Tunnel rituals

The tunnel has to be Brad’s favorite place.

Not because of the design. Oh god no. It’s horrible, atrocious. Almost as if the rink designers gave it no thought; simply a transitional space between the locker room and the ice. And you know what, maybe to a non hockey player, that’s all it is.

No, the specialness of the tunnel resides in the rituals players would inevitably construct to hype themselves up, to prime their teammates, to sculpt their focus, reinforce their bonds.

Which, Brad particularly enjoys.

He runs at McAvoy, falls on Freddy, screams at sway and gets bonked and punched by so many hands that he loses count. The sounds rattling in his head so often that he still hears it when he’s on the ice.

But his favorite. His favorite is Brandon’s hugs. The warm embrace that swallows him whole, surrounds him like a weighted blanket.

It’s so different that any other hug he’d had, it’s different than Bergy’s, warm and overwhelming, moving sands that he sinks into so, so easily. It’s different than Freddy’s, quick and hard, served with a side of mandatory no-homo back slaps. It’s definitely different than Sway’s, big and imposing, a bear hug in every sense of the word, picking him up enough for him to kick his feet in the air and scream to reaffirm his masculinity.

No, Brandon’s just… comfortable. Safe.

Brad holds him close and shuts his eyes real tight, feels Brandon’s fond chuckle through his chest, and maybe, maybe, if he doesn’t open his eyes he could keep holding him.

And the thing is, Brandon never lets go first. He holds him just as tight, just as close. And once even, he laid a loud kiss on top of Brad’s head. He thought of it for days, filled with joy and happiness.

Brad lets go of Brandon, regretful. They have a game to play.

Maybe he could get a Carlo hug when they’re not in the tunnel. Maybe he should try.

The way Brandon smiles at him, the way his hands linger, Brad doesn’t think he’d turn him down.

Craig Counsell Always Wanted to End Up With the Cubs

As Craig Counsell headed into manager free agency this month, two objectives stood at the top of his wish list: kickstart what had been a fallow financial market for managers and coaches and to honor his Midwestern roots. Only the Cubs could satisfy those two objectives. That is why he is the Chicago manager today.

The results of managerial manic Monday—Counsell to the Cubs, David Ross out of a job in Chicago, Carlos Mendoza to the Mets and Stephen Vogt to the Guardians—seemed shocking in the staccato burst of news. Counsell to the Cubs seemed like the biggest shock of all. But based on Counsell’s roots and desire to get to free agency in the first place, the result makes perfect sense.

The Cubs knew this, which is why they placed a call to him on the first day he was a free agent.

Chicago was very much aware that Counsell grew up and lives in Wisconsin, played at Notre Dame, has sons playing college baseball at Minnesota and Michigan and has two daughters in high school in Wisconsin. “The Midwest [pull] is real,” says one source familiar with negotiations between Counsell and the Cubs.

As the Cubs did their homework, knowing Counsell chose to play this year out rather than sign an extension with Milwaukee, they were told by one of Counsell’s friends, “If he ever managed anywhere else, the Cubs have always been his dream job.”

Counsell became a free agent on Nov. 1, the day after his Milwaukee contract expired. The Cubs called Nov. 1, such was their interest in acquiring what one team source called “one of the one or two best managers in the game.”

By then, the Mets already had contacted Counsell. They jump-started the process when David Stearns, the Mets’ newly hired president of baseball operation, called his old club, Milwaukee, for permission to talk to Counsell before his contract expired. With the money of New York owner Steve Cohen and with the shared history of Stearns and Counsell—seven years together as GM and manager in Milwaukee—the Mets were portrayed as the most likely team to sign Counsell.

There were two problems with that assumption. Stearns did not hire Counsell in Milwaukee. He inherited him when he was named GM in September 2015. They worked well together but were not particularly close, especially as Milwaukee emphasized analytics more in game decisions. Moreover, the Mets’ advantage of money was offset by geography and where the team stands on the winning curve. It is not a plum job despite plum money.

“Over the last few days people were still writing that it looked like it was Counsell’s job,” says a source who spoke to Counsell during that time. “That wasn’t the case. He was all but out over the past few days. New York was not at the top of his list.”

Says one executive, “If you look at recent history, managers don’t come out well on the other side of that job.”

