Oh lol I just realized something that I just never explicitly mentioned here after taking a hiatus from tumblr and then just coming back like nothing happened:
When I was running this blog back in the day and it was an SPN blog (yeah I know) that slowly shifted into a Star Wars blog, and I was vaguely popular cosplayer, I was pretty well known for the fact that identified as genderqueer and bisexual.
Yeah I went back on my adhd medication and actually was able to focus on the triggers for my dysphoria and what I was feeling for the first time in 10 years and realized I’m a gay man whoops
#concerta done transed my gender#but honestly seriously I came out to my Facebook friends yesterday but it’s something I’ve been feeling for a while now#there’s a whole essay I could write about how I came to this conclusion#that basically I was dating people who were attracted to women and who treated me like a woman sexually#and I get really bad dysphoria from being treated sexually as a woman when I’m presenting more masculine#so basically I’ve been cosplaying as a hot femme AFAB enby for the last 12 years#and not medically transitioning because I was subconsciously afraid of it making me unattractive as a femme#but I have finally come to the conclusion of fuck that I’m a man#who cares if going on t makes me less hot as a girl I’m not a girl I just do drag#starting HRT in December and I’m so excited#I do eventually want top surgery but I honestly don’t have much dysphoria around my chest so I’m fine with waiting till the fat redistributa#redistributes whoops#and I gain some muscle from working out and whatnot#my dysphoria is much more around my hips and my height#also yeah I do still vaguely identify with bisexuality I do sometimes find women hot#but yeah I’ve always been more into men and I’ve always been open about that#ya boy is 29 years old and I’m finally figuring this shit out#lol also love that for the longest time I’m was like ‘I can’t be a man! I’m so feminine!#……..like y’all it never crossed my mind I just might be a fucking faggot 🤣🤣🤣#but hi yeah I’m Jensen and I’m a fruit. he/they please!#concerta transed my gender#adding that tag for my blog sorting transition tracking purposes

I Know I Should Know Better 1
Tumblr media
Pairing: Curtis Everett x Female Reader, minor Colin Shea x Female Reader
Word Count: 2,873
Summary: Curtis has been working as your body guard for almost two years now. Standing by and watching you work and party your life away is becoming more and more difficult, but is there anything he can do about it?
Warnings: Angst, adult themes, minor age difference (not explicit in this part, but reader is mid-twenties and Curtis is early thirties), drinking, sex mention, exhibitionism (from unhappy observer's POV), explicit language, bad boyfriend, self-destructive behavior, anxiety, negative self-talk. The reader's having a bad time, you guys. All of my work is 18+ - Minors DNI
Dividers by @firefly-graphics
Masterlist
A/N: Alright you guys, prepare yourselves for a lot of angst and a sloooow burn. The focus and goal of this story is definitely Curtis x Reader, but as it starts, Colin x Reader is the actual couple. This first part is in Curtis’s pov, but the plan is to alternate povs by chapter.
I hope you love this Curtis as much as I do. If you could let me know what you think with a comment or reblog, I'd appreciate it so much. Thank you for reading, lovelies! 💜
Tumblr media
Curtis hated this job.
The sounds of lewd moans and the repeated banging of a headboard hitting the wall filtered through the bedroom door into the common area of the large hotel suite. The new guy, Jensen, shifted uncomfortably in his chair at the small bar off the kitchenette, his eyes frequently cutting to the bedroom door.
“Just ignore it. It’s none of our business.” Curtis growled from his place at the island.
“Right. Sure,” Jensen nodded and just kept looking towards the room. Curtis rolled his eyes. He’d get used to it.
The stylist and hair and makeup people were already set up in the 2nd bedroom. They’d been due to start 20 minutes ago. Michelle, your assistant, came careening out of that room and stopped dead in the center of the living room, locking eyes with Curtis. “We don’t have time for this!” she pleaded with him.
Curtis sighed and nodded and walked over to the bedroom. He banged on the door three times with the side of his fist bellowing, “Time to get going!” He really hated this job.
“What the fuck???” cried a masculine voice from inside, quickly followed by your own uncontrollable giggles.
Five minutes later, you finally came out dressed in a robe from the hotel, your hair all over the place. A man followed you, dressed only in his boxers. Colin. He’d been around for a few months. He was a rockstar, but in Curtis’s opinion, everyone was using that term loosely. He was in a band that was working on its sophomore album. Curtis only knew this because the guy wouldn't shut up about it. He wasn’t any worse than the other fuck boys you usually dated, but he certainly wasn’t the best of them either. Colin collapsed onto one of the loveseats, legs spread wide, and helped himself to the fresh fruit that was laid out on the coffee table.
“Ok!” you said when you got to the center of the room, hands on your hips, megawatt smile fully on display. It was always so blinding, even when he was annoyed with you, like now. “Where am I needed?”
“Go in there, please!” Michelle pointed. “We’re running so late!”
You just laughed. “Which is why you always build extra time into the schedule. Calm down, we’re fine.”
Curtis walked over to Colin and nudged one of his shoes with his own foot to get his attention. “Get dressed,” he growled. “It’s time for you to go.”
“Oh! He’s coming with us,” you said, just as you disappeared into the room, Michelle right on your heels.
Colin smirked obnoxiously up at him and wiggled his eyebrows. “Yeah,” he said, “I’m coming with you.”
“Fine,” Curtis gritted out. “I assume you’ll be wearing clothes when we leave?”
Colin stood up and slapped him on the shoulder. “Don’t you worry, Curty boy, I’ll get myself all pretty for you” and then went back into the main bedroom.
Curtis ran his hands down his face and stared up at the ceiling as he tried to calm himself. He hated this job. Maybe it was time to get into corporate security. Anything had to be better than this.
As he was thinking, Jensen cleared his throat behind him. “Is it always like this?”
“Yes,” he growled out without turning around, and then went to get an updated ETA from Michelle.
Tumblr media
Curtis had been with you for almost two years now. Your team had brought him on during the stalking incident at the MTV Movie Awards. That situation had luckily been resolved quickly, but he'd stayed on after.
On paper, the job was simple. Keep the house secure. Make sure strangers don't get close enough to touch you. Keep your parents as far away from you as possible. Always know the exits. Easy enough.
And he’d been surprised to find that he actually liked you. Outside of the clubs and parties, the VIP sections and private rooms. When you were easier to imagine as just a normal person. You weren’t as entitled as he’d expected. You worked hard and seemed to want to do a good job, even if you couldn’t keep to a schedule to save your life. Sometimes he felt like the wild streak was just something you put on, an obligation. But that was a ridiculous observation. He just worked for you. He didn’t actually know you.
So it’d been a good job for a while, but at some point the balance between wild child and committed actress started to shift. And with that, the hours got longer, the entourage got bigger, the parties got wilder. The fuck boys got worse. It was taking its toll on him and he wasn’t sure how much longer he could do it.
Tumblr media
Curtis was standing in the green room of the talk show, watching your interview on the large TV mounted on one wall. Tanya, your publicist, stood near him, her arms crossed and brow furrowed as she watched, while Michelle sat on the couch, going through emails, and Colin parked himself in front of the food that had been laid out, now on his third beer.
“She’s stiff,” Tanya remarked to no one in particular.
“Yeah, cause you wouldn’t let her have any of that,” Colin said, gesturing with a piece of meat in his hand to the ice bucket full of alcoholic drinks on the coffee table. Tanya had instituted a strict ‘no substances before interviews’ policy after the last time you’d done Kimmel and the interview had gotten a little too loose.
“She’s doing fine,” Michelle said, without looking up from her computer, but Curtis had to agree with Tanya. You did seem stiff. Uncomfortable. But he knew it had more to do with the current topic than any external factors. They’d dedicated an entire segment to the show you were on as a kid. It’s what made you famous. You never really talked about it. Didn’t seem to like to, but it almost always came up in interviews. Sometimes you laughed through it and it was fine, but other times it was more like what was happening now. He wouldn’t say that he knew or understood you, but he could read you and right now he could see, under your smiles and giggles that would fool anyone who didn’t spend their days watching you, that you were coming apart at the seams. He prepped a text to Jensen, telling him to pull the car around and saved it so all he’d have to do was hit send. Then he just waited for the interminable interview to end, clenching and unclenching his fists as he watched you put all your energy into just getting through it.
Finally the conversation wrapped up and the host threw to a commercial after announcing the next guest. Curtis sent the text, grabbed a bottle of water from the ice bucket, and was already almost through the door and into the hallway when Colin exclaimed, “What the fuck?! She was supposed to mention my tour!”
Curtis was sure there was some sort of reaction to that, but he wasn’t around to see it because you were already coming around the corner, being led by a PA. You locked eyes with him and as soon as you were close enough for him to hear, you whispered, “Get me the fuck out of here.” He nodded and herded you down the hall, around several corners, until you got to a little enclave under a set of stairs with several plush armchairs.
“Jensen’s bringing the car around,” he said gently, handing you the water bottle he’d been holding. “We can go out the back way. But I figured you might want a few minutes by yourself first.” You nodded absently, clutching the bottle of water in both hands. “I’ll leave you alone, but I’ll be just over there if–”
“Can you stay?” you interrupted, gazing up at him with pleading eyes.
Surprised, he asked, “You want me to?”
You nodded again and said softly, “Please.”
“Ok. Of course I’ll stay.”
You just stood there for a moment, gazing down the dark hallway in front of you before you finally said, “I don’t get why they always have to ask about it. It ended over ten years ago. Like, who fucking cares? And the show was shit anyway.”
Curtis just stood and watched you, not sure what you wanted him to say, if anything at all.
“Like, I was a kid. I wasn’t even any good, you know? I’m just so fucking tired of talking about it. I don’t know why anyone wants to talk about it. It’s not like I have any good stories. Nothing good happened.” You seemed to catch yourself there and cut a wary glance to Curtis then shook your head. “I told Tanya that I didn’t want to talk about it anymore. That I wouldn’t answer any more questions. And she said that was ‘unrealistic,’ so here we are.”
Curtis let the silence carry for a moment, making sure you had nothing else to say, then, softly, "I'm really sorry you have to do that. That isn’t fair to you."
You looked up at him at that, something akin to shock on your face and you shook your head at him. “What? No. No, It’s fine. I’m– I’m being dumb. It’s not that big a deal. I’m just being ridiculous. Like always.”
He really hated it when you did that, wormed your way in and made him feel deep, unrelenting empathy for you. It’d been happening more and more often lately. He needed to get out. “I don’t think you’re being ridiculous.”
You just stared at him for several moments and for the first time in ages, he couldn’t read what was on your face. Finally, you shook yourself out of whatever had been happening and said, “We should really get going, shouldn’t we? Can we go? I’m just making everyone wait, like usual."
His hands itched to reach out to you, touch you, but you didn't need that right now. Maybe not ever. Not from him. So instead he nodded and said, "Yeah, we can go," letting Jensen and Michelle know you were on your way.
Tumblr media
"You're such a fucking asshole!" you yelled in the alley behind a club in West Hollywood, hours later. You were drunk. Very drunk. Curtis really hated this job.
"I didn't do anything!" Colin threw his arms up in exasperation.
"She was in your fucking lap!"
Curtis was standing by the door for now, hoping he wouldn't have to hold you back. Or, he thought, as he watched you sway dangerously, hold you up.
“She just sat down. What was I supposed to do? Push her off?”
“You certainly weren’t supposed to put your arms around her!” You were getting really worked up now and Curtis readied himself to intervene. Jensen was supposed to be bringing the car. Where the fuck was he?
“I was being nice to a fan!” Colin shouted when Curtis saw a light out of the corner of his eye at the mouth of the alley. When he turned to look, there was a man standing there with his phone out. Shit.
He walked along the wall of the building, trying not to draw attention to himself. Luckily you and Colin were providing plenty of distraction so he was able to get close and snatch the phone away before the man noticed him there.
“Hey!” he shouted. “That’s my personal property! You can’t do that.”
“Uh huh,” Curtis said as he stopped and permanently deleted the current video and went back into the man’s photos to check for anything else. There were two more videos and a smattering of pictures. He’d gotten the whole fight. You did not need that all over the internet tomorrow. He deleted it all and then handed the phone back to the man who’d been yelling and swearing the whole time. Curtis pulled himself up to his full height and loomed over him, then said, “I better not see you again. You have a good night.” He glared and waited for the man to back down and walk away then headed back to you. You and Colin were still screaming at each other, but the topic seemed to have shifted.
“You’re so fucking selfish, you know that?” Colin yelled at you. “I ask for one thing and you can’t even do that.”
“It was my job! I was there to promote my movie, not your failing tour!”
“You’re a fucking bitch,” Colin said, as Jensen finally pulled up in the SUV. Thank god, because every muscle in Curtis’s body wanted to lay the asshole out flat, and if he’d had to wait one more moment for the car, he might have.
“Hey!” Curtis yelled. “That’s enough!” he said to Colin and then turned to you. “Are you ok?” You nodded, but brushed a tear away. Fucking asshole. Keeping his eyes on you he asked, “We’re going now. Is he coming with us?”
“No!” you snarled. “Definitely not.” He nodded and opened the back door of the car.
“You’re just going to leave me here?” Colin pouted. “What the hell am I supposed to do?”
“I don’t care!” You yelled over your shoulder as you got in the car. “Get a goddamn Uber!”
Curtis was about to check in with you one more time, but you’d already slid to the other side of the car and were now staring out the window, so he shut the door and got into the front seat with Jensen.
Tumblr media
You were quiet on the hour long drive back to your house. Curtis looked back frequently to make sure you hadn’t passed out, but you were just staring out the window as the city zoomed by. He let you be while he conversed softly with Jensen about the rest of the night and the agenda for tomorrow.
When they got to your house and Curtis opened the car door for you, you looked up at him, surprised. “Hey,” he said quietly, “we’re here.”
You didn’t really respond, just kept looking at him for a few minutes. Then your gaze shifted to your back door and your lip quivered. “You’re coming in, right?”
He stifled a sigh. He was really hoping he’d be able to get away with just dropping you off tonight, maybe doing a quick walk-through to convince you all was well and then finally taking off. It’d been such a long day. But instead, he nodded. “Yeah, I’m coming in.”
Jensen poked his head out the driver’s side window as Curtis helped you out. “Do you want me to wait?” he asked.
Curtis shook his head. “No, it’s late. You go ahead and put the car away and take off. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Jensen nodded and gave him a quick wave.
Curtis guided you inside and turned on the lights. He checked your security panel to make sure everything was as it should be and then guided you to the kitchen. “You want something to eat?” he asked and you nodded. He wasn’t used to you being this quiet and it was throwing him off.
He went to the fridge and pulled out one of the dinners your housekeeper had left for you. He threw it in your microwave and then grabbed you a glass of water.
“I’m so tired,” you said.
“I know,” he said, “you can eat this and then go right to bed.”
“No,” you shook your head, “that’s not–” You frowned but didn’t say anything else, just placidly looked around yourself.
The microwave beeped and he took your food out, putting the dish and a fork in front of you.
Staring into your living room, you said, “I kind of hate this house.”
He had no idea what to say to that. He looked through your open plan first floor. Everything was gray and glass. Fresh flowers on multiple surfaces made it seem slightly less empty, but he’d always thought it felt cold. Cavernous. “You could move.”
You just hummed and turned to your food. You ate a few bites and drank some water. Just as he was gearing up to tell you goodnight and get out of there, you looked him dead in the eye and said “I think you might be the only person who actually cares what I want.”
The shock that flooded his system must have registered on his face, because you immediately started backpedaling. “Sorry. I’m sorry. I’m so out of it. Just ignore me. I’m fine. Just ignore me.” He whispered your name and you shook your head. “No, you’re right. I should go to bed. I’m sorry. Goodnight Curtis.” And with that you got up and went upstairs to your bedroom, leaving him dumbfounded, standing alone in the middle of your kitchen.
After a few minutes he pulled himself together, put your leftovers in the fridge and your glass in the dishwasher. He turned off all the lights and let himself out.
He paused on your step and leaned his head against your door.
He really fucking hated this job.
But he knew he’d never be able to quit.

Rewatching Sin City
Welcome to “Jensen’s Stupid-Good Acting, Jared’s Fantastic Befuddled Face, and a PSA on Hurricanes: A Supernatural Rewatch Blog” with Lor and Mace!
 Up today, s3e4: Sin City
Sam and Dean investigate a town that has recently turned into a hotbed of vice. They figure it must be a case of demon possession—or a case of multiple demon possessions—but the more they investigate, the less it seems any of the folks who’ve suddenly turned murderous or suicidal or what-have-you is possessed. Eventually the boys figure out that there are demons involved, but only two, and all they really did was start nudging people toward their bad sides. No possession needed. It’s another case of humans humaning at their worst, for the most part. The boys take out the demons and hope for the best. Along the way we meet an old hunting buddy of Dean’s and watch Dean have a heart-to-heart with one of the demons about his impending trip to Hell and whether it scares him. Spoiler alert: it does, but he’s clinging to pretending it don’t.
Below is a log of our real-time reactions as we watched. Remember that there may be spoilers for any part of SPN’s 15-season run here. Note also that the nature of our conversation is adult and thus it may contain adult language and themes.

 Mace:
 YES HE IS
  Lor:

 Mace:
 YAAASSS
  Lor:
I get so caught up in "oh god Dean's gonna go to hell" that I forget that there's all this "is Sam really out of the woods of becoming the boy king of hell" stuff going on
  Mace:
Right?! So much happening

