im going to try and bully my poor mother into joining my bookclub
which would be another reason to make it prompts, because we read wildly different books these days

the usual person who I'd communicate with about books and reading is off camping (hi raven hope you're having fun) but I still want to post about my new bookclub
it'll be one book a month for sure. but should I choose a specific book that I want to read that month, or should I do a 'prompt' to make it both a book club and a reading challenge? there are pros and cons to both
+1 by choosing a specific book, it'll make it easier to talk about if anyone decides to join me, especially about spoilers and stuff
-1 whenever I've given myself a specific TBR in the past, I have *never* stuck with it
+2 by making it a prompt in a month, it'll make it fun to choose a book that fits that theme, like a little treasure hunt
+2 also, by making it a prompt, no one has to worry about acquiring a specific book and just use a book that they already own/have available at their library
-2 it would make it harder to talk about, because readers would be talking about different books, and there wouldn't be able to be spoilers maybe

@readerbookclub @bowieziggyfan @adhyayana-v @earphonesandquills  Wikipedia is blowing my mind again:
“Stardust was originally conceived by Gaiman and Vess as a "story book with pictures", created by both, to be published by American company DC Comics. During an interview to be included in the audio book, Neil Gaiman explained how one day while driving he had seen a wall on the side of the road and had conceived the idea of Faerie being behind the wall. This sparked an idea in Gaiman's head about an American novelist who moved to England where he would find out about this wall; at this time, the book was to be called Wall. Soon afterwards, Gaiman was nominated for a literary award, which he won, and at a celebratory party for the award he saw a shooting star and immediately came up with the idea of Stardust. Gaiman dragged Vess out of a party that he was at and outlined the plot to him and Vess agreed to do the illustrations. Initially, Stardust was released in 1997 as a prestige format four-issue comic mini-series. Stardust came out once a month in a square-bound, high-gloss booklet with high grade paper, high quality color and no advertisements.”
“Story book with pictures" makes a lot of sense though.

What did you think of the dynamic between Tristan and Yvaine?
I normally love the enemies to lovers trope, but it wasn't really developed well. Tristran was hung up over Victoria, and then he became a mouse, and suddenly he was in love with Yvaine. Yvaine seemed much more consistent, but I still didn’t really understand the shift. I just accepted it as fairytale logic, but I was hoping for more.

I never feel more given to than when you take from me – when you understand the joy I feel giving to you.
And you know my giving isn’t done to put you in my debt, but because I want to live the love I feel for you.
To receive with grace may be the greatest giving. There’s no way I can separate the two.
When you give to me, I give you my receiving. When you take from me, I feel so given to.