Mendoza will be the sixth named manager of the Mets in the past eight seasons, following Terry Collins, Mickey Callaway, Carlos Beltran, Luis Rojas and Buck Showalter. Going back to Jerry Manuel and Art Howe, the past seven Mets managers have not landed another managing gig after leaving Queens.

Stearns needed a manager with experience and/or a working understanding of the New York landscape. He settled on Mendoza, the former Yankees bench coach who turns 44 this month and has not managed above Class A ball. It comes at a time when the race to identify the next inexperienced managerial whiz has lost its luster as experience returns results. The ages of the past six World Series managers: 58 (Torey Lovullo), 59 (Rob Thomson), 65 (Brian Snitker), 68 (Bruce Bochy), 72 (Dusty Baker) and 73 (Baker).

The Mets were 29 games worse than Atlanta last year, the furthest they have been from first place in 20 years. The job comes with uncertainty in terms of how quickly they can rebuild. Likewise, Counsell’s free agency came just as Milwaukee is staring at a rebuild. Pitcher Brandon Woodruff underwent shoulder surgery and could be out for all of next year. Pitcher Corbin Burnes and shortstop Willy Adames could be traded this winter in advance of pending free agency.

The Cubs, however, are on the upswing, just as they were (if not quite as sharply) when the team dumped incumbent manager Rick Renteria in favor of free agent manager Joe Maddon after the 2014 season. Similarly, the Cubs liked Ross but decided when one of the game’s best managers is available and that person has strong ties to the Midwest, they felt obligated to pursue the top talent.

Chicago gave Counsell $40 million over five years. The annual salary of $8 million is a record, topping the $7.5 million Joe Torre earned from the Yankees more than 20 years ago ($13.3 million in today’s dollars). As analytics grew in baseball, executives became stars, not managers. Executives not only came to earn more than managers but they also reduced the influence of managers by relying on information-backed systems rather than wisdom.

For instance, when the Cubs hired Maddon, they paid him $5 million per year. President of baseball operations Theo Epstein was making $3.7 million. By the time Epstein left he was making $10 million, and the manager/GM balance of power in MLB had flipped.

The financial market for managers cratered in the analytics age. Terry Francona, with two World Series titles, reportedly was the game’s highest paid manager last season at $4.5 million. Maddon’s contract eight years ago (before he won a title) equates to $6.8 million in today’s dollars. Likewise, contracts for major league coaches remain stagnant at a time when the minimum player salary has risen 42% in the past eight years to $720,000.

“That’s one reason why you see so many coaches today who never played in the big leagues,” says one AL coach. “It’s almost like asking, ‘Who wants to coach for $120,000?’ There are a lot of guys who never played who would volunteer in a heartbeat. But if you’re in a big market, with taxes and living expenses, you’re almost working for free.”

The investment in Counsell is a signal that the Cubs are all in next season. You don’t hand out the most lucrative contract for a manager without consolidating that investment on the player side.

Conversely, the Brewers offered Counsell a raise from $3.5 million to $5.5 million but were never going to get to the level of Cubs money. Just days ago, they traded veteran outfielder Mark Canha to Detroit for a minor league reliever, rather than bring him back for $11.5 million or pay a $2 million buyout.

“What I don’t get is why the Brewers just didn’t pay to keep him,” says a source close to Counsell.

Based on how the teams are positioned and market resources, Counsell was worth more to the Cubs than to the Brewers. Milwaukee is scheduled to meet Tuesday morning with Pat Murphy, Counsell’s bench coach and former coach at Notre Dame, about replacing Counsell. Murphy also is expected to be offered a job on Counsell’s staff in Chicago.

Milwaukee could stay in house as it develops young players from its productive farm system, or it could try to take the public relations sting out of losing the franchise’s best manager—to the rival Cubs, no less—by hiring a “name brand” manager. Among those likely choices, according to a source, are Ross and Don Mattingly.

I have to point out that there are non-hispanic names that have become popular and that they don't have any translation in spanish. Some of them are "Brandon" "Brian" "Nelly" "Denisse" or "Leslie" Or that they actually have one but people prefer the foreign version. These ones can be "Marion" instead of "Mariana" "Karol" instead of "Carolina"

I guess you would also like to know the nicknames of each one of the names I provided you with, or maybe even last names. If you want me to dedicate some posts to that, let me know! For the moment, I hope all of these names are useful for your O.Cs and fanfics. 😉

Absolutely!

