They didn't destroy you
One-shot
Dean Winchester x Fem!Reader

Summary: After Dean escaped Hell, he's still traumatized and Y/N helps him through it.
A/N: It takes place at the beginning of season 4
Tumblr media
A terrifying scream tore through the night, waking me up with a start and making my heart beat faster. Even in my hazy state, I already knew who it was. I tried to open my tired eyes completely, then jumped out of bed to quickly get up and ran to his bed. The sight broke my heart. Dean, the fearless hunter and one of the bravest men I knew, lying here, shivering. Dean was drenched in sweat and tears, and he was all tangled in his bedsheets. I knew he was having a nightmare again. I slowly approached his bedside. “Dean”, I called softly while shaking his shoulder but he fought back. “Dean, wake up,” I said again as I kept shaking him. His eyes suddenly shot open and his body jolted as he sat up on the bed. His hands gripped my shoulders, making me jump back. He looked at me, completely panicked and his breathing was seriously labored. I could almost hear his heart beating.
“Dean, it’s okay. You are fine. You are awake, it’s over.” I attempted as I wiped his tears and reassuringly caressed his arms. “Y/N?” he asked, a bit stunned, with a clear relief in his voice. I smiled a bit at him and answered “Yeah, it’s me.” He looked anxiously around us and realization seemed to strike him and he suddenly released his grip on my shoulders. But it was to immediately wrap his arms around my belly. My heart literally skipped a beat at his gesture and goosebumps formed all over my skin. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to… I hope I didn’t hurt you.” he said with a raspy voice as he buried his face in my shirt. I melted in his tender embrace and hugged him back while caressing his hair gently. I could feel his tears soaking my shirt. “It’s okay. Don’t worry.” I assured him softly. His embrace slowly became tighter and tighter with each of my words, and his sobs grew louder. My heart shattered in a thousand pieces at the sight of this broken man. The man I loved more than anything. Dean would normally never let me see this part of him. But that night showed me how broken he really was.
For a moment, it was like we were apart from the world around us. It was just him and I, with his uncontrollable sobs for background noise. The worst was that I couldn’t possibly console him. Not after what he’s been through in Hell. Nothing could ease such trauma and pain. So, instead of talking, I just kept caressing his hair. But suddenly, I felt Dean removing his head from my shirt and I immediately looked at him, concerned. His eyes were red and puffy from crying and his cheeks were tearstained. Gently, my hand made its way to his face to wipe the stray tears, and he leaned his head on my hand. And he just looked at me, his eyes piercing through my soul. Silent tears were still escaping his eyes. He kept staring at me, in silence, as the tears still escaped his eyes. His eyes had lost their youthful shine. The only thing making them shine, now, was the tears.
Then, he opened his mouth and broke the silence. “Back there.” he said, gulping. “Back there, I yelled your name endlessly. Till my throat hurt, till I lost my voice.” he added, as his voice broke a little. I felt my eyes pricking a bit at his words. And before I could say something, I heard him taking a breath. “I never stopped thinking about you. You helped me to not turn into one of them. You were my anchor to my humanity. To everything I ever believed in. They kept beating me, torturing me till my body fell apart. Just to rebuild it and to do it all over again. They kept  saying terrible things about you and Sam. That you had forgotten about me, that you never loved me. But sometimes, I was able to remember the loving gaze you always give me, all your loving words. I was so scared to become a demon and that you…” his voice completely broke this time. Tears were now falling freely on my cheeks, completely overwhelmed by what he said. Images of what he had been through were flashing in my mind, making his words even more impactful as I let my imagination take over.
Dean stretched his right hand to slowly stroke my cheek with his calleous thumb. A small smile appeared on my face. His soft side was still there, meaning they failed to destroy him. Slowly, I bent my knees to give him a gentle kiss on his rosy lips. At first a bit surprised, he kissed me back, closing his eyes as he melted in my contact. I then ended the kiss and carefully sat next to him. His hand lightly took mine and his eyes were still on me. “Dean.”, I began softly. “What you are telling me proves that the demons failed miserably. They didn’t destroy you. You are still the most loving, and the most selfless person I know.” His eyes became a bit brighter as tears appeared again. “Those fuckers are just liars. They know nothing about love. About you. About us. They don’t know all the things I did to try to get you back. They don’t know how much I love you. They are unable to fathom a love like ours. I’m going to help you through it. We’ll fight the nightmares together.” I made a pause and looked at his face. The expression of his eyes, full of love,  made my heart swell. “I love you, Y/N” was all he said. But he didn’t need to add anything else. All the unspoken words he wanted to say could be read in his eyes. And he leaned again for a soft kiss.
After that kiss, I finally got up to get him a glass of water but a gentle hand snaked around my wrist and his broken voice whispered “ Please, don’t leave me.”  I turned my head to look in his direction.I surrendered the idea of water and simply replied softly “I didn’t have the intention to.” I swiftly closed the distance between us and embraced him in my arms. After a few minutes in this position, I made a gesture to invite Dean to lay down. And we finally both laid down on the bed. Dean cried a bit longer on my chest before falling asleep. “I love you.” I mumbled as I placed a kiss on his forehead and I soon fell asleep too.

I Choose You
Pairing: Dean Winchester x reader
Category: Hurt/Comfort
Summary: You wake up in the hospital after a brutal beating with a demon that nearly killed you. Thinking he had lost you, Dean shows you just how much you mean to him.
Warning: Mention of injuries, mild language
Note: This is yet another story I found in my drafts from over two years ago that I started and didn’t finish. Probably not my best work, but I hope you enjoy <3
Tumblr media
“Baby,” your brow furrowed, reaching out to brush your hand against Dean’s arm. “Dean.”
Dean’s head jerked up from where he had been slumped over your bedside. “Baby.” He grabbed your hand, eyes glassy with exhaustion and tears.
     “Dean,”
“I’m here, baby, I’m here.” He reached for you, cradling the side of your face. “How’re you feelin’?”
“M’sore.” You looked around you, foggy head beginning to clear. You were in the hospital. Machines beeped by your bed, keeping track of your pulse. Your arms were covered with thick white bandages. Much of your exposed skin was littered with scratches and ugly purple bruises. Sam was in the corner asleep in an uncomfortable looking plastic chair. He looked awful but Dean looked worse.
“What, why am I,” you reached up, fingers curling around his wrist. “The demon.”
     “Got you pretty bad.”
     “Did you get him?”
“Sent him straight back to hell.” Dean made a brave attempt at a smile for you, but his eyes continued to shine with unshed tears.
“Dean.” You nuzzled against his palm, kissing his skin with chapped lips. “Dean,”
“I thought,” Dean cleared his throat, glancing over at Sam before returning his focus to you. “I thought I’d lost you.”
“I’m okay, just a couple scratches.” You tried to lean closer but winced, causing Dean to grimace. “I promise I’m okay.”
“No, you’re not. God I hate this life,” A tear slipped down Dean’s cheek. “You shouldn’t have been in that fight, I should have protected you,”
“Dean, I chose to fight by your side,”
“You shouldn’t have to choose that, I shouldn't be a hunter in the first place!”
“Shh,” you looked over at Sam to make sure he was still asleep, watching his relaxed face for a moment before looking back at Dean. “Dean,”
Dean had his head in his hands, shoulders taunt with frustration and so, so many unshed tears. You nudged him, hand slipping through his hair and sliding to his neck when he looked up at you. “It’s worth it.” You whispered, eyes beginning to sting with tears of your own. “We save people, Dean. We hunt monsters and send them back to hell.”
     “Baby, you nearly died,”
“And I'd do it again, okay?” The tears began to fall as you grabbed his hand and held it tight. “I choose you, Dean. And this life. I don't wanna be or do anything else.”
Dean smiled at that, a smile soft and pained. And still, after everything he’d been through, a smile. For you. “I love you.”
“I love you too.” You kissed his bruised knuckles, closing your eyes as Dean shifted closer to kiss your forehead. “You’re mine.”
Dean chuckled softly. “And you’re mine.” He whispered, sealing the promise with another kiss.

Paring- Dean Winchester
Series- supernatural
Warnings- lotta fighting, course it’s the supernatural- that means guns too and ghosts. Kissing, erm might be some swearing it is me we’re talking about.
Summary- you’re introduced to the famous Winchester brothers by their dad on a hunt. Where you connect with Dean quite a lot more than you thought you would. Developing feelings fast, thanks to his dad’s plan all along.
No real timeline in this.
Requests are open my lovelies, any and all characters <3
Tumblr media
John drove his car into the run down flat car park and parked it in once of the spaces. “I’m sure this case won’t be easy” he told his sons. “Since when do me and Sammy like easy” Dean chuckled flashing his teeth and cocking his gun.
I recognised the famous car straight away and eyed it up from my car parked in the shadows. I couldn’t really see anyone’s faces so it was lucky I knew the car. My gun was slid into my belt behind my back and I pulled my top down covering it before opening my door and stepping out. Confidently, I walked towards the car in the hope they’d get out and I wouldn’t be standing there awkwardly. I was right, they did. John first of course. I knew he was bringing his two sons but I’d never met them before.
Id heard endless story’s about the famous Winchester brothers who had cheated death multiple times and killed hundreds of demons and the rest of the ugly’s in our world. “Hi darling, are you okay” John came over to hug me. I smiled embracing him back “of course, I always get excited when you call John”. “dad who’s this?” One of them asked as the two brothers stepped out of the car apprehensively.
