna be ok." You told yourself.

Stiles was completely fucking tired of you. If he wasn’t in love with you, he would push you off a cliff and then act as your savior so you would like him, romantically at least. You liked Stiles, matter of fact, you often said you loved him, ‘as a best friend.’ Who the fuck says that?
“Still getting friendzoned?” Scott asks as he sits down in front of him, the seat next to him reserved for you.
“I swear, if I wasn’t so in love with her, I would kill her.”
“Kill who?” Your voice made Stiles jump as you went around him, gently pushing your hips forward into his back to get him to scoot up.
The small gesture had Stiles shivering, quickly scooting up his stool as you softly pat his shoulder. “No one.”
You giggle. “I got caught up at lunch.”
Stiles’ nose scrunched. “I was just with you at lunch.”
You shake your head, patting his cheek. “I was on a phone call, babe.”
“With who?” Scott asks as you snort.
“With Derek, phone call police,” you say with another small giggle. “He was seeing if I had any plans Friday night.”
“That’s our movie night,” Stiles said immediately, hoping you weren’t coming to tell him that you blew him off for Derek fucking Hale. “Y/N, I swear-”
“I told him we were having a movie night,” you say, putting your bag on the ground as you leaned on his shoulder. “But I told him he should swing by because we’re watching Disney movies this week.”
The topic of Disney movies quickly flew over his head, you always wanted to watch Disney movies when it was your turn to pick. “You what?!”
His voice was loud making everyone turn to you, the bell ringing signifying the start of class. You slapped his thigh, a soft yelp leaving his lips. “Calm down,” you whisper, the smile on your face falling. “I thought you’d be happy about it.”
He curses, hand slipping into yours. He definitely wasn’t going to be the cause of you being sad. “No, no I am,” he was lying, he was definitely lying. “I am. Just… tell him to bring some snacks. I know how much you love those little stupid things.”
You giggle, squeezing his hand. “I will! Do you want anything?”
He shook his head. “I’ll raid your cabinet.”
You nodded, squeezing his hand before slipping your own out of his and pulling out your phone. Your fingers moved quickly as you typed, Scott snorting back a laugh before Stiles kicked his chair as hard as he could.
Scott looks back, glaring playfully as Stiles does one of those signature innocent smiles that made him look possessed.
“Okay! Done, he’ll be there around eight.”
Stiles looks over at you, the same grin on his face. “Yay.”
You slipped your hand into his, squeezing. “Don’t get too excited,” you say, smiling slightly. “I can tell him it’s not a good time? If you want?”
He sighed. As much as he wanted you to do just that, or yell it at the top of his lungs right in front of him, he shook his head. “No, it’s okay. Promise.”
You giggled, squeezing his hand again. “It’s going to be awesome.”
You stayed in class a few minutes after to collect your stuff, Scott quickly slipping in. “Hey Y/N.”
“Hey Scott! What’s up?” You ask, pushing your laptop into your bag as he looks back, signing.
“I just… got a quick question.”
You paused. “Okay.”
He sighs, tugging on his backpack string. “Well, I was wondering like… why do you always get Derek and Sti together?”
You pause, gasping. You knew something Scott didn’t about his best friend, and that was something you took pride in. “Come here,” you whisper, tugging him closer. “When we first started hanging out, Sti kept asking questions about Derek, like, ‘Is Derek going to be there?’ or ‘You hung out with Derek?’” You giggled. “And Derek was asking the same things! So… they like each other!”
Scott’s jaw drops as you clap your hands softly at your small (though false) victory. “And this Friday, I told Derek to bring his favorite snacks! Then I’m going to leave them alone for a while, hoping something will happen between them.”
Scott grins. “You’re a genius, Y/N.”
You giggled. “I know.”
You take his offered hand as you both walk out, Stiles scrolling on his phone as you walk over. “Stiles! Come on, you’re driving me home!”
He groaned playfully. “I hope you know I’m tired of being your chauffeur.”
You giggled. “No you’re not. You love it.”
It didn’t take him long to get to your house, cursing when he saw Derek’s black Camaro pulled into your driveway. Your parents were out of town as always, and he wasn’t in his car which probably meant that he used the spare key you had given to him, Stiles, and Scott - just in case.
“Oh! Derek’s here! Do you want to come in?” You asked Stiles who immediately nodded his head.
“Fuck yeah I do,” he said before Scott caught his shoulder from the back seat.
“We’ll go inside in a second, Y/N,” the other boy says, smiling. “Promise.”
“Oh, okay!” You giggled as you jumped out of the Jeep, grabbing your lunchbox and backpack. “See you inside!”
You slammed the door shut, running off to your front door and quickly walking in.
“I swear, I want to shove fucking-”
“She thinks you’re in love with each other.”
Stiles pauses, looking at his friend through the rearview mirror. “What?”
Scott starts to laugh. “She thinks you’re in love with Derek! And him with you!”
Stiles takes the keys out of the ignition, shaking his head.
“Fuck no.”
He could hear Scott howling out fits of laughter from the Jeep, quickly walking inside to see you putting flowers into a vase. “Oh! Stiles, look at the flowers Derek got me! They’re my favorite.”
