Negativity can only affect you if you’re on the same frequency, so vibrate higher! And how can you stay positive? Easy… 1. Identify areas to change. If you want to become more optimistic and engage in more positive thinking, first identify areas of your life that you usually think negatively about, whether it's work, your daily commute, life changes or a relationship. You can start small by focusing on one area to approach in a more positive way. Think of a positive thought to manage your stress instead of a negative one. 2. Check yourself. Periodically during the day, stop and evaluate what you're thinking. If you find that your thoughts are mainly negative, try to find a way to put a positive spin on them. 3. Be open to humour. Give yourself permission to smile or laugh, especially during difficult times. Seek humour in everyday happenings. When you can laugh at life, you feel less stressed. 4. Follow a healthy lifestyle. Aim to exercise for about 30 minutes on most days of the week. You can also break it up into 5- or 10-minute chunks of time during the day. Exercise can positively affect mood and reduce stress. Follow a healthy diet to fuel your mind and body. Get enough sleep. And learn techniques to manage stress. 5. Surround yourself with positive people. Make sure those in your life are positive, supportive people you can depend on to give helpful advice and feedback. Negative people may increase your stress level and make you doubt your ability to manage stress in healthy ways. 6. Practice positive self-talk. Start by following one simple rule: Don't say anything to yourself that you wouldn't say to anyone else, or would want to be true. Be gentle and encouraging with yourself. If a negative thought enters your mind, evaluate it rationally and respond with affirmations of what is good about you. Hanukkah Sameach!!  It's Hanukah right now in Israel. I'm in Tzukim in the Arava Desert.  Day 1 – The first meditation is called Guru Prasad to cultivate gratitude. It is also known as the “Gift of God” meditation, it helps one tap into the flow of giving and receiving. This meditation is good for those who experience trouble receiving. It helps us to remember that everything is a gift from the divine. Guru Prasad means Guru’s Grace or blessing, given by the Guru. Sit in a comfortable posture, with a straight spine and neck. Cup your hands together as if you are gathering water and place your hands in front of your heart centre. Relax your arms at your side. With your eyes closed, visualize all the things you are grateful for - your home, your loved ones, your work… Focus on all the things you love and feel the grace of gratitude rise above your heart. Breathe deeply and feel yourself merging with the light of all of those blessings. Continue for 3 minutes or 11 up to 31 minutes, however long it feels comfortable to do so.   Enjoy! Don’t forget to write 3 things that you are grateful for each day and use the hashtag  #LiveHealBloomKundaliniYogaChallenge. Track your progress by writing a journal of your experiences,  the thoughts that come out of your meditation, life changes, surprises and serendipities.  Cultivate gratitude in your heart, so you can receive more blessings that you can imagine.
