Oh jackal Anubis! Show me the road through darkness. I have passed through this door into nothing. Nothing grows and nothing dies; all that was and would be is.

Quote
I am a child, the seed in everything, the rhythm of flowers, the old story that lingers. Among cattle and fruit sellers, I am air. I am love hidden in a shy maiden's gown. I am the name of things. I am the dream changing before your eyes. I am my body, a house for blood and breath. I am a man on earth and a god in heaven. While I travel the deserts in frail form, while I grow old and weep and die, I live always as a child inside the body of truth, a blue egg that rocks in the storm but never breaks. I sleep in peace in my mother's lap, a child mesmerized by sunlight on the river. My soul is swallowed up by god. Out of chaos came the light. Out of the will came life.

Let's go to ancient Pharaonic Egypt
Pharaonic antiquities refer to the ancient artifacts, structures, and monuments from the time of the pharaohs, These antiquities include The Great Pyramid of Giza,The Great Sphinx ,temples,Abu Simbel,Karnak Temple,Colossi of Memnon,Valley of the Kings,Abydos’ Temple of Osiris,, tombs, and statues that were built during this time period. Life in ancient Egypt was centered around the Nile River, which provided water for drinking, irrigation for crops, and transportation. The ancient Egyptians were skilled farmers who used the annual flooding of the Nile to their advantage. They also developed a complex system of writing, religion, art, and architecture.

High energy celebrations and ritual
Astral projection/travel
Divinations
Cord cuttings
Create a Brigid’s Cross
Gardening (best time to start to plant seeds)
Make resolution(s) and goal(s) for the year ahead (I'll fight to the DEATH about my personal opinion that this is a better time for resolutions than New Years itself. Best time for renewal and goal setting)
Ritual to say farewell to winter
Make bread
Spring clean! It’s the best time for it
Low energy celebrations
Starting a manifestation journal
Burning a bay leaf with manifestation on it
Planning in your planner
Lighting a candle in honour
Make a cup of tea
Practice self care
No spoon celebrations
Prayer
Putting on sun lamp
Greet the sun at sunrise
Rest
How you celebrate the holiday does not matter. You can choose to do any activity that feels right. These are only suggestions and remember that you're enough no matter what.
Also please note some stuff is UPG. A great book is Year of the Witch by Temperance Alden for honouring the celebrations and if you wanted to work more seasonally. It's not wiccan based and has plenty of resources for every witch.

Warnings: death; misogyny

Thebes. The heart of the ancient Egyptian civilisation. The dwelling of Egyptian gods and home to famous pharaohs, priests and priestesses. It is also where our story begins.
Many millennia ago, there lived a beautiful princess, bearing the name Nefret.
After her father’s death, she went on to become the wife of the next pharaoh.
Not only was Nefret a resourceful and wise woman, but the gift of Aset was bestowed upon her, meaning she was a very talented sorceress.
After her husband died, her son was much too young to take over the throne so Nefret stepped in as a regnant until her son was of age.
Nefret, however, soon claimed the throne for herself and she ruled for well over twenty years as one of the few female pharaohs.
Although her reign was a time of prosperity for Egypt, the people were still unhappy with a female ruler inserting herself into the long line of Egyptian male kings.
Twenty years after Queen Nefret died, her name and image were removed from the walls of temples across all of Egypt and many of her statues were destroyed in order to prevent other powerful woman from assuming the throne again.
Being the great sorceress she was, Queen Nefret was still somehow connected to the life on Earth. Being able to see what was happening to her legacy and how her own people humiliated her, she rose from her tomb and unleashed her wrath on all of Egypt.
It was only when the priests of Osiris gathered together that they would put a stop to the torment. After surrounding Queen Nefret, they pierced the linen-wrapped body where her heart would’ve been with her own dagger and spoke an ancient incantation, trapping her spirit in her tomb again.
And so the people of Egypt were at peace once again. As a precaution, the priests of Osiris took the objects that the Queen valued the most from her tomb and scattered them across the world so that she wouldn’t be able to awaken again. A talisman, a book, a dagger and a ring.
However, there still lies the prophecy that speaks of the return of Queen Nefret and as you know, dearest reader, prophecies tend to be fulfilled sooner or later…

