Good morning! I was in Antipolo yesterday, and I just realized that I've been wearing the same safari pants to go to the Barangay meeting. Subconsciously, I must be thinking I'm going on a safari to observe wild animals. 😝 For those who were asking, the reset "hearing" finally happened yesterday. There were five of them - a lawyer and engineer from one company, an engineer and his assistant from another company, and a geodetic engineer wearing sunglasses. They gave me a copy of the titles, a drawing of the development affecting my property, and told me that I was the one who encroached on their property. I asked how it is possible when my title is dated 1975, and they purchased the property only recently. The engineer explained that the surveyors were "mali mali" in the old days, not accurately measuring. I asked how it is possible when my geodetic engineer got the coordinates from the LRA office, and her survey matched the old ones. The bottom line is we agreed to do a joint survey with the developer of the farm lot subdivision and they said that me and my engineer are welcome to join the joint survey. They agreed to set it in the first week of July. If you have experience with old titles and inaccurate surveys, would greatly appreciate if you can share them with me so that I can understand and accept that it’s possible to have inaccuracies. If life throws you lemons 🍋, plant a lemon tree! 😝 I know that's not how the saying goes, but that's what I did today. Things didn't go as planned. The barangay meeting was scheduled for this morning. Everyone - the defendant, my geodetic engineer, the Lupon (committee)- knew that Antipolo would be declared a holiday, Rizal Day, but still, everyone agreed to meet. I was in the Barangay early, and believe it or not, my geodetic engineer was waiting in my property, about 40 minutes away. She thought that the joint survey was today. And the defendants never showed up! This is classic Mercury retrograde in action! Since the planet Mercury represents all aspects of communication, when it goes retrograde, it is associated with increased misunderstanding. Astrologers would advise that this period is not the time to start anything new such as a new relationship, a new job, a long term project, or a new career. It is also not the time to enter into binding commitments like marriage, finances without the absolute expectation of necessary modifications, alternative compromises, and reversals in the original plan and intent. And, unless it’s an emergency, it is generally not a good idea to make or go to medical appointments. Because of the holiday, the Lupon didn’t declare the other party in default and the meeting was reset to next Friday. I thanked the Lupon, drove to my property., and planted a lemon tree … also some guavas, and a mulberry. 😬 Stay cool this rainy retrograde season! Did you know that removal of boundary markers or "mohon" is a crime? Under Article 313 of the Revised Penal Code, removing mohons on a land is punishable by imprisonment and fine. The mohon can only be moved through court order or with the help of a geodetic engineer in a relocation survey, including both landowners. So I'm in Camp Crame now to file a complaint regarding the code of conduct of the security guards of my neighbor who did an unlawful act of pulling the mohons out. Specifically, violating RA No. 5487, Rule X Professional Conduct and Ethics of Security Guards, item j. "He or his group of guards shall not participate or integrate any disorder, strike, riot, or any serious violations of the law." I'm learning something new each day. It's good to know the law. Sharing my breathwork meditation in case you're like me who needs to get back to zen-mode. Lately, I've let fear, worry, and anxiety creep in my vibrational frequency. I have to remind myself that these lower energy frequencies affect how I feel about anything and everything, ultimately clouding my judgment and choices. The breathwork takes only 5 minutes to do, and you can do this anytime during the day. Here's how to do it: Sit with a straight spine. With the elbows bent, raise the hands until they meet at the level of the heart a few inches from the body, palms facing the chest. Place the palm of the right hand against the back of the left hand. The hands and forearms are parallel to the ground. Press the thumb tips together. The eyes are 9/10ths closed. Inhale deeply through the nose and calmly hold your breath for 15-20 seconds. Exhale completely through the nose and calmly hold your breath out for 15-20 seconds. Concentrate on your breath. 5 minutes I hope you can try it. What a day! I was pretty early for the Barangay meeting this morning. I had all the documents ready, including the geodetic survey conducted in July 2020 and a copy of the original survey done in 1974 from the LRA. The meeting was at 9:30 am, but the complainee arrived at 10:10 am. He also came unprepared. I asked him for some credentials - at least a copy of the title, SPA or a board resolution, or even a business card to ensure that he is the authorized representative. He didn't have anything with him and told me that I was asking a lot from him. The three Lupons who kept calling him 'sir' decided to reset the meeting to next Friday, June 11, since I asked for some credentials and a copy of the title. The meeting will also determine the joint survey date. After the barangay, I drove to my property and discovered that the guards who intimidated my contractor last Saturday, pulled out the concrete markers “mujons”, took down my 'No Trespassing' signs, and removed one of the GI pipes. Swipe 👉🏻. So I took pictures and hung the signs up again. And, of course, I went back to the Barangay Annex office to file a complaint, my third since May 21. I am grateful for all your advice and listening to my saga. I'm exhausted but learning tenacity, grit and a lot of patience from this experience. “Get up stand up, stand up for your rights” as Bob Marley says! I set up signs this beautiful morning. It smelled fresh from last night’s rain and sooo peaceful. I could hear the birds chirpjng and singing. If you swipe right 👉, you'll see no barbed wire or GI pipes to the right or left of the corner poles in the lower part of the property. The six guards had my contractor remove them. They also insisted to remove the corner poles too when they came back at 5pm last Saturday. But it was getting dark and thank God, my contractor and his men decided to go home instead to their families. I was so excited this morning to see the fence almost done and was already planning what fruit trees to plant and where to put bougainvilleas. I left the site around 9:00 am. On the way back to Manila, my contractor called and reported that security guards arrived and asked him to stop working. They were also asking for a copy of my title. I told the contractor to ask them for a copy of theirs and show them the concrete markers indicating the boundary delineation, the property vicinity map, and geodetic survey result. After teaching class, I drove back to the site. The contractor said that six guards came with their OIC and instructed him to remove the GI pipes and build the fence up to the point where they’ve set up their markers, which is 15-meters into my property. I guess they successfully intimidated my contractor because he complied. I filed a complaint and had it entered in the Barangay blotter. The second one in a week. The first complaint was the discovery of the temporary markers inside my property. The meeting for the first complaint is set for Friday in the Barangay office. Please pray for me. I'm sharing my story in case you have experience dealing with encroachers. I would appreciate any advice you can give. Hello from Antipolo! We're entering a new cycle with tonight's Total Lunar Eclipse, Blood Moon, and Supermoon.