He turned to his two sons with a beam “this is y/n, she’s the only daughter of one of my dear friends who passed, I thought I’d call in some back up for this hunt”. “You’re a hunter?” The one with shorter hair raised his eyebrow looking me up and down. “Yeah, do I not fit the description?” I smirked putting my hand on my hip. “Not particularly- never met a hunter that looks like- you” he smirked, his face a tad more comfortable now. “Dean- that’s Sammy” he introduced himself.
I nodded at him “nice to meet you, though I feel like I already do- I’ve heard a lot of stories” “so you’re a fan?” He walked over to me leaning on the car slightly. “I’d use the word impressed, rather than fan” I folded my arms trying to keep his ego in tact. He was even better looking closer up, his eyes were a gorgeous green colour and his smile lit up the dark night that surrounded us. “Enough chitter, we have a case at hand” John nodded towards the block of flats.
Sitting here waiting I’d already analysed every part of the bock. They were clearly run down, needed more than just a lick of paint. They needed to be knocked down. But it was still someone’s home and still my job to save it. We walked inside and went towards the lift. “It’s out of order, we’ll have to use the stairs” Sam stated pointing behind him. So we turned back around and went up the stairs. “What floor is it?” Dean asked John who was at the front of the group and first up the stairs.
“Thirteen” he answered with a smile. “Thirteen! You want me to walk up thirteen staircases?” “Technically there’s two for each floor- so it’s actually twenty six” Sam joked from the back of the group. “I’m sure you’ve faced worst Dean” I giggled turning to look at him. “I’d rather face twenty six demons! with no weapons, than climb this many stairs” he wined as we kept walking. “Don’t wish too hard- we have no clue what we’re walking into here” John warned him.
When we eventually got to the top floor (after Dean had been moaning the whole time and prolonged us) we headed for the door number given to John. He knocked three times before a woman opened the door. We could only see one eye, the chain restricted the door opening fully. “Oh good- I thought you were her again” she breathed closing the door and reopening it with no chain. She was a short woman with a brown bob and big blue eyes. Her lips were thin but were smothered in red lipstick.
Though she was slightly shaking when standing in front of us. “Hi- my names y/n- this is John we spoke to you on the phone” I smiled small just to let her know we were friendly, while I also looked around the apartment. “I’m Vanessa, Come in, come in- thank you for coming” she waved her hand indicating for us to come in, showing her chipped, bitten nails. However what fascinated me more was the rings she had on her finger. One of them looked like it could have been made out of bone, it had an amazing purple crystal on it that almost appeared to be glowing. “This is your house?” Dean questioned looking around. It wasn’t the tidiest, in fact there were bin bags everywhere and bare shelves. It looked like she was getting ready to move out.
“No- no no this was my mothers house, come- shall we sit in the living room I will explain the story” she closed the door and then waddled past us with her finger in her mouth. Me and Dean looked at each other, I could tell he was just as sceptical as I was. John was first in the living room of course, he was sat down opposite her. Dean sat next to his dad and I sat next to Dean leaving Sammy to sit next to the woman. It was probably for the best, I’d heard he was the most sympathetic of the Winchester men.
“So this was your mother’s house? And you don’t live here?” Dean raised an eyebrow. “No I live in England- I flew here for a few weeks to clean out my mums flat because- she passed you see” she bit her lip. But it wasn’t a sad look that flooded her face it was a guilty look. I picked up on this instantly. “You didn’t speak much huh?” I tilted my head, the two brothers looked at me with a confused expression but their attention was soon moved back onto Vanessa. “No we didn’t, she hated me for moving to England- she felt like I was leaving her and- I did- we lost contact, it was my fault but my now husband he didn’t want to move to America so I had no choice” she shrugged clearly tearing up.
“So- why have you called us here Vanessa” Sammy said in a soft voice. “Well you see, when I came here- things started to go wrong, I would pack things into bags and then they would be all put back when Id turn back around” she explained to us. “There’s messages on the mirror when I shower telling me to get out of the house- objects flying across the room trying to hit me- I haven’t been able to get anything done” she shook her head and her bottom lip began trembling.
“Well I think we know what the problem is here” I looked at John who nodded at me. “I just want to pack up so I can sell this place and move on with…” in that moment a loud bang came from the corridor cutting Vanessa off. “Oh not again!” She whimpered into her hands. Me and Dean jumped up but when i opened the door a lady with long grey hair and a long white nighty ran towards me screaming and pushing me backwards. I went flying into Dean who practically caught me. I had to reset quickly because she was still coming.
“ANYONE HAVE SALT?” I shouted dodging her attacks before she disappeared. Vanessa at this point was screaming, John and Sam had jumped up. “Only in the car” John whispered feeling pretty vulnerable in the open like this. We all did. “I have some! In the kitchen” Vanessa got up to go and get it but as soon as she stood, an ornament from the fire place was thrown directly at her. She ducked moaning out in distress and it smashed against the wall. I eyed the door and then made a run for it to the kitchen. “Y/n!” Dean shouted after me but as he ran to the door it swung, slamming shut.
“Y/n!” He shouted pulling the door, however it didn’t budge. I was busy anyway, I ran to the kitchen past all the stuff the ghost had broken in the hallway. She was standing in the kitchen with her head on her shoulder smiling. “You need to leave this place!” I hissed at her slamming my eyebrows down. She raced towards me but I dodge her, she quickly turned and smacked me into the table and chairs. They broke underneath me and so I hit the wall. But the ghost was still there. I got up as fast as I could eyeing the salt in the cupboard that was open.
However, when I reached for it everything in the cupboard flew out at me. I squealed being attacked by a bag of pasta and a tin of carrots, before a package of oats hit me on the side of my face knocking me to the ground. The ghost made a run for me again but I reached for the salt, opened the bottle and chucked it at her. She let out a scream before she disappeared momentarily. I heard the front room door opening before thundering footsteps in the hall way. “Are you okay?” Dean blinked rushing over to help me up. He took my hand and then my hip and I looked up at him when I stood.
Our bodies were basically touching and his arm was around my waist. His eyes drew me in so much I didn’t know what to say. “Y/n?!” John rushed, so he could get an answer from me. I nodded pulling away from Dean but patting him on the chest. “Yeah I’m fine thank you” I tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear nervously. I got her with the salt. Sam and Vanessa walked in looking at the mess on the floor. “My goodness- my mother is the one trying to hurt me” she winced again covering her mouth with shock. “In my opinion Vanessa- your mum doesn’t want you to move her stuff out” I told her softly.
“And as you didn’t have a great relationship I’m guessing she doesn’t want you taking her stuff or even being in her house” “but she left it to me” she shook her head confused about the situation. “Y/n is right, she doesn’t want you here” John validated, giving me a nod. “Perhaps she couldn’t change her will- but she definitely wants you gone” Dean nodded to Vanessa. “So what do we do?” She trembled looking to John for an answer. “Well first we need…” Sam started talking but his father cut him off. “Y/n, show us how it’s done” John raised his eyebrows at me.
Any case I went on with him he’d give me more and more responsibilities, but never full control. My smiled turned into a grin and I threw him a knowing look. “Where was your mother buried Vanessa?” I turned to her, “um- just across town in the Catholic Church graveyard” “and her name?” I raised an eyebrow. “Dorthy gale- how ever will that help us?” “We need to burn her body, that will get rid of her once and for all” I explained feeling pretty confident in what I was saying. I was a pretty good hunter but it was a natural thing rather than a learning thing.
I could fight but the information was always harder for me to attain. John helped me quite a lot and of course my other hunter friends. But I still studied quite a lot on my own. “We should split up- two of us will go and burn the bones and two of us will stay here incase Dorthy comes back” I looked to John for validation and he smiled eying his son next to me. “You and Dean should go to the graveyard- me and Sam will stay here” he nodded at Dean who looked like he was taking this very seriously.
“Here” I passed the bottle of salt to Sam. “You can make a circle in the front room” “yeah, and we will look for any iron” he nodded to his dad who liked the plan. We all started moving to go to our stations but as me and Dean went to leave John called out his name. “You look after her okay” he smacked his son on the back. “She’s my top priority” he nodded once. “She is” he agreed before walking off to the living room. Dean put a hand on my back as we exited the front door, to gently move me.
“Any idea why my dad paired us up?” He raised an eyebrow at me with a smirk. “Maybe he thought you needed my protection” I shrugged laughing “or maybe he’s bored of you so he chose a different pair” “oi” I laughed hitting him on the chest as we descended the stairs. He was a lot more chatty and a lot less winey on the way down. “So you’re dad? What was his name?” “Oh I didn’t know my dad- he left before I was born” I smiled innocently, not really caring because I’d never known anything different. “So- my dad and your mum were friends”.
“Uh huh, they met on a case- she was almost a victim of a vampire attack but he saved her and taught her what’s really out there” I explained as we got into deans car. “So she became a hunter?” “No- she kept her job as a lawyer but she knew- so she was prepared- she taught me everything John taught her I do think she secretly went on a few hunts behind my back but nothing I remember” I shrugged thinking about her. “Do you mind me asking how she passed?” He looked across to me sadly. “No- it was a demon, it came for her hunter friend and she was collateral damage I suppose- I came home from a friends house to my front door being open and the scene in the dining room”.
“I noticed it wasn’t human so I called some of her other hunter friends and- one of them must have told John because he came- he was really good to me” I explained thinking back to the incident. A smiled crossed my face because if I didn’t think about the good, I’d cry about the bad. “I’m sorry” Dean rubbed my thigh as he drove. I put my hand on his and traced it with my thumb. “You don’t have to be, I’ll see her again one day, I have the memories of her and I fight for her everyday- eradicating as many of these things as I can to avenge her”.