Can you do a supernatural cast series where you’re the wife and you do different interviews, like the videos on YouTube like Ad or thirst tweets or just answering fan questions whatever plz. If you have questions just message me and I’ll try to explain it further
Lol sorry it’s been like four months so don’t hate me but it’s been hard work juggling trying to write, school and work so sorry. I think it sucks but hopefully you’ll like it and I’ll be tagging the other parts in this one
Burning Fan Questions
Tumblr media
Other parts
Alexander Calvert
Misha Collins
Jensen Ackles
"Hi I'm Yn Padalecki and I will be answer the fans burning questions about my life" I say smiling at the camera as I grab the bucket that's full of questions.
"I'm super nervous for this because before I got here Jared double dog dared me to answer literally every single question so I can't use my skip button" I say and the crew behind the camera laughs.
"Please for the love of god let their be questions to embarrass Jared more than me so he can eat it" I say giggling.
"First question" I say grabbing a folded up piece of paper from out the bucket.
"Who is the rudest celebrity that you've ever had the chance of meeting?" I read and I laugh.
"Oh that's a lot of them, there's an unsurprising amount of rude celebrities who think that they own Hollywood" I say laughing.
"But enough stalling because I have to answer this question anyway, the rudest celebrity that I've ever met was Christian Bale, no offense but he was a total dick to literally everyone around him, on set, off of set just everywhere" I say digging around the bucket for another question.
"What scandals has your team had to cover up?" I read and I start laughing.
"Noooooo" I say laughing even harder because I know I have to tell them.
"Okay okay. When I was 23 I had first met Jared and we got caught you know doing the deed and then the pictures were about to go out and they had to buy all of them back for double of what they were going to get" I say laughing shaking the bucket up and grabbing another one out.
"Have you ever used your celebrity status to get something for free?" I read.
"One time when I was out my daughter, Harlow we were getting frozen yogurt and I left my credit card at the restaurant we were at before without realizing it and at the register she goes oh my god are you Jared from supernatural's wife and when I'm with my daughters I usually pretend like I'm not but I totally knew she was going to give us the yogurt for free so I was like yeah, and then I asked her how she was and she was like oh this is totally on the house" I say laughing.
"I eventually went back and tipped a massive tip because I didn't pay last time" I say.
I grab another one out and I put the bucket down opening it "how many kids do you actually want?" I read.
"Well I already have two now but I'm aiming for at least five" I say laughing.
"I have a big family I'm one of 9 so I've always wanted a big family but not as big as mine so four or five would be a perfect size family for me, I honestly have a enough love for a million but four or five is definitely good for me" I say grabbing another question.
"If we came to your house what would we find in your cabinets food wise?" I read laughing.
"What an interesting question" I say.
"Everyone in the Padalecki household has their own cabinets because they are huge smackers. Harlow's is filled with the stuff she likes such as teddy Grahams, fruit roll ups, dried Cranberries, jolly ranchers stuff like that. Mine is filled with little cakes, gushers, banana chips which I swear by, peanuts, popcorn and Jared's, he has tons of candy, he is absolutely in love with white chocolate macadamia cookies and he always has those in his stash and Kiernan she's still on baby food so she's fully stocked on that" I say grabbing another question out.
"If you had to marry anyone that has starred along side your husband in his show supernatural who would it be?" I read.
"Oh hmm" I say laughing.
"Okay, Jensen is like Jared's best friend but I'm way closer to Misha so I'd definitely have to say Misha but no offense to his wife because I'd totally marry her as well or maybe even Rob, I love that man to pieces, he's a really good friend but then there's Rich, no offense to his wife Jaci but Rich and I have the best dance off's so that would be something to look forward to" I say laughing as I grab another question.
"If you woke up in Jared's body and had to stay in it for a day what would you do?" I say laughing.
"Easy, I'd leave myself little notes with plans for tomorrow so when I switch back he'll have to go through with them and we could have a perfectly planned out day because I planned it" I say laughing.
"If you go out to dinner with your non-famous friends, do you all still split the bill or do you pay?" I read.
"It depends really, my childhood friends don't like for me to pay for their stuff so we'll all split the bill but if I'm the one inviting everyone out then I'll pay before hand because then it'll be a lot of work trying to break it up" I say grabbing another question.
"What's one thing that Jared does that absolutely pisses you off?" I read cracking up.
"Breathes" I say smiling at the camera.
"I'm just kidding" I say laughing.
"When I'm super busy and like concentrating on my work he'll come over and innocently wrap his arms around me but then when I'm not paying him enough attention he'll start softly biting me and while I'm trying to work that can be so annoying" I say.
"What was the worst rumor that has been spread about you?" I read.
"I've had some pretty bad ones that I like to pretend didn't happen because they were literally so outrageous but I guess the worst one was that I was cheating on Jared. A few years back Harlow and I flew to my hometown for a few weeks and we spent Halloween out there and my twin sister and I dressed up as Sally from nightmare before Christmas because we've always done matching costumes whenever we're with each other and I posted a selfie on Instagram so everyone knew what I looked like but no one knew my twin sister was dressed identical to me and she took Harlow around with her now husband while I helped my parents be set up for the party and the paparazzi caught them together while they shared a kiss and while Eric played with Harlow and she was giggling and they put the photos on the front of the magazine and I was getting so much hate before I even knew what was going on and I was getting calls from our friends and they were asking me like how I could do that and then I had to go and post my pictures with my sister and write this long ass message about it and it was super bad" I say moving on.
"Who do you look up to the most, and what qualities do you love about that person?" I read.
"My grandma, she pretty much raised me. My parents weren't around often so I had to live with her for like 5 years, me and all of my siblings" I say digging in the bucket.
"But the qualities that I love about her is one, the fact that she is the strongest person I've had the honor of meeting" I say holding up one finger.
"Two, her boldness is like unbelievable. I took her to the oscars and she started flirting with The Rock and that's when I realized my grandma was my hero" I say laughing and I pull another question out.
"What's something you did as a child that no one knows about outside of your family?" I read.
"For two years I only spoke in a British accent, I had everyone confused at school because I never broke" I say laughing.
"How often do you and Jared have sex?" I read burying my face.
"No, I'm not going to be embarrassed. Sex is a normal thing, it brings about joy, relaxation, sometimes accidental pregnancies" I say laughing.
"But back to the question, I don't know. He's gone for like nine months out of the year but if he has a three day weekend or whatever then we'll spend a night together but when he's home in the three months he's off of filming it's literally whenever the kids are gone if even just for 20 minutes. We try to keep it as normal as possible" I say laughing.
"What's the last text conversation you had?" I read pulling out my phone and I laugh.
"I texted Robert about his new Batman movie because it was announced the other day and I just seen it this morning so I had to quickly congratulate him and he tells me that while I'm super late he still appreciates it and won't hold anything against me when it's time to hand out movie tickets and I said I'd never forgot about you shiny and he sent the middle finger emoji" I say laughing.
"What are your pet names that you and Jared have for each other?" I read.
"Ha, finally a question that he'd normally not talk about but I was dared so I call him Bubba or bubs" I say laughing.
"Literally it's how he's saved in my phone and he thinks it's so embarrassing" I say pulling my phone out and showing his contact name and photo.
"He's Bubba and he calls me a lot of different things but the one he always goes back to is beautiful or baby" I say smiling at the camera.
“Do your siblings and Jared get along?” I read and I laugh sighing.
“Like I mentioned earlier I’m one of nine so that’s eight siblings and then all of my siblings are older than me. I’m the baby and they are all married so my older brother and his husband love Jared and Jared loves them, we’re actually both of their kids godparents but then with my third oldest sister she doesn’t like me so she doesn’t like Jared by default you know” I say grabbing another question.
“Okay this is a question I have to know how often you do and Jared shower together?” I read laughing.
“Do you have to know that?” I ask laughing harder.
“Sorry to let you down but we don’t really, we’ll not anymore with kids it’s best one of us is out the shower while the other one quickly showers because we can’t leave them along for too long” I say knowing that my answer is not what they were expecting.
“But before kids it’s was an every morning thing we did together before heading out for our different business or whatever we had to do that day” I say.
“Did you have an oh shit moment at your wedding, and if so what was it?” I read and I nod.
“Yeah actually I did. But it’s been so long since we got married that I actually forgot until I read this question. My brother bless his poor heart showed up drunk like he was pregaming our wedding and the security didn’t know he was my brother so they were like kicking him out and my sister runs in like “oh my god Yn, the security just kicked Kalin out” so I’m like half dressed and I go down to try to figure out what the hell is happening and then I meet up with him and he throws up all over me like I’m talking full body covered and the make up artist just left and I had to shower and call her back so she could come fix my face and it was very traumatizing because it was so gross” I say laughing.
“But the whole wedding was beautiful and he didn’t drink at all” I say.
“If you had to pick a song from the late 10’s-2020 to be you and Jared’s couple song what would you pick?” I read and I awe.
“That’s a cute question. I guess I’d have to say Flicker by Niall Horan, we danced together to that song when Alex Calvert and his wife got married and it literally felt so magical and now whenever I hear it, it takes me back to a happy place and I just think about slow dancing with my best friend and husband” I say smiling.
“Do you and all the wives of the supernatural cast get along?” I read and I quickly nod.
“Those girls are some of my best friends, they know what it’s like to have a family and their husband work on supernatural so automatically we have something to bond over also with Alex’s wife she has a massive family so we often talk about the drama and problems that come along with it” I say laughing.
"Last one. What celebrity have you had beef with?" I read laughing.
"Daniel Radcliffe" I say quickly.
"But it was when we were younger filming the Harry Potter movies. We didn't like each other for like the first 4 movies" I say laughing.
"Our characters were close in the movie but on set we hated each other, I don't know why and I don't think he does either, I guess our energies just clashed but when we got to order of the Phoenix and we talked it out before we started filming and have been best friends in person ever since" I say laughing and tipping the bucket over.
"That was my last question. I'm Yn Padalecki and this has been answering fan questions. Thank you for watching and I hope you got a laugh out of at least some of these questions or you learned something you never thought you would learn about me" I say smiling at the camera

The sun was malicious as it beat down on the small Austin country club. It was normally packed on beautiful Sundays and this one was no different. Jensen was cruising down a hill in his golf cart, one of his old high school buddies riding shotgun as they played a full eighteen. It felt nice to get out and do something again for a change. It had been so long since he had any free time, seeing as he was between projects right now, and he wanted to soak up all of it before the next one came along.
He slowed the cart down as they reached their hole, putting it in park on the flat grassland. He hopped out of the cart and searched his bag for a putter.
“I don’t understand how you keep beating me. I’ve been practicing for months.” His buddy laughed, Jensen joining in along with him. He opened his mouth to comment, only for another voice to pipe up first.
“Yeah, he always was the one to beat.” Jensen tensed as he recognised the familiar voice coming up to him and his friend. Jared was alone as he approached the men, but he was smiling brightly. Confusion was evident on Jensen’s face as he tried to determine what was happening.
“Hey, Jared, good to see you again bud.” Jensen’s friend held out his hand for Jared to shake.
“Likewise.” He nodded before turning his attention back to Jensen. “It’s good to see you too, man.” Jared pulled Jensen in for a hug, stunning his fellow actor before he returned the sentiment.
“Can I talk to you?” Jared pointed his thumb behind him, indicating to Jensen that he wanted to talk in private.
“Uh, sure.” Jensen was hesitant. He wasn’t sure what Jared was playing at yet. Especially considering the last time they talked outside of work, they were in a screaming match. But he followed him a little way away from the cart nonetheless.
“What’s up?”
“I figured you’d be here today.” Jared started.
“So are you following me?”
Jared laughed. “No, no nothing like that.”
“Then what is it?”
“It’s... well it’s about Y/n.” Jared ran a hand through his hair, pushing the long locks out of his face. He had a smile on his face, but Jensen could read the pain that hid behind it.
“Jared…”
“No, just listen. I want you to know, I’m sorry. I fucked up, okay? I was selfish and stupid and I should have seen it sooner. I guess I couldn’t believe that you weren’t just using her to pass the time because it was easy.” Jared admitted. “And I hate myself for ever thinking that. I know you better than that. I think it was just my protective older brother coming out. You know she hasn’t had the best track record with guys, and I just couldn’t see past that for some reason.” Jared sighed. “You two, well, you guys are actually pretty perfect for each other, no matter how weird I may feel about that. And I’ll be honest, I do still feel weird. But I’m working on it.”
Jensen sighed, rubbing his hand across the full beard that adorned his face. “That’s great Jared, really I’m glad, but I think it’s a little late.”
“Why do you say that?”
“Y/n doesn’t want anything to do with me. I hurt her. I took back every promise I made to her. I don’t deserve her forgiveness anyway.” Jensen didn’t go into specifics, Jared would get the picture with what little he had offered.
“Yeah, she is hurting. She’s hurting something fierce. I’ve honestly never seen her this way and it scares me. I overheard her tell Gen she is thinking of selling her business and moving to New York. Got some big offer from a huge beauty conglomerate. Didn’t even feel like she could tell me about it either.” Jared explained. Jensen’s head snapped up, his brows coming together on his forehead.
“No, Y/n would never do that.”
“That’s what I thought too. But she’s been offered some huge deal to sell her shares and be a VP for this new company. And she is seriously thinking of accepting it.” Jensen adjusted the ball cap on top of his head.
“Why would she do that?” Jensen’s words came out in a sigh.
“Do you really have to ask that question?” Jared put a hand on his hip when Jensen scoffed at him.
“Come on, you can’t put that on me.”
“I’m not blaming you, I swear. Y/n is hurting though, and I don’t think that anyone else will be able to talk her out of it.” Jared said honestly.
“So that’s why you’re really here, to beg me to convince your sister to not run away because of me.” Jensen rolled his tongue behind his teeth, biting back the urge to yell. That would never get him anywhere.
“I meant what I said. I am sorry. But I also know that she won’t listen to me. She may however, listen to you.” Jared jumped to the defensive the second the angry words left Jensen’s mouth. “Look, I’m not saying you two should pick up things where you left them, not that I would care either way, but she loves you in a way that I have never seen before, and that has to count for something.”
“It did, at one point. Now, I’m not so sure.” Jared frowned at his friend. In one way, he did need his help, but at the same time he understood his hesitancy. They didn’t have the greatest history where his sister was concerned.
“Just let me get you two in the same room. Then we can let it happen naturally. What do you say?” What could Jensen say to that. As much as he was hesitant about tricking her into something, he didn’t want her to go. Danneel’s words had been haunting him since he had returned from LA. Jensen had been on the fence about whether he should take her advice and go after the woman he loved, and if he let her run off to New York, he may never get his chance. Y/n deserved to have all the facts before she made such a huge decision. She needed to know that he wouldn’t let her go without a fight.
“Ok, Jare.”
****
Gen’s words were still ringing in her head as she carried her tired body up the stairs to her apartment. Having babysat the three littlest Padalecki’s for the night, she was more exhausted than she had been in a while. She had forgotten how wild they could get sometimes, and she just had to be the fun aunt and cave when they begged for cookies. Three kids hopped up on sugar was, in hindsight, a bad idea.
In the end, she was thankful for her time with family. Being able to spend real time with them had what Gen said to her affecting her more than she thought it would. She had all but made up her mind about going to New York, but the more she thought about it, the more the idea actually scared her. It was a big step to take, and she still had at least one more person to talk to before she called Mr. Baltussen back.
The next morning, when she rolled out of bed, the sun was already high in the sky. She had slept far past her normal time, but for the first time in a while, she felt rested. Maybe it had to do with her plans for today. Or maybe she had truly needed to exhaust her body in order to get a truly restful sleep. Either way, she saw it as a bright sign. It was her reason to keep moving forward.
Seeing as she slept in a little later than normal, she had to make quick work of showering and getting dressed before her appointment. Y/n plucked her favorite pair of converse from the stand near her front door and plopped down on her couch to put them on. As her weight settled in the middle of the couch she felt something bump her hip. She turned, her brow scrunched together on her forehead to find her laptop falling into her hip.
“Seriously,” she huffed to herself. After all the time she spent looking yesterday, it had been on her couch all along. She could have sworn she checked the cushions, but apparently not as well as she thought. Y/n picked up the device and set it on the coffee table so she would be sure of where it was later, before bouncing out the door.
Nothing had changed about the small office she once again found herself in. The walls were still the same soft shade of green she used love some time ago. They still held the same paintings and the plants that had once threatened to overtake the room were still alive and strong. Even the couch that she had hated sitting at was still full of accent pillows that tossed a splash of color into the otherwise neutral room.
Y/n took a deep breath, allowing the essentials oils diffused into the space to ground her. It was like she had never left, and there was nothing she was more thankful for at this moment. When Gen had said she should talk to someone, she didn’t know Y/n had already scheduled this appointment. She had fallen so far from being a reasonably functioning human being. Just seeing Jensen and Danneel together and admitting out loud she wanted to sell her business, had sent her into a tailspin. Y/n had reached her breaking point, and she wasn’t hesitant to admit that she needed help.
“Please, take a seat.” Dr. Hawkins stood up from her place behind her desk as Y/n entered, picking up her notepad and taking a seat in the armchair across from the couch. Y/n complied to her request, making herself comfortable on the soft furniture.
“It’s been a while since we talked last. Where do you want to start?” Y/n bit her lip as she contemplated her choices. It truly had been a long time since she had been to see her therapist, and with everything that had happened in her life, she could build her way up or just jump right into things. “How about we start with work?” Dr. Hawkins suggested after a moment of silence.
“Work is hectic. Things are really hitting off, not to mention I just spent the last few months juggling my business and working on set with my brother.” Y/n fidgeted in her seat, a movement that did not go unnoticed by Dr. Hawkins.
“Yeah, and how did that go?”
“Not at all how I expected.” Y/n was gnawing on her lip again. She wasn’t sure why she was hesitant to talk. After all, that was the whole reason she was here in the first place. Hell, she might as well just jump right into it. Y/n took a deep breath. “Long story short, I slept with Jared’s best friend slash co-star slash guy he considered his brother. All behind his back, for months.”
“And why do you think you did that?” Y/n scoffed. She should have seen that question coming, she just expected more of a reaction.
“Because I’m an idiot. Because the guy made me feel safe, and beautiful, and loved. I think I was lonely after clashing with my mother at Christmas about my dating life and also being stood up. He fed me every line I wanted to hear and for some reason I believed him.”
“What makes you think he was lying to you?”
“He told me he was all in. That he loved me and wanted to be with just me. He said it wasn’t just about the sex. But then Jared found out and things got bad. Jared punched him and wouldn’t talk to either of us. For weeks.” Tears were brimming in her eyes. Recounting everything was harder than she thought it was going to be. Admitting it out loud to another person broke her out of whatever bubble she had put herself into. It all sounded so ridiculous coming out of her mouth. “When things got tough he just bailed.”
“What exactly did he say to you?” Dr. Hawkins pushed.
“He said that we ‘all needed a break’.” Y/n made air quotes with her fingers. “His reasoning was that he wanted to give me my brother back and he knew I could live without without Jared.”
“Was he wrong?”
“You know me. Family is everything to me. He just failed to see that I can’t live without him either.” It was hard for her to admit that out loud. After all, she had promised herself that a man would not define her life. Yet here she was, a broken shell of a woman because Jensen left her. It was a constant battle inside her head, a seesaw bouncing back and forth against her skull. Most days it was just exhausting.
“To me, it sounds like he didn’t lie to you. He may not have gone about things exactly like you wanted, but that doesn’t mean that he was ever insincere with you.”
“What about me seeing him with his ex fiance all over the media? He told me he was over her, but they are out in L.A. together having dinner.”
Dr. Hawkin’s lips curled up in a small smile. “Are they still friends?”
“Not that I know of. I mean, she was at his birthday party a few months ago.”
“So what is to say it wasn’t just two friends getting together? Who says it had to be romantic? Was there any indication they were intimate?” Oh, she was good. Y/n scrunched her nose up, shaking her head. Of course her broken heart had soaked up what the media had fed her to fuel its own story on things.
“You know, I understand now when people call therapists ‘common sense filters’.” Dr. Hawkins chuckled along with the messed up woman across from her.
“So, let’s say that he truly did love you. Perhaps his leaving hurt him just as much as it hurt you. Maybe he needed a friend to talk to? Isn’t that why you are here, to talk to somebody?”
“Yeah.”
“And did you patch things up with your brother?”
“We are working through things.”
“It sounds to me that he made the right choice.”
Y/n bit back the tears. “And me and him? Where does that leave us?”
“Do you forgive him?” Y/n nodded. Of course she forgave him. She would be lying if she said she didn’t. Somewhere deep down, even as pathetic as it sounds, she forgave him the minute her and Jared started talking again. “Then as cliché as it sounds, if it is meant to be, you’ll find your way back to each other.”
“You’re right, that does sound cliché.” Both women laughed, the moment lifting from Y/n’s shoulders.
“You know, it is okay to mourn your loss. Because that’s what this was. It was a loss, Y/n. All that matters is that you don’t let that grief run your life. And that’s something I tell all my mourning patients. You are a strong and smart woman. I know you’ll get through this.” Dr. Hawkins pushed away her notepad, her full attention on Y/n.
“Yeah, I see that now.” Y/n smiled, allowing more of the weight on her shoulders to dissipate. Right now, she was kicking herself for not coming back sooner. But that’s what happens, life gets in the way sometimes. What matters now is that she found her way back. Her way back to Austin, to her family. And she would find her way back to happiness, even if it isn’t in the way she expects. More than that, she would find peace.

