I am finally back on track after a very long reading slump. When I started this book I knew it would not be the best choice to get rid of my slump but at the same time, I really wanted to read it. This would be my first self-growth book review and I am very excited to share it. Dale is truly an amazing writer and lecturer. His lessons are the type of lessons that will never get too old and that is why the book keeps selling and leaders continue to learn from it. ✨ I annotated a lot in this book as you can see in the photos as well. Some of his best quotes and references are: 🔴 ‘A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.’ 🔴 ’When two partners always agree, one of them is not necessarily.’ 🔴 ‘You can measure the size of a person by what makes him or her angry.’ Have you read this book? What are your thoughts about it? I’d love to hear more opinions. 😌 Link for my full review in bio ❤️ #cloudwrites . . . . . . . . #bookreview #bookreviews #bookreviewer #igbookreview #bookreviewers #bookreviewblog #bookreviewersofinstagram #minibookreview #picturebookreview #bookreviewblogger #audiobookreview #instabookreview #bookreviewing #bookreviewerswanted #yabookreview #newyorktimesbookreview #bookreviewsofinstagram #ebookreview #nytimesbookreview #30secondbookreview #bookreviewswanted #newbookreview #coffeeandbooks #bookstagrammer #books #bookstagram #booklover #bookloversalways #bookcommunity (at Bookstagram) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoP2Jvmrhcp/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Henry, half German, is dealing with his own private battle - an all-consuming infatuation with his best friend Sidney. Little does he know, Sidney feels the same. When Henry's family asks him to enlist to avoid anti-German sentiment, he jumps at the chance to escape his overwhelming feelings for Sidney. But to his horror, Sidney joins him at the front, and their classmates soon follow. Now, death surrounds them, and no one knows who will be next. In Memoriam is a breathtaking debut that tells an epic tale of forbidden romance and the devastating tragedies of war.

Pravin compared India to China in this book for military technologies, research, and development. In every place possible, he makes perfect predictions about the Indian military. Though the book looks at criticising the present central government, the leaders and the military policies, the book is not biased but an honest attempt. ⚰️ BUDDY READ MINI REVIEW ⚰️ Not me actually starting off the month well with buddy reads! 💪💪 (Well, I probably shouldn't pat myself on the back too quickly, as I signed up for like 7 of them and I've only read one so far...but anyway 😂) I'm taking part in @novellybritt's #bamboozledbookclub this month with THE DEAD ROMANTICS by @heyashposton, and it was the first book club book I read this month. I really liked this sweet story! The family dynamics were one of my favorite things about the book, as well as the sort of "meta" aspect since the MC is a writer and her ghostly love interest is her editor. This is about a 🌶️ level of spice, so if you prefer rom-coms that aren't too steamy, this one's great for you! Okay, I'm saving the rest of my thoughts for our book club discussion, so if you wanna know more, you'll have to join us 😁 The post for this is pinned at the top of Britt's page if you want in! Book Review #1
Book review by RIK GHOSH The book “You are the best wife” is written by Ajay K Pandey. As we all know Indians are exceptionally well in describing romance through their writings , this book is a perfect example of that. This book teaches us not to take our close ones for granted as who knows what will happen in the next day. The main characters of the story is Bhavna and the Ajay . This book is about their love story . Both of them met each other at IIERT , and started their beautiful journey. Ajay and Bhavna both of them are very serious at their studies , Bhavna is a kind of girl to whom love and marriage are same things and she wants Ajay as her best friend till their graduation, on the other hand Ajay’s thought process was same as her. Author perfectly described the meaning of love through this story, the way Bhavna supported him when he didn’t got any job during placements , during his MBA at IIMM(PUNE) when their relationship turned in a long distance relationship. Their support to each other during the conservative family drama was truly amazing. Their struggle for each other or precisely to be together was remarkable. At last when they won each other forever, got married and were spending quality time with each other god plays like a villain in their happy life. “You are the best wife” is one of the must readable book for all romantic story lover . It will surely bring a scratch in your heart, and it can change the perspective of love to you. I highly recommend you all to read this book.

THE SHADOWS
REVIEW: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was my first 5 star crime thriller in awhile. I went into this read without too much knowledge of the plot. I actually added it to my “to read” list because I loved the cover art 🙈. The book totally drew me in though. If you love dark and spooky mystery novels, this is for you! There were points in this book I actually got chills because I was reading late into the night and it creeped me out! Though the characters aren’t particularly memorable, an exciting plot twist and wickedly dark central crime more than make up for it. It has definitely convinced me to add his other book on my “to read” shelf! ...
Read if you like: -a great plot twist 😵 -dark and twisted story lines 💀 -emphasis on plot over characters 👥 -stressful thrillers 😰