“You’re brave- I like your attitude” he told me with a smile as we parked in the church. “Well now you know my story” I shrugged looking across at him. “She’d be proud of you” he nodded seriously at me, I could tell it had reminded him of his own mother. “Mary would be proud of you too Dean” I beamed before getting out the car. Dean grabbed two shovels from his boot of tricks and we headed to find her grave. We said whoever’s first gets to drop the lighter but Dean found it first and made sure I knew about it. He just made me laugh the whole time. Maybe I was starting to feel a little something for him.
It didn’t take us very long to dig it up, he dropped the lighter of course but he let me pour the petrol. And we stood there for a few seconds, just watching the flames eat her bones. “Id hate to be this vengeful when I pass” I whispered to him. “You won’t be” he shook his head rubbing my back as I stared into the pit of hell. “Would you burn my bones for me Dean- if I did” I put my pinky finger out to him. He looked at it chuckling before pinky promising me. “You have to do the same for me though” “it’s a pact” I nodded with a big smile looking into his eyes again.
Even though it was dark they still shone through the shadows at me. We were still holding our pinky’s together as we stared at each other. His other hand came up to my face and he brushed my cheek softly. I moved my head forward and with that I saw a panic spread in his eyes. “I should- call my dad- tell him it’s done” Dean nodded trying to find his phone in a fit. “Yeah- you should do that uh huh” I nodded awkwardly putting my hair behind my ear. I was glad it was dark because my face had probably turned very red by now.
Dean let John know what we had done and we made our way back to the car in silence. But all I could think about was that moment between us. The way he looked when the moonlight shone on the side of his gorgeous face. The silence between us wasn’t awkward it was just, sad. Something was telling me we both wanted it to be a moment but something we couldn’t control was stopping us. Deans phone rang distracting my thought process. “Dad?” He answered confused about why he was ringing. “What are you talking about? We just burnt the bones?” Dean frowned, knitting his eyebrows together.
“I don’t know- we’ll be back in a second” he ended the phone call and put the gas on harder. “Dean?” I questioned “she’s not dead” he answered gritting his teeth together. “What- how can’t she be dead I don’t…” I trailed off thinking. “I don’t know- we got all the bones” dean tutted getting pissed off by the situation. “No- we didn’t” I shook my head as we drove into the apartment blocks again. I flung open the door and he followed. “Grab the salt gun” “y/n! What are you talking about?” Dean questioned as he threw open his boot. “Vanessa’s ring- it’s made of bone I’m sure it is”.
“Her ring?” Dean repulsed as he closed his boot and ran towards the entrance doors. “I saw it when we came in- that has to be why dorthy is still there” I shook my head positive in what I was saying. I was always a very observant hunter. There wasn’t any time to talk this trip up the stairs. We ran as fast as we could. I pounded on the front door but it wasn’t opened by anyone when it creaked ajar. The apartment was silent, I looked to Dean apprehensively before a loud bang came from the bedroom. “Sammy!” Dean yelled in search for his brother, running past me. “Bedroom!” Sam called before another bang came.
Vanessa was there and John too being cornered by this thing. “There was no iron” Sammy called out. Dean shot Dorothy instantly with the salt gun and she vanished. “Vanessa” I called out “your ring, the purple one- what’s it made out of” “uh- uh it’s my mother’s finger bone- I wanted to keep her close all the time so I had this made just after her burial” she bit her lip spinning it on her finger. “So we did miss a bone” John realised peering at the ring. “I take it you need to burn this” she slid it off clutching it to her heart. “Goodbye mum” she whispered before plodding over to me.
Dean took his lighter out but as he did I was pushed out into the hall way and I dropped the ring. Dorthy was back. I scrambled up while Dean tried shooting her again. It had rolled into the kitchen and I leaped to clutch it in my hands. I looked around setting my eyes on the gas stove. I turned the knob on it seeing the flame rise. In that moment the ghost appeared in front of me making a run for me. I dropped the ring in the fire and she let out an ear splitting scream. The group ran into the kitchen as the ghost caught fire and eventually, vanished for good this time.
“Is it over?” Vanessa blinked in a state of shock. I nodded looking at the ash of the ring now on the cooker. Dean came over to me putting his gun on the side and rubbing my back. I laid my head on his chest taking it all in while he comforted me. “You’re so brave” he whispered to me. “Thanks for having my back” I smiled up at him. We eventually said our goodbyes to Vanessa who thanked us and even dove into her purse giving us a fair share of money for our work. We told her it wasn’t necessary but she insisted. The walk down the stairs was silent and I took a deep breath of fresh air when we got outside.
“I never wanna see them steps again” Dean huffed making Sammy laugh at him. “It was nice to meet you y/n” Sam reached out to shake my hand. “Mmh likewise, I can’t wait to tell this story the next time someone brings you two up” I giggled behind my hand. “It was a pleasure” he chuckled before walking off to his car. John came over to hug me goodbye. “Always nice working with you y/n” he breathed squeezing me. “I can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me John” I whispered hugging him tightly back. “You don’t need to thank me sweetheart, you stay strong yeah, I’m sure I’ll see you soon” he pulled away but still kept a hand on my back to rub it.
I nodded a few times before turning to Dean who looked like he was waiting patiently. “Well” I sighed smiling, waking over to him. “You ever need help on a hunt- feel free to call me” “I just might take you up on that Dean Winchester” I giggled tucking my hair behind my ear, but I knew I was lying. “Goodbye y/n” he wrapped his arms around me holding me tightly. “It was nice meeting you Dean” I swallowed against his chest. Something tugged in my heart when we walked away in different directions. Something that could have been will never be and so I got back into my car, and they got into theirs.
“What do you think of her?” John smiled at his sons but focused his attention on Dean. “Yeah she’s great, a good hunter- she’ll be really skilled one day” Sammy emphasised from the back seat. Dean kept quiet. “Dean?” “Yeah I agree- with what Sam said” he nodded and shrugged his shoulders. “You seemed to connect quite a bit” “yeah she’s cool, knows what she’s doing” “so… anything else?” John smirked trying to him something. “Dad I don’t get what you’re trying to get at?” Dean shrugged his shoulders again but in more of a stroppy way. “Oh my gosh” he put his hands on his face. “Did you like her Dean” Sam rolled his eyes chuckling in the back.
“What no- that would be disrespectful to you dad I wouldn’t do that”. John frowned shaking his head “why do you think I invited her on this case? I wanted you two to meet- I think you’d be good for each other”. Out the corner of deans eye he saw my car pull out the apartment car park. “You- wanted to set us up?” Dean rose his eyebrow watching my car. “Yeah” John widened his eyes. “You should have given her your number- instead of just empty promises you didn’t plan on keeping” John rolled his eyes laughing. “But- I thought you’d be fuming” “no Dean” he laughed shaking his head.
“Dad- please- catch up with her!” Dean pointed to my car flying down the road. “Yeah?” “Yes- I need to tell her I like her!” He frantically thrusted his hand toward my direction. John started the car up and sped out and down the road following me. It didn’t take them long to catch up with me. I saw John indicate on a lay by and did the same thing, assuming they wanted to say something to me. Dean jumped out the car and ran toward me. “Did you forget something?” I questioned opening my door.
“Yeah- to give my my number and ask you the time I’m picking you up for our date?” “What- are you talking about” I half smiled probably going red again. “I’m sorry I pulled away- I didn’t think my father would appreciate me making a move on you- but I like you y/n, I know you were lying you were never going to call me because I pulled away but I want you to” “I’ll take your number Dean- and you can pick me up on Saturday- at seven” I smiled passing him my phone. “Sounds good, looking forward to it” he grinned typing in his number and then passing it back. “Do you know what else I will have though Dean?” I smiled leaning in closer to him.
“That kiss that you owe me”. He chuckled putting his hand on my cheek and rubbing it before he leant down and met my lips. His were soft, he was gentle with me which I wasn’t expecting for such a big man. My cheeks burned red across from his as we met with the exact same rhythm. “You definitely left me wanting more Dean Winchester” I smiled up at him. “I’ll see you Saturday gorgeous” he whispered quickly kissing me on the lips again.
“Can’t wait” I waved as he was walking back to his car. What the fuck. Hold on, rewined.
I’m going on a date with THEE Dean Winchester.

Wild Hearts (Part 4) - Postcards From Dean
Tumblr media

Masterlist
Pairing: AU!Dean x reader
Square: Postcards @j3bingo
Word Count: 743
Warnings: underage, age gap (reader is 16-22, Dean is 20-26), language, slow burn, long distance relationship of sorts, pining, maybe a little angst, time jumps, fluff
A/N: This part was written for @j3bingo go as a collection of AU postcards from Dean to Y/N.
_____
A few of your favourite postcards from Dean - from the six years you were apart.
___________________________________
Hey Y/N,
What do you write on a postcard?
Dean
P.S. I picked up a stack of these at a rest stop on the way to Sioux Falls and I thought you'd like some old school snail-mail. I'm aware that your parents and the mailman will probably read this too, so... I'm sorry I got your daughter into trouble and now she has- what, ten hours of community service left? But, she's kind of a badass and saved my life so don't go too hard on her.
P.P.S. And to the mailman: Not cool, dude.