I stopped in front of the Stage One door, looking up at the massive building in front of me. The last month had led up to this very day. I was hired on by Warner Brothers to be the Personal Assistant to Jared Padalecki while he filmed in Vancouver. Even though being a PA was a horrible job, working on the set of my favorite TV show was a dream. I had spent my days leading up to my moving to Vancouver training my inner fangirl to be a normal human being.
“Remember they eat, breath, poop just like any other human.” I whispered to myself on the plane ride from my hometown.
“Girl, please! They are sculpted from marble by the hand of God himself. Just don’t embarrass us in front of them. Make a good impression!” She commanded as if I had any control over that.
Now, standing in front of the main sound stage, my stomach coiled into an anxious knot. Trembling I took a step forward through the door and found myself looking into the Men of Letters Bunker. My inner fangirl squealed with delight urging my body to walk through the set.
“Can I help you?” A tall, dark haired man stood with a camera rig around his waist.
I cleared my throat of the large lump forming within it, “Yeah, my name is (Y/N) and it’s my first day as a PA. The studio told me to go to Stage One when I arrived this morning.”
He smiled a soft chuckle coming from his chest, “Oh you must be Jared’s new wrangler. Here I will show you where to go.”
I followed him to a small office building that had on site office staff and writers housed. He pointed me in the direction of Susan, the executive assistant to Jim Michaels. She was on the phone as she waved me into her office. Standing off to the side was another woman with long, wavy blonde hair. Her fit body was covered by a simple pair of dark jeans, soft chocolate sweater and black knee high boots.
She stuck her hand out towards me, “Hi, I’m Ash. You must be Jared’s new PA.”
Shaking her hand I nodded, “I’m (Y/N).”
“I’m so excited you’re here. Now I don’t have to keep my eyes on both of them. I’m Jensen’s PA so you’ll be hanging with me quite a bit.”
Susan ended her call smiling up at the both of us, “Fantastic, you’re here! I will go with you to meet Jared and then you can shadow Ash for this week. How did your move go?”
“As well as could be expected moving from Kansas to Vancouver. My apartment is amazing.” It was the truth. The apartment Warner Brothers provided was twice the size of the one I had in Kansas.
Ash chuckled, “Yeah it’s nice until you have two Texans crashing your place at all hours.”
My eyes must have widened because both ladies began to laugh, “I haven’t told anyone that you are a fan, (Y/N).”
“Oh… yeah…” I felt my cheeks burning and my inner fangirl was doing cartwheels.
“We’ll keep that between us for now. Jensen and Jared will eat you alive if they found out that juicy piece of information.” Ash chuckled as I noticed Susan flinch slightly.
They led me back towards the row of trailers, the first of which, they stopped and knocked on the door. My heart was beating against my chest and my hands began to shake as the door opened. There stood Jared Padalecki in all his 6’4” glory. His chestnut hair damp from a shower, his light gray t-shirt clinging to his sculpted body and the waistband of his boxers peeking out from his low hanging jeans.
I sucked in a shaky breath making Ash chuckled beside me
“Jared this is your new PA, (Y/N). Be nice.” Susan warned, narrowing her eyes at him.
His laughter echoed around them, “I’m always nice. It’s great to meet you (Y/N). Susan and Jim have told me great things about you. Hopefully, we’ll be great friends.” He held out his hand to me.
When I placed mine in his, the heat coming off of it surprised me. The corner of his lips curling upward into a sly smirk. His hazel eyes caught my attention as flecks of emerald and sapphire seemed to shine. He let go of her hand taking a step towards Ash then leaning down to kiss her kiss.
“Now I see why you needed a new PA.” I mentioned as they both smiled at me, “I look forward to working and getting to know you.”
“Me as well. Are you taking her to meet grumpy pants?” Jared looked at Susan who brow was furrowed at the interaction.
Ash groaned, “Oh no, I thought after last night he would be in a better mood.”
Looking from Susan to Ash it seemed everyone was in on the secret except me, “I’m sure we don’t need to bother him before filming. I can always meet him another time.”
“I’ll take her over to meet him. I need to check in with him anyway and it will be a good experience for her.” Ash reached up giving Jared a quick kiss then stepping away from him.
“I think you have this under control, so if you need anything (Y/N) just come to my office. Please check in with me when you’re done with your day.” Susan did not wait for a reply and walked back towards the offices.
Jared chuckled, “You’d think after all this time that she would be used to us. Ugh!” Ash smacked him in the stomach giving him a stern look.
“Come on (Y/N), let’s go meet Jensen.” Ash and I waved goodbye to Jared.
We walked a couple of trailers down and again my heart began to race. I tried taking a few deep breaths to calm down but the moment she knocked on the door all the air in my lungs vanished. The door opened and Jensen Ackles looked down at us.
“Ash, why so early?” His velvet voice sent shivers down my body.
A slight breeze blew past us and his lean body went rigid. His bright olive eyes darkened to a deep forest green. His fists were clenched at his sides and I could see his arms trembling. Jensen narrowed his menacing gaze at me freezing me in place.
“Go. Away. Now.” He seethed going back into his trailer and slamming the door.
Wide eyed and stunned, I turned to Ash who was looking perplexed, “(Y/N) why don’t you go to craft services. Tell them you want Jared’s usually breakfast and bring it back to his trailer. I will meet you there.”
“O-Okay.”
Ash directed me to where craft services were and the wonderful owners started chuckling when I asked for Jared’s usual. I carefully balanced three cups of coffee atop of three styrofoam containers filled to the brim with eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, muffins and a small cup of fruit. Before I could knock, Ash opened the door to let me inside.
“Great job! My first day, I spilled the coffee.” Ash began to open the containers taking some food for herself and one of the coffees.
She handed another one to me with a soft smile, “Where’s Jared?”
“He’ll be back. He’s having a heart to heart with Jensen. For today, I would just stay clear of him.” I nodded sipping my coffee as Jared came back in frowning.
The morning and afternoon flew by as the guys began filming. Taking Ash’s advice, I made sure to stay out of Jensen’s way and even his line of sight. Not that it mattered because he was permanently in a foul mood for the day. Finally, around six o’clock Ash sent me to see Susan saying she could handle the rest of the evening filming.
Making my way to the offices, I had not seen Jensen for a while and as I made my way to Susan’s office I could hear his velvet voice coming from Jim Michaels’ office.
“She has to go.” He hissed, my heart dropping to my stomach.
There was a long sigh, “She comes highly recommended and honestly she is over qualified to even be a PA. She’s smart, talented and in need of getting her foot in the door. You better than anyone know that starts from the lower level. Did she do something or see something?”
Jensen let out a dark chuckle, “She hasn’t seen anything. She seems naive.”
“Then what’s the problem Jensen?”
There was a long pause before he answered, “She exists, that's the problem.”
I had heard enough and walked towards Susan’s door knocking before entering her office. She was packing up for the day when she looked up smiling at me, “How’d it go?”
I put on my best smile, “Jared and Ash are great. Even Misha behaved himself.”
“Jensen?” She inquired looking as if she were trying to see under my mask.
I squared my shoulders back determined to make this work, “Fine. I know my place and will keep my distance. He’s not who I have to worry about, so all that matters is how I keep Jared on time and in line.”
Susan seemed impressed by my answer then pulled out a manila envelope from her briefcase, “Legal didn’t have this drawn up at the time of your hiring. You will need to read this over and sign it by tomorrow morning.”
I took it from her, “Of course. I will have it for you first thing in the morning. Have a good night.”
Walking out of her office, I made sure Jensen was nowhere in sight. Feeling confident he was gone, I made my way towards my car. Looking down towards the ground as I walked past the row of trailers, I did not notice the black SUV behind me. The honk startled me as I tripped over my own feet landing firmly on my ass.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you. Just needed you to move over a little.” I recognized the driver as Jared and Jensen’s bodyguard/driver, Clif.
The back window slid down as I stood up and Jensen’s dark eyes pierced through me. As they began to pull away I swore I heard a low hiss coming from him. I hurried to my car and drove off the lot as fast as I could. It was not until I was on the highway that my fired nerves finally started to calm down. I knew there was nothing special about me but having my favorite actor despise me sapped all hope out of my heart.
Once I was parked in my spot at my apartment building, I was standing at the elevator when the doors slid open revealing once again the gorgeous man who seemingly hated me.
“Are you following me?” He asked, walking directly at me glaring.
I stepped back, “No I-I’m not. The studio is renting an apartment for me here. I h-had no idea you lived here until Ash mentioned it this morning.”
He ran his hand over his sandy, brown hair, “Why did you take this job?”
His question took me by surprise for a moment, deciding honesty was the best policy, “I wanted to be a part of my favorite show and I wanted to learn more about the business. No better way than to start at ground level and work my way up.”
“Favorite show, huh? So, you like monsters?” He chuckled as if he had told himself a joke.
“The monsters are cool, I guess. I’m more invested in the story of the brothers. Plus there’s no romance in Supernatural which is nice.” I watched as his shoulders relaxed briefly.
His eyes glanced around then came back to me, “You don’t like a love story?”
“No. I’ve had my heart broken too many times. I’d rather escape into a world of monsters than deal with matters of the heart.” My own heart betraying me as it thumped against my ribs.
Standing in front of him now, Jensen was truly striking. His sharp facial features, fair skin, plump red lips and muscular body had my own body aching in ways it had not in years. He was beautiful.
“I should go.” He abruptly left walking off towards the street.
As soon as he was out of sight, I sucked in a deep breath willing my body to move towards the elevator. That night my dreams were filled with dark alleyways and forest green eyes.
Over the next several weeks, I fell into a regular routine on set with Jared and Ash. I kept to my word that I avoided Jensen at any cost, but had noticed he was continually coming around me more. At first, I thought it was just because of Jared, but then I noticed he was coming around when he was not needed on set.
My inner fangirl was urging and encouraging me to talk to him. Then my first time meeting Jensen flashed through my mind and kept me far away from him. The last day of filming for the week was a night shoot. Ash and I were constantly running to get coffee for ourselves and the crew to stay warm. Jared every once in a while would pull us both into a bear hug allowing his body heat to warm us up. We were in the middle of a forest as Jared and Misha were filming a scene and I was trying everything in my power not to chatter my teeth.
“You’re going to freeze to death.” His smooth voice brought heat to my cheeks.
I pulled my coat around me tighter, “I-I’ll be al-alright.”
His perfect lips pursed together before he slid his jacket off his shoulders, “Here take this,” He stepped just close enough to drape his large jacket over my shoulders.
“T-Thank you.” I slipped my arms inside surprised that it was slightly chilled still.
We stood there in silence watching as Jared purposely messed with Misha’s takes, “Children.” Jensen muttered as I chuckled.
In a rare moment I witnessed him smile brief and my inner fangirl sighed gracefully falling onto a lounge chair, “You have a great smile. It’s nice to see it.”
Jensen rolled his eyes, “Yes well, I’ve recently come to the realization that instead of trying to fight fate I should just embrace her cruel destiny.”
I raised an eyebrow at him confused, but decided it was better I remain silent. What did he mean by fighting fate? What destiny? My heart began to race as hope filled my chest. There was something about the way he had been acting and what he said that gave me hope he was talking about me. The director wrapped for the night and we made the trip back to the studio.
Just as my luck has always been, when I got to my car it would not start. I was one of the last people to leave the studio in the early hours of the morning. Trying to decide if it was worth calling a cab or just sleeping in my car. I was leaning towards the latter of the two.
“Everything okay?”
I yelped turning quickly to see Jensen stopped in his car, “Jesus, you scared me.”
He chuckled before shutting his car off and coming towards mine. He lifted the hood and began checking through everything, “Looks like it could be your starter or alternator. We can have one of the mechanics look at it Monday morning.”
I sighed heavily, “Great… just great.”
“Come on, I can give you a ride back to our building.” His genuine smile dazzled me for a moment as he closed up my car and went to open the door to his car for me, “(Y/N)?”
“Um, yeah that would be great. Thank you.” I got into his car shivering from how cold it was inside.
Jensen turned on the heat and took off down the main street towards the highway. His large hands gripped the steering wheel tightly but the rest of his body seemed relaxed. A wave of fear crashed into a wave of excitement of being in close proximity to him. My inner fangirl and mine’s curiosity was getting the better of us from earlier.
“What did you mean by embracing fate’s cruel destiny?” I thought maybe he had not heard me as a silent tension filled the air between us.
“Did you sign the NDA they drew up for you?” Answering a question with a question was a pet peeve of mine but I let it slide.
I turned slightly in my seat, “Yes, though I don’t understand why I needed to sign one. It was clearly stated in my new hire paperwork not to speak of any upcoming episodes or scripts.”
Again, his soft laughter had an edge to it, “The NDA has nothing to do with the show or network. It is something our managers and agents have in place to protect us.”
“You mean protect you and Jared? Why would you two need protecting?” Suddenly images of Jensen starring in his very own version of Fifty Shades of Grey filled my mind and my cheeks burned.
We were approaching our exit and I knew my time would be up with him, but I did not want to leave. He remained silent until he parked in his space within our garage. He turned towards me, his eyes downcast and shoulders slumped forward. If I had not known any better, I would have thought he was upset or in pain.
“Jensen, anything you or Jared would tell me or I would see would strictly be between us. I don’t need a NDA to keep private matters private. I have more respect for both of you that I would never want anyone running your names through the mud of public opinion.”
I reached out my fingers briefly brushing against the back of his smooth skin. A small gasp escaped my lips from how cold he was even with his heater on. He pulled his hand away from me quickly getting out of his car. I followed him towards the main street where he finally stopped.
“I-I’m sorry. I didn’t mean…” He held up his hand to silence me.
Turning back towards me, his eyes were dark once again but not threatening unlike when we first met. No, there was something else. Something I did not recognize, but it made my heart race with anticipation.
“Tomorrow, I promise to explain everything. I will come by to get you around ten o’clock.” Jensen hesitantly brushed the back of his fingers against my cheek and instinctively I gravitated towards his embrace.
He quickly took off down the sidewalk leaving me with a million questions and yearning I had never felt before. In a daze I made up to my apartment and into my bed. Sleep did not come easy and when it did my dreams were vivid, sensual.
True to his word, there was a knock on my door at ten o’clock on the dot. I opened my door inviting him in as I finished getting ready.
“I’m sorry about my place being a mess.” I mumbled going back into my room to grab my coat.
I heard me laugh, “Quite alright, I mean Jared’s place is a pigsty.”
When I walked back out, I watched as his bright olive eyes traveled the length of my body. I nervously fidget with the strings on my coat as a slow smirk spread across his face. Jensen was dressed in a simple black hoodie, dark denim pants and black boots. A pair of dark Ray Bans hanging from the collar of his hoodie. Even dressed down he looked like a runway model.
We walked to the elevator, an empty car arriving, and as we stepped in the tension between us was nearly unbearable. I shifted from one foot to the next avoiding his intense gaze. With lightning speed, Jensen had me caged against the wall and his lips pressed against my throat.
“Jen-Jensen…” I sighed breathlessly as he dragged his nose up my neck to under my ear.
“Dammit, I promised myself I would not lose control around you, but…” he paused taking a deep breath in making my legs tremble, “you smell divine.”
As quickly as the moment had happened it was over as the elevator doors opened. Jensen was on the other side of the car looking unphased by what had happened. Whereas I was trying to remember how to breath and walk at the same time. His low chuckle and smug smirk made me smack his rock hard bicep.
“Ow.” I muttered making him laugh even harder. The pain was worth it to hear his musical laughter.
Instead of going to the garage, Jensen led me towards the sidewalk. He slid his dark sunglasses over his beautiful eyes and pulled his hood up over his head. I figured this was so no one would recognize him from the show. We walked side by side towards a nearby park. Our hands would brush against one another until finally he took mine in his pulling me closer to him. Leading me to a spot just off the Vancouver Harbor.
The sun was shining bright warming my skin then a cold breeze from the water would make me shiver. We sat at a clear spot sitting silently next to one another staring out over the water. Jensen gently pulled me into his side and draped his arm around my shoulder.
“Well, this is much better than when I first met you.” I whispered leaning my head on his shoulder.
I felt him press his lips and nose against the top of my head inhaling deeply, “Yes, well when we first met I wasn’t expecting you to be so… appealing.”
I sat up looking at him, “What does that mean? I feel like you are talking around me and I don’t like that.”
He sighed, pulling his hood down further as the sun shined brightly over us, “It’s only because the truth would send you running far, far away.”
“I told you, anything you tell me is between us. You have my word and a signed NDA for a safety net.” My inner fangirl and I were desperate to know what secret he was holding back. She was practically jumping on the lounger within my mind.
“When Eric Kripke came up with the idea of Supernatural, he had no idea how close to being right he was.” He pulled his sunglasses down his piercing out looking over them.
I swallowed the small lump lodge in my throat, “So you’re saying that supernatural creatures are real or that hunters are real?”
He smiled, pushing his glasses back up, “I guess hunters could be real, but then humans would have to acknowledge the fact that monsters were real.”
“Monsters… like you?” Suddenly a lot of his behaviors were making sense even if my mind could not wrap around the fact that monsters were real.
He nodded, “Does that scare you?”
“No.” My answer came quick and firm. I was not afraid of him. I knew he would never harm me. Somewhere deep within my heart and soul, I knew I was right where I belonged.
“You should be. I’m a dangerous creature even more so than Jared.” He looked out towards the water, “Mainly because Jared is just a big dog. All cute and cuddly as Ash would say.”
“Jared is a… werewolf?” I could not quite believe the words coming from my mouth, but his nod answered my question, “Then you are…”
Jensen faced me baring his teeth as his fangs grew slightly longer than the rest. I sucked in a breath as he closed his mouth, “Now you’re afraid.”
“No. More mesmerized than anything. You’re… you’re a vampire.” The awe in my voice could not be helped. I spent most of my life reading grand tales of mythical creatures and humans falling in love with them. Now, I was in the middle of my own fairytale.
He scoffed, “Mesmerized? I’m an undead murderer and you're in awe of it.” He looked away in disgust.
“I’m in awe of you. You’re obviously drawn to my scent and yet here you sit next to me. You could have ended me at any time these last few weeks but you haven’t. Hell, in the elevator that could have been it, but all you did was… kiss my neck. I’m in awe of your strength and will power.”
Jensen's expression softened and he pulled me back into his side, “It’s difficult being around you. When I first met you, I had never wanted a human so much in my life. First it was my primal need, but now…”
“Now what?” My heart skipped a beat as hope filled my chest.
“Now, I have this overwhelming need to protect you and be by your side always.” His jaw clenched as he spoke the words.
I reached up brushing my hand against his cheek, “Why is that so hard for you to say?”
He leaned into my touch, “Loving me is a death sentence. The thought of losing you is insufferable.”
Jensen’s forehead pressed against mine as I whispered, “We found each other. That’s all that matters.”
“You’re ridiculous, you know that right?” He chuckled, easily lifting me onto his lap and wrapping his arms around me.
“I’ve been called worse. Tell me more about your life.”
For the next several hours, Jensen told me all about his life from his rebirth in 1920 to how he and Jared became best friends. I hung on every word of every story he told and it was not until my stomach began to growl from hunger that he finally stopped.
“You should eat.” He easily picked me up as he stood and set my feet on the ground.
I looked away from him, the anxiety building in my chest knowing we would have to part ways soon. He laced his fingers through mine and led me back towards the main sidewalk. When we arrived at our building, I was having a difficult time keeping the tears that threatened to fall back. Once again, as we stepped into the elevator, the air tightened around us.
“What is it about elevators?” he muttered making me laugh as the very thought had gone through my head.
When we went past my floor, I looked over and saw a smile on his face. We stopped at the very top floor both sighing as we exited the elevator. He pulled out his keys and opened the door for apartment 1520.
“I thought it was only fair if you saw my place as well.” Jensen held the door open for me as I walked in.
The layout was open and bright with one wall being all windows. His furniture was dark gray with steel blue and navy accent pillows. He had a big flat screen TV with a few game consoles. What caught her by surprise was the wall of records and record player he had. I turned back around to see him anxiously watching me.
“Not what I expected from a vampire.” I walked towards his flawless kitchen and looked untouched which I guess was to be expected.
“Were you expecting a coffin and velvet?” His smile was infectious as I nodded.
Taking off my coat, I sat down on his couch as he walked off towards his bedroom. Jensen came back in with his tablet and a blanket. He placed the blanket over my and sat next to me.
“Order whatever you would like for dinner. Don’t worry about paying for it because I insist.” He chuckled as I rolled my eyes.
Deciding to order from my favorite pizza place I handed him the tablet to put his payment information in, “What do you eat?”
“Finally! The question I have been waiting for all day.” He exclaimed, “Are you sure you want to know?”
I nodded, “If I’m diving head first into oblivion then I want to know everything.”
“Brave woman. I still drink blood, but that which is donated. There are certain organizations within the acting community that are set up for actors such as myself. We go to grab our supply of ‘food’ and then we store it in our homes.” He pointed back towards the refrigerator, “All of it is from blood drives once the hospital receives its share then we buy the remainder.”
It was better than him stealing blood like Benny in Supernatural or drinking animal blood like Edward in Twilight, “Oh okay then. At least I won’t be surprised if I open the fridge now.”
There was a sad undertone in his laugh, but I chose to ignore it, “What about Jared and Ash?”
“Ash is human, but she seemingly blossomed at the end of last season. Jared was immediately drawn to her and they spent most of the summer at his cabin near Red Rock Point, Montana.” Jensen bit his lip smirking.
“Why?” I knew there was more to what he was saying but he seemed almost embarrassed to speak of it.
He sighed pulling me closer to him, “If you had asked me that question a month ago I would have given you a snarky answer about not being able to control his inner animal, but now… now I know better.”
I leaned my head against his shoulder, “Meaning…”
“Every few months, Jared would go into what he calls a rut. His need to procreate becomes overwhelming and he has to be off on his own as a wolf to deal with it. Now, he found his mate and one weekend a month they will go off to his cabin to… you know…”
My inner fangirl was begging on her knees for Jensen to say the words out loud but I just nodded, “I get it. Why is it now that you know better than before?”
I looked up into his shining eyes captivated as he leaned closer to me, “Because now I know exactly how Jared felt when he found Ash.”
His perfect full lips were inching closer to mine. My tongue darted out over them just before his were going to touch them then his door intercom buzzed. A small growl escaped his lips as he quickly got up buzzing the delivery man in. I found myself trying to take deep breaths to collect myself as my inner fangirl was hyperventilating.
“Dinner is served.” He said placing the box down on the table.
“I’m not hungry right now.” I said as he sat back down next to me.
He laughed, “Eat before the alien in your stomach pops out and eats the pizza for you.”
I narrowed my eyes at him before lifting the box open and grabbing a slice. Settling back into his side, he turned on his Netflix account. His fingertips trailing down my arm as I took a bite.
As I was taking a second bite he leaned in whispering into my ear, “There will be plenty of time to test my will power later.”
I shivered, truly no longer hungry for food. I placed the piece of pizza back in the back turning towards him, “What would happen if I took initiative and kissed you?”
He turned into a stone statue as he stared at me, “That would be a very dangerous thing to do.” He spoke slowly with a hint of challenge in his tone.
My inner fangirl was cheering me on as I pushed the blanket onto the floor and swung my leg over his lap sitting on his thighs. His ice cold hands gripped my hips as I leaned down my lips hovering his. There was a brief moment where time stood still then it was as if a rubber band snapped. His lips crashed against me and his arms wrapped around my waist holding me against him. He groaned as if in pain and I pulled away from him.
“Since I’m breaking all my rules and going to hell…” He whispered and in a flash we were both tumbling onto his bed.
That night was the best one of my life. Jensen may be a primal killer but with me he was nothing short of a gentle lover. I knew from that moment, I would do anything to remain at his side forever. Just like every cliche movie or book trope where the meek, naive woman falls in love with a monster that has a heart gold. I found myself in their exact shoes desiring an everlasting love affair with a vampire.
On Monday, when Jensen and I arrived at the studio, Jared and Ash were waiting by his trailer. No words were spoken between them but by the smiles on their faces I could tell they knew what was going on between Jensen and I.
“You owe me twenty bucks Padalecki.” I heard Ash as Jared grumbled.
Jensen and I laughed as we walked to the studio building to meet with the executive producers and legal team concerning our newly starting relationship together.

