“Osamu!” You screeched, attempting to push your older brother off of you. “Get him off!”
Atsumu had tackled you to the ground and was sitting on your back, cackling with satisfaction as he pinned you down.
“I can’t help ya.” Osamu smirked as he walked by. He sat on the couch adjacent to you and Atsumu with an amused glimmer in his eyes. “Shouldn’t have eaten his pudding.”
“Why do you care if I eat his pudding?!” You growled, thrashing around under Atsumu to get some kind of leverage while he sat on you with all of his weight, rendering your limbs useless.
“If you eat his pudding, then he eats mine.” Osamu shrugged, “And I hate it when he does that.”
“Take it up with him! I just grabbed whatever was closest. You guys are so weird with your labeled food!” You tried to throw a punch at Atsumu and he caught your fist easily, snickering when you let out a loud whine. “Atsumu, get OFF!”
“No can do, kiddo.” He grinned, “Ya know what happens when you eat our food.”
“I’m gonna tell mom.” You mumbled.
“That’s dirty. Don’t bring mom into this.” Osamu interrupted and you shot a death glare at him.
“Stop involving yourself! I don’t need your commentary.”
“Don’t be such a tattle tale.” Atsumu teased, finally easing up on you and taking a bit of the weight off of your back. You gasped dramatically as you could finally take a full, deep breath.
“Thank you, god. You’re heavy.” You said quietly, deciding to fully submit and just lay down on the living room floor.
“Did you just call me fat?!” Atsumu gasped, crawling over to your face to look you in the eyes.
“Yes.” You nodded. Atsumu immediately turned to Osamu, who burst out laughing at his offended expression.
“Laugh it up, ‘Samu. If I’m fat then so are you.” Atsumu muttered as he finally stood up to take a seat next to Osamu on the couch.
“I can’t stand either of you.” You mumbled, grabbing a pillow and throwing it at them.
“Why’s baby Miya throwing a temper tantrum?” A familiar, monotone voice was coming from the entry way. You hadn’t even heard him come in.
“None of your business, Suna.” You glared at the tall boy. He responded with a crooked smirk while he walked in with his hands plunged deep in his pockets.
Suna was over at your house almost every day. He also teased you as much as your brothers did, if not more.
“Jeez, what’s with the attitude?” He snorted, “You sound like Atsumu. I swear you’re triplets.”
Suna jumped over the back of the couch and plopped down between the twins. You sat up, looking at the three of them for a second before getting up and retreating to your room.
“Aw, come on baby Miya. Where are you going?” Suna called after you while you walked down the hallway.
“I need to get ready. I’m going out tonight.”
You retreated to your bedroom and sat down at your vanity. Before you could even pull out a hair brush, Osamu had burst into your bedroom.
“Where ya going?” He asked, leaning against the doorway.
“Out?” You replied, getting up to sift through your closet for something to wear.
Your friend had set you up on a blind date tonight. Your mom had held your brothers back a year and since you were only 10 months apart, you were all in the same year. This meant you all had the same classmates, knew all of the same people, and they were constantly in your business.
When your friend had told you about this guy, he sounded too good to be true. He had gone to another school that was a bit further away, but since you had all graduated a few months prior you figured a bit of distance wasn’t that big of a deal. After all, you were all adults now.
“Out where?” Atsumu asked, pushing the door open all the way and standing against the other side of the frame.
“On a date…” you muttered. The moment you said that, your brothers came in and promptly sat on your bed.
“Where are you going?”
“With who?”
“Where did you meet him?”
“How old is he?”
“Is he picking you up?”
“How long have you known him for?”
“Oh my god.” You groaned, pointing at your door. “Can you guys get out? I need to get ready. Why are you asking so many questions?”
“Believe it or not, kiddo, we just want to make sure you’re safe.” Osamu said, standing up and walking over to pat you on your head.
“Ugh, ‘Samu, you guys don’t have to treat me like a kid still. I’m an adult now, you know.” You said, crossing your arms.
“But you’ll always be our little sister.” Atsumu smiled. “Mom can’t keep track of all of us all the time. So we need to do it for her.” His words were genuine. Even though the three of you bickered and teased each other, you were protective of each other. You knew your brothers would do anything for you.
You’d never tell them, but you’d do anything for them, too.
“If anyone needs keeping track of, it’s you two.” You smirked. Atsumu rolled his eyes and Osamu shrugged you off.
Your brothers tried to pry more information out of you, but you only told them the bare minimum. After all, you barely even knew anything. You didn’t even know his name.
“So? Where’s she going?” Suna asked as the twins came back into the living room. He was sprawled out on the couch and flicking through the tv channels.
“That restaurant downtown. The one a few bus stops before your house.” Atsumu said with crossed arms. “She won’t let us drive her.”
“I’ll take the bus with her.” Suna shrugged, “It’s on the way, so I’ll make sure she gets there safely.”
“Good. Then you can tell us who she’s meetin’ there.” Osamu smirked.
Whether or not Osamu had asked, Suna was planning on finding that out regardless.
“Call is if you need anythin’!” Atsumu called to you as you walked to the door.
“We’ll come! Just call us, okay?” Osamu added.
“I’ll be fine, but thanks. I’ll text you when I’m on my way home.” You said loud enough for them to hear you in the other room. “Love you.”
“Love ya!” They replied in unison.
Are you sure you’re not just spying on me?” You mumbled just loud enough for Suna to hear you from the seat behind you.
“Just decided to go home, baby Miya.” He replied, leaning forward. “Why? Do you want me to spy on you?”
“No!” You turned around and squinted your eyes at him. He looked back at you with a playful smirk and then went back to paying attention to his phone.
You got off the bus and hesitated for a moment, half expecting Suna to get off after you.
Except he didn’t.
You sighed, feeling the nerves creeping up and realizing you really were all alone now. Meeting a man you didn’t know, and unsure of what to expect.
You looked around and pulled out your phone to check the message from your friend again to refresh yourself on the characteristics of your blind date.
Dark hair, about 5’10, dark green eyes, ah-
“Miya, is it?” A man fitting the exact description was standing in front of you, a rose in hand and suspicious smirk across his lips.
“Yes, sorry, what’s your name?” Your voice was trembling and you had no idea why. You chalked it up to nerves, but it might’ve been the uneasiness you’d felt when you made eye contact with him.
“Daishou Suguru.” He said melodically. He handed you the rose and lightly pressed his hand to your lower back. “Shall we go inside? I have a table for us.”
You nodded, walking inside with him.
——
“So, Miya, any relation to those twins?” He asked, leaning in with his chin on his palm. He stared at you intently as if he wanted to soak in every word you were about to say.
“Oh, yeah. They’re my brothers.” You smiled. Even though they irritated you, you always liked to talk about them. You were proud of your brothers and all of their accomplishments, and talking about them was easier than having to come up with things to say about yourself.
“Ah,” Daishou nodded, thanking the server as she passed your dishes to the two of you. “Those two are real shit talkers, huh?”
“Yeah,” you laughed, a bit too casually for the occasion and realized you’d never even heard this guy’s name prior to tonight. “Wait, why do you say that?”
You were familiar with pretty much all of the volleyball players that your brothers had faced off against. Inarizaki’s own team were like family, but the other teams were around so often you’d gotten to know quite a few of the players from other schools just by going to the games and tournaments.
“Played against them once.” Daishou mumbled, the previously warm expression in his eyes was gone. “I don’t know which one I hate more. The mouthy setter or the spiker with the ego.”
You got goosebumps when he spoke these words. These weren’t normal rivalry grudges. This sounded like pure, unprecedented hatred.
You started to feel uncomfortable.
You hummed in acknowledgement. You weren’t sure how to reply, but you wanted him to know you’d heard him and were listening.
“So, how are you going to make it up to me?” Daishou asked. You froze, looking up at him.
His previously cold expression was warm again, cheeks round with a big smile. “I’m kidding.”
“Oh,” you giggled nervously and decided to focus on eating your dinner.
The rest of the evening went by okay. Little comments like that would have you unsure if there were ulterior motives, but when you’d try to look into it you’d see a happy smile from your date. Maybe he really was just joking, and was nervously trying to make you laugh.
When it was time to go, Daishou paid for the both of you and you left the restaurant together.
It was dark outside and pouring rain. You sighed, looking down the street at the empty bus stop. The bus wouldn’t be coming for another 20 minutes.
“Let me wait with you for the bus.” He smiled, wrapping an arm around your waist again. “I wouldn’t want you out here all alone.”
You reluctantly accepted but tried to keep your distance. While his arm was around you, your arms were crossed and you were trying to stay as far from him as possible. Something was off, and you wanted to get as far away from him as quickly as possible.
You sent your brothers a quick text to let them know which bus you’d be on.
“Let’s wait over here. Out of the rain.”
Before you could reply, he grabbed your hand and yanked you down a small alley. It was covered by the overhead of the buildings roof, but was pitch black.
“I had a nice time tonight.” Daishou purred, pressing his body against you and trapping you against the cold brick wall.
“Yeah, me too…” You said quietly.
Only a few more minutes.
Daishou leaned down, trailing his hand up your chest and wrapping his long fingers around your throat. Your breath hitched and you felt tears well up in your eyes. You knew something was wrong. You knew something was going to happen. Your gut feeling was never wrong.
You tensed up, preparing to punch him the moment you felt pressure from his fingers. Instead of choking you, however, his hand rested gingerly on your skin and he leaned down to kiss you.
You kissed back, completely uninterested but not wanting him to know that.
“So, you are easy.” He smirked against your lips. He grabbed your hands and held them against the wall. His tongue started to force its way into your mouth and as you tried to break away, his body pressed into you harder, making you unable to move.
“Please stop,” you whimpered, “I don’t- I don’t want this.”
“Just relax.” He dug his fingers into your wrist, holding both of your hands together with just one of his, and using his free hand to move down your body and fondle your chest.
“Daishou- I-“ you gasped when he bit down on your neck. It didn’t feel good at all, and was just a swearing pain.
“You know, it really is a shame that you’re related to those two.” He muttered against your skin. “You’re a pretty girl. Probably would’ve liked you had your shitty brothers not have been such dicks.”
“Please, please just get off-“ You sniffled. You fought your brothers all the time, so why couldn’t you get him off? Why were you tensing up? Why were you crying? Just push him off, just push and run.
“Shut up.” He muttered. He slipped his hand into your pants and you let out a sob.
“No, no! Get off of me! Stop!” You were crying now, your voice getting louder as you attempted to break from his hold.
Unfortunately, he was just too strong for you. He smacked you across the face and pressed his palm to your mouth.
“I told you to shut up.” He growled. “Blame the twins for this.”
You were sobbing now. Completely terrified as this man assaulted your body in this dark alley and all you could think about was how badly you wanted to get out of there. How badly you wished your brothers had spied on you, how much you wanted them to protect you in that moment.
Daishou glared at you as your wails got louder, pulling back and slapping you across the face so hard you thought you were seeing stars.
“That’s what happens when stupid girls like you don’t listen. Now be quiet!”
Your vision was blurred and dark and you thought you were about to pass out when you felt the weight of his body completely lifted off of you.
You immediately felt relief, not in the form of safety by any means but you felt like you could somewhat breathe again. The blow he’d given you to the head had you feeling dizzy and you sunk to the ground against the wall.
“You fucking-“ *whack*
“piece-“ *whack*
“of shit!” *whack*
You squinted your eyes open at the familiar voice. The same voice that had annoyed you earlier that afternoon. The voice that immediately gave you a sense of safety in that dark alley.
“Suna..?” You barely managed to squeak out. You were sure he didn’t hear you considering you could barely hear your own voice.
“You’re going to regret this for the rest of your life.” Suna spat, landing another punch directly to his face. “If you have issues with someone, take it up with them like a fucking man.” He growled. “Instead of preying on their little sister. You’re pathetic.”
Suna stood up off the ground and all you could do was watch through squinted eyes and your knees pulled to your chest.
He pulled something out of his pocket, it shined under the street lamps and you weren’t sure what it was. He grabbed Daishou by the collar of his shirt, forcing him to stand up before pressing the object against his throat.
“Give me one reason why I shouldn’t just kill you right here.”
You closed your eyes, covering your face in your arms when you heard Daishou start to sob. He sounded like you did a few minutes ago.
“I’d go to jail for her, no questions asked. Trust me when I tell you that I won’t hesitate.”
Suna was much bigger than him. Stronger. Taller.
“Hey,” Suna growled, pushing him against the brick wall. Daishou looked as light as a rag doll when Suna was throwing him around. “Answer me when I’m talking to you.”
“Please- I don’t- I’m sorry-“ Daishou choked out.
Suna laughed. A completely genuine laugh that made your skin crawl.
“Are you? Are you sorry?”
You looked back up at the two men, closer to you now and you could see that the object Suna had against his throat was a knife.
“Suna, wait-“ You tried to say to him, but your voice was still shaky and quiet.
Daishou was sobbing now, tears flowing from his eyes and wails ripping from his throat.
“Not so tough when you’re the one on the receiving end, huh?” Suna glared, putting his knife back in his pocket and throwing Daishou back onto the ground.
“Get the fuck out of here before I change my mind.” Suna said in a dark, low tone you hadn’t heard from him before. “And if you ever come near her again, I really will kill you.”
Daishou scrambled to his feet, holding his head and trying to stop the bleeding on his face that was surely from one of the rings Suna was wearing on his fingers.
You trembled against the wall, staring at Suna’s back as he watched Daishou leave. As soon as he was out of eyesight, he quickly turned to you and crouched down.
“Hey, it’s okay.” His voice softened, his gaze was kind and he hesitated before touching you. “Can I help you up? Can you stand?”
You nodded weakly and he crouched down, putting his arms under yours and standing you up. You could feel your legs wobbling and held onto his arm for support.
“Ugh,” He sighed, the pain in his voice coming through when he saw the true damage that’d been done to you. His hands carefully put you back together as best he could. He buttoned your shirt and pants back up, and shrugged off his jacket to put it on you instead.
You grabbed onto the sleeves and pulled them over your hands. It was even bigger than your brothers’ jackets, and you sunk into the soft material trying to grasp onto any little piece of comfort you could get.
Suna picked you up and held you against his chest. You wrapped your arms around his neck and he supported you from under your legs.
“How did you know where to find me?” You asked, your voice still quiet and strained.
“They told me what bus you were taking home so I came to make sure you got on okay. When it came and left without you I got worried and looked around, and then I heard you crying.” Suna let out a stressed out breath, “You know, I really would’ve done it.”
“I’m glad you didn’t.” You said, closing your eyes. You couldn’t even process what had just happened and didn’t know what you would’ve done if Suna wasn’t with you right now.
——
Suna’s house was only down the road, and you agreed to go there and get cleaned up before heading back home.
“Here,” Suna handed you a pair of comfortable pants and a t-shirt. “They’ll be way too long on you, but it’s better than your soaking wet clothes you’re wearing now.”
“Thanks…” you accepted the offer, stepping into the bathroom to change.
When you came out, Suna had changed too, but his eyes widened with shock when he saw the extent of your injuries.
He swore under his breath and approached you. When he reached out and touched your neck, his cool hand soothed the sting of the deep bite Daishou had embedded in your neck.
“Can’t believe he fucking bit you.” Suna’s voice was so quiet he was practically whispering, and you weren’t sure if he was talking to you or just thinking out loud. He trailed his hand around your throat and pressed his fingers on the deep bruises forming from when you’d been choked.
“That helps,” you sighed, leaning into his touch. Suna pulled his hand back as if he wasn’t even aware he’d been touching you.
“What do you want to do now? Should we call Osamu and Atsumu? Want me to take you home?” He placed his hands on your shoulders and continued looking you over. Suna brushed your hair out of the way, inspecting your face closely and grunting when he looked straight on at the black eye starting to appear.
You winced when his thumb grazed over the side of your head and he immediately pulled back.
“You were hit really hard. You should go to the hospital.”
You shook your head. “I don’t… I don’t want to go anywhere. Not right now, anyway.” You stepped over to his bed, sitting on the edge. “Can I just lie down?”
Suna nodded and pulled the blankets open, gesturing for you to crawl into his bed. He pulled the blankets on top of you and patted your arm.
“I’m just going to go into the kitchen to get a glass of water. I’ll shut the light off so you can rest a bit.”
The moment you couldn’t feel his presence in the room anymore, your mind travelled back to where you were earlier that night. Being attacked in a dark alley and suddenly you were feeling suffocated.
You sat up, gasping for air and Suna ran in, turning the light on and sitting next to you.
“Its okay, it’s okay,” He murmured, wrapping his arm around you and pulling you into him. He stroked your hair and let you cry out your fear as long as you needed to.
“I don’t…” You sniffled, “I don’t know what happened. When you left I just felt so scared all over again.”
“I’m sorry.” He said quietly, pressing his cheek against the top of your hair.
“Please don’t leave me alone.”
Suna nodded and stood up to go turn the light off again.
“Wait, where are you going?” You felt the panic start to take over again when the bed dipped down beside you.
“I’m right here.” His voice was kind. The Suna you’d known to always tease and annoy you had been replaced by something you could only describe as being your safety net.
Maybe this side of him was always here, and you just hadn’t ever noticed.
You laid back down beside him, moving close and nuzzling into his chest just like you had when he was carrying you. He wrapped his arms around you and softly trailed his hand up and down your back.
“I’ve got you, okay?” He whispered, “You’re safe with me. I promise. Just try and get some rest and we can worry about everything in the morning. You’ve been through enough tonight.”
You nodded and felt the relief wash over you. You knew you had a lot to deal with tomorrow, but having Suna by your side made it seem a little less scary.
Thinking back, he always was by your side. He would defend you when the twins would get too rough, and was definitely guilty of giving guys an intimidating glare when they’d try to hit on you.
You sighed, soaking in the feeling of his warmth.
You knew that from them on, you wanted nothing more than to be on his side.
And for him to stay on yours.

“(Y/N)!!!!!” Tanaka’s voice alerts the team that you had arrived to the gym. Suga runs your way jumping in you excited to see you after a week of you not showing up to the gym due to soccer practice and games taking up time after school.
Laughing along with him you wrestle him off you and Daichi approaches you and gives you a hand to help you up from the floor. “How’s your practice ? Heard that the you girls won three games last week. Talk about starting the season with a kick” his dad jokes make you cringe but laugh at his effort to going the extra mile with being nice.
“You doing anything on Tuesday ? We play Seijoh and-” As soon as you hear the school name you interrupt Daichi telling him all about your plan for that day. “ I heard !n I was actually going to go. I let the girls have the day off of practice so I’ll be able to go. I can cheer for you guys and all.” You say not me ruining your boyfriend and giving Daichi hope that you reciprocated his feelings for you.
“You’re just going because your boyfriend plays for Seijoh !! Don’t even try to be slick, ya hear !” Tanaka points at you and shouts like a bad mad making you blush. “Shut it baldy !!! I’ll always support you guys ni matter what”
“Did I hear that right ? Your….boyfriend plays for Seijoh ?” Daichi’s voice cracks a little at the word boyfriend but he finishes up with words trying to play off the hurt. “Oh yea, you guys know ‘im” you smile really hard waiting for one of the boys to say Hajime’s name.
“Is it that bastard Oikawa ?” Kageyama scowls
“The tall one with eyes who looks like he’s smoked for days” Nishinoya shouts out talking about Matsukawa.
“Hanamaki ?” Asashi whispers not too sure of his answer
“NOOOO IT’S IWAIZUMU” Hinata jumps up and down trying to get the rest of the guys attention
“He’s right. It’s the ace.” Suga backs up the younger boys answer. Daichi getting affirmation of who it was he deflated a little but smiles continuing to pretend like everything was alright. Looking at your watch you see the time and remember you had to meet up with Hajime. “Fuck- guys I’ll see y’all later, I have to go. I’ll be at the game Tuesday though. I have a good feeling you guys will win.” You wave at the team with a smile speed walking to the exit.
Getting to where you were to meet up with Hajime he receives you with a hug and kiss to your forehead. “Hey,doll. How was practice ?” “Good thanks, yours ?” “Shitty-kawa had the nerve to start bitching about something’s but it was good too”
You both walk towards your home. Practice let out late for you and Hajime didn’t want you walking home alone so he made for to walk you even if you said you’d walk with Hinata who lived close to where you lived. “What did I tell you ? That the boys volleyball team would be let out even more late than you. I can’t take the chances ,love” He reaches for your hand squeezing it lightly.
Once getting yo your house, Iwa hugs and kisses you plus greets your mom who opened the door for you. “Thanks for walking her home, hon” your mother hugs your boyfriend happy to know that you were in good hands with him. “ ah don’t worry about it. Coupon have her walking all alone at the hour.” He hugs back content with his actions. ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂
Tuesday Afternoon
The crowd for Seijoh was loud. There was no doubt that they wanted them to win. In the other side was the crowd supporting Karauno, which was much smaller and where you were seated with one of your defenses on the team. “You think they can take this W ?” “Yea they’ve worked hard and have practiced twice as much. Not only that but they have Daichi leading them. They’ll be fine” you respond glancing at her with full seriousness.
“If you say so capt’n” the short haired girl sighs hoping your instincts were right.
The game starts and things start to get interesting. When the game you saw Karasuno ready to take the set your voice is was the other heard. “Oh shit - Oh shit…OH SHIITTTT” you get up from your seat and cheer watching the ball kiss the courts floor. You were happy to see that the boys you were good friends with won but also felt a sting with seeing Iwa and the others cry silently while they thank the people who came out to support.
Your heart squeezes seeing this and you just had to reach out and get to your boyfriend before anything. You could only imagine the hurt he felt after a loss of a game and how devastated he is at the moment.
“I’ll be back” you grab your belongings and let the smaller girl beside you know. “Wait where ya goin’ !!! I thought we were going to get buns after this ?!” “We are !! Give me a few minutes and I’ll meet you at the gym exit!” You yell half way gone. “Capt’n my ass. (Y/n) you just wanna see your Iwaizumi.” She grumbles really wanting that meat bun.
Making your own way to the outside of the locker room where the Karasuno boys were - you smile at them congratulating them with hugs and high- fives happy to know that their hard work paid off. “You guys did amazing here out there. And Daichi *chefs kiss* beautiful” you butter yo the captain making him blush. “Thank you for coming out (y/n) it means a lot to all of us” Asahi bends over in front of you making Yh shake your head “please no no no. It’s not a problem at all. I’m happy to come out and support you all when I can” you finish up congratulating them and say your byes then make your way to where Iwaizumi would probably be.
Getting told by Mattsun that Iwaizumi was still in the locker room you tell him if he could give you boyfriend a message. “Tell him I’ll be at the front. I’ll be waiting for him there wih another teammate of mine, thanks” “of course I will. How can I say no to such a cute face” Mattsun bends to your height and begins to pinch your cheeks teasingly without realizing that Iwa was making his way out the locker room.
“Ahem - mind telling me why you’re touching her cheeks ?”
“Cause Iwa, they’re soft~ oh wait yours are too” Matsukawa reaches for Iwaizumi’s cheeks but he dodges them quickly.
“Ah you’re no fun. I’ll see you tomorrow, till next time my dear (y/n) ~” the male continues to tease and sing song as he takes his leave.
Walking to where you teammate was you could feel the sad aura radiating off Iwa. Stopping to turn to him you express your arms which he gladly accepts and pulls you close to him, burying his face into your black club jacket. “You probably think I’m a loser now” he grumbles letting out a sigh.
“No, you big baby. I think you did everything you had and deserves kisses” you jut your lips up waiting for him to pull back and meet your lips with his. “You’re just sayin’ that cause you’re my girlfriend” his grin around your waist tightens. “Hajime, baby - My cute ace and cry baby. I’m saying this because you really did do everything in your power to win. You and the team. Things just didn’t go as planned wnd that’s okay”
Pulling back from the embrace he smiles and leans in to kiss your lips content with knowing that even if he lost, you’d be there to help him stay standing or even help him stand up. “I love you, Messi” with a short laugh at his joke you pull him in to you once again “I love you too”
As you two had your moment the Karasuno boys came out walking to get in the bus. The corner of his eye is what got Daichi’s attention. Seeing you hugged up with someone other than him made him sigh deeply hurt that you had been taken. “Cheer up captain. I know you like her but please don’t let this kill your spirit” Tanaka smacks Daichi’s back pushing him forward. “I should’ve ask her out sooner” Daichi whispers for only Tanaka to hear but the the other chaotic players heard - Suga and Nishinoya come in hugging Daichi trying to cheer him up with Tanaka.
Though you weren’t with him, he’d always cheer for your happiness, no matter what. Daichi was just that person to wish the best to anyone who was grand to him.