___________________________________
Dear Y/N,
Sam told me to start these with 'Dear' instead of 'Hey', I kind of like the way it sounds so I let him be right for once. Bobby and Jody are pretty cool, they won't even let me pay rent so we can save more money. We'll have a place of our own in no time now.
xo Dean
P.S. I hope the 'x' is okay, if not I blame Sam. If so, it was all my idea. You can't tell but I just winked at you.
P.P.S. It's my birthday and Jody made me a cherry pie! It was so good, I had every intention of saving you a piece but now I'll just have to learn how to make one for you instead. Can't wait for your phone call tonight so I can tell you all about it.
___________________________________
Dear Y/N,
It took a little longer than I thought but we just moved into our own apartment! It's closer to Sam's college but we can still visit Bobby and Jody with a short car ride.
xo Dean
P.S. Think you'll come visit me on your gap year?
___________________________________
Dear Y/N,
It snowed today! And I'm making pasta tonight. You can drool over it via video chat later. I wish we were in the same time zone so you could ring in the new year with me too.
I’m missing you a lot lately,  xo Dean
P.S. I'm sending you a big fat kiss. You can put it where you want it. X
P.P.S. To the mailman: Get your mind out of the gutter. She's a lady!
___________________________________
Dear Y/N,
I'm seriously craving Donna's mocha ice cream right now. I think it would go great with Jody’s cherry pie recipe. Don't knock it till you try it!
xo Dean
P.S. Sam hasn't stopped playing that playlist you made him for studying. I swear you have the worst taste in music. I'm going to make you a playlist tonight.
___________________________________
Dear Y/N,
I think I like the mountains on this postcard best, we should take a roadtrip there together, maybe next Valentine’s day?
x Dean
P.S. I don't like airplanes.
P.P.S. But I'm going to take you to all the places on these postcards some day.
P.P.P.S. I hope you're still pinning these postcards to your wall so you can hold them over my head some day.
___________________________________
Dear Y/N,
I'm sorry.
xx Dean
P.S. If I could have one superpower it would be the ability to control the weather.
P.P.S. Getting snowed in would be a lot more fun WITH you.
P.P.P.S. Maybe my superpower should’ve been teleportation! Damn it, is it too late to change my answer?
___________________________________
Dear Y/N,
I just dropped Sam off for his first year of law school. I feel old. Luckily, he got another scholarship though, so I don't have to worry about paying his tuition. Kid's a major nerd.
x Dean
P.S. I'm actually in California! The salt air here makes me think of home, of you. You feel so far away right now. I'm not even looking at the same ocean. That sucks.
P.P.S. We haven't talked in a while and I know that's mostly my fault, but I wanted to give you a heads up. I'm coming home... Soon.
___________________________________
Dear Y/N,
Did you notice there's no stamp?
Always yours,
xoxo Dean
P.S. I was going to tell you to meet me where I first kissed you but that's a hell of a walk. So meet me under our streetlamp. The one where you put ice cream on my nose the first night we met.
P.P.S. I hope you come, I can't wait to see you. But I understand and no hard feelings if you don't.

A perfect match?
Series Masterlist
Everything was different when you opened your eyes. Everything was different once again. Without knowing where you were, you sat up, rubbed your tired eyes and took a look around you. A pair of bright green eyes starred back at you through the dark. Hearing a deep rumbling voice saying that everything is fine now , you felt a shiver run down your spine and everything turned. The darkness welcomed you back once again…

After Y/N took a shower and cried some more, she finally felt more comfortable. She put on the flannel Dean had brought her and shut him out, his thoughts and feelings. The only thing that mattered to her right now was adjusting to the new setting, to this new life with an Alpha that didn’t care about her. The thought of it pinched her heart and made her sad once again but she bottled her feelings up and dried her hair.
Right now she was very happy that she had a normal childhood and her parents did not raise her like other Omega’s would have been brought up. This was very beneficial to her because it did not take her too long to adjust to life. Life in the Omega facility was like living in the 1950s, the mindset, the technology - everything basically. Y/N was determined to prove to Dean that she was worthy of being his Omega, that she could care for him, be there for him and provide for him.
After stepping out of the bathroom, the other tall man was in the room as well. His name seemed to be Sam, at least that’s what she thought. “Hi, I’m Sam.”, he said, smiling and bringing her in for a hug. Dean growled in the background. “I’m Y/N”, you answered. “I brought you some food from the Diner down the road, I didn’t know what you might like and how hungry you would be, so I just brought a little bit of everything”, Sam said once again and gave you a plate, sitting down at the small table at the other side of the room. You looked at Dean, then took a plate and loaded it up with food, sitting down next to Sam at the table, only to be followed shortly by Dean. “We need to talk”, he said into your ear. The three of you ate and talked. You really liked to see how relaxed Dean was with Sam around, how happy he looked but mostly you like to hear him laugh. It was really deep and his eyes lit up, sparkling. Y/N really wished he would look at her like this but anytime his glance crossed her his mood darkened.
After the three of them finished eating, Y/N immediately got up and started cleaning the table. Sammy excused himself to give the two of them some space. “Listen, Y/N”, Dean says as soon as Sam left. “I didn’t mean to hurt you earlier. I’m really sorry if I did. But you have to understand that my life is really dangerous. This is not a bad excuse, since I’m already feeling so much for you. I admire you, I adore you and I am just feared for your well-being because your so dear to my heart..” Y/N looks at him, feeling something inside her stomach, not quite certain how to feel. She just nods and then feels him coming up behind her. Dean wrapped his arms around her back, burying his head in her hair and started sniffing. Y/N just stopped moving all together: “Are you crying?” Dean tried to chuckle but she turned around and wiped the tears from his face, trying to calm him down. The emotions she felt just by seeing her Alpha cry nearly knocked her to the ground. On one hand she was still very upset with what he had told her earlier but on the other hand she felt something deeper, like a deep connection between the two of them. “We will figure this out together, okay Alpha?”, she looked up into his forest green eyes and put her hands on both sides of his face, forcing him to look into her Y/E/C eyes. Anytime they looked into each others eyes Y/N felt as if all the air was sucked from her lungs, she felt helpless and love struck. The two of them stood there, embracing each other for a while, taking in each others scent. Y/N could hear Deans rapid heart beat slowing, she intertwined her hands behind his neck and he kept brushing over her hair. “Please give me another chance, love”, he whispered, “I want to be good at this.”
Y/N took a step back, once again looking into his eyes: “We have to make this work.” Dean just nodded, grabbing the keys for his car “Baby”: “Let’s get you something to wear and a normal shampoo, so you don’t smell like me.”
He took her hand in his, raised it to his lips and kissed it softly, then leading her outside of the door and towards his car. On the way to the Meyers the new couple talked a lot, Dean even made Y/N laugh a couple of times. “Listen”, he says. Y/N looked up at him through her eye lashes. “You need to get a tattoo. It’s really important for your safety. And you need to apply for a new ID and pick out a ring, sweetheart…” All Dean said didn’t make a lot of sense in Y/N head and he must have figured from the way she looked at him. “Please just do as I say, get the tattoos and I will explain as soon as we’re back.”
Y/N just nodded and they made their way into the mall, holding hands, first going to a tattoo shop. “Hey buddy”, Dean said to the tattooed guy behind the counter. He nodded, symbolizing Dean to keep on talking. Dean swallowed and the said: “My wife wants to get a tattoo. The same one as me.” He pulled the collar of his shirt down and showed the guy the tattoo he had on his left chest, shortly underneath his collar bone. It was a circle with a five edged star inside. The outside looked like a sun. But what left Y/N even more confused was the term “wife”, looking up at him obviously confused. “Well, if she can tell me what she wants, she will be able to get the tattoo”, said the guy behind the counter. Y/N came closer to Dean and before being able to say a thing Dean growled: “Listen, Beta, you better do as I say. This is my Omega and I get to decide what happens with her body.” The guy behind the counter just swallowed and let you pass through to the back where you sat down on a tattoo chair. You opened Deans flannel and about two hours later you had the same tattoo as Dean underneath your left collar bone. After paying, Dean gave you no time to ask questions and dragged you into a jewelry store.
After looking at different necklaces and ring, you went back to Dean who waited on a sofa, reading a magazine. You sat down next to him: “What do you want me to do here?”
“I want you to pick out two rings, gold suits me best. And a necklace if you want to”, he answered without looking up. “Why?”, was the following answer. “Because we are legally married now. Claiming in the state of Texas is the same as getting married. If I hadn’t nearly died two days ago I would have picked a ring myself but maybe you would like to choose them.”, he said, offering a shy smile. Nodding, Y/N went back into the shop and looked around more carefully. Dean followed shortly, looking at the rings his Omega had picked. Two gold bands, very simple. His was thicker and hers had some small shining stones in it, looking very delicate. He also noticed her looking at a necklace more closely. It was very fine and small, a golden choker with a letter, a W - it would look fine around her neck. He came closer and whispered in her ear: “Why the W?” “For Winchester, I thought?”, she said with a low voice. Dean smiled and took all of the things up front to the register.
Dean then ordered her to push her Y/H/C hair to the side to put the necklace around her neck. The fine golden “W” laid right in between her collarbones at the crock of her neck. He then took her left hand in his, slowly pushing the ring onto her finger whilst looking deep into her eyes. “This is a promise, Y/N. I just need to learn how to be good at this.”, he whispered. Afterwards Y/N put her ring onto his left ring finger, just smiling up at him. Still not allowing Dean into her thoughts and feelings again but Y/N thought they got a little closer.
Afterwards Dean pulled her in for a quick kiss and she melted in his touch.