I Don't Want To Go Home (2/15?)
We're kicking off into the actual plot now! The dialogue still comes from the pdas in the outpost base, but rewritten to fit the characters and the new story. Again, no need to have played Subnautica Below Zero to understand this fic, although it does help.
No warnings for this chapter, but please be aware that the reader character discusses an intergalactic pandemic and lockdown, written before the current one. It's not ongoing as far as the plot of the fic is concerned.
As soon as it hits the end of your shift, you put your samples on top of your workstation and practically run all the way back to the habitat to get there before anyone else.
“Oh, hey,” Mundy greets you, “you’re here early,” he attempts to wink seductively and succeeds in looking like he’s having a stroke.
“I know, I ran here to make sure I got here first,” you hang up your coat. “I need to borrow your pyro-what are you doing?” you ask when you realize Mundy’s holding something behind his back
“I’m just slacking off,” Mundy’s voice is shrill in the way it gets when he panics. “Don’t tell the boss lady!” he gives you a terrible, fake chuckle as he tries to hide his drawings behind his back.
You feint to the left, before grabbing the sheets with your right hand. “Ha!” you cheer as you examine his art of some strange green thing that makes you smile to remember. “It’s beautiful! Why would you try to hide these? Also, what are they?” You’ve definitely seen them around the island.
Mundy scratches the back of his neck, and his voice is at least an octave higher than normal. “I'm doing a series inspired by bacteria. Mutant beauty, life, death, risk. You know, that kind of thing?”
Ah, bacteria, now you know what he means. “What do you mean, bacteria?” you hold one up that you really hope isn’t what you think it is. “It looks like Kharaa, but,” you look more closely at it even though you already know why. “Gordon, is this a mutation?”
Mundy’s nervous again. “It’s just a personal art project,” he insists. Somehow, his voice is still rising in pitch.
You don’t dare look down at your skin for fear of seeing glowing green pustules. “You know you’re doing that thing with your voice,” you say as calmly as you can, “like when you're trying to bluff in Alien Intruder?”
Mundy sighs, before confessing, “Alright fine, I’m bad at lying.” He gives you a weakly hopeful smile.
You can hardly believe what you’re hearing. “Are you mutating Kharaa bacteria, from the frozen Leviathan, here, in this lab? If this bacteria gets out, then-”
“Why would it get out? We have professional containment, we’re protected from contact at every step of the process, and we know how to neutralize it in an emergency.”
You feel ice settle in your stomach. “Not when it’s mutated, we don’t. And you responded way too fast.”
“It was my area of research before Jensen made you take over!”
“Hey, uh, am I interrupting something?” Monk asks from the doorway.
“Uh, no,” you say hastily, walking toward the fireplace to start one with more force than is really necessary, or helpful. “You want some roast Chinese potato?” you ask, pulling a few out of the growbed as you wait for the flames to reach a decent height.
“I could take one, I took the salt deposits out of the water filter,” Monk says carefully. “Mundy, you want to shred some marblemelons?”
Mundy starts, like he only just realized Monk was there. “Uh, yeah,” he reaches out to grab the melon from your hand, and his face falls when you don’t let your fingers touch.
There’s a timid knock at the door, followed by an even more timid, “Hello? It’s Ernst.” Suddenly, your heart soars, and you wipe your tears as you open the door.
“Hey, Schmidt.”
He stares at you before asking, “Are you alright?”
Jesus, you must look really miserable, if even Schmidt is concerned about you. “I’m fine, go help Monk and Mundy shred the marblemelons.”
Schmidt puts down a bottle of, holy shit, “Is that lantern fruit wine?”
Schmidt blushes. “I discovered that lantern fruit has a chemical composition similar to-”
“Yeah, no one cares,” Mundy says, pouring at least half the bottle into his glass, making Schmidt wince, before handing it to Monk.
“I don’t drink,” Monk refuses it, so Mundy puts it down. Schmidt picks it up again and hands it to you.
“You’re not drinking?” you ask.
“I can always make some for myself later,” Schmidt demures, but you leave a quarter of the bottle out for him. He looks up at you, just for a second, before looking back down at his feet. “So, how do we play alien intruder?” Schmidt asks in a voice so quiet, it’s almost nonexistent. With his head bowed, it’s even harder to hear him.
“Well, we guess who the alien intruder is,” Mundy stares at Schmidt like he’s an imbecile, something you doubt the robotics technician has any experience with.
He shrinks ever further into himself at the accusation. He doesn’t get any better when the game starts, constantly looking at you before doing anything, which gets him accused of being the alien, more out of Mundy’s jealousy than anything else. You know this, so you keep shooting down Mundy’s accusations.
Monk innocently kicks off the argument. “If you ask me, Schmidt’s been blinking a lot,” he says casually. “I think it's a tell.”
“He does have a point there!” Mundy looks at you.
“It's allergies!” Schmidt says stiffly.
“Allergies?! Oh no!” Mundy says mockingly. “Is something in bloom in our little frozen habitat?”
“There are thermal lilies,” Schmidt scowls at him. “And if you gang up on me, I swear, you're all fired.”
“You're not our real boss,” Monk reminds him.
“Let's just take this to a vote,” Mundy downs his glass and slams it on the floor. All those who think Schmidt’s allergies are a bad case of alienitis, say, ‘Intruder.’ Intruder!”
“Intruder,” Monk cheers.
The two turn to you, but you stay nothing except, “I’m going to use my pass.”
“There’s no such thing as a pass!” Mundy argues.
Schmidt slides himself between you and Mundy. “Are you two cheating?” he asks with smoothness he hadn’t displayed all night. “You two are suddenly very aligned.”
“You know what, I’m starting to wish I had cheated,” Mundy looks directly at you, leaving no way for you to miss his meaning.
Neither did Schmidt, because he’s on his feet, screaming for Mundy to apologize. Mundy jumps up to his feet as well, and your heart thumps in your chest. You press your hand against Schmidt at the same time Monk does the same for Mundy, but Monk actually manages to force Mundy to sit down again. All you can do is stand between the two of them and hope.
“No, wait, don’t,” you press a hand ineffectually on Schmidt’s chest at the same time Monk does the same for Mundy. But Monk manages to force Mundy to sit down. All you can do is stand between Schmidt and Mundy, and hope neither of them speak again.
Schmidt searches your face, and whatever he finds has him take a step back. “I made a mistake, coming here,” he says, his voice stiff and formal. “Thank you for inviting me, and I’m sorry I caused so much tension. I’ll go now,” and he turns and exits the room.
“It wasn’t your fault!” you won’t let him take all the blame, and you follow him out of the room. The moment the door closes behind you, he turns around and takes your hands in his. You hadn’t realized how cold your hands had become until you felt his soft, warm skin around yours.
“I’m the new person, the outlier. Monk and Mundy will be more than happy to blame any existing tension from today on me,” his voice is oddly desperate. “Go back in, let them construct their narrative, and have fun like you normally would.”
You shake your head. “The tension between me and Mundy isn’t going to go away until I resolve this-” you freeze. Schmidt is in the cave with the leviathan all day, so there’s no way he has no idea what Mundy’s been doing.
Schmidt lets go of you and holds his hands up. “What do you need help with?”
Well, you can’t trust Mundy, so you might as well see how deep this conspiracy goes. “The Kharaa samples from the frozen leviathan-”
“Is nothing to worry about in and of itself,” his tone is reassuring, almost. The way the light reflects off his glasses obscures his eyes.
“I have it on good authority that mutation experiments are being performed on this bacterium. I don’t need to tell you that the bacteria, as it was, killed billions, and we’ve only just discovered a cure. If it mutates-”
“Are you feeling unsafe?” Schmidt interrupts.
“Yes!”
He takes his glasses off to look at you eye to eye. “If I escalate the issue for you, will you feel comfortable enough to concentrate again? I have deadlines for the Snowfox and the mining bots coming up. I really need you not to fight with our coworkers.”
“Oh,” you let out a breath you hadn’t realized you were holding, “yeah.” A giggle bubbles out of your chest. “That’s a relief, actually.”
Schmidt puts his glasses back on, but his gaze is no less severe, or sincere. “Nothing is more important than your safety, and the safety of all of my crew. I will take care of it, do you trust me?”
You nod enthusiastically. “Thank you, I won’t let you down, sir,” you add a cheeky wink to the end.
The corners of his mouth twitch. “No, thank you, and thank you for inviting me. Go back in and,” he hesitates as the corners of his lips droop, “go have fun with Monk and your boyfriend.”

“Papa Ackles!” You were hugged by the older man, tightly when you opened the door. The name had been adopted by you teasingly and had somehow stuck for the one and only Roger Alan Ackles. He liked to kid that his son was the prettier of the two, but the family resemblance hadn't been spared. Namely in that smile. Then there was the crinkles by his eyes. His genes were every bit as present as his wife's. “I didn't know you were coming over. Is Donna here, too?”
“Nah, she's busy checking in on Mackenzie.” A wink sent your way made you chuckle. You could only imagine the drilling the younger sister was busy getting from the sweet, mother hen. “Is my boy busy, or can I bug him for a bit?”
“He's in the pool with the kids.” Your thumb pointed towards the back, as you opened the door further to allow him inside.
“And why aren't you out having fun, too? Too old?” To the patriarchal figure, you weren't a housekeeper and nanny mix. You were part of the family and that was that. And, it was his and his wife's duty to look over the herd. Which meant you weren't spared from the loving questionnaires. “My son overworks you.” He knew it wasn't true. Was just trying to get a reaction. You simply tsked, not taking the bait as you got back to work. “What're ya working on today, missy?”
“I'm only thirty. Who're you calling old, Pops?” You teased, lifting up the laundry basket you'd set out. You'd gained the response you wanted. That tossed back, full bodied laugh his son had inherited. If it ever came to you leaving? You'd miss that over exuberant old man.  “And this?” The laundry basket was kicked forward a bit for emphasis, “This is the last thing I've got queued up. Now, go harass your son. He'll love it.”
A pat to your shoulder and an affectionate kiss on the cheek left you alone as he moved down to the pool room. You knew the moment the kids had spotted him. The echoing 'papa's sounding loudly up the stairs.
You moved down to the old cellar to pick up the discarded clothes from the kids. Or so you told yourself. It had nothing to do with the desire to be one of them. Nothing at all.
There wasn't even ten minutes of peace that passed before another, younger, Ackles invaded your alone time. A still damp Jensen walked in, rubbing his hair with the towel. Shirtless and completely at home in his skin when away from the camera, he padded over to the wine cellar. Searching out his favorite stash. You wanted to believe that you were strong enough to not lift your gaze away from the cleaning repeatedly. But, you weren't.
The sinewy muscles across his arms and back were outlined as he moved. He could be a little shy about the less than chiseled belly, but he had no reason. Mouthwatering still accurately described the being in front of you. Small drops of water trailed down as he grabbed two beers from the mini fridge he'd installed some time back. His swimsuit was dry enough to not drip, but damp enough to cling to the curve of his ass.
Every fan girl's wet dream was less than a foot away. And you couldn't touch. Shouldn't have even looked.
As he turned back around, you forced yourself to stare down at your hands. Not letting the lust you were sure was obvious anywhere near his eyes. “You're not gonna visit?”
There. That I can handle. With a shaky breath, you yanked your mind off him. Back to reality, instead.
“No,” You answered easily, folding the little dinosaur shirt that Zeppelin had almost destroyed neatly. “I already said hi.”
A low hum was all you got for a moment. Leaving you to believe that was the end of the discussion. But, he hadn't walked away.
“Are you alright?” The troubled question took you by surprise well enough that your head lifted. That was a mistake in itself. It left you to stare temptation down. “You've been...different.”
“I...” Clearing your throat didn't get the lump out of it when that bearded, overly attractive bastard's unreal pine gaze seemed to bore into your very soul. “I'm...I'm fine.”
“No, you're not.” That finally gave you the strength to jerk the pile of clothes upwards as he set down the beverages. Before you could make it out of there, a hand gripped around your arm. You froze at the firm touch. “Y/N...what's going on?”
His hand was ice cold from the both drinks and pool. You shouldn't have felt so warm. Yet, the contact made your blood pump faster. Looking down, his fingers weren't tight enough to leave marks. Simply catch your attention. And, boy, did it.
Breathlessly, you finally found your voice, “Let me go, please.” You were dropped as if he'd been burned. You knew the feeling well. The flesh he'd touched felt as if he'd branded you. “I said I'm fine.”
“Did...Did I do something?” He was trying to understand the distance that had sprung up over the past few weeks. His tongue wet his lips as he stared you down. Only making it harder to focus.
Even with the kids, you seemed to have taken a step back. They assumed you weren't feeling good. He was just clueless. As often as you were there, and as much as he knew, there was still a whole lot of empty resting between you two. It could have been anything.
“No.” That didn't help him piece it together, any. He wanted to know. Needed to. “Look, I'm okay. I just...I need to finish this up.”
Your eyes continued to evade him. Seeking a way out. As if he'd held you trapped in his home. Immediately, he wondered if that were the case. You hadn't said anything. But you wouldn't. He knew that beyond doubt.
“Look, the kids and Pops were hoping you'd join us back there.” He pointed towards the door. Hoping that the old man could see past your guard. Get you to open up.  “You can take a beer. Wind down a bit. Socialize with someone other than us.”
Arguing the point was useless, then. Unless you wanted to look like an ass, anyway. Jensen, bless his heart, was truly unaware of what was plaguing you. Even if half the world seemed to see right through the wall.
His obliviousness was both endearing and maddening. The loyalty to his late wife so sweet that it ached. Blindness to you? Scalding. Even though it never should have mattered.
“Okay,” Your shoulders wilted as you said it, making him frown further. Settling on the defeat. So confident that he'd solved the riddle.“Give me a minute and I'll be out there.”
“About time!” Roger boomed, drawing eyes your way.
You'd taken your time about it. An extra few minutes to clear your head. Long enough that everyone acted as if you'd been gone for weeks rather than had a few extra moments to yourself. Kids chattering all about; beyond excited that one of their favorite humans had finally decided to join them.
“Yeah, but I brought food.” The tray you carried held chicken salad sandwiches, some fruit, and some more drinks. It gave you the out you'd needed. “It's excused.”
“You keep this one around,” Papa Ackles hummed happily as you set the tray down in the middle of the large picnic table that rested on the perfectly manicured lawn. Rubbing his hands dramatically as he dug in.
The kids joined in, but Jensen waited. His eyes latched on you as you sat across from him. Careful not to bump your legs with his bowed ones. As if a single touch were more than you could stand.
You tried to ignore him. Focusing on the munchkins that were determined to make up for lost time. Talking with mouths full. Spraying water from their bodies everywhere as they fought for their feast. Not the food. But, your attention.
Texan sun beat down on your back. Hot and heavy in only the way the south could accomplish during the summer. Scalding through the clothes. You slipped the flannel you'd been wearing down over your arms as you managed a slightly average conversation with the older gentleman over the desperately goofy children.
The sun kissed skin wasn't anything that Jensen hadn't seen before. Yet, he found himself gazing over it as you patted down his curly coated dog. Imagining himself burying his face against the place where your neck met your shoulder. Pressing a kiss to the pulse point that would be racing. It was so vivid that he couldn't quite shake it away.
What the fuck? He came to his senses as you tossed the shirt over to the chair at the end of the table that had his clothes. However, it was soon lost when he focused on the pile. All he could picture was the bare skin meeting just as fabric had under the sun. Maybe Cliff is right...maybe I do need to get laid.
His body couldn't agree more as it awakened for the first time while he wasn't buried in his subconscious. The cold water that still clung to him doing nothing to slow his blood. A mistake in the making.
His mind tried to rationalize it away. You were too young. A young thirty just that year. There was the fact he was technically your employer. You'd been his wife's friend, for fuck's sake. A million reasons why it would never work. Yet, the longer he sat there, the more he found himself studying you.
There was the curve of your neck that came into his line of vision when you turned to address Zeppelin on one side, or Arrow on the other. The way the top of your breasts peaked out of the tank top as you leaned over to pour some homemade lemonade for J.J. How soft your legs were against his when Oscar knocked under the table.
“Jensen,” His name was said in confusion. Not the feminine, lust hazed moan he'd imagined. Slowly, he blinked away every piece of carnal sin that lined his deprived brain to stare at his future face. Roger didn't hesitate to investigate. “You okay?”
“I'm good,” The crack of his all too high voice said otherwise, but you didn't call him on it. Instead, you simply frowned a bit before excusing yourself. Making him feel ever the heel.
“Night, love.” You whispered back to Zeppelin as you shut his door. Sighing in relief. Everyone's worried gazes were getting to you. As if you were going to fall apart at the slightest inconvenience.
Sneaking out the back, you practically ran to your escape. Only to be caught by a looming shadow. There wasn't time to scream before the fuzzy beast beside him made it clear who it was.
“Can we talk? Without the kids, around?”
“About what?” You wheezed, holding your hand over your heart. Still trying to recover from the shock. There wasn't an option given. Instead, you were dragged to your home by your wrist. “What the hell is up with you?”
As soon as your door shut and light flicked on, he got down to business, “I could ask you the same thing.” Oscar danced around your living room. Sniffing the aquarium housing the clawed frog as he ignored two of his favorite people. “What's going on, Y/N?”
“Nothing.” You shrugged out. Refusing to make eye contact.
“Right...Okay, let's approach this differently.” That made the E/C sweep back his way. Distrust lining them. “My name's Jensen...not Mr. Ackles.” The commanding tone went straight to your ovaries as he stepped closer. Looming over you as he made his point.
“Really? Because right now? All I see is Dean Winchester.” The sass fell short as you caught your breath. Swallowing tightly, you got to the point. Hoping it would give you some space. “You want the truth?” A simple, stern nod was your only response. “You were right.”
“On what, exactly?”
“You're all about to switch up your lives completely, Jay.” Heavy defeat seemed to line your face as you backed away. Plopping on the couch in clear exhaustion. The poodle mix waddled your way. Reaching up to sniff your cheeks while his owner stared in utter confusion. “You're going to have all the time in the world....and...You guys aren't going to want me around, forever.” Your fingers pulled out a small knot in the coat you'd brushed just that moment. “It just seemed easier to back off, now, than to just walk away later.”
“Huh...” As he processed what you said, he turned away. Looking back around the room. Taking in all the pieces of you for the second time. “You really think those kids,” His fingers pointed to a selfie they'd taken with you, “are just going to let you walk away because I'm home more?”
“They have you,” Was shrugged out. As if it were really that simple.
“Yeah...but they want you, too.” Your head bowed at that. You'd known they had. But, that didn't mean it had to last forever. “I didn't mean to make you think that the ending changed...this.”
“It does, though.” The words were soft, but sad. Tearing through the air like a bullet as you focused in on the dog. “I'm a nanny...that's it. The second you're done? My job isn't as important. You can take on the brunt of it, and still be fine.”
“If you were just a nanny? I wouldn't be here right now.” Slowly, your gaze lifted. “Hell, Y/N...even if you decided to leave on your own? That door'd always be open for a visit. You've gotta know that.” Something in your eyes said you hadn't quite believed him. “Not everyone is just going to boot you out and never look back.”
“It doesn't feel that way.” The vulnerability on your face was unexpected. Jensen didn't bother to hesitate. Plopping down beside you. His arm flung around your back. Tugging you into a friendly hug. “What're you doing?”
“Trying to get past those feelings,” He huffed out. Resting his chin on the top of your head. “Besides...pretty sure my dad loves you more than me.” The small laugh against him made his lips kick up. “If I tried it? He'd off me.”
“You're probably right,” A gentle sigh left your lips as you held on tightly for a moment. But, then, you pulled back. “Thanks...I needed that.”
“Anytime, Y/N...” A short whistle followed. Immediately, the doodle turned tail. Diving to his owner's command. “And...I was thinking.” His hand stilled the squirming beast as he moved to open the door. “Maybe you'd wanna help me take the kids out. Laser tag, family night?”
“Count me in.”
“We're all ready,” Your hands pressed on your hips as you looked over the packed up SUV. Filming was about to begin. And with it? Would be the announcement. Things were speeding up and no one quite knew what to do with it all.
It had taken over a week to get everything ready. The kids had stayed with Danneel's family while you and Jensen worked on packing up for them and the dogs. You stocked up for the house sitter while Jensen finished rounding up the heathens. And then? It was time. You were all due to meet Jared at the airport.
“It's kinda bittersweet,” Jensen stepped up beside you as the kids fastened their seat belts. Awaiting their annual trip to Canada. The dogs wagged their tails eagerly from inside. Crowding in a fashion that screamed all American family.
“Focus on the sweet,” Your fingers squeezed his arm. An action that was nothing more than a way to express empathy before your name was cried out from inside. “And, that's my cue. You got the last bag?”
“Yeah, I got it,” A crooked smile made his stomach twist. A problem that hadn't ebbed since the day at the pool. As you climbed in, he focused a little too long on the way your shorts rode up when you bent over to help Arrow buckle up. Jensen shook his head before lifting the final bag. “You're losing your damn mind, Jay...”
“Sure as shit,” Cliff barked beside him. Making him jerk in surprise. “But, what's new?”
A glance your way seemed to catch the security guard's attention, “We'll talk later.”

