Well, it's been a while.

I last had an active tumblr when I left uni back in 2011. So, why, 11 years later have I returned? Well, its simple. I think. I sort of miss it but also I hate everything else.

I have a "Bookstagram" account but honestly Instagram is becoming too much hard work. Too much relies on reels and all I wanna do is post things about books and share pretty photos. I am way too old for TikTok and who even uses Facebook anymore?

So, this is my tumblr. My place to share and get involved with bookish, musicish, gothicish and all things that I wish had an Emily only edition.

Music has always had a significant effect on my mood. I generally listen to music based on the mood I'm in or the mood I want to be in. Music helped me get through many difficult times including severe depression, breakups, and loss of loved ones. Music has also assisted me in times of great fear afr anxiety. I, for one, dislike driving and am terrified of bridges. Music has allowed me to face my fear of both. Only recently have I really thought about the spiritual significance and implications of music. Several times recently when I have done readings for myself, the card "Connect with Music" has showed up. As I have traveled along this spiritual journey, I have found myself listening to and finding new types of music. When the angels first started to appear to me, I started to do listen to Angel Healing music. When my galactic family has made contact, I found myself listening to Arcturian Healing music. As I learned more about chakras, I began to listen to Aura Cleansing music. When I need to connect with my ancestors, I listen to Native American and African music. When I feel the need to meditate, I listen to and recite Buddhist chants. At this very moment I am listening to a Tibetan singing bowls as the sound of them helps me to relax and gain clarity. In each of these instances, the type of music I listen to has had a profound healing effect on me. There have even been studies done on how music affects plants. I say all of that to say this: Music is healing. Music is medicine. Music is energy. Now go listen to some music!