If ya keep goin’, you’ll get the hang of it soon enough.
Yui: Yeah. Thanks, Yuma-kun.
Azusa: Eve, let’s try our best together, okay...?
Yui: Yes, let’s!
Yuma: Say, I think we’ll have better luck over here! Let’s move places!
Azusa: Sure...!
Yui: ( I don’t have much experience fishing, but thanks to Yuma-kun and Azusa-kun, it’s been a lot of fun. )
Azusa: Yuma, it’s really impressive that you’re not just good at growing crops, but can fish as well...
Yui: Yeah, I agree!
Yuma: Haah!? The fuck are ya guys sayin’!? Geez, stop blabberin’ ‘bout that shit and just focus on reelin’ in some fish instead.
If ya don’t keep a close eye on yer rod, ya won’t see it when the fish bite.
Azusa: Yeah...I knoーー Wait, uwaah...!
Yuma: Look, it’s a bite! Reel that bad boy in before it escapes!
Azusa: Y-Yeah...
Yuma: Hey, Yuma. It’s too heavy, I can’t reel it in at all...
Yui: Azusa-kun, are you okay!?
Yuma: Hold up! I’ll help out as well!
*Creaaak*
Yuma: ...Fuck, just how strong is this one!?
Yui: ( No way! Yuma-kun has joined in as well, yet they can’t seem to pull it out of the water at all! )
( The fishing line looks like it might snap soon. )
Yuma: This is nothin’ like anything I’ve caught before...! Could it be one of those legendary giant fish!?
Azusa: Eh? ...Really?
Yuma: Yeah, I’m positive! ‘Kay, this bad boy is endin’ up on our plate tonight! We gotta catch it for sure, Azusa!
Azusa: Y...Yeah...
Yuma: Then, let’s combine our strengths and go for it. Ready?
Azusa: Okay! I’ll try my best...!
Yuma: Ready, go!
*SPLASH*
Yui: ( Ah, they reeled it in! ...But. )
Azusa: Yuma, this is...
Yuma: Haah!? The fuck is this shit!?
Yui: ( This black thing covered in moss attached to the other end of the line, could it be... )
( A sunken swan boat? )
Yuma: Oi! Why did ya catch this thing!?
Azusa: You could say that it’s a rare catch, technically...
Yui: ( I didn’t think they’d reel in a swan boat...This really went beyond my imagination. )
Yuma: I thought we’d be in for a feast tonight. You’ve gotta be shittin’ me...

hey valves, its me who requested that Underbite encountering fem human s/o {lemon},Im sorry that i myself didn't include a limited characters for that request,so im gonna change it to Underbite bringing s/o to the base and Thunderhoof and just joining in,I hope that this is appropriete for the rules.
{request rating:lemon}
Absolutely! Sorry I put a limit, it just gets complicated with too many characters. Let's get to it!
Underbite didn't come back till late that night. He had grown...well. Kinda attatched to his new toy. So much so, he didn't want to let her go home. So, he decided to take her home. He just, couldn't tell Steeljaw. Sure, he was stronger than he was, but that puppy was CRAZY, and Underbite didn't fuck with crazy. It's why he waited so long to bring her in here. He could just keep her in his room, bring her food to keep her alive, and-
"Ayoo, Underbite!"
Slag. Thunderhoof. He quickly hid the human behind him, right behind his back foot.
"Thunderhoof. Uh, hey."
"What's up with youse? No one's been able to find ya anywhere."
"Went out. If I can't eat an entire like I wanna, I at least wanna go stretch these legs."
Thunderhoof looked at him, arms folded over his chest. He never started fights with Underbite, but Thunderhoof wasn't exactly a team player. Always on his own motivations and ideals. Suffice to say, he was ready and willing to start shit.
"Why you backin' up?"
"I'm NOT."
Underbite barked. So he was, he just didn't want Thunderhoof to see her. Thunderhoof looked at him suspiciously, huffing.
"Ya hidin' something. Is it some kinda weapon?"
"I'm not hiding any-"
"Underbite!!"
He stopped when he heard his little human cry. He had damn hear backed up so close to the wall, he almost smashed her. He was about to grab her and run, when Thunderhoof swiped her up, taking a gander at her. It was pretty obvious apparently, given the way he snorted.
"Ah. Human fuckin'. You wouldn’t be the first, Underbite ol' pal. You know, if Steeljaw knew 'bout this, he'd think you were buddy buddy with the autobums."
Underbite snorted. Great, now he had to barter with this guy.
"What's gonna keep your mouth shut?"
"I want a turn with the fleshie."
"You serious?"
Thunderhoof nodded, holding her in his hand and petting her frame with his thumb.
"Yep. Like you'd seriously be in trouble if Steeljaw knew. So, we take care of it now, I act like I dunno 'bout this."
"I didn't even know you liked humans."
"Don't usually. But this one looks eager to please, and I like that. So, deal?"
Underbite grumbled, before reluctantly nodding.
"Fine, deal. Come on. Quiet like."
Thunderhoof followed him back to his room of their little base, locking the door after Thunderhoof walked in. Thunderhoof set the human down, and she looked around the room.
"It's...not what I expected, but nice."
Underbite raised a brow, when Thunderhoof shrugged.
"Human movies. Probably thinkin' we live like those little green men."
"Like the what?"
Thunderhoof rolled his optics, waving it off.
"Nevamind, forget about it. Let's just get what I need."
She looked up from Underbite's berth (aka a pile of pillows), to see Thunderhoof kneal in front of her. She didn't move as Thunderhoof lifted her shirt up with his thumb, inspecting her frame. He gave a low whistle.
"Gotta give fleshies one thing. They're warm little guys. She's gonna do nicely on my spike-"
Underbite growled, bumping him with his shoulder.
"Hey. You get a turn, but don't forget, it's MY human."
"And I go first, you little-"
"Boys, boys! Relax, please!"
They were about to full on brawl, when they turned to look at her. She pulled off her pants, revealing her slightly wet panties. They watched intently as she parted her underwear, lightly stroking her folks.
"Why doesn't he go first, to get you ready for me?"
Underbite huffed, puffing out his chest as he walked over to his human. He was careful as put his face in between her legs, and let his big, wet tongue slither against her wetness. She squirmed a bit, clearly loving the sensation. She took off her shirt, revealing a set of tits. Most bots would be disgusted by human anatomy. But not Thunderhoof, and certainly not Underbite. She played and fondled with her chest for a moment, enjoying Underbite slurping her right up. Then, she looked at Thunderhoof.
"Why don't you pull yourself out? Let me see what I'm working with?"
Thunderhoof did as she said. He pulled himself out, revealing a long, thick spike. It wasn't 'tubby' looking like Underbite's, but it held such a nice pretty blue color to it, suffice to say she was interested. He pressed it against her, and she couldn't resist grazing her tongue against it. You'd think such a small body wouldn't satisfy two huge, horny mechs.
You'd be wrong.
Thunderhoof was pushing his spike against her, slowly grinding into her, Underbite's tongue was constantly threatening to enter her tiny, organic valve. She was in heaven, the way they seemed greedy and lustful for her. Thunderhoof chuckled, looking at the precum he was smearing across her frame.
"She's good at this. How long you've been trainin' her?"
"A week, maybe?"
He mumbled from her wetness, maw dripping from his own drool.. Thunderhoof whistled, bumping his tip against her lips.
"Fast learner. Speaking of fast, is she already gonna-"
Yep. She came already, crying out against his spike and on the other's glossa. Underbite pulled away, looking down at their panting, lightly shaking toy. She looked up at them with small, warm eyes.
"Think...T-thunderhoof should have a turn-"
"Don't gotta tell me twice."
Underbite didn't mind switching. He missed her little mouth and her little chest. Underbite moved to where her face was, and pulled out his spike. Before she could even speak again, his spike was on her face, and Thunderhoof's spike was pushing against her. Thunderhoof knew he couldn't fuck the human how he'd like, less he tear her clean in half, but he was still determined to get his fuck on. How? By thrusting against her, till his tip just ever so carefully pushed against her. It stretched her in a weird way, and she was living for it. They were BOTH loving it, bucking against her and covering her body in a slick, hot precum.
"She WANTS this, don't she? Sugartits, If I could, I'd ram this spike right into you, and I KNOW you want that."
Underbite was more of an action mech. He didn't need all this fancy talk. Just snarling, panting, animal like instinct. And like an animal, he came with a low growl in his throat. His cum soaked her whole body, even getting onto Thunderhoof's cock. Not that Thunderhoof seemed to notice or mind, given the snorting sounds he was giving. He came right after, leaving her in a sopping, wet mess of cum. Thunderhoof's voice barking at her nearly made her jump.
"I can't put it in youse. So you do it. Now."
She obeyed. She slid off the cum concoction from her stomach, and slowly fingered herself with it. She decorated her insides with it, leaving not an inch drenched in cum. Thunderhoof chuckled.
"Good girl. So good, I might just have to keep ya company when big mouth ain't here~"

MIYA ATSUMU - PROVE EM WRONG
Tumblr media
- summary - irked by his brother and his wife’s flirting in front of him, astumu decides it finally time to prove to his family that he too has settled down and with someone he genuinely loves at that - fluff - x f reader
- an - this is the alternative route to the osamu fic i wrote which is based off of this ask an anon sent in earlier, someone suggested i do both brothers with this plot and i think they were joking but i did end up getting a little carried away and writing two different routes for it so here u go >:)
-
“Oi, Samu! Stop flirtin with ya wife right in front’a me and get cookin, I’m starvin!” Atsumu whined as he rested his head against the kitchen prep counter which was currently occupied with countless cooking utensils scattered across the cool metal surface and various ingredients dotted around.
“Yer just jealous I have a gorgeous wife and you don’t” With a smug smile, Osamu wrapped his arm around his wife’s waist bringing her  in close enough for him to press a quick kiss to her flour dusted cheek.
“Yuck! Not over the food I’m beggin ya!”
She giggled and pulled her husband back in close to her before turning to give a quick smile to his irritated twin.
“Perhaps we should find you a girlfriend Tsumu! I know a few people who I’m sure would be at least willing to go out on a date with you.”
“Yeah, you’d probably have to pay em first!”
Atsumu huffed before sitting up properly with a smirk painted across his face.
“Actually, no need. I’ve got a girlfriend already.”
Osamu narrowed his eyes at his brother unsure whether to believe him or not. Atsumu was known for being sly especially when it came to him.
“Really? How comes we’ve never met ‘er then?” Osamu quizzed, eyes boring into his complacent brother’s.
“Cause she’s always busy and when she’s not she’s usually at my practices, besides, media’s a pain in the ass we don’t want them following us and bein annoyin wherever we go.” Atsumu spoke matter-of-factly.
Still not buying his brothers claims, Osamu thought of something that would surely catch Atsumu out of his potential lie. He nodded towards his wife to back him up and she sent him a knowing smile already knowing what he was thinking.
“We were thinkin of having the family over this weekend for dinner cause we’ve got an announcement to make, why dont’cha bring yer girl with you?” Osamu observed his twin watching for any signs of panic or discomfort but Atsumu’s face stayed content as if he was trying to provoke the couple in front of him.
“Lemme see if she’s free, I only have training in the morning but I’ll check if she’s got anythin going on before I drag her out.” Atsumu pulled out his phone as he stood up after checking the time. “Ah shit, I gotta get back, Omi’s gonna kill me if I’m late one more time, see you Saturday I guess.” He shrugged and waved to the confused pair left in the prep kitchen.
“Yeah, see you and yer girlfriend then.”
Atsumu smirked as he headed out to leave for practice, the sudden excitement for Saturday to arrive flooding his mind.”
If there was anything Atsumu loved more than you, it was proving people wrong.
Tumblr media
“y/n! Baby I’m home!” Atsumu called out, entering the sleek apartment closing the door securely behind him.
“Coming!” Your melodic voice called out to your boyfriend bringing a smile to his face. He heard the sounds of your feet padding across the heated floor towards him. After a few seconds of waiting, you finally reached your tired boyfriend who offered you a lazy smirk as he brought you into his arms.
“There’s my girl.” He muttered pressing a feathery kiss to your cheek before pulling you in for a deep kiss to your lips. He pulled you in even closer, hand supporting your lower back and the other moving down to give your ass a quick squeeze signalling for you to jump so he could carry you. Never letting his lips leave yours, Atsumu dragged his hand from your back to help his other hand in supporting the weight of your body now your legs had instinctively wrapped around his slim waist as your hands carded through his soft golden tufts. He carried you over to the couch and sat, having you straddle his waist before pulling away to allow yourselves to catch your breaths.
“What’s gotten you so worked up?” you huffed as you leant back slightly to look into his glinting eyes.
“Nothin much, saw Samu and his wife earlier… they don’t believe you exist.” A pout etched onto his face as you raised your eyebrow.
“Should I be offended?”
“Nah, guess they’re right, they haven’t met’cha yet, but we’re both so busy we never found the time to introduce ya.”
You hummed as Astumu pouted, face buried in your neck, his warm breath tickling your neck.
“Actually,” Atsumu began. “Would’ja mind comin to meet them on Saturday? Like, my whole family. You can say no if yer busy or if yer not ready I totally get-”
You shut the boy up with a quick peck and smiled gently at him.
“Tsumu, I’d love to meet your family.”
“Yeah?”
“Of course.”
Atsumu felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulder, he didn’t think convincing you would’ve been that easy. He was confident that you would’ve been open to meeting his family at some point, but there was still the lingering thoughts of doubt in which you may not have thought he was taking you or the relationship seriously, but after seeing your genuine smile and hearing your firm answer, Atsumu’s doubts washed away and a satisfied and relieved smile came over his face.
“They’re gonna be so mad when they see just how hot my girlfriend is, yer gonna show everyone who comes up, I just know it angel.”
You playfully hit your boyfriend's chest with a firm look on your face as he laughed.
“Don’t say that! I bet your family's great Tsumu, I can’t wait to meet them.”
Although you’d already said yes to meeting his family, Astumu felt his heart warm at the sound of you saying you were excited to meet his family. The fact you were happy to be involved even more in his life only made him want to let you even further in if he could. Atsumu was never really one for long-term relationships hence why he’d never bothered introducing any previous girlfriends to his family because he knew it would end eventually due to the fact he had to spend so much time travelling and at training. He had been taking a break from dating when he met you. You were introduced as the new MSBY social media manager, you were given the task to run the team’s official social medias, monitor the player’s accounts and keep an eye on certain articles while organising interviews and event appearances. It was a big job but you took it head on from the get-go thoroughly impressing Atsumu who made no attempts to hide his interest in you. Hell, he even went as far as to get scolded by you a few times for posting some risky shirtless pictures to his instagram purely for the fact he knew you were monitoring the accounts and that you’d see them.
5 months later and Atsumu had finally convinced you to let him take you out on just one date. But one date soon turned into two, then three, then seven and the rest was history. He wasn’t sure why you’d eventually given into his persistent flirting and whining but he didn’t particularly care either. He had you now and that’s all that mattered. You were the only girlfriend he’d had who understood and accepted his demanding work schedule because you yourself were on a similar schedule which he thanked the heavens for. Thinking back, Atsumu probably should’ve brought you to meet his family sooner but with the excitement of constant games, intense training, interviews and event appearances and grasping onto whatever time he could get alone with you, proved to overpower the thoughts of how significant it is for your partner to meet your family.
Whatever, they were getting the chance to meet you this weekend so better late than never he supposed.
Tumblr media
Saturday rolled round quickly and you and Atsumu were exhausted from a weeks worth of demanding work but there was no way in hell Atsumu was going to forget about how he needed to wipe his brother's smug smirk off his face when he introduced his incredible girlfriend.
Dressing nicely, the two of you rushed out of the apartment a little later than planned but Atsumu didn’t mind. Being a little late just meant more people would arrive before him allowing him to make a big entrance and cause a scene about who he’d brought along. You weren’t an accessory to Atsumu and he hoped you weren’t thinking that’s what today was about. Sure he had a petty side goal, but he was genuinely proud of you and would show you off whenever he could especially in front of the other MSBY players who’d only scowl at him when he’d wrap his arms around your smaller frame from behind while mouthing a ‘mine’ for the other men to sulk over.
You arrived after a 15 minute drive and Atsumu opened your door for you guiding you up towards his twin’s spacious home.
Knocking a few times, Atsumu gave your hand a quick squeeze of reassurance as you felt your heart pound ever so slightly quicker at the thought of meeting your boyfriend’s whole family.
The door was opened by Osamu who already had a look of amusement written across his face, ready to ridicule his brother for lying. His face dropped when he saw you holding his brother’s hand and blinked a few times to make sure his eyes weren’t deceiving him.
“He didn’t pay you to come with him did he?” Osamu questioned with shock as Atsumu sent a sharp flick to his brother’s shoulder. You hummed in amusement before smiling lazily at your boyfriend’s twin.
“My presence is an extremely high price, I doubt he would’ve been able to afford it if he wasn’t so persistent and annoying.”
“Tsumu, I approve, I like her.” Osamu snickered before letting the two of you enter his warm home filled with members of the Miya family.
A chorus of welcomes came their way as many family members rushed over to gush over how ‘out of Atsumu’s league’ you were and ‘why had you wanted to date someone as messy as him’ only for you to laugh brightly and tell his family countless stories about Atsumu’s antics at training and post match celebrations.
Astumu didn’t even mind you were poking fun at him every so often, growing up with Osamu had gotten him pretty used to it but he was more focused on how naturally you fit into his family. It was like you were meant to be a part of it.
Watching you as you spoke and laughed with his family, Atsumu let his thoughts wander to when and how he’d eventually go about making you officially part of his family one day.

[N’- xxx] JIHO turns into a vocalist (with KUN)
warnings: none
❀ JiHo and Kun prepare for and film their cover of ‘A Moment’ by RILEY
(Italics = Korean, normal = Chinese, bold = English)
Tumblr media
“You’re here?” Kun diverts his gaze from his computer to JiHo who just entered the room. “Hmm. Oh the camera is here already.” She waves at the camera before closing the door of the medium sized studio behind her. Kun nods and motions her to sit on the stool next to him.
“It’s getting colder outside.” The girl whispers. She takes off her teddy coat revealing a comfy-looking oversized sweater and then sits down next to Kun. They don’t look at each other for a few seconds, the mood turning slightly awkward, but the tension gets cut as Kun let out a chuckle.
“Ah what do I do? This wasn’t a good idea.” JiHo shakes her head, but the older boy quickly reassures her. “Don’t worry. The fans will love it as well.”
As Kun sets up his keyboard and plays around with the settings for a bit, JiHo turns to the camera. “Hey everyone. This will be out after the cover, but I asked Kun to help me with a song I want to cover so today we’re practising together.” Kun nods and tells her he’s ready to get started.
They do a run through of the first verse and then Kun stops playing. “You’ve gotten a lot better!” He compliments her and she awkwardly thanks him. “I think you’re doing great, you just have to be a bit more confident. Your voice can be very powerful, but you keep it in a lot.” Kun continues to give her some advice and she nods along as she listens.
A 30 second sped up clip plays of the two just practising together. Afterwards Kun isn’t in the room anymore and JiHo just looks around a bit. “Kun-oppa’s studio looks pretty cool right? I’ve been here a lot recently to practise, but I think it still looks cool.” She’s talking to the camera, but before she can continue Kun enters the room with 2 plastic bags in his hands. “Food’s here!” JiHo looks at him with a big grin. “Oh I’m so hungry!” She groans dramatically causing the older boy to let out a small chuckle.
They sit down together and eat in mostly silence, but then JiHo looks up at Kun and stares for a few seconds. “Something wrong?” He asks still shoving food into his mouth. “Could you maybe sing a part with me? Like make it a proper duet instead of you just playing the piano?” She looks at him with hopeful eyes but he just laughs and shakes his head. “I can’t JiHo-ya.” “Ah~ Why?” She huffs like a smal child which makes Kun laugh even more. “Besides you’re already doing great, the fans have wanted to hear you sing for so long. You’ll be fine.”
The video cuts and now JiHo and Kun are walking into an empty theatre. JiHo’s eyes widen in awe as her gaze falls onto the small group of musicians. She waves at them eagerly before looking back at Kun who was following her. “I can’t believe how a small cover between the two of us became a whole production with professional string players.” She laughs but her voice reveals she’s a bit nervous. Kun pats her shoulder reassuringly while they approach the stage.
JiHo is sitting down on a chair in the middle of the stage. A make-up artist fixing her concealer. That’s when she notices the camera. “Hi!” She waves to the camera. “Today we’re filming our cover of ‘A moment’ by RILEY and even though I’m really nervous I’m also very excited. Kun is going to be playing the piano, and there’s a lovely group of professional musicians who will be playing violin and cello. My vocal coach is also here, who’s been helping me a lot as well.” She explains and then her eyes meet her make-up artist. “And of course we have my beautiful make-up artist unnie here who’s making sure I look pretty. Isn’t she doing great?” She sends a playful smirk towards the masked woman in front of her, who lightly slaps her leg. “Unnie why? The fans have to know the talented staff who make NCT look nice every time.” The older woman mumbles to the girl to ‘shut up’ before walking away and JiHo laughs at her embarrassed actions.
JiHo then stands up to show her outfit. She’s wearing black straight-legged pants, a red velvet crop top to match with her red lip tint and a short-sleeved blazer. Everything but the crop top being oversized, you almost can’t see her white sneakers under the length of the pants. “I know it’s a very fancy looking video with us being in a theatre and all, but together with the stylists we found an outfit which is very comfortable yet still fits the concept. It’s very my style.”
Kun appears from the girl’s left side and he looks at her with a fatherly smile. He’s wearing a black suit with a wine red button-up. “Look we’re matching.” JiHo points between them two excitedly. “Are you ready? We’re going to do a run through of the song.” Kun asks the younger one and she nods. They both turn to the camera and wave while saying goodbye.
There’s a little montage of how the video shoot goes down. JiHo is sat on her high chair in the middle of the stage, the musicians and Kun in front of her on the right side of the stage. Camera men walk around the stage. Even a camera which is mounted above the stage moves along the length of it to catch different shots. There’s moments where someone messes up, whether that be JiHo, Kun, the musicians or the camera men which cause everyone to laugh and start over. But at the end of the shoot the director screams out, “Cut!”
“That’s a wrap on everyone! You did a great job.” The director says once the cameras cut and everyone starts applauding. “Also give it up for JiHo! It’s her official debut as a vocalist!” JiHo’s vocal coach yells excitedly, her voice booms through the whole room. The girl laughs embarrassed as everyone is now looking at her and cheering her on. After a few seconds she bows to everyone and then towards the staff. “You’ve worked hard, thank you so much!”
Once everyone starts to pack up JiHo and Kun are gathered in front of the camera. “Today was a very fun day that we’ve waited on for a long time.” Kun starts off. “We’ve been practising for 3 weeks now since we also have NCT practises it’s been taking a little longer.” “But I’m thankful for all the staff and the musicians, and of course Kun ge-” She motions to Kun with her hands and he bows and says a quick ‘no problem’. “-for joining me for this cover. It’s my first time actually singing like this so I’m a bit nervous for Czennies’ response but I hope everyone likes it.” “Thank you everyone for watching!” They both say and wave the camera goodbye for the last time.

