Summary: You show Derek the rebuilt Hale House you did for him
Words: 1.8k

Y/N’s POV
The old Hale House had stood as a haunting reminder of the past, a testament to the tragedy and loss the family had endured. But now, it has been transformed into something new, something hopeful. With the combined effort of the pack and my Dad, it had become a symbol of rebirth and unity, a mansion that has welcomed every member with open arms and spare rooms for new pack members.
As I stand in front of the restored mansion, I can’t help but feel a mixture of excitement and nervousness. Derek, who had once lived here in its glory days, deserves to see what I’ve done to the place. He’s been through so much, and I wanted this surprise to be a new beginning for him… for us hopefully.
The anticipation in the air is palpable, and I can’t help but fidget with the key in my hand as I wait for Derek. The old Hale House, bathed in the soft light of the setting sun, seems to hold its breath in eager anticipation of his arrival. And then, I hear it - the familiar purr of Derek’s car engine. It’s a sound that I’ve come to associate with his arrival, and my heart quickens in response. The car pulls down the long, winding driveway, and I keep staring at the house, my hands shaking a little as I fiddle with the keys.
Suddenly, there he is. Derek appears beside me, his tall, brooding frame casting a shadow on the gravel driveway. He looks rugged and handsome as ever, with that alluring air of mystery that has always drawn me to him. His dark brows are furrowed in curiosity and confusion, his eyes scanning the mansion before us as if he’s trying to work out where we are. It makes my heart drop as he doesn’t recognise it despite me trying to keep it as near as I can to the original Hale house.
But then, something remarkable happens. As his eyes roam over the mansion’s exterior, his brows furrow even deeper, and then there’s a hint of disbelief in his expression. It’s as if the familiarity of the place has begun to dawn on him, piece by piece. The realisation hits him like a tidal wave. His kaleidoscope eyes widen, and a gasps escapes his pretty and plump lips, “Is… is this….?” His voice trembles with emotion, and for a moment, he can’t seem to find the words.
I hold out the keys for him and he looks between the house and the keys and then back at the house, “I can’t… I… can you…” His voice falters, and it’s clear that he’s fighting back tears, the enormity of the moment almost too much to bear. Without a word, I’m nodding and reaching for his trembling hands. Our fingers interlace, and with a gentle squeeze, I lead him towards the grand entrance.
Derek’s eyes remain locked onto the mansion, his disbelief and wonder still etched across his features. But he doesn’t need to say anything more for me to understand the whirlwind of emotions storming within him.
I turn the key in the lock, my own fingers trembling slightly with anticipation. The door swings open, revealing the lovingly restored interior. The warm, golden light spills into the entryway, painting a new chapter on the old canvas of the Hale House. The grand entrance is now invitingly open, Derek taking a step forwards. His presence is so close to me that his chest is practically pressed against my back. The feel of him so near is electrifying, and it sends a shiver down my spine.
“Welcome home Derek.” I say, my voice a soft, heartfelt whisper, as we cross the threshold together.
The atmosphere inside is a mixture of nostalgia and fresh beginnings. The original features of the Hale House have been preserved, the hardwood floors polished, the walls adorned with artworks from the pack. The spaciousness of the rooms has been maintained, yet there’s a sense of cozy warmth that wasn’t there before.
Derek’s gaze dances the space, a mixture of awe and sentimentality reflected in his expressive eyes. He appreciates the care and attention that went into preserving the essence of the house he called home.
Then, he grabs my hands again with a gentle yet firm grip, leading me through the echoing halls as the pack gave us the house for Derek to see alone.  It’s a touch that sends a rush of warmth through me, the electricity of his touch palatable. We move through the house, our footsteps echoing, and Derek’s strides confident, as if he’s revisiting his own memories.
As we ender the kitchen, Derek stops in his tracks. A soft, almost reverent sound escapes him, and his eyes widen again as he takes in the layout. It’s practically identical to the original Hale House kitchen, meticulously restored to match his recollections with the help of creepy uncle Peter.
His grip on my hand tightens, and he turns to me, his expression filled with amazement, “This… it’s just like I remember it.” He says, his vice soft and filed with wonder, “You’ve brought it all back to life.”
I can’t help but smile at his reaction. The kitchen holds countless memories for him, both happy and bittersweet, and seeing it so faithfully restored means the world to him. "We wanted it to feel like home," I reply, my voice equally hushed, knowing how much this place means to him. Derek’s thumb brushes over the back of my hand, his touch conveying the depth of his gratitude. It’s a silent exchange of emotions, the unspoken understanding between us.
And then, something changes in the air. Derek turns to me, his kaleidoscope eyes now shining with warmth and something else, something that sends a shiver of anticipation down my spine. His gaze flits down my lips, and in response, I can’t help but wet them with my tongue, suddenly feeling acutely aware of their dryness. It draws a small sound from Derek’s throat, low and almost involuntary, a testament to the magnetic pull between us. He leans in, closing the distance between our lips with a purposeful intent. Our mouths meet in a soft, longing kiss, a silent declaration of the emotions that have simmered between us for so long.
His lips are soft yet insistent, moving against mine with a deliberate tenderness. I can feel the gentle, rhythmic movement of his mouth, each touch setting my heart racing. There’s a hint of urgency in his kiss, a desire that has been simmering just beneath the surface. Derek’s hands finding their way to my waist, holding e close as if he never wants to let me go. The touch of his fingertips against my skin sends shivers down my spine, and I press my body closer to his, wanting to feel every inch of him.
My own hands move to rest on his chest, feeling the solid warmth of his body beneath my touch. They gradually work their way up, entwining in his shirt, wanting to pull him closer still. The connection between us deepens with every passing second, a silent confirmation of the emotions we’ve held back fr so long.
Derek’s hands, which had been gently holding my waist, suddenly tighten their grip and before I can react, he’s lifting me up with a powerful yet careful motion. My legs instinctively wrap around this waist as he sets me on the edge of the kitchen island, never once breaking the kiss.
Our lips remain locked in a heated embrace, a heated embrace, a testament to the fiery passion that's been ignited between us. Derek's tongue brushes over my lips, seeking entrance, and without hesitation, I part them, with a small, embracing sound escaping my lips which he swallows, tongue slipping past my lips. It's a dance of desire, a clash of longing, and a melding of two souls that have been drawn together by an irresistible force. Our mouths move with a shared urgency, each kiss deeper and more consuming than the last.
As our tongues explore and intertwine, Derek’s grip on my hips tightens, pulling me closer until I’m arched on the edge of the kitchen island. The sensation of his body pressed against mine is electrifying, sending heat down south where I’m pressed against his growing problem. It has my thighs tightening around him, hips jerking a little and drawing sounds from both of us.
Finally our lips part, but only slightly, our foreheads resting against each other as we catch our breath. Derek’s voice is a husky whisper, filled with raw desire, “I’ve wanted to do that for so long.” He confesses, his words heavy with yearning, “ I couldn’t keep it in any longer.”
My heart flutters at his admission, and I look into his kaleidoscope eyes, my own filled with the same longing, “Der…” I breathe, “I’ve felt the same way. I’ve wanted this as much as you have.”
His lips find mine again, and the kiss that follows is fierce and fervent, a passionate culmination of our unspoken desires. It's a promise, a declaration, and a celebration of the love that has finally been acknowledged.
But then, Derek's lips trail down from mine to my neck, and his kisses ignite a trail of fire across my skin. I gasp as his mouth leaves a mark, a fervent, possessive hickey, and another one right beside it. Each one is a silent proclamation of his desire, a mark of his longing for me. As Derek's kisses continue to trail down my neck, I gasp and my fingers clutch at his shoulders. The sensation is almost too much to bear, the heat of his mouth leaving a trail of fire across my skin, marked by possessive hickeys.
“Y/N,” He murmurs breathlessly voice heavy with desire, “If we don’t stop, I won’t be able to stop myself.” He pulls away slightly, his eyes dark and smouldering now and he lets out a low and sensual chuckle when an embarrassing moan escapes me.
“Maybe…” I have to clear my throat, “Maybe we should check out your room.” My heart is racing as I say it, looking at him with a mixture of curiosity and desire, eager to hear his response but also somewhat ready for the rejection.
Instead, he groans, head falling to my shoulder before he growls out, “Don’t… don’t say things like that baby girl.” I stay silent, knowing there’s more and he kissing my collarbone sweetly before murmuring, “But, I think it’s a very, very good idea.”