Unlocking the Sirian Starseed: Are You One from Sirius?
From Legends to Lore: The Stellar Chronicles of Sirius
Now, our ancestors were also mesmerized by Sirius. Oftentimes, they looked skyward, seeking answers, guidance, or simply wonder.
The ancient Egyptians saw Sirius as Isis, the divine goddess. Joined in cosmic dance with her beloved Osiris. The magic of Sirius’ reappearance right before dawn heralded the bountiful flooding of the Nile. A gift of life, fertility, and hope.
And isn’t life full of synchronicities?
Think of those moments when something keeps showing up. The same numbers, signs, or perhaps, a star? Sirius, with its brilliance, could be one of those spiritual markers, especially for those who resonate with its energy.
From ancient to contemporary, the tales of Sirius have spread.
Could we, as a collective, have been influenced by these Sirian energies throughout history?
Theories suggest that Sirian souls might have incarnated to guide us – in spirit, in technology, in love. It’s a vast, beautiful tapestry of connection.
The Cosmic Dance: Sirian Energies and Earthly Resonance
The universe is, at its core, a vast symphony of energies, frequencies, and resonances. When we think of Sirian Starseeds, we must also consider the energies they carry with them and how these may impact our world.
Could the resonance Sirian Starseeds feel with our planet be the product of an ancient and intricate bond? Some believe that Earth and Sirius share a deep cosmic connection, not just through Starseeds but on an energetic, vibrational level.
This spiritual perspective suggests that Earth receives waves of cosmic energy from the Sirius system, guiding our planet’s spiritual evolution. The periodic alignments between Earth and Sirius, much like the mesmerizing dance between Sirius A and Sirius B, might open channels for these energies to flow.
Sirian Starseeds, attuned to these frequencies, could very well act as conduits, amplifying and grounding these energies into our collective consciousness. This would not only elevate their personal journeys but potentially uplift all of humanity.
What’s even more fascinating is the synchronicity of events and spiritual awakenings that occur when these alignments happen.
Are they mere coincidences? Or do they suggest a greater design, a universal blueprint that we’re just beginning to fathom?
For insights into your personal spiritual evolution and growth, consider reading Spiritual Journey: The Ultimate Guide (From Awakening to Ascension).
Sirian Starseed Symbols and Signs
Cosmic symbols shown in space. Symbols have long been a powerful tool for connection, understanding, and communication. For Sirian Starseeds, certain symbols resonate deeply, serving as beacons of their cosmic heritage and reminders of their mission on Earth.
Sirian Glyphs and Seals Throughout history and in various esoteric traditions, there are glyphs and seals that are said to emanate the energy of the Sirius star system.
The Star: A simple, shining star, often depicted with five points, resonates with many Sirians. It serves as a universal representation of their home star and the light they bring to Earth.
Water Symbols: Given the deep connection many Sirian Starseeds feel with water, symbols like waves, dolphins, or other aquatic lifeforms often serve as reminders of their possible aquatic lineage in Sirius.
Crystal Connections Certain crystals are believed to hold the vibrational frequency of Sirius, assisting Starseeds in connecting with their roots.
spiritual insight and connection to star energies, particularly that of Sirius.
Moldavite: While its primary connection is to the stars in general, many Sirians feel a resonance with this tektite, valuing its transformational energies.
Dreams and Meditative Visions For some Sirian Starseeds, their connection becomes most apparent during states of altered consciousness like dreams or meditations.
Blue Beings: Visions of ethereal beings emanating blue light or having aquatic features might signify a Sirian presence or guidance.
Starship or Cosmic Journeys: Dreams where they are traveling the universe, especially towards a bright star, might indicate a connection to Sirius.
Embodied Reminders The Sirian energy doesn’t only manifest in symbols outside of them but can be present within.
Affinity for the color blue: This could manifest as a favorite color or a color they feel particularly comfortable or powerful wearing.
Pulses or Vibrations: Some Sirian Starseeds report feeling a distinct vibration or pulse when they come into contact with Sirius-related information, symbols, or during specific alignments with the Sirius star system.

