It's literally giving me life. The Titans, Teen or otherwise, have a serious lack of grounded characters (and not in a 'no powers = grounded' way).

Wally has always been that character. He's always been the everyday, average normal guy living among billionaires royalty and demigods. (Which is wild because he should not be that normal with his power set and abilities)

Karen and Mal were also grounded characters in the og Teen Titans (which, again, was really needed cause Dick did shit like handing strangers thousands of dollars to keep quiet about his friend's antics and Roy went off and did shit like buying a bar on a whim at 16 and Donna and Garth had no concept of money or consequences) but unfortunately the series never really explored that aspect of their characters.

But now??? Now when Roy complains that Wally doesn't have a helipad at his house Wally doesn't have to 'Jim the camera'. Wally has a whole ass person to text this shit to!!! Karen can Snapchat Wally about how Donna thinks healthcare comes from purple laser beams and has zero concept of insurance. They aren't alone!!!

And honestly I love it so much.

Nezu gave him his job #and believed in him so much that he let him do whatever he wanted in pursuit of teaching students who would live longer #and less foolishly. i haven't been having the best time lately

thinking about Adventure Time and how special it is

to be more specific, how special it is to me and my family. the show was one of my mother's favorite shows, she identified with Marceline's story the most and she even had gotten a prop axe guitar SIGNED BY OLIVIA OLSON!!!

my mom has been gone for some time now, she never even got to watch the show past Stakes. I think she would have loved the finale, Distant Lands and Fionna and Cake.

I wish we still had all her AT merch, I wish we still had the axe guitar especially. on the guitar was the lyrics to Fries, but with my mom's name instead, written by Olivia Olson herself. it was one of her favorite songs

now me and my dad bond over watching the show, both out of our own enjoyment, cause god is it funny and tragic. has made us both coughing and wheezing, and tearing up and choking up. and from the reminder the show has of my mother.

my mom would sometimes sing Everything Stays to calm me and my siblings, when she was mentally stable anyways. whenever I'm sad now I sing the song to myself. it reminds me of though my mom was not a great person (story for another day), she still cared about me.

Adventure Time is such a special and beautiful show, and I am so lucky to have grown up with it.

Fun fact : ever since the investigation of her mother nanako had to learn self-defense by her father because he kept leaving because he needs evidence of his wife's demise

So she lives home alone until yu aka her big brother decided to babysit her after he moved from the city sea to the freshwater inaba ocean so she won't be alone anymore

but she had a dream where the house got ransacked and there was a lot of fog and as she swam she probably couldn't see in the dream but she could see in the fog and she swam until she stopped in her tracks

then she saw the culprit in a shadowy-like form with yellow eyes glaring at her as the culprit holds her dad by the shoulders like an empty portrait and as she's trying to question did her eyes deceive her the culprit swim fast and and claws her neck open and everything went black

she woke up she told this to yu and she thinks that is a bad omen and she has a bad feeling at her stomach after waking up so he was kind of shocked did this dream she had was a just a nightmare or a bad omen like she says

so she joins the investigation team to prevent the fog from making her nightmare a reality with some help of course!
