I instantly take the "enigma and impatience of the unknown" to begin feeling about the place I arrive at when interacting with American veterans. Recently, I hosted a table at a Veteran's Fair, and I connected with individuals that were willing to sacrifice their life for a cause which they believed in, or were told to follow. Although there is, without needing to say it, a major shadow in regards to our US military, there is so much I am not conscious of in regards to the implications of war- let alone the dehumanizing of other populations who occupy land above resources our nation has needed in order to continue its lifestyle which is easy to argue as excessive and imbalanced.