Stiles sends you a tight lipped smile. “I know,” he says through gritted teeth, looking at Derek who put the cut ends of the flowers into a t-shirt bag to throw them away. “Y/N, you mind if I talk to Derek? Alone?”
He could see you start to smile as you fixed the bow around the vase, nodding. “Mhm!” You all but skipped out of the room, yelling as you went up the stairs. “Gonna change!”
Stiles doesn’t speak until he hears your door close, Derek closing his eyes. He could hear you slipping off your shirt, unclasping your bra, opening your drawer to get a new shirt. Fuck, he could just imagine it, your pretty fingers-
“Stop being a perv and listening to her change, Derek,” Stiles scolds, crossing his arms. “We need to talk.”
He snorts out a laugh. “Why are you here, Stiles?”
“To kill you.” He says it with a straight face making Derek pause, Stiles doing frantic movements with his hands. “What do you expect me to do, huh?! I drop her off every day!”
Derek ignores him. “What days do you have practice?”
“Most days, today we just got lucky,” Stiles crosses his arms as he watches Derek move the vase of flowers to the center of the island. “Why?”
“So I can pick her up. Why make her wait hours to come home?”
Stiles shakes his head, quickly going around the table. “No! No you’re not, I drop her off, I’m her chauffeur!”
Derek laughs. “Hate to break it to you kid, so am I.”
“She’s my passenger princess!” Stiles says quickly, shaking his head. “That’s not the point though!”
Derek ignores him, again. “Is that what they call them now?”
“Listen to me! She thinks we like each other!”
He paused. “What?”
Stiles nods. “That’s what I said!”
The older man starts to laugh, shaking his head. “No. No, what would make her think that?”
Stiles scoffs. “Well everyone says I can’t be gay, so I don’t even know! Anyways, we need to talk to her-”
“You’re not even my type.”
The younger male glared. “Yeah well, just because you’re a perfect specimen doesn’t mean you’re mine, asshat. You’d be lucky to get a piece of me.”
“Boys, why are you arguing?” You come down the stairs, giggling as you fix your shirt.
It wasn’t the first time they’ve seen you in lounge clothes, but this time it was different. You wore shorts that went down to your knees, basketball shorts specifically, with an oversized hand t-shirt you were in love with. Your hair was down, making pretty halos around your face as you walked over to them.
There was something different, though, Stiles could feel it and Derek could smell it. You open the fridge, taking out your favorite drink before opening it and taking a big gulp. “Fuck, I was thirsty.”
“Hey, honey, can we talk?” Derek decides to test the nickname, determining he truly didn’t like it.
The term of endearment makes Stiles’ nose scrunch. “Honey? Really? That’s the best you can come up with?”
“I was trying it out!”
“Well why is she honey? Why can’t I be honey? Of course honey doesn’t fit her!”
You start laughing, making them both pause as you sit on the stool. “Y’all are so cute.”
They both freeze, staring at you as you take another sip of your drink. “What?”
“What? You guys should go get something to eat, y’know?” You suggest making Stiles gag loudly.
“I’m going to throw up.”
“Would you stop?” Derek says in annoyance, Stiles flipping him off.
“I hope you know if I was gay you’d be my last choice.”
The older man crossed his arms. “You wouldn’t be first on my list either.”
Stiles makes a noise of victory. “Hah! I’d still be on your list though!”
“You are literally one of the only guys I know, everyone else is dead.”
Stiles flips him off with both hands. “Still on your list!”
“What do you mean, ‘if you were gay’?”
Derek sighs. “Darling-”
“Ew! That sounds even worse!” Stiles says immediately. “It’s like you calling your girlfriend who’s thirty years younger than you who only wants you for your money.”
Derek’s face looks slightly offended. “I actually kind of liked it.”
The younger male shakes his head. “You don’t seem like the person to use terms like that. Just use normal ones.”
“What's going on?” You finally asked, both of them looking at you.
“Babe-”
“Too overused.”
“Fucking hell, shut up, Stiles!”
Stiles mocked him softly, mumbling under his breath as he turned to you. “Okay, love-”
“You’re British now?”
“Bunny?”
“That’s just weird.”
Stiles scoffs. “She actually likes it.”
“What is going on?” Your voice raises as you set down your drink. “Like, seriously.”
“We’re not gay, bumblebee,” Derek says, smiling. “I like that one.”
You paused, eyes trailing over both of them. “You aren’t?”
“Hell no,” Stiles says before pausing. “Not for him at least. Other people, maybe, but definitely not for him.”
Derek snorts. “You wish.”
“Wait… so,” you pause, looking at the two of them. “I know why Stiles is, but Derek, why are you always around me then? And why do you always ask me questions about each other?”
Your best friend pauses. “Wait, what do you think you know about me?”
“Well we’re best friends,” you say, eyes narrowing slightly. “But I feel like I’m wrong now.”
Derek snorts. “You always get friendzoned like this?”
He nods, mocking him. “You always get friendzoned like this- bitch, you’re getting friendzoned too!”
He glared. “No I’m not!”
You stand. “If you both don’t say something right now!”