Then they resumed to some other stores, picking up essentials, like shampoo and clothing, as well as some boots for her.

what i wouldn’t do to forget
Part 1 of ‘a life where we work out’
Pairing: Dean Winchester x fem!Reader/Dean Winchester x Past!Reader
Word Count: 3.5k
Tumblr media
—————————— -> DEAN’s POV <- —————————
My bed was usually a place of comfort. From the moment we moved in, it was my favorite part of having my own room at last.
Then, when she started taking up residence in that same bed almost every night from a year ago till now, it only became more special.
The sheets were covered in her scent. Even when she wasn’t there, I could lay down and know exactly what it’d feel like and smell like if she were. She was as much a part of me as my right leg was.
But, sometimes, you injure yourself.
Sometimes, you screw up and get hurt. And sometimes, instead of healing, the wound worsens. Slowly. Day-by-day you feel it getting more and more painful, and eventually, the limb needs to get severed.
So, I sat on my bed, knowing what it’d be like if she was right next to me. And it was torture.
————————— -> 24 HOURS AGO <- —————————
“Babe, you ready?” she called from outside of the door.
I glanced up, looking at the wood, imagining what she looked like on the other side. Probably wearing that old flannel of mine she loved so much. Definitely her favorite jeans.
“Yeah, just a minute,” I called back.
I finished lacing up my boots, sprayed a little of the cologne she bought me, and opened the door. She smiled at me immediately, though it didn’t quite reach her eyes.
“Hey, cutie,” she greeted softly.
I smirked. “Hi.”
She swallowed, walking alongside me until we got to the car.
Tuesday date night. Practically every single Tuesday for over a year straight we’d make sure we went on a date. There were very few exceptions to this rule, and even if we couldn’t go out, we’d still make sure we had time for each other.
It was all her brilliant idea, of course. She always made me feel wanted.
This Tuesday, though, was different. We both knew it. I saw it coming a mile away.
I’d been pulling away, and she definitely felt it. Hell, even Sam knew something was wrong. I knew how this night would end. She’d tell me she loves me. She’d kiss me, putting on a smile as if it wouldn’t be the last one we’d have. She’d manage to make it all feel okay somehow. We’d go to our rooms alone, and I’d wake up to news I wasn’t quite sure I could handle.
“Honey?” she asked softly, looking at me as I sat in the driver’s seat. “Are we getting out?”
I stared at her for a moment, then realized she wanted to go inside. The night wasn’t over yet. It had hardly started.
“Sorry, must’ve zoned out when I parked,” I said quickly, a shy smile on my face.
She smiled back softly, getting out of the car. We walked into the restaurant we loved so much, sitting at the same table we always sat at. She ordered the same thing she always ordered, and I got my usual. We shared the same stories, laughed at the same jokes, held hands over the table the same way.
It should’ve all felt the same, but it was like the first time reading about some new horror we had to take down. It was new and scary and I didn’t know what would come next. I only knew I couldn’t let it kill me.
I paid the check, taking her hand and holding her extra tight as we walked back to the car.
“I love you,” she said on the way home, still holding my hand.
We parked, lingering by the trunk. She smiled at me softly, stroking my cheek for a moment before she leaned in. She kissed me softly, just like every other sweet kiss she’d given me.
She pulled back when she felt my tears fall on her face.
“Baby,” she cooed softly, wiping a few tears away with her thumb.
I leaned into her hand, kissing the inside of her palm. When I looked back at her, tears were falling on her face now, too.
“I love you,” I managed to say, voice trembling.
I wanted to ask why, but I know she wouldn’t tell me the truth. She’d tell me it was her. She’d say she needed space. She’d do anything but make me feel like it was my fault, even though I knew it was.
She knew I loved her. I just didn’t love her enough anymore.
She left me there in the garage, a lump in my throat that I couldn’t swallow down. I don’t know how long I stayed there, but I knew I couldn’t stand it to walk past her room and hear her packing.
Eventually I got to my room. I laid down, surrounded by her smell and her presence everywhere. Her favorite mug was on my nightstand. Several pictures of us and of her were all around the room. Her perfume was on the pillows next to where I laid my head, not falling asleep until I stopped hearing her move her things out to the garage and my eyes couldn’t produce any more tears.
————————— -> PRESENT DAY <- —————————
I finally got up, not having moved since the night before. I hadn’t eaten since yesterday around the same time, and I couldn’t go any longer without trying to eat something. I was making myself sick enough without starving myself on top of it.
I stumbled into the kitchen, rummaging around for anything at all that didn’t immediately make me think of her. The problem is that everything made me think about her.
I settled on a bowl of cereal, not even bothering to sit down at the table. I was leaned over the counter, halfway done, when I heard someone come in. My heart jumped, hoping for what I knew wasn’t true.
“Hey,” Sam said, clearly spotting my swollen eyes.
“Hey,” I responded with a hoarse voice.
He walked in slowly, seemingly waiting for me to go off like I was a ticking time bomb.
“You okay?”
I opened my mouth, then stopped. There was no point in lying at this point. He knew.
“No.”
He nodded. “I’m really sorry.”
“I know, Sammy.”
He watched me for a few moments, then decided to do something neither one of us thought he’d do. He pulled me away from my cereal and hugged me. I felt my eyes welling up again, and didn’t even bother trying to stop the inevitable from happening.
“I miss her. It hasn’t even been a day, but I miss her so much.”
“I know, man,” he said, sniffling himself. “I’m gonna miss her, too.”
I nodded, not even realizing till now that he was losing her too, in a way.
No more hunting with us. No more living with us. No more bar trips. No more movie nights. No more long car rides together. No more pointless laughing in the library over too many beers.
We separated, both wiping at tears and pretending we didn’t see one another crying.
“We could…” he started, the sighed. “I know it’s not the same, but we could hang out tonight. Make a bunch of crap food and watch some stupid movie. Like when we were kids.”
I considered for a moment. I knew it’d probably be good for both of us, but I didn’t think I had it in me to be happy at all.
“I don’t know, Sam.”
“I’ll get you pie,” he offered. “And drinks.”
“Drinks wouldn’t be too bad,” I said, a humorless chuckle escaping.
“You do what you need to for the next hour, then we’ll meet in your Dean cave, alright?”
I nodded. “Okay. Thanks, man.”
He nodded along, patting me on the shoulder before heading out to get the snacks and drinks.
————————— -> READER’s POV <- —————————
I threw myself into hunting as much as possible when I left.
After being in the bunker for so long, I’d gotten used to having a place to call home. It was bizzare being endlessly on the road again, sleeping in crap motels, and being the only one to drive.
It was weird only ever being in my car.
I found myself chasing down every lead, no matter if it ended up being worthwhile. Giving up Dean meant giving up everything I’d grown accustomed to since joining the Winchesters. That was years ago.
My time with them ended much more differently than I ever expected it to.
I always thought the only way I’d separate from them is if they both died, or if I did. Even then, death didn’t exactly stick with those two often.
Now, I was back to where I was what feels like a lifetime ago. Everything had changed so much. Solo hunts were way more difficult than I remembered them being, for one.
I sat in the motel room, tears wetting my face. Less from the fact that I was forced to give myself stitches in my leg, and more the fact that I wished I could at least be home to do it. But, I had to accept that home didn’t exist for me anymore.
I left my physical home, and I left Dean. Home was pretty much out of the picture entirely now.
I sucked it up as much as I could, finished up the stitches, and bandaged myself up. I wasn’t about to let a werewolf scratch take down all the work I’d put in the past week to be independent again.
Partially because I needed to learn to depend solely on myself once more.
Partially because the issue of my non-independence over the past year or so was the culprit in all of this to begin with.
I never thought I crossed the line of complete codependency with Dean. But, when he started pulling away and pushing me away, I realized I should’ve learned to back off.
He needed space to be himself. He needed room to breathe. I wasn’t allowing him to get what he needed.
Forcing weekly date nights. Always sleeping in his bed without asking. Constantly getting him things that I liked for him, like that stupid cologne. Cluttering his space with all of my things.
I wouldn’t take a hint that I was the one who liked all of that.
And look where it got me. Alone and bleeding on a motel room bed.
I got a call, and grabbed my phone while trying hard not to jostle my leg.
“Hello?” I said after answering.
“Hey,” Sam breathed out, sounding almost relieved. “I’m sorry, I just— I was thinking about you. Wanted to make sure you were safe.”
“No, no. That’s okay. I’m— I’m fine. Hunting.”
He paused. “By yourself?”
“It’s not as bad as it seems,” I said, trying to laugh a little to calm his nerves. “Only got sliced up a little bit so far, and I took care of it.”
He said my name softly. Not quite reprimanding, but clearly nervous for me.
“Don’t worry about me. I’ll be fine.”
“Okay,” he said quietly. “Can’t help it, though.”
I fell quiet for a moment.
“How’s—” I stopped myself before I could finish that thought. “How are you?”
“Good. We’re both all good here. Just miss you a lot.”
I swallowed, fighting tears that wanted desperately to spill out of my eyes.
“I miss you too.”
“Do you think you’ll ever come back?”
My stomach dropped at that, tears fully slipping out now. I closed my eyes tight, trying to keep my voice even.
“I don’t know. I don’t think it’s a good idea.”
“You’re always welcome, you know? This is your home, too.”
I nodded. “Yeah. I, uh— I actually have to go now. But I’ll call you sometime, okay?”
“Oh. Okay, yeah.”
“I really do miss you.”
He sighed. “We miss you, too.”