Side Note: I don’t like being negative but I want to be honest so if you don’t want to read about it the post ends here and I wanna thank you for reading <3
For those who stayed, I just want to be honest and say that I feel like I’ve been stuck in a rut. It might be because of the weather or just the fact that I’m trying to post everyday, but I’m just insanely tired. I enjoy writing a lot and I want to write, but I feel that at this point I’m just pushing out posts that I’m not 100% happy about, just because I feel like I have to. I’m not even comparing the last 2 post I made with Explode and Resolve, but just my content in general, and I feel like these posts aren’t as good. This week I genuinely feel so lost with the direction I’m taking this blog and I feel like I’m sabotaging myself by posting so much and putting my expectations so high. I’m not asking for feedback, I just want to say that the feedback, the comments, everything that I’ve been getting (of which I don’t feel like I deserve any of) have been so heartwarming. For those who’ve read this far, and for those who continue to read my content, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m not going to stop posting, I just want to vent really and this little rant will most likely be deleted later. I’m going to start putting more thought in my posts, so that I can continue to provide you with posts you actually want to read and expected from me when you clicked on my blog, because I owe you guys at least that much. ilyasm <3

He drove back up the Beach House, but you and Ariel had abandoned it for a loft in the city, no forwarding address. He asked himself why he was putting so much effort just to get back in contact with you. He couldn’t explain it, it was like something against logic.
He dialed Ariel’s number.
IGNORE.
Redial.
IGNORE.
Text: “Answer your phone!!!”
Redial.
“What do you want?”
“I want to talk to Y/N,”
“Well she doesn't want to talk to you,”
“What did you tell her, Ariel?”
“The truth,”
“I don’t...I can’t even begin to imagine what that means in your language,”
“Oh whatever Raf, what does it matter what I told her? She’s MY friend, not yours!”
“You don’t OWN her Ariel,”
“Don’t I?” She smirked. “I feed her, I clothe her, I give her a roof to sleep under. I even gave her a cute necklace with her name on it, like a collar,” she smirked.
"You're evil," he sneered.
“I’m a saint,” She scoffed. “Do you know where that girl would be without me? Do you know the years it would take in a therapist's office to heal the emotional trauma I so selflessly saved her from? Her life will be enriched and better because of me, how many girls can say that about you?"
“Oh right, like helping her hasn’t served you any purpose?”
“What purpose could it possibly have?”
“Please, if I ever saw you do anything less than 90% selfish I’d die of shock,”
“Oh that would be reason enough for me,”
“Look, I get it. You've never had a mother so you're treating her like your personal Barbie doll,"
“And what, you wanna be her Prince Ken? Or, lawyer Ken,”
“She’s NOT a Barbie doll!”
“You’re right, she’s not. So I’m not going to let you play with her emotions,”
“What does that even mean? For fuck’s sake Ariel, I just want to be her mentor,”
“Really?” Rafael could hear her rolling her eyes through the phone. “You’re trying THIS hard to mentor some girl you met less than 24 hours ago? REALLY,” She chuckled.
“I may not be ‘Harvard’ smart BRO, but I’m not stupid. I know when a guy has let’s say, less than moral intentions with a girl,”
“It’s not like that,” He growled. “She’s a sweet girl, Ariel. And I’m not going to let you try and change her into your clone,”
“Wha--my clone? Please, Raf she could NEVER reach my level. Believe me, I’ve tried for four years. She’s a good sidekick,”
“This isn’t over,”
“Isn’t it? You have ZERO idea where we are,”
“Please, there’s maybe 5 places in Manhattan you’ll go, and they’re all on the Upper East Side. It’s not hard,”
“Well then, I guess we’ll see who’s better at hide and seek!”
CLICK.
------
Ariel rolled her eyes with a smile just as you walked in the living room.
“Who was that?” You asked, toweling your hair from the shower you had just exited.
“Mom,” She rolled her eyes. “She wanted to make sure we weren’t tearing this place up,”
“Oh?” You asked, suddenly hopeful. “Was she going to ask Rafael to check?”
“What? NO,” Ariel shut down that thought quickly. “I assured her she didn’t need to send that dog over here to sniff around you anymore,”
“Ariel,” You rolled your eyes with a sigh. “I’m a big girl,”
“I know sweetie,” She walked over and scrunched your face. “Such a big girl,”
“Whatever,” You rolled your eyes again walking back to the bedroom.
“Hey…” Ariel grabbed the TV remote. “Do you wanna watch Clueless?”
“What? ….Why?”
“I don’t know, you mentioned it yesterday and now I can’t stop thinking about a young Paul Rudd,”
“....Who looks exactly like present Paul Rudd,” You laughed.
“I know right? I want the magic face cream he must use,” She giggled as you both sat down on the couch to watch the movie.
----
“See, Cher isn’t a bad person, right? She saved Tai,” Ariel gestured to the TV.
“Am I Tai in this situation?” You eyed her.
“Well, yeah,” She shrugged. “Duh,”
“I’ll take it, I love Brittany Murphy,” You shrugged.
“RIP,” Ariel made a sign of the cross with a kiss looking up to heaven. “We should pour one out for her,”
“On your mom’s thousand dollar rug?”
“Okay, so maybe just pour one for us,”
Her phone vibrated wildly; it vibrated so hard it fell off the coffee table onto the floor. You picked it up to put it back, but you happened to glance at the screen.
BHOLE BARBA: You can’t keep her from me forever, Ariel
Wha….keep who from him? You? Did...was he...did Ariel….?
“Alright, who’s ready for mimosas?!” Ariel said in a singsongy voice as she returned with two flutes of champagne.
“What is this?” You held the phone up to her. She read it, her eyes grew wide.
“I...He’s talking about the Adele CD I borrowed from him forever ago, he’s weirdly possessive about ‘her’,”
“Ariel,” You interrupted her with a stern face.
“What?” She played dumb.
“...How could you do this to me?” You asked with a hurt expression.
“Do what?” She rolled her eyes with a laugh. “Protect you from my loser ex brother?”
“You--! Oh my god,” You couldn’t believe it. Your own best friend was trying to mess with your happiness?
“Oh come on Y/N, it’s not that big of a--” She rolled her eyes with a laugh, pissing you off even more.
“It IS a big deal!” Tears stung your eyes, you hated that you started crying when you got angry. How pathetic was that?
“Why? You can’t possibly be in love with him or something,” She scoffed.
“NO! Of course not,” You crossed your arms. “But he could help me with school, with my career! Don’t you want me to get a good job, eventually move out of here?”
“Maybe I don’t!” She yelled suddenly.
“...What?” You asked in disbelief.
“Look, Y/N,” She sighed. “I...you...we both know under normal circumstances, we would never be friends,”
“...I mean, I guess…” You shrugged.
“Oh come on,” She gave you a look. “You’d have to explain every sentence you spoke to me,” She had crocodile tears rolling down her cheeks.
“Oh come on Ariel,” You sighed and sat next to her. “You’re NOT stupid,”
“I’m stupider than you!” She cried.
“...More stupid,” You corrected her.
“See?” She sniffled.
“Okay, but-- still,” You took her hand. "You're my best friend. Do you think that if I don't have to live with you anymore, I won't be your friend?"
"Maybe…" She looked at the floor.
"Ariel!" You cried. "Really? Come on,"
"You come on!" She was actually getting upset now. "Look, Y/N. I don't have...friends,"
"What?" You snorted. "You have the biggest social circle I know!"
"Yeah but--" she tried to find the right words. "They're not like….friends, friends ya know? They're more like…. followers, or leeches, of--"
"Sycophants," you chuckled. She did surround herself with as many people who would tell her she was amazing as possible.
"I don't know what that means but probably, yes," She nodded. “You’re the only one who I can actually talk to, you’re like my little sister,”
“....Right, so…? You think I’ll just give all that up if I move out? If I don’t need you financially anymore?”
“Maybe…” She mumbled. “But ALSO, if that stupid asshole gets into your head about me!”
“Oh God…” You put a hand over your head. “Ariel,” You took both of her hands and looked at her very seriously.
“You are my absolute best friend in this entire world, no…’boy’ could change that! I’ve known you so long, I know you completely. Nothing he could tell me would make me turn on you, I swear it,”
“Really?” She raised an eyebrow at you.
“Really! You held a hand up like an oath. “AND, even if-- WHEN, I get financially stable and can live on my own two feet, I will ALWAYS be your friend,” You used the oath hand and placed it in hers again. “I swear it,”
“....Okay, but absolutely ZERO sleepovers here,”
“Oh, my god, ARIEL,” You gasped. “I JUST want to talk to him about law stuff!”
“Yeah, that’s what he said too,” She rolled her eyes, not believing either of you.
“He did?” You felt your face fall.
“Ah HA! See? Disappointment!”
“Shut up,” You hit her. “I don’t care, we should just be professional anyway,”
“Uh huh,” She nodded sarcastically.
“Are you going to give me his number or not?” You gave her a look.
“No,”
“ARIEL,” You crossed your arms.
“No, then you’re going to immediately call him and give him ALL the power,” She wagged a finger at you. “I’m going to give him YOUR number, and if he calls you, he calls you,”
“Ariel…” You gave her another look.
“What? You don’t believe me?” She feigned offense.
“I really don’t,” You shook your head.
“Alright FINE,” She pulled out her phone and opened her texts with Rafael, typed in your number and hit SEND.
“Happy?” She showed you her phone.
“....Maybe,” You hid the giddiness that was building in your stomach.
Almost IMMEDIATELY after sending the text, your phone lit up wildly.
“Good god I’m gonna get out of here before the nerdy phone sex starts,” She ran out of the room with her mimosa in tow.
“Shut up!” You hissed, mentally preparing yourself for this phone call. The phone call you’d been waiting for for days, even when you thought he was a “player”. You took a deep breath and hit ANSWER:
“Hello?”
“Y/N?”
“Yeah who’s this?” You asked coyly.
“It’s...Rafael, Barba…”
“I’m sorry, who?” You teased.
“Ariel’s….brother?” He skipped the asterisk that went along with “Brother”.
“Ohhhh right right right,” You nodded, keeping him nervous. “Yeah, Ariel told me all about you,”
“I knew it,” He growled thinking about Ariel and her lies. “Whatever she said, she’s lying,”
“Oh so you don’t want to be my mentor?”
“Wha--?” He was shocked. Did Ariel actually change her mind? Or dare he think...a change of heart?
“Yes! I mean, I do! I absolutely do!” He may have said that a little too overzealous, so he dialed it back. “I mean, if I have some time I’d be up for it, if that’s okay with you,”
“I might, maybe…” You were twirling your hair in your fingers. “When do you think you might have time?”
“Well you know I was thinking--” He started, but there was a knock at the door.
“Oh sorry, one second,” You got up and walked over to the door and swung it open to reveal Rafael standing there, right in front of you. He was dressed in a black suit with a pink tie. As amazing as he looked in street clothes, you thought you might mount him right there in that suit.
“I have some time right now,” He smiled, acting as if he was still on the phone. You couldn’t help yourself, you leapt into his arms and kissed him, HARD.
-------
“Hello? Y/N?”
You snapped back to reality, Rafael was talking to you on the phone.
“Oh! Um, Yeah, sorry what?”
“I said I have some time right now, if you wanna meet for coffee or something,” He half laughed, still enchanted by your awkwardness.
“Yes! Sure! I...let me just get dressed, just text me the address, I’ll meet you in a few,” You were so glad he couldn’t see how beet red you were from that little fantasy you had just been in.
“Sounds good,” You could hear him smile; even through the phone it made you weak in the knees.
You hung up and ran to Ariel’s room, hoping she’d help you get dressed.
What could you wear to impress him?