Both inhale before exhaling, staring at you. “I’m in love with you.”
Your jaw dropped. You could comprehend witches and demons and fucking werewolves for fucks sake, but two men being in love with you? Two extremely attractive men?
Stiles pauses. “Y’know what, I’ve known her longer, so fuck off!”
Derek snorts. “You’ve been friendzoned for half of those years, kid, you fuck off.”
“Shut up, I need to think,” you say, rubbing your temples before looking up. “You’re in love with me? Both of you?”
“He just met you like three years ago,” Stiles interrupts. “One of them he was in love with you illegally. I’ve known you my entire life, I’ve never loved you illegally.”
Derek scoffed, crossing his arms. “We’re literally three years apart, Stiles.”
“Ah! Still years! She was sixteen, you were nineteen!”
“I wasn’t in love with her then, idiot!”
“Boys,” you say sternly, both of them quieting as you look at them. “Why?”
They pause. “Why what?”
Oh they were speaking in unison way too much today.
“Why do you… why are you guys in love with me?” You jump off the stool, gasping. “You’re cursed! Oh my goodness, you’re cursed! I’m going to go get Scott-”
“We’re not cursed, lovely,” Stiles said before his nose scrunched. “We’re not cursed, baby.”
Derek glared. “Didn’t you say I couldn’t use babe?”
“Well I am going to use babe and baby because we’re the same age and it’s not creepy when I do it.” Stiles stuck his tongue out at Derek making you giggle.
“Okay… if you’re not cursed, why are you both saying you’re in love with me?”
Derek looks at Stiles. “Because we are.”
You paused, but nodded your head. “You… you are?”
“Why is it so hard for you to believe it, angel?” Stiles tests it out before smiling. “Yeah. Yeah, I like that one.”
Derek nods slightly. “Yeah, that’s a good one.”
“Okay, maybe I see it,” you conclude, finally nodding slightly. “Well, why did you never tell me?”
“Because you thought we were in love with each other.”
Again with the unison.
You nodded slightly again. “Right, right. Okay, uhm… well, where do we go from here?”
Stiles and Derek pause. “What?”
Again with the unison, what the fuck was up with them?
You nod again. “Where do we go from here? I want… I want to know what you both think.”
Derek looks over at Stiles. “Well… you can choose one of us.”
You shake your head immediately. “I don’t want to choose one of you, I want both of you.”
Stiles pauses. “What?”
“You can grasp your head around witches and werewolves but not polygamy, Stiles? Really?” You asked, making him shake his head.
“You want to… be in a poly? With us?”
Derek inhaled deeply, rubbing his face. “You want me… to like him too?”
“No, that’s polyamory,” Stiles explains. “Polygamy is the act of having more than one partner.”
“It’s called a V-Poly,” you explain, both men staring at you. “I read a lot of fanfic, okay?”
“So you want to be Eiffel towered?”
Your cheeks turned red at Stiles’ words. “Why would you say that?!”
“You do though, don’t you! Come on, angel, you can tell us.”
“What the fuck is Eiffel towered?” Derek asks, clueless as Stiles grins.
“You want to explain it or me?”
You hide your cheeks. “Stop it! Stop! Right now! And no, I would rather get raw-dogged sitting on someone’s lap while the other takes me from behind because why the fuck would you put your hands together? Like that’s so weird!”
Derek’s eyes widened. “Oh, so we’re talking about sex.”
Stiles rolls his eyes. “Yeah, we’re talking about sex!”
You clap your hands, gaining both of their attention. “We… we’re going to have a date, okay? All together, we’re going to have a date.”
Stiles and Derek make a face. “Together?”
You nodded. “Yes. Together. We’re having a movie night, right now.”
Stiles looks over at Derek as you go to the cupboard, opening it up to get some bags of microwavable popcorn. Derek moved the flowers, resulting in Stiles going to the fridge to get some drinks before coming behind you. “Hey, I’m gonna go to your secret stash, alright?”
You nodded. “Get me some watermelon Sour Patch.”
Stiles nods, quickly going up the stairs after staring down Derek. Derek just snorts as he walks over to you, helping you unwrap the bags before sniffing softly. The smell was sickeningly sweet, it made his mouth go dry. “Did you get a new perfume?”
You pause, but then shake your head. “I mean, I did a while ago. It was too musky for my taste, so I returned it.”
“So nothing sweet?”
You shake your head. “No, I wore a fruity perfume today. Why?”
He shakes his head, dismissing it. “Just smelt something sweet,” he explains, rubbing at his wrist to find the pulse point and calm himself down. “You smell extremely sweet.”
You gasped loudly, covering your mouth. “Derek!”
He jumps back, his too pretty of a face turning shocked. “What?!”
“You’re doing the fanfic thing!” You gasped, staring at him. “I’m ovulating.”
His eyes widened, Stiles already tripping down the stairs, candy falling from his grip. “What happened?!”
“Derek’s doing the fanfic thing!” You say, gasping loudly. “Holy shit, do you knot?!”
“Do I what?!” Derek shrieked. He knew what that was.
“Holy shit, do you knot?” Stiles gasps, quickly running to the kitchen. “If he knots, that is so unfair! That gives him like, an extra three inches!”