Pasta/Lindy came from the end of last season about a year ago now when they were both injured at the same time. I honestly think it was all something we collectively agreed upon without talking about it but I was the first one to start writing for them for some reason I don't know. As far as, like, dynamic between the two of them Lindy tops (again we never discussed this it just happened) and he's kind of the one that makes sure Pasta's drinking water and taking care of him I guess? That's the best way I think I can describe their dynamic. Lindy is super caring and just wants the best for Pasta all the time.

Gryz/McAvoy went to college together and played together at Boston University. I wasn't the one that started writing for them first so I can't really speak to how they started but that's their background. And as far as relationship dynamic goes Chuck tops (a lot of these is just what felt natural when we started writing for them) but Matt is the one that makes sure Charlie's drinking water.

Freddy/Bambi is Trent Frederic and Brandon Carlo (Bambi, the nickname comes from the fact that he is a complete and total klutz who needs to be wrapped in bubble wrap at all times). This is another one that just kind of happened, which is a really common theme with a lot of these ships if I'm being honest. Their dynamic is hard to put into words but think of it as tall calm one and slightly less tall hyper one.

oh GOD idk!!! i'm a poet first and foremost so there's definitely a lot of that in there. third person confessional?? but not relentlessly so, there's a ton of humor in there too (i hope!). i think my writing is hopeful! very hopeful! so: third person confessional, hopeful, humorous poetics. i GUESS. GONNA PUNT THE QUESTION BACK what do YOU all think is my style.

*smokes cigarette* obvs there's the ones i've told you all about: grad school au, matchmaker au, roaring 20s au...but there's also barista au (carlos is a barista, lando is an art student trying to make the cafe his identity, he ends up crushing HARD on the hot barista), soccer player carlos au (isn't there always one of those, tho?), dj carlos + bartender lando au (though i guess now inverted because LANDO'S the fucking dj), selkie carlos and lando-in-a-loveless-marriage au ft @nottiinrosso, FWB au ft @smoothoperation (mostly hers tho ngl)........coNSTANTLY thinking of premises. it's bad. it's a sickness. a terminal sickness.

so many, but here's a cross-section. tamora pierce and brandon sanderson for worldbuilding. i read the god of small things by arundhati roy when i was a teenager; she's not a perfect person, but that book made a huge impression on me and my style i think. ursula leguin re: writing out of hope and love. naomi novik (she who founded OTW) very recently. kaveh akbar for poetry. terry prachett for humor.

Fracture - Brandon Carlo

Summary: Brandon breaks his leg during the game and the reader gladly takes care of him.

Words: 1406

“Be with someone who will take care of you. Not materialisticly, but take care of your soul, your well-being, your heart, and everything that’s you.” - unknown

Only nine minutes of the third period remained and it looked very good for the Bruins as they were winning 5:1 against the Florida Panthers. The end of the regular season was around the corner and everyone was slowly becoming impatient about the playoffs. The anticipation and excitement were taking over everyone be it the players or fans. I was in the second row cheering for the Bruins pretty much ready to call it a wrap and go to the locker room and congratulate the boys and leave together with Brandon. No one believed the small possibility that the Panthers would be able to score at least four more times in the remaining few minutes and I stopped stressing about the game altogether knowing the win was ours. In one moment, I was yelling at Brandon to support him as he tried to get the puck from his opponent and just a second later, I felt my heart drop to my stomach. I held my breath and felt myself getting pale as the fear took over me completely. In one second Brandon was fighting over the puck and the next second he was on the ice unable to get up. Players of both teams were yelling “he’s hurt” at the doctors, all fans repeated the same thing and my friend who went with me was talking to me however I was out of my mind and didn’t understand a word she said. It felt like ages; seeing Brandon lying on the ice helplessly, boys surrounding him, and rushing the doctor to him. And it was only when the doctor took Brandon away from the ice that I came back to my senses.

“I’m gonna go see him,” I said in a panic as I gathered all my stuff. “I’ll let you know what’s up,” I promised to my friend and left her alone as I quickly ran to the locker room where I hoped to find Brandon and learn more about his injury.

When I arrived to the locker room I found Brandon in pain talking with the doctor about what will happen next. From what I heard it looked like a broken left fibula and the ambulance was called already.