We.
I ended the call after a short goodbye, laying back and letting the tears fall freely. They formed little pools of saltwater at my ears, and I didn’t have it in myself to stop it from happening. I finally fell asleep some time later, dreaming about green eyes and freckles.
—————————— -> DEAN’s POV <- —————————
Months went by, and not a single day passed that had gotten any easier.
Distractions came and went in the form of bottles and hunting, but neither of those ever lasted. I was never quite interested in the pretty waitresses that tried flirting any time we found ourselves at a restaurant in some little town. It felt like I’d fallen into some screwed up alternate universe. Everything was mostly the same, but something horribly wrong had happened and it left me feeling empty and confused.
I couldn’t stop it, and it only got worse as time went on. I knew what I had before it was gone, but her leaving made it so obvious that I couldn’t think of anything else.
Sam tried hard to make it bearable. He’d suggest going out, and when I didn’t want to, he’d do anything to get me out of my own head. I knew, though, that he at least still got to talk to her. I’d overheard him talking quietly on the phone when he thought I was asleep a few times, and a few times more when I’d walked past his room in the bunker. He told me she was safe to calm my nerves when I started thinking about her being on the road alone.
I knew I needed to give her space, but it still hurt knowing she was staying in touch with everyone else. I wanted to be the one to hear firsthand that she was okay.
But, she was better off without me. That’s what I had to remind myself of.
Every time I had a selfish thought, I needed to remember that she deserved a good life. I wasn’t giving that to her. I pushed her away when all she ever did was love me, all for the sake of self-sabotage. I say I didn’t love her enough, but I think my real problem is that I loved her too much.
I’d learned the hard way too many times that too much of anything ain’t a good thing.
I walked into the library, finding Sam already at a table with his laptop open.
“Hey,” he said, looking up from the screen. “I think I found a case.”
I raised my brows, walking to sit across from him.
“What’s the deal?”
“I think… it’s a djinn. Seems like it anyways. Three people have gone missing, and two turned up dead with their blood drained, but it wasn’t vamp-style.”
I sighed, thinking for a minute. I needed a new case. I had to get out of the bunker and stop sitting in my room all day and night. But I hated djinn, and they seemed to like to target me for some reason.
Sam stared, waiting for a response.
I nodded. “Alright, let’s head out.”
It was a long drive to Indiana, and by the time we reached the town everyone had gone missing in, I was ready to crash. We decided to get our sleep and start fresh in the morning by double-checking all the facts we got online.
We were certain by mid-day, and had an idea as to where the latest vic was being kept. It felt like a lucky streak, but I couldn’t help but wish that it had taken a little longer. Maybe if I found another case tonight I could convince Sam to head off right away.
We stopped off at a diner before we went to kill the son of a bitch, but I realized when we sat down that it was a huge mistake.
I looked up from my coffee, glancing around the joint as Sam talked about the plan for after lunch. Then, I saw her.
She was by herself at a little table back in the corner, giving the waitress that pretty smile of hers as she accepted a bowl of whatever she got to eat. Probably some kind of bulky salad since it was lunchtime. She’d get a cookie or a piece of pie afterwards, and leave a little smiley face on the check.
I didn’t realize I was still staring until she met my eyes, her face dropping immediately. I looked away fast, clearing my throat.
Sam stopped. “What? Did you see—”
He turned.
“Oh.”
I saw him wave out of the corner of my eye, though I couldn’t bring myself to look at her again. I stopped getting an option when I saw her stand and walk over slowly.
“Hi,” she said.
My chest tightened just hearing her voice again. I looked up, trying hard to look unaffected. It was hard when I’ve never wanted to hold her and never let go so much before. She glanced at me with a soft smile before returning to look at Sam as he asked her what she was up to.
“I’m tracking a djinn, actually,” she said slowly. “I guess you guys are probably here for the same reason, huh?”
“Yeah,” Sam confirmed. “We actually were going to go after lunch, if you wanted to come with?”
“I don’t want to intrude…”
“We’re going anyways, you might as well come with,” I said quickly before I could stop myself.
She looked at me with those wide, beautiful eyes, wetting her lips a moment. It was everything in me not the track the movement.
“Okay,” she nodded, not taking her eyes off of me.
“Okay,” I repeated, my voice nearly failing me.
She took a deep breath, finally looking away from me.
“I’ll go finish my food and then…”
“Do you want to eat with us?” Sam rushed out.
“Sam…”
“Please.”
I was looking down at my coffee again, but I knew she looked to me as a reason to stay away. I swallowed down that feeling as fast a I could.
He spoke up again. “Ours is going to be here in a minute, but we’ll eat fast.”
She sighed softly. “Alright. Let me get my stuff and let the waitress know.”
The second she was walking back to her table, I looked up at Sam. He looked back at me, still a little shaken at seeing her, too.
“I’m sorry. She’s just— She’s here.”
“I know, but did you have to make her sit with us?”
“She agreed.”
“She doesn’t want to be around me. It’s bad enough I told her to come with on the hunt.”
He sighed. “One day isn’t bad, you know? It’s been months. She seems okay.”
“I’m not,” I said, a whispered yell. “I can’t look at her hating me.”
“She doesn’t hate you.”
“How do you know that?”
“She wouldn’t have agreed to come with. She wouldn’t have come over in the first place.”
I let out a breath, dropping the subject as she walked back. I knew she wouldn’t sit next to me, but it still felt like a hit to see her sliding in the booth next to Sam instead. She gave a polite smile, and thanked the waitress as she dropped off mine and Sam’s food a few seconds later.
“How’ve you been?” Sam asked her.
“Alright. Busy,” she said, taking a bite. She covered her mouth as she continued speaking, “Hunting non-stop pretty much.”
“With anyone, or are you still by yourself?”
“Myself.”
I looked up at her as I picked around my plate, suddenly losing my appetite.
“You’ve been hunting alone?”
She simply nodded.
“You could at least call Garth. Have someone with you,” I said, trying to keep emotion out of my voice.
“I’ve been managing just fine.”
I opened my mouth to argue, but stopped myself when I saw how Sam looked at me. It wasn’t my place anymore. I nodded slowly, eating a few fries to keep my mouth full.
I struggled through lunch, my head taken up completely by her. The exact opposite of why I wanted to be out hunting all the time now in the first place.
She did her hair the same. She still wore the same perfume.
I found out that second fact by walking past her to get to the bathroom. I all but knocked some poor guy over because of it.
“I’m sorry,” I mumbled as he regained his footing. “Wasn’t paying attention.”
“It’s okay,” he nodded, moving past me.
I made it to the bathroom, splashing my face with water. I knew I was shaken seeing her, but this feeling was getting worse by the second. I glanced in the mirror, suddenly feeling dizzy. I tried to move to sit on the ground, barely making it before my eyes shut.
The last thing I heard was the bathroom door opening, closing, and locking.

Then -
“Please give me a few minutes, Chris, I’ll come find you.” He gives you one final look, asking indirectly if you’re sure, and you nod with reassurance before he leaves.
“So Y/N, is it?” Dean asks, and you bite your lip.
“Yup. I guess we have a lot to talk about.”
Now -
“Sure we do. Is he your boyfriend?” Dean asks, glancing at the door that Chris just walked through.
“We have an arrangement.” You shrug, at which he exhales, as if out of relief.
You take a deep breath. “How about we chat somewhere else?”
Dean peers around like he just realized the murky alley you are in. “In the diner?”
You shake your head. “Nope, lots of nosy people in a small town like this. Are you staying here for long?”
It’s his turn to shake his head. “We are checking something fishy in the next town, we were just gonna eat and pass this one. Destiny I guess.”
Snorting you think, fuck destiny. You don’t want to make it feel any more real.
“There is a motel next door. Tell Gale my name and get a room for you, my shift ends in two hours.”
You watch Dean talk for a bit while they eat and then walk out of the diner together, his eyes watching you until he no longer can.
Chris keeps on peeking at you throughout your shift, and you can’t blame him. The way the day had started did not give you a clue on what fate had in store for you.
You find yourself sighing a lot, but still have a fake smile plastered on to keep your patrons happy and get tips. Apart from this, you keep tuning out as you rely on muscle memory for the rest of the shift.
Panicking internally, while you try to be ready for the two serious conversations that are in store for you, and the first comes as you’re cleaning a table at the end of the day.
“Y/N?” Chris’s voice takes you out of your reverie, and you mentally prepare not to cry.
You two are alone in the diner, and although the last few weeks consisted of this alone time filled with kisses, this one is full of uneasiness. You hum and decide to focus on a particularly stubborn spot on the table.
“When were you going to tell me?”
“Tell you what?” You still don’t look at him.
“About your soulmate.”
The dryness of your mouth is a telltale of your anxiety, and you gulp before answering. “I talked to him for the first time today.”
“And I’m sure it won’t be the last.”
The crack in his voice finally makes you swivel and meet his gaze, seeing him to be on the verge of breaking down and your heart officially breaks for the first time.
“Chris, come on. I am not going anywhere” You keep the rag down, wipe your hands and close the distance between you before cradling his face.
Although you know that sentence holds no weight, all you want to do is comfort the guy who has opened his home and heart for you.
He kisses the palms of your hands as his hands encircle your waist. The way he tugs at you to get you just that little bit closer tells you that he doesn’t want to let you go, but he's made up his mind to.
“It’s not that complicated,” You try to interrupt him, but he shushes you with a kiss before continuing. “And you don’t have anything to explain. You met your soulmate, and you deserve to be happy with him.”