See others spoofy stories from our server here.   - I’m posting another halloween fic later, sum Semi fluff. lmk if u wanna be tagged - Thank you so much @newfriendjen for the betaread and @aomineavenue for that idea u gave me ehe - Sakusa brainrot
Nothing beats the spirit of Halloween, the best holiday ever invented. Ghost stories, people in costumes, haunted houses, scary movies, everything about this holiday — you love and welcome them all. Last year, your Halloween adventure was you and your friends trying to make a documentary (actually it was just you hogging the camera and tripping your friends that you’re seeing apparitions) in an abandoned building.
But the highlight of that Halloween wasn’t that. It was meeting Sakusa. Albeit how sweet that sounds, the whole of it was honestly ridiculous.
A year ago, you and your coworkers agreed to join the Halloween party at the club near your office. You drew lots on what will be the theme of each person’s costume in the office. The person whose costume fits their theme the most gets a prize. When you got “something unexpected” at the draw, you were thrilled at all the possibilities your imagination could think of.
But then work fucked you up until you barely had any time left. You only had less than 48 hours to come up with an award-winning costume. As you’re scrunching for your work deadlines, you look around for possible costume inspirations. And voila, your eyes landed on that certain object near your monitor.
You laughed your head off when you pictured what you’d look like.
At the club at the night of the Halloween party, it was expected to have most people in costume. No one gave anyone a second look for being all dressed up.
Except for you.
When you entered the bar, people were staring. You made your way to your colleagues, uttering your excuse mes and sorrys to the people you bumped. Once your officemates saw you, they guffawed simultaneously. You were wearing white boots, surgical , a light blue long-sleeve top, and black short shorts. On top of the long-sleeve top and shorts was a white box hanging inches just below your thighs which made it look like a box dress. Printed on the front of the box dress was “GERMINATOR. Kill 99.9% germs” complete with its logo. At the back of it was the product’s information. It even had an improvised pump on your head. On your bare thighs was a holster holding sanitizers instead of guns.
You twirled in front of your colleagues and they all gave you a round of applause.
You were so stressed out with work that you drank your heart out before the party even began to reach its peak. Your nearing drunk ass was letting loose when your back collided with someone and you nearly tripped.
It was a guy with white streaks on his hair that was held up by gel or wax. He gasped as he took in your appearance. “Miss! Please come with me.” The guy didn’t really give you a choice when he grabbed your wrist and dragged your tipsy self to wherever.
“Omi-kun! I brought you someone.” He said while he hid you behind him.
“Really, Bo-kun? You think he’d be interested in anyone from here?” You heard someone say despite the noise. The guy who just hauled you there moved away to reveal that certain someone, aka you. You went with the flow and gave them a curtsy while your vision started to sway a bit.
You easily distinguished who he’s with since they’re all wearing the same yellow jacket. “What are you s’ppsed to be? A boy band or somethin?” you asked but no one answered.
You are met with different reactions. Two of them dropped their jaws. One had a wide smile on his face, obviously proud of finding you. Then, there was this guy you couldn’t make out because he was wearing a face mask. After recovering from their shock, the three men looked at the one who wore a face mask.
The guy with white streaks turned to you and said, “I’m Bokuto,” referring to himself. “That’s Hinata,” he pointed out to the shortest guy in orange hair. “Miya, “ the blonde one said, then grabs the face masked-guy who has a stiff frown on his half-visible face. “And this,” he pushed the face-mask man in front of you, “is Sakusa.” Everyone looked so entertained and so amused, except for the one directly in front of you. But you don’t acknowledge the somber aura coming from him. You like being the source of entertainment, especially for this event.
“Oh you unsanitary boys! You can call me,” you grab two sanitizers dramatically from your holster and pose like a sailor scout, except weirder. You couldn’t even tell how you exactly posed your arms in the air, you just let the alcohol do the work. As a finishing touch to the pose, you winked and announced, “Germinator-chan!!!”
At that, Miya spilled the drink he was about to take while Bokuto put his hands on his hips as they both laughed uncontrollably. Hinata walked beside …  what was his name again? You’ll just continue calling him face-mask man. “You look so cool, Germinator-chan!!” Hinata beamed at you while scanning your whole look. “We should’ve dressed up as well,” he added with a slight pout.
Ah. Sakusa it was.
Miya ,who was still laughing his heart out, put an arm around Sakusa, “My, my, Omi-kun,” he paused to chuckle, “We’ve found yer dream girl!” Sakusa tried to shrug Miya’s arm off of his shoulder. “Please don’t touch me.”
Bokuto came closer as well and spoke to Sakusa, “Are you still leaving? Germinator-chan can keep you clean.”
“Of course I’m still leaving. I shouldn’t even have come in this germ-infested place” he said and was about to saunter off towards the exit. Before he could even pass you by, you block his path and extend your arms.
“Germ, you say? I got you,” you said while you poised your sanitizers in place, ready to give him some if he extends his hands to you. You find no shame in how flippant you seemed. This is what Halloween parties are all about. You, yourself, are having fun even if you don’t entirely grasp why they’re teasing the guy. He probably has a cold and wants to avoid too many people.
You weren’t expecting it, but Sakusa held out his hands. You thought he was just going to ignore your antics because he seemed annoyed. You heard him mumble something, but because of the music and his face mask, you didn’t hear it.
“Sorry, what?!”
He comes a bit closer, close enough for you to notice how he’s not as serious as he was before. More so, he looked pleased. Since half of his face is covered, all your attention went to his eyes, and at this proximity, you became aware how pretty they actually looked. Or maybe you’re already drunk and he’s just too close.
“Thanks, miss,” he uttered softly.
“BAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!! You’re perfect for each other!” Bokuto’s laugh drew your attention away from Sakusa.
“Before you leave, Omi-san. Can we take pictures with you, Germinator-chan?” Hinata asks with his phone already on his hand.
“Ah yes yes, Shoyo-kun. Clever idea.” The Miya guy said with a widespread grin on his face. Once again, they all gathered around Sakusa. You joined them with silly poses as they took several selfies with you. The three of them were obviously having fun while Sakusa’s expression was the same in all the photos. Even with the face mask, you could tell. He’s pissed. As soon as they put the phone down, he was on the move again.
“Wait, Omi-kun!” Miya stopped him once more. Sakusa looked like a vein was gonna pop on his temple. Maybe you just imagined him being pleasant a while ago.
“We’re letting ya leave, don’t worry.” Miya smirked prior to adding, “after ya take pictures with Germinator-chan.” You see Sakusa’s shoulders slump in defeat. But you didn’t feel bad for him at all. In fact, you also wanted to keep on teasing him.
As they snap pictures, you kept on doing superhero poses with your costume. Sakusa’s impassiveness doesn’t bother you one bit. You kept on flailing around him while they took pictures. When they had their fill, they said their goodbyes as Sakusa walked away without even looking back.
“Byeee. Stay germ-free!” You half-shouted as he already gained some distance away from you and the three men. When he reached the exit, you felt someone tap your shoulder. You turned on your heel and saw Miya offering you a drink. “You, Germinator-chan, are fucking awesome.” The three boys wore big smiles on their faces which you reciprocated. You bowed as acknowledgment to the compliment and took the offered liquor. You gulped a significant amount before excusing yourself “Bye boyysss.” You head back to your coworkers, faltering on every step of the way.
Two days after that Halloween party, life went on. You regret drinking so much that night. You barfed like crazy when you got home and you had a massive hangover the morning after so you had to take the following day off. Since everyone in your office knew why you had to be absent the previous day, they made you do additional work that day.
You’re a Lifestyle writer, but the Sports department needed another person today. They weren’t able to do the interview for some players the week before so you’re needed to do the last set of interviews. You don’t really know anything Sports-related. They just gave you a list of the people you’re going to interview and the questionnaire for them to answer. The most you could do is follow up on their answers. You looked at the names to be interviewed.
Shion Inunaki
Kiyoomi Sakusa
Shoyo Hinata
You don’t know why, but the names were awfully familiar. You shrugged it off. Maybe you just saw some articles about them from the Sports department.
You arrived at the gymnasium and went straight to their manager, stating that you were scheduled there to interview some players for your magazine. You took your seat at the sides and waited. The first interview with Inunaki went smoothly. When you’re done with him, he called the next guy and got back to their practice.
Upon seeing the next interviewee, you stare intently at him for he looked incredibly familiar, you just had to remember where you met him. Black, curly hair that framed his face nicely. Two moles located right above his right eyebrow. Sharp, serious eyes. But something’s off. Something at the back of your head knows that you’ve seen his face, but something’s amiss.
Face mask. He wasn’t wearing his face mask.
Sakusa.
Drunken memories came rushing down to your sober mind. You even heard your frilly voice saying Germinator-chan!!
You looked down and fixed your glasses as an attempt to hide your face. You cleared your throat and deepened your talking voice so that he wouldn’t perceive any resemblance you may have with what you looked like two nights ago.
You started the interview and took down notes more keenly than you should, just so you wouldn’t meet his gaze. From your peripheral, you saw him trying to get a better look at your face.
“Excuse me, have we met somewhere?” he said after answering a question from your list. You smile thriftly and shake your head. “I don’t think so.” He didn’t look convinced, but he didn’t press on.
‘Kami-sama, I swear to take care of myself and not contaminate my precious body with alcohol. Just let me go through this unnoticed. I’m begging you,’ you prayed silently.
Fortunately, the interview ended with Sakusa not figuring out who you were. When the last interviewee sat down, a pair of bright hazel eyes stared at you with glee.
“GERMINATOR-CHAN!” Hinata yelled while pointing at you happily. It echoed in the whole gymnasium and how awfully lucky you were, everyone was on break. You felt everyone’s eyes on you. Not long after, you’re crowded by not only the four boys you met that fateful night, but everyone else in the team.
“Wow. This is the Germinator-chan?” A player you didn’t know asked.
Apparently, Miya shared the pictures to every single one on the team. Inunaki joined their fun and tapped the back of Sakusa. “Real nice, Sakusa-san!” You heard a familiar voice and found Miya beside Sakusa. “Well, well, Omi-kun. Her alter-ego’s real pretty.” The taunts were focused on Sakusa, but you felt like sinking on your seat that moment.
“Um!!” You got all their attention. “Sorry, but can I finish my interview with Hinata-kun first?” You smiled as professionally and as nice as you could. They all uttered light apologies and dispersed back on the court. You resumed with the interview as fast as you could. You thanked Hinata and their manager and semi-sprinted out of the court when you had the chance. No way you’re gonna get hounded by any MSBY member again.
The exit was just a few steps away and finally, you can rest easy. You let out a breath of relief when you reached outside with no problem.
“Germinator-chan.”
You yelp from the sudden voice behind you. You slowly turn around to confirm if it was who you thought it was. And behold, it really was Sakusa Kiyoomi. You twiddled with your fingers while thinking of what you should say. You didn’t want to apologize for your behavior the other night. You liked having fun and going crazy. You saw nothing wrong with that. You didn’t do anything inappropriate. It’s just that you didn’t think you’d see any of those men right when you’re working.
He walked towards you until you were face to face. Without his face mask, you end up staring at his whole profile that was partially hidden that night. He must’ve been really sick to want to cover such an attractive face.
“What brand of sanitizer did you use?” You blink twice from the confusion. “What?” you ask dumbfoundedly. “That night. The sanitizer you gave me felt nice. Did it have 70% isopropyl alcohol?” You couldn’t tell if he was just messing with you cause his face is dead serious. That’s when you figured it out.. The face mask, the early escape from the crowd, attention to disinfectant — he was a clean freak.
“Umm. I-Uh.. I’m not really sure. I didn’t really check,” you said, then laughed nervously.
“Do you want some recommendations?”
“Huh?” You felt like an idiot for not fully grasping what he was talking about. If you weren’t staring so hard, you wouldn’t have noticed it, but something broke his stoic expression when his eyes averted your gaze for a second. He looked a bit unsure.
“I can help you choose a good sanitizer...and stuff.”
The smile that broke in your face was wide and it hurt your cheeks. You’ve been asked out several times, but that. That was unlike any other you’ve ever heard. It was so weird. It was the kind of weird that appeared so charming to you.
You just had to go out with him.
A year after that, you find yourself in his apartment to celebrate Halloween. Originally, you wanted to go to that Halloween party again, but no matter how much you pouted, begged, and pestered him, the answer was a big, fat no.
This is your most-awaited holiday of the year. There’s no way you’re missing out on Halloween activities with him. So days prior to this, you brainstormed on what activities you could do with him.
Haunted House? Dirty.  Abandoned buildings? Dirtier.  Street Parties? Crowded. Ouija Board? You’re scared something will actually happen.  Zombie run? Dirty and crowded.
You almost gave up until you remembered your vast collection of untouched horror movies, documentaries, and series that you didn’t have the time to watch because of work. You instantly texted Sakusa if that was okay with him.
Okay
You’ve never been so glad to read a four-lettered text after receiving a constant n-o, no to all your suggestions. Finally. FINALLY, you came up with something you two could do.
Halloween weekend came and you both decided on Sakusa’s apartment to do the movie marathon. You keep shifting in your seat from excitement. Tonight, you get the opportunity to watch some of your hoarded horror pieces, and much better, you’re watching it with Sakusa.
“Is there anything you’d like to watch in particular?” you ask him with your eyes still glued on the screen, browsing your bought movies. He moves closer to you and slouches so he can better see his options.
If Sakusa will be honest, he’s not really a fan of horror. He doesn’t see the point of scaring oneself from something that is make-believe. So he’s not that enthusiastic about it.
But you were.
If watching freakish movies makes you happy, then okay.  Out of all your ideas this year, this is the only one he can tolerate. He knows how dedicated you are in celebrating this event. Last year was already a solid proof of that.
“Don’t you get scared by watching that stuff?” He’s looking at you but your focus is on the screen as you scroll down. “I do. But that’s the point!” You squeal from excitement. He still can’t wrap his head around the whole concept, but he’s willing to indulge you.
“Do you get scared by these?” you peel your eyes away from the TV and shift your attention to him.
He shrugs indifferently. “Not really,”  was his answer even though he still hasn’t watched a full length horror film. He just couldn’t imagine how a fictional work could potentially frighten him.
“Okay. Let’s go with something light since the night is still young,” you said, then clicked on some movie that he didn’t catch the title of. You huddled closer to him. You tuck your knees in and hug your legs as the movie starts.
You’re so elated that you don’t notice the tug in the corner of his mouth as he studies your face. He asked you out on a whim because that day, he didn’t really have the time to think twice. He wasn’t sure if he’d see you again. If he’d been honest, he thought you were all over the place when he first saw you. He didn’t usually find that appealing, but he couldn’t deny that you looked so cute as Germinator-chan, especially with your eyes twinkling in glee as you offered him that sanitizer.
Even though asking you out wasn’t a well-thought of idea, he made the right decision. He didn’t need to match up to your outgoing personality. You never made him feel that he wasn’t enough or that he needed to be more than himself. He never felt pressured to make you happy because you already are with whatever he gives. You’re you and he’s him, yet your relationship is more than satisfactory for both of you.
You might have noticed him gaping at you since you suddenly turned to him and raised your  eyebrow. “What’re you staring for?” Your lips formed the cute smile he’s always adored.
“Nothing,” he replied more quickly than he should. He takes in your smile for one good second before shifting his gaze to the screen. The movie starts with people going to the woods for their idea of fun.
‘Ew’ he thought to himself.
As the film progresses, it gets even worse. There are body parts getting dismembered. It’s so bad when someone’s arm was severed, blood splattered all over the place. He unconsciously grips your thigh to ground himself. You don’t notice this since you shrieked happily at the scene. You were even clapping your hands.
“Yeeess! Cut those arms, dude.”
He couldn’t believe you found this fun. He couldn’t bear to look at the mutilated body parts, even if it was just on screen. He just looked away until he thought it was safe for his eyes again. That’s what he’ll do every time there’s a bloody clip.
After a while, you finally sense that his hand was clutching your thigh because of the gradual increase of force he unknowingly put behind it.
“Kiyoomi?” You look at your boyfriend whose face is now drained of color. “Oh no. What’s wrong?!” Your full attention is now on him despite the film still rolling.
Your face is a pile of concern. A while ago, he was painfully uncomfortable in your choice of movie, but seeing your once cheery facade get all worried cause he couldn’t take the blood made him feel bad. You already adjusted your Halloween plans for him. He can at least try harder to get through this movie.
He gently shakes his head. “I’m okay. Don’t mind me. Let’s keep watching.”
“Are you sure? I don’t want to do it if you’re not okay with it.” It was very like you to look out for him and adjust to him, even at your own expense. You’re easygoing, loud, fun, and everything he’s not - that included messy and clumsy. Despite that, you accepted his needs and boundaries without any qualms.
He removes his grip from your thigh and wraps his arm around you.
“I’m really fine, sweetheart.”
Your face lights up at his endearment, completely melting away the worry you had a while ago.
Now, he just needs to pin it on his mind that the thing isn’t real and he can survive the night.
However, it proved to be more difficult than he imagined when the scenes keep getting messier, bloodier, and dirtier. He keeps on focusing on your entertained face to distract himself from the screams and the sound of blood splashing and gushing.
From the short moments that he was able to glance at the screen, he can tell that the movie is reaching its climax already. He decided that he’s going to keep his eyes on the screen starting from now, just to fulfill your wish of him actually watching with you.
A few minutes into it and he was starting to feel sick. He gets nauseous when someone's head is crushed by a rock. Unable to continue, he pulls you closer and leans his forehead on your shoulder with his eyes closed.
You immediately notice him wavering and quickly turn off the television. You cup his cheeks and brush away the curls blocking his face. He opens his eyes and looks at you weakly.
“Sorry, we were almost done… but the blood was too much,” he confessed defeatedly.
“No, no, no. I should’ve realized that it would make you uneasy.” You felt guilty for not figuring it out sooner. You’ve been with him for a year now. You should’ve put two and two together.
“Let’s do something else. What do you wanna do?”
“We can watch another scary film. Just less blood.” He suggested a compromise. He won’t let you do all the adjusting this time. He’s getting fed up with himself being coddled by you all the time.
“Swear to me that you’ll let me know if it gets too much.” Your tone was serious.
“I swear Germinator-chan,” he says monotonously but you catch the humor behind it. This is Sakusa afterall. Because you’re used to his non-expressive self, you’ve gotten used to the intricate details of how he conveys his emotion.
You couldn’t help but smile while rolling your eyes back to the screen. You choose a more recent movie that’s a sequel to a very famous horror franchise you’ve been following. It was perfect because it was just plain creepy and scary without the gore.
You make yourselves comfortable again. Around twenty minutes into the film, there's no one who’s body parts are missing from their bodies. You’ve been keeping an eye on him. Thankfully, it seems like he’s calmed down now that he’s leaning on the couch with the color back on his face. He looks focused on the movie that was playing. With that, you are able to relax and do the same.
The calm was short-lived though. This movie is quite distinct from the last one. The previous film was chaotic and fun (for you). Now, the room is drowning in ominous music as you wait for the next jumpscare to happen. But it doesn’t. It leaves you at the edge of your seat when you tortuously wait for it to come. The eerie background music stops without any sign of the demonic ghost showing up. You finally let out the breath you were holding in your chest.
That is until you see something in the corner of the screen. It was hazy and it looks like it’s just part of the background. You fixate your eyes on the imagery while you feel a familiar dread rising in your throat. You want to make sure that it was nothing. You squeeze Sakusa’s knee while leaning a bit towards the screen to get a better look.
When you find that you’re close enough, the screen completely turns black, but only for a millisecond. It pops back up to reveal the same background you were looking at earlier. Only now, the thing you were closely looking at was not there anymore. You don’t know what to expect as there’s only silence.
In a blink of an eye, the object of your focus was revealed. A woman’s face occupied the whole screen. She had blood-shot eyes wide as saucers accompanied by an inhuman grin that spread too wide, making her face look unholy.
“SHIIIIITTTTTTTT!!!”
Your reflexes kick in. You use the hand you have on Sakusa’s knee to propel yourself and launch yourself to him. Both your hands find their way on his chest, clutching tight the fabric over it. You bury half your face on his chest and close your eyes.
“Is she gone?” Before he even answers, you open one eye cautiously and peek at the screen to see if it was safe to look again. You see that the scene is cut to a crowd with mundane music. You exhale heavily. You loosen your grip on his shirt and look up to him with a sheepish smile.
“I thought you’re used to this.” He remarks inquisitively while looking confused as to why you were so frightened when you were the one who suggested the horror marathon.
“Do you watch this stuff when you’re alone?” He asked further.
“Of course not. I live alone. I might not get any sleep if I watch some by myself.” You giggle. “And it’s more fun to watch with others.” You let go of your grip on him and go back to how you were previously sitting.
The movie went on with several more screams from you. You begin to feel Sakusa tensing up. You notice how intense he’s leaning on the couch. It’s like he doesn’t want any space behind him from the way he pushed his back to the cushioned backrest and seized the armrest with his right limb. His other hand was holding yours rigidly. Like him, you also start to be agitated as the appearances of haunted apparitions become clearer and more frequent.
It came to point that you were kneeling on the couch and had your arms around him. You have no control on how tight you were holding on to him. You’re pretty sure you were squishing his cheeks sometimes, but you don’t hear anything from him. He seems to be immersed in the story as well because you can feel him flinch and jerk at jumpscares. At the turning point of the movie, it was basically a screamfest held by you.
Seems like you blew his ear off since he tugged you to sit back down. Still, he doesn’t say anything and encloses an arm around you instead. You respond accordingly and use his embrace as your cover.
When the movie ends, you breathe a sigh of relief, which is followed by a laugh and an applause.
“That was so good!” Your eyes are beaming brightly from satisfaction. “Right?” You turn to him to see his reaction.
He has a faint smile on his face, then nods twice. “I didn’t expect you’d be that jumpy,” he said.  You scratch your head while laughing embarrassedly. When you settled down, you just found yourselves staring at each other. The thick restlessness from the scary film was gone, replaced by something intimately familiar to both of you.
He makes the first move. He gently cups your cheek and lets it linger momentarily while his eyes shimmer with tenderness as they remain on yours. Some people, namely your coworkers, found it weird that someone like you is dating Sakusa. According to them, you’re a firecracker while he was a defective explosive that only lights up when playing volleyball.
But they’re wrong.
They just don’t know that this Sakusa in front of you exists. He has his own ways of letting you know how much he cares. They were quiet gestures that spoke loudly and exclusively for you. And yes, you are a chaotic bundle of energy, so there were many days that even you, yourself overwhelm yourself. But he gives you peace that nothing or no one else has provided you.
So when he leans closer to capture your lips, you immediately melt to him.
What started out as an affectionate kiss begins to heat up when he grabs your waist and pulls you closer. Then, he grazes his tongue on your lower lip before biting it gently. To hell with your coworkers. He’s nowhere near a defective explosive when he makes you burn up like this.
You want to feel him more, so you take the lead and straddle him. You grind your hips against his crotch and cover his mouth with yours. You’re getting eager to touch his bare skin so you pull up his shirt which reveals his toned chest and abs that made you drool. Best perk of dating a pro athlete. You look down a bit to relish the sight of him topless.
“Um. Can you tie your hair?”
“I washed my hair right before we watched. It’s clean.” You don’t look back at him and continue trailing your palm down on his abs.
“It’s not that.”
“Then what is it?” You still keep your eyes on his torso while biting your lips.
“You’re like the demon lady with your hair down like that when you look down.”
You snap your head back up and find him clearly avoiding looking at you. You try to imagine what he’s thinking - the demon lady on his lap and is about to do the nasty with him. You throw your head back and roar from laughter.
“You have quite the imagination, you know that?” you tell him with your eyes still twinkling from amusement.
“You looked like her for a minute,” he insisted. You click your tongue while shaking your head. “Too bad, Omi. I don’t have my hairtie with me.” You get off from his lap and sit beside him. “Let’s watch a documentary instead?” He only replies with a nod.
“Sorry.I tried, but I can’t unsee it.”
“It’s fine.” You giggle and kiss him on the cheek. “I don’t want you having nightmares of me as the demon lady.”
You grab the remote and put on a ghost-sighting documentary while he puts on his shirt back. It fell flat compared to the other two that previously went on, but you did not change it. You gave it a chance. Maybe there’s something interesting about it.
….
Sakusa woke up with the TV already displaying its screen saver. Before he passed out, he recalls you were starting to get drowsy with your eyes hazy while leaning on his shoulder. He doesn’t remember when, but he must’ve fallen asleep.
Not realizing that there was no weight resting on him, he looked beside him.
You weren’t there.
That was odd. If you moved to the bedroom, you would have woken him up. He blinks a few times to clear his vision before scanning the corners of this room from his seat. His only source of light was the one emanating from the screen, but that should be enough to get even just an outline of your figure.
But there was no sign of you, just the darkness engulfing the inanimate objects in the room.
“Y/n?” He called out, but there was no response.
He grabs the remote and turns off the TV. On the slight chance that you are already in his bed, he walks to his bedroom.
The cool metal of the doorknob wakes his senses. He’s suddenly more wary of everything around him. Because he wanted to reduce the accumulation of dust in his place, he did not place any unnecessary object that can cause dirt. That made his place look spacious and wide. It was only now that he became aware of the vast empty spaces on his back.
Yet despite the seeming emptiness, it feels like something is occupying the place, lurking in the vacant arrays of his home.
A sudden breeze grazes his nape.
‘It’s nothing. It’s usually cold this time of the year.’ He told himself even though he could feel the chill creeping up on his spine.
He hurriedly turns the doorknob and opens the door, only to reveal an empty bed and an empty room. You aren’t there. He’s about to shut the door when the curtains suddenly fly softly at its hems. Yeah. It’s definitely windier than usual.
He closes the door and moves towards the bathroom. The lights are off in it, but you sometimes don’t turn it on when you get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. You don’t like sudden bright lights. Although when you do that, you usually leave the door open.
The bathroom door is shut. His hand was ready to knock when he saw a shadow from his peripheral. He wanted to ignore it, but his trained eye caught the figure. He harshly spun to see what it was.
Nothing.
It was nothing. The deafening silence augmented the dread that was starting to consume his being. He can feel the tips of his fingers get colder, his skin prickling from goosebumps, his throat getting dryer.
“You’re just imagining things,” he uttered to himself to quell his nervousness. He enjoyed the movie earlier, but he didn’t think it would get in his head.
He turns back around to the door and knocks three times. No answer. He knocks again, louder this time. Where the hell are you? It wasn’t like you to leave without saying anything.
He heads for the kitchen to get some water, hoping that it can erase the uneasiness on his mind and body. Then he’ll call your phone as a last resort.
When he makes his turn at the corner of the living room leading to the kitchen, his breath gets suspended in the air at the sight.
A woman who’s looking down stood in front of him. He’s never seen something so sinister. Her black pupils occupy the whole of her eyes. Her hair is down and framed her face in a perfect V shape.
“FUUUUUCCCCKKKKKKK!” His thick scream broke the stillness of his apartment while stumbling a few steps back. It was followed by the woman’s screechy wail as she looked up to him.
“AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!”
Her hair falls a few inches away from her cheeks, giving him a clearer view of her face. It was not a haunted apparition.
It was you!
Now that he looks closely, your eyes were actually normal. It’s just that it was so dark and your eyelids were half closed so it seemed like your eyes were a complete block of black.
When the two of you stopped exchanging screams, it was you who recovered first. He was still frozen in place with terrified eyes. “Oh Kiyoomi.” You put your arms around him and dipped your head on the crook of his neck. Your relieved heaving quickly bubbled into tittering as you realized how stupid you two must’ve seemed.
You put a gentle hand on his face and looked at him. He’s still a bit shaken, but he meets your gaze. “I called for you. Why didn’t you answer?”
“I got a voice call from one of my editors so I was listening intently.”
“Why here?”
“I was getting water when I opened the message.”
“Were you in the living room just now?”
You frown at him. “No…. well actually, maybe? I was spaced out while walking when I realized I didn’t really get the water I came for. So I immediately went back to the kitchen.”
The breath he exhales is deep, but you feel his shoulders loosen up from it. “You didn’t even see that TV was already off and I wasn’t there anymore?” His tone was a bit irritated.
“I was preoccupied with what my editor said.” You pout.
His demeanor softens up. He takes your hand off from his cheek and holds it tenderly.  “Let’s just get to bed already.”
When you two lie down, you’re surprised that he’s spooning you. He never does. He doesn’t like your hair touching his face, even though you tell him that you’ve thoroughly cleaned it. Usually, you are the big spoon, which was weird because he’s way too huge for you, or you position yourself a bit lower so that your cheeks are on his chest and you aren’t obstructing his face.
“Next year, let’s go to that Halloween party instead. I’ll dress up in a PPE so no one touches me.“ He says in your ear while his arm snakes around your waist.
“Hmm. I dunno. I quite like this to be honest.” You hold the arm he has around you and snuggled closer. Yep. You’d rather have this.

Same Cloth — Satori Tendou x Reader
Summary: The friendship everyone saw coming. And the unlikely romance that came after. You were the two weirdos from your respective years. The freshman weirdo, and the second year weirdo. It only made sense. The romance, however, definitely took everyone by surprise, even though it was obvious to you, given that you two were two birds of a feather.
"You and I are cut from the same cloth" Satori Tendou had said almost immediately after properly meeting you.

A/N: So, I was finally able to write this. It def took me a long while. This was inspired by a fic written by @laceymorganwrites. Also, I intended to keep this shorter, but after word-vomiting the conversations and events written with minimum detailed turned out to be almost 2K words, I knew it’d end up being 5K after adding details and everything...