“I’ll go to the hospital right after you, okay? I’ll be there.” I said to Brandon who begged me to go with him.

Later that week Brandon had his ankle surgically repaired, stayed at the hospital for almost two weeks and the recovery time was somewhere between two to three months. And it was certain that Brandon would miss the end of the regular season and the playoffs. Everyone was sorry for Brandon as he would miss the playoffs for the second year in a row. But no one felt more sorry than Brandon. Remorse, guilt, and pain replaced the good mood of the previous weeks, and although I did everything I could to give Brandon support and to assure him no one was angry it seemed like Brandon made up his mind already.

Life also significantly slowed down and changed with Brandon’s injury. There were no games, no traveling, no trainings, or workouts at the gym. Most of our trips usually led to the hospital for his regular checkups or for short walks to the park or around the neighborhood. We watched the games on the tv, played board games when he had enough energy, or we just cuddled on the couch as I read from my favorite books to him when he was in a grumpy mood. Over the weeks I moved almost all of my stuff to his apartment and even I felt like I officially lived there because I visited my apartment only a couple of times and it was only because I had to get more clothes.

“Hey love,” I said happily when I finally arrived home from the grocery store. “Are you okay?” I asked concerned about his wellbeing as I found him lying on the couch in pain.

“Yeah,” he mumbled. “It hurts but I took the pills they gave me, so I hope it’ll get better soon.” He smiled at me trying to calm me down.

“Do you want anything to eat? Or maybe you should go to bed and try to sleep.” I suggested unsure of what to do as always when he was in pain.

“No, I’m fine love,” he smiled again. “Just come to me already.” He whined playfully.

“Oh, so mister grumpy would like to cuddle? Last night you complained and wanted to be left alone.”

“Last night the pain wasn’t as bad and you were worried more than it was necessary,” he laughed. “It really hurts though.” He groaned as he tried to find a comfortable position.

“Let me get you a pillow,” I said as I went to the bedroom for another pillow to put under his foot. “Better?”

“Better,” he nodded. “And now you can finally get your ass over there next to me.”

“I wanted to cook something for dinner,”

“I think we won’t starve,” he laughed and pulled me down to his chest. I was worried I could have hurt him and immediately checked for his reaction, but he chuckled and looked happier than he did a few minutes ago. “That’s definitely much better.”

I rested on his chest with his strong arms holding me close to him and preventing me from falling on the floor while my legs rested on the frame of the couch so they wouldn’t get near Brandon’s. I kissed his chest from time to time or drew small circles in hopes it would bring him a little bit of comfort. We spent most of the the days and nights like this and although I was sorry for Brandon and sorry, he wouldn’t get to join the boys in the playoffs again I enjoyed the ordinary life we suddenly had. We were always in rush, always on the go and I was always ready to pack my bags on join Brandon on some of the longer trips. I was fine with spending the nights on his games and going to the ice rink instead of dates and I enjoyed it more than fancy dinners and events. However, until now I never realized how much I needed life to slow down, to have time just for ourselves, and do nothing at all.

I put a blanket over both of us and snuggled up to him even closer with my hands now wrapped around him tightly. He stroked my hair and pressed small pecks on the top of my head. We didn’t say a word but we both were comfortable and happy with the situation we were in.

“Wanna go to bed?” I asked sleepily and looked up at him as he nodded his head in response. “Let’s get you to bed, big boy,” I smiled and stood up first and then helped Brandon to carefully get up. He put his arm around my neck and dropped most of his weight on me as he tried to keep his balance.

Before I got Brandon into his bed, I helped him to wash and change into some clean clothes he could comfortably sleep in. “I don’t deserve you,” he grinned at me when I helped him get into the bed. I lay down beside him, wrapped my hands around his upper back, and ran my fingers through his wet hair. He stroked my back in return and rubbed his nose against the side of my head as he then moved to my cheeks and forehead to kiss me. “You’re so pretty,” he whispered against my skin. I smiled weakly at him and brought myself even closer to him. He was like a big teddy bear. He loved to cuddle, and he always protected me from everything - even from the smallest things. He was always warm and soft, yet his muscles were unmissable. Now it was my turn to protect him and keep him safe.

Being in his arms in a tight grip was never close enough for me. Every time I tried to get even closer but somehow accepted that it was as close as I could possibly get to him. And for now, it definitely was close enough.