Me and my two sister were currently sitting in the back of our social workers car being driver all the way across town to live with our new foster family. Our social worker always made sure that if someone wanted to foster one of us she would make sure they knew they had to foster all of us as we came together and didn’t want to be split up. I first started taking care of my younger siblings when I was around 12 years old when my mum disappeared for nearly two weeks. I just woke up one day and she was nowhere to be found. I made sure I got them both feed and washed and made sure they were ok. I didn’t end up going to school during that time, and that was the first time that CPS came around. At first I didn’t know what was happening. Mum was back now, I didn’t tell anyone that she was gone. Ends up the school was wondering where I was for two weeks without letting them know I was away, they phoned my mum and no answer and since they became a little worried they phones CPS to check out to see if we were ok. Turns out we weren’t in there eyes.
We were now pulling up to a house. Melissa opened her window and pressed a button on the intercom and waited for an answer. Once she identified herself the gate opened and we started to drive up to the house. It was much bigger than I expected it to be. Antionette and Mila were staring out of the car window amazed by the house, as they’d never seen something this big before. We were used to small rooms, not a lot of food and being around horrible people who really didn’t want us. Melissa parked the car and started to get out the car and went to open the boot to get out our belongings while I got us three out of the car. I made sure they looked presentable and told them to be on there best behaviour and to be polite, even though I know at some point that will fly out of the window. While we were staying by the care getting ready the door of the house opens and a man and woman come out they start to walk up to us and Melissa.
That’s when the women speaks up and introduces themselves to us. “Hey, I’m Danneel and this is my husband Jensen we’re the Ackles. It’s to nice to finally meet you guys.” I smile at them while the little ones tell them their names. They always liked meeting new people, they always become attached very quickly, I on the other hand didn’t. I said hello though out of politeness and we all headed into the house. Melissa stayed for awhile and helped us get settled into the house before leaving. We were shown to our rooms, Antionette and Mila were sharing a room down the hall from you and I had my own room. We were on the top floor, I didn’t mind though the house was very big. They didn’t have any children, why did they think they could look after 3 children at once. Mila and Antionette spent the evening playing in the living room with the toys they brought with them while I watched them reading my book to make sure they were ok.
Everything in this house seemed perfect. They were nice people but still in the back of my mind was why were they doing this. Were they just doing this to make themselves look better to their family and friends, or doing some charity thing. I was going to keep an eye out for sure. Later on that night I found out the Jensen was an actor and dint spend that much time in the house during the year, but since he was on hiatus he was at home until he had to leave next.
We had currently been living with the Ackles for 2 week now and have been going to school for the past week. I was the only one going to high school while the little ones were going to be attending the elementary a school. Jensen had just parked outside the high school and turned off the engine. He told me to have a good day and I went off my way. I got assigned to my classes and went on with my day, I liked the school people were kind, didn’t ask too many questions and everything seemed like it was going to be ok. By the end of the school day, Jensen came back around to pick me up while Danneel picked the little ones up from school.
When we arrived home Danneel and the kiddos were already home and Danneel was already starting to prepare dinner. I helped the kids do their homework before getting out the laptop that Jensen has given me permission to use to start writing my English essay which is due in 2 weeks. Romeo and Juliet a simple story about love but full with anger. I was half way wiring the essay when a knock came from my bedroom door, and it opened slightly.
“Hey Bela, hows the essay writing going?” Jensen asked while walking into the room.
“Ermm… it’s going ok. Should have it done by tonight.” I say putting the laptop next to me on the bed.
“Well that’s good.”  Jensen said while nodding his head. “I just came up to let you know dinner is ready.”
“Ok, just let me save this file and wash my hands and I’ll be down.” I say. Jensen nods and gets up and leaves.
I washed my hands and made my way downstairs. I reach the dining room everyone was just about to sit down. I sat between Mila and Antionette, Danneel and Jensen started to bring in plates of food and places them in front of all of us. Antionette just starred at her plate. I could understand why we haven’t had a proper home cooked meal in so long. Since we have been here, the past week we’ve have some takeout and a bbq. This was our first sit down dinner.
“Where’s the potato chips?” Antionette asked.
“We’re not having any chips tonight sweetheart.” Danneel said while picking up her knife and fork.
“I want my chips” Antionette continued.
That’s when I started to intervene. I don’t want her to get into trouble. “Antionette” I say at a louder volume.
“It’s ok Bela” Danneel said. “Me and Jensen worked really hard to make this dinner, we wanted to make lots of yummy for for us to all eat.”
“NO! I want my chips” Antionette shouted.
“No les hablas así.” (You don’t talk to them like that.) I raised me voice to Toni. She started to shout back and me and hit my hands away from her as I was trying to keep her from having a tantrum at the dinner table.
“Bela stop. Let me handle this.” Danneel said with a raised voiced, like she was shouting.
“Why are you yelling? I’m only trying to help.” I say back to her.
“IM NOT YELLing” Danneel shouted but got quiet near the end. “Well then I was, but I.” She turned to Antionette and continued “don’t do what Bela said. But Bela I’ve got this” I just nod at her and sit back in my seat and let her handle it on her own. I started to eat my potatoes listening to them.
“I don’t think she is getting on board with the plan hunny” Jensen said across the table.
Antionette kept shouting, she got up from the table and ran into the kitchen and got a bag of chips. Things started to happen and somehow the bags of chips popped open and went everywhere, then her milk got knocked over and went all down her clothes. She started to make her angry noise. She would heavy breath which would sound like she was growling like a dog. She picked up her plastic knife from the table and kept looking at them.
“Can I? I ask. They nod.
“Baja el cuchillo ahora.” (Put the knife down now.) I say while grabbing it down of her little hand. “ahora vamos al baño y lavemos y luego disculpemos cuando hayamos terminado.” (Now we go to the bathroom and wash and then apologize when we're done.) and then I dragged her to the bathroom. “gracias” Jensen said. When we were done she apologised and gave them both a hug. I spent the rest of the night in my bedroom reading my book before I fell asleep.
We had been living with the Ackles for nearly a month now, I’ve noticed that they talk about work but they never really leave the house that much. Maybe the work while we are at school but something always felt off about that. It was now the weekend. I was in the front room watching morning cartoons with the little ones while Danneel and Jensen made breakfast. That’s when the front door to the house opened up and a tall man and a small woman walked in to the house since they don’t have to walk past the living room to enter the kitchen we didn’t see them, but I saw them pass in the mirror. About 5 minutes later Jensen walked into the room and caught our attention.
“Hey. So breakfast will be done soon. I also wanted to let you know we are having a few friends over for have breakfast with us if that’s ok with you all.” He said while sitting down on the couch.
“Yeah. That’s fine.” I say and Antionette and Mila nod.
“Ok, well when is program finishes come on through to the kitchen for me please” Jensen said before leaving the room.
When I knew he was out of earshot I started to tell the girls that they needed to be nice to them. Even though we don’t know who they are they will prob be apart of our lives for a little while if not more. So we needed to make a good impression. We finished watching the show and made our way into the kitchen where the four adults were drinking coffee and there was a bowl of fruit and a tray of stacked pancakes in the middle of the table. We made our way inside and sat down at the table. The couple introduced themselves Jared and Genevieve, they were married. They knew each other as Jared and Jensen worked together.
“Oh, cool. What do you guys do?” I ask to them which eating some of the raspberries that where on my plate.
Jared looked at Jensen a little confused I didn’t understand why at first but them I found of they were all actors and actresses. Now I was a little on edge. Was I right? We’re they doing this since they wanted to look good in front of the world. That’s when I started to shut down a little, I just focused on my siblings and made sure that ate there breakfast. When we finished breakfast we went back into the living room, Antionette and Mila continued to watch TV while I read my book. After awhile I got myself ready for the day. I turned on my laptop and started playing my playlist while I took a shower. When I was done I rembered the conversation that happened during breakfast and decided to do some googling.
I typed in the search bar Jensen Ackles. Jensen Ross Ackles is an American actor, singer and director. Best know for his role as Dean Winchester on the CW show Supernatural. It carried on telling his birthday and all that jazz. He had also been in a few movies and other TV shows over the years. I also did the same with Danneel there didn’t seem to be anything bad to there names or what was on the surface. I was a little curious did they act the same way they did with us at home like he does on his show, was this an act. He’s an actor for a living was this all a lie, they stayed in my head for a long time.
After awhile I got dressed I’d my hair and put on some light makeup and headed downstairs. Antionette and Mila were still in there PJ’s. I entered the living room “Vamos, ustedes dos. Lavarse y vestirse.” (Come on, you two. Wash and dress.) I say they both start to wine a little. Jensen and Danneel and Jared and Genevieve were all looking at me wondering what I had said. “Now please.” I say with a smile. They get up off the floor and start to walk out the room “Help each other” and they left the room.
“What did you say to them?” Jensen asked.
“Oh.. just to get washed and dressed. They can do it.” I say and sit back down where I was before I got ready.
“You know you don’t need to look after them like that anymore right. We’re here, that’s what we are here for.” He replied.
“I know. It’s just I’m still used to it. Plus I don’t think they would move if it got too late.” I say with a little laugh.
Around lunch time all of us were in the backyard. At this point the Padalecki’s decided to bring there kids over since they were done with morning practice. All 5 of the kids were playing on the grass. Jared and Jensen were manning the BBQ, and I sat reading my book, when I decided to bring up this mornings googling.
“So this morning after breakfast I did something.” All the adults were listening. “I may have looked you up. I just wanted to see… Ermm…. I’m not sure what I was really looking for I just wanted to see… I think.”
“Ok. Just don’t believe everything you read. Not well of it is true.” Jared says.
I nod before turning to Jensen. “Why yours voice different? You sound really different with a deeper voice.” I say.
“Annoying  acting choice” he replies.

Over the past 4 months we have had our ups and downs. I’ve had my fights with the Ackles where my little siblings took to them fast. Tonight was the night I was performing at the winter musical, where you just sang, or did something in the arts. Since being in this house, this family I’ve gotten more into music and started writing some songs and tonight I was singing one I wrote for Jensen and Danneel to tell them thank you. They have made my life better that I could have imagined. I was in the dressing where the other kids where getting ready, the 2nd act was on right now, I was the second to last performer. In the audience tonight was my whole family. Jensen, Danneel and their parents and Jared and Gen and my little siblings and I was excited but nervous. I didn’t want to disappoint anyone. It had been an hour, it was finally my time. I got out my chair and waited by the side of the stage. Mrs Mitchell announced my name and I walked out to the microphone and waited for the music to start. That’s when I closed my eyes.
I’ll Stay.
My feet are sore from walking all night long
No direction when there's nowhere to go
Empty picture frames of times all gone
Lonely echos of the stories we've told
If you put on my shoes walk a mile or two
'Til your eyes open wider then they used to
Then I will meet you there where the air is clear
Pinky swear, I'll meet you there
And I'll stay, with you I see new colours
And I'll stay, today until forever
And I'll stay, with you I see new colours
My eyes are open wider today until forever
I'll stay with you
Familiar faces as we chase the moon
Fall in love and I'll come crying to you
Through the changes and the Earth's bad moods
I'll lay my troubled bones on you
If you, put on my shoes walk a mile or two
'Til your eyes open wider then they used to
Then I will meet you there where the air is clear
Pinky swear, I'll meet you there
And I'll stay, with you I see new colours
And I'll stay, today until forever
And I'll stay, with you I see new colours
My eyes are open wider today until forever
I'll stay with you
I'll stay with you
And I'll stay, with you I see new colours
And I'll stay, today until forever
And I'll stay, with you I see new colours
My eyes are open wider today until forever
I'll stay with you
My eyes are open wider
Tonight
When I'm a hundred two, and I can't sing to you
Close your eyes, memorise how we used to.
When I heard the crowd applauding I opened my eyes. I gave a small smile before walking off the stage. I was in shock people liked what I did. I wasn’t at failure. I stayed behind the stage to watch the last performance before making my way down to the hall to find my family. Everyone was smiling at me. Jensen gave me a hug before Danneel got one. Then I got to eyes level to hug my sisters and grave them both a kiss. This was everything I had ever wanted growing up and my life was starting to o fall into place. What I didn’t know was when I got home Jensen and Danneel was going to change all three of our lives for the better and that ways a whole other adventure waiting to happen.

“Good morning,” Danneel smiled. “It’s nice to meet you, although the circumstances are strange…”
“I’m way too hungover. You’re talking so loud.” YN wiped her hand down her face as she entered the kitchen.
“There’s breakfast on the table for you.”
“You didn’t have to do that,” she turned and walked toward the large table.
“You’re hungry, I’m sure.”
“Thanks.”
YN asked where Jensen was. Danneel explained that he was sleeping in. He almost never did, but she got the kids off to school while he rested.
“This must all be a lot.  I’m sorry for ruining your lives,” YN sighed. “I didn’t know. I won’t do anything with the stuff that has come to light. He didn’t know. It’s not his fault or my fault, or-“ she rambled.
“YN.” Danneel waited until YN stopped talking.”We know that, honey. You are welcome here, just please don’t be hungover in front of the kids.” Danneel smiled as she joined the younger female for breakfast with her own plate of food. “It’s a lot for all of us. Jensen was in shock. If he would have known-“
“I know,” YN nodded. “He’s responsible.”
“Hey, YN,” Jensen slowly walked through the doorframe of the kitchen.
“Whatever,” she groaned.  “I didn’t ask you to save me last night, Jensen. If you are going to try and teach me life lessons after intervening when I didn’t expect you to, I’m leaving. I didn’t ask you to freaking drive to Dallas and get me.  You don’t get to pull the dad card,” she gritted her teeth.
“I love you is all,” Jensen said simply.
“Gah, Jensen. You don't know me. And you treated me like crap.”
“I know, and I’m so sorry.  You’ll understand if you have kids. And I’m so proud of you. You’ve handled yourself so well through this crazy ride.”
“Yeah, obviously,” she rolled her eyes.
“Are you missing work today?”  Jensen changed the subject, realizing he wasn’t getting anywhere.
“Yeah, but I do graphics and have my own schedule.  It’s fine.”
“Okay, good.  I can drive you home.  I’m on break for two weeks.  I don’t mind.”
“I can get an Uber-”
“Sit in a car with a stranger for four hours?  No,”  Jensen rebutted.
“Can you stay?  At least for a few days?  We have some extra clothes.” Danneel asked excitedly.
“It’s awkward.  And I’m not exactly his biggest fan.  No offense.  I don’t want to be an inconvenience either.  And you guys don’t even know me.”
“You’re so sweet and you’ve helped so many people since you met the boys.  Please? I’m sure the kids would love to meet you.  I’ll pick them up at about four today,” the oldest woman asked.
YN thought for a moment.
“Okay, fine,” YN softly smiled. As soon as she agreed to stay, her phone went off. “Stop calling me, Mom,” YN groaned.
“Answer, it’s okay,” Jensen told her.
“She LIED to me, Jensen.”
“I know.  But you understand why, don’t you?”
“She could have told me.  I just wanted a few answers.  I cried for days as a kid not knowing who my dad was.  SHE KNEW.” YN’s phone continued to ring.  She turned the sound off.  “I’ll freaking move to Timbuktu. She is nothing to me anymore.”
“No, you’ll stay in Dallas.  You’re thinking with your emotions, not with your head.  There’s a difference.  Let’s change the subject.  Dee and I were going to walk the farmer’s market today before we get the kids.  You wanna go?”
“Sure, why not?”  YN huffed.
“I think Gen and Jare are coming too,” Danneel said.
“It will be good to see them.  I’ve never met Gen in person befor-” Her eyes lit up.
Their door creaked.
“Jackles!” Jared’s voice boomed.
“In here!” Jensen called.
Gen and Jared soon entered the kitchen.
“I didn’t know you would be here!” Gen gasped. “It’s so good to meet you!”  The woman engulfed YN in a hug.
“Hi, YN!” Jared stopped when he saw her. “You look a little messed up.  What happened?”
“She got drunk so I had to save her ass,” Jensen joked.
“You drove to Dallas? In the middle of the night?” Gen scolded.
“She lives alone, what was I supposed to do?” Jensen shrugged his shoulders.
“Well, glad you’re safe.  You feeling it today?” Jared smiled.
“Feeling better now that I have food in me.  Thanks for the breakfast, Danneel.”
“Of course.  Us girls need to get ready.  We can do that while the boys watch some TV.”
“Don’t be too long!”  Jensen laughed as the ladies walked up the stairs.
______
“I don’t want to talk to you, Mom.  Stop bothering me.” YN hung up quickly as she and the Padackles walked the farmer’s market.
“Call her back.”  Jensen said lowly.
“Not right now, I am enjoying the fact that you are not being an ass,” YN gritted her teeth.
“Whatever, kid,” Jensen smiled. “Just- treat her okay.  It must be a lot for her too.”
“Why aren’t you angry?  She kept a secret for a quarter of a century.”
“Well, I am, but I have you in my life now.  Maybe I’ll talk to her in the future, but I wouldn’t really know what to say.  I’m sad she kept me from you, but I’m happy you’re open to a relationship with me.”
“That’s- that’s very calm of you,” she responded as they stopped at a booth full of strawberries.
“Here, these are the best.  Try this,” Danneel handed YN a piece of red fruit.
“Oh my gosh.  It’s so good,” YN agreed with a grin.
“We can make strawberry ice cream with these.  Okay, let’s keep going,”  Danneel prompted.
————-
“Hi!” JJ sat next to YN on the bed while the younger ones tried to join them without luck, too short to climb onto the bed.  YN sat up from her afternoon nap.
“Hi,” YN responded groggily. “What’s your name?” The oldest one rubbed her eyes.
“I’m JJ!  You’re YN!  You’re pretty,” the little girl said matter-of-factly.
“Well, thanks.  So are you!”
“Can you play with us?”
“JJ! I told you not to-” Jensen came into the room.  “Sorry, YN.  I told them to leave you alone.  Come on, guys.  Let her wake up a bit.  I’ll get you a snack.”
As they all exited, YN stood up and straightened out her clothes.
“Twenty-five missed calls? Stop it, Mom,” she mumbled to herself.
YN walked into the living room where everyone greeted her.
“Hey, sleepyhead,” Jared smiled from the couch as he sat next to Gen.  Jensen grinned across from the couple.
“Where did the kiddos go?” YN looked around expectantly.
“Backyard with Danneel,” Jensen answered.  “You can meet them when they come back in.  Come sit down,” he patted the area of couch next to him.
The four caught up and reviewed the day.  They talked about their favorite parts of their adventure and how YN had never been to a farmer’s market.  She soon changed the subject.
YN asked how Jared had been doing.  He explained that adult coloring books kept him calm over the previous week.  YN saw a few colored pencils on the side table next to him.  YN smiled in relief as she saw he was more relaxed than their previous interactions.
“Thank you for all of your help.  I mean it.  I can’t do it without you.  I’ve been in a lot of situations, but this through me for a loop,” Jared showed his gratitude.  “Thanks for telling me about what you went through too-”
“They don’t know,’ YN cut in.  At the realization that her stroke secret was about to be exposed, she started breathing quickly.   “It’s still hard to talk about.  Don’t tell-” she stopped abruptly. Shaking, she stayed quiet.
Everyone was silent while she tried to recover, but it wasn’t working.  Jared tried to keep her calm, but his presence intensified her panic.
“Jared, back up,” Gen said.  He stepped away.  His wife approached YN.  “It’s okay, girlie.  Can I scratch your back?” She noticed YN pulling her knees to her chest.  YN nodded. “Move over, Jensen.”
Gen sat next to her, squishing Jensen into the corner of the couch.  They didn’t notice that Jared reacted to YN.  He also started heaving.  Jared grabbed a pillow and clutched it to his chest.
“Oh, no.” Jensen whispered.  Gen turned to see her husband curl into himself with a faraway look on his face.  “They’re feeding off of each other.  I’ll get him out of here.  You keep her calm.”  Since Jared had not quite gotten to the same stress level as YN, Jensen guided the taller TV brother to a movie room where he put him on the couch.  “Relax.  She’s okay.”
“I didn’t mean to trigger her.  I didn’t realize she didn’t want other people to know.  I broke her trust.  How will she forgive-” Jared rushed the words out of his mouth.
“Jared.”
“What?”
“Stop thinking and breathe. In and out, come on, buddy.”
After a half hour of calmingtechniques both parties had mellowed.  Jared walked in to apologize to YN but found her asleep against Gen on the couch.
“It’s my fault,” Jared said.
“Stop it.  Sit down.  No blaming, you know the rules about that.  Get,” Jensen pushed him toward the opposite couch.  Jared froze instead of landing on the couch.  He started hyperventilating.  “Not again,” Jensen whispered.  “Let’s just take you home, bug guy.  Let’s go,” Jensen took Jared’s arm.
“I want- to say- to say I’m sorry,” Jared turned back to YN and Gen on the couch.
“You can. Later.  She’s sleeping.  Come on, dude.”  Jensen walked ahead of him and opened the front door.  Jared slowly followed him out.  “You got her?” Jensen stuck his head back through the doorway.
“Yep.  Take care of my guy,” Gen whispered back.
______
Jared woke up in his room noting the darkness outside.  What had happened that afternoon came rushing at him.  He rustled in the sheets, reaching for anything to soothe himself.  Hearing noise over the monitor he had placed in Jared’s room a few hours previous, Jensen walked into the large master bedroom.
“You okay?”
“I think so,” Jared calmed, coming down from his anxious state.  “I need to say I’m sorry.  Is she still at your house?”
“You aren’t going anywhere near her right now.” Jensen said lowly. “You feed off of each other.  Until you both chill, you’re staying here.  She’s still a little amped even after her nap. Say you’re sorry later.”
“I’ll send her a text,” he reached for his phone.
Jensen walked with large steps toward Jared and took the phone out of his hand.
“No.  She’s still not calm.  Gen said she can’t relax.  If you do this, Gen will have to calm her down again.”
“What about all the kids? I completely forgot about them.  Danneel and all-”
“All six are in bed.  It’s after ten,” Jensen backed away with the phone in his hand.  “Go back to bed.  I’m giving this to Gen.  She’ll be home soon.  I’ll take YN for now.  Good night, bud,” Jensen left the room without waiting for a response from his friend.
“I’m so sorry!”  YN wailed as quietly as possible.  “It’s my fault he got upset,” she tried to calm herself down.
“No, it isn’t.  Please know that, sweetie,  You can’t keep going like this.  You’ll be up all night.  When you come down, you’ll crash hard,” Jensen walked in to Gen and Danneel trying to assuage the situation.
“He’s asleep,” Jensen whispered to the ladies in the room.
“Good.  He should get some sleep after what I did to him,” YN hiccupped.
“Stop it, YN.  Clear the room.  Everyone else to bed,” Danneel said sharply.
“Dee?” Jensen questioned his wife.
“Go.  Good night, Gen,” Danneel ushered the woman out.
As Gen left, Jensen asked Danneel, “What the hell are you doing?”
“Her mom betrayed her, and you’re the bad guy whether she admits it or not.  Get out of here so that she can calm down.”
“How do you know that?”
“Go. Now,” Danneel gave no explanation and looked to YN whose panic was increasing as she sat alone on the couch. “Get a stuffed animal and a blanket and bring it back to me.”
“What in the world, Dee?”
“Just do it,” she groaned.
Danneel sat down next to YN again.
“Here,” Jensen quietly handed her a teddy bear and a soft blanket.  He exited quickly.
“YN,” Danneel whispered.  “Take this.” YN turned over to see what Danneel had in her hand.  “I saw a picture of you on instagram as a kid with something like this.  Maybe these will help.  Not the same as you had, but hopefully close enough.”
YN accepted the items and held them close.  Calming down, she told Danneel that the blanket smelled like Jensen.
“A lot of stuff does,” Danneel laughed.  “His cologne lingers.”
Feeling the softness of the stuffed animal and the blanket made her relax.
“I’m not a baby,” YN tried to push them off as she realized what had happened.
“Keep ‘em for now.  No one is here and no one knows.  If it helps, use them.  No making fun.  Promise.” She saw YN’s body relax and her eyes slowly close.
________
YN woke up to Jensen looking at her.
“What?”
“What are you? Five?  Nice teddy bear,” he snorted.
“Shut up, Jensen.  I don’t need you to demean me too.”
“Big baby,” he rolled his eyes at her.
“Why was I not good enough? You should have fought for me, Jensen.”
“For you?  You hug stuffed animals and baby blankets, kid.  Thanks but no thanks,” Jensen laughed sarcastically.
“Why?”
“Ha!  Your mom was a slut.  I mean, come on, YN.  She had a kid with a guy she barely knew.  That’s me, by the way.  She was known as the bicycle of the school, you know that?”
“Asshole!  If that’s really how you feel, I’ll just leave!”
“Go ahead, small stuff.  I don’t want a grown kid who is a wimp.”
“Fine!” YN threw the blanket and stuffed animal at his head. He laughed at her last attempt to interact.
“Bye, YN!” Jensen waved as she flew out the door.