The school's journal didn't particularly excite you. Journaling wasn't your thing. Writing wasn't your thing. Interacting with people wasn't your thing either. But you needed to join a club. And you did have a talent with cameras. So, you joined the journalism club as the photographer in your first year at Shiratorizawa.
"So, [Name]-chan" Your boss called you once she saw you walk inside the classroom you usually used after class. "I know it's your first year, and that it's hardly been a few months, but, we finally have some big story to cover"
A girl from third year, named Makoto, was the director of the journal and pretty much everyone's boss. She was usually in charge of what stories you covered and she reviewed the final drafts. Everything related to the final draft was her territory, she gave the final green light to everything before publishing the paper.
"I'm not in the writing team…" You reminded her, feeling already uncomfortable by her loud friendly aura.
"Oh, I know that" She giggled. "Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I was going to ask you if I could get some pictures." Makoto by this point knew you weren’t particularly good with figurative speech.
"Alright. About what?"
"The Volleyball tournament will begin soon, the local one at least. Then we'll have the spring tournament. Anyways, I'm pretty sure you know by now how big of a deal Volleyball is to this school" She began explaining as you felt the attack from her eye contact, as you avoided actually locking stares with her, as if you were a prey being watched by the predator.
"I've noticed, but I don't know why" You hissed.
"The team is great” She said “You should go and see one of their games"
"I don't like sports" Flatly, your voice made Makoto pout, sightly dissapointed by your lack of excitement.
"Anyways, [Name]. Could you get some pictures of the team, please?"
Her wide eyes looking at you, begging. And it wasn’t much you could say. She was your boss. You sighed deeply, thinking about how you’d had to pull through, maybe feel unpleasant and uncomfortable watching them play. But the sooner you had the job done, the better, right?
"Yup" You sighed, as Makoto’s smile took over and she thanked you dearly, knowing you weren’t particularly excited by this.
The next day you’’d begged your best friend over and over again to come with you to the Volleyball Court. Normally, you could pull off any photography job by yourself, but this was a whole different story. The awkwardness biting your neck and tensing your back like a cold shiver freezing your spine.
"Can you believe I've never been here?" You muttered standing outside the court.
"Well, you're not one to play sports, so, understandable!" Your best friend said trying to stay cheerful so you’d relax, however, all attempts to make you feel at ease were useless.
Your best friend agreed to go with you to the volleyball court during training hours to take the pictures. A little bit of moral support was all you needed. Even when your best friend thought she wasn’t doing anything for your nerves, her presence alone gave you the strength to step inside the hell with a never ending rain of volleyballs.
Your boss was supposed to meet up with you outside. She was a third year student and knew the team pretty well. Shiratorizawa’s volleyball team was a constant guess, and the leader of the Newspaper of course had to know each and everyone of the team members.
With your feet glued to the ground, and your breath suddenly missing, you could hardly move. Makoto, quite passive-aggressively pushed you inside, as you reluctantly put one feet in front of the other while biting your tongue. Stiff like a corpse, made you wish you had entered the chess club instead.
"You really don't like sports, do ya?" Makoto sighed with a gentle chuckle, trying to soothe your nerves as well.
"She's got very bad luck with sports. She always gets hit in the face" your best friend said holding your hand as you immediately squeezed back her hand. Your friend trying to keep a straight face, pretending like you were not about to break her fingers.
"It's gonna be alright, [Name]-chan" your friend said giving you a threatening look that made you realize you were squeezing the life out of her hand, and you had managed to loosen your grip a little bit.
"Why are we here again, Makoto-senpai?" You murmured, feeling your entire body sweat cold.
"We need pictures!" Makoto said proudly as she stepped inside the gym.
Menacingly, volleyballs flew everywhere. You were convinced that they’d break their trajectory to fly in your direction and hit you instead. Your head got light, and your eyes hurt from the white lights. Feeling terribly exposed and blinded, you were definitely an easy target now.
"Guys! Could you please give me your attention for a few minutes!" Makoto yelled, waving one of her arms, catching everyone's attention.
"Is she allowed to interrupt them just like that?" You asked your best friend as she shrugged as confused as you were.
Several, very tall and intimidating guys suddenly surrounded you like flies in a dumpster. You felt your anxiety closing in round you as these boys circled, leaving you and Makto in the middle, ready to hear whatever the Head of the School’ Paper had to say.
"Ah, Makoto-senpai!" A tall redhead guy said in a dreamy tone. "Want an interview with the school's titans, is that it?"
"Not, quite. We're covering the tournament in the school paper, and we wanted some pictures. So, I brought my photographer" Makoto said, turning around and looking at you.
All the set of eyes were now on you. Very much to your pet peeve of being constantly stared at. Boy, this was horrible. All the guys, standing as tall as buildings, with drilling eyes, the bright lights, the anxiety. It was all awful, and you wished you could just blink and be in your room, as if ll of this was just a nightmare.
But it didn’t matter how many times you blinked, you were still there. Time seemed to slow down significantly. Still stiff, you waved your hand painfully awkwardly as Makoto grabbed your arm and pulled you with her.
"Everyone, meet, [Full Name]. Please be nice, she's like a cat. Also, please be gentle with how you train, she's got bad luck and always gets hit in the face whenever wherever she tries to play sports” Makoto said, quoting what your best friend had told her before walking inside.
"Do you not trust us?" A blond guy with a fierce stare said. "We're amazing players,  we won't let her get hit by a volleyball"
"Oi, oi, Semi. Relax" said the redhead with spiky hair. "Don't worry, Makoto-senpai, your photographer will be in good hands~"
"Thank you, Satori-kun. I know she'll be safe,  just don't scare her '' Makoto laughed awkwardly as she gave you one last stare, almost if she was asking ‘are you gonna be alright?’ to which you simply gave her a poker face, not even sure if you were going to be alright.
"Makoto-senpai said you're scary, Tendo" another tall guy with darker skin and dark hair said patting the thin redhead in the shoulder.
"Oh, my, my. I'm sorry" Tendo said grinning as you noticed he didn’t deny what his teammate had said.
"I didn't say anything!" Makoto giggled shyly.
"The second years are very chatty, aren't you guys?" A rather intimidating guy said. "I'm sorry, I'm the captain of the team. Feel free to stay and take as many pictures as you'd like" The guy said bowing politely as you felt even more awkward by such a polite gesture in such a hostile place.
"Tha-thanks…" you said
“She speaks!” Satori said.
Everyone could sense the tension surrounding you. Almost as if you were a tiny bomb yourself. However, the entire team felt slightly curious by what could have you so tense. Finally, the captain took away the focus from you by talking loudly.
"Ushijima!  Let’s take it from where we left!” The captain said cheerfully as another rather intimidating second year walked back to the court.
“Will you be okay if I leave you here? I still gotta check some stuff back in the classroom” Makoto said in a gentle voice.
You opened our mouth ready to answer when another, more cheerful voice, took over.
“Don’t worry, Makoto-chan! We’ll take good care of your photographer” Said Satori ruffling your hair in a friendly manner as you tensed up, thinking why on earth a stranger would do such a thing to you.
“Thank you!. Take lots of pictures, [Name]!” Makoto said walking out of the gym, waving at you.
Your best friend exchanged stares with you, as you realized you’d been keeping your breath for the last several seconds. You sighed loudly, trying to focus on your camera, hanging from your shoulder.
“Don't worry,, we’re good at what we do,” Satori said, walking in front of you “We won't let any volleyballs fly your way. And if they do, I’ll stop them” He said grinning in a rather creepy way as you simply stared at him “You’re not very talkative, are you, kitty?”
“Makoto did mention that. She is like a cat. She’ll take a while to open up” Your best friend giggled trying to lighten up the tension.
“Well, if you girls need something, feel free to ask” He said politely, walking back inside the court “So, make  sure you make us look cool as hell in those pictures, kitty”
Leaving aside your crippling fear of being hit, you found yourself in a complete state of lack of inspiration. Despite the explosive dynamic the team had, there was something that just wasn't there. It was hard to explain, even to yourself.
Yes, the team was there. They were training. You could tell they were really trying by the shiny layer of sweat all of the guys had. The determination in their eyes. But something was off. Something that somehow was blocking your creative eye. The need to pull your camera to your eye did not exist. An urgency to capture a moment wasn't there.
“So, how are the photos going?” Makoto made an appearance out of nowhere, gently patting your shoulder.
Without looking away from the most intimidating guy of all, a guy by the name of Wakatoshi Ushijima, you answered.
“Terrible" Your gaze moved back to your camera, looking at probably the most decent picture you'd taken so far. "I can’t work like this”
The picture was Wakatoshi's; caught in the middle of his jump, his left hand raised tall and strong ready to hit the ball.
“What the hell does that mean?” The blond, Semi, growled.
“I’m not feeling this, you know?” You answered in a low voice.
“I’m not following you” Makoto peeked over your shoulder, looking at the picture.
“I’m not excited. How am I supposed to take exciting pictures if I’m not excited myself?”
“Are you saying our training is boring?” The blond growled once more.
“Oi, oi, Semi-kun!" Satori said, holding his friend by the shoulder. "I think what Kitty is trying to say is that there’s not enough competitive atmosphere to properly take pictures, isn’t that it?”
There was something terribly familiar about you, thought Tendou. Maybe the fact that your analyzing stare somehow reminded him of Ushijima. Your monotonous tone, and the way you seemed to struggle to put your thoughts into comprehensible words. He was able to.understand what you were trying to say thanks to his friendship with Ushijima.
You simply shrugged, not quite agreeing with him, nor denying it. Truth was, you were not sure what was wrong, but Satori's words seemed like a pretty good guess.
“She needs to feel excited, and as long as we train with each other, she won’t feel it" Satori continued "She needs to go to one of our matches against other schools. Not friendly matches, an actual one with us wearing our white and pink shirts and the school screaming at the top of their lungs"
“That’s actually a pretty good idea" Said the captain "Are you free next Wednesday after class?”
“I don’t know. Am I?” You looked at Makoto who raised an eyebrow at you.
“I-I’m not your mother” Makoto saod awkwardly.
“You are my boss, if I’m not going to make it to the club I have to let you know so...”
“oh, that's what you mean" Your boss sighed "We still have a week and a half for the deadline, so yeah, you can go”
You looked back at the Volleyball team as all of them nodded instinctively.
“Ah, just you wait, Kitty cat, you’re going to be on the edge of your seat watching us play” Satori Tendou said patting you in the head gently.
You could feel your best friend staring at you, somewhat of excitement in her eyes. You nodded at the redhead, seriously doubting what he was saying. Still somewhat stiff by the whole hour of nerve wracking stress, you spun in your toes and left right away.
Satori watched you leave, a small proud smile on his face. Something about you intrigued him, and your shy nature sure as hell amused him. You were, in fact, like a kitten. Scared of loud noises and over all shy, but still observing and analyzing like cats usually are.
"Someone liked the new photographer” Semi teased staring at Satori, as the latter sighed dreamily.
“Yes, I did,” He said proudly. “And how could I not? Are you gonna tell me she isn’t cute?” Satori looked back at Semi who didn’t answer, and instead looked away, defeated. “Yeah, I thought so”
Your best friend followed close behind, and once you made it out the gym, she leaned closer to your ear.
“I think Satori-senpai liked you” Breaking you apart from your train of thought, you looked at her, trying to keep the blush from telling on you.
“I didn’t notice…” You lied “He’s weird” You tried to somehow defend yourself, and make it look like you weren’t at all interested in the tall redhead. Your best friend giggled in response. “What?”
“It's funny that you say that, you’re not precisely the definition of normal” Your friend laughed.
On Wednesday after class, you met the volleyball team at the entrance of the school. The school bus was waiting for everyone to gather before leaving.the team greeted you with polite smiles.
The only ones who greeted you properly were Satori Tendo and Ushijima Wakatoshi. The pair greeted you as if you weren't seeing each other for the second time ever. The redhead asked you about your day and your classes as his friend limited himself to wave at you silently and ask how were you today.
“So, Kitty, excited to watch us play?” Satori said as the team started getting inside the bus.
“I guess” You said as Tendo allowed you to get inside first and followed you, taking the seat next to yours.
“Oh, come on. Loosen up!" He gave you a friendly pat in the shoulder "I can see you’re tense. There’s nothing to worry about. I won’t let any volleyballs hit you while you’re wandering around taking pictures. Issa promise” He said sticking his pinky finger at you as you looked at his hand and then at him. “C’mon, give me your pinky!” You met his stare, exchanging stares for the first time with his penetrating glare. You did as he asked and he locked his pinky with yours.“The pact has been sealed” He answered dramatically.
Ushijima took the seat in front of yours and as Satori leaned forward, saying something to his friend, you sighed deeply looking out the window, holding your camera close to your chest.
“You know, Kitty..." Satori continued leaning back into his seat "you and I are cut from the same cloth”
You didn't hear him at first. His voice took a while to be processed in your brain.
“Yeah?” You asked still looking out the window
“You and I are not like the rest. We’re both quite similar” At this, you turned around,  scanning the guy, not sure you understood what he meant.
“Yeah...I don’t think so”
“Of course not" He answered "I’m extroverted, you’re not. But that doesn’t mean we’re different. You seem distracted most of the time, but I know you’re constantly observing each and every one of our moves" You looked back into the window, feeling uncomfortable by his piercing eyes on you "I bet you already know how volleyball works from just seeing us train, don’t you?"
He was good if he noticed you analyzing their training while still training hard himself. Trying to put your thoughts in orders,  you took a while to talk back.
“I know you  guys touch the ball maximum three times before sending it to the other side. The second player to touch the ball usually sends it to the hitter, I think they are called setters?”
Satori smiled pleased with what he had heard, especially because his guess about you was right.
“What a clever kitty we have here”  He answered.
“Your reaction time is outstanding" You continued.  "I don't know if your thought train is that fast, or you run just in intuition l, maybe it's both. I really am impressed by how quick you react" You said looking at him briefly before looking away once more.
“Thank you" Satori smiled “Also, you’re not so bad yourself. Little Kitty Cat turned out to have Sherlock-like observation skills, nice” He could tell you were avoiding meeting his stare, but he didn't mind. He scanned your face, now relaxed compared to.when you met outside the school a few minutes earlier ”Ah, I can smell a nice friendship about to bloom, here”  He sighed before hoping off his seat and sitting next to Wakatoshi.
Once at the game, it was euphoric the amount of intense competitive atmosphere going on during the match. The school singing and cheering. Loud enough to make you get a headache barely 10 minutes after the match began. However, you came prepared with your earbuds.
Putting them in, you started playing music to help you with your nerves brought by the overstimulation. The yelling, the bright lights, and the constant fear of being hit with a volleyball while moving around the cort while taking photos.
Normally, people weren’t allowed to be wandering around, but being Shiratorizawa, and thanks to the coach’s big influence, you were allowed to move around taking photos, as long as you didn't distract any of the teams. Something you managed to do perfectly, being unnoticed by everyone throughout the match.
Once in the bus ride back to the school, you sat at the back, and scrolled through the camera roll to see all the pictures you’ve taken, and plan which one you’d use and how you were going to edit them.
Satori constantly looked back at you from his seat, feeling curious by your big focus swallowed entirely by your camera. After Ushijima had encouraged him to go with you, Satori chuckled sarcastically before doing as his friend did and walked towards you.
“Kitty-chan, nya!” Satori Tendou said sitting next to you, breaking you apart from your trance “Mind if I sit here for a while?” You shook your head silently looking back at your camera. “What did you think of the game?”
“It was exactly what I needed for the pictures” You said in a low voice.
“Mind if I peek?” His question took you by surprise. The idea of someone freely looking through your camera roll made you nervous. However, something was urging you to trust him. You sighed, hesitant at first. You handed him your camera as he proceeded to look at the pictures.
You’d taken a lot of them, from all of the players, even the coach sitting on the bench with his ever present analyzing stare. Satori indulged himself, counting how many pictures you’d taken of each player just for his own amusement.. However, he felt flattered when he noticed he was the second player with the most photos after Usijima. Being the second with the most photos taken of him after the team’s ace player was just a weird compliment. And probably something you didn’t do on purpose. Or, did you? He thought.
Seeing his fare share of cool pictures flattered him.
“You guys are amazing” You broke the silence, surprising Tendou as he looked up from the camera.
You were usually so quiet and limited yourself to answer whatever questions were addressed towards you. And now, you were actually starting a conversation. On top of that, Tendou felt his cheeks blush gently upon seeing a small shy smile on your face. It was the first time he’d seen you smile, and boy, he felt strangely flattered for a second time.
“You’re welcome to see us play every game, Kitty. In fact, you could be our personal paparazzo” Satori joked, returning the flirty smile.
A few weeks had passed. The Volleyball team were really excited for their pictures. After editing them and sending each of them their respective photos, all of them lost their heads and immediately flooded their social media with them.
This gesture alone made you somehow popular among the school. Everyone in the team greeted you, talked to you and personally invited you to their games. It was weird how a single event, which was a responsibility, triggered the friendship.
Especially with Satori who constantly looked for you in between classes or during lunch break to drag you along to hang out with him and Wakatoshi.
This time, however, it wasn't Satori who poked his head inside your classroom.  As you talked with your best friend, she saw Ushijima's face looking for you. She immediately changed the topic, letting you know Ushijima was looking for you.
Turning around, and making eye contact with him, he signaled with his hand, calling you. You nodded and excused yourself from your small group of friends and walked towards the door.
“[Name], may I have a word?”  Ushijima said even before you could ask anything.
"Ye-yeah, sure” You nodded, nervous because, well, Ushijima wasn't a very talkative guy.
You followed him down the hall a few meters away from your classroom, towards a more.open space with less people around.
“Look," He said, stopping by the staircase and looking at you "You’re probably aware of this by now, but Satori likes you, and that's the first time I see him like that since I met him. Be nice with him. If you’re not interested in him, let him now before his feelings for you get out of his hand” His voice wasn't particularly threatening, but he sounded more serious than he usually was.
Something inside you made you feel butterflies in your stomach, maybe the fact that Ushijima pointed out what you already knew. Satori liked you. You knew this, but hearing it out loud felt...nice.
“Ushijima senpai, I really appreciate that you care so much for Tendo-kun" You began, the anxiety building up.in your stomach as you gathered the strength to put your thoughts into words "But you don't have to worry, I wont hurt him. In fact, I really like him too… And, it may sound dumb…" You chuckled awkwardly "But it’s the first time I like someone who likes me back, so, I’m not sure how to proceed from here on...I'm improvising along the way, and so far it has worked…" Ushijima chuckled this time, thinking how Satori had actually said something quite similar. "Tendo-kun always says we’re cut from the same cloth, so, I wanna believe I know how to handle him to not hurt him"
A gentle smile was drawn on Ushijima's facem something you didn't see as often. But it was somehow comforting.
“I’m glad to hear” He said turning around towards the stairs, ready to go back to his classroom. "Thanks, [Name]-san"
“Ushijima-senpai?” You said before he walked away.
“Yes, [Name]?”
“Please don’t tell Tendo that I told you that I like him back” You asked nervously looking at your fingers.
“I’m sorry, [Name], but I can’t promise that. I won't tell him. But if he asks me, I won't deny it. Besides, I'm pretty sure he knows by now" Ushijima said looking up the stairs and noticing his friend walking along the hall, looking for him.
Ushijima gave you one last smile before joining Satori in the next floor as his friend asked him where had he'd gone.
The next two months you lived with a crippling anxiety that popped up whenever you saw Watakoshi and Satori together. However, Satori never showed a sudden change of attitude towards you. But that didn't mean Wakatoshi hadn't told him.
One thing had changed, with each day, Satori opened up more and more. He looked for excuses to spend time with you. You even went on coffee dates with him and both of you worked on your respective homework.
Very subtle, little by little, you fell harder and harder for him. And so he did. To the point where people weren't sure if you were dating or not. Including you among these people.
Where your relationship or friendship stood, wasn't clear. At least not until that date. The very first non-coffee-and-homework date you had.
He'd taken you to the aquarium. At first you thought it was a rather random place for a date. At least until you noticed how quiet he was. The usual talkative Satori Tendou now walked slowly, silently. Very much like a cat, fascinated by the fish
You realized that was why he'd chosen the aquarium. And you knew this from his behavior alone. He didn't speak much, and he paced slowly, stopped at every tank and attentively watched at the fish. And it felt weirdly intimate. You were seeing a side of Tendou you didn't see at school. And you weren't sure if other people knew of. Probably Ushijima.
His talkative loud demeanor was gone, replaced by a quiet wandering shadow. And you took advantage of this to take a lot of incredible pictures of him. The blue lighting and the dim lights worked magic combined with your skills in photography. You captured the beauty of absolute calmness shining from his eyes. The eyes that usually shone with a chaotic fire now looked calm. The calm before the storm reflected in his eyes in blue and greens.
"How come you haven't grown tired of taking pictures of me?" He said as his eyes followed the marlin fish swimming in front of him.
"Because your eyes shine in a way I've never seen before. Its nice..." You said, drawing a small, yet confident smile in Satori's face. "And I want to capture them as much as I can"
"[Name]-chan, can I ask you something?" He whispered walking closer to you.
You looked up at him, curious. And then you saw yet another perfect frame to take a picture. However, your curiosity was stronger and you refrained from stopping him to take the picture.
"Sure" You answered, noticing how he'd stopped within a single step away from you.
You looked up at him, he was tall. His slim complexion made him look even taller. His eyes, somewhat tender and gentler met yours. Your intuition screaming at you, suddenly making you blush and your heart race.
"Why do you like me so much?" He asked bluntly as one of his hands reached your face and softly brushed your hair with his fingers.
"Did Wakatoshi tell you?" You stuttered.
"Wakatoshi knows?"
"I-I asked him not to tell you"
"So that's why…" He whispered "Normally he tells me everything...you haven't answered my question, Kitty" He looked at you as you shyly shook your head
"I'm not sure" You began, as your heart raced at an amazing speed you didn't know was possible.
"I just know my heart races, and my gut twist in funny ways whenever I see you, or even think of you" You continued "There's something special about you and I can't pinpoint what. And I don't want to know either. You're the kind of mystery that should stay unsolved"
Satori smiled, quite satisfied with his answer.
"Such a weird kitty" he murmured leaning closer to you, pressing his forehead against yours, and closing his eyes.
"Yeah" You breathed as Satori took deep breaths, getting drunk on your sweet smell. A sweet smell he could never grow tired of. A smell he'd love to smell every day close to him.
Desperate, with the anxiety twisting your gits more and more with every second, you stood up.on your toes, closing the distance between your faces, and pressing a shy kiss on his lips.
At once, he cupped your face, holding you there, as he kissed you back. Lips clumsily locking, exploring each other for the first time. A sweet kiss, the both of you had been craving so desperately finally bringing closure to the questions about the two of you dating.
God, what a kiss. Stealing your breath, making your head feel light, thinking how you could easily become addicted to him.
Finally, Satori slowly broke the kiss. Pressing a delicate kiss on the tip of your nose, and another one on your forehead before pressing his cheek against it. As you tried to catch your breath, Satori returned to look at the fish swimming calmly in the tank.
"Can you hear them?" Satori whispered as you followed his stare.
"Who?"
"The fish" He answered as if it was obvious who he was talking about. You looked at him and smiled before looking back at the fish bank swimming in hypnotizing shapes.
"What are they saying?"  You said playing along.
"You don't talk fish?" Satori joked looking at you crack a soft laugh.
"I'm sorry, I don't talk fish" You answered with a small cheeky smile on your lips.
"You're beautiful" He whispered.
Looking back at him, you noticed he was scanning your face. A subtle smile drawn on his face as he continued to admire you. One if his long thin hands cupped your cheek. He felt his heart melt as you gave into his touch and snuggled your face in his hand. He leaned closer, pressing another kiss on your lips. You stopped breathing for a second before you gasped against his lips in surprise and wrapped your arms around his chest squeezing him m gently against you.

“You want the usual [y/n]?” Osamu called from behind the counter.
“Sure…” You were still preoccupied with the table of people staring at you expectantly. They were all wearing black sweats except for one guy with glasses who was in a suit. Taking a closer look, you recognized the logo to be the same as the one on the sweater you were currently returning to Atsumu. You’d been awkwardly standing staring at them while they stared at you for what felt like a solid minute.
“Oh [y/n]! Didja just get here?”, Atsumu stepped out of the bathroom, breaking the awkward silence.
Before you could say anything, the glasses guy spoke up. “I didn’t know you had a girlfriend Atsumu.”
WHAT? Where did this misunderstanding come from? Sure you had his sweater, but agh!!!
“I’m not his girlfriend”, you quickly shut it down.
“Riiiight.” This time a dude with spikey gray hair piped in. “So, how long have you and Tsum Tsum been together”
“I just told you we aren’t together”
“I get it. I get it.” Spikey hair guy winked.
You let out an exasperated sigh. “I don’t think you do”
“Wow so cute! Atsumu’s so lucky.” A guy with bright orange hair chimed in. “Your secret’s safe with us [y/n]”
What the heck? Did they all have selective hearing?
“There is no secret! Atsumu, tell them!”, You turned to Atsumu, raising your eyebrows.
“What can I say? I can’t help being this charmin’”, Atsumu held up his hands innocently.
“Oh shut up lemon head”, you sharply snapped.
The whole restaurant burst out laughing at that. Even the guy in a mask who'd been pretty quiet was chuckling. You quickly went around and did some introductions.
“If you aren’t dating, how do you know each other?”, the glasses guy, Akaashi, asked.
“A series of unfortunate encounters.” You cringed recalling the past few weeks.
“‘Tsumu crashed her blind dates”, Osamu called from the prep station where he was rolling onigiri.
“Why am I not surprised”, the guy with the mask, Sakusa spoke up.
“Yeah. Blondie over here has been wreaking havoc on my life.”
“I dunno what you’re talking about”, Atsumu said with a scoff.
“So, how do you know him?”, You turned the question around. You had a pretty good guess, but you didn’t want to let Atsumu know that you’d been stalking him online.
“Oh. We’re Tsum Tsum’s teammates, except Akaashi here who’s my friend from high school”, Bokuto answered.
“Yeah, we’re volleyball players for the MSBY Black Jackals”, Hinata said proudly.
“Wow! That’s pretty cool”, you tried to act surprised.
“You probably didn’t know, but I’m kinda a big deal. I’m even on tv.” Leave it to Atsumu to turn this into an opportunity to stoke his ego. You rolled your eyes.
“Lucky you ‘Tsumu, thanks to that all your lame moments are recorded on the internet.” You could count on Osamu to have a good clapback.
“Lame moments? Like what?”
Atsumu’s face went tense.
“You should’ve seen it,” Bokuto said excitedly. “A few weeks ago we were walking into a meet and greet and ‘Tsum ‘Tsum had the craziest fall. It was hilarious”
“Ah! Wait no-“, Atsumu tried to stop his teammates, but it was too late.
“Oh, the one where he tripped off the stage?”, Akaashi asked.
“And twirled in the air”, Hinata excitedly added.
“And ended up hanging there by his pants because the waistband got caught on the edge of the stage” Bokuto barely got the words out between his loud guffaws.
“It was awesome!” Hinata shouted.
“It was terrible.” Sakusa corrected him.
“There’s no way that happened!” You cackled.
“It totally did!” Hinata exclaimed.
“They got the whole thing on camera too. You should watch it [y/n]!” Bokuto added.
Atsumu’s eyes got wide. “No, she shouldn’t!” Atsumu desperately interjected.
“Here lemme pull it up,” Bokuto said. He frowned, “Aw man my cell service is really weak.”
Atsumu sighed in relief and lazily grinned “Well that’s a real shame-“
“I have it saved on my phone”, Osamu tossed his phone to Hinata, who caught it.
“‘Samu!”
You all gathered around and watched the video. It was every bit as glorious and embarrassing as it Atsumu’s teammates described it as. By the end, you were wheezing.
You turned to Atsumu, “Can’t help being charming huh?”
“Aghhh!” He slumped over the table and buried his face in his arms.
“Wow you’re actually kinda cute when you aren’t being an asshole”
“Aww she called you cute”
“I’m pretty sure that was a roast Hinata”
~
After spending some time chatting and eating, everyone packed up and got ready to leave.
“You’re pretty funny [y/n]. We should hang out more often”, Bokuto grinned at you.
“You guys are pretty funny too”
“Oh [y/n]! You should come to our game tonight! We each get some extra tickets!” Hinata’s eyes lit up as he made his suggestion.
“Oh, I don’t know about that”
“It’ll be super fun!”, Bokuto followed up.
“And its an exhibition match, so there’ll only be three sets. It won’t drag on too long.” Akaashi added.
“It sounds cool, but it’d be kinda weird to go by myself-“
“You could hang out with me at my onigiri booth if ya like,” Osamu said with a shrug.
Well if they wanted you to come that badly…
“Thanks Osamu. Okay sure! I’ll come.”
“Yay!” Bokuto and Hinata cheered. Akaashi smiled. Sakusa sighed.
As the volleyball boys filed out of the restaurant, Atsumu called out to you
“Hey can I have your number to send the ticket link to?”
“Oh sure,” He handed you his phone and you quickly typed your number into it. You handed it back to him.
“Just watch [y/n]. Tonight I’ll show ya just how cool I can be.” Atsumu had a determined look on his face.
“You’re awfully confident”
“Meet me at the back of the stadium when I win. There’s no way you’re gonna be able to say I’m not charmin’ after you see me play.”
“Whatever you say.” You chuckled.
“Well, I gotta go then. See ya later [y/n]!” Atsumu smiled at his phone, tucking it in his bag, and turned to dash after his teammates.
Wait. Did you really just give him your number?
~
Sendai Stadium. FRIDAY 7:05PM
You’d pulled up a chair next to Osamu’s onigiri cart. You were both watching as the players made their way onto the court.
Tonight, Atsumu’s team, the MSBY Black Jackals, were up against the Eastern Japan Paper Mills Raijin. The players from the Black Jackals that you met earlier were being announced on court one by one.
“Number 13. Atsumu Miya!!!”
Atsumu jogged onto the court beaming. He surveyed the crowd until his eyes locked with yours then he shot a playful wink in your direction.
After some setup, it seemed like the game was about to start. Someone tossed Atsumu the ball, and he started walking toward the back of the court.
“He’s about to serve.” Osamu filled you in.
“Oh…”
Atsumu turned and faced the court. Atsumu’s face turned serious. He raised his hand and clenched his fist. The crowd instantly snapped into silence. Hah??? What was that? Did he really just silence the crowd? Talk about fucking extra (and maybe a little hot).
Atsumu took a deep breath and tossed the ball into the air. He loped forward then leaped, sweeping his harm back. Looking up at the ball, he broke into a smile. It was a fun and childlike grin, the kind you couldn’t help but smile back at. He swung his hand forward making contact with the ball with a bang that echoed throughout the stadium. It shot across the net and slammed into the opponent's side of the court.
Woah.
He turned to look at you again. You were still stunned with amazement. He smirked in your direction and jogged to pick up the ball again.
Osamu turned to you with a chuckle. “When it comes to volleyball, ‘Tsumu’s not bad huh?”
As much as you wanted to make some kind of snarky comment, there was no hiding the fact that was probably the coolest thing you’d seen recently, maybe ever.
“…yeah”
And it didn’t stop there. He fired ace after ace, and even after his service streak was broken he didn’t stop pulling out smooth moves that captured your attention. At one point he went full-on limbo and got under an impossibly low ball while leaning back and tossed it perfectly to Bokuto, who slammed it down.
He lifted his shirt to wipe his sweat, revealing his midriff. You bit your lip. Okay. Fine. He was kind of hot, but you weren’t about to tell him that.
Soon, the Black Jackals had taken the first set. 25-18.
The second set was a much closer fight. 24-23. It was the Black Jackals match point on Atsumu’s serve. (Your favorite kind of point). He started his usual service route, silencing the crowd and tossing the ball into the air, but when he jumped something looked a little off. He didn’t smile at the ball like he usually did, and when his hand finally made contact it was a little awkward. The ball flew right into the net.
“Ugh.” Osamu frowned.
24-24
“Come on Atsumu…”, you muttered under your breath. He looked visibly disappointed.
A service ace from the opposing team.
24-25
The tables had been turned. The opposing team’s match point started. Hinata returned the serve and got the ball into the air. Atsumu tossed the ball to Sakusa who smashed it, but the opposing team managed to get it back in the air. The opposing team sent an attack flying back. It bounced off the blocker's hands and flew toward the back of Atsumu’s side of the court.
“A block out!”
Atsumu dove for the ball, but it was too late. It bounced just out of his reach. That dejected look on his face deepened.
As the final set started, the Black Jackals just couldn’t seem to grasp back the momentum. Any time they were about to catch up with the opponents in terms of points, the opponents would pull ahead again.
7-10
Atsumu set to Bokuto but failed to clear a path. The ball was met with a wall and crashed back to the court.
15-18
Atsumu dove for the ball again but couldn’t save it
21-24
Matchpoint. Atsumu’s serve again. He looked unstable as he launched himself up and slammed his hand into the ball. It flew over the net and kept flying.
The referee blew his whistle. “Out!”
Final Score. 1-2. MSBY Black Jackals Lose.
~
Atsumu told you to meet him behind the stadium when he won. Technically, he hadn’t won, but there’s no way you could just leave like this. It’s not like you were especially close to him, but you just couldn’t. He definitely didn’t need your help, and honestly it would be hypocritical for you, the queen of cynical perfectionism, to pat him on the back and tell him that losing is okay. Despite that here you were. You just wanted to talk to him.
You spotted him crouched at the bottom of the stairs leading to the back entrance. Cautiously, you called out to him, “Hey.”
He turned to look at you. He looked even more depressed than when he walked off the court. “What’re you doin’ here? I told you to come when I won”
“I…I didn’t want to leave you hanging.”
“Hah. Are you here to tell me being a loser is okay? Gimme a break. I don’t want your pity party”
You folded your arms and lifted your chin. “Who said I was here to cheer you up? Today, you’re a fucking loser.” He flinched.
“I know!” He buried his head back in his knees. “You don’t hafta rub it in.” His voice was muffled by his sweats.
“You’re a loser today, but”, You walked up to him and crouched down to his level, “this loss will pave the way for many more victories.”
He scoffed. “You don’t get it [y/n]! I wanna win today and the next time. I wanna win every time. Losers should just quit!”
“A competitive spirit like that is awesome. Nothing is more motivating, but Atsumu, that kinda energy is only useful if it’s powering you forward, not making you sulk and feel like you’re better off quitting. Am I wrong?”
He lifted his face out of his sweats to look at you. “…”
You reached out your hand. “C’mon let’s get out of here”
“I don’t need your help”
You smiled, knowing just what to say. “I know you don’t. This”, you took his hand in yours, “is me being selfish.”
He couldn’t help but crack a small grin at that. “Can’t argue with that can I?”
He gripped your hand back. You both stood up and started walking away from the stadium.
“You might be a loser, but I thought you looked really cool when I first saw you serve earlier”
“Wow [y/n] was that a genuine compliment?”
“…but I silencing the crowd was too extra don’t you think?”
“Hah. I don’t need any pigs interruptin’ me, and I’ve heard people think it looks hot.”
“Hot? Says who?”
Just like that you two were back to your usual bickering. You almost didn’t notice that he was still holding your hand.