That Smile

“Where are we going?”

“You’ll see.”

It’s our one-year anniversary and I have no idea where he’s taking me. I see a blanket in the back seat, and I know it’s going to be something romantic because that’s how he is. He’s not one of those over-the-top romantics, but he has his moments.

We pull up to a big open park, not many people around but it’s dinner time so no surprise there. He got out, almost sprinted around the car to get the door for me.

*11 months earlier*

“So this is your place.” It’s exactly what you’d expect of someone like him, big, fancy, granite countertops, leather sectional, open spaces, a balcony with a hot tub and some couches. Rich people might not always look rich when you see them out on the street, but once you see where they live, there’s no denying they have money.

“It’s beautiful.”

He scratched the back of his neck nervously, “thanks, I’m not around enough to make it look the way I’d want it to, but I was thinking in the summer I might move some stuff around… make it more home-y.”

I eyed the guitar in the corner, ‘cliché,’ I thought. So many douchebags have guitars on display with no idea how to play them. So I challenged him to it. “you play?” “Yea, I do.” “Are you good?” “I’ve got a couple songs up my sleeve,” he said with a chuckle.

I plopped myself on the couch and pretzeled my legs, staring at him eagerly, “well, by all means, I’d love to hear one.” He didn’t hesitate, walked over and picked up the guitar, he came back and sat right next to me.

“any requests?”

“you know any Clapton? Cliché I know, but I love his music.”

“not cliché at all, anything specific?”

“surprise me.”

In an instant I knew the song, my favorite. When I was younger my mom and I would always listen to 70’s and 80’s radio whenever we were in the car together. Softer, slower music, played later in the day. Then there was bedtime radio that started at 9 at night. It would always start with “Wonderful Tonight” by Eric Clapton.

He must’ve noticed the smile on my face, because he started smiling too. “You like this one?”

“Love,” I answered, almost too quickly.

His smile grew.

He had one of those smiles that could make flowers bloom, or make babies stop crying. It wasn’t perfect by any means, even a little crooked, but it made fireworks go off in my stomach.

“It’s a great song, and easy enough to learn cause it’s slower. Not too many different chords.”

“It’s one of my favorites. The lyrics are incredible.”

“Can you sing?”

“Not even a little bit, I’m so bad.” Trying to find something to change the subject I started glancing around the room. My eyes went to the balcony. I got up from the couch and went over to the door. I felt a presence behind me. “We can go out if you want.” So I opened the door and step outside.

The warm, summer breeze felt like a hug. I walked around a bit, glancing at the lights and down at the street below. “Careful,” he said as he took a cautious step towards me. I didn’t realize how much I had been leaning over the edge. “Heights never really scared me.” “Well that’s good, but still… careful.” “I always am.”

I looked up; outside the city the stars were a little more visible. “Beautiful,” I said under my breath. Again, I felt a presence behind me. “You big into astrology?” “Only enough to know my star sign, and that it apparently fits me well. Beyond that, I just like to look at the stars.” “Do you know the names of any of them? Or constellations?”

My confidence grew a little bit. My summers laying outside in the grass playing around with the app on my phone that labeled the stars if you point your camera at the sky were finally about to pay off.

“That one is Sirius. It’s the brightest of them all.” “That’s easy to remember. That’s one of the dippers right?,” he asked, pointing up. “The big dipper, the little dipper is right there, and over there is Ursa Major, its shaped like a bear.” “That means there’s an ursa minor, right?” “Very good work detective,” I teased jokingly, pinching his cheek. He gave a giggle and winked at me. My heart skipped a beat.

“So you know a decent amount about stars?” “I know where they are and how to find them, I don’t know much past that.” “Impressive,” he said as he kissed my cheek.

We walked for a little bit towards the center of the park. He carried the basket; I had the blanket. “I’ve never heard of this place.” “I had to do a bit of research to find it.” “Any reason you chose this park in particular?” “You’ll see.” There’s that smile, after a year I still get the same fireworks when I see it. I glance over at him, and he’s already looking at me. “What are you looking at?” “My girl,” he said with a wink.