Ours | Derek Hale Oneshot
Tumblr media
Word Count: 3.5K Requested by @gracelynn318: "Derek or Stiles finding out that their significant other (the reader) is pregnant and they try to keep it secret for as long as possible" Warnings: pregnancy, pregnancy symptoms (vomiting, nausea, fatigue)
Summary: Derek Hale and (Y/N) have been together for a long time, and they didn't know something was missing from their lives until it arrived unexpectedly. And all they want to do is revel in the moment for as long as they can, by themselves.
A/N: this story follows 0% of canon, just the character's names. will admit. I am a horrible Teen Wolf fan that has yet to see season 5 and 6, and I've also yet to watch the movie. So, definitely an AU 😬also, be on the lookout for tonight or tomorrow for another surprise regarding this request 😉😉
Tumblr media
Derek had noticed the change long before (Y/N) had. Long before she knew why she spent her days expelling her meals down the toilet drain, before she understood why her body craved more food than she could keep down, before she had even noticed that a month had passed and her period had not arrived.
It came late at night. The soft putter of a heartbeat that felt so far that it could have been confused with the sound of rain against the pavement. They had been lying in bed, the exhaustion of living in Beacon Hills the only thing they needed to crash at night. But the sound had been bothering Derek. The continuous rhythm didn’t allow the wolf to lose himself in much-needed slumber. The sound kept him up, especially from where it was coming from.
“(Y/N),” he whispered, running his hand up and down her arm to wake her. “(Y/N), baby, wake up.”
“Mm,” she groaned groggily, cuddling to his body tightly. “Go to sleep, Derek.”
“(Y/N), I gotta ask you something. Wake up.”
“We can talk in the morning,” she whined. “I’m tired right now.”
“It’s important,” he chuckled softly. “I need your complete focus.”
With a loud exhale, (Y/N) sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. The sheet fell from her torso, and the coldness of the night made her skin erupt in goosebumps. She rarely got angry with Derek, but she was coming quite close at that very moment. “You better have a good reason to wake me, Der,” she said. “I’m so tired I might just put off killing you until tomorrow.”
“Listen, please,” he said. “When was the last time you got your period?”
“What?” the girl questioned. “You seriously just woke me up to ask about my cycle?”
“More or less. Just answer. Did you get it last month?”
It took her a moment to think. The grogginess of being woken up still clutched her mind, and recounting the past weeks was hard. But her body startled awake as she realized she had not gotten her shark week in a month and a half. That fact alone did not scare her. She had always been irregular, and in moments of stress, it was more likely than not that she skipped a cycle. The problem was that not only had she missed a period, she had been feeling sick for the past three weeks. And the math was not too hard to do.
“I-I didn’t,” she stammered. “W-why are you asking?”
“Oh my god,” he answered. “Oh my god!”
“What? What’s wrong?”
Instead of answering, Derek pressed his ear to her stomach until he could hear the sound clearly. Alongside (Y/N)’s quickening heartbeat, a quieter, steady pattern joined. It was too indistinguishable now. “You’re pregnant,” he said. So quiet he wasn’t sure if he had said it at all. “There’s a baby in there. Our baby.”
“Pregnant…” (Y/N) could not believe the word even as it rolled out of her tongue. “I can’t believe it.”
“We’ll go to Deaton tomorrow, but I’m certain. I can hear their heart beating in there.”
(Y/N)’s mind was reeling. Pregnant, she thought to herself. The word felt foreign. So did her body. Derek had noticed the change before her. How could she not have known that a life was growing inside her? How could she ever be a mother when she did not even know herself?
Without realizing it, tears fell down her cheeks. She felt weak and panicked. The strong woman that had faced the biggest dangers and far scarier monsters trembled with the thought of a life depending on her for survival. It was one thing to volunteer to protect the members of the pack. They were old enough to fend for themselves. It was another to be responsible for the life and survival of another human.
“Hey,” Derek called. His voice sounded like it was underwater. So far away that she could barely hear it. “Baby, what’s going on?”
She hadn’t noticed that she had stood from the bed and was pacing around their room. Her breathing was shallow, and her chest heaved as she took in short breaths, trying to steady herself. Tears kept falling faster than she could wipe them away. They warmed her cheeks before the air turned them cold. It was the only thing that grounded her.
And Derek. Always Derek.
He had gotten off the bed, and within a second, he was wrapping his arms around her. The warmth from his skin calmed her. It brought her senses back to the moment, steadying her rampant heart.
“What’s wrong, (Y/N)?” he spoke into the crook of her neck. “Tell me what I can do to make it better.”
“I’m scared, Derek,” she sighed, tightening her grip around him. “A baby. Here. Now.”
“Why not here?” Derek smiled, his hands running through her hair. “Why not now? With you as their mother, that baby could be born underground, and they would be the luckiest child in the world.”
“How could you be so sure?” (Y/N) cried. “I forget things all the time, I’m clumsy, I can barely redeem myself when it comes to fighting. If it weren’t for my weapons, I wouldn’t bring much to the fight against our enemies. What good would I be to protect a child? How could I be entrusted with their entire upbringing?”
“Oh, (Y/N). You’re far more valuable than what you bring to a fight.” His hands cradled her face, the green of his eyes boring into hers. “You are the most caring person I know. If it weren’t for you, I would have killed half of the pack by now. You’re smart. You’re funny. And if anyone should be terrified of becoming a parent, it should be me.”
“Come on,” she scoffed jokingly, her tears finally subsiding. “You’d be an amazing father. Temperamental, but great nonetheless.”
“Well, I’m glad it at least got you laughing,” he grinned. “How about we just take this one day at a time, baby? Make sure we take things slow. Tell people on our own time. Instead of going to the doctor, we buy a pregnancy test at the pharmacy; confirm what I already know.”
“But if you can hear the heartbeat, I am sure all the other wolves will, too,” she worried. “How am I supposed to take things as they come when everyone will know the second they come here?”
“Then, I won’t let anyone back here,” he smiled. “I’ll have them meet me at the warehouse or at Argent’s place. We can say you’re sick with something and won’t be there. Or that you went to visit family out of state –I don’t know. The point is, we can do this, baby. I know we can.”
“Well, I do admire your tenacity,” she chuckled, kissing his lips softly and hugging him again. “One day at a time, right?”
“One day at a time.”
And it worked. For two months, at least.
That very morning, he went out and returned home with five pregnancy tests and a bouquet of flowers. And five minutes later, they all showed an array of dark pink plus signs and the word Pregnant on them. Just like that, it had been confirmed. A new baby Hale would be coming to Beacon Hills in eight months.
They were excited. Of course, they were. But they couldn’t help the terror that overtook them as well. Bringing a new life into their world was a scary thought. The fact that anyone with knowledge of their child could use them against them was terrifying. Still, they wanted that baby more than anything they had wanted before.
The child that grew inside of (Y/N) was the tangible representation of their love. Evidence that everything life had thrown at them had not been able to push them apart, not for a second. They had been through hell and back, always together, and they had come out of every single occasion stronger than before. That baby was the final piece to their equation.
The next day, they went to the first available OB/GYN about an hour from the town. The doctor confirmed what they already knew, adding the new fact that she was around seven weeks along. The process was more than uncomfortable, but the result was well worth it. A tiny blob appeared on the screen, and the sound of a rapid heartbeat filled their ears. It made tears well up in their eyes. That tiny thing would soon turn into their baby. And even though it didn’t even have a distinguishable shape, they had fallen in love with them.
At first, they thought they would pass the first trimester in bliss. That they would only grow more and more excited as the days passed. And they would have. Had it not been for all the symptoms that overtook (Y/N).
She spent most of her day hunched over the toilet seat, emptying whatever was in her stomach. Even when she thought she could keep food down, an hour or two later, she would be in the bathroom letting it out. And if she wasn’t vomiting, she was ransacked with deep waves of nausea. Then, her breasts started to swell, painful jabs running through her every few days. In addition to heartburn and fatigue, it made her question just how worth it a baby could be.
But Derek had been attentive as ever, if not a little overbearing. He had kept his promise of moving where the meetings were held, claiming that the loft was under renovation while (Y/N) was out of town for a bit. It wasn’t a complete lie, though. He used his downtime to clean up around the house and fix things he had put off for far too long.
He fed her saltine crackers and electrolyte drinks, rubbed her back, and held her hair, and he loved her. Every day and every night, he loved her. Even when he had to stay up cleaning the bathroom or he had to carry her back to bed. He loved her through everything.
“You did this to me,” she had groaned one day. “All I want is to eat chips and pickles, but I can’t keep anything down.”
“I know, and I’m sorry,” he responded, drawing circles on her back as he cradled her body in the bathroom. “Hopefully, in a week, it’ll subside. You’re almost out of the first trimester, and the morning sickness should get better.”
“Stop reading pregnancy books,” she whined. “By the time this bun is fully baked, you’ll know more than me.”
“Isn’t that a good thing?” Derek chuckled but swallowed his laughter as (Y/N) gifted him an angry scowl. “Okay, okay. I think the ten books I’ve read will do.”
(Y/N) remained quiet and threw her head against his chest. His arms snaked around her body, a comfort she allowed herself to sink into. The warmth from his body felt nice against her shivering skin. But just his presence was enough to comfort her, regardless of the words she spoke.
“I’m sorry I’ve been snappy these past few days,” she sighed. Her eyes closed as he wrapped his arms tighter around her, her head falling against his chest. “I love this baby, and I love you, but I don’t love puking all the time. And peeing all the time. And being tired all the time. I want to fast forward to the next few months.”
“Hey, you can be snappy with me all you want. I can take it,” he said with a smile. “I will be right here every step of the way because I love you. More than you could ever know.”
“Even when I’m all big and bloated?” (Y/N) chuckled, her hands falling onto the growing small bump. “They're already trying to deform my body.”
“Well, at least you’re glowing.”
“No,” she sighed. “That’s just sweat.”
“Then you look beautiful covered in sweat,” he laughed. “Now, let’s get you to bed. Alright?”
(Y/N) could only nod and wrap her arms around his neck as he carried her back to bed, laying right next to her. Even if he couldn’t take this discomfort away, he was trying his best to make things better for her.
Another week passed, and things started to shift. The woman would only occasionally feel the need to throw up her food, but the constant nausea and heartburn had subsided. And once (Y/N) saw her baby's small fingers and feet in their 12-week ultrasound, she knew it had all been worth it.
She also knew they couldn’t keep the secret to themselves any longer.
The pack had become angsty. Wondering when (Y/N) would be coming back from her supposed trip. Two and a half months was far too long to just be with family. With no imminent danger in sight, they had too much time to check up on everyone else.
“I think it’s time we tell them,” (Y/N) told Derek as they watched a movie. She cradled her small bump, something she had unconsciously started to do. “We’re almost at the five-month mark, and I think it’ll be too hard to hide.”
“Do we really?” he groaned. “I can just keep you hidden here until the nine months are up. They don’t have to know a thing.”
“You would really keep the mother of your child sequestered in these walls until I give birth?”
“Maybe even more,” he shrugged. “Maybe I’ll keep you here forever.”
“You’re quite funny, Mr. Hale,” she chuckled. “But they are our friends —our family. They deserve to know there’s one more person to protect.”
“I’ve just really liked this time,” he sighed. His chin rested on her shoulder, his beard tickling her exposed skin. “You know, just you and me. Basking in the time we won’t have once everyone knows and once the baby is here. It’s all I’ve ever wanted, (Y/N). A family of my own, that I can love and protect. A home that’s ours.”
“And we will have that,” she smiled. “We’re just allowing more love in. The best part, at the end of the day, we can just kick them out.”
“When you put it that way,” he laughed before kissing her lips, savoring her. “Alright, fine. We’ll tell them next Saturday.”
“Thank you, Der. It’s gonna be great.”
And it should have.
Had it not been for the million things that went wrong that week. The A/C was busted for a total of four days, a pipe burst in one of the bathrooms, the paint they had ordered for the nursery had been put on back order, and the Camaro had to be taken into the shop for tuning. Thing after thing occurred, piling onto an already stressful time.
Nevertheless, the week came and went. And before either of them knew it, Saturday had rolled in.
To say (Y/N) was nervous was an understatement. For some reason, anxiety was taking over her body. Its claws dug themselves deep into her being. It made her veins run cold and her heart speed. She didn’t know how any of them would react to the baby. Even to the fact that they had kept it from them for so long. And although Derek tried his best to calm her worries, they had already made a home inside her head.
“God, what if they hate the fact that I’m pregnant?” (Y/N) worried as she laid out more food than necessary on the kitchen counter. “What if they find the idea of bringing a child into a messed up world to be the worst thing ever?”
“Who cares, baby? It’s our child,” Derek tried to reassure. “We are the ones that will be raising them. The ones to protect them. Always and forever.
“But they say it takes a village, Der. And that is one thing that I know is true. I mean, at some point, we will need their help.”
“And you really think we won’t have it,” he said, rounding the kitchen island. His hands traveled her body and, in one swift move, had her sitting on the counter. At eye level, he could stare directly into her glossy eyes. “We have been through everything with these people. Even the ones I hated at the beginning have become my closest friends. I’m 100% sure they’ll be thrilled that you’re pregnant.”
He snaked his hand to her chin, pulling her down for a soft kiss. But once their lips made contact, it was too much of a temptation to keep it chaste. Soon enough, their tongues danced together, and their hands pulled each other closer. It left them breathless and excited, wanting —needing more.
“Uh, we can come back if it’s a bad time,” Stiles’ voice rang through the apartment, startling them apart. “But you guys did invite us here. So, it’s kind of bad on you guys.”
“No. Yes! I mean, it’s not a bad time,” (Y/N) chuckled as she jumped off the counter, hiding her stomach with a comically large bowl. “We just got carried away, I guess.”
“The one day they decide to show up on time,” Derek grumbled under his breath. “Come in, why don’t you?”
Before they knew it, the apartment was filled with werewolves, a banshee, other werehumans and supernatural beings, and their very own abominable snowman. The couple remained in the kitchen as everyone situated themselves, whispering under their breath what the best way to go about it would be.
“Not to be pushy,” Peter called out. “But if you guys only called us over for some food, I have better things to do than hang around children all day.”
“You do know we’re all well above the age of eighteen, right?” Isaac retorted. “It’s been quite some time since we have been children.”
“You’re still younger than me, correct?”
“Well, yeah…”
“Then children,” he said. “So, what is it? Am I staying, or am I leaving?”
“Settle down, Peter,” Derek responded, biting back the urge to roll his eyes. “We do have something important to announce to everyone and would very much appreciate it if you just listen.”
“Fine,” he frowned. “But you have ten minutes of my time before I decide to leave.”
“All we need is a couple of seconds, really,” (Y/N) said with a smile on her face so sweet no one dared say anything else. “I’m sure you heard that I was away for a while and that we were undergoing renovations here. Which, as you can tell by the lack of changes, was not true. Derek lied on my behalf and moved any necessary meetings out of our home because I needed this time to myself as I underwent a sort of change in my life.”
“Oh my god, you’re dying,” Stiles worried. “Is it cancer? Is it at least treatable?”
“It’s nothing like that, Stiles,” she reassured with a soft chuckle. “But thank you for worrying. It’s just as life-changing but not necessarily life-threatening. At least, I’m hoping it’s not. But you could never be sure until…”
“(Y/N), you’re rambling,” Derek whispered in her ear. “It’s nothing bad.”
“You’re pregnant!” Lydia exclaimed, a bright smile adorning her face.
“How would you know that?” Malia questioned. “I thought you predicted death, not new life.”
“It’s common sense,” she shrugged, disregarding the comment. “She’s been hiding for months. The place smells like paint, and nothing in this room is painted, so I can only assume it’s a bedroom. And she hasn’t stepped out from behind the island that just so happens to cover her stomach. Two and two always makes four.”
“Except on this occasion, it made three,” (Y/N) chuckled. She walked around the counter and joined Derek’s side, her bump finally on display for everyone to see. “But, yes, Lydia, I am pregnant. Almost five months now.”
A shower of ‘holy crap’s and ‘oh my god’s rained over them as, one by one, the pack got to their feet and hugged the couple in congratulations. They rejoiced together and started planning how to spoil little baby Hale even before they were born. Every single person was as excited and overjoyed as Derek and (Y/N) were, anxious for when the baby was born.
Well, except Peter.
“Yeah, next time you have these kinds of news, little nephew, make sure to make it an email,” he grumbled, looking at his watch. “Can’t believe I canceled evening plans for a pregnancy announcement.”
“We love you too, Peter,” (Y/N) laughed. “Maybe if you leave now, you can still make it to whatever it is that you had planned.”
“I’m already here,” he shrugged as he sat back down on the sofa. “Might as well take advantage of the free food.”
“Ignore him,” Derek told her, wrapping his arms around her waist. “He can’t take this moment away from us. It’s all ours.”