You’re Not From This World (Part Six)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Imagine the boys get sent to an alternate reality again without you, which leaves you stuck with the Winchester look-alikes, Jensen Ackles, and Jared Padalecki.
Pairing: Dean Winchester x reader, Jensen Ackles x alternate world!reader
Warnings: Both worlds POV
Words: 2500+
Disclaimer: I do not own Supernatural. This is fanfiction only. Please do not redistribute my writings on other sites, horrible or not. Thanks!
Part One, Two, Three, Four, Five
“So your first name on your birth certificate is…?” Dean questioned, more for verbal confirmation.
“It’s Y/N…”
“Wow, I was not – I was not expecting that.” Dean chuckled.
“To be honest, the character’s name is what caught my attention in the first place. I haven’t really told anyone, except for Jensen, but I think he forgot…” Cat took another bite. “You’ve probably noticed that I act awkwardly around you. And yes, it is because you look exactly like him.”
Dean played it off poorly, “No, not at all. We’re technically strangers to each other anyways.”
She smiled, aware that the older Winchester was trying to be nice about it. “I feel like we could be more acquaintances than strangers.” She commented with a smirk. “I’d say I know enough about you from the show that we wouldn’t be entire strangers.”
“Fair point.” Dean agreed. “Not sure if I know enough about you to say the same. The only thing I know now is that you have the same first name as Y/N.”
“Touche.” Cat chuckled. “What do you want to know?”
“Alright, why do you feel awkward around this Jensen guy?” He asked, a bit hesitant at first.
Cat sighed, “I had a feeling that question would be asked eventually. To keep the story short. I fell for him and I don’t know how to act around him anymore. When I first started on Supernatural, you could say we were two peas in a pod, but then I realized how I felt and it just..”
“…it made you overthink about everything?” Dean assumed the end of her sentence.
She looked up, a bit surprised. “Yeah, that’s right.”
Dean smiled at her, “As quoted by someone pretty smart…” He looked over at his sleeping brother. “Just tell him how you feel. Now I can’t confirm he’ll return the same feelings. He’d be stupid not too, in my opinion. But if he does, at least you didn’t waste years of pining over him or sleeping with other people when you could’ve been with him.”
“Someone got wiser.” Cat commented, finishing her Nutella sandwich.
“I also had a nagging brother but it was her that really made me realize how stupid I was all those years. Now, I can’t imagine my life without her.” He smiled at the thought of Y/N.
“You two are goals.” Cat yawned. “I think it’s time to go to bed for me. Tomorrow…err in a few hours now, we’ll figure out a way to get you and Sam back to your world. Everything will be okay.” She smiled at him as she got up and then headed to the other queen bed that was empty.
Dean nodded his head and then went back to his sofa bed. Cat definitely shared the positivity that his Y/N had. He could only wonder how similar Jensen was to him as he drifted off to sleep.
- - -
Waking up to noises coming from the bunker entrance area, you stretched out in your shared bed with Dean. You weren’t used to how roomy the bed was with only a single person. Reaching out to check your phone for the time, it read almost 7am. Normally, you would’ve slept in longer but right now, you were technically working a case. You got up and changed into a t-shirt with flannel and some ripped jeans, as you shoved your phone into your butt pocket. Heading out into the war table room, you spotted Jared already up and researching.
Before you could ask where Jensen was, he appeared beside you, holding out a cup of coffee. “Coffee with sugar?” He asked.
You rose an eyebrow, taking the mug. “How did you know that?”
“Lucky guess.” Jensen smiled as he returned back to his seat across from Jared in front of a pile of books.
You followed him to the table where the boys sat at.
“Cat takes her coffee the same way. I took my chances and based it off of that.” The older actor admitted.
“Oh. I was about to say you two have grown quite accustomed here in the bunker. It’s almost like your actually Dean and Sam. It’s kind of creepy.” You shared, taking a sip of your coffee.
“We’re just doing what we would be acting out, except we’re actually doing it.” Jared stated.
Jensen looked at his friend with a did-you-hear-yourself look.
The tall actor shrugged in his chair. “What? It makes sense to me and she understood. Right Y/N?” He asked rhetorically as he continued. “Oh! I talked to Cas earlier. He said Remph might take a while longer to recover. Apparently, he didn’t just send Dean and Sam to another world, he also sent back the witch’s victims back to the worlds they came from too. Apparently, that’s what drained Remph’s energy yesterday. Also, there might’ve been something else, but I think that was the gist of it.”
You sighed, “Great. So Cas – ”
“Yes, Y/N?” The angel appeared beside you.
You almost spilled your coffee from his sudden appearance. “Cas, what have Dean and I said about popping up out of nowhere?! And you couldn’t just walk through the bunker to come here instead?”
“Sorry, I heard my name spoken twice and thought it was urgent.” Cas responded. The angel wouldn’t admit it, but watching over Remph wasn’t the greatest.
“Well since you’re here. What’s the ETA for the angel’s recovery to be able to get Dean and Sam back and these two back to their home?”
Cas’s eyebrows creased together. “I’m not sure. Traveling through different universes takes a huge amount of energy without using spells or other means.”
“It’s never easy for us, is it?” You muttered, more to yourself.
“What about Rowena?” Jared asked casually.
Jensen had an idea of where his friend was going with his question as he spoke hesitantly, “I don’t know man. Usually, in the show, she only helps if she gets something in return.”
“I have also been unable to locate her lately. I believe she must be using some kind of spell from the grimoire to hide.” The angel chimed in.
The boys continued chatting, debating if they should reach out to Rowena and if they did, how would they contact her.
You knew from the moment Jared brought up Rowena that Dean would’ve said no right away. However, desperate times called for desperate measures. To make the choice easier for everyone, you actually had a way to contact Rowena. You set your cup of coffee on the table and pulled out your phone from your back pocket. “Guys…” You spoke aloud, but the boys were too busy in the discussion. This time you cleared your throat. “Boys! I have a way to contact Rowena.”
All the boys looked over at you as you held your phone up.
“I have a number I can try calling. She gave it to me a while back and told me not to tell Dean and Sam. I figured it wouldn’t hurt to keep it, just in case.” You confessed.
“If you think it’s the right move, I trust you Y/N.” Jensen shared. Jared agreed.
It surprised you a bit to have both boys have that much confidence in you. If it were the Winchesters, Sam was usually the one to back you up most of the time. Dean’s need to keep you safe played a huge role in decisions from time to time, which would lead to you two arguing. However, 70% of the time the team still ended up going with your idea.
Castiel looked skeptical. “Y/N…Dean wouldn’t  – “
“I know, Cas. But he’s not here right now.” You stated as you searched through your contacts and pressed the call button.
The phone rang a couple of times before a Scottish accent answered. “Hello, dearie. And what do I owe for this pleasantly nice unexpected call?”
You sighed. “I need your help.” You admitted. Just get straight to the point and get it over with. You thought to yourself.
“Oh my. The Y/N in need of my help? How could I say no?” Rowena teased.
You couldn’t help but roll your eyes. “Rowena.” You answered sternly.
“Alright dear, enough of the games. Is it just you or the poor boys too?” The redhead asked nonchalantly.
You looked over at Jensen and Jared. “Me…” Turning to face away from staring eyes, you walked over to Castiel. “…but it concerns Dean and Sam too.”
“What sort of trouble have you and the boys brewed up this time?”
Y/n went on to explain the situation of the Winchesters being switched with alternate versions of themselves, keeping out certain details such as the angel that was currently resting in one of the bunker rooms. When asked what happened to the witch that Rowena acted ignorantly but was curious about, you shared you killed her. Rowena never mentioned the angel, to which you were glad you didn’t mention him either.
“I may be able to help. I may recall a particular spell that could create portals to other realities. However, the ingredients are…” Rowena paused for a moment on the phone. “…interesting.”
“What ingredients do we need exactly?” Y/N asked.
“Oh, a fruit from the tree of life, the seal of Solomon, the blood of a most holy man, and an arch angel’s grace.” The witch listed.
“That’s great, I have no idea where to get any of those items without researching.” You shared, knowing that those items all sounded like they would be difficult to find, especially an arch angel’s grace.
There was silence on the phone for a moment before Rowena let out a breath of air. “Bullocks!” Rowena expressed aloud.
You stayed silent on the phone, waiting to see what the witch’s outburst was about.
“You’re lucky I like you more than the Winchesters, dear. I know of someone who was collecting those items. I don’t know why, but I suppose if you take care of her, then that is one less wee witch in the world to worry about.” The redhead shared.
“One witch, to take care of? That doesn’t sound too hard. How does this benefit you?” You asked cautiously.
“Just make sure to tell your loverboy that I helped you get him back. This should make up for my part in the witch’s actions.” Rowena finally admitted. She continued to give an address, which you wrote down next to Cas.
Before hanging up, Rowena shared she would head to the bunker while you went to gather the ingredients. She also warned you, “Be careful not to mention that you just killed her daughter. A mother’s wrath is something you want to avoid, dear.” And then she hung up.
Of course, it would be Remi’s mother that you had to get the ingredients from.
The boys were looking at you as they didn’t quite understand what happened in the conversation. Before they could ask, you spoke up first. “I’m going out for a while. There’s another witch that I need to go collect ingredients from. Rowena should be here in a couple of hours.”
“We can go with you.” Jared offered.
“No, you two are staying here with Cas.” You looked from the actors to the angel.
Immediately, Jensen and Jared were opposed to staying. They both wanted to help as they felt slightly responsible for bringing up Rowena in the first place.
“Whatever favor she asked of you, we should help. We brought her up.” Jensen tried arguing.
“This time she didn’t ask for anything. And I think it’s because she knows we know she helped Remi. I also think she might be a bit worried that Dean will want to go after her when he gets back. So, her doing this as a favor to us is basically for her own survival purposes. Look, witches aren’t the biggest fans of the Winchesters. Once they spot you two, you guys will be targets. I can’t watch out for myself and you two.” You explained.
Castiel was about to suggest that he should come instead, when you continued speaking, “Cas, you need to keep an eye on Remph. You may need to hide his presence once Rowena shows up as well.”
“I don’t like this.” Jensen stated, which reminded you a lot of Dean.
You smiled at him, “It’ll be a piece of cake. I’ll be back before you guys know it.” With that said, you left to go pack your things. Then you took your car and drove off by yourself.
The boys knew how capable you were to take care of yourself, but they were still worried. It seemed too easy of an errand to collect ingredients for a spell. Not to mention with Rowena involved, who knew what kind of witch she had sent you off too.
As if thinking the same thing, Castiel appeared before the boys dangling the keys to the Impala. “Just watch from a distance. I agree with Y/N that you two shouldn’t be front lined against another witch. However, I’m aware Dean will be upset that we let her go alone. Call me if anything happens.” The angel handed them a piece of paper with an address, “This was the address I saw Y/N write down earlier.”
The boys thanked Cas as they left to pack a few of the Winchester’s belongings in a duffel. They had some sort of idea of what to bring based on what they did when they were acting.
Reaching Baby, Jensen and Jared couldn’t help but admire her. Despite riding in the car before with Y/N driving, being able to drive it now was awesome.
Jensen drove out of habit in the show. The two did get a lost, which added unnecessary road trip time, but eventually, they reached their destination, or so they assumed. Pulling up near the address, they parked a fair distance under a tree.
“Is that the house?” Jared asked.
“I think so. Did you look it up on google maps street view?” Jensen replied.
“Uhh, I did not. Was I suppose too?”
“How else are we going to know if we’re at the right address?” Jensen questioned looking over at his friend.
“I mean the dot on the navigation aligns with the spot of that house?”
Jensen sighed, “We’re pretty bad at this in real life.”
Jared countered his friend’s statement. “Hey! In the show, we don’t act out google mapping the location using street view! How were we suppose to know?”
A laugh appeared beside Jared’s open window. Both of the boys looked in the direction of where the laugh came from.
It was you.
You had just finished your reconnaissance task of walking around the neighborhood during the day and scouting. As you were leaving to head back to your motel that was walking distance from the neighborhood, that’s when you spotted Baby. The very recognizable 1967 Chevy Impala.
Bending over by the open window, you greeted the boys. “If it isn’t Scooby and Shaggy…” You teased.
Both of the boys looked embarrassed that they were caught.
“Hey Y/N…what are you doing here? We were just going on a drive, getting some well needed fresh air and...” Jared started lying, very poorly.
“Cas sent you, didn’t he?” You interrupted, getting straight to the point.
“Yes and no.” Jensen was quick to answer. “Look, we were all worried about you going alone, so we thought we’d just check up on you and Cas may have let us.” He shrugged as if he didn’t just throw Castiel under the bus.
You sighed as you straightened your back and then made your way to the back seat. “I had a feeling this would happen. Alright, let’s head to my motel and talk about this there.”

Tumblr media
A black town car pulled up to the front of the hotel and parked outside the automatic doors. Jensen slid his room key from the counter and peeked out the doors to see who would be coming out of the town car.
“I’ll be damned,” he muttered under his breath, slapping the room key against his hand a few times.
He knew that there were several songwriters he was familiar with on this retreat, but he didn’t know that Y/N Y/L/N was going to be here. He had tracked her career for a while, until recently when a nasty breakup had essentially sent her into hiding. For all Jensen knew, this was the first time she had been anywhere near public in months.
“Checking in under Devereaux,” she told the desk attendant. Her dark sunglasses hid her eyes; her voice was meek and tired. Feeling Jensen’s eyes on her, she looked his direction and raised her brow. “Can I help you?”
He cleared his throat. “Sorry. I just — I’m Jensen. Ackles, Jensen Ackles. Here for the writer’s retreat. I’m assuming you are, too?”
She stared at him for a moment, his arm outstretched, hand waiting to shake hers. Her tongue snuck lightly across her lips and she reached to remove her sunglasses.
“Ms. Devereaux? Your room card.”
Y/N’s attention veered from Jensen, and her hand dropped away from her sunglasses. She cleared her throat. “Thank you. Can I have an extra pillow sent up to my room, please?”
The desk clerk nodded. Y/N took one last glance at Jensen, then she was gone, disappearing around a left turn that would guide her toward the elevators.
Jensen chided himself for a not-so-smooth interaction, dawdled long enough for Y/N to get on an elevator, then took that same left turn and headed for his own room.
After lunch time, the songwriters all gathered in a conference room. Y/N was no where to be seen, and Jensen tried to stop himself from looking around for her while the leader of the retreat gave an inspirational opening speech. Most people in the room were familiar with each other, so they skipped the introductions and broke off into groups to start working on projects.
“If I apologize for the semi-awkward interaction at the front desk earlier, do you wanna work with me?” Jensen looked up to see Y/N holding a spiral notebook to her chest; a pen was tucked behind her ear. “Damn, kinda feels like high school again. Awkward girl who nobody really likes asking the popular guy to be her lab partner.”
Jensen gave her half of a charming smile. “I’m not sure you’ve assigned roles correctly, but at any rate, count me in. We could stay here, hit the beach, whatever you wanna do.”
She bit her bottom lip, letting on how nervous she truly felt. “Would you be opposed to finding a bite to eat? I came straight off a flight, napped, and I’m a little hungry. I don’t work so well on an empty stomach.”
“We could try room service. There’s a great view from the balcony of my room.”
Her nervous expression shifted to that of disgust. “Forget it.”
She turned on her heel, tension pulling her shoulders together. Jensen was out of his seat and catching up to her before she even reached the door of the conference room.
“That’s not what I meant, I’m sorry. Look, you can bring whoever with you — but I can see the ocean and the beach from my room, I thought it might be conducive to the creative process.”
Y/N drew in a deep breath before slowly exhaling. “I’m sorry — my misunderstanding. Everyone’s been on me for so much shady shit lately, I just assumed …”
Jensen held up his hands. “Nothing shady, Y/N. I promise. Just a couple songwriters, enjoying food and trying to make a hit.”
The nerves returned, but she nodded and followed Jensen to his room. They ordered a smorgasbord of fresh fruits and veggies to start with, along with a couple of cheeseburgers.
“Fuel for the mind,” Y/N laughed.
Jensen licked his lips in an effort to hide his own smile. This was the first time he had ever seen her laugh, heard it firsthand, and the sound endeared her to him even more. At least this gave him a reason, as oppose to the moment she had stepped out of that town car and piqued his interest.
Y/N groaned and set her head against the table on the balcony. Jensen sat across the table from her, guitar in his lap, fingers lazily falling over the strings.
“This isn’t working,” she sighed, sitting back in the chair. “We’ve been at this for, like, three hours, and we have nothing.”
“It’s not a race with the other songwriters, you know.”
She raised a brow. “So if we show up to the showcase in a few days and we have nothing, you’ll be completely fine with that?”
“First of all, we have three more days after today, second of all … are you saying you wanna break up?” Jensen teased.
She gave a tense laugh. “Everything’s been such a mess lately. This is the first time I’ve left the house in I don’t even really know how long. I was broken down, I was shattered. I want to come back, but I need people to know that I came back strong.”
“I get that. I mean, me and my girl are good, but if we broke up — I’d probably be a mess. I think, anyway. We’ve been together so long, I wonder if sometimes we stay together out of habit.” He drifted off to his own thoughts for a couple of seconds, then cleared his throat. “But you know, endings just mean new beginnings. So maybe, let’s start there.”
Y/N nodded and picked up her pencil again. The struggle was still there, but at least by the time the sun was setting, they had a direction.
“Let’s go to dinner,” Jensen suggested. “Take a break, have a drink or two. We can call it a day after that, or we can get back to it. Your call.”
“Sounds like a plan to me. You find a place, I’m going to change. If I’m going to be seen in public —”
“You’ve got to make a strong comeback,” Jensen finished for her. “I completely understand. Wouldn’t mind getting cleaned up myself. I’ll meet you in the lobby in an hour.”
Y/N left her notebook and pencil, but took her phone. Jensen stared at that notebook for several minutes after she left, tempted to read what else was in there, but he managed to refrain.
Y/N was intoxicated by tacos, palomas, and Jensen. They ate their fill, asked for the drinks to keep coming, and talked like they were old friends, catching up after being apart for too long.
“He didn’t deserve you,” Jensen said, before throwing back a shot of tequila. “No man who abandons a girl who can put away tacos like that and talk sports and sing like an angel deserves her.”
His words darkened the pink of her already flushed cheeks. “You’re too kind. I made mistakes, too. Everybody does.”
“Everybody does,” Jensen repeated, his eyes glassy as he looked at her. He was close to making a mistake, but he felt like he couldn’t stop himself. “We should come back here, every so often. It can be our place. We’ll write music and catch up and just forget the rest of the world.”
“That song’s already been written, I think.”
He couldn’t help but laugh. He recovered, finished off his beer, and held out a hand to her. “Dance with me, Y/N.”
She took a shot of her own, then slipped her hand into his. Jensen lead her to the makeshift dance floor — a patio where others were dancing to the acoustic melodies plucked out on a guitar — and wrapped one warm around the small of her back. She put an arm over his shoulders; their free hands clasped. They swayed back and forth together.
“So, whaddya say? We come back here every now and then? To escape?”
Y/N cleared her throat. “My reputation’s kind of shit right now, so you must really mean that. But, you’ve also got someone. We can’t exactly make promises.”
Jensen nodded; she was right, of course, but that wasn’t going to stop him. Not tonight. He stopped their movement. Their clasped hands became interlaced fingers, dropped to their sides. Her free hand was at his waist now, and his was drawing his knuckles along her jawline.
Seconds later, their lips were pressed together, soft and sweet but wanting. Neither one knew who had initiated the kiss, but both of them knew they wanted that kiss and more. Sober or otherwise, they wanted as much as the other could give.
“Is it too soon to be doing this?” Jensen asked. “I don’t wanna — you’re fresh off of that breakup.”
“And you’re with her,” Y/N said, echoing her earlier statement. “So, I’d say this is a delicate situation.”
“Yeah. It is. What are we gonna do?”
Y/N swallowed down every protest her mind insisted she make. She licked her lips again, tasting the Corona from Jensen’s lips, mixed with the tequila from the shots both of them had indulged. So many things could go wrong, if they continued in this moment — but there were also things that could go right.
Y/N kissed him again, a silent promise of nights that went beyond the one they shared now.

Knock, Knock. Part 14.