He stopped walking abruptly. He looked up at the sky, then around the park. Looking back at the car he pulled his phone out of his pocket. He put down the basket and looked through his phone for something. “Are we stopping here?” “One sec, I have to check.” “What’s the difference between here and 5 feet away?” “You’ll see, but I have to make sure we’re in the right spot.” He put his phone back in his pocket, took 8 steps forward, turned back towards me and grinned, “here.” “Fair enough,” I walked over.

He laid out the blanket, put the basket on it. I hadn’t seen him pack the basket; I actually only saw it for the first time when he picked me up today.

He opened the basket and pulled out a bottle of wine and two glasses. I sat down and started pouring. “Shit, give me one second,” and before I realized what was happening, he was running back towards the car. I took this opportunity to sneak a peak in the basket. Chocolate covered strawberries, little triangle-cut sandwiches, a little bin of grapes, some crackers- “no peaking!,” he yelled as he made his way back to me. “Too late babe.”

He was carrying four pillows and dropped them when he came over. “What are these for?” “Comfort, we might have the blanket, but it won’t be comfortable without the pillows.” “Yea, I guess I could’ve put that together.” “I mean if you had an idea of doing more, the pillows will definitely help,” another wink.

He had all the makings of a douchebag, on the surface level. He has that superiorly confident look to him. The way he walks, he doesn’t think he’s better than anyone, but that’s the vibe you get from him if you judge him solely based on looks. If you saw him on the street you might think he was the biggest fuckboy on the planet, but then you talk to him.

He’s goofy, in the best way. He’s smart. You wouldn’t think it, but he’s better at quick mental math than anyone I’ve met, and he knows geography like he’s traveled the entire world himself. He likes to talk about anything and everything. On our first date we spent an hour talking about different birds we’d both seen, and our favorites. He likes loons because they sound funny, I like bluebirds because of their beautiful color. I didn’t have much interest in birds until that conversation. Now every time I see a bluebird I think of him. My family went on vacation last month and we rented a lake house. Every morning I’d hear the loon calling and think of that smile.

“Hey you, whatcha thinking about?,” he poked my cheek, I snapped out of my zoned out state, “you.” He turned away a little but I saw the blush creeping onto his cheeks. He had pulled everything out of the basket and tossed it to the side. “Grapes?,” he offered, holding one up in front of my mouth, I opened, and he placed it in my mouth gently, like it was fragile. The sun was starting to set, that’s when I realized there were no lights around. All we had was a tiny lantern he had pulled out of the basket. The view we had of the sunset was incredible, I hadn’t kept track of time on the drive here, so I really had no idea how far outside of the city we were. “How much research did you do exactly?” “Alright to be fair I asked a buddy if he knew any romantic spots and after I got him to quit joking about sex, he gave me a few. Then I googled them and found this place.” “It’s beautiful.” “Not as beautiful as you.” “Oh hush-,” he interrupted me with a kiss.

We ate as the sun set, starting the strawberries just as the last bits of golden light dipped below the horizon. He turned on the lantern.

The glow lit up his face, he was really handsome. His skin looked so smooth and he had those long eyelashes that all guys have, it made me jealous. That smile, again. He kissed me, again. He shut the lantern off while we were kissing. He pulled the pillows over and put them behind us, he laid back and spread his arm out. I laid down and put my head on his arm.

He kissed the top of my head, “Sirius,” he pointed toward the star. “Glad you remembered,” I teased. Another wink. He pointed up again, “look.” As I glanced up, there was a light that shot across the sky. “A shooting star. I’ve never seen one,” he was staring in awe. “Make a wish.” “I don’t need to, I have you.” I rolled my eyes, “you are such a cheeseball.”

We laid there pointing out the different stars and constellations. “You’ve been studying,” I glanced up at him. “I wanted to impress you,” he stated, followed by another kiss. I’ve never seen the stars so bright and clear. “Is this why you were so stingy about the spot?” He looked down at me, “I needed to make sure the view was clear so we could see everything.” Like I said, he’s not a huge romantic, but he has his moments. We kept watching the stars in the most comfortable silence. Then, almost as if he let it slip out accidentally, he whispered, “I am so in love with you.” I waited to see if he’d say anything else, but he was quiet, a nervous quiet. “Ditto,” I giggled and glanced up at him. And, without fail, there it was again, that smile.

Okay be nice! It's my first work, and like I said- I don't consider myself to be much of a writer. I hope you guys like it, I kept thinking about the idea and wanted to give it a shot!