“I don’t knot, oh my god, what is wrong with you?!” He yelled at Stiles who raised a brow.
“You sure you don’t knot?”
“Well I’ve never tried!”
You put your hands out. “If you can knot, we’re trying that as soon as possible. I’m on birth control so it works out.”
Stiles gapes at you. “That is so not fair!”
“It’s not, but you can put that mouth to something better than talking shit,” you say, giggling as you walk over to them both and pull one of their hands to each side of your hips. “You guys are okay with this, right?”
Stiles couldn’t help but smile as he pulled you closer, leaning down to brush his nose against yours. “I am, babe. I just want you.”
You couldn’t help but smile until Derek quickly grabs your chin, strong fingers delicately pulling your face to look at him. “Me too, bumblebee.”
You giggled at the nickname as he leaned down, humming softly as he pulled you in for a soft kiss. Stiles groans in annoyance making you pull back slightly, quickly leaning forward to pull your lips to his instead. “We should skip movie night.”

Stiles Stillinski: The Best friend
Stiles stillinski x fem!reader
Summary:
Stiles and stiles are the best friends.
Also just to be clear I know that the true meaning behind this song is, I just heard that one clip and got an idea.
Tumblr media
(Stiles in a backwards cap>>>)
I’m just the best friend in Hollywood movies, who only exist to continue the story.
The pack had made plans to go bowling, and didn’t think to tell stiles and y/n who were sitting at home trying to solve one of their most recent supernatural problems. Y/n sighed “where the hell is Scott?” She asked impatiently. The pair had been waiting on him for about 45 minutes. Stiles shrugged and asked “should I call him again?”. Y/n shook her head “no, we’re gonna go over to his house and see what the hell is up” she said standing up. Stiles didn’t object following close behind her. when they arrived at Scott’s, stiles rang the door bell. Not 10 seconds later the door opened to show an out of breath Melissa. “Stiles, y/n? What are you doing here why aren’t you with the others?” She asked. The pair looked at each other then back at her in confusion “what do you mean Scott was supposed to meet us an hour ago to talk about the recent “drama”” stiles said. Melissa seemed taken aback “guys, the others are at the movies” she said. y/n looked at stiles shocked while he just stared at Melissa in seemingly stunned. “Okay, thanks” y/n said grabbing stiles and dragging him to the Jeep. Tears stung at y/ns eyes and stiles looked like he had just been betrayed. Y/n grabbed his hand making him look at her. She put a smile on as tears ran down her face “I’m sure it was a mistake” she said the words trying to cheer the boy up but not even believing them herself.
The girl gets the guy while I’m standing off screen
Y/n and stiles watched all of their friends fall in and out of love wondering if they’d ever find that kind of connection, They both found comfort in each other since in the same situation. It was especially bad when they both lost their crushes to people that weren’t them. They sat broken, crying together and eventually healed together.
So, ill wait for my cue to be comedic relief
“I don’t know how to help you to help me tell you something that would help you if I don’t know it” stiles said to Scott’s dad who was holding him and y/n hostage at this point. He looked to y/n “you seem to be the more sensible one here, help me out would ya?” Scotts dad asked. Y/n looked at stiles who just shrugged and back at the tall man in front of her “see I would help you but… I don’t know how to help you to help me tell you something that would help you if I don’t know it” she said making the man huff in anger, discreetly high giving stiles who had a proud look on his face.
Can’t be too loud
“SHHHHH” echoed across the room while everyone looked at stiles and y/n who were just goofing around during the game.
Can’t be too busy, if I don’t answer now are they still gonna need me?
Y/n had gotten a call from Allison who had asked if she and stiles could help find the new werewolf that they had discovered to which y/n politely declined for te=he first time ever as stiles had asked her on a date. After that it took a week and a half for either of them to be contacted
———
“Hey stiles” y/n spoke up from her place on his chest. She felt his hum vibrate through his body. “Do you think our friends would care if something were to happen to either of us?” She asked. Stiles stiffened as if caught off guard by the question. “Honestly I’m not sure, I think they’d fight to find or save us but not as hard as they would for each other.” He said sounding sad.
Not too long after that conversation void happened, Scott fought his hardest to get stiles back while y/n had sat with boiling anger towards the boy who had only just started caring for his “best friends” again.

New Faces in New Places
Pairing: Derek Hale x Reader
Word Count: 3.3k
Warnings: none really, just run of the mill teen wolf dangers lol
Genre: fluff I'd say
Summary: After a few signs from your familiar you're moving to a new town and you find out very quickly that it is anything but ordinary
Tumblr media
***
You cross-reference the address your mom gave you with the building you're currently parked in front of. It looks like the right place but man, moving to a new town is always a hassle.
"We finally made it Ellie. You almost burned down my old apartment to get me here but- we made it. You'll have to wait here though, okay? I know mom trusts this guy but I'm not too eager to bring you into a vet's office for no reason." You say to your bird before you get out of the car. You make sure to leave the windows down because heavens know how long you'll be here. You walk into the office, startled slightly by the sound of the bell over the door. A Black man walks out of the back room wearing a lab coat over his maroon colored button-down. He's bald and has neatly trimmed facial hair.