His intense blue eyes stare deep within your soul, and you’re afraid he’ll see how downright scared out of your wits you are.
“I have the option not to be with him, I’m pretty happy with you.” You say, and there are tears glistening in his eyes, threatening to come out.
You try to pick words that will minimize the hurt, but you know there’s not much you can do. It’s his way of saying goodbye, his way for closure.
“You’ve thought about this, haven’t you?” You ask in a lighter tone.
“I have. It’s not like I could just not pay attention to your little gasps at odd times.” He says. “You should tell Dean not to get into trouble so much, seeing as it hurts you too.”
You giggle, as if you could tell a hunter to stay safe.
“I don’t deserve your kindness, Chris.” You mutter, and the dimples that you like so much appear on his cheeks.
“I just knew this day would come sometime or the later, I just hoped it wouldn’t be so soon.”
This man has literally changed the way you see love, and if you hadn’t been so blinded by your quest to stay hiding from your soulmate, you would have realized it sooner.
“Besides,” he begins again, “I’m glad you found your soulmate before I found mine, it would’ve been harder for me to let go.”
You and me both, you reply internally. But you settle on saying, “You are making it harder right now.”
Chris chuckles, “it’s alright. I’ll be fine. Promise me you will take care.”
“Don’t say it like we’ll never see each other again,” you hit him softly.
“I have a feeling we’ll be very different people if we ever do.” He tightens the hug and you wrap your hands around him. “Go now.”
For the very first time since you’ve met Chris, he’s the first one to let go in a hug - and you don’t let go until you feel ready, the cloth of his shirt getting wet with your stray tears.
The walk to the motel has worn you down, but you know nothing can be harder than what you’ve just given up on with Chris.
Gale gives you a side eye when you ask where the two guys are situated. You pay no heed, just walking on towards Dean’s room and taking a deep breath before knocking.
“You’re here.” Dean says when he opens the door for you, and you muster up a smile.
“I’m here.” You repeat.
He moves to the side, letting you in his two singles room.
Everything is clean and the beds made, like they haven’t used it at all, and the man with him is nowhere to be seen.
“You’re alone?” You ask, just to make sure.
“Yeah, Sam went out for a run.”
“Is he your partner?” This question echoes the same conviction like one he had asked about Chris.
He shakes his head with a disgusted look while leading you to sit on one of the beds before sitting opposite to you. “He’s my younger brother, we hunt together.”
“I see. So-”
“So-” You two start simultaneously, and laugh.
“You first.” Dean insists.
“Okay,” You bite your bottom lip, not knowing how he was going to take this, especially with the glance at your lips, but you have to say it.
“Listen, Dean. As glad as I am that we found each other,” No, it’s all a lie. I wish we never met. “I cannot commit. I don’t want to be in a relationship.” I’m scared of getting hurt.
Seeming disheartened, he averts his eyes, “I understand. Where do you want to go from here?”
“I honestly don’t know.” You respond, “I mean, we can start from being friends? Get to know each other?”
You don’t know why but you feel like you owe him that much.
Or rather, you owe it to Chris to try at the very least.
But when you had met Dean a few hours ago, there was a shine of hope and excitement in his eyes on finally finding a soulmate which you knew you never had.
“I can work with that.” There is a flicker of a smile on his face. “So, not in the hunting game anymore?”
“Nope, had some personal reasons.” I met you. “I think I want to get in again.”
“You can join us on this one.” Dean suggests, his hands fumbling with the buttons on his flannel.
“Sam won’t mind?”
He snorts, shaking his head. “He won’t.”
“So I guess I’ll see you tomorrow then?” You get up, straightening out your clothes.
“Sharp at 9. Looking forward to it.” Dean gives you a toothy smile.
When you pull the door close behind you, you hear a soft murmur of ‘Looking forward to it… Couldn’t think of something better? Dumbass.’
You make the short walk from the motel to your shared apartment with Chris which is pretty much uneventful. But then, when you’re walking up the stairs, you end up meeting him just as he’s walking downstairs.
You’re both awkward as you stop.
“I - uh, saw your stuff was still in.”
“Yeah, I’m leaving tomorrow morning.” You look him up and down, wanting to remember him as he is for as long as you can.
There he stands, a good foot taller than you, in his usual jacket over a printed T-shirt style. A smile that was usually goofy was replaced with one tinged with sadness, one that didn’t reach his beautiful blue eyes as you are used to.
“You take care now, Y/N. And you can leave the keys next to our bed when you leave.”
“Of course,” you nod with trepidation.
Chris takes your hand in his, and it’s when you notice the night bag on his shoulder. “Y/N just… Please don’t forget me.”
“I don’t think I can even if I wanted to, Chris. What you gave me, what we had, was special.” You try to soothe him with a quick squeeze.
With a last peck as he crosses you, he exchanges way more emotions than words ever could and finally bids you farewell.

Imagine: Sam forcing you to go to bed
Okay. So you'd gotten a little obsessive. And, sure, that tunnel vision drive had robbed you of a real night sleep for three days straight, resulting in unplanned naps at an hour intervals at most, adding up to two whole hours. But was it really fair that your body demanded sleep when Sam and Dean habitually did the same thing? And that's how you got to day four, hallucinating every time you looked at something too bright or too dark.
"Y/n…?" Sam called out softly after coming into the room to see you staring blankly at your hand. "You alright?"
"Huh?" You could barely pay attention to him, much less summon the mental stamina to craft a proper response.
Sam hesitated. "I asked if you were alright…"
"Uh huh."
Sam glanced back, wondering if he should call for Dean, then decided to approach you first instead. "What's going on?"
"This spot on my wrist."
"Spot?" Sam blinked in surprise when you clumsily shoved your hand in his face. He gently took it wrist. "I see it. What about it?"
"It's a spider."
Sam's brows knitted. "What?"
"All spots are spiders."
"Uh…"
"Spider. Spider. Spider." You repeated, poking the visible moles on his skin. "It goes away when you touch it. Then reappears!"
"Are you high or something?"
"Let me take off your shirt." You didn't wait for permission, sliding your hands up his hard abs. You would have enjoyed it more if your brain didn't feel encased in cotton, but as a solid to your future self, you made sure to indulge in the experience.
"Why the hell are you taking off my shirt?" Sam's voice cracked as he startled back, hands wavering in the air, unsure of what to do.
"You have the cutest mole right… here." You caressed the curve of his neck.
Sam's breath hitched and his throat worked as he struggled to reply. "You didn't need to take my shirt off to see it- Y/n!"
You opportunistically slipped under his shirt, kissing the spot. "God, I've always wanted to do that."
"Have you been drinking?" Sam jumped back when your hand dipped under his jeans. "Jesus, Y/n! What the hell?"
You blinked at him, mind blanking.
"Y/n?" Sam stepped forward cautiously when you didn't respond. "When was the last time you slept?"
"Yesterday maybe?" You felt yourself swaying, but it didn't feel dangerous even when Sam jerked forward to keep you upright.
"For how long?"
"I don't know math." You scowled indignantly. "How dare you, Winchester? -Like twenty minutes or something."
Sam sighed. "How long has it been since the last time you really slept?"
"Um…" You closed your eyes to think and the swaying got worse. "Anyways. Take off your pants."
"What? No." Sam frowned. "Try to concentrate for a second."
"How can I supposed to do that?" You whined shamelessly. "Real Y/n wants to see the goods!"
Sam flushed and it took clearing his throat twice to find his voice. "Real Y/n?"
You nodded. "Awake Y/n. Not sleepy Y/n." You grabbed his waistband. "There's a pot going on amongst hunters about how hung you are. I'll keep it a secret if you do, but shouldn't I know since we're friends? You can't keep secrets from your friends."
"Okay. Bedtime for you." Sam threw you over his shoulder when your fingers started to graze downward.
"I'm not sleepy." You pouted. "My brain is too awake."
"I'll give you warm milk or something. Just get into the bed and stop touching me." Sam's voice was hard.
You stopped sliding your hands over the lines of his back muscles sulkily. "You're so bossy. Isn't it your fault that you're so damn fine? Take some responsibility! Coming out of the shower with nothing, but a towel on…"
"I didn't know you were there!"
"That doesn't make me not want to lick every damn drop of water off of you." You suddenly became cheerful. "Stay hydrated everyone."
"Please stop talking." Sam swallowed hard.
"I'll show you yours, if you show me mine." You offered.
"That's not-" Sam broke off with a sigh, then pushed open your bedroom door and set you down. "Get some sleep." He sighed again when you stared at him in blank confusion. "Sleep, Y/n. Please?"
"I forgot how the bed works."
"You forgot…" Sam covered his eyes with his hands, scrubbing his face hard. "Go lay down."
You walked backwards until your legs hit the bed, then toppled inelegantly on the mattress. Sam's face fell. Begrudgingly, he scooped you up and laid you further back on the blankets. He rolled you up tightly in an impromptu swaddle before you could do anything else.
"I'm a burrito. Eat me."
"Go to sleep, Y/n."
"But you and Dean stay up all the time." Your face crumpled with a wave of sorrow.
Sam softened. "You aren't us."
"But you won't want me anymore."
Sam's lips thinned with an empathetic smile. "We can talk about this later."
"You've got a cute mole by your nose too."
Sam turned off the light, but didn't leave. A moment later, you felt him sit next to you. "I never had anyone try to help me fall asleep, so I'm not really sure how to help you, but… I saw this in a movie once. A mom putting down her kid…"
You relaxed instantly as his fingers brushed back your hair in long, gentle strokes. Sam smiled at your satisfied hums.