Chapter Sixteen: Threat
Genre: Slow burn, I think
Pairing: Miya Osamu x f!reader
Warnings: Swearing
A/N: I’m not very proud of this chapter. I like the idea I had, but I think my execution of it could have been better and, of course, my big brain could not figure out how to be better :/
Prev. Masterlist
It didn’t take long for the bruising to heal, but the soreness stuck around for a while. Sneezing was still pretty painful. Have you always sneezed this much? Or did the gods enjoy your suffering?
The bruise gave you a reputation, both at your own school and at other schools. You relished in it. Players from other schools avoided you when the bruise was healing and whatever they told each other kept others away from you when it had finally faded. It was incredibly funny that all of these tall volleyball players were afraid of you.
It was also very useful. Most managers were girls and some schools had two or more managers. Putting a bunch of hormonal—and some entitled—teenage boys in the same space as a handful of girls was a pot ready to boil over.
“Oh! Hey!” A girl you did not know looked over at you, startled. The boy talking to her did not notice you at first. “It’s been so long since I’ve seen you!” You pulled her into a hug. She was quick to return it, even though she didn’t recognize you. The boy standing in front of her did though.
“Ah...uh...well...I gotta go warm up!” The boy rushed off, not glancing back at you. You let her go and took a huge step back.
“Sorry, it looked like he was making you uncomfortable.”
“Don’t apologize!” She grabbed your hands. “Thank you! Thank you so much! I couldn’t get him to leave me alone.” The two of you exchanged names and numbers, letting her know that she can text you if she needs help again. You started wandering around the gym, weaving between fans and athletes.
You never looked at him, not directly, so he thought he was just being paranoid, but you were always there, standing at the edge of his peripheral vision. He didn’t have a real reason to be concerned about you—you were focused on the binder in your hands, doing your duty as a manager—but he heard rumors about you and he wasn’t sure which ones were true and he didn’t plan to find out.
Watching him slowly lose himself to his anxiety was a show you wish you could have captured on camera. He would look back at you, watch you fill out something in your binder, move somewhere else, look back again. You were strategic in your movements, only moving when he seemed to relax. Maybe a few more minutes of this and it’ll be time to call it good.
“What are you doing?” Kita had been watching you for the past several minutes.
“The usual: putting fears into the hearts of men.” You were still watching the boy out of the corner of your eye. “And I’m updating some information.”
“Scaring our opponent isn’t going to help us win.” Your hand froze.
“Oh shit.” You looked up at Kita. “I didn’t realize he’s on the team we face next.” If you hadn’t been the team’s manager and had to spend as much time as you did with them, you would not have picked up on the flicker of confusion on his face. “He was harassing one of the other managers earlier. I thought I could get under his skin a little to help him think twice before doing that again…” A little extra fear should mess up his playing, which would be good for your team, but you couldn’t help feeling guilty now. You wanted them to win, but not like that.
“Why is he looking at you like that?” Aran’s eyes switched between you and the boy. You knew who he was talking about, but you glanced over anyway, before returning to finish the line up for the game.
“Oh, ya know.” A silence followed, Aran waiting for an answer, but you never gave him one.
“Do you know him?” He followed up, hoping to coax an answer out of you, but he only got a shake of your head.
“Do I need to go have a talk with him?” Atsumu pulled his water bottle from his mouth; you snorted, lifting your head from the clipboard.
“You’re cute, thinking he’s a threat.” You made eye contact with the boy at the other bench; he nearly gave himself whiplash looking away from you. “If anything,” a smirk played on your lips as you looked back at Atsumu, “he’s the one that needs the help.”

Author’s Note: We’re back _:(´ཀ`」 ∠):_
You were distraught.
Nothing in the world could ever replace your love for your ex-neighbor: Grandma Margaret. She wasn’t related to you in any way, but you still called her grandma. You’ll miss the cookies that she bakes exactly at 1:23 PM or the smiles she gives you whenever she sits on her front porch. For your twentieth birthday, she gave you her old vinyl player and you cried. Literally.
“Y/N, dear, I’m just a few houses down,” Margaret chuckled.
“I know, but neighbors are special,” you sniffled, placing your hand on your chest to add a dramatic effect.
She rolled her eyes at your actions, but you knew she was amused. It didn’t take very long for you to get along with her. She had a similar personality to yours―basically an older version of you.
“I’m still your neighbor, hon,” she spoke before taking a small sip from her tea.
“No! The point is, you ain’t next to me.”
The two of you sat on the chairs in the gazebo at the front of your house, casually conversing about what’s been going on. She informed you that your new neighbors should be coming in today and you whined, earning a small smack from her cane. Honestly, you’ll even miss getting whacked by her cane.
“Come walk me back. Enjoy my company while you can .”
Of course, you complied. You got up as you held out your arm for her to grab. Both of you managed to climb down the stairs before a moving truck drove past your house and parked on the vacant house’s driveway. You ignored the sound of doors slamming because you were too focused on bringing Margaret home, but for some reason, she wasn’t budging.
“You should welcome your new neighbors, Y/N.”
You looked at her with pleading eyes, hinting that you really don’t want to meet new people just yet. You still had to leave time to mope about not seeing her as much as you want to. She threateningly raised her cane; which caused you to raise your hands in defeat. You jogged towards the opened cargo and saw two men lifting a couch out of the vehicle. Not wanting to distract them, you waited until they placed the heavy object down at the bottom of the ramp.
“Hello, I’m Y/N L/N! Your neighbor on the right-hand side,” you greeted, trying to seem as cheery as possible.
You looked over at Margaret, who was eyeing you and gave her the thumbs up. You’re only doing this for her in all honesty. It’s not like you’re going to experience a whole ‘boy next door’ type of thing. Those things only exist in movies. Right?
“Ah! Hi there! I’m Jung Junsu and this is my son, Hoseok,” the older looking male draped his arms over Hoseok, who had trouble making eye contact with you.
He was shy, but it didn’t bother you at all. In fact, it made you more curious about the male. Once he finally lifted his head up to look at you, he flashed you a shy yet bright smile. You swore that your heart fell out of your chest. He’s a good looking guy and you weren’t prepared for this moment since you were currently wearing your favorite Kookie slippers.
“Jung Hoseok. Hope we can be friends,” he spoke, slightly bowing his head.
“The feeling is mutual,” you beamed. “Do you guys need help? I just need to walk Granny back to her home; so, I’ll be able to lend a hand right after.”
“Actually, we’d appreciate that. My wife needs a hand with the kitchen utensils.”
“No problem. I’ll be back soon.”
You quickly ran back to Margaret, who was fiddling with her cane. You told her what had happened and she was pleased. She mentioned Hoseok and you couldn’t stop babbling about how cute he was and how his smile nearly blinded you. Both of you finally reached her new home, giving her a long hug before you left to help your new neighbors.
Tumblr media
“And here’s when Hoseok dressed himself up for the first time,” Mrs. Jung smiled fondly as she pointed at the young boy in the photo album.
You almost cooed at the photo. He was wearing blue jeans and a bright yellow shirt with mixed-match shoes. You could see how proud he must have felt by the way he was posing in the photo.
“Oh! Let me show you when he took a bath and he-”
“Mom! I think she’s seen enough,” Hoseok snatched the photo book before she could lay her hands on it.
The pink tint on his cheeks was evident and you let out a soft chuckle. His mom rolled her eyes but spared him the embarrassment for the day.
“Just come after your classes and I’ll show it to you, Y/N,” she winked as she got up from the couch and headed for the kitchen, but she halted in her steps. “Will you be joining us for dinner?”
You looked at the clock and jumped from your seat. You were so immersed in helping their family that you completely lost track of time. It was already a couple of minutes past seven. The skies were dark and the stars were coming out. Is your mom gonna lecture your ass? Yes. Was it worth it? Hell yeah.
“I’m sorry, maybe next time? My mom is gonna kill me for not being home the whole day without letting her know,” you couldn’t help but bow since you knew it was an appropriate way to show how apologetic you were.
“Of course! You’re welcomed here anytime, Y/N,” she turned back towards you and gave you a hug; which you reciprocated. “You were a big help today, you must let us thank you someday.”
You almost wanted to cry at how welcoming and friendly the family was. They’ll never replace Grandma Margaret, but you definitely don’t mind them. You quickly bidded goodbye to Junsu before leaving their house. Hoseok, being the gentleman, walked you to the door. You slipped on your slippers and without thought, you hugged him goodbye. He froze on the spot, unclear of what to do; so he patted your back. You weren’t offended at the gesture. In fact, you found it amusing at how unsure he seemed.
“I’ll be seeing you around, neighbor,” you smiled, before making your way towards your house.
Once you reached your door, you turned back to make sure he headed back inside. Much to your surprise, he was standing by the van with his arms crossed over his chest. He wanted to make sure you reached your doorstep safely. Your eyes locked with one another and he shyly waved at you before he jogged back to his door. You heard his door slam and that was your cue to head in.
What a nice fucking guy.
Just after one meeting, you were already swooned by Jung Hoseok.
Tumblr media
School.
You dreaded school.
Just the word school, made you want to throw yourself off a cliff, but that’s not the point. The real question is whether Hoseok is attending your school or not. A small part of you hoped he would be.
Okay, maybe a big part of you hoped.
Just to be clear, you don’t have feelings for the male. You’re simply curious and you wanted to know more about him. You already set a goal for yourself: befriend Jung Hoseok. It doesn’t seem impossible since you’ve already earned the trust of his family. You just needed him to trust you.
You followed your morning ritual: brushed your teeth, washed your face, and combing your hair. Of course, you had to check the weather for today. That’s crucial because you didn’t want to make the same mistake again when you wore a sweater in ninety-degree weather. You unlocked your phone and tapped on the weather app.
“Sunny,” you read out loud.
You were hoping to wear one of your hoodies, but the weather has spoken. You grabbed some jean shorts from your closet and threw on a shirt. The boys at your school didn’t really catch your eye; so, there wasn’t really anybody to impress. Before you head to the kitchen, you wanted a small amount of sunlight to light up your room. You walked towards the curtains and pushed them apart a tiny bit.
“There ya g―Shit!”
You jumped at the sight of Mr. Jung on the other side of the window. Thankfully, he was just talking to his wife. Nothing more than that. You recollected yourself, finally walking out of the room.
It’s only in the movies. Hoseok’s room wouldn’t be the one adjacent to yours. What did you expect?
Tumblr media
“Spill. Hot neighbor or not?”
You looked at your best friend with confusion. She literally appeared out of nowhere and sat in the seat next to you while you were just trying to enjoy your snack before the professor walks in.
“What are yo―oh, you mean the Jung’s?”
“Judging by the last name, I’ll take that as a yes,” F/N concluded as she nodded her head.
“He’s cute,” you continued. “I wouldn’t say hot.”
“Just wait.”
Sometimes you questioned her intuition, but you decided to let it go. Hoseok is cute. He is literal sunshine. He has a smile that makes you want to coo at him, not devour his mouth. You decided that he was adorable, not hot. Nothing more, nothing less.
“How’s the progress with your boy, Min Yoongi?” You smirked.
“It’s getting…somewhere?”
“And?”
“We’re getting coffee during our two-hour break in between class,” she explained as if it wasn’t a big deal.
“Bro. Just ask him out already.”
“Patience is a virtue, Y/N.”
You scoffed at her comment. The professor finally arrived and you were already falling asleep thirty minutes into the session. You looked over at your best friend, who was watching a movie on her laptop. She looked at you and winked before focusing back on her screen. Instead of doing the same, you decided to leave class to go for a stroll.
The campus was practically empty. You enjoyed the peace and quiet for once. Sometimes the place was loud and bustling with fellow students, but not this time. Placing your earphones into your ears, you continued to walk down the concrete path. Your eyes were too focused on the ground and you didn’t notice somebody walking right into your lane. You two bumped shoulders and you turned to see who it was.
Hoseok.
“I-I’m so sorry. I didn’t see whe—oh, hello.”
“Hey there, neighbor. You lost?” You asked cooly.
“How did yo—“
“You’re the only person I’ve seen on campus right now. Meaning, everyone’s in class and you’re not.”
“What about you?” He asked, beet red.
“Taking a leisurely stroll, thank you very much.”
He grunted at your answer, but he seemed conflicted. You couldn’t let a lonely person roam aimlessly around campus.
“What’s the room number?” You questioned.
“Oh, um, H-208.”
“Come, come, I shall take you there!”
You began to walk towards the room and he hurriedly followed behind you. The silence between you two was steadily increasing the awkward tension.
“What class is this?” You asked, finally breaking the silence.
“Dance,” he answered right away.
This piqued your interest. A boy who dances? Oh man, that’s like wishing on a shooting star: rare as fuck.
“That’s really cool, not a lot of guys do that nowadays.”
“I’m really passionate about it. I enjoy hip-hop the most.”
The two of you easily conversed with one another. You guys would jump from topic to topic and there was a lack of silence. You were relieved at how quickly he opened up to you. Mentally, you pat yourself on the back. Sadly, the conversation had to come to an end as the two of you reached the entrance of his class.
“Here’s your stop.”
“Thanks a lot, I owe you one.”
“Ahh, it’s no big deal,” you shrugged. “I gotta head back to class now. I’ve been gone for thirty minutes already.”
You turned your heels and began heading back towards your class. You heard a voice, so you turned back around to see who it was.
“Y-You’re fun to talk to and thanks for keeping me company,” he smiled before pushing the door open.
Thump.
“Well, shit.”
Tumblr media
“And I said, you need some sugar for your coffee? Because I’m what you need,” your best friend explained.
“You have balls.”
“I’m deter—oh wow, he got some looks.”
You looked to see who your best friend was talking about.
It was Hoseok, leaning against the building while his attention was on his phone. Your best friend wasn’t wrong. You’re surprised that you didn’t notice his black button-up rolled halfway up his forearm or his black skinny jeans that showed off his muscular legs. How could you have missed the important part of his being?
His long wavy hair that fits him so damn perfectly.
Hot damn.
“Hot damn is right.”
“Oh fuck, I said that out loud?”
“Loud and clear,” F/N laughed. “You said he was cute. Now I call bullshit.”
“How’d you know that’s Hoseok?”
“I didn’t, but now I do~!”
You wanted to smack your damn forehead. The two of you kept bickering, but mostly her making fun of your crush for Hoseok.
Wait.
No, it’s definitely not a crush. He’s just a good looking guy who has a heart of gold. You were too busy trying to convince yourself that you don’t like Hoseok to the point where you didn’t notice him walking towards you two. F/N had to smack you out of your thoughts and you were ready to smack her back until you finally noticed him. You immediately put your fist down and smiled at him.
“Y/N! I was waiting for you,” he beamed.
“He was fucking waiting for you,” F/N whispered in your ear; which resulted in your hand colliding with her arm.
“Oh? What for?” You asked, genuinely confused.
“I thought we should walk home together. It would be nice to have someone to talk to,” he offered.
“Take her, please,” F/N pushed you towards him. “I love you, text me when you get home.”
With that, she ran away at the speed of light. Curse her and her running skills. You looked at him while he looked right back at you. How did you not notice his deep brown eyes or his jawline that could slice an iron bar? Okay, exaggerating, but it really seems like it’s possible. Especially for him. Don’t you just hate when friends point out something that you’ve been missing this whole time?
“Ready when you are,” he spoke up.
You nodded and led the way.
Tumblr media
“You should come over for dinner later,” he suggested.
Both of you were standing by your front door. His suggestion nearly threw you off, but you definitely weren’t against the idea because you’d be stupid for rejecting free food. Specifically, Korean food.
“Maybe! I gotta ask my mom first,” you answered back.
You swore you saw his smile faltered for a second, but you decided to brush it off and not question it. He watched as you unlocked the door to your house. You couldn’t help but feel nervous. Your heart was beating fast and you didn’t know why. You finally managed to get the door open, so you turned towards him and waved before heading inside.
“W-Wait!”
“Yeah?”
“Let’s exchange numbers, so um, you can text me if you decide to join us.”
You blinked once, then you blink twice because you had to process what he just told you. He wanted your number and you weren’t sure about how to handle that. If you get his number, then you can text him anytime you want. Unless he only texts for dinner purposes only. Once again, you tried not to think too much about it. It’s not like you were excited or anything. It’s just a number.
“Yeah, sure,” you said cooly, trying to hide your excitement.
He handed you his phone and you did the same. You both typed in your phone numbers and gave back the devices. You would hug him to bid him goodbye, but after your best friend pointed out how handsome he was, you hesitated. Your heart was doing flips in your chest, but you’re sure it’s not because you have a crush on him. It’s only because he’s a good looking man. Right?
“Make sure to text me,” he spoke up as he pulled you into a hug.
“Y-Yeah, of course.”
He pulled away and headed back to his house. You finally stepped inside your house and ran to your room. Tossing your backpack aside, you sat at your desk and contemplated whether you should join the Jung’s for dinner or not. The sunlight was blinding your eye, so you got up to shut the blinds. Just as you were about to do so, you saw a figure through the other window.
You expected to see the older male on the other side, but you actually saw Hoseok. Not that you had in issue with that. You thought of waving at Hoseok, but that would be creepy because it would look like you were watching him this whole time. Technically, you’re doing that right now. Just as you were about to shut the blinds, you swore you only blinked for a second and his shirt disappeared from his body.
Oh my- fuck.
Your mouth hung open at the sight. The man got a body. He’s so toned that you could just cry. It was pretty clear that God was biased and Hoseok was his favorite, so he gave him the good shit. You weren’t complaining though because you’re satisfied with being his friend.
But do you truly just want to be friends?
The sound of your phone vibrating snapped you out of your thoughts. You picked up the device to check who it was, but it was an unknown number. That piqued your curiosity. Unlocking your phone, you immediately hit the text app and opened the message.