Characters: Derek Hale, Stilinski!Twin, Scott McCall, Stiles Silinski
Pairings: Derek Hale x Stilinski!Twin Reader
Summary: You already had a brother and dad who treated you like a baby. You didn’t need a boyfriend who did as well.
Series Masterlist
Warnings: None! Unless you count an overprotective wolf.
A/N: Winter break is here. :D Have some angst, with a happy ending.
“I can take care of myself Derek. You don’t always have to treat me like a porcelain doll.” Your eyebrow twitched in annoyance.
“Babe, there’s a group of alphas out for blood. It’s clear they have some vendetta against me. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have gone after my betas. They want to hurt me and the easiest way is through you.”
“They’re not going to do something in broad daylight! I can’t just skip school and stay here so you can watch all day like a little puppy.”
You were in Derek’s loft, waiting for Stiles to pick you up. Instead of going to Heather’s party, you decided you wanted to keep Derek and Isaac company for the night. You had grown to love Isaac like a third brother, Scott being number 2. It hurt to see him so scared.
You told Stiles you didn’t want to go to Heather’s party because you and Isaac had to work on a school project together. He was too busy thinking about Heather to care whether or not you were attending. You were hoping for a relaxing night with Derek and Isaac. Maybe a movie and some cuddles with your Alpha. That wasn’t the case.
“Besides, Scott and Stiles are with me 24/7. Isaac too! And you forget that Alison comes from a family of trained hunters! Also, my dad is still the sheriff!” You emphasized the last sentence by raising your hands up high and huffed in annoyance. You were sick of everyone around you treating you like a baby. Stiles and your dad were already so overprotective of you. You didn’t need another man in your life who saw you as a weak damsel in distress.
“You know I don’t think that Y/N/N. I just want to make sure you’re safe. And the safest place is here with me at the loft, not at school with a pair of twin alphas!”
“No means no Derek. I’m not staying here.” You said before storming out of the loft. Derek wasted no time chasing after you. Isaac stayed out of your lover's spat. Lucky him.
“Where are you going?” He asked with a hint of anger and annoyance in his voice.
“Stiles should be here soon. Or do you not trust me walking down the stairs to the entrance by myself? Do I need a big strong man to walk me to my brother's car too?” You said, not bothering to turn around.
“Y/N! Listen to yourself…”
“I am Derek. And unlike you I trust that I can take care of myself.” You spat back at him. A part of you knew he was just being a good boyfriend that was concerned about his girlfriend’s well being, but you were too angry at the moment to think logically.
“Don’t come by tonight.” You tried to say angrily. It only came out kind of sad.
Derek stopped in his tracks. Derek stopped by almost every night ever since he stayed over that first night. It was nice, for the both of you to have someone on those lonely nights. It had become a kind of routine for you both. Comfort when you both needed it.
You didn’t turn around to see his reaction. You pushed open the front door of the building, just in time to see the blue Jeep pull up. You quickly wiped the tears from your eyes and faked a smile.
“How was the party?” You asked as you quickly jumped in.
Stiles sighed in annoyance. “Don’t want to talk about it.” He said.
Bummer. Looks like we both had a rough night.
“Hey, let's stop by the movie rental place and grab a movie and some snacks?” You asked, placing a hand on his shoulder. Stiles looked down at you and his eyes softened. It had been a while since you two spent some time together. Well some time together that didn’t involve a supernatural being. He kind of missed it. Though he would never outright tell you.
“Only if I get to pick the movie.”
You laughed. “Okay fine. But I get to pick the snacks!”
“Deal!” He said loudly and started making his way to the movie store.
*****
After watching Stiles’ horrible not so scary movie and eating your weight in ice cream and chips, you two said your goodnights, and went to bed. You kept looking at your window, part of you expecting Derek to still show up tonight. You watched the time go by in silence, sleep never catching you once.
1 AM became 2. 2 became 3. You sighed in annoyance when the clock finally hit 3:30. You don’t know what you were expecting. You told him not to come. Why would he come? You were the one who wanted to prove you were capable of taking care of yourself anyways. You didn’t need him to hold you to sleep. You have been sleeping by yourself for years now.
You finally turned off your desk lamp and plopped your head onto your pillow. Sleep didn’t come easy that night. But you finally gave in eventually.
What you didn’t know was that there was a certain someone waiting in the woods that night. Derek sat himself against one of the large trees near your neighbors yard and waited until your night turned off before sulking off back to his loft. He wanted to apologize, but he was afraid of what you would do if he showed up when you specifically asked him not to. He knew how you were sometimes. You just needed some time to cool off.
You didn’t wake up to a good morning text that morning.
You laid in bed a little longer than usual. Stiles had to knock on your door to ask if you were ready before you pushed yourself off of your bed. Part of you just wanted to skip school and go straight to Derek’s loft and apologize. He was right to some degree. You weren’t going to give up and stay at his loft all day. But you did need to stop sneaking out at night and away from the pack.
School went by in a blur. Stiles and Scott could tell there was something off about you. You hadn’t said a word all day and wasn’t actually glued to your phone for once.
“Everything okay?” Scott asked. Scott was one of the ones who knew about you and Derek. It was really hard to hide the fact that you always smelled like him. He had his suspicions, and confirmed his suspicions when he walked in on you kissing Derek the night you two rescued him from Kate.
“It’s nothing. Derek and I had a fight last night.” Stiles ran off to the library to do some research on something. It was just you and Isaac so it was a safe place for you and Scott to talk about Derek.
“Just so you know, Derek wasn’t all too happy this morning either Y/N.”
You just sank into your chair further. You shouldn’t have said what you said last night.
“Scott, I found it!” Stiles screamed, jumping onto the back of you and Scott. Clearly not sensing the mood around him. “Oh and Y/N, can you hitch a ride with Lydia after school today? I have to stay late today for detention.”
“Ugh Stiles. What did you do this time?”
“I had to borrow some books from a certain teacher’s collection. It happened to be locked in his desk and someone happened to catch me. But I found the info we need!”
Great. You thought to yourself. You knew Lydia didn’t drive today and that she had a date with Jackson after school.
“I can take you.” Isaac offered. You smiled. You loved Isaac. He was the closest thing to Derek you had right now.
After school Isaac and Scott walked with you to the parking lot. You were too distracted all day to realize Isaac didn’t have a car. Before you could say anything, you saw a very familiar black Camero sitting in the back of the parking lot. You looked up and glared at Isaac, fully aware of his scheme now.
“I can’t stand it when you and Derek fight. I have to deal with his moody self at home, and then your moody self at school. It’s too much brooding for me.”
You tried to turn around in the other direction, but Isaac quickly grabbed your shoulder before you could turn.
“Common. He’s just giving us a lift home.” He said pushing you forward. Scott opened the door for you and you stepped in, avoiding eye contact with Derek. You could feel his eyes on you though.
“Hey Isaac don’t we have that history project we need to work on?” Scott said suddenly.
“Oh I forgot about that! You go along first Y/N. Stiles can take me home when he's done with detention.” He said quickly, closing the door behind you. You huffed in annoyance and crossed your arms around your chest, frowning through the window. You tried your best to glare at the two boys walking away from the car, but to no avail.
“Y/N.” Derek said sadly.
You didn’t look at him, you crossed your arms tighter and turned away. You were still angry at the boys for tricking you.
“Y/N, i'm sorry. I-I shouldn’t have suggested that you couldn’t take care of yourself. Hell the one of the reasons I fell in love with you was because of the way you were able to handle yourself with those hunters that night. I know you’re strong enough to protect yourself. But I just.. Don’t want anything to happen to you because of me.” He said sadly.
You slowly looked in his direction. His hands were slumped to his side, and he held his head down. You noticed some dark bags under his eyes. You didn’t even know werewolves could get bags under their eyes. He looked like he hadn’t slept a wink last night. You were starting to feel guilty.
“I don’t know what I would do if something happened to you.” He said in a whisper.
Derek couldn’t look up at you. He felt so guilty. Everything he said last night was just his strange way of wanting to keep you safe. He didn’t sleep at all. He kept trying to think of ways to apologize to you. Thank god Isaac texted him when he did. He wasted no time getting here.
“Der.” You said, quietly.
Derek looked up at you with his big puppy dog eyes. You smiled at him and placed your hand on his thigh. He took your hand in his.
“I’m not going anywhere.” You said giving his hand a light squeeze. “You need to trust me though. I'm not just some stupid high schooler who goes looking for trouble.”
Derek raised his eyebrows at that one.
“Okay I am. But you also have to trust that I know what I’m doing and that I have a circle that is capable of keeping me safe. Let’s also not forget that my dad is the sheriff of the town and he made me take at least 50 self defense classes when I was little.” You said with a smirk.
“Okay fine. But only because I know Isaac, Erica, and Boyd are always with you. When I’m not around.”
“What about Stiles and Scott?”
Derek laughed. You chuckled too after realizing what you said. You leaned back into your chair and relaxed, never letting go of his hand.
“Let’s say we go home yeah? Well, your home. My dad might shoot you on sight if you show up at our place during the day.”
Derek laughed and quickly drove you two back to his place.
Later that night, Isaac walked in on you two cuddling and laughing on Derek’s couch. You gave him a thankful smile when he walked past you two.
He walked away smiling as well. It was always good to see papa and mama wolf in a good mood.

Derek hale x Sister!reader - my sister
Tumblr media
Hi so this is the request I try to send you before through the inbox. I wanted to know if you could write a Derek Hale x big sister reader where the reader is very very protective like almost overprotective of him ( he could be her anchor )and I wanted to see how the whole pack would react to that because everyone know that Derek can take care of himself and also that he's very strong, they don't really understand why the reader is so protective over him and then someone explain why she so protectives over him ( it could be Chris, Peter, Noah or even Deaton) and that since the fire it got a little bit more worse. Please, I love how you write the siblings bond that I read on your blog. Sorry it's very long - @bakakara666💜
Looking at your little brother come limping into the loft, you pointed to the couch and he sat down, watching as you wondered away.
Everyone else filed in behind Derek, Scott a little injured but nowhere near as bad as Derek was, and they watched as you came back over.
You dragged the coffee table over and sat in front of Derek, taking his arm in yours as you wordlessly tended to his wounds.
“Doesn’t he know how to do that himself…?” Stiles whispered.
“Of course he does idiot.” Peter hissed.
Peter looked at you carefully tending to your brothers wounds and he sighed softly.
“Then why is (Y/N) doing it?” Lydia asked.
You glared at them all, and Peter ushered the into a different part of the loft while you carried on helping your brother.
“What happened?” You asked.
“Hunters, nothing serious don’t worry.”
You nodded your head very slowly, and began to clean the wounds on his other arm.
“How’s your side?” You asked.
“Healing, it should be mostly healed now.” He said.
You nodded again.
Derek looked down at you, your tired eyes focusing carefully on what you were doing and he sighed a little bit.
“You don’t have to do this.” He said.
“Yes I do.”
Derek reached up, grabbing your wrist in his hand and stopped you, forcing you to turn your attention up to him.
“You don’t. It’ll heal.”
“I have to do this Derek.”
You both stared at one another for a few moments before he slowly let go of your wrist, letting you go back to looking after him.
“Are they still alive?”
“It doesn’t matter.”
You tossed everything into a bag and set it aside, standing up, you began to walk towards the door.
“(Y/N) don’t!”
Everyone else came out of the room to see you standing in front of the doors to the loft, yellow eyes fixated on the door.
“(Y/N).” Peter warned.
You glared at him.
“Leave it, they’re not worth it.” Derek said.
You slowly turned around, your yellow eyes staring into his blue ones.
“They hurt you. That’s all the do. Hurt.” You growled.
“And we handled it they’re not coming back. It’s fine.”
Derek walked over and he placed his hand on your shoulder.
“Don’t do it…” he whispered.
Gazing at your brother, you sighed, letting your eyes return to normal as you nodded and walked away to properly clean up.
Derek sighed heavily as he looked at you.
“What would she have done…?” Alison whispered.
“She would’ve ripped every hunter she came across to bits without thinking twice about it.” Derek said.
“So she’s dangerous? Great!” Stiles scoffed.
Derek turned around, grabbing stiles by the shirt and pulled him of his feet a little bit while everyone called for him to stop.
“My sister is not dangerous.” Derek growled.
He dropped stiles, shoving him back a few steps.
“Don’t ever call her that again.”
With that, Derek stormed away and when you noticed you went after him, calling his name.
Stile turned to Peter.
“What the hell is his problem?” Stiles asked.
Peter glared at Stiles.
“He doesn’t have a problem you called his sister, by niece, dangerous of course he’s going to be pissed.”
“Why is (Y/N) so protective of Derek?” Lydia asked.
Peter glanced towards the stairs then gestured to the couch, so everyone went to sit down and he stood in front of them all, arms crossed over his chest.
Upstairs you were sat with Derek, your hand in his as you both just sat silently.
“She’s always been protective of him. Older than him by 5 years, (Y/N) always felt the need to look after Derek. If he fell, she was there, scared, upset, angry she was right there for it all.”
Peter sat down on the table like you did.
“They were incredibly close. After the fire she became more protective, she had lost everyone aside from him.”
Peter glanced to the stairs again before looking at them.
“Derek is protective of her, sure. But she would bring this whole town to its knees if she had to just to keep him safe. (Y/N) can’t loose anymore of her family, it would tear her apart.”
Everyone nodded their heads.
“That’s why she was going to go find those hunters, right?” Scott asked.
“Exactly, she’d have killed them if Derek hadn’t stopped her. He’s the only one who can keep her temper in check, so remember that when you’re trying to get him arrested again.”
You stood up, placing your hand on Derek’s shoulder as you turned around to look at him.
“You’re okay, right?” You asked.
“I’m fine, I promise. Don’t worry about it’s nothing.”
You nodded your head a little and walked over to the window to look outside.
“Next time I’m coming with you.”
Derek glanced at you and said nothing about it because he knew he wasn’t going to be able to stop you.
If you wanted to go you would, and he knew there was absolutely no way that he could stop you from doing it, all he could do was stop you from trying to kill anyone who hurt him

hi!!! can i ask for prompt 4?? love u 💞💞
''stop looking at me like that''
summary ❥: when you catch feelings for derek, you distance yourself in hopes that he will leave you alone so you can get over this crush. he does no such thing.
“do you want to come back to the loft after this?” he asks me, hope in his eyes that i might say yes. my heart screams yes, my head says no. i gulp, turning my face away from him as i say, “i’m sorry, i have a lot of studying to do” i reply, trying to act unbothered and natural. his eyes drop down to the table as he nods, “okay” with a lace of sadness in his voice.
my heart breaks, wanting nothing more than to go back to the loft and have one of our weekly movie nights. derek and i have been really close for over a year now, i called him my best friend. everything was perfect, he was perfect. he still is perfect. but that’s the problem. i had to be so stupid, and catch some stupidly strong feelings for him. knowing he only sees me as his best friend, i have to keep away from him to be able to get over these feelings.
just when i think i’m making progress, i see him again and all of those feelings flood back. so the thought of spending time alone with him freaks me out, knowing my feelings will only get stronger and stronger for him. i may even be in love with him. no. i can’t say that, it’s just a crush. it will go away.
focusing my attention back onto scott, i can feel dereks stare on my back. i take a deep breath, ignoring that feeling and ignoring his gaze. any normal person would just confess their feelings, and if they don’t feel the same way back, they get over it. but i can’t do that, because i won’t be able to even be in the same room as him if he rejects me.
scott finishes up his inspirational speech, meaning everyone started to pile out of the animal clinic. i start the small walk to my car, feeling somebody behind me. i turn my head quickly, looking at my follower.
of course. derek.
“you okay?” i say, fiddling with my thumbs.
“why do you all of a sudden not want to spend time with me? did i do something?” he spits out, a stressed look on his face. i cross my arms to protect myself, “you didn’t do anything. i’m just busy” i lied. well half lied. it’s not his fault i have these feelings. well maybe it is, because he’s too charming for his own good.
“do you forget that i can tell when you’re lying? we’ve been best friends for years, i don’t need supernatural hearing to know when you’re lying” he states, stepping closer to me.
i step back. “just leave me alone, derek. i’m fine” i say quickly, turning around and rushing to my car with tears welling up in my eyes. locking the doors, i sit in my car and cover my face. sniffling, i wipe my eyes and start the engine. driving past, derek eyes are on mine from his car, his brows furrowed and his eyes soft. he never liked when i cried, so i forced him a smile and sped off to my house.
❥❥❥❥❥❥❥
i place my laptop beside me on the bed, with a sigh. when i told derek i was studying, i wasn’t lying. i just finished up a 3 hour studying session and my head is throbbing. i turned up the volume on my tv, playing ‘friends’ my all time favourite comfort show.
i’ve never felt more empty than i do tonight. knowing that i could be with derek at his loft, in my happy, safe place. but instead i’m here, wallowing in my own feelings and misery. i’ve never felt this way about someone, ever. knowing i am going to lose him either way is more painful than i could’ve imagined.
i was brought out of my thoughts from a knock on my window. i furrowed my eyebrows, turning my head over to look outside. and there he is. propped up on the roof outside, tapping on my window as i slowly walked over. i sigh, opening the window.
“can i come in?” he asks, and my mind says to say no. tell him to leave.
“okay” i say, listening to my heart finally.
he climbs through the window, walking over and sitting on the edge of my bed as i shut the window and curtains again. ‘please talk to me’ he starts, with a pleading look on his face.
my arms fall from their cross over my chest as i let out a defeated sigh. i probably should just do it. i might feel better after admitting them to him.
‘look, i have a reason why i can’t spend time with you anymore. and if i tell you, i don’t even think you’ll want to spend time with me’ i say, with a glance at my feet.
‘you know nothing would ever make that happen for me, beautiful’ he says, clenching my heart.
‘i think it would, which is why i’m afraid to tell you in case the whole friendship gets ruined’ i say shyly, twisting my ring around my finger.
‘either way it’s ruined. if i leave now and we don’t talk about this, it’s ruined. so you might as well just tell me, and who knows, maybe i feel the same’ he says with the slightest smirk on his lips. i narrow my eyes at him, red tinting over my cheeks and nose.
‘what do you mean?’ i say, barely above a whisper.
‘i said,’ he starts, scooting closer to me on the edge of the bed, ‘maybe i feel the same’.
i gulp, suddenly aware of how close our faces are. he looks handsome tonight. he’s in all black, his hair a little messy over his forehead, green eyes a little red from the cold air.
‘stop looking at me like that’ he mumble with a small smile. i blush again.
‘why?’ i say back.
‘because it’s making me want to kiss you’ he admits, a small pink blush covering his cheeks. i made derek hale blush.
‘i wouldn’t stop you’ i manage to gain enough confidence to get that out.
he turns to me more, his hands gripping my hips and pulls me closer to him. his head starts to duck down to me, his pretty eyes fluttering shut. my hands move up to rest on his face, thumbs resting just on his cheekbones and my palms rested on his jawline.
i close the gap between us, lips parting as they touch but closing as they do touch. ohmygod. his lips are like velvet, soft and gentle. one of his hands trails up my back a little to pull me impossibly closer to him. i hum against his lips, hands wrapping around his neck.
my heart is beating faster than ever before. my face feels hot and i feel light headed. i’ve never felt this way with anyone before over a kiss.
he eventually pulls back for some air, resting his warm forehead onto mine as we catch our breath with giddy smiles on our faces.
‘if you couldn’t tell, i like you too’ he grins, pressing a small, chaste kiss to my forehead.
‘how did you know i like you?’ i asked, as his hands move from my wait to grip my own and interlock our fingers. he looks away for a second with a weird look on his face, ‘well i kind of had a talk with lydia’ he admits, side eyeing me as i furrowed my eyebrows.
‘the only reason she told me was because she knew i liked you too. she told me to come over and just do this, aren’t you glad she did?’ he says with a small smile, causing me to nod.
‘of course i’m glad’ i giggle. he pulls me closer again, hands looking behind my back, pressing another small kiss to my lips.
“so, does this mean i can call you my girlfriend?” he smirks. i go red, nodding embarrassingly quickly at him.
“hm. good” he kisses me again.