"Hello. How can I help you?" He asks.
"Hi, Dr. Alan Deaton, I'm guessing?"
"Excuse me, do I know you?"
"Not me. But you do know my mother."
"And who is your mother?" He asks, an eyebrow quirking up at you. You wave a hand over your wrist, exposing your family crest marked into your skin, and show it to him.
"My goodness." He gasps stepping back. He swings open the door by the counter and gestures for you to follow him through the doorway he originally came through. "It's like seeing a ghost. I never thought I'd be seeing that crest again after your mother and I went our separate ways. Wait is she-"
"She's fine. Living her best life in Europe." You say, eyes shifting around the room to take it in as you lean against the metal exam table.
"That's good. What brings you here then?"
"Actually, my familiar. Kind of. She knocked over a candle that burned this spot on a map and when I did some digging, spoke to my mom and she told me it had to be here. Also that I'd find you at this place."
"I wasn't aware your mother still knew where I was but honestly leave it to her to keep track of her associates." He chuckles.
"Yeah, she told me if I was coming to Beacon Hills I had to find you first. So what do I need to know about your little town?" You ask.
"Oh well, we definitely get a lot of strange activity here. Beacon Hills has a nematon."
"Beacon Hills has a nematon?" That gets your attention. You had no idea.
"It was cut down many years ago so it's been dormant for quite some time until recently when a group of teenagers accidentally reactivated it."
"A group of teenagers reactivated a nematon?! What the hell kind of teenagers are running around here?" You blink at him.
"They weren't trying to. They were only trying to track down their parents and stop some human sacrifices."
"And they somehow reactivated a nematon? And they did that accidentally on their own?"
"I didn't know it would reactivate a chopped down tree but we also didn't have many other options at the time."
"So I take it you're quite involved with this group of teenagers?" You ask.
"Their ringleader works for me." He shrugs.
"Their ringleader works for you? So you're the adult to our resident Scooby gang." You laugh.
"What?"
"A Scooby gang is the term I use for a group of teenagers who have a knack for getting into shenanigans they have no business getting into." You shrug.
"Well, you know. Druids are advisors by nature."
"Sure- to supernaturals usually. Is this group of kids supernaturals?"
"Not all of them."
"Not all of them?! Are there a lot of supernatural kids around here?"
"Relatively?"
"What does that mean-?" You shake your head.
"Deaton! We need your help! It's Isaac- something's wrong he's not healing!" The frantic yelling along with loud movement from the front of the office turns your attention from Deaton to the doorway, your question forgotten as a man with dark hair comes barrelling in with a younger boy behind him carrying another. They all halt at the door when they see you standing there and you're smart enough to pivot so you're standing next to Deaton, out of the way assuming they intend to lay the half-conscious one on the table.
"Well don't just stand there bring him here. What happened?" Deaton asks. The man steps to the side boy carrying the other can lay him on the table.
"Wolfsbane." You say quietly, immediately picking up its signature with a magical scan of the boy.
"What?" Deaton's gaze snaps to you.
"It's Wolfsbane, we have to get it out of his system if you want him to heal himself. Do you know what kind? How it got in his system?"
"Does that matter?" The man asks staring at you from across the exam table.
"Kind of. All of that stuff affects potency and subsequently the best solution to-"
"Y/n." Deaton says gently.
"He's a bit old for your Scooby gang but I take it he's part of it?"
"I should've prefaced. They aren't all teenagers."
"Noted. But he is. And he's dying." Your gaze shoots down to the kid on the table again. "How do you want to go about this?" You ask crossing your arms.
"Can you tell me if it's yellow wolfsbane?" He asks.
"It's not." You say after a moment of your eyes flitting across the gash in his side.
"Good. So we can burn it out of him."
"You're going to induce a fever?" You ask and Deaton shakes his head.
"He's bleeding too much too fast. You'll have to burn it out."
"Me?" You blink at him.
"You know how to right?"
"Of course I do." You say.
"Well I don't keep a torch in the office so yes you'll have to do it." Deaton nods. You hardly notice the other two watching your conversation like it's a tennis match, both sets of eyes darting back and forth between you as you talk quickly with Deaton.
"Very well." You sigh rotating your neck and cracking your knuckles in preparation. You grasp the young boy's hand.
"What is she doing?" The man asks, almost growling as he shoots a glare.
"Saving Isaac's life. Back down Derek. You came here for help." Deaton says.
"Hi, Isaac. My name's y/n. I'm gonna do my best to make it quick but this is gonna be uncomfortable for a little while so- feel free to scream or break my hand." You say gently to the boy on the table, Isaac you presume, before closing your eyes. When they open again your irises are literal flames that shock the two people watching you carefully as their friend's life is in your hands. Isaac groans, his back arching off the table and his fingers squeezing around your hand with a strength that would probably crush it if he wasn't currently bleeding out on the table. It takes longer than you expect, seeking out and burning the wolfsbane coursing through his blood, but after a few minutes his blood starts to boil and you know there's no more of the deadly plant in his system. You close out your spell and wait for his grip to loosen before releasing his hand.
