A casanova who spent most of his time wandering around between the U.S. and France, going from one lady's arms to another lady's embrace, drinking and smoking, and living a controversial life and a complicated love life with Anaïs Nin and his June Miller. Those qualities only add more charms to Miller's. Yet one thing should be noted: Henry Miller is one of the prominent figures in erotic literature. The World of Sex is one of the books that he wrote. What makes it different is the fact that Henry puts his personal thought about life, love and sex here. His ideas and ways of thinking are always fascinating. He always sees things from different aspects. His opinions related to the prostitutes here is the example. Henry also believes that love is different with sex and most women often mix them both. I surprisingly enjoy reading The World of Sex. It is a bit of non-fiction and autobiography as it's based on Henry's experience himself. More on Trigeminal Neuralgia

Trigeminal neuralgia is the most common cause of facial pain and is diagnosed in around 15,000 people per year in the United States. It is more common in women than men. In my case it has been brought on by the stroke I had before I was born in the womb and stress around my twin's illness and subsequent death.

The condition isn't life-threatening, but the pain associated with trigeminal neuralgia is exceptionally severe. The intensity of the pain can be debilitating. It is often diagnosed by a dentist. I don't have a popping, clicking or snapping sound when I move my jaw, so doubt it's TMJ.

The trigeminal nerve

The Trigeminal nerve starts near the top of the ear and splits in three, toward the eye, cheek, and jaw. We have a trigeminal nerve each side of our face, but trigeminal pain commonly affects only one side.

Trigeminal neuralgia occurs more often in women than men, and occurs more on the right than the left and doesn't normally run in families. The resulting symptoms can be like those caused by dental problems, often resulting in people with undiagnosed trigeminal neuralgia, exploring multiple dental procedures to control the pain.

Flare-ups may continue for a few weeks or months followed by a pain-free period that can last a year or more. Although trigeminal neuralgia pain may seem to disappear, it always comes back, often with more intensity.

How is Trigeminal Neuralgia Diagnosed?

Diagnosing trigeminal neuralgia involves a physical exam and a detailed medical history to rule out other causes of facial pain. Your doctor or neurologist will ask about the frequency and intensity of the pain, what seems to set it off and what makes it feel better or worse. Since there is no single test for trigeminal neuralgia, getting to the nature of the pain is key to the diagnosis.

Your provider may also recommend imaging or laboratory tests, such as a CAT scan, or a high-resolution MRI of the trigeminal nerve and surrounding areas.

Trigeminal Neuralgia Treatment

Most common over the counter and prescription pain medicines don't work for people with trigeminal neuralgia, but many modern treatments can reduce or eliminate the pain. The doctor may recommend one or more of these approaches: medication, nerve block injections, surgery, or radiotherapy.

Many people report that acupuncture helps reduce intensity and/or frequency of flare-ups. Meditation, wellness clinics and lifestyle modification programmes are options for those looking for more natural trigeminal neuralgia treatments, or a supplemental treatment after surgery. Conclusion

It’s quite frightening not to understand the pain or the condition, which both started around two and a half months' ago. At times the pain is excruciating, to the point, where feeling nauseated has become a regular occurrence.

It’s not something you can control, where drinking hot and cold drinks and/or where eating becomes difficult and time consuming, because with every mouthful there is pain. I am going to a neuropathy consultant so that I can look further into the myelin sheath nerve, to confirm the details of what my dentist has confirmed.

I have decided not to go down the conventional route for treatment, since I would struggle with the side effects. I would love to hear from anyone who has gone down the holistic route, different to what I mention here, to let my readers know what has worked for you.

This book has been in my reading list for a long time. Not a Virgin is a work by Nuril Basri, a young Indonesia writer. This book is translated by John McGlynn from its original title 'Bukan Perjaka.' I was surprise knowing that I was all immersed in that book. It deals with masculinity, and sexuality. Telling a story about four highschool male students who try to look for their sexual identity. The readers will go around the stories about the pesantren -Islamic boarding school, its religious teachers, one or two rebellious students working part time as a male dancer in the gay club, transgender hairdressers, drag queen, bahasa binan- gayspeak /queens speech and salonese, LGBT and its normalisation along with so many issues which circle around the religion, youth culture, sexuality, gender id and masculinity. The book is mind-blowing. Meeting Captain Wentworth at the White Hart, Anne recalls how, at the previous day's encounter, "the same unfortunate persuasion, which had hastened him away from the concert room, still governed".

(Book 98) Exceptional. Gentlemen, military history enthusiasts, this one is for you. "Devotion" follows the true story of two naval aviators during the Korean War, one of whom, Jesse Brown, was the first black naval carrier pilot. This book was about so much more than race. The story may be a bit hagiographic, but I could hardly put it down. These were real people, and their story is told in a gripping, well-paced, and compelling way. I didn't know much about the Korean war beyond what's briefly covered in US History II and a few things from MASH. I did some light research - mostly checking to see who would live through the events of the book. Knowing how it would end did not make finishing the book any easier, but this is a story worth reading. Definitely looking forward to seeing the movie soon.