Tumblr media
Derek wore his fancy jacket, his "this is serious" jacket, his "today you're a gentleman jacket"- how was he to know he'd need more than his jacket and his perfect meet-the-family lines to win over his best friend to let him continue dating his daughter? Dinner was awkward to say the very least, neither your dad nor Derek had acknowledged where they knew each other from before meeting tonight, the night of your birthday dinner, but it was clear there was history there and no one was going to say something first so no one was yet to say anything at all.
Your dad was slicing at his steak in a way that made the whole act seem a little personal, his eyes on Derek's every move as the werewolf tried not to react to you slipping your hand onto his knee like you always did, it was one of his favorite little gestures which is why you were a little surprised when he didn't slip his hand onto yours right away, taking a big gulp from his wine glass in the process
"You two are pretty cozy," your dad noted and you were grateful for Allison's presence next to you to share in a questioning stare because does no one remember you coming home from at least a hundred dates talking about just how amazing Derek was? "What's it been like a week or two?"
"Dad, we've been dating for a few months now," you breathed, not even thinking as you scooped the crunchy carrots from your plate into Derek's, smiling your usual sweet smile and silently asking him to get rid of them for you. "I'd say it would be a little weird if we weren't cozy," you scoffed, thumb brushing over Derek's as you leaned into his side, extremely confused when it made him take in a loud breath of air. You didn't want it to be too obvious when you gave him a little look to ask what was wrong, but it wouldn't have mattered because the man wasn't even looking at you to begin with.
"So, Derek, have you two thought any more about moving in together?" Allison had no idea the terror her question would cause both Derek and your dad looking at her with complete horror as she took another bite of the bread Derek made. "What?" you were curious too, finally being able to meet your boyfriend's gaze and having no idea why he would be so surprised by the question when you talked about it just the previous day.
"Are you okay?" Your question was quiet really, only for his ears but it drew your dad's attention still, the echo of his knife hitting the plate enough to steal your focus. "Are you okay?" you reprised your question to the man opposite of you.
"You're dating my daughter," he wasn't looking at you, eyes burning right into the side of Derek's head before he snapped to meet his gaze, explanation already on his tongue. "You're dating my daughter," he repeated and boy were you lost but by the looks of it you'd be caught up real soon. "You want to move in with my daughter? You?" he had stood up now, plate clinking against the table in the process, glass almost tipping were it not for Derek being fast enough to catch it. "The man who taught me the best way to get a woman to sleep with me wants to move in with my daughter?" Allison swallowed a gasp. You weren't sure who to question first but your dad was moving before you had time to think it through.
"Dad!" you didn't even hesitate before jumping up and moving in front of Derek, stopping the man with your hands firmly on his chest and your face blocking his gaze before he could get close enough to Derek's chair. "Let's take a breath."
"Look, Chris, I can explain."
"Maybe not this second, babe," your tongue slipped, you didn't even realize you'd thrown the petname in there but your dad sure did and it did little to aid your case, even less when Derek stood up behind you, hand falling to your waist out of pure habit as you pushed back a little to stop your dad from moving. "You're the guy he's been playing wingman to?" a little angered nod was all you got in reply. ''And, Der, you're the floozy playboy that's been giving him dating advice?" You couldn't hide your amusement even if you tried your hardest.
"Yes, but this was before I met you and heaven knows not even my best tips worked on her so trust me when I say, Chris, this is different," With his voice back he was brave, very smooth when he took hold of your elbow and guided you behind him. "Look if you want to punch me then I'll give you one free shot but then best believe I'm taking a shot of my own, old man."
"Don't tempt me," your dad was less brave now, narrowed eyes shifting between you and his so-called friend with enough disapproval to write a novel but all he offered was a grunt of defeat. "It goes without saying that I do not even slightly approve of this."
"I don't blame you," your hands gripped his biceps as Derek spoke, you gave a little squeeze to his arms before you peeked your head over his shoulder. "You need time, I get it, we need to talk things out but eventually you'll see that this is different."
"Very," you noted, chin on his shoulder as you nodded, and were it another time anyone would be able to recognize just how cute the gesture was. "He talks a big game, Dad, but he's actually a big uncool softie," you teased and you were happy when Derek smiled, even happier when your dad gave a soft scoff.
"Careful, now," Derek warned and it was entirely not his intent to rub anything in Chris' face but he couldn't even stop himself from pulling you around and into his side, smiling lightly as you looked up at him. "I have a reputation to protect."
"Oh, mister womanizer, how could I forget?" you laughed and stole a glance over the table to where Allison was starting to clean up the dirty dishes. "Why don't you take your brooding self over to the kitchen to help my sister with the dishes and I'll try and convince my dad not to try and murder you again before dessert, " you had no doubt the idea was still very much lingering in his head.
"Yes ma'am," and Chris had to be blind not to notice just how happy you were, just how alarmingly different the little moment between you was to anything he'd seen from Derek before but it would take a hell of a lot more to convince him not to take him out in his sleep.
"So, you had any luck with his advice yet?" It was far too soon to joke about it but you'd not be his daughter if you didn't at least try.
"I need a drink."

can you keep a secret? | derek hale x reader
Summary: you're very stubborn, but Derek is willing to get you to listen. even if it takes all night long.
Warning: friends w/ benefits on the low, smut, some dom/sub play, fingering, lots of teasing
Word Count: 2k
Tumblr media
You attempted to rub the sleep from your eyes while staring at the screen in front of you. You glanced at the time at the top of the screen and sighed. 12:32am. You had been working some assignments since your shower after you had got home.
With finals just around the corner, you was tried not to pay much attention to the time. You just wanted to get some last assignments out of the way so you had plenty of time to study.
You hummed along to the song playing through the speakers while typing away on the keyboard.
Just this last bit... andddd done.
After quickly saving your progress, you exited out of everything before closing the screen of your laptop. Tomorrow you would go back and proofread when you were well rested. You got up from the bed, glancing at the open window as you passed it to put your laptop back on the desk.
Where might he be? By now you figured Derek would be here, but in all honesty, you never really knew when to expected him. He usually knew where you were, but you couldn't say the same for him. Derek Hale was the guy everyone told you stand clear of. He had always been a little odd, but you had also been a little curious. Though moments like these made you realize some truth to what they were saying, it never mattered once he was around.
You checked your phone on the charge, but there was nothing. No messages. You thought about messaging, but quickly ruled against it. You didn't want to bug him. Besides, you weren't together. You were just seeing each other. Or maybe fuck buddies was a better term to describe your situation, but you struggled to come to terms of just using Derek for just his body. There was more to it than either of you wanted to admit.
Regardless of what you two were, you didn't want to be a pest.
You return your phone back on the nightstand before shutting the window. It didn't stop you from wondering if he was okay. If he didn't leave a message by morning, you would check on him.
Sleep now, worry later.
You fiddled with the lock for moment. You were at war with yourself on locking it just in case he did show up. You knew when he did show up, he would scowled you for leaving it unlocked.
You could hear him now.
Do you have any idea how many creeps are out there?
You smiled a bit. Probably quite a few, but there was only one who knew your window would always be unlocked. You were prepared to argue it.
You settled back in bed pulling the covers over yourself again. You bunched up a handful of the oversized t-shirt you were wearing and brought it over your nose to take in the scent. Maybe you had gone a bit too far wearing it or maybe he should have been more careful where he left his things. Either way, finders keepers. You laid underneath the blankets comfortably surrounded in his warm scent, letting sleep slowly claim you.
It was only a few hours later Derek was right outside your window. He knew he was late, but something had came up. He thought about just messaging, but something had told him to at least try. That something being his own need to see you. After some time apart, he had to admit he missed you.
He expected the window to be locked and for you to already be in bed. Given the time, he wouldn't be surprised. What might have seemed like a wasted trip to other was assurance to him. He pushed up on the window, stopping for a moment when the window moved underneath his hands. Maybe you were awake after all. Now he didn't know what to expect, but nonetheless he kept quiet to keep from waking your roommate.
Derek raised the window up enough to slide into your bedroom before he noticed you sound fast asleep underneath the covers. He couldn't get over how angelic you looked simply sleeping.
He stripped himself from his white t-shirt before he crawled into the bed beside you. His strong arms looped around your waist underneath the covers to pull you back against him. Your body just seemed to fit perfectly with his.
His nose nuzzled against your hair to bury his face further into your neck. You always smelled so good. It was one of his favorite things about you.
You hummed. "You're late."
He smiled almost instantly. "You didn't listen."
"What's new?" You rubbed your hand over his arm, rolling on your back to face him.
His smile widened when his eyes met yours before your shirt grabbed his attention. It wasn't just any shirt, no, it was his.
"This is new." The corner of his lips curled into a smirk. "Are you wearing my shirt?"
Your cheeks blushed a deep shade of red. You had completely forgot you had even put it on.
"This old thing?" You tried to play off your embarassment, snuggling up underneath the baggy shirt playfully. You might die inside if he hadn't been amused, but considering the smirk on his lips, he must have been enjoying the sight.
He rolled his eyes. As cute as you looked in it, there was just something about the way you looked in one of his shirt. How could such an innocent act turn him on so much?
"It looks better on you."
"I'm glad you like it." You rolled back over on the bed to turn your back to him again, quickly pressing your lips together to contain your giggles when you felt his bulge against your back. It amazed you how easily you could turn him on. "I'm not wearing any underwear. Thought you'd like to know."
"Yeah?" Derek raises an eyebrow at your words. There was nothing innocent about you. "I'll just have to see for myself."
You glanced over your shoulder at him innocently.
A gasp left your lips when you felt his fingers prying your thighs apart to slide his hand in-between. He quickly found out just how true your words were.
"You naughty girl. Is this your way of apologizing?" He teased, referring back to the window.
You sighed in pleasure when you felt two of his fingers gliding through your slick folds. His other hand rubbing over your inner thigh to ensure you kept your legs apart.
"Is it working?" Your voice was quiet.
He hummed, circling his fingers teasingly around your clit before sliding them back down through your folds until they're pushing against your entrance.
"I'll have to think on it."
With that he pushed his fingers inside of you, pushing them in and out of your already soaked hole. He always amazed how him how wet you got. He had hardly touched you and here you were already in a pool of your own arouse. Had you been thinking about him? Had you been thinking about this just as much as him?
His lips pressed warm kiss over your neck. His free hand pushing up and underneath the shirt you were wearing to rub over your breasts, fiddling with your nipples between his fingers.
You gasped in pleasure. As gentle as he was, his hands were callused just enough to make even the gentlest touches make you ache.
You could feel his juices sloshing as his fingers dripped in and out of your pussy swiftly, curling them inside of you while he cupped your mound. Curling them just enough to hit that spot. Derek knew your body so well.
A moan slipped from your lips before you could stop it.
Derek shushed you with a kiss though his thick fingers still worked you close to where you needed. "Don't wanna wake your roommate do you?"
You quickly shook your head. That was the last thing you wanted when you were so close already.
"You wanna cum, don't you greedy girl?"
God, did you. You nodded your head, feeling his fingers sliding in and out of your soppy cunt quicker. You pushed your lips together tight to keep from letting another moan slip. He knew exactly what he was doing. It was only a matter of time before you would come undone, until you would crumble. Only the thing was, Derek wouldn't let that happen. Not just yet. Not when you wanted, but when he thought you were good and ready.
"Derek.. no-" You whined when his fingers slid out of you. Your head rolled back against his shoulder in defeat as you tried to push down on his fingers again but he only pulled them again. "Please.."
His fingers closed in on your cheeks, squishing them together as he forced you to look at him. "I asked you a question, Y/n."
Your eyes fluttered up at him, managing to nod your head even through his grip. "I wanna cum, Derek. Please." You pleaded, trying to keep quiet despite how desperate you were.
His fingers stroked over your lips and grinning at your answer. For you, he would do anything.
His fingers rubbed lazily at your clit as he pushed down his sweatpants and boxers to free his erection. He rubbed the aching tip through your folds to coat his length with your juices before sliding right inside.
"You wanna cum? You can cum on my cock."
Derek watched you with a sigh in pleasure as your body arches into him. His hand gripping onto your ass when you pushed it further into his pelvis to take him in deeper. After giving you little to no time to adjust before he was thrusting his hips into yours.
The things this man did to you. How were you supposed to stop when he was this addicting? You couldn't. You were entirely at his mercy.
Using his free hand, he pushed his fingers into your mouth to keep you quiet. The only sounds filling the room being your muffled cries and the slap of his hips hit against yours eager to make you fall apart on his cock.
His eyes never parted from you as your tongue slide desperately over his warm fingers, sucking and moaning around them. As if his eyes couldn't get any darker, you felt like they were.
"I can't think of anything prettier." He mumbled against your ear. "Probably not even a thought in your head." He smirked when he realized how right he was.
Your smaller hands gripped onto his wrist, muffling your cries on his fingers. Not a single thought. You just wanted to make him proud. Derek worked at your clit with his other hand as your thighs shook around his hand.
Your eyes watered from the intensity of your orgasm. Any part left of you crumbling until you were nothing but a quivering mess leaking down him.
"That's it, baby. Fuck, you're making such a mess." His fingers smeared your juices when you came down from your high before bringing his fingers to his lips to suck his fingers clean of your juices. He slowly pulled his fingers from your mouth
He hummed around his fingers while he cleaned them, meeting your eyes when he noticed you watching
"So is all forgiven now?" You teased, unable to fight the giggle slipping from your lips.
"I'm not too sure about that." He answered.
Derek moved lowering himself between your legs and spreading them around his head as his teeth nibbled at your inner thighs. Your breath catching in your throat at the sight of him. Even if this wasn't the first time, you didn't think you could ever get used to this.
"I think I'm gonna need some convincing."
Your head rolled back against the pillow to fight a moan. You knew you were in for it. He was going to be the death of you.

