This book is about a girl who is mentally unstable and is fighting from her subconscious mind. As the story grows it feels like some fantasy world will be there but I couldn't find one it was just a chemical reaction in the mind of that girl who has been hallucinating about a new world and found herself being called the daughter of Athena the goddess of wisdom and battle strategy. Her mind plays games with her and she is not able to differentiate what is real and what is fake now she is liking being played by her best friend Meg is trying to help her but accidentally she hurts herself. As I completed this book I felt like this story could be better in many ways but as the author of this book is 14 years old she has done a good job with it according to her age, all the best for the future. I am finally back on track after a very long reading slump. When I started this book I knew it would not be the best choice to get rid of my slump but at the same time, I really wanted to read it. This would be my first self-growth book review and I am very excited to share it. Dale is truly an amazing writer and lecturer. His lessons are the type of lessons that will never get too old and that is why the book keeps selling and leaders continue to learn from it. ✨ I annotated a lot in this book as you can see in the photos as well. Some of his best quotes and references are: 🔴 ‘A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.’ 🔴 ’When two partners always agree, one of them is not necessarily.’ 🔴 ‘You can measure the size of a person by what makes him or her angry.’ Have you read this book? 》𝔹𝕠𝕠𝕜 𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕔𝕜𝕤 》QOTD: Wall shelves or bookcases? I’ve started the process of unpacking all the boxes of books around the new apartment in preparation for my new bookshelves. I have no idea how to put shelves on the wall. So, this is going to be a project & probably a painful one. (Any advice is appreciated. Seriously.) I just got back from spending Christmas with my mom & I’ve been in such a mood since, unfit for anything besides mundane household chores like unpacking boxes or changing the sheets. I think it always gets this way in the inbetween time leading up to New Year’s, but the pandemic adds its own flavor—or rather, removes all other flavors from the mix. My mom lives five hours away (six if there’s traffic) & this was my first time seeing her in over two years. The visit was quiet, low-key & only as exhausting as any long-awaited visit with your parents can get. She is the reason for my love of reading. 🌹BOOK REVIEW 🌹 The twisted tale of Beauty and the Beast, this tells the start of the story as we know it with the added perspective in a different timeline where Belle's parents meet. This is because the twist here is What if Belle's mother cursed the Beast? On the other hand, Belle all grown up goes to save her father from the Beast by taking his place in the enchanted castle and later learns that the curse was done by her own mother that she doesn't remember quite well. 🌹I am a big fan of Beauty and the Beast, she is one of my favorite princesses so I was very excited to read this from the start. I wasn't disappointed, since it begins with Maurice and Rosalind's story. It's already giving you information you didn't know and keeps you wondering what happened and how everything came to be. Also it has the element of mystery to know about Belle’s mother and how they were going to break the curse. I liked that the author didn't use a lot of the original story to fill in the pages but rather used just the beginning as a base and alternate with Rosalind and Maurice’s story for the first part of it, from there it's all very original. It keeps you guessing on who is the bad guy and how it will all come together, the characters had the same fun charm as in the movie, Belle goes from an oddball to a leader and the Beast learns to be kind and benevolent with his people. We do have a happy ending but not as we would guess.