"Good night, Y/n." Sam said softly when your breathing slowed.

Stockroom Antics Master List
Maria had changed jobs numerous times over the last five years, more to keep herself safe than anything else. Her mother had told her she was a fairy but she thought it was just her mom being weird. Honestly, though, she had no other way of explaining what had happened to her that stormy day before she'd gone into a coma for two weeks.
Each chapter will have warnings. Pairing is Dean Winchester x OC
A/N: This one's written a little differently than my last one. Let me know what you think. It's the first time I've tried this type of writing. Chapters will alternate viewpoints as well. I also looked into an actual area so this one could feel more realistic.
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6 Chapter 7 Chapter 8 Chapter 9 Chapter 10 Chapter 11 Chapter 12 Chapter 13 Chapter 14 Chapter 15 Chapter 16 Chapter 17 Chapter 18 Chapter 19 Chapter 20 Chapter 21 Chapter 22 Chapter 23 Chapter 24 Chapter 25 Chapter 26 Chapter 27
More coming soon, when I have time to write. A/N: I honestly have no clue how long this one will be. I'll keep going through, till it does finally end. With the turns it's been taking, I'm not sure how it's going to turn out. :) I love these kinds of things.

Sweet Love
Summary: You're an up-and-coming writer, congratulations. To protect your beloved job, you're willing to do anything. Even strike a deal with the devil, better known as your sister's neighbor. You and Dean Winchester don't really see eye to eye, but in a moment of desperation, you agree to collaborate with him for a greater good.
Author's Notes: Many characters do not belong to me but to the Supernatural Universe (2005-2020). I hope you enjoy the fanfic's story. The fanfic will contain strong language and future adult content.

CHAPTER TWO
It's been two days since you made your agreement with Dean, and there's no sign of him. You even thought about going to him, but he always seems to be busy screwing someone. Literally. Yesterday, a beautiful man left his apartment, and you gave up on going to Dean's place because you swore it was Castiel. Well, to put it briefly, Castiel is Dean's great love story. At least, that's what you think. When you moved into your sister's apartment, Castiel lived with Dean. They seemed like quite the couple, even though officially they said they were having a "casual thing." But about a year ago, Castiel broke up with Dean. Rumors say Castiel wanted emotional commitment, and that's Dean's biggest nightmare. So when you saw a handsome man very similar to Castiel and wearing a trench coat like Castiel used to wear, you thought they had made amends. But in the end, it wasn't Castiel. This makes you sure that Dean is avoiding helping you. It could be because he's quite stupid when he wants to be, or because he didn't see any benefit in helping you.
You then decide to try writing the long-awaited smut, describing how the male protagonist's skin smells like men's deodorant and cheap moisturizer, and how the female protagonist is intrigued by the male protagonist's eyes. You try and try, but your protagonists don't seem to want a physical connection. If only your publisher would accept this. But you're just a few steps away from becoming permanently unemployed. So, wearing a somewhat revealing nightgown and your Stitch slippers, you practically run to Dean's apartment door. But you can't bring yourself to knock on his door; courage is lacking. Or perhaps you feel humiliated.  You turn around, thinking about what you'll have to do to apply for any other job. Or how it will be to move back in with your mother when you're already too old for it to seem like a viable option.
"Do you make a habit of standing in front of other people's apartments?" Dean Winchester asks, opening the door to his apartment. You turn around delicately as if caught off guard. The feeling of embarrassment washes over you.
"No, actually, it's something I exclusively do with you, sweetheart. Can you explain why you gave up on helping me?" You speak, feigning confidence. Dean looks you up and down.
"You're going to regret this, you know?" Dean says boastfully as I walk further and further out of his apartment, you noticing that he's in a bathrobe and him apparently noticing that you're in a nightgown.
"Dean, I'm not a little girl. You don't need to protect me. I just want you to help me. Do you understand this?" You get closer to him. Your face getting closer to his. You feel the strange need to kiss him.
"Sam thinks our partnership is a bad idea. According to him, I'm taking advantage of the fact that your sister is away to try to lead you down the wrong path." Dean tries to explain the reason why he hasn't helped you yet.
"Is he right?" You ask, smiling mischievously as you keep your eyes locked on Dean's. He looks at you, as if calculating what answer to give you. You presume he's undecided between lying or not. In reality, it means he wants to take advantage of you.
"Probably is. The problem is, everyone knows you and me, it's not gonna work out. Either you'll give up on me, or I'll mess everything up." He says, looking intensely at you, as you hold onto the edge of the robe he's wearing and bring your faces closer together.
"I didn't come here to play cat and mouse with you, Winchester. Now, tell me how to start a romantic story with a bit of sexual tension and forget your worries." You say, cutting straight to the point.
"What are we doing now. Analyzing each other halfway between our apartments. Casually wondering if it wouldn't be interesting to take off the few pieces of clothing we're wearing?" Dean's suggestion sounds good, but in your head it sounds like a warning. What you and he are doing is building sexual tension. Analyzing each other's bodies, observing details such as what they are wearing and moving closer and closer.
"Are you saying this is the method you're going to use to help me? Try to fuck me?" You say, moving away from him a little and coughing falsely. That was letting you embarrassed, in a good way.
"What better way than to practice with you? Write about what you're experiencing right now, about your filthiest thoughts about me, you, and the floor of my house. Maybe the shower, or the mattress?" Dean says, approaching you step by step, making you lose your breath. Your head lightly knocks on your door. Or rather at the door of your sister's apartment.
"What's the next step in your help?" You speak almost in a whisper next to Dean who is face to face with you. His fingers then lightly travel around your waist, holding you steady. He wants to tease you.
"Imagine that your character is going to do exactly what I'm doing, seduction works like that. But something good about seduction is knowing when to do things. Now it would be easy to win you over but leaving you eager for more, it's much better. " Dean says, letting go of your waist and composing himself.
"You're more useful than you seem. I hope you know you're going to need more than that if you want to help me with this book." You say trying not to seem affected by him.
"Get ready, kitten. I know very well how to help you. Just try to take it to the professional. I don't know how to deal with people who are in love with me." Dean says smiling and you roll your eyes. How arrogant he is.
"I'll see you tomorrow, idiot." You say, opening the door to your sister's apartment and closing it in Dean's face. You then run to get your computer and write down everything about what just happened.

She looked so beautiful when she was comfy and sleeping in bed next to me. She snored lightly as she gripped tightly onto her pillow. The past few nights she had slept here alone. Dean and I had just got back from a hunt, and being apart from each other always hit Y/n hard.
We had gotten home last night so late that Y/n was already asleep in our bed. Her form takes up most of the bed, and the sheets. Dragging pillows and blankets in an effort to make a shape close to my own. An old t-shirt of my mine was placed over my pillow, and she looked so peaceful as she snored away in her sleep.
I was quick to get showered, and into fresh clean clothes. When I did finally fall into bed with Y/n she was automatically at my side, cuddling herself as close as she could get me. "shh, go to sleep, babe. I'll be here in the morning." I hummed into her hairline. I was able to fall asleep quickly to the sound of her breathing and her heartbeat pressed against my own.
The next morning I woke up early. Getting a run, and a breakfast run in before returning back to the bunker. Jack and Cass along with Dean were sitting at the map table. Dean looked like shit, as Jack talk the ear off of him.
"Heya guys, I got some breakfast," I said happily as I dropped the bag to the map room table. "Bacon?" That was Dean's only question. I laughed. "Yeah, bacon with extra grease. along with those good pancakes from that dinner in town." Sliding the to-go box in his direction.
I left the three of them at the table and went to check on Y/n. When I opened the door, she was still asleep. The sheets were more of a mess, and I could see the peak of her ass from under the sheets. But her breath was steady, and she didn't stir as I closed the door shut behind me.
Whatever time it was it was still very early in the morning. Seeing as Jack and Cass never needed sleep the time was only given away by the fact that Dean was up. "Thanks, Sammy for the breakfast. I'll say it's nice to be back in Kansas." Dean mumbled as he shoved more food into his mouth.
Jack was staring at me with such wonder. "I do not understand Castiel? Why is food such a big part of their lives?" Jack asked Castiel. Castiel had once been a human and understood the reasons why but felt it best to not tell that story so early in the morning. So with that, a shrug of his shoulders was the only response he gave to Jack.
It was nearly another two hours before we all heard the commotion in the kitchen. We had moved to see if we could find another close by the hunt, so that meant moving into the library.
From my spot at the library chair, I could see Y/n. Her tanned legs, and bare stomach. I thought for a moment and closed my eyes, going back to the night before. I memorized her skin and the way she felt up against me as I fell asleep last night.
I was only brought out of my dream when I heard the padding of soft feet gets closer to me. When I opened my eyes Y/n was standing at the doorway between both the library and the kitchen. Sporting nothing but an old bra of hers, and a pair of my boxers. Dean had a look of shock on his face, and well the angels that sat next to me were staring at my girlfriend with wonder. "What's wrong guys?" She asked in a soft morning voice. Everyone swallowed before answering all at once.
"Nothing baby, but wondering what you're doing out of bed?" I asked through the thick silence that befell the room. "Oh, I was just getting a glass of water." With that, she yawned and walked around to kiss my head gently and then went back to our bedroom.
"Dude..." Dean went on to say. "Don't you even," I warned as I closed my men of letters books. With that, I followed closely behind my beautiful girlfriend, as I watched her hips sway in my boxers.