Loves Antidote - Derek Hale x Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: You were affected more than the others in the crypt during the events of ‘Weaponised’
Words: 1.2k
Warnings: None
Y/N’s POV
I can hear Scott moving after Kira tells him what Stiles’ muffled voice yells. He’s reaching for the jar and moments later there’s a crash, I’m gasping for air, feeling like I can breathe finally. My vision is returning and my muscles are finally reacting to me but it’s slower than the others who are already up and on their feet, Malia by my side as she has to pull me to my feet while Scott gets the door open.
I’m clinging to her, my legs struggling to move and Stiles is suddenly on my other side, the pair of them helping me regain the strength to stumble forwards with my weight being held by them. They’re leading me down the empty hallways of the high school, towards the exit where I can hear myriads of people talking, yelling and preparing for our exit. I know dad’s gonna be out there, Stiles knows he is too, as he’s the sheriff but I’m resisting as I don’t want him to see me like this. He has enough on his plate.
“Y/N, please, you need help.” Stiles is urging, voice filled with concern. His grip around my ribs tightening, determination shining through his wide and worried eyes as I lull my head in his direction. I can hear Scott and Kira trying to find the others, checking on teachers and students alike while Stiles and Malia want to get me to Melissa who I can hear bustling about outside. I can hear dad too and there’s another voice. It sends my heart pounding and Malia is sending me a concerned look as she can hear how fast my heart is beating.
I try to push the pain aside and focus on that voice, knowing he’s just outside. I want to get to him before I even think about Melissa and getting help. I need him. Together, the three of us stagger through the double doors, the taste of freedom so sweet and the sun temporarily blinds me but I can smell him. Three voices call my name: Dad, Melissa and him. The strange mixture of musk, something slightly spicy like oranges and vanilla fills my senses as my eyes try to adjust to the blinding brightness. My knees are giving in and I’m falling until the pair get a better grip on me.
The sound of pounding feet feel like gunshots in my head but the scent of him coming closer and closer spurs me on, giving me the strength to push Stiles and Malia away. My already aching body collides with solid and strong arms are wrapping around me, the smell of him is almost overwhelming it’s so intoxicating. The cool and smooth leather of his jacket against my skin is a stark contrast to the feverish heat pulsating through my body.
“Derek.” My voice cracks and sounds raw even to my own ears, Derek’s arms tightening protectively around me. The emotions radiating from him prickle my eyes and before I know it I’m burying my face in his shirt, trying to staunch the onslaught of tears.
“Shhhh, it’s okay sweetheart,” Derek’s voice soothes, a gentle balm to my shattered nerves, his words washing over me like a healing salve. His arms providing a haven of safety and comfort as I cling to him like a lifeline, seeking solace in his unwavering presence. His lips pressing against my temple calms me even more, a tender kiss that ignites a flicker of hope within me. I can feel the softness of his touch, the warmth of his breath against my skin, and it’s as if the world narrows down to this single point of connection.
As his hand moves in slow, gentle strokes, shooting down my hair, a sense of tranquility washes over me. It’s as if he’s leaving a sense of calm back into the frayed edges of my being, the tremors in my legs begin to subside and the fog surrounding my mind begins to dissipate. The ache and pain is still there and I still feel weak, like I’m going to collapse if Derek lets me go but I know he won’t, especially when the hand that was on my hair moves to cup my jaw, pad of his thumb gliding across my cheekbone gently, a surge of warmth and reassurance following it.
I’m pushing myself away enough to meet those kaleidoscope eyes, seeing the depth of his concern and care reflected in them. It’s a silent understanding that passes between us, a recognition of the need for me to heal and the inability for my body to do it. And as his thumb continues its soothing motion, I feel that spark of hope ignited within me grow into a flame or two.
Then, as if guided by an unspoken agreement, Derek is drawing me up into a kiss - a gentle and tender meeting of our lips. It’s a moment that transcends words, the kiss a conduit for my healing and I feel it. With each press of our lips, I can feel the ache slowly fading and my legs stand steadier, the weariness that had taken over my body replaced by something else. It’s sweet on my tongue as Derek’s arm around my waist pulls me closer and the one of my cheek tilts my head to deepen the kiss more.
Our breaths mingle, a symphony of shared exhales that carry the weight of something new and something good. It’s in the event meeting of our mouths that I find solace, a sanctuary where healing takes root and blooms. The sensation of his lips moving against mine is electrifying and breathtaking all at once.
Someone is clearing their throat, startling me and pulling me away from Derek, my eyes flickering open to find Dad standing there, a mixture of sternness and amusement playing across his features. While his words carry a reprimand, there’s a twinkle in his eyes that betrays his true feelings. The corners of my lips curling into a sheepish smile, and Derek’s arm remains securely around my waist.
“Okay, okay, I think that’s enough,” Dad asserts, his voice firm but indeed with an undertone of lightheartedness, “Those healing vein things have gone, none of that in front of me thank you.”
I can’t help but let out a small chuckle, feeling a mix of embarrassment and affection for Dad’s protectiveness. With a gentle squeeze of Derek’s hand, I start to disentangle myself from his embrace, though the warmth of his touch still lingers on my skin. Derek lets out a growl deep in his throat when Stiles moves towards me, his cheeks turning a brilliant shade of red as he clears his throat and squeaks out an embarrassed, “Sorry.”
“Derek,” Dad turns his attention to the very embarrassed werewolf, “I want you to take her home and make sure she is okay. You do not leave her side until either Jordan or I come home, I want nothing like this to happen again.”
“Yes Sir.”
“Good lad.”

Y/N wasn’t sure what was more shocking. The fact that he and Derek still went clubbing at the Jungle, a gay club in Beacon Hills. Or the fact that they caught Eli in the same club. Y/N was busy sucking on Derek’s neck, literally. His fangs were out and his eyes were bloodshot red with black veins as Derek’s were an icy blue. They were moaning and dancing against each other, rubbing erections together when Y/N noticed there was a guy who looked like Eli. He was kissing this tall blonde, who was muscular and shirtless. It was weird because this guy had the same hair, same clothes, same—oh shit! It was Eli!
Eli pulled away from the guy and gave him a teasing smirk. He turned his head and Y/N locked eyes with Eli’s brown ones and he pulled away from Derek’s neck as Eli panicked against the blonde guy. “Derek? Derek! It’s Eli.”
“What?” Derek turned and saw that it was indeed their son who was trying to make himself small in the crowd as Derek followed after him.

Tumblr media
Word Count: 3.5K
Story Description: (Y/N) Argent arrived at Beacon Hills to put to rest her father’s sister, Kate Argent. For the first time, her family has decided to settle down and sustain a life in this interesting small town. After 17 years, (Y/N) has the opportunity to establish interpersonal relationships but will she be ready to face the complications that come with relating to her cousin’s, Allison, friends; especially, the infamous Derek Hale. She will face the adventure of being associated with the Derek and McCall pack, as well as being faced with the discovery of certain aspects of her life she never imagined.
A/N: uh oh, things are changing...