"I think you should wrap that gash. He's clear now but- there's no way of knowing when his healing will kick in." You tell Deaton. Deaton nods and grabs a gauze pad and medical tape.
"He'll be okay?" The other teenager looks at you and Deaton.
"Yeah he'll be fine." Deaton nods.
"What are you?" The teenager looks at you curiously.
"Who are you?" The man asks, his gaze is still skeptical but much less hostile, there's something in his eyes that you can't quite identify. Akin to awe but not quite.
"Scott, Derek, this is y/n. She's new in town. Y/n, this is Scott McCall and Derek Hale."
"Members of your Scooby gang." You say.
"Why do you keep saying that?" Derek asks.
"Before you walked in here Deaton was telling me about a particularly atypical group of teenagers that had a knack for getting into shenanigans."
"I'm not a teenager." Derek says.
"You haven't already met Stiles have you?" Scott asks. You turn to Deaton with a confused look on your face.
"Scott's best friend. Shenanigan might as well be his middle name. He's quite the erratic kid." Deaton explains.
"Ah- well, no. You, four are my intro to Beacon Hills." You say. Isaac groans as his eyes finally start to open. His half-lidded gaze turns to you and his brows furrow as he tries to identify the stranger in the room.
"You saved me." He mutters. "Are you an angel?" He asks suspiciously making you giggle at the question.
"No sweetie. In fact, some people would call me the opposite."
"Y/n don't freak him out." Deaton chuckles.
"No angel, just a witch. But welcome back. Whoever did this knicked you real good." You tell him with a soft smile and gentle squeeze of his arm.
"Well- thank you." Isaac says.
"A witch?" Scott blinks at you.
"Yep. I don't understand how this kid got wolfsbane poisoning. Are there hunters in Beacon Hills?" You frown at Deaton.
"Sometimes." Deaton says.
"One of them's an ally now though. He helps us a lot." Scott says.
"Hunters and werewolves working together. This is one interesting little town." You muse.
"You'll get used to it pretty quick." Deaton chuckles.
"Oh I'm sure. I'd hang around but Ellie will start to get antsy if she doesn't get out of her carrier soon so I have to find my house. I'll be in touch Deaton. I have a feeling this conversation is far from over." You say.
"You can call me when you get settled if you have any immediate questions. Or swing by later." Deaton says writing his number on the back of a card.
"You rest up Isaac at least a few hours before you do anything strenuous. And watch that gash, if it doesn't start healing within the hour come back to Deaton. And I assume you two will look after him. Nice to meet you all." You say to the trio of wolves before taking the card from Deaton and leaving the office. You don't notice the way Derek's eyes follow you but Deaton does, and he has to make a conscious effort to stifle his smile.
A week later and you're mostly settled into your new home. Ellie is also pretty well acquainted with her new space, which is great because she can be quite particular.
"Something interesting out there Ellie?" You ask when your bird perches by the window, staring outside as intently as a bird can. Her wings flutter fiercely for a moment and she attempts to pry open the window with her beak. You quickly stand from your couch and whistle at her, tapping your finger to guide her over.
"I take it we have to be somewhere? Now when I take you out there wait for me to get on my bike before you start rushing off to whatever danger you're chasing." You warn her as you put on your shoes. She coos at you with her head tilted slightly and you roll your eyes before leaving your apartment. Outside you barely manage to get the bike running before Ellie flies off down a street.
"Dammit Ellie." You huff, speeding after her on your bike, looking up every so often to check her flight path. She eventually perches on a perches on a light by a warehouse and you take off your helmet ready to curse her for being so frantic but the sound of voices inside grabs your attention.
"I told you not to rush off you silly bird." You hiss at her when she flies down to sit on your shoulder as you approach the door curiously. You can see two people standing to the side but ready to jump in along with three, no four, people circling each other and you can hear growling, which is cleared up when one of the faces is revealed to be Scott from Deaton's office. You've had a couple more conversations with Deaton since your first one and have since learned that Scott is the ringleader he'd mentioned that first day and that he's got a whole bunch of supernatural friends. You whistle loudly enough to get everyone's attention and six pairs of eyes snap to you. You recognize Isaac in the bunch too. The two other guys they were growling at don't match any of the descriptions Deaton's given you so, process of elimination tells you the other two people looking at you must be Stiles and Lydia.
"Whatever you think you saw, you didn't we were just teens doing- teen goof things." Stiles, you're pretty sure, frantically says.
"You know Stiles I'd have expected a better excuse from you." You say. "That is Stiles right?" You ask Scott. He and Isaac nod which causes Stiles to look frantically between the three of you.
"How do you know my name?! And you two know her? Why don't I know her? Who are you?" Stiles asks.
"I'm gonna ask that you hold all questions briefly." You tell Stiles before turning your attention to the two unidentified individuals who still look to be on guard. "You two, I'm guessing, do not belong here." You address them only to be met with a growl that you immediately counter with a command. "Ciúin." You say sharply and their aggression dwindles. "I suggest you both return to where you belong of your own free will while you can. This territory is not up for grabs." You say sternly, flashing your magic in warning. The boys glare at you as if they are planning to challenge your demand but neither seems willing to take the risk when they meet your warning gaze. After a stretch of silence, they let out another growl at Scott and Isaac before leaving.