Sunshine
Hello
You
Did you put yourself as Sunshine?
Sunshine
Yes…
But will you be joining us for dinner?
You
Will the moon and planets be there??
Sunshine
They’re busy
You’re invited to eat with the Jung family
(:
You
I accept, Sunshine
Sunshine
:D
You squealed when he sent that smiley face. That’s so fucking cute. Hoseok’s bright smile was the only thing you could imagine now. You realized you didn’t even ask your mom, but you knew she’d understand. When it came to good looking men, she’s the best wing women out there. In reality, she was sick and tired of your single ass life. What a supportive woman.
Without thought, you grabbed the nearest shirt and changed out of your current one. No one cares about the bottoms, so you just kept on the same shorts that you wore to school earlier. You left the room to inform your mom about your plans. Closing the blinds completely slipped your mind.
Tumblr media
You’ve been standing in front of the door for a solid ten minutes now. You didn’t really understand why you became nervous all of a sudden. Literally, a couple of days ago you were fine and comfortable with the family, yet here you are at their doorstep, refusing to push the doorbell. The parents were friendly. The atmosphere was great. They were great. You’re just overthinking. It couldn’t be Hoseok making you feel this way because you’ve only known him for a while. It’s not like you saw him shirtless or anything.
You counted to five and forced yourself to push the button. The sound of the bell echoed through your ears. You waited a couple of seconds and the door flew open, revealing a disheveled Hoseok. Since when did messy hair and heavy breathing look so good on a man?
“Hello, please come in.”
You thanked him and let yourself in. The house was more organized and lively compared to scattered boxes and unbuilt furniture. He led you to the dining room and you saw his parents together in the kitchen chatting.
“Finally! It’s so nice to see you again,” Mrs. Jung beamed.
“Hope you’ve been well,” Mr. Jung nodded.
“Thank you for inviting me,” you smiled.
The four of you gathered in the dining room and sat. Each of them talked about their day. You were fond of the close bond the family shared. Not saying you don’t share that with your family, but it’s nice to see families go through the same thing.
“What do you think of Hoseok, Y/N?” his mother asked.
You nearly choked on your food and ended up having a coughing fit. That question nearly killed you.
“O-Oh, uh, your son is great,” you finally spoke. “Quite the gentleman.”
“Mom, what the he-”
“Barbara’s daughter is single,” she interrupted. “You can thank me later.”
You felt your stomach churn. You could even say that you felt sick.
“I think you two would be a cute couple,” she finished. “Y/N is too good for you anyways.”
This time you nearly fell off your chair. You appreciate the compliment, but never in your life did you think she would ever say that. If anything, you thought Hoseok was too good for you.
“I wouldn’t say that,” you spoke.
“Oh stop, it true. It’s rare to find a girl who helps a family moving in.”
“Well―”
“And you showed Hoseok around the school,” Junsu mentioned.
Wait. If they knew about that, then that means Hoseok talks about you to his parents. You felt some pride swell up in your chest, but he was probably just being nice. Remember, you totally don’t have a crush on your neighbor. Man, your life is a literal movie.
“I think your son is great in his own ways.”
Now all eyes were on you. You felt your face heat up, but you just had to get that off your chest. It wasn’t a lie, you really did think he’s an amazing guy, despite only knowing him for a short period. Thankfully, you weren’t the only one who was red. Hoseok was a tomato.
“You guys shou―”
“And I think Y/N wants to go home! Isn’t that right?” Hoseok explained as he jumped from his seat.
“Y-Yeah, it’s getting late,” you said as you got up from your seat.
You quickly placed your dirty dish into the sink and hugged his parents goodbye before rushing out of the dining room. What the fuck is going on? What the hell just happened?
Once the two of you were alone by the front door, you let out a nervous laugh.
“I’m so sorry about that,” he apologized.
“It’s not a problem. Honestly, my mom is always trying to set me up too.”
“I wouldn’t mind if it was you,” he mumbled.
You didn’t quite catch that, but he’s been through enough for the day. He opened the door for you and you both stepped outside. The stars were out and the moon was a lot brighter today. You were so immersed with the sight. He looked over at you and saw the eyes reflect in your eyes.
Snap.
Tumblr media
Ever since your dinner with The Jung’s, you became a lot closer to Hoseok. He would walk with you to and from school, joined you for lunch with your best friend and Yoongi, and he would even come in for dinner. To say that your mom loved him was an understatement. When he wasn’t around, she would call him son-in-law.
You learned many things about the male. He’s a talented artist in many places. Photography, dance, drawing, and more. You were envious of his talent. The little things he did for you would bring a smile to your face. He would send you a good morning text or give you a hug whenever you two depart ways.
Remember how you said you wouldn’t catch feelings?
Too fucking late.
You were in too deep and it was starting to put you in an emotional rollercoaster. Having crushes are fun, but tiring. You have something to look forward to, but when they don’t do something you expect, you can’t help but feel a little sad. Although your friendship with Hoseok was blooming, so was his popularity.
Ever since he won his first dance competition―which he gave you backstage passes―his name spread like wildfire. Nearly every single person knew the name Jung Hoseok. You had to fight off a lot of girls just to be able to meet with him after your classes.
There was a day where you felt sad because you were thinking about Hoseok leaving you for new people. He noticed your saddened mood, so he pulled you off to the side and looked you in the eyes.
No matter who I’m with or where I am, you’ll always be the first person I think of
Ever since he said those words to you, he couldn’t stay off your mind. At this point, it was driving you crazy. Your heart was hurting for Hoseok and you chose to suffer through it.
Tumblr media
“Dude, you look lovesick,” F/N blurted out.
You were literally just minding your own business.
“Thanks.”
“I’m gonna call Hos-”
“Don’t you dare,” you threatened; which earned a sigh from your best friend.
“You look miserable,” Yoongi spoke.
The two of you didn’t notice him coming until he sat down next to F/N and said those words. She squealed in excitement and clung onto his arms while resting her head on his shoulder.
“Yeah, not helping, fucking love birds,” you muttered.
“Then do something about it instead of moping around.”
You were about to fight Yoongi, but someone sat next to you; which startled you a bit.
“Do something about what?” Hoseok questioned.
“N-Nothing,” you breathed. “Ah look at the time! Gotta go!”
You got up from your seat and left the area. You couldn’t be around Hoseok because your feelings were becoming unbearable. Just being near him was torture. You wish you could kiss his soft lips and be encased by his strong arms, but sadly, this is reality and you needed to get out of your fantasy land.

Sunshine
Did you go home without me??
):
You
I wasn’t feeling well, sorry.
Sunshine
Feel better (:
You
Thanks.
It was only four o’clock and you didn’t know what to do. Usually, you were still with Hoseok around this time and it felt odd that you were home early. Even your mom questioned why you were back already, but you only grunted in response before shutting the door of your room. You decided to stare at the ceiling until you drifted off into sleep.
Tumblr media
You woke up. You look out your window and saw how dark it was outside. Sadly, you didn’t have any notifications on your phone, specifically none from Hoseok, but you didn’t blame him. You did respond to him monotonously and straight out sounded uninterested. You’d be lying if you said you didn’t want him to text you.
Despite taking a nap, you still felt tired. Maybe it was your emotions weighing you down. Honestly, you didn’t really have the motivation for anything; which sucked ass. You couldn’t help but feel like Hoseok deserved an explanation for your recent actions. Could you even bring yourself to send him a text?
Frustrated, you got up from your comfy bed and went into the kitchen to drink some water. You couldn’t help but wonder what Hoseok was up to right now.
Now's not the time to think about him, Y/N.
You let out a sigh and wished that your feelings would fade. You could literally have a normal and happy friendship with him, but your heart says otherwise. Self-blame won’t get you anywhere though. Maybe if you just outright tell him, you could get over this stupid phase. You prepared yourself for the worse.
So, here you are, sitting on your bed at nine 9:34 PM, conjuring up ideas of how to approach the situation.

You
Hey, look out your window real quick
Sunshine
?
Your heart was beating uncontrollably as you held up the sign that said: I like you a lot. You hid your face behind the white cardboard, desperately trying to hide your embarrassment. A bunch of scenarios played through your head, but you only focused on a specific one: rejection. At one point you felt like you couldn’t breathe because all these emotions were overwhelming, but it is what it is. On the bright side, you got something off your chest. It won’t be eating you up as bad anymore.
You looked passed your board to see if he was still looking at you, but he wasn’t standing by his window anymore. You placed the board on your desk and jogged back to your window. To get a better glimpse, you pulled up the blinds and slid your window open. You poked your head out. Much to your disappointment, he wasn’t there at all. In fact, it made you a little angry. It felt like he ignored you.
You were about to shut your window until something grabbed your hand. Fight mode kicked in real fast, so you readied your fist.
“W-wait!” the person panicked. “I-it’s me, Hoseok!”
You lowered your fist down but yanked your hand away from his. You couldn’t risk falling any deeper than you are right now. Hoseok saddened a little at your action, but he wanted to get straight to the point.
“If you’re here to reject me, I would’ve been fine with a text,” you mumbled. “I appreciate that you came all this way to-”
“That’s not why I’m here,” he interrupted. “C-Can I come in?”
You looked at him with conflict. Is he trying to rub salt on the wound? You moved aside to let him climb through your window. Your arms were crossed above your chest because you were on guard. You refuse to let your heart take any more hits. He stood by your window, fiddling with his fingers as if he was struggling to find the right words. Silence filled the room.
“Well?” You asked, breaking the tension.
He looked at you straight in the eye and stood up straight.
“W-Well, I don’t really know how to say this…”
“As I said if it’s re-”
“No! P-Please, give me a moment.”
You saw how desperate he seemed, so you walked over to your bed and patted the space next to you. You felt bad for being cold, so you want to try to help him feel as comfortable as possible. He hesitated but ended up plopping beside you with his whole body facing you. You waited until he was ready. Sometimes you forget that confessions can be troubling for both parties.
“When I first met you, you offered to help my family,” he spoke up. “You didn’t know who we were, yet you still offered.”
Honestly, you didn’t know where he was trying to go with this, but you didn’t interrupt him. You listened intently.
“To be honest, I was shocked by your kindness. You also helped me at school, let me join your friend group, and kept me company whenever we went home.”
“Oh, well, I guess I’m just a nice person.”
“No, you’re more than that,” he butted in. “You think about others without a second thought. At one point, I admired you.”
Now you were blushing. Your mouth was agape because you didn’t think he viewed you in the light. Either way, you didn’t want hopes to shoot through the roof, so you kept your expectations low.
“And well…” he paused; which left you on edge. “The admiration turned into something more.”
“Damn, I knew it,” you sighed.
“Y-You do?”
“Yeah, you want to be best friends. Is this what it’s like to be friend-zoned?”
“No!”
He was getting frustrated and you were flat out confused. You thought you pieced
everything together. Okay, no more jumping to conclusions. You kept your mouth shut and waited for him to formulate his words.
“I admire you,” he continued. “You make me want to be a better person for you.”
Thump.
“I-I wanted to be there for you and when you were sad that one time, you said you were scared I would leave you, something broke inside of me. I wanted to protect you.”
Thump.
“This whole time, I thought was fine with just being your friend, but I was wrong. I’m really selfish.”
Thump. Thump.
“Eventually, I found myself wanting more. I don’t want to be your friend.”
“Wha-”
“I’m in love with you, Y/N.”
“No fucking way, you lyin’,” you were in complete disbelief.
This all sounds too good to be true.
“I’m being serious,” he said sternly.
You didn’t know how to respond. You prepared yourself for rejection, but instead, you get the complete opposite. He never broke eye contact with you, but you could see that he was getting nervous again. You weren’t responding and he began to worry.
“I know you feel the same way, Y/N,” he whispered, smiling.
Now you’re getting flustered. You can’t run away in your own house. Hoseok felt confident. You both shared the same feelings and nothing can stop you two now. Nothing could go wrong at this point.
“Yeah, so?” you huffed. “You want a kiss as a reward or something?”
“Yeah, actually,” he smirked.
Curse you and your fucking mouth. Putting you in places that you don’t want to be in. Well, you don’t mind kissing him though. It’s not like you’ve always wanted to anyways. He turned his body towards you, so you scooted closer to him and made eye contact with him before looking down at his lips. Since when were they so…pink?
“I’m waiting.”
You rolled your eyes at his comment, but it helped get rid of some of that nervous feeling that welled up in your stomach. Thankfully, his eyes were closed. It would’ve been so awkward if they were staring right at you. He was bouncing in his spot because you could feel the bed shake a bit. You didn’t want to keep the male waiting, so you inched closer and closer. His looks were a bit intimidating up close.
“You can’t back out now,” you warned.
“I wasn’t planning to,” he answered back.
Here goes nothing.
You cupped his face and stared right at his lips. You found it cute that he leaned into your hand a little. He wanted to cherish you as much as you wanted to cherish him. Despite all the stalling you’ve been doing, he was enjoying every single second. All that mattered to him was that you’re there. This isn’t a dream, but it’s reality.
Bringing your face closer to his, you felt his breath hit your lips. He could feel your presence close to his own; which caused his heart rate to increase dramatically. If only you knew how much you meant to him and how badly he’s always wanted for this moment to happen. You both drove each other crazy.
The softness of his lips touched your own. At first, you held your breath in for a second, but you manage to relax into it. What you thought would be a simple peck, turned into open-mouth kisses. As the kisses became more intense, you moved your hands from his face to the back of his neck. He wanted you to be as close as possible, so he placed his hands on your waist and pulled you closer. The kisses you two shared proved how desperately both of you wanted this by the way you held each other.
Just as the two of you were about to pull away from each other, he bit the bottom of your lip and sucked it lightly. He looked at you with lust in his eyes. It was almost scary. But in a sexy way. You could almost feel how much he wanted you, but you wanted to settle down everything between the two of you.
“So…” you trailed off. “What are we now then?”
“Let me ask you out properly before we become official.”
“It doesn’t have to be special.”
“I want it to memorable.”
You felt the heat rise up in your cheeks. Hoseok was determined to make you feel special and he was willing to do as much as he can to prove how much you mean to him. No one has ever bothered to put that much effort into you, let alone being unofficial. Your body moved on its own, and you found yourself embracing him in your arms.
Tumblr media
The weather was sunny, you felt great, and everything was real. Yesterday wasn’t a dream and you realized that the moment you pinched yourself after waking up. Hoseok also sent you a good morning text with hearts surrounding the message. For once, you were having a good morning. The smell of breakfast made your day even better considering how you napped through dinner last night. The table was laid with piles of food and your mouth was watering.
“What’s with the smile on your face?” Your mom asked. “It’s unusual.”
“Don’t wof-ry abou- et,” you struggled to say with waffles stuffed in your mouth.
“It has to do with Hoseok, huh?” she was eyeing you now.
“Look at the time! Gotta get to class, bye!”
Never have you ran so fast out of your house. The news between you and Hoseok needed to wait because technically, you two aren’t official. Yet. The thought about you two being together, gave you butterflies in your stomach. Right as you locked the front door of your house, Hoseok was already standing in front of your house with coffee in both his hands. He was smiling right at you and you felt the world get brighter.
“Good morning, Y/N,” he beamed. “I got you a little gift.”
“O-Oh! Thank you,” you smiled as you happily took the beverage from his hand.
Walking to school was enjoyable with Hoseok holding your hand and coffee in the other hand. As soon as you got to school, people kept staring, but you were unbothered because all that mattered was that you had him. He was smiling through the stares, but his eyes were mostly on you.
He walked you to your first class and his lips touched your cheek. You waved to him as he headed to his own class. As you sat in your seat, you were ambushed by your best friend once again.
“Bitch! I saw that!” she exclaimed while pointing her index finger at you. She didn’t even bother to sit at her desk. Instead, she stood right in front of you, waiting for an explanation.
“Saw what?”
“Ah! Don’t play dumb,” she countered. “Give me the deets.”
As much as you love your best friend, she can be loud at times because now a majority of the class was looking at you two. You gestured her to lean in closer, so she did. Instead of telling her, you grabbed her ear and told her that you’ll tell her after class. Once you let go, she eyed you while taking her seat next to you. You noticed how her leg was shaking; which you knew meant she was excited.
“So you’re telling me that you pulled a Taylor Swift and it worked?” F/N asked bewilderedly.
You laughed at your best friend's reaction.
“That’s all I gotta say.”
“Honestly, say no more,” she nodded approvingly.
Tumblr media
Dinner was amazing and you still couldn’t believe that Hoseok set it up all by himself, despite your mom wanting to help. The smile on your face wouldn’t go away. You wish you could live this moment forever, but you were grateful that you got to experience it. Hoseok felt accomplished the moment your eyes lit up. He knew that he wanted to make you happy from this moment on.
He led you to your room, ready to watch something on youtube. He already brought extra clothes for himself to get comfortable in. Without a warning, he took off his shirt and you could see the defined lines of his abs. You didn’t realize you were staring until he waved his hand in front of you. Embarrassed, you grabbed a t-shirt, some pajama shorts, and ran to the bathroom without making any eye contact with him. The last thing you heard was him chuckling.
After regaining your posture and successfully changing into comfy clothes, you managed to exit the bathroom with ease. Hoseok was already settled in your bed with his back against the bed frame with his attention on his phone. Who could have known a guy could look so good in a plain white tee and sweats. You hopped on your bed and snuggled into your blankets before taking your laptop and putting on some music. You tried to stay cool despite there being a hot man next to you on your bed. It was pretty exciting.
“I wanna show you a video,” Hoseok spoke up.
You looked up from your phone and leaned closer to him. Instead of playing the video, he wrapped his arm around your shoulders and pulled your closer. The heat traveled up to your cheeks and you looked up at him.
“Sorry, it was the only way I could pull you closer to me,” he smiled.
Well fuck.
As he unlocked his phone, you noticed his wallpaper. The person on his phone looked familiar and he saw you staring at his screen.
“When did you take this?” You asked.
“Remembered the first time you came over for dinner? You were looking at the stars and I couldn’t help myself. I had to capture the moment where heaven couldn’t match your beauty.”
He finally played a video of an idol group dancing, but your thoughts were racing through your head. You tried to calm your heart by taking a deep breath; instead, you got a whiff of his cologne. Oh, boy did that shit smell amazing. Without realizing it, your face was practically buried in his chest.
“It’s Kalvin Clein,” he spoke up as he soothingly rubbed your back.
“You can’t call me out like that,” you mumbled.
“As your boyfriend, yeah I can,” he chuckled.
There were butterflies in your stomach. He can’t just say that term so casually. Your heart and soul wasn’t ready for that. You ended up snuggling closer to him and placing your legs on top of his. Now you could see the screen of his phone more clearly, but this time, someone else was having trouble focusing on the video. His body stiffened, but you paid no attention to the subtle action. Hoseok never showed any interest in certain things. Especially the explicit ones. Then again, you both never tried anything.
We’ve never even had sex.
“W-We can if you want.”
“Did I say that out―oh my god,” you wheezed.
You’re totally not embarrassed at all. Blame your hormones. Speaking your mind has been putting you in deep shit.
“I-I mean we can, but I understand if you do-”
“I do, I really do…” he paused. “I was just going at your pace.”
This man is so fucking considerate that it hurts your soul, but that’s not the only thing that’s hurting. Your need for him is more painful.
“That’s hot.”
“What?”
“What?”
“Fuck it.”
You grabbed his phone out of his hand and gently put it on the nightstand. As much as you love being in his arms, you sat up and straddled him. Honestly, you had nothing to lose at this point. You two were officially already and it’s too late to back out now.
He looked at you with wide eyes, still comprehending what just happened. You didn’t wait for him to make a move, so you began to grind down on his cock. His eyes rolled back as he hissed through his teeth. You felt his hands wrap around your hips eagerly, encouraging you to slowly pace yourself back and forth. They gripped tighter as you continued to rub your womanhood onto his member. You could tell that he was holding back his moans in the back of his throat by the way his breathing was unsteady.
“Let me hear you,” Y/N whispered.
You dipped your face into the crane of his neck and kissed him sweetly.
Hoseok looked at the way you rode him, causing his head to throw back with excitement. Finally, he let himself go and let out his stifled moans.
“Keep going,” he sighed, eyes still closed from the undeniable pleasure.
With his size growing in his gray sweatpants, your center became damper alongside him. You two were in sync as the sounds escaped both of your mouths; which then led your hands to trail down his torso, taking the hem of his white t-shirt and tugging it up. Instinctively, Hoseok took your sign and took off his top to toss it onto the floor. You let out a hum of amusement. Before, you had only gotten a chance to see it, but now you had your hands roaming all over his toned body.
“Your turn,” he spoke, mimicking your last action.
You smirked, eyeing the way his fingers fiddled with the bottom of your shirt. But just as you were about to take initiative, he began peeling your own piece of clothing and tossed to the floor as well. You could hear him swearing to himself. Letting out a soft moan, you took your index finger to drag his eyes to yours. He showcased a lovely; yet, lazy smile. With his hair nearly covering his eyes though, you pouted. You wanted to see his gaze meet yours, and that’s exactly what you did. Your fingers pushed his long bangs back, only urging you to kiss him once again.
“You’re so beautiful,” Hoseok murmured against your lips.
All you could do was smile in return. You were flattered above anyone else at that moment. Your riding had increased, but his strong hands stopped you for a few seconds. He didn’t have to say much as that point, but you couldn’t help but let out a small laugh. Knowing he heard you, he also chuckled. All you could think was, goddamn.
It only took a second for Hoseok to flip both of you over. Now that he was on top, he placed a chaste kiss on your lips, then trailing a handful of wet kisses down your neck, between your breasts, and stopping just above the waistband of your shorts. Your moans were constant; even though you had some moments when you wanted to stop yourself from becoming so vulnerable. His doe-like eyes peered up at you, catching each other’s attention while his lips were still pressed against your sensitive skin.
You could feel the corners of his lips lifting up with a smile. He was satisfied with his doing, and you wanted to let him know he was doing everything right. When you felt the beds of his fingertips curling around the elastic, you threw your head back in preparation for what was about to come. When you could feel the cold air of the room hitting the rest of your bare body, you inhaled sharply. Your feet gradually slide up towards yourself naturally, knowing you had to brace yourself. As soon as Hoseok’s hot breath hit your wet center, you felt the shivers running throughout your entire body. His warm hands wrapped themselves around your thighs.
“Please,” you whined, squirming under his control.
“So eager for my tongue baby girl,” he mumbled.
Just as you were about to respond back, you could feel the wetness of his own mouth touch your clit, causing your head to dig back into the pillow. You swore under your breath and bucked your hips towards him. Trying not to lose yourself, your hand reached down for his and gripped it tightly. As his tongue ran up and down between your folds, your toes began to curl. The wears were unstoppable and clearly neither way he. Even when you can't stop your own hips from moving his mouth didn’t pull away at any second. You could feel the intense bubble in your stomach almost bursting.
“Hoseok,” you moaned.
There was nothing like the way you said the name that turned him on even more. Just as he thought he was going to spare you, he took away one of his hands. You gulped. When you felt his two digits pushing into your tight pussy, you bit the bottom of your lips as hard as you could in order not to make any loud noises. As much as you wanted to scream at the top of your lungs with the amount of pleasure he provided you, there were still boundaries. You had to keep in mind that you were still in your room and a house that was shared with more than one person. But when Hoseok started pumping his fingers in and out of you, he was making it too difficult for you. By the way, you seemed to struggle beneath him, he moaned against your clit. The vibrations sent chills down your spine from the additional euphoric feeling.
“I’m so close,” Y/N whispered with desperation. “Keep going.”
Of course, Hoseok would follow your orders. If he had this reaction out of you, he didn’t want it to stop. It was a reward to already have you to call his very own, but having you finish due to his ability would be a great addition. Just then, he thought to push his index and middle finger deeper inside of you, curling the tips of them every time he entered you. Now that the butterflies were set free in your stomach, your hands reached for the top of his head, not wanting this moment to end.
“I-I’m c-coming,” you stuttered, feeling your pussy clenching around his fingers.
After your release of sweet pleasure, you were panting heavily. You felt like you ran a whole marathon. His fingers and tongue felt amazing, yet you felt incomplete. You wanted his cock badly. No, scratch that, you needed his cock. He did so much for you and you wanted to repay him. It took you a lot of effort to sit up. You motioned him to lie down on his back and he followed your order.
Once he settled on his back, you didn’t hesitate to smash your lips together. Your tongues battled for dominance, but you wanted to get straight to pleasuring your man. As much as you love his mouth on yours, you pulled away and grabbed his wrist. His fingers were still coated with your juices, but you didn’t care. Without thought, you brought your mouth to his fingers. You began running your tongue in between the two digits while eyeing him seductively. Eventually, you sucked on his fingers and rolled your eyes back to give him a little show.
“Holy shit,” he breathed.
You smiled at his comment and gave him a quick peck before lowering your head towards his aching bulge. Your hands rubbed his clothed cock and you could hear his breath hitch. Then you traced your fingers around the waistband of both his sweatpants and boxers, quickly pulling them down. His dick sprung up, hitting his stomach. You wrapped your hand his thickness and slowly pumped his girth. He let out a moan as you began to pick up the pace. You finally brought your lips to the tip of his cock. You guided your tongue around him, allowing you to coat his member. Finally, you took his entire size into your mouth and his hands immediately tugged on your locks.
You bobbed your head back and forth at a steady pace. Looking up, you saw him biting down on his lower lip. You wanted to hear him. You wanted him to say your name. Without warning, you brought his cock to the back of your throat.
“Fuck, Y/N.”
Just hearing him say that encouraged you to go faster. You grabbed his hips to steady your pace. Suddenly, you felt a harsh tug on your hair, causing you to pull away from him. You looked at him with confusion.
“Keep that up and I would’ve came in your mouth…” he paused. “But I want to come inside you.”
You felt your pussy moisten at his words. This man was driving you crazy.
“I’m on birth control.”
“That’s all I needed to hear,” he smirked.
He grabbed your arm and pulled you down on your back. Before you knew it, he was back on top of you. Refusing you to do any more work.
“You did enough for me, baby,” he spoke as he sucked on your neck.
His easily slipped a finger inside you, causing you to mewl.
“And you’re already so fucking wet for me.”
He pulled his finger out and positioned himself in between your legs. The tip of his cock was right at your entrance, but he wanted to tease you a bit. You watched as he grabbed his hard length and slowly rubbed it against your folds. You could hear the wetness of your pussy as he would insert the tip and take it out. It was fucking torture.
“Hoseok, baby, please.”
“Please what?”
“Your cock, i-inside me…” you stuttered, “Please!”
You begging for him was music to his ears. He hummed in satisfaction. Finally, he inserted his whole member inside you and it was pure bliss. He placed one of your legs on his shoulder, allowing him to go deeper, causing you to cover your mouth to muffle your screams. He brought his fingers to your clit and rubbed it in a circular motion. You arched your back, taking in all the pleasure he’s giving you. Another bubble was forming at the pit of your stomach and you didn’t know how much longer you could take it. Hoseok could tell you were on the verge of coming, so he picked up the pace. He was going harder while rubbing your clit at the same time as you were closing in on another orgasm. He felt you clench around him, but that didn’t slow down his rhythm.
“Oh fuck!”
You finally reached your limit and came all over his still hardened cock.
“Hands and knees. Now,” he demanded.
He wasn’t going to let you recover. He positioned himself perfectly at your entrance and slammed himself in you, nearly knocking you off your hands. His balls kept hitting your pussy and you knew he wasn’t holding back. As he continued to thrust himself in you, you felt a hard smack on your ass. You moaned at his gesture, earning a hard pull on your hair. Your neck was bending back as he brought his lips to your ear. His teeth were softly gnawing on the shell of your ear. You were enjoying this too much, clearly, he was too.
“Right there, oh shit,” you moaned.
He placed his hands on your hips and pulled you into him. His pace fastened while your moans filled the room. At this point, you knew that both of you could be heard, but you had no fucks left to give. The only thing you could focus on was how close you two were and the immense amounts of pleasure you’ve both given and received. You could tell that you were getting weaker when your head began to slowly fall into the pillow, but Hoseok wasn’t going to have that. Seeing the way he had you, it was the perfect time to give you no choice. When he had one hand secure on your hip, the other reach around to cup your throat. He had no idea how much you enjoyed the retrain, but when he took a quick glance at your eyes, he knew. Your eyes rolled back, hair messy and mouth open wide, he had you locked. Just how he inched you back, your back was nearly touching his torso. Your posture was in that exact position where you could feel every inch of him inside of you. Again, you could feel yourself coming undone once more. He was just too immersed in his actions that his pace was steady and focused. The slapping of his hips against your ass, both of your heavy breaths intertwining with one another, and the sweat dripping down both of your bodies had a great effect on the great event.
“Fuck- I’m gonna-” he uttered.
“Come inside of me babe,” she interrupted.
His breathing suddenly became unsteady and his thrusts also started to feel messy and slow. With every last pumped inside of you, he paused for a second. With one last hard push, he let out a grunt and satisfied sigh.
“Fuck,” he sighed in relief.
As the two of you collected yourselves, your bodies plopped on the bed beside each other. Even though your breaths were still loud and heavy, you both managed to shoot each other a smile. You helped each other clean up and got ready for bed. You both exchanged a couple of words to each other before drifting off into a deep slumber.
Tumblr media
You woke up to a peaceful sleeping Hoseok. His breath was steady with one arm was slung over your waist. In the end, you ended up being with the boy next door. You felt him move a bit before he finally opened his eyes. He looked at you and warmly grinned.
“Hey there, neighbor.”