There was a tense air between (Y/N) and Derek as they reached her house. He helped her off the bike and kept his hand on her lower back as they walked to her front porch but did not say a single word. His stare was a million miles away, and she could tell his thoughts had been running rampant in his head.
“Are you okay, Derek?” the girl finally broke the silence as she slid her key into the door. “You feel weird. Like, distant.”
“I’m fine,” he said, his stoic façade still plastered on his face. “I just need to make sure you’re home safe before I get my pack.”
“They’re fine. They’re hiding up in my room.” She pulled out her phone from her pocket and showed him Isaac’s text confirming that they had locked themselves in her house. “But I need to know what you’re hiding right now because I know something’s up.”
“Everything’s fine,” he huffed. “Why are they here?”
“I thought they’d be safe here,” she responded. “Don’t change the topic, Derek. You know you can’t lie to me.”
“I just… we gotta stay away from each other for a while, okay? Believe me when I say, it’s for the best.”
The answer took (Y/N) aback. She stepped away from his touch, as though suddenly it burned her. His words had seemingly come out of nowhere. They were in a good spot, she thought. They weren’t exactly in a relationship, but they weren’t not in one either. They had been speaking consistently for the past couple of weeks, they had seen each other when they could, and they had kissed. God, did they kiss. “I-I-I don’t understand,” she stammered as she blinked away her confusion. “I thought we were good. I mean, I know our situation isn’t exactly ideal, but I didn’t think it was going bad.”
“It’s just not the time to deal with feelings, (Y/N),” he sighed. “I have to focus on how to get rid of the Kanima and why Scott would betray us. I simply don’t have the bandwidth to focus on you too.”
“Oh, I didn’t know I was such a distraction,” (Y/N) scoffed, putting another step of distance between them. “You know, it was only a few weeks ago that you were saying you wanted this to work. No matter how long it took or what hurdles we had to go through. You said I wouldn’t have to go through life alone, not while you were here. Was that all just bullshit?”
“It wasn’t… It isn’t…” He ran his hands across his face in frustration, letting out an infuriated groan. “With everything that’s going on, I can’t risk being close to you, (Y/N). The more time that passes with the Kanima here, the more hunters will arrive. Especially now that I have a target on my back, thanks to your cousin. Being with you only makes that target bigger, and it puts it on my pack too. I have to make the right decision for them.”
“So, everything I’ve done to help you guys out means nothing?” she cried, biting down the tears that threatened to spill. “I’ve stuck my neck out for you on more than one occasion. I think I’ve proven to be an asset to you and your pack when it comes to my family.”
“You have and I’m grateful,” he said. Derek took a beat before continuing. It seemed he knew the next words out of his mouth would drive a wedge between them that he wasn’t sure would ever be removed. “I just don’t know if one day you’ll turn on us like Allison has done to Scott, or even like Kate did to me.”
If there was anything he could say that would drive (Y/N) away, it was that. Her fears of one day becoming like her aunt still haunted her to that day. It was a quiet but haunting rumble in the pits of her mind, fed by her insecurities and her fears, and very much alive.
“A-are you serious?” (Y/N) wanted to appear confident and confrontational. But she couldn’t help the way her voice broke. “Do you really think I’d be capable of doing something like that?”
“I can’t be sure, (Y/N). I want to believe that you won’t and that you and your father are truly on our side, but I have to take precautions. It’s not just my life that’s at stake.”
(Y/N) didn’t know if his words stung more than the unchanging expression on his face. There was no care, no compassion. She wasn’t talking to Derek, her sour wolf. She was speaking to Derek, the alpha. “What brought this on, Derek?” she asked. “What made you change your mind all of a sudden?”
“It wasn’t anything specifically. It’s just… the situation we’re in is basically unheard of, and I need to make sure that I’m putting a hundred percent of my brain into resolving this,” he said. “And if Scott isn’t going to help, then I have to find a way to end this once and for all. I can’t be worrying about the hunters coming from your side too.”
Words died in the girl’s mouth as she tried to conceal the hurt that coursed through her veins. It was a betrayal like no other. “Is that really how you feel?” (Y/N) asked, her resolve quickly coming undone. “You once told me that you knew that I would never be like Kate. That there was no way I could be that heartless. Does that mean you lied? Have you always felt this way?”
And with determination like she had never seen from him, he said, “Yes.” By then, she couldn’t hold back the tears, but she wouldn’t let him see her hurt. She couldn’t keep the drops from falling, but she could keep her sobs inside. “(Y/N)…”
“Go,” she said sternly, facing her door and giving him her back.
“(Y/N), I…”
“I said go, Derek,” she restated, raising her voice. “You can call your pack after. But you need to get out of here right now.”
Before he could say another word, (Y/N) slipped into her house and locked the door behind her. Shuddering cries threatened to break through, so she clasped her fist into her mouth and bit down. She did not want him to hear her. He’d been able to shatter her heart with a few words, but he did not deserve to know her pain. Not anymore.
As the tears fell, she remembered the cuts on her face. Every time another drop fell, it sank into the open wound, mixing blood and salty water down her cheeks. The sting was enough to subside the pain in her chest, but not enough to make it go away. And all she wanted was for it to go away.
Suddenly, soft steps on her stairs forced her head to snap forward to see a witness to her despair. Erica wore a sympathetic smile on her face, something that surprised (Y/N) out of her tears. It had been the first time she had even held a kind gaze toward the girl, always throwing sarcastic comments or unnecessary jabs her way. But at that moment, she came to her as a friend.
“Let’s fix up that face,” she said. “Where’s the first aid kit?”
“Uh, um,” (Y/N) cleared her throat. “There’s one under the kitchen sink.”
“Let’s go.”
The blonde helped her up from the ground and followed her quietly into the kitchen. She didn’t throw snarky remarks her way or make fun of the way her face was most likely a disaster. All she did was remain silent and try to help.
Once the first aid bag was on the counter, Erica patted a stool to instruct the girl to sit. Something she very much obliged to before the werewolf set to work. She put on a pair of black gloves and set to clean the wound with cleansing wipes, clearing away any debris or tear that might have mixed with her blood.
“This is gonna sting a bit, okay?” Erica announced as she uncapped the liquid stitch bottle. “Do you need something to bite down on?”
“No,” (Y/N) smiled softly. “Go ahead.”
The girl winced softly as the liquid touched her skin, but it was quickly replaced with the comfort of Erica’s soft hands pinching the slash closed. She repeated the step two more times before cleaning the area once more and covering it with a gauze bandage. “There,” Erica said as she finished bandaging her arm as well. “The wound should breathe during the night to help with the healing. Try to keep it dry or without direct water contact for about five days, and you should be good.”
“Thanks,” she said. “You’re good at this.”
“I’ve had one too many falls not to be,” the girl chuckled as she put away the kit. “It’s actually the reason I’ve always wanted to become a doctor. I wanted to make sure no one else went through what I did.”
“Why can’t you?”
“At first it was because I was so behind in school, I’d never get the grades to get into a good school,” she shrugged. “Now, with the whole werewolf thing, I don’t think I could.”
“Why not? I think now it’ll be so much easier for you,” (Y/N) offered. “Now, you don’t have to deal with the seizures, and you can focus on your schoolwork. Later on, I’m sure any school would be begging to have you go there.”
“I don’t know,” the blonde sighed. “I guess, after seeing everything I have and going through what we have in such little time, I think med school seems stupid in the grand scheme of things. I would love to live a normal life, but I don’t think I was ever meant to. I mean, at first, it was epilepsy. Now, it’s the fact that I’m part wolf, part human, and I have yet to get that under control.”
Seeing Erica be vulnerable and sweet surprised (Y/N), and it was a welcome distraction to whatever it had been that had gone down with Derek. “You know this is going to end someday,” she tried to comfort her. “We’re gonna beat the Kanima, and the hunters will go back to their own lives. Life won’t always be like this.”
“How can you be so sure? Something tells me there’s always gonna be something in this town,” she chuckled dryly. “The only way to go back to normal is to leave.”
“Is that what you want? To leave Beacon Hills?”
“I mean, it’s a plan,” she shrugged as she sat beside (Y/N). “I didn’t think it would be like this. The constant looking over my shoulder, the fear that I’ll be caught, the fear that I’ll be killed. I wanted the strength, the power that came with being supernatural. But I didn’t really measure the danger that came with it. Unfortunately, not every hunter can be like you.”
“I think that’s the first time you’ve ever complimented me,” (Y/N) chuckled. “Don’t know how I feel about it.”
“Don’t get used to it,” the girl grinned. “But seriously, you have no reason to protect us like you have. I mean, apparently, even lovesick Allison turned on lover boy.”
“Yeah, grief makes you do unthinkable things,” she sighed. “Especially when you have a monster like Gerard whispering in your ear.”
“And he doesn’t whisper in yours?”
“God no. I don’t think he particularly likes my family. At least my dad and I.”
“Ooh, family drama?”
“None that I know the details of, but I know it has something to do with me and some woman from my dad’s past,” (Y/N) explained, remembering the not-so-hushed words from her parents. “Also, my dad sort of sides with the wolves rather than the hunters. He thinks their methods are too extreme and cause more harm than good. He told me he wants to change the group from the inside out, but it’s hard.”
“And you believe him?” Erica inquired, biting the skin from her fingers. (Y/N) could see she hadn’t noticed yet. It was something she did before turning, a way to calm her senses when everything seemed too much. “Do you really believe he’s on our side?”
“He helped me find Derek tonight, and he covered for me about the rave. I don’t think he would lie to me about that. My mom on the other hand…”
“Can’t stand us?”
“Yup.”
“Well, you can tell her the feeling is mutual.”
“Hey,” (Y/N) exclaimed with a smile. “That’s my mom you’re talking about.”
“No offense,” Erica laughed as she threw her arms up in surrender. “But seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever said this, but thank you, (Y/N). I’ve unnecessarily been a bitch to you, and you don’t deserve that. So, I’m sorry.”
“Am I really getting an apology from Erica Reyes? I think I might be dreaming.”
“Oh, come on,” she chuckled. “I’m trying to be serious here—vulnerable. I am grateful for what you’ve done for me, even when I was horrible to you. You didn’t have to.”
“Well, you got the bitch part down, I didn’t think I needed it, too,” (Y/N) grinned before she took Erica’s hand and smiled warmly. “But it means a lot that you apologized. Thank you. Maybe from here on out, we could be friends. I honestly need more in this town.”
“I think that would be great,” she beamed. “I’ve been needing a dose of estrogen after so many months surrounded by testosterone.”
As the girls laughed, footsteps came down the stairs and quickly joined them in the kitchen, followed by the pitter-patter of claws against the hardwood floor. “Well, look at these two fraternizing,” Isaac told Boyd. “Never thought I’d see the day.”
“I would be rude not to when it’s her house,” Boyd shrugged. “Which, again, thank you for letting us hide out here. We haven’t really received any other instruction from Derek.”
“Yeah, and I don’t think you will anytime soon.”
“What do you…?” Isaac’s words died in his throat as he noticed (Y/N)’s bandages and the smell of iron in the air. He was quick to rush to her side, inspecting her visible skin for any other wound. “What the hell happened?”
“Ah, just a small run-in with Jackson,” she shrugged as she knelt to pet Brody, scratching him on the spot behind his ears he loved so he wouldn’t worry about her. “I’ll be fine. I just don’t heal as fast as you guys do.”
“How serious was the cut?” Isaac asked Erica, knowing (Y/N) would only wave him off. “Was it deep? I knew I should have gone with you to the station.”
“It wasn’t deep enough to need stitches, Isaac. She’ll be fine.”
“Dude, calm down,” Boyd chuckled. “She’s tougher than she looks.”
“Thank you, Boyd,” she smiled toward the boy. “I really appreciate the vote of confidence. You should learn from him, Lahey.”
“Yeah, it’s all fun and games until you get seriously hurt,” he grumbled, crossing his arms across his chest. “I can’t believe I let you go there by yourself. I should have been there.”
“And risk getting caught by my grandfather? Absolutely not,” she reprimanded. “As a matter of fact, all of you need to lay low because while Jackson is still the Kanima, more hunters will keep flooding into town, and I don’t wanna risk any of you getting caught. If you need a place to stay, I think I can talk to my dad and help you guys out. Maybe tell my mom the basement flooded and keep you guys there?”
“Thanks, (Y/N),” Boyd smiled. “We’ll talk to Derek first. See what the next steps will be.”
“Yeah,” she scoffed lightly. “And if you can find out what the hell is going on with him in the meantime, I’d greatly appreciate it.”
The four of them spent the next hour in her kitchen, talking and laughing like normal teenagers until Erica and Boyd said they were too tired to still be awake and headed to (Y/N)’s room. But not before the girl turned and thanked Argent for giving her a night where she felt normal. After that, only Isaac and her were left downstairs.
They had moved into the living room, where (Y/N) rested her head on his lap, and Brody curled up right beside them. Henry had texted her that he and her mother would be staying over at Chris’ house and that he’d keep her posted on anything that would be going down.
“I don’t understand what happened, Isaac,” she sighed as she felt his hands running through her hair. “Everything was going great until just an hour ago. What made Derek change his mind?”
“Honestly, I wish I could tell you,” he said. “But Derek’s not one to really talk about what’s going on in his head. The only time he’s ever been nice to me is when you’re around. He’s quite a dick when you’re not around.”
“But he’s still your alpha.”
“It’s not like there are many options here,” he chuckled. “And I guess I feel a bit indebted to him. If it hadn’t been for the bite, I’m pretty sure I would have ended up in the hospital, or even worse…”
Isaac couldn’t bring himself to say the words, instead taking in a shuddering deep breath. (Y/N) could see his eyes getting cloudy with tears as fear overtook him. Even if that part of his life was buried, there was no way to repress the memories.
“I’m sorry you had to go through that, Isaac,” she responded quietly, taking his free hand in hers. “And I’m sorry you had to go through it alone. I wish I could have at least been your friend back then.”
“I think you came at the perfect time,” he smiled softly. “Just long enough to get my shy and adorable side and stay to see my resurgence into an amazing and confident werewolf teenager.”
“You know, some people would say cocky and self-absorbed.”
“Well, those people would be wrong,” he chuckled. “But you did come at the right time. Those last couple of months, you actually gave me hope. If we had spent more time together, I think I may have even refused the bite.”
“Would you have, really?” (Y/N) mused. “Would you have given it all up?”
“I think so,” Isaac shrugged. “I mean, people around us don’t seem disturbed by what’s going on in this town. All I would have to worry about is whether or not I could pass my classes, and well, social services I guess.”
“Not funny,” she reprimanded, slapping him softly on the chest. “But the supernatural does suit you.”
“It does, doesn’t it?”
“Oh, calm down, Lahey.”
“I’m just kidding, Argent,” the boy laughed. “As for Derek, all you have to do is give it time. He can be a moody one.”
“Something feels different this time, though,” she sighed. “I don’t know what it is, but something’s just off.”
The last thing Derek had wanted was to make her cry. Hearing her sobs through her door made his heart wrench in his chest, and all he could do was get as far away from her as he could. His legs took off in a soft run at first but quickly turned into a supernatural sprint that had his lungs aching for air. All he could do was run.
Soon enough, the scenery of houses and cars turned into trees and bushes. Leaves crunched under his feet, and branches snapped as he stepped on them. Even when a rock stood in his way and threatened to make him lose his balance, he simply kept running.
He wished (Y/N) knew that what he did had been for her own good. If she wasn’t by his side, there was no way she could be used as a bargaining chip. Especially not with Peter back. He didn’t trust his own life in the hands of his uncle; how could he entrust him with (Y/N)’s?
By the time he had reached his family’s house, his body ached all over. Frustration filled his veins, and his limbs ached with the need for violence. He let out an exasperating scream before his fist went through a wooden board. He didn’t know if he wanted to keep breaking down the house or just sit down and cry. As much as he wanted to be by (Y/N)’s side, he knew that the best thing for her would be for him to stay as far away as possible. He had lived long enough with loneliness, though none as hurtful as this one for a long time. (Y/N) would soon enough move on from him, and he’d be the one to carry the hurt. As long as Peter was in town and her family would punish her for her affiliations, he’d just have to stay away.

Protectors: The Tell
Tumblr media
Y/n was sitting around doing nothing while she waited for Derek to return home from the “trip” he took with Scott. She was reading a book, when he heard Derek’s car engine driving onto the property. She heard him get out of the car but there was someone with him she knew that from the second door closing, and another pair of footsteps. “You know I have a life too.” She heard Scott say to Derek. She rolled her eyes already tired of the bickering pair. “No you don’t.” Derek said sighing turning around from his place on the stairs. Y/n got up to meet the bickering pair at the staircase, not saying anything. “Yes I do! I cont care what your saying about him making me his pet or wha-“ at this y/n interrupted “part of his pack” she said correcting him. Scott and Derek both looked over to her acknowledging what she said, Scott rolled his eyes and sighed. “Whatever. I have homework to do. I have to go to a parent teacher conference tomorrow because I’m failing chemistry” he said. Y/n felt for the teenage boy, she knew what it was like to have to balance her life and the supernatural protector rank that fell on her shoulders. Derek impatiently switched feet putting his weight on his right foot “do you want to do homework? Or do you want to not die” he’s sassed making y/n roll her eyes and sigh, making sure to make a mental note to talk to Derek about the way he was with these teenagers. “Look Scott you have less than a week until the full moon, if you don’t kill with him, he kills you.” Y/n said folding her arms.
Scott, now fed up with all of these rules shook his head “okay, seriously, who made up these rules?”. “It’s a rite if passage into his pack” Derek explained. “You know what else is a rite of passage? Graduating high school! And you don’t have to kill anyone to do it!” He said, he wasn’t wrong. “So if I help you, you guys can stop him?” He asked. Y/n shook he head “not by ourselves, we’re stronger in numbers. A pack make the individual more powerful, and I can only do so much at the given time” she said going to stand in between the two and facing Scott. “How am I supposed to help you if I have no idea what I’m doing?” He asked defeated. “Because we’re gonna teach you.” Derek said. “You remember what happened that first night you were shot in the arm? Right after you were hit?” Derek asked stepping down beside me. “Yeah I changed back” scot said nodding. “And then you were hit by his car, same thing, right? What’s the common denominator?” Derek asked grabbing and bending his wrist. Y/n wanted to stop him but Scott needed this. “What the hell are you doing?” Scott asked groaning in pain. “You’ll heal” y/n said looking down at scott who was now on his knees in pain. “It still hurt” he said looking up at the couple. “And that’s what keeps you human, pain” Derek said, watching as Scott healed. “Maybe you will survive” he said impressed, before walking up the stairs. Y/n sighed helping Scott up.
“Is he always that straight forward?” He asked. Y/n smiled “not always, he’s been through a lot. I find it amazing that he’s still able to care about the world when it’s been nothing but awful to him.” She replied with a quiet laugh. “Go home, get sleep, you’ve got school tomorrow.” She said hugging him and sending him off. Y/n closed her eyes and sighed. She wanted to help everyone the best she could, but the problems never stopped. She made her way up the stairs to find where Derek went, she found him in the bathroom brushing his teeth for bed. She stood admiring the handsome man in front of her. Derek looked over at her through the mirror, “like the view?” He asked smirking “oh I love the view” she said somewhat sarcastic. Derek smiled and they both stood in silence, Derek continuing on his nightly routine. “Do you aver wish we weren’t supernatural?” She asked. Derek stood straight and spurned around to talk to her face to face instead of through the mirror. “I used to, I like to think I’m saving lives. Protecting the little ones who don’t know they’re involved.” He said. Y/n loved that about Derek, he always cared. No matter how much pain and grief he suffered, he always cared. She smiled and started on her night routine.
—— the next day——
Y/n had decided to take the day off from school, opting to hang around Derek just for her to end up at school. “You know if I wanted be here I would have just came to school today” she muttered following Derek through the hallways of the school. “ you didn’t have to come” he sassed, and just by his tone she knew he was smiling. “Derek, I skipped school to spend the day with you” she said groaned. Derek stopped and turned around “how about this, after this, I’ll spend the rest of today with you. No interruptions, promise.” He said smiling. Y/n smiled looking up at the taller man “okay deal” she said. Derek leaned down and gave y/n a quick kiss before grabbing her hand and pulling her along.
The pair made it to the boys locker room for lacrosse players. Y/n sighed and roller her eyes as a guy walked out, leaving only one beating heart in the room, Jackson. He turned around and gasped when he saw us. “I- I don’t know where Scott is” he stuttered. “Oh we’re not here for Scott. We’re here for you” y/n said in a sickeningly sweet voice. She hated being mean but Jackson.. was an exception. “Wh-why me? I- I didn’t do anything” he stuttered backing up into the lockers behind him. Y/n and Derek walked forward getting closer to the cowering boy. Derek smiled “no, but you saw something didn’t you” he asked. “No, I didn’t- I didn’t see anything” he denied, still stuttering. “What was it? Hmm? An animal? A mountain lion?” Derek asked. “I didn’t see anything. I swear. I’m- I’m not lying.” He defended. “I don’t know Jackson, something’s telling me your lying” y/n said. “Calm down and say it again” she said. “Say what? That I’m not lying” he asked confused. “Tell us that you didn’t dn see anything. Slowly” Derek demanded. “I. Didn’t. See. Anything. I’m not lying. “ he said slowly. We both knew Jackson was lying but decided not to push the boy anymore. “One more thing” Derek said pulling his hair to show the wound on his neck. Y/n inspected the wound “you should probably get that checked out” y/n said. With that being done and over with, the couple walked out and made their way back to the hale house.
In the car y/ns phone had started to buzz, she took the phone out of her pocket and looked at the caller who just to happened to be stiles. She sighed and answered the phone “yes stiles?” She said. “Where the hell are you guys?” He asked. Y/ns eyebrows furrowed “what do you mean?” She asked. “Did you and Scott decide collectively to bail school and not let me in on it?” Y/n sighed “Scott’s not at school?” She asked. “No, and neither are you. You know someone died last night and Lydia is completely MIA and, you and Scott need to do something about it.” “What do you think I’ve been doing?” “I don’t know, whatever it is that you do when your not at school” y/n rolled her eyes. “Does Scott know?” She asked “no, he won’t answer my calls.” “Okay I’ll figure it out, give me some time” she said. “Okay” he said before t/n ended the call. She sighted, “we are never gonna get a break, are we” she asked turning toward Derek. “Probably not” he said laughing.
They decided they were gonna figure it out while Derek worked out. She kept getting distracted by Derek who was jumping from doing pull ups to push ups. “You know your really distracting in these situations” she said smirking. “You could be down here with me” he huffed while doing push ups. They both paused looking towards where the front door was located. Y/ns head tilted feeling her body go into protector mode. The couple jumped up when they heard the door being kicked in, and three pairs of feet walk in. “Nobody home?” She heard a man. “Oh he’s here, just not feeling particularly hospitable” she heard the voice of Kate argent. Her blood began to boil as she started to make her way to meet the demon woman but was stopped by Derek. “Hide, they don’t know your here, give them a surprise” he whispered. She hesitated but agreed giving him a kiss and sneaking out of sight but close by. She heard Kate say “you want to provoke him, say something like, ‘to bad your sister bit it before she had her first litter’” y/n had gotten so mad her body began to shake with anger, trying not to just jump out and end her before she could take another step. “To bad she howled like a bitch when we cut her in half.” Kate hissed. Y/n heard Derek growl and a body hit the floor, and another shortly after. She couldn’t tell exactly where derek was until she Heard him snarl and then a taser sending Derek’s body to the ground groaning. Y/n made her way around to try to sneak up behind Kate. She was right behind the wall when she heard Kate. “Mm this one grew up in all the right places. I don’t know whether to kill it or lick it” she said.
Y/n rushed from behind the wall eyes glowing vibrant, and threw her to the wall “How about I kill you. Hmm?” Y/n growled. Kate recovered quickly running at y/n with her taser in her hand. Y/n and kate hassled for a minute, y/n had decided not to use magic, as she could easily take down kate without it. But kate still had her taser and tased y/n when she went to knee her stomach. The volts sent y/n to the ground convulsing in pain. Her body twitched still feeling the electricity roaming through her body. Kate began to walk around the couple on the ground, mostly following derek as he crawled to the couch to pick himself up before tasing him again. The pain in y/n had began subsiding as she sat up not making an effort to stand. “Nine-hundred-thousand volts...You never were good with electricity, were you? Or fire. How about you y/n? How’s it seeing him in pain over me again? Anyway, I'm gonna let you in on a little secret...and, well, maybe we can help each other out...” kate said. Once again Derek had began to get up despite the pain, as he crawled his way over to y/n who grabbed his hand muttering a spell to ease his pain.
“Yes, your sister was severed into pieces and used as bait to try to catch you. Unpleasant, and frankly, a little too Texas Chainsaw Massacre for my taste, but quite true.” Both derek and y/n stared up at the evil woman with the most deadly of glares. “Now, here's the part that might really kick you in your new balls--we didn't kill her.” Kate finished. Y/n scoffed as Derek just continued to glare still shaking. “What you think I’m lying?” She asked. “Wouldn’t be the first time” Derek said tensely. “Why don’t you just listen to my heart and tell me if I am?” She asked. Y/n rolled her eyes and sighed but still listened. Kate repeated the words and y/n didn’t hear a tick in her heartbeat, so she either learned to control her heartbeat or she wasn’t lying. “Hear that? No skips or upticks. Just the steady beat of the cold hard truth.” She said. Y/n groaned having grown tired of the woman’s voice ages ago. Kate stood and began to walk around again, collapsing her taser “Found bite marks on your sister's body, Derek. What do you think did that? A mountain lion? Why aren't we helping each other out? You might as well admit what you've been guessing all along, which is...the Alpha killed your sister. And all you have to do is tell us who he is, and we'll take care of it for you! Problem solved, everybody goes home happy.” She said looking at the two. Neither of the pair spoke up causing Kate’s eyebrows to raise.
“Unless… you don’t know who he is either.” She said in realization. She sighed shaking her head “wow. Guess who just became totally useless.” She said turning her back for a split second, that allowed y/n and Derek to sprint out of the house hearing gunshots firing behind them. Once they were sure they were far enough they stopped running, Derek looked back at the direction the had just ran from with anger covering his features. “I can’t wait until the day I can curse her” y/n said panting. Derek looked down at her and smiled slightly grabbing her hand and walking out of the woods careful not to run into Kate and her goons.