"We totally could've taken them." Isaac huffs.
"What did you do?" Scott asks.
"Nothing really just- a scare tactic I learned some years ago." You shrug.
"Well thank you." He nods.
"Can I ask my questions now?" Stiles asks.
"Stiles, Lydia, this is y/n. She's new to Beacon Hills." Scott says to his friends.
"So how do you already know her?" Stiles asks.
"She knows Deaton. And, she saved Isaac's life." Scott says.
"Yeah." Isaac nods. "Hi again." He says to you with a shy smile.
"Hi, Isaac. You look much better than the last time I saw you." You return his smile with one of your own when he straightens up at your attention.
"So do you! I- I mean, now that I'm not like half-conscious or whatever." He says awkwardly shifting his gaze from you.
"Hey, how did you even know we'd be here?" Scott asks you.
"Ellie." You say lifting your shoulder slightly to show off the bird still perched there contently. "She flew right to you." You add, handing her a treat you conjured.
"That's a pigeon." Stiles says.
"She's my familiar." You correct him.
"You have a familiar?" Lydia asks.
"Correct." You nod.
"What does that mean? Is she not human?" Stiles asks Lydia.
"I'm a witch. Think druid but cooler." You wink at him. "Don't tell Deaton I said that." You add in a stage whisper that makes the others laugh.
"So is that how you knew my name?" Stiles asks.
"No. Deaton's just been giving me the 411 on everyone I need to know about so I made a guess based on the names and descriptions I have." You say.
"Scott we've gotta have a talk man. When you meet people who might be of significance like witches you're supposed to tell me!" Stiles says.
"I figured you'd meet her yourself soon enough." Scott shrugs.
"Before this continues- because I'm sure it will. What were those guys doing here anyway?" You ask interrupting the couple's quarrel that's about to start.
"They were- sending a message." Isaac says.
"A message? To whom?" You frown.
"Scott. Looks like word's gotten around that he's an alpha."
"It's a good thing you showed up when you did because I had a really bad feeling about them fighting." Lydia mutters.
"I guess Ellie's taken a liking to you all. She's the one who sensed there was trouble."
"Thank you Ellie." Scott says nodding at your bird.
"You all should get out of here and head home before any more trouble comes looking for you." You say.
"Will you be alright getting home?" Isaac asks you.
"I should be asking you all that." You chuckle.
"Stiles will drive us." Scott tells you.
"So?" Isaac prompts.
"I appreciate the concern hon but I am an adult, with enough magical power to level a city. I'll be fine on my bike." You laugh. "Now you guys get going." Everyone starts to move towards the door except Stiles, who starts to object when he sees his friends leaving.
"Hang on now just because you stopped a fight doesn't mean you can- woah woah hang on!" Stiles loses his train of thought as Scott drags him towards the warehouse entrance and you chuckle.
"Come on man don't be an ass." Scott mutters to his friend.
"I just want you to know I have more questions for you that I will be asking at a later date!" Stiles calls to you even as he's being removed.
"Deaton has my address! Have him give it to you and you can come by and ask as many questions as you want!" You shout after him.
"I will do exactly that!" He points just before the group exits and you laugh to yourself in the empty warehouse.
"You brought me across the country to protect this group of teenagers?" You ask Ellie. "I hope you know we'll have no more peace." You scoff at her before the two of you leave the warehouse yourselves.
A few hours later a knock on your door pulls you away from the movie you're watching. You place your mug of hot chocolate on the table before walking over to your front door and checking the spyhole to find Derek on your porch.
"Derek?! What are you doing here?" You ask with a frown. You haven't seen him since you met last week and quite frankly you weren't sure you would. He seemed rather apprehensive around you all in all.
"I- heard you helped the kids out of a jam earlier. I wanted to thank you." He says.
"Oh- no need. They probably could've sorted it out themselves honestly but Ellie really felt we had to step in."
"Ellie?"
"My bird, familiar."
"Familiar- that's right, you're a witch."
"I am indeed." You chuckle. "You- said you came here to thank me? I don't want you to feel like you have to do-"
"Oh I don't! Didn't. I'm not here out of obligation I wanted to come. It's not every day someone as pretty as you moves to Beacon Hills."
"Are you flirting with me Derek Hale?" You ask, surprised at his direct line.
"Depends on if it's working." He says.
"Are you here to ask me on a date or not Derek?" You ask. There's a moment of silence before he replies.
"Will you go on a date with me?" He asks.
"I would love to." You smile at him.
"I've been trying to work up the courage to ask you that all week." Derek breathes out.
"How cute. Do you have a phone?"
"Of course I do."
"Do you have it with you?" He hands you the device eagerly and you input your number for him. "You can call me when you've figured out the details." You say handing it back to him. "Okay?" You prompt when all he does is give you a goofy smile.
"Okay." He says still giving you a pleased look that makes you want to laugh at how cute he is. You jolt suddenly when your own phone rings on your coffee table.