prompt: (muggle au or harry never went to hogwarts au) ginny introduces her boyfriend harry to her family
Thanks for sending this!! I legit dont know how this became this long i thought it’d be much shorter lmao but here ya go! I went with Muggle AU
She leaned over and planted a kiss on his clean-shaven cheek. “Ready?” she asked, but did not wait for an answer as she pushed her door open, hopped out onto the street, pushing the car door shut behind her with her hip. She walked around the front of the car and waited for him to get out of the driver’s seat. But he hadn’t moved; his hands were still on the bottom of the wheel.
She knocked on his window. “Uh, Harry? You’re still buckled in, love.” He nodded, taking his seatbelt off, and leaned over to grab the flowers behind the passenger’s side. He finally opened the car door and stepped out slowly. Ginny giggled as she shut the door for him, before turning to straighten his collar and run a hand through his hair. “They’re all going to love you,” she soothed him. “Everything you’ve ever told me contradicts that.” “Mum and Dad will, at least,” she assured him. “Fred, George, and Ron…well, they’re another story.” “That’s who I’m worried about!” “I can handle them if they act up, so don’t. And besides, as I told you before, at least you won’t have to worry about Bill. Just his wife, Phlegm.” Harry smiled just the slightest. “Can you remind me her real name again, please? So I don’t accidentally call her that to her face?” Ginny laughed. “I wish you would. But it’s Fleur. And just remember-“ “-don’t mention Percy,” he finished. “But bring up how I wish I could meet Charlie, who’s in Romania, who was offered a position for Chelsea but turned it down.” “See? You’re gonna knock ‘em dead.” She took his free hand and dragged him towards the door. “Pretty sure that’s what they’re going to do to me,” he muttered, but she ignored him. They reached their destination and Ginny pushed the door open. As they walked in, they could hear Mrs. Weasley scrambling over to them excitedly. She hugged Harry immediately, telling him how happy she was to finally meet him and thanked him for the flowers. She took them from him and let him know how soon dinner would be ready, and that they just needed to wait for Mr. Weasley to return from work, and led him toward the sitting room. There, he saw an assembly line of tall, redheaded men, and one very pretty woman attached to one of them. Bill and his wife introduced themselves kindly before going to help Mrs. Weasley in the kitchen. Then he turned to face the rest of them. From everything Ginny had said about the way her brothers would badger her about her dating life in high school, he assumed they’d be standing there with fists and jaws clenched. To Harry’s pleasant surprise, they all seemed eager to shake his hand and greet him; well, at least Fred and George were, whereas Ron seemed a bit nervous. Harry, who felt prepared, mentioned how he wished he could meet Charlie. But then the conversation quickly turned to football and Liverpool and everything they ever wanted to know about him, Harry Potter, the youngest player to ever be recruited to the Premier League. After a few minutes of answering their questions on the couch, Harry turned to Ginny with a suspicious look. “Did you put them up to this?” “Of course not,” she scoffed. “They’re fans. Can you blame them?” “Right, but I didn’t realize just how much. Why-” “Because,” Fred interjected, a note of amusement in his voice, “she didn’t wanna blow her cover. Did you, sis?” “No clue what you’re talking about,” said Ginny, her eyes throwing daggers at Fred. “We’re a big football family,” George informed Harry. “We all played in school. Ginny, too.” “She was captain of the girls’ team,” Fred added. Ginny rolled her eyes. “He knows that already.” “Yeah,” Harry echoed, still feeling a bit perplexed. “It was a big bonding point for us.” “Ah, yes,” George sighed. “But she must have neglected to tell you that she was practically the president of the Harry Potter fan club for a year before you lot met; rallied us all in.” There was a long pause. Harry turned to his girlfriend, who avoided his eyes, picking lint from her pants. “Not literally,” she murmured. Then Ron finally spoke. “No, just the top poster on the Harry Potter subreddit.” Harry’s jaw dropped as her brothers roared with laughter. He looked at Ginny, and he had never seen her look so mortified. He wanted to ask more questions, but he didn’t want to embarrass her in front of her brothers. However, he didn’t have to. Ginny took matters into her own hands, grabbing Harry and dragging him away from the scene while saying, “Excuse us,” to her brothers as passive-aggressively as she could. She led him up one flight of steps wordlessly, and then let go of his arm, gestured for him to walk into her room, and once he did she followed, kicking the door closed behind her. “Look,” she turned to him, and her face was so brightly flushed that it almost matched her hair. “Yes, I was a huge fan. Yes, I spent an inordinate amount of time on the Harry Potter subreddit watching interviews and highlights and occasionally swooning over your eyes, sue me. But I don’t want you to think I was a stalker or anything. I would never have tried to invade your privacy like that.” “You sure that when we met at the pub you hadn’t tailed me there?” he asked playfully. “Cross my heart,” she swore. “It was just some god up there looking out for me and by happenstance having me be at The Cauldron the same moment in time as my celebrity crush. And besides, you came up to me!”
“For president of my fan club, you played it pretty cool,” he smiled, putting his arms around her waist.
Ginny laughed, sounding almost nervous. “I was dying inside. Absolutely dying. I couldn’t believe my fate.”
“Had you really not even noticed I was there until I came up to you asking if you were saving the seat next to you?” When she shook her head he asked, “What if you had? Would you have come up to me?”
“I definitely would have. And I wouldn’t have played it as cool, either. You probably wouldn’t have fallen in love with me had things played out that way.”
“Of course I would,” he assured her, kissing her forehead. “But why did you never tell me?”
“I mean, I did tell you my brothers and I were fans. I just…downplayed the extent of it.”
“Are you still my biggest fan?” he asked, smiling brightly.
She smiled back, pushing herself up to kiss him on the mouth. “Even more so, now.”
“Did I live up to your expectations?”
“Surpassed them.” He leaned in to kiss her again, and she wrapped her arms behind his neck. “You’re not totally freaked out?” she asked cautiously.
Harry laughed. “No. Makes me feel even more special to you. Makes you more special to me.” And he meant it.
Ginny sighed happily, melting into him. He stroked her hair as he held her, feeling utterly content with her in his arms, his heart swelling as she whispered, “I love you. And not just because you’re a super fit and successful football player. I’m just lucky that you’re those things and as wonderful as you are on your own.”
Harry chuckled. “I love you too,” he declared. After a few long, lovely moments of holding each other, Ginny nudged her head against Harry’s, adjusting them so she could kiss him. Harry kissed her back, his hands roaming up and down her body until Ginny began to giggle against him, pushing him away. “Harry, we’re at my parents’ house.”
He cleared his throat, trying to come back to his senses. “Sorry. Forgot myself a bit there.”
“It was lovely,” she told him, taking his hands and pulling him back to her. “Normally I’d never request for you to keep your hands to yourself. But my dad’s going to be home any second for dinner…save it for dessert at yours, okay?”
“Yes ma’am,” he agreed, wiggling his eyebrows, and at that moment they heard Mr. Weasley walking in through the front door.
“Suppose I’m psychic,” Ginny intertwined her fingers with his and used her free hand to reach for the door. “Well, c’mon, I know Dad is excited to meet you and Mom is excited to feed you. And the boys didn’t interrogate you about whether you’re going to break my heart, or try to pretend like I’m still a child and have never so much as snogged anyone, or-“
“And what exactly were you two doing up there, hmm?” Fred interrupted as they met him and George, sharing twin smirks, at the foot of the stairs.
Ginny groaned. “Spoke too soon.”

Gravity Falls Beyond the Woods Chapter Three
Almost year long hiatus? What almost year long hiatus?
Dipper and Wendy’s daughter prepare for a big day when Wendy gets some news.
Rated T for blood and violence
<-prev next->
The bell rang and the students got and left their sixth grade class for the summer. Two students stood out due to their red hair and height. The two twins were only 12 but could easily pass for 16. Ty and Rose stood a foot above the rest of their peers. Rose was very excited for the summer. Summer meant adventure. Summer meant mystery!
She had grown up listening to stories about her Dad and Aunt Mabel fighting gnomes and solving the mystery of the journals. Now on her twelfth summer, maybe it was her turn. But before that she had other business.
“Mom coming in twenty minutes, I’ll be outside shooting hoops.” Tyrone was much more popular than Rose. While height had made her a bit of a paria among peers outside her friend group, it had made Ty very popular. Star basketball player, big hit with the other boys in school. He has had the gall to have dated several of them all while Rose had never even kissed a boy.
Rose made her way to her locker, where she was greeted by her friends, Grace and Megan. Grace was African-American while Megan was latina. Both were of average height with their classmates, which means they were far shorter than Rose.
“You’re ready for tomorrow?” Grace asked.
“Ah, about as ready as one can be.”
“Come on Rose, we know that you can do it,” Megan said encouragely. Did ya bring the sword?”
Rose blew a raspberry. “The school wouldn’t let me bring it. It’s so stupid. It’s not even sharp.” Tyrone may have the court, but Rose has fencing.
Across the country, a teacher was saying goodbye to her class. Mabel strolled down the classroom, passing rows of kindergarteners. “It’s been a wonderful year, children, I’ll miss you all so much.”
“We’ll miss you too Mrs. Pines-Northwest!” The kids got out of their chairs and rushed over to hug the crying teacher.
After class, Mabel cleaned her face in the bathroom. Damn, saying goodbye was the hardest part of being a teacher. After washing up, she walked out to her sports car, a gift from her wife. The vehicle's black color stood out against the bright background of California wine country. She drove out of the suburbs and into the farmland, music blaring. She passed barns filled with cows, horses, and ostriches.
She reached the vineyards passing rows and rows of grapes. A smile broke out on her face when she saw her house sitting on the hill. She drove up to the gate and punched in the code. Driving up the road, she spotted her loving wife working in the field.
Pacifica was looking at the grapes. The former heiress wore overalls, coated with dirt. She had long stopped bleaching her hair, leaving it her natural dirty blonde. The long locks she wore as a child had been cut down to a pixie cut. The same style she had since college. After parking the car, Mabel got out and greeted Pacifica with a kiss.
“How was the last day of school?”
“Tough. It always is.” Mabel sighed. “Why do the kids move on to a new teacher every year!”
“Now, now. You’ll be just as attached to next year’s class.” Pacifica gave her a hug. “The kids are inside. I’m going to take a bath.”
“Bubble?”
“Of course.”
“Love you.”
As Mabel entered the house, her phone lit up. It was her twin. “Dipper what’s up!” She placed her puse on the kitchen counter.
“Doing alright after saying goodbye?”
“Yeah, how do you deal?”
“Well, I got college students so…”
Mabel blew a raspberry. “You got no soul Mr Pines.” At this moment Stanley walked in, Mabel and Pacifica’s son was five with dirty blonde hair. This was his last summer before he starts Kindergarten. “So, how’s Rosie? Is she excited for the big day tomorrow?”
Stan tugged on Mabel’s dress. “Mommy, I want a cookie.”
Mabel placed her hand over the speaker and turned her attention to her young son. “Mommy’s on the phone, go ask your mother.”
The young boy shrugged. He wandered over to the bathroom. He reached up and opened the door. The boy’s second mother was relaxing in a tub filled with bubbles. “Mom, can I have a cookie?”
Without opening her eyes she said, “Go ask your mother sweetie.”
Young Stan turned around and walked back to the kitchen. “Mommy can I have a cookie?”
“Any plans for the summer… hold on. Go ask your mother honey.”
Stan once again made the track to the bathroom. “Mom I really want a cookie. Can I have one?”
“Go ask your mother.” The blonde replied again.
The boy made his way back to the kitchen and asked, “Mommy can I have a cookie.”
“I told you to ask your mother!” Mabel said a little louder than she intended. If it bothered Stan, he didn’t show it. He just walked back to the bathroom, earning the attention of Ashley whose head peaked out of her room. She was a seventeen year old african-american girl who was Mabel and Pacifica’s foster daughter. She had been living with the Pines-Northwests for a year and a half. She was reading a robotic magazine when Mabel shouting drew her out of her head.
Stan walked into the bathroom asking, “Mom can I have a-”
“GO ASK YOUR MOTHER!”
Rose was standing in front of the school, waiting for both her brother and her mother to come. She wished that her father was coming to pick her up as Mom tended to be a bit.. embarrassing at times. But Dad was a busy important man. She could understand that he couldn’t pick her up everytime. Her thoughts were interrupted by a shrill voice.
“Hey daddy long legs, ready to embarrass yourself tomorrow?”
Rose sighed through her nose. “Hey Margaret,” Rose hissed at the popular mean girl.
Margaret was flanked by her two lackeys. “How much do you wanna bet she trips over her front feet?”
One of the girls next to her laughed, “Yeah, how’s the weather up there.”
Margaret exploded at her friend. “That’s not what we’re talking about Stacy! God, can't you think up something clever? Just shut up Stacy! Just shut up!” The mean girl pinched the bridge of her nose as she tried to calm herself down.
Rose could help but ask, “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.”
“Are you sure?”
“I said I’m fine!”
The girls stood in front of the school unsure what to do now. The awkwardness hung in the air thick. A honk from a large fire truck pulled everyone out of their funk.
Wendy’s head popped out of the window. “Hey Rosie, Mom brought the fire truck.”
Margaret icily said, “Try not to rib off another locker door Mommy’s girl.” She stormed off, leaving her henchgirls to scramble after her.
Rose got in the fire truck, emotionally exhausted. Wendy picked up on something.
“Was that girl picking on you? Do you want me to punch her in her face?”
“Mom! You just can’t punch girls in their face. Can we just get home?”
“Where’s your brother?”
“Around the corner at the basketball court.”
As the Pines family settled in their apartment, Wendy heard her phone go ding. An email from her brother Marcus. They were having a Corduroy family reunion this summer, hosted by their father at Gravity Falls Organ. Great. She sent a reply confirming that she and her brood will attend. At least Rosie will be happy.
And her family wasn’t the only people still in Gravity Falls. She decided to call Tambry.
Tambry answered, “Wendy! How’s my favorite girl?”
“Seeing you soon actually. Can you talk?”
“Yeah, I’m not during anything. What’s up?”
“Dad’s hosting the next family reunion. So I’ll be in town in June.”
“Oof, hosting all those Corduroys sounds like an event.”
“Yeah, our family gathering can get pretty… pretty intense.”
“Too bad I’ll have to miss it. I’m traveling for work all June. In fact I’m in Chicago right now.”
“But didn’t you and Robbie like, just have a baby?”
“That was months ago.”
“Ah what do you do again.”
“I’m an associate statistician for cosmetic sales.”
“And what does that intel?”
“Oh it’s very technical. You properly wouldn’t understand.” Wendy rolled her eyes at that. “Well, I’ll tell Robbie that you and Dipper will be in town.”
Wendy heard gunshots over the phone. She pulled it away flinching. “Tambry are you okay?”
“Oh yeah. The asshole in the room next to mine is watching a movie and he has no idea how sound must work!” Wendy heard a few more gunshots and some sobbing. “I might as well be watching the damn thing myself.”
Tambry hung up the cell phone. Standing in her hotel room, she was wearing a simple suit and tie. What was really out of place was the pistol in her hand. A man knelt before her sobbing. His colleagues were corpses scattered throughout the room. Tambry wasn’t worried about being caught, the seedy motel they were in were far from prying eyes.
“Your country thanks you for your service.”
“Please,” the man croaked. “We did everything you asked…”
Tambry pulled the trigger, blowing his brain all over the room. She makes another call. “They’re dead. Send a clean up crew.”

College AU! Meihem please!
They met up after classes at the little overgrown area between the gym supply sheds, off to the side of the bleachers. Jamie could smell him before he could even see him, a sickly sweet smell in the air and a faint yellow cloud that wafted away into the breeze, coming from the absolutely immense shadowed figure that was sucking a vapor device and leaning against the cement block wall.
“What flavor ya got?” Jamie demanded, not bothering with any sort of greeting. “Gimme some.”
“Go get your own,” Mako replied, exhaling more smoke.
“No wonder you like pigs so much. You’re about as greedy as one,” Jamie snapped, though without much menace. He joined his friend, skulking against the wall and shoving his hands in both pockets. For a long time there silence, before Jamie’s twitching finally got the better of him and he turned with a snarl. “Okay, fine! Ya got me! Yeah, I’m a little out of sorts, I got a problem.”
“Hm.”
“So there’s this...girl...”
Mako sighed, and Jamie shot him another venomous glare.
“Yeah! Her name’s Mei. Chinese transfer student, sits two down from me in Engineering, she’s Advanced Placement and whatnot. And she’s all...ya know? Real goody-goody, prim n’ proper, a bit prissy, kinda snitty too. I mean, she eats salads at lunch, and that’s on barbecue day. Not my type of girl at all.”
“Hm.”
“Exactly! But I still wanna...I dunno. I wanna. Is that crazy? I just really, really wanna. So I kinda...I uh, I may or may not have paid Olivia to hack the randomizer and put us together as a pair for the group project.” Jamie lifted a finger to his lips, biting off a hangnail and spitting it into the grass. “So, sorry mate, gonna need you to fuck off from the dorm this eve just in case I invite her over."
“...Don’t.”
“Wot?”
“Don’t let her see your side of the room.”
Mako frowned and blew more smoke into the air, before finally holding out the dregs of his pen. Jamison snatched it up like lightning, inhaling off it without a moment’s hesitation, and chewing on it despite Mako’s warning grumble.
Jamie ignored him. “What’s wrong with the room? You’re not still mad about stepping on those metal shavings, are you? I cleaned up the blood! And uh, guess maybe my sheets are a bit crunchy. And the old pizza boxes... Okay, could stand a little mucking out, points there. Which is prob’ly gonna take some hours. It’s fine! I can make it work! Maybe get some of those scented candles. Girls like her like candles, don’t they? How about a salad scented candle? Oi, you still got that smooth jazz playlist from when y--?”
A much softer, smaller voice sounded from the other side of the shed.
“Hello?”
“Aw fuck!” Jamie’s eyes bugged as he recognized it, and he inhaled the wrong way and promptly dissolved into a storm of hacking and coughing, exhaling yellow-colored smoke in all directions and nearly falling over. “F-fuck me! Mei!”
“Excuse me?” A much smaller figure in a skirt and university-printed top peeked around the corner, adjusting her glasses shyly. “Um, sorry? I was looking for you.”
Jamie looked up sharply, managing a shaky smile and squinting through watery eyes. His heart thudded much faster and louder, and he wasn’t sure if it was the lack of oxygen or her words. “Ya...ya were lookin’ for--?”
Mei looked right past him to the giant figure lounging in the shadows behind him, shyly twirling a lock of hair around one finger. “Mako Rutledge, the lacrosse team’s star player? They call you Roadhog, right?”
The man in question nodded. “Yeah.”
Jamie glanced between the two, looking like he’d just been shot through the chest.
“Zarya told me all about you! She wanted me to tell you that the team’s meeting on the field a little earlier today. And good luck with the big game. Um, go Razorbacks! Yay!”  Mei said, beaming. Her happy expression faltered, then flattened altogether when she finally seemed to take notice of the still-gasping Jamison, smile turning to frown as she spied the vape still in his hand. “And I am very sorry, but you should not be back here doing that! I could smell it from far away, and what if Coach Morrison catches you? That’s very irresponsible. You could get your friend in big trouble.”
Jamie stared at her, then down at the pen, blinking stupidly.
Mako paused in thought, then looked down at him after a beat, voice flat. “Yeah. Don’t get me in trouble.”
“Wha-! Fff--Ah- I mean, y-- Ffbt-” He sputtered, spittle flying as he started trying to shove the vape pen back into the hand of his roommate, who stalwartly refused to take it. “No! No no no, it ain’t mine! I only- Fuck! God damnit, Roadie, I’ll go ya! I would never--”
“Uhuhuhuh,” Mako rumbled his low chuckle, easily keeping him at bay.
With both hands still firmly on her hips, Mei watched the two fight with disapproval still twisted into her lips, until one brow rose slowly. “Wait a minute... Oh! I’m so sorry, I didn’t even recognize you at first. You’re in my class. You’re... Fawkes, right?”
Jamie froze where he was still locked in mortal combat with his roommate, Mako’s thick arm clamped around his throat. “Uh? Uh, yeah! Jamison Fawkes. Jamie! Call me Jamie! Call me anything!”
“You’re my project partner?” She said, glancing him up and down. “Well, I guess this will be...interesting? Although I’m still not sure about your automatic gatling-style potato gun from that last project? But your mechanical work with those gear designs was amazing!”
He could feel himself grinning again, despite the forearm lodged against his trachea, his voice a gurgle. “Th-thanks, darl!”
“We should get started right away. Maybe I could come over--”
“Can’t.” Mako released Jamie suddenly, leaving him to flop over into the grass. “Need the room tonight. Gotta work.”
For the third time that afternoon, Jamie started choking. He sprang upright, eyes blazing yellow with the fury of a thousand suns, fingers curled into claws and looking ready to launch back onto his erstwhile best mate. But Mei only paused and looked thoughtful, tapping a finger to her chin before smiling again.
“Oh, all right. Then, why don’t you come over to my room instead? I’ve got plenty of supplies and I’ll clear some space for us. I’ll message you my dorm number and a time, okay? I’d better head back. And no more smoking!” She gave them both a little wave, then turned and started trotting back towards the field. “See you later!”
He could feel himself already going gooey in the chest, which he hoped wasn’t from the coughing fits earlier. “Yeah! Yeah! S-see you later, Mei!”
Mako leaned down to pick up his pen, tucking it away. He snorted, looking to Jamie’s lovestruck expression, and prodded him hard in the back. The younger boy stumbled, then seemed to remember the reasons for their battle earlier, his gaze darkening.
“What the fock was that, mate?! Ya coulda done that differently!”
“You’re welcome.”
Jamie promptly turned and socked him straight in the ribs, and the two started fighting again.