Characters: Derek Hale, Stilinski!Twin, Scott McCall, Stiles Stilinski
Pairings: Derek Hale x Stilinski!Twin Reader
Summary: You and Derek make your first appearance as a couple.
Series Masterlist
Warnings: None! Just fluffy fluff.
A/N: Thank you so much for getting Secrets Out to 1k notes!! I still can’t believe it!!! :’) Here is the sequel I have been working on for a bit. Enjoy!!!!
“Are you sure you’re ready to go back to school?” Stiles asked. You could hear the worry in his voice. He leaned against your bedroom doorway and watched you finish up your morning routine.
“Yes! I feel like I’ve been on bed rest for years. I’m ready to leave the ‘safest place for you’.” You quoted the word safety because it was the word your dad kept using to describe your house. You winced as you tugged on your sweater. Your wounds were mostly all healed, but you were still a bit sore.
“Okay. But if you feel like you need to take a half day, just let me know and you can take the car home. I’ll ride with Scott.” Stiles grabbed your backpack and books before you could reach for them. “But take it easy.”
You rolled your eyes. Typical Stiles and his overprotectiveness.
“Now hurry up. He’s been waiting.”
You tilted your head in confusion. “Is Scott taking us today?”
“No you nimrod. Your dog toy has been waiting downstairs in his car for 10 minutes now.” Stiles said, matter of fact. He took your stuff and headed down the stairs. You turned around to look out the window. To your surprise, you saw a familiar black car in your driveway. You smirked and headed down stairs as fast as you could.
Stiles was waiting by the door with your stuff. You could tell he was waiting to say something to you.
“Is this the part where you tell me to wear protection?” You asked, bending down to put on your shoes.
Stiles shivered in disgust. “Ew no. I was just going to say be careful okay?”
You looked up at him. He was watching you sadly. You knew these past couple of months had been hard on him. You could tell just by his facial expressions, that he felt like he was losing you to Derek.
You stepped forward and wrapped your arms around him in a tight hug. It took a second, but he hugged you back.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you. I wasn’t sure how you would react. You know, werewolf and all.”
You pulled away and looked up at him guilty. He scoffed.
“He already got the talk. Just wait till dad finds out.”
Your eyes widened at that thought. “Maybe in 30 years when dad can no longer shoot a gun.”
Stiles laughed and opened the door for you to reveal Derek leaning against the wall with his hands in his pockets. His mood lightened when he saw you were up and standing.
“Hey.” He said, acting as if he wasn’t in your room late last night. That part you still kept from Stiles.
“Hey yourself.” You said as you took a few steps forward to give him a hug. You pulled away slightly to press a soft kiss onto his lips.
“Hey, hey. What did I say about the PDA? Not in front of me please.” Stiles said, turning away and reaching his arms out to hand Derek your books and backpack.
“Sorry,'' You said with a laugh. Derek took your stuff and thanked Stiles. He had one arm around your waist, just in case. Stiles watched you two as Derek pulled out of the driveway. You gave him a quick wave before you lost sight of him.
“I can’t believe you’re taking this so well.” Scotts voice came from the yard.
“And I can’t believe you never told me.” He said, turning to give Scott an annoyed look.
Scott shrugged. “Not my place. Ready?”
“Yeah. Let’s go.” Stiles said, closing the door behind him and making his way to the Jeep.
***********
“How are you feeling?” Derek asked. His expression was relatively calm. He was getting better at hiding his worry.
“I’m okay. Did you tell Stiles you were going to pick me up?” You asked, curious.
He nodded. “Well, we kinda got outed. So I didn’t see any harm in taking my girlfriend to school on her first day back.” He took your hand in his right hand, one hand still on the wheel.
You blushed. It was weird now that everyone knew. Well, mostly everyone. Your dad was certainly never going to find out in this lifetime.
“Are you sure you’re ready to go back this early? You can always spend another week resting in bed.”
You rolled your eyes. Stiles and Derek were very similar. They just didn’t know it. “I’m fine Der. I just need to get out of that house. Interact with someone other than my dad, brother and you.”
He looked at you with a raised eyebrow. “Not that I don’t want to hang out with you. It’s just, I miss everyone else. Danny, Allison, and dare I say it, I even miss some of Coach’s yelling.”
Derek chuckled and squeezed your hand. Before you knew it you were in the parking lot at school. You turned to open your door and was about to turn around to give Derek a goodbye kiss, but he was already outside, opening the door for you.
“What are you doing?” You asked, as he helped you out of the car. Derek merely smiled and pressed a kiss onto your head and pulled you closer to him.
“What? I’m walking my lovely girlfriend to school. Parking lots can be dangerous, you know.” He grabbed your stuff with one arm, and swung his other arm around your shoulder. You giggled and blushed as you watched all the eyes that were currently on you. Derek was well known among your classmates, especially the girls. But no one ever knew he was taken.
Until today.
You could see a few jealous looks come your way. Whispers surrounded you two. You internally groaned as you knew the pack would make a big deal out of this.
“I see you two have finally come out.” Lydia said and she stepped easily into motion with you two.
You blushed harder and buried your face in Derek’s shoulder. You didn’t realize how much this was going to affect your life. Not only at home, but at school too.
“See you inside.” She said with a smirk as she skipped through the front doors.
Derek stopped and handed you your stuff. “Text me if you aren’t feeling too good okay? I’ll be around. Don’t push yourself.” You nodded and looked up at him. He pressed a kiss to your head, but you tiptoed and pressed a very passionate, but still PG kiss onto his lips. He smiled brightly as you pulled away. You were aware there were many eyes on you two, but you didn’t care.
“Thanks Der. I’ll be okay.” He smiled, and stole one kiss before making his way back to his car. You walked up the stairs and turned around to wave, before making your way to your locker. You could hear the whispers around you as you were putting your books away.
“Talk of the town, huh Y/N.” Lydia said and she stepped next to you with Allison. You blushed and tried to hide inside your locker.
“Can we talk about anything else besides my little sister’s love life today?” Stiles said annoyingly trying to push his way past your friends to get to his locker.
Lydia merely rolled her eyes at him. Allison smiled at you, knowing how good it must have felt to finally be able to show the world that you were happy. You finished grabbing what you needed from your locker, and started to walk to class.
You felt a pair of arms around your shoulders as soon as you turned a corner.
“So does that mean he’s not your cousin?” Danny asked, confused.
You looked at Danny with wide eyes, then back at your brother. “Stiles!” You said, as Stiles turned around and spirited away.
A/N: Well, this was the last story I had planned for my “Firsts” series. Nothing currently cooking, so taking requests if you have any. (:

Derek Hale x reader - won’t scare me
Tumblr media
Could you please do ““Show me.” “Show you what?” “The real you.”” With Derek Hale🥺 - Anon 💜
You missed Derek, you hadn’t seen him for a while and with all the weird things happening around the town you were getting worried about him.
You tried calling a few times but he wouldn’t pick up, and you did try texting him but he left you on read, it was the only thing you had to let you know that he was okay.
Sitting on your sofa, you said as you rested your head on Peters lap, looking up at him as he placed his hand on your forehead.
“Does he want to break up…?” You asked softly.
“Absolutely not, that’s the last thing he wants. He’s just got a lot going on right now.” Peter said.
He didn’t look away from the TV and you frowned a little, turning your head to watch it as well.
You sighed, picking your phone up from the floor as you checked it before letting it fall back to the floor again.
“Is he seeing someone else?” You asked.
“Far from it.”
You thought for a moment, he was definitely hiding something from you, you knew that.
Peter flicked his eyes to you, sighing a little.
“There’s more to Derek than you think (Y/N), that’s all I’m saying.”
You nodded your head.
Maybe that was true, but how could you find out when he wasn’t talking to you?
You spent the rest of the day thinking about it, and finally you figured out what you had to do.
You couldn’t get Derek to talk to you or meet up so you decided to go to the loft, you had waited long enough and you didn’t want to wait any longer.
You made your way to the loft and saw that the door was already open, and you were cautious as you approached it and stood in the doorway.
You looked around before slowly taking a step in, followed by another one until you were stood in the middle of the loft looking around.
“Derek…?” You called softly.
You heard a mumbled, and someone shuffled from around a corner, and Derek came stumbling out, covered in blood and cuts.
“Derek!”
You rushed over to him and caught him just before he fell to the ground.
With his weight, you dropped with him, falling to your knees as you moved him so he was on his back, head resting on your legs as you looked at all his injuries.
“It’s okay I.. I’m going to call an ambulance..”
You tried to find your phone but you couldn’t, and you realised your left it in your car around the corner and cursed yourself.
You looked at Derek frantically and he looked up at you, raising a hand, he brushed it against the skin of your cheek.
“You shouldn’t be here…” he whispered.
“I wanted to talk…”
He smiled a little and sat up with a pained groan, despite your telling him to lay back down or asking where his phone was so you could call for help.
He sat on the couch and took his shirt off, using it to wipe some of the blood away from the slowly healing wounds and you walked over.
“They.. they’re not bleeding?”
“I know, it’s going to be fine but you should go.” He sighed.
You shook your head, and walked over, but Derek quickly stood up pointing to the door.
“Get out!” He yelled.
His voice shook the building and you stumbled back a little in pure shock.
“Derek I…”
You looked away and nodded your head slowly, backing away towards the entrance to the loft without looking at him and you turned around to leave.
You hesitated at the doorway.
“I hope you’ll be okay…”
With that, you left and you didn’t text him or call him after that.
Derek felt bad and for days it was eating away at him, but he had to keep you safe, and right now you being safe was staying away from him while his uncle watched over you.
He knew Peter was with you everyday.
You were sitting in your kitchen, eating some ice cream while Peter waved a spoon about the air.
“Honestly just go speak to him, stop stuffing your face with ice cream.”
Taking another spoonful, you pointed your spoon at him.
“You’re eating it too jackass.”
Peter grinned innocently and took a spoonful before shrugging and eating it.
“I just like eating your food, saves me money on getting any.”
“I’ll start charging you.”
“You wouldn’t.” He countered.
You smiled a little before going back to eating the ice cream.
Peter watched you for a moment before he carried on as well, only to stop when he heard someone approaching your door.
He waited for the knock before getting up.
“Ask to see the real him.” Was all he said before leaving.
You frowned a little and looked in the doorway to the kitchen confused.
You were expecting to see Peter coming back, but instead you found his nephew standing in your door ward instead, looking anywhere but you.
Scowling, you turned back to your tub of ice cream and angrily took another mouthful.
“Can we talk?” Derek asked quietly.
You shrugged and he walked over, sitting in front of you.
You glanced at him quickly before you turned away.
“You seem to be doing well…” you mumbled out.
“Still achy, but I had to talk to you. (Y/N) I’m so sorry for shouting at you, for telling you to get out.”
You didn’t say anything and he sighed softly, pulling the ice cream away from you making you frown even more as you looked up at you.
Setting the spoon down on the table, you kept in mind what Peter had told you.
“I just… I thought I was protecting you. But I realise in trying to protect you I hurt you, and that is the last thing I ever wanted to do. I never want to hurt you (Y/N).”
You nodded your head and he held out his hand.
You couldn’t help it, you reached out and placed your hand in his, letting him cover it with his other hand and stand up, walking over he held your hand against his chest.
“You mean so much to me, and I don’t want to loose you okay? I can’t loose you.”
“Then why have you been avoiding me? What’s going on Derek?”
He shook his head.
“I can’t tell you, I’m sorry.”
Standing up, you stood just inches away from him.
“I want you to do something for me.” You spoke quietly.
Derek nodded his head and you took a deep breath. You had no clue what Peter meant by this, but you were hoping it would give you some answers.
“Show me.”
Derek frowned a little as he looked at you confused.
“Show you what?” He asked.
You smiled a little.
“The real you.”
Derek instantly cursed Peter in his head and swore he was going to get back at his uncle.
He looked at you, and as he gazed into your eyes he realised he had no choice. He couldn’t keep putting this off any longer.
He let you go and took a step away, turning his back to you.
Derek stood like that for a minute before he turned around, showing you his face.
Sharp teeth, crinkled forehead, eyes as blue as the sky shining brightly.
You looked at him up and down, picking up on a few more things. Pointed ears, sharp claws.
Derek away from you, and you took a few steps closer making him snap his eyes back to you.
Once you were in front of him, you raised your hands and gently touched his face, running the tips of your fingers over his skin.
He leant into your touch, closing his eyes.
“This is what you’ve been hiding?” You asked softly.
He nodded.
“Why…?”
“Because I didn’t want to scare you away…”
You laughed a little.
“Derek I’ve loved you since we were kids. I always have. Nothing could scare me away, especially if your uncle can’t.”
Derek chuckled a little and you watched as everything about him returned to normal, and he pulled you in for a hug holding you tightly.
He wasn’t ever going to let you go, and he was never going to let anyone come anywhere near you