Chapter Summary: Jensen has a girl over. Christmas is coming up. This dang table needs to be built.
Pairing: (single) Jensen x Reader
Warnings: Cussing. Slow burn.
Word Count: 4981
A/N: Please let me know your thoughts! I feel like my writing is going downhill, and I need to know what you guys think!!! Happy reading:)
Part 14:
Two Weeks had gone by.
Cole and you had gone out on dates every other night, and when you weren’t out, you were texting or calling.
Jensen on the other hand had a new girl clung to his hip every other night. He was also acting different toward you. You wouldn’t necessarily say cold, but more… distant. If you had to describe it, it was almost jealous of Cole and you. But you put it in the back of your head because why would he be jealous of Cole and you. Right?
There had been a few instances where he wouldn’t be as distant or ‘busy’ as he called it, but as soon as you brought up Cole, or a going out with him, it was like a flip was switched. At night he would go out for hours, and come home with another girl.
It became a little too much last night when you came home to some raven haired woman straddling his lap while they made out quite heavily on the couch.
You had just walked in through the garage, and were coming through the kitchen when you heard shuffling and moaning in the living room. You quietly made your way in confused by the sounds because when you left to go hang out with Cole, Jensen said he had no plans that night.
“Jensen?” you asked before turning in to see the girl on his lap. They both quickly stopped their actions and turned to you.
The women never moved from her position. She had both hands on Jensen’s chest, and just turned her head enough to see who interrupted them.
Jensen didn’t even look embarrassed by getting caught.
“Oh god. I’m sorry! I-I’m just going to- I’ll be upstairs.” You said rushing for the staircase.
“Sorry Y/N/N. I didn’t think you would be home this early.” Jensen said pushing the lady off of him enough to where she was sitting beside him now. She huffed out a sigh in anger at the disruption.
You examined his face to see if he was actually sorry, but instead you found a hint of proudness instead. Almost as if he wanted you to see it.
“Yeah well, I said I would be home at 8. It’s 8 so.” You sassed at the end of the stairwell, annoyed of the scene in front of you.
“Yeah well, you’ve said that before, but came home at 10 anyway so I thought it was another night like that.” Jensen said with a smart ass smirk.
“Hmm” you hummed in frustration while tapping your fingers on the railing of the stairs. “Well, you said you weren’t doing anything tonight, but by the looks of it, that’s not quite true is it?”
“What is with the feistiness?” he asked with a smile as if he was getting the exact reaction he wanted.
You let out an exaggerated sigh and rolled your eyes.
“I’m going to bed. Have fun with this one.” You said with a squint of your eyes toward the girl to show the sarcasm that was meant to be said with it.
“Night Y/N.” Jensen said watching you go up the stairs. Did he accomplish his goal of making you jealous? He thought.
“Who’s the bitch?” the woman asked snapping Jensen out of his thoughts.
He quickly shot his head to her.
“Yeah, I think it’s time you go.”
“What, but we were just getting started?”
“Yeah, but then you called my roommate a bitch.” He said getting up and gathering her things. That may have been one reason, but now there was no purpose for the black haired woman. He wanted to see your reaction to this girl on his side, and he got it. If he was right, there was a hint of jealousy in your words.
“You’re going to kick me out because of that?” she said watching his actions.
“Yup.” He said without a blink handing her her things.
“But she was being a-“
“Don’t say it. No one, calls her that. Now please leave.” He said opening the front door motioning toward the car she had come in.
“Really, just like that?” she said with a stare at the man that was seconds ago telling her how hot she was, and sweet talking her.
“Just like that.” He said in a serious tone.
She huffed and started walking out with a small bundle of her things in her arms. Before she was completely out she stopped in her tracks, and turned to Jensen.
“If I didn’t know better, it looks like you have a thing for that girl.” He gave her a blank, non budging stare. “Yeah, that’s what I thought.” She said turning and walking towards her car.
He waved her off before shutting the door, and leaning up against it closing his eyes.
He let out a long breath, and then started walking into the living room to straighten up the couch.
When he was done he looked up that empty stairwell, and after thinking about it rolled his eyes at himself.
He made his way up to your room, and gently knocked on your door.
You didn’t open it, instead just yelled out, “Who is it?”
“It’s Jens. Can I talk to you?”
There was a pause. He could tell you were hesitant on the request.
“Can it wait for tomorrow? I’m about to go to bed Jensen.” You said through the door.
“Please, Y/N. I need to talk to you.”
You rolled your eyes, and looked over at the door from your vanity where you had just finished taking off your makeup. You put down the makeup up wipe, and walked over to the door. Your hand hovered over the knob for a few seconds before you turned it.
Once you opened the door, Jensen’s green eyes turned up from the floor, and he gave you a soft smile.
You kept your hand on the door knob and placed the other on the door as you leaned on it.
“What’s up?” you asked.
“I’m sorry about downstairs.” He said quickly. “It was rude what I said, and I should have been more respectful of your space. This isn’t just my house anymore. I shouldn’t have brought home a random girl and started hooking up with her on the couch, when you could’ve come in any minute.” He said hands now in his pocket as he looked from you to the ground.
You sighed and the tension in your shoulder went down some.
“It’s fine.” His head shot up at your forgiveness. “I should probably stop saying I’ll be home at a certain time, and then show up hours later.” You said rolling your eyes to yourself.
“I still shouldn’t have been a smart ass to you though. Especially with her there.” he said looking deep into your eyes.
“True, but it’s not like I didn’t return the sass.”
He shrugged his shoulders and chuckled out his breath. “I deserved it.”
“How about we say we’re both at fault? Let’s just keep each other updated on our plans from now on so we don’t have anymore awkward interruptions again.” You said.
“Sounds like a plan.” He replied.
“Now, I’m sure she’s waiting for you down there. I won’t keep you any longer.”
“Oh, I sent her home.”
“Why? Was it cause of me? Oh, I’m so sorry-”
“No, no! She was- well she was kinda a…”
“A bitch?” you finished for him.
“Something like that.” He chuckled.
“Well then I guess it worked out for the better.” You smiled kindly at him.
“Guess so.”
After looking into each other’s eyes for a few seconds you snapped out of the long gaze remembering that tomorrow was the last day of school before Christmas break.
“I should really turn in now. Last day of school and all tomorrow.”
“Oh, Yeah! Sorry, yeah. Go get your beauty sleep.” He said waving his hands at you, and you smiled going to shut the door. As he started walking away he mumbled, “Not that you need it.”
“What was that?” you asked hearing him say something.
“What?” he said shooting around back to you. “No, nothing. Just talking to myself.”
“Oh, ok.” You said with a grin. “Night Jensen.” But right after he turned you stopped him. “Oh and Jensen?”
He turned quickly with a raised eyebrow. “Yeah?”
“I think you can do better too.” You winked and gave him a quick smile before shutting the door.
He smiled at your closed door for a minute, then his smile turned to a sad one. “I don’t think I can.” He whispered to himself walking to his room for the night.
__
The last day of school was actually less stressful than you thought it would be. There were only a few hiccups in the day, but nothing that wasn’t unusual.
Gen had texted you again asking if you could bring the boys to her house on the way home. She had a video conference with some web designer, and also wanted to sit down and talk to you about some stuff.
You walked into her house, and the boys immediately ran to her while she was in the kitchen getting them a quick after school snack.
“Hey, boys! How was the last day of school?” she said as you took off your coat and got situated on a bar stool.
“It was so fun! We played games almost all day!” Thomas said.
“Fun! Well, you guys will have to tell your dad about it while I talk to Aunt Y/N.” she said getting down to their level and handing them each a bowl of mixed fruits. “He’s in the living room. Go get him.” She said giving them a soft push that direction.
They both ran off laughing and calling out to their dad.
You watched as they ran off and laughed. Gen moved around the island and stood in front of you while leaning on the counter exactly across from you.
“So… How are things going with you and Cole?” she asked bringing your attention back to her.
“Uh. Good. Yeah, really good actually.” You said with a grin.
“James said that he talks about you all the time. If you ask me, it sounds more than just good.” She said with a sly smile.
“Really? It’s only been a little over two weeks, but yeah. It’s been pretty great.” You said with a slight blush rising.
“Why do I sense a but coming though?” she asked with a raised eyebrow.
“But? There isn’t any buts…”
She just stared at you with a knowing look.
“I wouldn’t say there’s a but, just- just a I’m still trying to see where this is going.” You responded with a scoff.
“And do you see it going anywhere?” she said propping her elbows on the counter.
“I mean yeah, but it's only been two weeks. We still have a while to go. Plus…”
“Plus, what?”
“I don’t know.” You got up and walked around to the island to grab an apple, Gen turning, and leaning against the counter with her arms crossed. “Jensen’s been acting really weird about it all.”
“How’s that?” she asked.
“Well first off, he’s been with multiple girls over the last couple of weeks. They never stay for more than one night, if you know what I mean…” you nodded her head slightly to show she knew exactly what you meant. “Also, when I bring up Cole it’s like a flip is switched. He becomes all distant and quiet about anything I say about Cole.”
“And… He’s not the one that gets to say you can, and can’t like someone.”
“I know, but it’s kinda off putting. Almost like it makes this thing for Cole and I seem… not so connected as I thought.” You finally spit out. “You know, now that I’m hearing it come out of my mouth it sounds crazy. Why should I care what Jensen thinks of my relationship? I mean we’ve only known each other for a little over a month.”
“Yeah, but you guys became really close in that month. I think like Jared and I, you care about his opinion on things. Therefore, deep down... you care about what he thinks of Cole.” She saw you contemplate what she was saying before continuing. “Now, I’m not saying you should up and leave Cole solely based on Jensen’s thoughts, but in a sense you want to keep his opinion in mind.”
“When did you become so wise?”
“Eh, call it a mother’s intuition.”
“You’re not my mom though.” You giggled.
“No, but I can see when someone I care for is at battle with themselves.” She said smiling at you, and uncrossing her arms. “For now, let’s put this in the back of our heads. I have some other things I wanted to talk to you about today.”
You took a bite of the apple. “And what may that be, mom?”
She playfully pushed you as she walked over to the counter and grabbed a stack of papers.
“So, I had this idea.”
“Lay it on me.” You said continuing to eat.
“So, around Christmas time we like to get group together and have a little party. Kinda like the Halloween, but more low key, and not AS wild.”
“Ok… I’m listening.”
“Well, we usually host it, but I thought that now Jensen and you live together you could host it this year. He hasn’t done it in the past since it was just him. I can help with the planning and set up, but like I said it’s low key. It can be a housewarming party for you guys.” She said laying out the papers in front of you.
“Ok, I’m following. What’s all this though?” you said laying the papers out on the counter to get a better look at all the notes she had.
“A list of the people that come, and some activities that we can do.”
“You have this all planned out already, don’t you?”
“You could say so.” She said with a proud smile.
“Ok sure! I would love to host a party. It’s a great way to make the home more like- like I actually live there. I’ll just ask Jensen what he thinks of it.”
“It doesn’t feel like you live there yet?” she said with a laugh.
“Well, I mean it does, but it still feels all kinda… Unreal still.”
“I get that.” She said. “So, what are your plans for today?”
“Not sure yet, probably go home, play some records to unwind, and figure out some Christmas gifts in my room.” You said going to throw away the apple core.
“Or you can help Jensen and I build that table.” Jared said walking in with both of the boys wrapped around his legs. “He told me about the desk you built. Said he it was quite impressive. I’m surprised Gen never told me about that little skill of yours.” He said wobbling over to her and wrapping his arms around her shoulders.
“Never came up.” She said winking at you.
You laughed. “I thought that competition was between you guys and Misha. No outside help.” You said with a hint of sass.
“Yes, but who says he needs to know.” He said with a smile that made his dimples show more.
“I don’t know…” you answered.
“Come on Y/N. Just a few pointers here and there?” he said with those big puppy eyes.
“Ok, I’ll see where I can put my two cents in.” you said rolling your eyes dramatically before smiling at him. “Only because you play the sad puppy too well.”
“Thank you! Jensen is actually on his way right now, so we can get started. I think we are going to do the whole presentation at the Christmas party.” Jared said bending down and grabbing Shep off his leg and moving him to his hip, as Thomas continued to cling to his other leg.
Your heart flipped slightly at the fact Jensen was coming. “What was that about?” You thought.
“Uh- do you guys have everything you need?” you asked.
“I think so. We got the wood, paint, screws, and stain just in case we want to stain it instead. All from your recommendations of course.” He said with a head bow to you.
“It was just a suggestion.” You laughed. “I just personally, I think that stain looks better. Homey and more cozy actually.”
“I agree, which is why I had Jensen pick some up on the way here.”
“Sounds good.” You laughed out. “Hey boy’s, you wanna help your dad build a table for you guys?” you asked bending down to them.
“Yeah!” they shouted.
“Ok! Let’s get our coats on, and go out to the garage to see what we can get started on while we wait for Jensen.” You said.
They jumped up and down before running to their rooms for the coats. All the adults in the room laughing at their reaction.
“You know how to rile them up don’t you Y/N?” Jared said watching the boys run up the stairs in the distance.
“Honestly, I think they can build a better table than Jens and you ever could. I only asked them so you have a fighting chance at this competition.” You said shrugging and going to put on your coat.
___
Twenty minutes passed, and sure enough Jensen showed up with about 5 different stains for the table. He pulled up seeing you in the garage with the boys pointing at the wood that Jared was holding up. Probably explaining to them what the steps were.
For some reason, that made his heart flutter like yours had early at the mention of his name.
“How the hell does she look so… perfect all the time?” he asked himself still in the car. He grabbed the bag of stains before getting out of the car. “It doesn’t help how she acts around kids. Shit, stop it Jensen. Get out, and go build a fucking table. Get out of your head.” He said shaking his head, and opening the truck door before walking into the large garage where you guys were standing.
“I come bearing gifts as asked.” He said holding up the sack with a wide smile on his face.
“Took you long enough.” Jared said.
“Well, I didn’t know what kind, so I bought a couple of choices.”
“I’m sure one of them will do the job.” You said standing up from your knelt position with Shep by your side.
“What do we have here? Helpers?” Jensen asked ruffling Thomas hair after putting the bag down. “Are you here to do all the work for me Tom?”
“NO! Dad said we can only help sometimes. You have to do the adult things.” Thomas replied jumping into Jensen’s arms.
“What? You mean I actually have to work?” he said putting him on his hip and tickling him.
“Yes!” Thomas answered in between giggles.
“Oh man!” Jensen said with a big smile. Then he looked over at you.
You were watching him with the greatest grin. You loved how he was with the kids. You were too wrapped up in the moment you didn’t notice him watching you. The only reason you were snapped out of your daze was because Shep ran and grabbed your legs, making your attention go to your balance.
“Whoa Shep. What’s the rush dude?” you said putting a hand on his head.
“Can you come with me to get a juice?” he ask quietly.
You laughed at the innocence. “Sure thing bud. Come on.”
“Make that two!” Jared yelled as he organized the boards.
“No, three!” Thomas yelled in Jensen’s arms.
“Alright! Jens you want anything?” you asked with soft eyes.
“Uh, nah. I’m good. Thank you though.” He said with a gentle smile.
“Ok. We will be right back.” You only broke your eyes from him because of Shep pulling you into the house.
Jensen watched as you left with a small, but happy grin on his face. He didn’t know how, but you always manage to put one on his face.
“Whatcha thinking about?” Jared said interrupting his thoughts.
“What? Huh?” Jensen said shaking his head.
“You’re staring.” Jared said plainly.
“No I’m not, I’m just-“
“Why do you look at Aunt Y/N like Dad looks at Mommy, Uncles Jensen?” Thomas said looking Jensen straight in the eyes. Jared trying to hide a laugh in the background.
“What, Thomas?” Jensen said putting him down.
“Kid’s pick up on the darnest things, but he’s not wrong.” Jared said agreeing with his son.
“Oh, so you’re going to side with the 6-year-old?” Jensen said walking up to Jared.
“He may be six, but he has eyes. Heck, we all do.” Jared said never breaking his attention from the task at hand.
“I don’t-“ Jensen scoffed. “I do not look at her like that. Besides, she has a boyfriend. It’s not like that.”
“Sure, but that doesn’t mean you don’t want it to be like that.” Jared said with a raised eyebrow at his friend.
“Jared-“
“I’ll drop it.” He said putting is hands up in surrender. “But I did overhear Y/N and Gen talking about you having some-“ he looked to see if Thomas was paying attention, but he was distracted by the cans of stains in the bag. “some ‘lady friends’ over the past two weeks. And if my memory serves me correctly, Y/N and Cole have been dating for a little over two weeks.” Jared said crossing his arms with a extended brow.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Jensen said going to mess with some of the tools to distract himself.
“Come on Jens. What’s going on? It’s not like we don’t all see what’s happening.”
“It’s nothing Jar. Really, don’t worry about it. I have it under control and I’m fine. Promise.”
“Yeah, I’ll believe it when I see it.” There was a pause before Jared continued. “You know you can talk to me about it. I don’t want you making the same mistakes and choices you did after Danneel.”
“I won’t.” Jensen said quickly and defensively. “It’s not like that this time. It’s completely different.”
Just then, the door to inside opened and Shep walked out with two juices in hand. Jensen quickly shot his friend a look that said ‘Drop it.’ Jared rolled his eyes and nodded back in agreement.
“Here’s your drink Jar, and Jensen I went ahead, and grabbed you one just to be safe.” You said handing the men the juice packs.
“Thanks.” They both said in unison.
“Sure thing. So, do you guys have a plan? Layout? Measurements?” you said looking around at the mess of wood.
“Uh, kinda. I was hoping that could be the part you help us on. I think we can handle the screwing and painting part of it.” Jared said rubbing the back of his neck while taking a drink from the tiny juice box in his hand.
You laughed, and turned to the troubled men. “Ok, but that’s all I’m doing. This is between you guys and Misha.” You said pointing fingers at them with squinted eyes in a joking way. “Show me what you got.”
___
About 30 minutes had gone by of you all trying to figure out the layout of it all. These boys were helpless with carpentry.
The kids left about 5 minutes after finishing their drinks, and went inside to watch a movie because they were cold, and bored not being able to help much yet.
“Ok that should give you a pretty good head start on all this.” You said putting down a pencil from writing the measurements and such down.
“Thank Y/N/N. We really appreciate it.” Jared said with a smile.
“Yeah, really. I didn’t realize you knew so much.” Jensen said looking you in the eyes.
“Like I said, my dad had a hobby, and out of his three kids, I was the only one who was interested. You just learn from there.” You said shrugging and putting your hands in your pocket.
“Well, it’s impressive.” Jensen said with a smile.
“Thank ya.” You said proud of yourself, and feeling a blush creep up your face. Realizing the redness, you quickly changed the subject. “Oh Jensen, I just remembered. I need to ask you about something.”
“Sure, what’s up?” he said stopping what he was doing and turning his body toward you.
“Gen said that you guys do a small Christmas party around this time with friends. She’s actually invited me in the past, but I was always with- well I was with Dipshit.” You said laughing awkwardly at the thought.
“Yes.” Jensen said with a smile and waiting for what was coming next.
“Well, she thought it would be a good idea to host it at our house this year. You know, kinda like a housewarming party in a sense.”
“Oh.” Jensen said taking a second to think it through.
“We don’t have to if you don’t want to. I understand if-“ you started, feeling as if he was against the idea.
“What? Oh, no! That sounds fine with me! I would love to host this year.” He said smiling, and putting his hands on your shoulders.
“Are you sure? I don’t want to push if you aren’t comfortable doing it.” You said looking up through your lashes.
God, he would do anything for you with that look on your face.
“No. Really. I would love to co-host and plan a Christmas party with you.” He said bending down to your height to meet your eyes.
“Ok.” You said smiling at him. “Then it’s settled. We will host the party this year.” You said all gleeful at the task.
You surprised him by wrapping your arms around his waist and giving him a side hug. He froze at first, but melted into it seconds later. You both didn’t move from that position.
“Besides, I don’t know how much planning will actually be done on our part. Gen already has a whole google doc on the games, food, and guest.” You said resting your head onto his shoulder.
His eyes went wide at the movement, but you couldn’t see it. A smile formed on his lips at the warmth of you, and squeezed you tighter into him without noticing it.
“I’m sure she does.” He said with a low chuckle.
You both stood like that for a few minutes as you talked with Jared about the soon to be table in front of you.
You don’t know why you leaned into his touch. You really didn’t think much of it until it happened. You didn’t feel regretful of it though. If anything you melted into it feeling a sense of home and warmth with him.
You were broken out of your daydream when your phone started to buzz. You pulled away from Jensen going to grab your phone in your pocket. Hesitantly, Jensen let you go, and watched as you scrambled for the device.
You finally got a hold of it, and saw the caller.
“One second, it’s Cole.” You said holding up a finger, and answering the call as you walked out to the driveway.
Jensen watched you walk away, and as soon as you were out of ear reach Jared spoke up.
“Dude, don’t stare like that. It looks like your about to bash someone’s brains in.”
“What? I’m not staring.” Jensen said never moving his eyes off of you. You looked worried. His face softened after seeing your expression change.
“Yeah, no. Not staring at all.” Jared said rolling his eyes. “Come over here and help me with this. You’re supposed to be building this with me you know?”
Jensen walked over to the project, but didn’t look away from you.
“Yeah, yeah. I’m here.”
“Eyes dude. You don’t want to drill your hand into the side, do you?” Jared said snapping his fingers in front of Jens eyes.
“Fine ok. I’m here, what do you want?”
Your conversation was only a few minutes long, but every chance Jensen had he would look up to check on you until you walked over.
“Everything ok?” Jensen said seeing tiny bits of worry on your face.
“Yeah, it was Cole. I guess he got in a car wreck.” You said still looking down at your phone.
“Oh my God!” Jared said rushing over closer to you. Jensen doing the same. “Is he ok?”
“Yeah, yeah. He has no injuries or anything. Everyone is perfectly fine. It was just a fender bender, but it was enough to total his car.” You said looking up and rubbing your eyes the exhaustion from the whole day falling over you. “He tried calling a couple of friends closer from where he is, but they are all out of town for the holiday already, or can’t come. I’m going to run and pick him up.”
“Yeah for sure.” Jared said putting a hand on your shoulder. “If you need anything call us, ok?”
“I will. Thanks, and sorry for running out like this. Tell Gen I’ll call her later tonight to go over things.”
“It’s fine Y/N. Go help out Cole.” Jensen said giving you a quick hug.
“Yeah, I’ll tell Gen what happened. Get out of here. We’ll be fine.” Jared said.
“Thanks guys. I’ll see you at home later Jensen!” you said running out to your car.
“Be safe!” He yelled after you never looking away till your car was completely out of sight.
“Yeah. You got it bad dude.” Jared said smacking him on the shoulder.
“Do not!” Jensen said turning back to his friend who just gave him a bitch face. “Shut up!”