Book #7! (Ooh, irony! Ha!) ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 3.5 stars This was an interesting story, especially with the flashbacks, but I’d like to see this author’s writing become a little more polished. Some of the transitions were a little choppy, and I think it would have been cool if the flashbacks more closely mirrored the present day. I admit that I was on the edge of my seat a few times but the ending was very abrupt — this book NEEDS an epilogue! I could definitely see this as a movie, though, maybe even a tv series. And I’d watch it! #bibliophilebookreviews #bookreview #bookrecommendations #bookstagram #readersofinstagram #reviewersofinstagram #bookreviewblogger #reesesbookclub #lucky #the52bookclub2022 https://www.instagram.com/p/CZP0EUkvWAC/?utm_medium=tumblr

What’s one mess that you can’t stand to clean up? . Hmmm…there are really so many. I’m such a princess 👸. I guess anything that came out of the human body (to put it gently since it’s so early in the morning for me.) . But Molly, from the awesome book, The Maid by Nita Prose cleans up everything with a good attitude. Everything but dead bodies, especially ones she’s accused of killing. . Happy Belated Publication Day to one of my favorite reads in the last year. It’s quirky, fun, full of thrills, and riddled with mystery. An easy 5-stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 . . . . Thanks to Random House for this wonderful photo. . #themaid #nitaprose #randomhouse #happypubday #newrelease #newreleases #newreleasetuesday #fivestar #⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #bookrecommendations #bookreview #bookreviews #bookrecommendation #bookreviewblog #bookreviewsofinstagram #bookreviewblogger #bookstagram #bookblogger #bookbloggersofinstagram #bookbloggerlife #mystery #mysterybooks #mysteryreadersofig #mysteryreadersofinstagram #mysterybookstagram #cozymysteryreaders📚 #cozymysteryreader #cozyvibes #cozymysteriesaremyjam #cozymysterynovels (at Lake Davidson) https://www.instagram.com/p/CYoboAmLAEq/?utm_medium=tumblr

🧜🏻‍♀️ BOOK CLUB MINI REVIEW 🧜🏻‍♀️😩 BREATHE AND COUNT BACK FROM TEN by @nataliasylv was the July read for the #chronicallyiconicbookclub and man, WHAT A READ! We had the absolute best discussion, and every single one of us (some who have chronic illness/pain or disabilities, and some who don't) saw something of ourselves and our experiences in it. Vero is a child of Peruvian immigrants who was born with hip dysplasia. This means she has lived with multiple surgeries and tons of pain in her life. Her parents sacrificed and struggled to bring her and her sister to America (Florida) for better healthcare and other opportunities. She loves to swim and has a dream to be in the show at Mermaid Cove near where she lives, a dream of which her parents do not approve (look closely at Vero's shadow on the cover and you'll see 🧜🏻‍♀️!). This book is all about growing up and out of the boxes into which our parents sometimes want to put us, finding our own way and speaking up with our authentic voices, exploring sexuality and first love, living as an immigrant but also an American and straddling the two worlds, AND dealing with chronic pain and disability and all that entails (the doctors visits Vero had were so very familiar to many of us in the group). I loved this book so much, and I flagged so many quotes and passages that spoke to me (you can swipe to see one of them). I cannot recommend this book highly enough -- it will absolutely make my top ten reads of the year, if not top five. I want *everyone* to pick this one up! If you do, definitely let me know your thoughts. My two cents on - The Woman in the Purple Skirt 🌸 The book starts with the narrator ‘The Woman in the Yellow Cardigan’ as she stalks ‘The Woman in the Purple Skirt’ and tries to share vivid details about her second-by-second whereabouts. In other words, she is obsessed with the woman in the purple skirt, and she describes her as “hate her or love her, but you can’t ignore her”. Furthermore, she states “Some people would pretend they hadn’t’ seen her, and carry on as before. Others would quickly move aside, to give her room to pass. Some would pump their fists and look happy and hopeful. Others would do the opposite and look fearful and downcast.” The narrator makes the woman in the purple skirt the protagonist of her life and is trying to live vicariously through her as she compares herself with her. She iterates that her life is a stark contrast to her protagonist as she is someone who is unnoticed and uncared for by the society and so she provides no details to the reader about her own life. It also hints at her unrequited desire to be friends with her and get to know her. The writer beautifully builds up the story about the narrator vigorously chasing the woman in the purple skirt and intricately steers the story as it takes a disturbingly intriguing turn towards the end. The author links the story to the real life of many people in Japan who are facing economic challenges, and that how we, are in some way, also ‘The Woman in the Yellow Cardigan’ as we stalk our own individual real-life ‘Woman in the Purple Skirt’. #reviewsonbooks #bookstagramers #singaporebookclub #thewomaninthepurpleskirt #bookreviewblogger #bookclubstagram #avidreadersclub #bookclubfavorites #bookwormcubbies #sundaybookreview #bookclubjoin #bookrecommendations #bookloversclub #booknerdforlife #bookporn📚 #bookcommuntiy #bookstagrammer https://www.instagram.com/p/CWPf4D7PZzL/?utm_medium=tumblr