that type of love ۵ d.h
derek hale x fem!reader
summary: derek hale is over protective, and even more so when it comes to his girlfriend.
warnings: reader, allison and lydia are drunk. over protective derek.
___________________________________________________
‘she hasn’t texted me since nine, stiles, it’s now almost one in the morning’ derek groans out, running a hand through his already messy hair. his mind is spinning, his heart beats racing. he hates when this happens, when he comes across like he’s crazy and won’t let his girlfriend do her own thing. he has no problem with that, he has absolutely no problem with his girlfriend going out with her friends. but when it’s been around five hours and no response, he can’t help the anxiety that rushes through his body.
she promised him, she promised she would text him and make sure he knew that she was safe. and she promised to tell him if anything happened. but now his mind is going crazy, wondering if something did happen and maybe she can’t text him or call him. then he starts to really panic.
the thought of his girl, hurt somewhere, needing him but unable to get to him. just the thought makes his heart drop to his stomach.
‘you know they are probably fine, they just went for a meal and now they are having some drinks’ stiles says calmly, trying not to further stress the werewolf out in front of him.
‘i can’t just sit here not knowing if she’s okay, stiles. my heart literally feels like its at the pit of my stomach’ he says, pacing around the loft. he takes a deep breath, trying to remain calm as he, stiles and scott sit and wait for their girlfriends to come back. or even just call. something.
derek knows he’s probably putting doubts in the boys in front of him. but he just can’t help it. his girlfriend is precious to him. god forbid anyone did anything to hurt or harm her in any way. he remembers the last time she went out with lydia and allison, she texted back every. time. granted, she was very drunk so the text messages didn’t make much sense, but at least he knew she was okay. and god, does she get soft when she drinks; it’s something he adores about her.
so the fact that this time there was no response from her, made his stomach churn and his head ache.
‘they said they’d be back here at eleven, at the latest’ derek says, crossing his arms across his broad chest. scott sighs. he understands better than stiles does, he thinks. he is protective over allison, but he is comforted by the fact she is a trained hunter and always carries around weapons with her just in case. whereas, y/n, is a human and is not a trained fighter. he knows y/n can take care of herself, but he understands why derek is so protective of her.
he has never seen derek as desperately in love with somebody, before. and although he would never say it to them, everybody knows it and can see it. he’s almost a different person when she is around, he’s much gentler, and softer. he looks at her like she hung the moon, and treats her as if she’s as delicate as the stars surrounding it.
derek slumps down onto the sofa again, pulling out his phone for the one hundredth time tonight. still no response. he’s sent an absurd amount of tests at this point, just needing to know she is okay.
‘hi bub. sorry to bother you, you okay?’
‘i’m sorry to text again sweetheart, just hope you’re okay’
‘i’m getting a little worried now, please let me know you are safe’
‘baby?’
‘i hate doing this but you know i cant rest unless i know you’re okay, please reply when you can beautiful’
he can’t help feeling the ache in his chest, reading the last message she sent him around nine. ‘i’m okay der, we are just at this random club idk where, i love you!!!! x’.
stiles looms over at scott, shrugging a little, both not knowing what they can do to help. i guess it’s just a waiting game now.
ღ.ღ.ღ.ღ.ღ.ღ
i giggle uncontrollably as lydia trips along the sidewalk. my eyes are teary from all the laughing, and partly the alcohol, and partly the cold air. the road appears blurry and spinning in front of me as i hold onto my friends for support as we walk the walk back to the loft. the loft. where my gorgeous boyfriend is waiting for me.
‘everything is spinning’ allison says with a sigh, as me and lydia nod along with her. it really is.
‘i’m so so so so cold’ i shiver, picking up the pace as we get closer to the loft. ‘i had such a good time tonight, we need to do this more often’ lydia says, pulling me into her side more as we attempt to warm our drunken selves up together. i nodded, ‘definitely’
we really did have the best night, we had an amazing meal and then went to the club nearby. we had way too much to drink, but danced together all night like there wasn’t a worry in the world. we have been walking for a while, i wanted to call derek and ask him to pick us up, but my phone died around nine o’clock. i didn’t even realise the battery was low. despite how much fun i have had, in the back of my mind all night i have been worried about derek. i know how worried and over protective he gets, but with the company of scott and stiles i hope he’s been okay.
when the loft came into my view, i grinned. ‘my boyfriend!’ i exclaim, pulling the girls faster with me as i rush to the door.
‘i didn’t know your boyfriend was an old rusty building’ lydia slurs. i giggle, my head falling on her shoulder. ‘n-no, silly, inside it!’
‘there’s a small chance i might throw up’ allison says with a very serious expression on her face. this just makes me laugh even more than before.
i stumble up the stairs, sliding open the door with all of the energy left in me. derek’s head shoots towards me, as he stands up faster than he ever has before, and rushes over.
‘thank god’ i hear him murmur, as he pulls me into his chest. i giggle, ‘mm, missed you’ i slur, snuggling into the warmth of his chest. i didn’t realise just how cold it was out there until now. derek sighs, pulling back from the hug, ‘you’re freezing, come with me’
i follow him up his stairs the best i can, snickering when my leg slightly gives way. ‘careful, baby’ derek says with a small grin on his face. we reach his bedroom, so i plop myself on the edge of his bed, watching him as he walks towards the closet. he pulls out my favourite hoodie of his, and a pair of my black cotton shorts i leave here.
by the time he reaches me, i’m already peeling off the dress i have had on for far too long. my whole body shivered as i stood there, before derek pulls the hoodie over my head, then helped me step into the shorts.
finally, once i’m warmer and more comfortable, i sit beside him on the bed. ‘i missed you’ i repeat, snuggling into his shoulder. he hums, ‘missed you too, baby. why didn’t you reply to any of my texts?’ he says, and i don’t need to be completely sober to notice how tense his body is. i lift my head up, looking at his droopy eyes, and i instantly feel guilty.
‘my phone died, i’m sorry’ i say, placing on hand on his flushed cheeks. ‘i’m sorry if i worried you’, i know how worried he gets. my chest aches just thinking about how he must have felt all night.
‘no, no it’s not your fault. just got a bit worried, s’all’ he mumbles, placing his hand on the side of my jaw, pressing a kiss on the tip of my red, cold nose.
‘was it just a bit worried, or was it very worried?’ i tease, grinning at him as he rolls his eyes. ‘shut up’ he mumbles, leaning in and pressing a firm kiss on my lips. he lets out a sigh into the kiss, which i know is him feeling relieved.
‘you know i would have texted you back if i could, i can show you my phone if-’
‘no, no i believe you baby. don’t worry about that’ he says, shuffling back to the head of the bed and pulling me with him. ‘come on, lay down with me’ he says softly.
he rests his head on the pillow, as i lean down and snuggle up into his chest. the warmth of his body pulls me in, his arms stretching around my waist and one moving to interlock his fingers with mine.
‘fuck, i’m so glad you’re safe’ he mumbles, causing a little smile to form on my face.
‘i love you’ i whisper, pressing a small kiss to his chest. ‘i love you, so much’ he replies, closing his eyes as he can finally relax.

You open the door to the loft revealing your brother, Stiles, Scott, Peter and Derek. The latter’s eyes open wide when he realises he missed your dinner reservations celebrating your anniversary.
It has happened before that plans fall through and you truly aren’t mad. Annoyed? Yes. Frustrated? A little. He could’ve at least send you a message to let you know, but in the heat of finding out who the next threat is, it probably slipped his mind.
When he’d missed the reservation you knew that it would be because of a new threat and you’d find him in his loft conducting some kind of plan. The fact that Scott and Stiles are still here means it’s a fairly recent discovery.
But how are you going to explain to your brother that you just barged into Derek’s loft dressed to the nines? This wouldn’t be a problem if your brother knew about your relationship with the sour wolf.
Your mind was still working on an explanation when you hear Stiles’ voice in an accusatory tone: “What are you doing here?” and more silently he asked Scott if they’d accidentally alerted everyone.
“I asked her to come,” Derek’s voice saves you.
Relief floods through you when the attention of the room moves to Derek and you mouth him a silent thank you.
“Why,” your brother immediately asks.
“She was a real help with the previous creature so I didn’t think it would be a bad idea to invite her.”
That man, always such a quick thinker.
“Why’re you dressed up then,” Stiles fires at you.
“Because I had plans, but they fell through at the last minute,” you answer flawlessly. It was the truth after all.
“I’ll get you some comfortable clothes,” Derek mumbles after Stiles hum of approval at the explanation.
You follow him into the bedroom. He rummages through his closet and hands you sweatpants and one of his shirts. Huh, it would look suspicious if you’d walked out in your own clothes, that you kept at Derek’s loft.
His hand slowly caresses your arm while giving you a soundless kiss on you forehead. You lean into his touch wishing you could spend the night just the two of you.
When you come back in the living room after getting changed, Peter has disappeared and Stiles is scribbling on Derek’s bulletin board. A lot of books are covering the table now, most of them already open. You sit down next to Derek and Stiles hands you a couple of books to go through. Derek gives you a secretive wink while slowly moving your chair closer to him. One of his hands lands on your thigh giving you a squeeze.
After hours and hours of research Stiles finally calls it a night. No one is really taking in the words they’re reading which means we’re getting nowhere. Stiles must be really tired because he doesn’t say anything when you don’t follow him and Scott outside.
When they’re gone, Derek immediately pulls you onto his lap.
“I should’ve texted,” he whispers in your ear.
You put your arms around his neck while looking into his eyes.
“It’s alright. I know the drill. What I didn’t expect was to find my brother.”
“Tell me about it,” he sighs, “I’m sorry.”
He buries his face in your neck. The stubble scratching, but tickling at the same time. Your hands land in his hair, slowly caressing his scalp.
“We’ll celebrate once the problem is solved.”
Derek moves his head from your neck to look at you once more.
“You looked gorgeous in that dress.”
“I’m glad you liked it,” you whisper.
“Loved it,” he says matter-of-fact before pressing his lips to yours in a hungry kiss.
Before things can escalate, you put your finger on his lips stopping him from giving you another kiss.
“Let’s not get carried away. Knowing Stiles, he’ll be here way to early in the morning,” you chuckle.
Derek groans, but stands up anyway.
Before crawling into bed, you remove Derek’s sweatpants, his shirt reaches mid-thigh anyway. Derek’s still undressing when you’re already under the covers. You let your eyes wander while he strips down to his boxers.
When he finally crawls into bed, he says: “Enjoyed the show.”
“It’s the least you could give me after missing our reservations,” you giggle while moving into Derek’s arms.
He sighs. At first you were disappointed, but you know he didn’t do it on purpose so you’re not really mad.
You plant a big kiss on his cheek before letting sleep take you.
---
You wake up with a start when the sheets are violently ripped from your bodies. Derek’s roar fills the air while he sits protectively in front of you.
“What’s going on,” you ask, still half asleep.
You put a hand on his shoulder to keep you upright, sleep threatening to pull you under once more.
“That’s what I would like to know. It’s not every day I find my sister in his bed,” Stiles’ angry voice reaches your ears.
Suddenly your wide awake. You sit up straight, still partially hidden by Derek’s body.
“Maybe we should get some coffee in our system before having that conversation,” Derek says.
Surprisingly, Stiles agrees and leaves the bedroom. Thank the heavens for Derek. You let your head fall onto his back as a groan escapes your lips. Derek chuckles before moving around and taking you into his arms.
“This is definitely not how I wanted to start my day,” you mutter into Derek’s neck.
“I know, but at least now it’s out in the open.”
“I just want to sleep some more,” you mumble.
Your eyes close again and sleep is ready to take you when Derek abruptly stands up. He pulls you up with him and guides you toward the kitchen.