Part 1/ My Masterlist
Tumblr media
The hotel door bounces slightly as you shove it closed behind you. You and Jensen are a tangle of limbs, ripping off layers as you move towards the bed in your room.
“On your knees.” Jensen pushes you down as he tugs open his buckle. You sink down to your knees immediately. You can’t help licking your lips as Jay tugs on the leather and pulls down his pants and boxers, his erection standing tall against his stomach. He lazily strokes himself a few times before bumping his swollen tip against you lips. You open up happily, dragging your tongue out along the vein on the underside of his cock. Jensen let’s you take over, sucking and licking and moaning around him.
“Jesus, you and that pretty mouth will be the death of me.” Jay groans out, his head lulling back in ecstasy. You run a hand up his stomach and dance you fingers over the muscle there, relishing in the way it flexes as he tries to hold back. With a pop, you let him slide from your mouth.
“Please Jay?”
“Tell me what you want baby.”
“I want you to fuck me.” He nods at you and hauls you up like he did outside the bar. Hastily you pull off your bra and panties, turning around to bend over the bed. There is no time for pleasantries tonight. You are dripping from all the teasing at the bar and your mind fuzzy with alcohol. All you want was to be fucked and fucked hard.
Jensen chuckles and smacks your ass before pushing inside you. You drop your head to your chest as your walls stretch to accommodate his size.
“So wet for me baby. God you feel amazing.” All you can respond with is a grunt of agreement as he starts moving inside you. The quiet room fills with the sounds of skin slapping against skin as Jay pounds into you. The swollen head of his cock is hitting your g spot with every thrust. It is torture, sweet, sweet torture. The coil in your belly is white hot as it tightens, and you know you aren’t going to last at this rate.
“Fuck Jay I’m close.” You whine.
“I know baby, come for me, I’m right behind you.” His fingers dig into the globes of your ass, his thrusts become erratic as the two of you chase your release. “Come for me Y/N/N.” He growls and slaps your ass again. White spots dance in your vision as your orgasm washes over you, and your legs struggle to keep you standing. Jay fucks into you slowly a few more times before grunting his own release and filling you with his seed.
Jay pulls himself from you and you can feel the mixture of your releases dripping down your thighs. “You look so hot all filled up with my cum.”
“Yeah well I should get you frustrated more often.” You giggle as you collapse onto the bed. Jensen is already pulling his pants back up. Watching him dress has reality seeping back into your post orgasm haze and you hate to ask your next question since you really already know the answer. “Do you have to go?”
“Yeah,” Jensen leans over you, his pants still hanging open, and he kisses you deeply. “I know it sucks baby, but-”
“But we agreed. No one knows.” You finished for him, both of you frowning as the regret of your joint decision bears down on you. It's moments like these that make you regret ever agreeing to lying to everyone about you and Jay. But when you decided, your relationship was so new and neither of you wanted to deal with the possible fallout from going public, at least not until you knew exactly what it was between the two of you.
“Hey,” Jensen brings you out of your thoughts with a hand on your cheek. “I love you.”
“What?” His words had sobered you more than the cold night air. He hadn’t said that to you before and why he chose now of all times to say it was baffling to you.
“I do. I can’t leave you tonight without telling you that. Singing with you up on that stage, it felt like it was just you and me out there, and I know that sounds cheesy,” You shake your head, knowing the exact feeling he was explaining to you. “But you and I have never felt more right. We can figure out what that means for us and our relationship tomorrow, but I really need to get back to my room before anyone else returns to the hotel.” He kisses you again before pulling his shirt back on. He’s almost out the door when your mind catches up. You sit up on the bed and call out to him.
“Jay,” He halts with the door cracked open and glances back at you. “I love you, too.” It felt good to say out loud, especially when he smiled at your words. None of your past relationships has ever quite felt like this. Nothing ever felt so right. It’s hard to put into words what he means to you, other than to say that Jensen feels like home. You didn’t feel whole or as safe as you did when you were together.
“Goodnight.” He slips out quietly as you fall back onto the bed, letting sleep take over your exhausted body.
****
The alarm on your phone has you jolting up in bed. Your limbs felt like jello but it only made you smile as you thought about the night before. You roll over and shut off the phone. You felt more rested than you thought you would on only three hours of sleep and a slight hangover, but you were still craving a shower and a big cup of coffee. So you start with the shower and follow it with hair and makeup. When you’re satisfied with how you look you grab your phone and head out of the room. You day at the con starts with solo ops before your solo panel.
Your phone vibrates as you jump into the car creation sent for you.
Good morning beautiful, I love you
 I love you, good luck.
“Extra shot.” You glance up at the driver as he speaks. The man points to an iced coffee sitting in the cup holder between the front seats.
“Oh yes please.” You hum and pick it up knowing Jay sent it for you.
And thanks for the coffee babe
I figured you’d need it, you had a late night ;)
He was always such a cocky bastard..
The trip to the convention center is quick and you are up in the green room before you know it. Sunday tended to be quieter since most of the quests were gone by now. This day is mostly dedicated to J2 as the boys are are called.
“Morning boys.” You smile at the band and Rich chilling in the room. “Excited to wrap up the weekend?” You ask as you take a cup of fruit from the breakfast table.
“Always. We’re getting too old for these late nights.” Rich rubs a hand over the stubbe on his chin.
“Speak for yourself.” Rob frowns. “How about you Y/N/N?”
“Uh, I have to go right back to set at five in the morning tomorrow, so I’d rather be basking in this bliss right now.” You close your eyes and take a dramatic whiff of your coffee. The group laughs with you as your handler comes to fetch you for your ops. “Toodaloo.” you wave as you abandon your breakfast and the boys to run off behind her.
The music is already bumping in the small room and you can hear the fans lined up outside. Your handler takes a minute to fix your hair as the line is brought in.
“Hey! Ya’ll ready to get this party started?” You call out to them with two thumbs up. Their cheers and the bass of the music playing has the adrenaline from last night returning. The joy and genuine love from the fans was one of the reasons you started acting. Telling a story that can resonate with someone else gave you the fuel to do your work.
You step up to the mark in front of the backdrop and the line starts moving. You try to take in each fan as they step up to you. You take an extra minute to hug those who look like they might cry and you hug the criers a little tighter. The line is moving fairly quickly but you notice a small group of girls huddled around a phone along the far line. One of them gasps and then looks up at you. Her furrowed brow sits uneasily with you though you can’t place why. You find it harder to pay attention as the group moves closer to you. The demeanor of each of them has shifted, they just seemed mostly confused.
“Hey ladies, what’ll it be?” You try to talk over the music.
“Uh, can we do the charlie’s angels pose?” One asks you. She isn’t really looking at you as she talks.
“Of course babes.” You smile and let them move you into position. Chris snaps the photo and they run off without a thank you. The end of the line appears in the doorway and you try not to focus on the small group of girls. When you hug the last fan, you let out a breath. You can’t shake why the encounter had you so rattled and you just want to get back to the green room to see Jay before your panel.
“This has been going off like crazy.” You handler hands over your phone. You unlock it to see hundreds of social media notifications, a missed call from your publicists and about a text from Briana that just says ‘call me’. Social can wait and your publicist probably just wants to talk about the press for next week, so you hit dial on Bri’s contact.
“What the actual fuck, I can’t believe you’ve been lying to me all this time. Oh girl, you deserve an academy award for your performance last night. You know you owe me all the juicy details now since you’ve been lying to me!” Briana doesn’t even bother with a greeting, her voice much higher than usual as she spits her words out in one breath.
“Whoa hold on a second there girl… what are you talking about?”
“Have you been living under a cave? I’m talking about the pictures all over the internet of you and Jay.” She scoffs and your heart immediately sinks.
“Pictures?” You whimper.
“Yeah pictures! You need to check twitter girl. And don’t think this conversation is over, you can’t sleep with Jensen and not tell me all about it.”
“I’ll call you later.” You swiftly hang up and pull up your twitter. There are so many notifications you can’t decide where to start. So you search your name, which you should not have done. Every sleazy tabloid had posted or shared pictures of Jensen pinning you in the ally, his hands clearly pushing up your dress, his lips attached to your neck. But the real kicker was you on your knees in front of him. Some asshole was lurking outside and caught everything. One part of you wants to be mad at Jensen for losing his control too soon last night, but the other part is secretly happy that you don’t have to hide anymore. You are just less than thrilled with the method of reveal. Though mostly, you are disgusted with the invasion of privacy, however unfortunately, as an actress, it kind of comes with the territory.
The comments are what you would expect to see. Some people were saying ‘finally’ and seemed supportive, but most are dragging you across the mud. Slut, whore, ugly, not good enough for him, are just a few of the things you were afraid of that had the two of you hiding your relationship in the first place.
“Fuck fuck fuck.” You don’t even wait for the handler before booking it back to the green room. The band is still around the table. Rob strums at his guitar as Jared and Misha chat by the food. Every head snaps up as you shove open the door and it bounces against the wall.
“Uh, hey,” you are slightly out of breath as you shove your phone in your pocket. “You guys seen Jensen?” You try your hardest to play it cool, but you are too antsy to find him to care.
“I think he went to the bathroom.” Jared smirks at you. It’s his smug smirk and you just know that he saw the pictures. Misha is wearing the same stupid grin and you blush furiously before rushing back out to the hall bathrooms. You don’t even hesitate to burst into the mens room.
“Y/N? What the hell are you doing?” Jensen whips around from the mirror he was just fixing his hair in front of.
“Uh,” you hesitate as you check under all the stalls to make sure you’re alone before locking the door.
“Babe, you’re freaking me out.”
“Freaking you out?! I’m freaking out!” you finally let it out. “Have you not been online recently? Our little sexcapade outside the bar last night is all over twitter! They have you kissing my neck, your hands up my dress. Christ they even have me on my knees in front of you.”
“They what?” He stiffens as he takes in what you are saying.
“Oh god, we both have panels and autos still to do today. I can’t answer their questions I can’t do it.” You are spiralling, you know that, but you don’t care. Now is the time to spiral.
“Honey, it’s going to be fine. All that matters it that I love you, and you love me.” Jensen wraps his fingers around your biceps and forces you to look at him. “Sure this is not what we had planned but we’ll figure it out. We both know how to professionally dodge a question.”
“This is so different, I don’t think we can just dodge this one. I’ve had no time to prepare.” You sniffle. “Plus I had these girls in my ops today that I’m pretty sure saw those photos and they wouldn’t even look me in the eye. I just wish we could do this together.” You cast your gaze down as you fight the tears. There are just too many emotions swirling around in your mind right now.
“So let’s do it. Lucky for you, I’m free during your panel, so I’ll chill backstage and if someone asks you, I’ll come out and we can answer them honestly. No more secrets.” Jensen brushes a stray tear from your cheek and you nod to him.
“Really? You’d do that?” Jensen nods. “Okay, no more secrets.” You agree before letting him kiss you softly.
 ****
The cheers are louder for you than you expected as Rich and Rob introduce you for your solo panel. Jay kisses your forehead and encourages you onto the stage.
“Chicago baby how are you!” You pump your free fist as you run onto the stage. You have never been more thankful to be an actor than at this minute. Years of acting experience is now making it easier to play it cool than you had expected. “It’s the day you have all been waiting for, we got the boys in the house and let me tell you Jared is rowdy back there. It ought to make for a great panel later.” you walk over and pull a chair center stage for yourself and sit in it.
“How about we let him get it out today so he doesn’t torture me on set tomorrow eh?” The crowd laughs with you and it lets you relax a little. “Now how about some questions?” You turn to your left to see a line almost halfway to the back of the room.
“Hi, so my question is actually about set. Every guest star just raves about being on the Supernatural set, so I was wondering about your experience?” the girl is dressed in what you assume is Castiel cosplay since you can only see the outline of a trench coat.
“Didn’t you just hear me? It’s torture. The moose nevers lets us get any work done. You’d think that maybe he takes it easy on the women but really the only thing you get relief from is being groped. He keeps that all for Misha.” You laugh and let the tension roll from your shoulders.
The panel continues with laughs and easy questions. Not one fan mentions the pictures. You sigh with relief when Rob appears to announce its time for your last question.
“Ooh one last one guys, make it count.” You joke and turn towards the opposite side of the stage of the last question. The relief is short lived as you recognize the girls from your photo ops earlier. You try to shake the queasy feeling from your gut and tell yourself that maybe they won’t ask.
“We just wanted to know if you could shed some light on the pictures that surfaced of you and Jensen this morning. We don’t want to assume anything and just want the facts from you.” You nod and bite your lip as you take a minute to contemplate your response.
“It’s only human to make assumptions. We are always telling ourselves stories about every moment of our life, we can’t help it. But I think Jensen and I would like to clear the air too, right Jay?” You turn your head back to where Jensen was waiting. He hops up the stairs to surprised and excited cheers from the crowd. The roar is deafening and you can’t help to feel safe now that he is by your side. Rob hands him his own microphone and Jensen waves out to the crowd.
“I think that would be an accurate statement.” He laughs as he comes to stand on your right. Jensen rests his hand on the back of your chair, his thumb rubbing your back. It was grounding and you are more than grateful that he wasn’t making you answer this question yourself.
“So, you may or may not have seen some pictures online this morning, and I won’t get into them specifically but the answer to the question you actually want to ask is yes.”
“Yes, that’s all you’re gonna say?” Jensen looks down at you. The crowd laughs and you have to fight an eye roll.
“You want me to spell it out for them, all the details?”
“Well, maybe not all the details.” He winks and you hear someone in the front gasp. “How about how head over heels in love you are with me?” Your jaw drops and its takes you longer than you wanted to come up with a retort. This time the whole room is gasping and you have to shake your head at his boldness. He never fails to surprise you, even after all this time.
“That’s a bold statement considering the one time you-” Jensen plants his hand over your mouth and the fans absolutely lose their minds. He tilts your chin to him so he can kiss you and you place a hand against his chest to push him away.
“Alright enough Ackles.” You lean around him to the girls, “Does that answer your question?”
“Yes but it gives me at least ten more.” The other girl by the microphone talks this time and you nod.
“Next time ladies, ‘cause that was the last question and I’m running away with this one.” Jensen takes your hand and you hop off the chair to let him drag you off the stage as the band plays the song they wrote for you. Jensen is pulling you along quickly, your shorter legs struggling to keep up with his long stride.
“Jay, slow down.” You giggle as you find yourselves in the hallway outside the green room. It’s filled with the usual security that follows the boys around.
“I can’t baby, cause you’re all mine, and now the whole world knows.” He pulls you into him, his hands enveloping your face as he forces you to look up at him. “Which means that I get to do this,” Jensen kisses you slowly, his tongue dragging over your lower lip and you open up to him. He pulls away when you both need a little air. “Whenever I want.”
“Yeah you do!” Jared, Misha, and the rest of the convention cast have their heads popping out of the green room. They are all cheering. You can’t help the laughter bubbling up inside of you. Come hell or high water, nothing will ever ruin this moment right now. All of the fears seem so stupid now, because you and Ackles, you are gonna be just fine.

Prompt: MpregJared with DaddyJensen pweaaasee :3333 Your writing is AMAZING!!
Thank you ! I’m so glad you like my work :). I hope this is good for you, tell me if it’s not
“I want to eat sushis so bad” Jared says, looking at the add playing on the television.
He’s head is resting comfortably on Jensen’s chest, the cover completely wrapped around him - thanks to Jensen- while his husband is rubbing his hair gently.
“Two months and I’ll take you to the best restaurant ever” Jensen says proudly, and yeah, maybe it’s cute, but Jared wants sushis now, not in two months.
“I want them now, Jen” He turns forward him, using his most charming smile “Please?”
Jensen smiles too, placing one of his finger in Jared’s dimple before dropping a kiss on his nose.
“No way” He replies, leaving no place for the conversation.
“Oh come on, it’s nothing”
“Yeah it is, sushis aren’t good for the baby” Jensen hand find his way on Jared belly, while his eyes are glue on Jared. “I don’t want him to be hurt. Nor you”
“I know” Jared sights. How is he supposed to be made at him when he’s acting like this, so protectively and lovely ? “I still want sushis, though”
Jensen laughs, his fingers tapping on Jared’s belly, hoping for a respond from their son.
“You’re a dick” Jared says when the baby kicks back “It’s not fun for me, you know that ?”
“Sorry” He isn’t, not at all, but Jared doesn’t mind, not when Jensen is pressing his face on his belly, dropping little kisses on it. “Hey son” He whispers “Do you think your dad is made at me?”
“Yes, he is” Jared replies, trying to hold back a smile.
“Outch, that hurts.” He puts his hand on his heart, pretending to be in pain “ Do you think he would be less angry if daddy gave him a kiss?”
“No”
“And what about a foot massage?”
“Maybe” Jared says, laying on his back.
Jensen smirks, giving one last kiss to his baby before sitting up, Jared’s feet in his hands. He can’t help but kisses every single one of his toes, much to Jared disgust.
He can’t believe that in less than two months, they will welcome their son : a mix between Jared and he, the fruit of their love, of their life together. He can’t wait to start this new adventure with Jared, can’t think of someone else who would be better for this. Jared is beautiful, smart, nice, and with a heart to big for his own chest. He’s everything Jensen always wanted.
“I love you” He says, rubbing Jared feet “both of you”
“I know” Jared smiles, looking at Jensen with heart eyes “We love you too, daddy”

reaction post typed while watching SPN 13x16 Scoobynatural
my mood after watching this: SCOOBY DOOBY DOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
03:33pm
HI FRIENDS
so full disclosure, i’m not feeling good at all and my hair is falling out!!! more than usual!!! so I’M REALLY HOPING THIS EPISODE MAKES ME FEEL BETTER
best case scenario, dean’s in the middle of a fred/daphne/cas lovefest, but frankly i’m more expecting a one-sided daphne-dean thing?? i think cas is probably just in this for the sake of having him there too but PLEASE GIVE HIM SOMETHING USEFUL TO DO pleeeease. i also figure dean ends up with the ascot because daphne gives it to him, not fred, but I AM WILLING TO BE SURPRISED
i’m not expecting actual proper bi dean and/or destiel, for the record. as fun and delightful as that would be. i’m just here to have a woofing good time
last night i watched “Scooby Doo! Shaggy’s Showdown” and it was GREAT and i thoroughly enjoyed it and I REALLY HOPE THIS EPISODE IS AS GOOD AS THAT WAS
as in, give me diverse background characters (i mean, if they can’t be be main characters), daphne actually having depth to her character beyond vanity, velma being 10/10 relatable and being genuine besties with daphne, fred being a useless lovable dork, shaggy being THE ABSOLUTE BEST & TOTALLY A ROLE MODEL, scooby being literally the coolest sweetest dog ever
BRING FORTH THE CARTOON ANTICS
-
03:45
HERE WE GO
-
03:46
at first i thought this dinosaur costume was a recap and i was like WHEN DID DEAN FIGHT A DINOSAUR
-
03:49
dean and sam mentioned a lizard and quite frankly this dude looks like a lizard
i half expected his tongue to poke out, barty crouch jr. style
-
03:50
dean: “TAKE IT EASY, SHE’S DELICATE”
love how dean makes every inanimate thing he cares about into a ‘she’
is this him sexualising random pieces of equipment; finding the thing impressive and therefore giving it the pronoun of the people who most inspire him; or is it a parenting instinct buried deep down that just happens to have a gender bias??
WILL WE EVER KNOW
from dean’s soft “shh” though i imagine it’s a parenting thing
precious tv needs to be loved and cared for like a baby
(i mean......... Baby is his car. definitely a parenting thing. BUT THEN ALSO HIS CAR IS SEXY???? CONCLUSION: DEAN HAS MOTHER/PARTNER/INTIMACY ISSUES)
-
03:56
dean: “be like elsa, let it go”
this boy has so many repressed childhood issues i don’t know where to start
HIS INNER CHILD NEEDS HELP
oh man i think i just realised what his growth this episode is gonna be. CONNECT TO THE DESPERATE INNER CHILD
SAVE HIM!!!!!
(sidenote: i did not realise i would be going into this and immediately begin psychoanalysing dean but there we go)
-
03:58
the dean cave
or the fortress of deanitude
ohhhhhhhhhhh boy
-
03:59
let me know when there’s a fic where dean and cas cuddle/fall asleep/boink in those plaid la-z-boy recliners huh.
or when dean, cas, and sam all want to watch something at the same time and there’s only two chairs sO SOMEONE’S GONNA HAVE TO SHARE
-
04:01
THEY’RE A CARTOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
04:02
dean: “are we animated? yes. is it weird? yes.”
reminds me of zootopia a little I LOVE IT I LOVE IT YAAYAYY
-
04:06

-
06:11
dean: “cas is kinda like a talking dog”
unsure whether to be offended on cas’ behalf or not
because on the one hand, RUDE
but on the other hand, the talking dog is the title character, the coolest one, the most beloved, and the most impressive of all
so
i suppose that was a compliment???
-
04:13

-
04:44
AH the fruits from the tree of life are pomegranates
OH COURSE. symbolising entrance to the underworld etc. etc persephone and hades
-
04:45