"Oh shoot- one second." You say rushing to grab it. Unknown number. "Hello?" You answer walking back over to your front door where Derek has his phone pressed to his ear, looking at you cheekily as he speaks and his voice comes through your device.
"I'll pick you up at 7:30 on Friday?" He asks and you laugh before you give him an answer.
"Didn't realize you already had a plan."
"Oh, I've been planning all week. If you said yes I wanted to be ready."
"Then I will see you Friday. For now, you should go home, looks like it's going to rain." You say noticing the clouds obscuring the usually starry night sky. Derek looks up as if he didn't even realize.
"Right. I'll see you Friday." He says with one last smile before he takes off. You smile to yourself as you return to your movie and hot chocolate. Friday just can't come soon enough. Maybe moving to Beacon Hills was a more perfect idea than you gave Ellie credit for.

The room of the quint motel room was quiet, the only sounds filling the air were the combined breathing of you and Derek as you stared at the paint cracks in the ceiling. His finger was brushing up and down your arm from where his hand crawled up from beneath you, your hand drawing the faintest shapes on his bare chest as you tried to swallow a smile, the content that filled your body making your nerves vibrate with happiness.
It was Eli's idea to send the two of you away for a little romantic getaway once summer break rolled around, he was left in the loving and teenager-friendly hands of Melissa while the two of you booked into a motel upstate, closer to the forest, just like you preferred it. Your relationship had been developing far quicker than either of you expected and though you were happy with the little instant family you'd found, it was definitely good to have some alone time again, even just for a little while.
"Do you think Melissa is doing okay?" you pondered out loud, having spent a few too many minutes worrying about Eli being too much for her to handle, she might have survived a Scott, but surviving an Eli was a different story. "Like do you think we should call to check in?"
"I think she's fine," he breathed, the smile on his lips was a familiar one, one he couldn't control as easily as the others, it was because this family thing came so easily to you that it made his heart soar every time. "We can call him tomorrow if you want," he knew you would want to, knew that as new as being in Eli's life was to you, it was a role you filled perfectly.
"Sorry," you were shy in responding to that, shifting to lean onto his chest more, taking the sheet with you to create a layer between your bodies, cheeks warming and making you feel slightly silly as he raised a brow at you. "I just feel a little bad stealing his dad from him for so long," he cupped your cheek, always eager to have a hand on you in some way, basking in the look of bliss that you couldn't hide even if you tried.
"I'm sure he doesn't mind," he noted, thumb brushing a fallen lash from your cheekbone, humming when you leaned into the touch, a little hint of pride circling his stomach that you reacted to him so naturally. "As I know him, I don't think sending us away was just for our benefit alone," fair enough, you thought, he was a teenager after all. "Now why don't we stop worrying about things back home and enjoy our time together instead," his suggestion was paired with a soft smirk, far too little of a gesture to make your spine tingle as it did. "You tired yet?" you shook your head, but he could tell it wasn't completely true, your heartbeat gave you away.
"Maybe a little," your admission was followed by a small yawn, his eyes softening as you brought a hand up to cover it, never failing to look absolutely adorable doing the most mundane little things. "I don't want to go to sleep yet."
"That's risky," he teased, squeezing your waist gently, forcing you closer, practically moving you right on top of you as you rested your elbows on his chest to prop you up. "If you don't get enough sleep we risk having a grumpy girl in the morning."
"I think we should risk it," you replied quickly, stealing a quick kiss and smiling instantly when he smiled against your lips, not surprised when he stole a few more in return, pleased when you groaned lightly at him pulling away, head pushing back into the pillow to see you.
"You take many risks then, sweetheart?" he had a feeling that he knew what the answer would be, but he was eager to hear you say it even if he knew. You shook your head, raising a hand to his head, dragging your finger through his hair slowly, and thoughtfully, humming to yourself as you took him in.
"None," you admitted and you wanted to kiss him again he looked so sweet, so concentrated, taking in every word or lack thereof as he waited ever patiently for you to finish. "My biggest risk was saying yes when you asked me out," you explained with a smile, just the thought of everything the two of you'd faced since then was enough to make your heart skip around in your chest. "Dating an older guy with a kid and a reputation?" you shook your head in faux seriousness. "Risky business."
"You think it paid off?" his arms circling your body were answer enough, the sheet slipping away in the process leaving you chest to chest and earning yet another flash of heat in your cheeks.
"I'm not sure yet," you bit your lip to hide the smirk that begged to tilt into your face, managing the perfect look of innocence as you locked eyes with him.
"Oh?" he caught onto what you were doing right away, a smirk of his own on his lips as he flipped the two of you over, almost breaking when your giggles filled the room, hands grasping his shoulders as your eyes softened even more, if possible. "Guess I need to show you what I'm good for?"
"Again?"
"Well, trouble, you said you didn't want to sleep," your giggles grew louder as his lips brushed over your jawline, lowering in their well-known torturingly slow pace down your neck and taking a little detour across your shoulder blade, a sensation that tickled through your entire body. When he looks up with a devilish grin hidden behind the kindest and most loving eyes, you knew, though you'd never doubted it before, that the risk most definitely paid off.