Note
I’m a newer player and i’ve been looking through Osiris’ lore more. I remember reading something somewhere saying he’s had visions. can Guardians get visions from the Light, or was that tied to when he was “possessed” by Savathûn?
It wasn't tied to Savathun!
Osiris had "visions" way before that. He claimed that he got them in the Infinite Forest, which is a Vex prediction/simulation engine built inside of Mercury. He received many visions which later got classified as prophecies even though Osiris insisted that they were scientific research he constructed by using the Vex prediction engine. Because they got classified as prophecies, he got a whole cult following fixated around them which led to his exile because the prophecies were causing chaos in the City.
The problem with Osiris' claim about the visions being from the Infinite Forest is that Osiris only entered the Infinite Forest after he was exiled. And he was exiled for the prophecies. So he already wrote his prophecies down before ever entering the Forest.
Furthermore, the Infinite Forest is a Vex prediction engine and the Vex cannot simulate paracausality, aka the Light. Which means that Osiris could not have received the the prophecies involving the Light from the Forest either. This is explicitly also mentioned as a problem here:
There's just one thing: if Osiris used the Infinite Forest to develop his prophecies, and the Infinite Forest cannot accurately simulate Light, how did Osiris predict the Traveler would wake? The Forest's very inability to predict this very thing is what prevented Panoptes from breaking ground with its apocalyptic calculations. I must assume: 1) Either verse 5 does not refer to the Traveler's awakening, or 2) Osiris has prophetic resources at his disposal other than the Forest. What they are I have no idea.
We essentially don't know how he got the visions. To make things more complicated, there's the comic of which the third part is in a physical edition only so you'll have to check out these scans. Sagira asks him this very same question: how did he make the first batch of prophecies? Osiris dodges the question like a pro, then appears to fall into a trance and starts reciting yet another prophecy on the spot, seemingly without being aware of what he's doing while Sagira is trying to get his attention. The prophecy he makes here is just a prediction of what will happen in Warmind and Forsaken. For the record, this one does take place while he's in the Forest, but the way it happens is just super bizarre and Sagira is also very confused by it as well.
Osiris is 100% unique in this way. No other Guardian has ever really experienced anything similar. Even when the Young Wolf received visions from the Traveler in the Red War, it wasn't really a prophecy or anything like that, it was just one vision to tell us where to go. Osiris received hundreds of these, from an unknown source. There's a possibility that they might be from the Light or the Traveler as well and that Osiris just isn't fully aware of that.
We have some of the prophecies in the game: Garden Progeny 1 (very peculiar, seems to be referring to what we previously believed was proof of the Unveiling story, now possibly referring to the idea presented by both Ahsa and Chioma Esi in Veil Logs that the Traveler and the Veil used to be one entity), The Conqueror 2 (start of the Red War), Jack King Queen 3 (the Vanguard leaders fight the war, YW standing out), Machina Dei 4 (Light returns), Traveler's Judgment 5 (Traveler awakens and defeats Ghaul), Sol Pariah 6 (unknown), West of Sunfall 7 (unknown), Infinite Paths 8 (unknown, most likely something about the Vex), Null Calamity 9 (unknown), Future Safe 10 (unknown), Perfect Paradox (Saint's return). Trying to interpret these is incredibly tough as we simply don't know if the plot points they're predicting are still envisioned the same as they were when these were written over 5-6 years ago. Only madness lies from here going forward.
But yeah, a lot of text for me to say that we have no clue. We do know that they're not in any way related to what happened with Savathun though, as Osiris' prophecies predate that by decades or even centuries.

THE ARCHETYPE OF RESURRECTION - part 1
The archetype of resurrection is a religious motif where a god (or goddess) who died is later resurrected. It originated in the ancient religions of the Near East and it's linked to the fertility rites that occurs during spring. Famous examples are Osiris, Adonis, Dionysus and Jesus.
The exact extent and characteristics of this archetype are still under debate, however there's a consensus about the fact that there's a pattern in mystery religions and derived cults in which a god dies, is lamented and retrieved from a woman and restored to life.
One example is the figure of the Kresnik from Slavic folk religion, that is centered around rites that propitiate fertility and themes of death and rebirth, symbolizing the generativity of nature in a broad sense. The old word Kres indicates "fire" and "sun" but also broadly the awakening of both nature and man and shares the same root as the Greek for "Young man" and "Ceres", the Roman and Greek goddess of fertility, in fact in folklore the Kresnik's victory is usually followed by a rain of golden wheat.
It's linked to the pre-Christian myth of Božit, son of God, who appears on St. George's day to revive vegetation and make the wheat harvest plentiful, as well as the rituals of Jarylo and Zeleni Jurij, that celebrate the yearly return and marriage of the god of vegetation and fertility who marries his sister and is periodically born and then dies.

Quote
As if I'd slept a thousand years underwater I wake into a new season. I am the blue lotus rising. I am the cup of dreams and memory opening--I, the thousand-petaled flower. At dawn the sun rises naked and new as a babe; I open myself and am entered by light. This is the joy, the slow awakening into fire as one by one the petals open, as the fingers that held tight the secret unfurl. I let go of the past and release the fragrance of flowers. I open and light descends, fills me and passes through, each thin blue petal reflected perfectly in clear water. I am that lotus filled with light reflected in the world. I float content within myself, one flower with a thousand petals, one life lived a thousand years without haste, one universe sparking a thousand stars, one god alive in a thousand people. If you stood on a summer's morning on the bank under a brillant sky, you would see the thousand petals and say that together they make the lotus. But if you lived in its heart, invisible from without, you might see how the ecstasy at its fragrant core gives rise to its thousand petals. What is beautiful is always that which is itself in essence, a certaintly of being. I marvel at myself and the things of earth. I float among the days in peace, content. Not part of the world, the world is all the parts of me. I open toward the light and lift myself to the gods on the perfume of prayer. I ask for nothing beyond myself. I own everything I need. I am content in the company of god, a prayer that contains its own answer. I am the lotus. As if from a dream, I wake up laughing.

so for context, i live off of disability payments and thus don't have a lot of extra money to spend. additionally, i'm unable to look at books online due to a vicious struggle to read and digest texts/paragraphs on screens, which is why i often turn to physical books.
for someone (me) who's desperately trying to find good resources to assist in his practice of kemetism, what would be your best book recommendation? i can only buy about one book once every 2 weeks, so any recommendations on where i should go next would be super duper appreciated! ideally, i want to read a lot of books, but i have to be slow due to my income. currently i've been eyeing:
temple of the cosmos
awakening osiris: egyptian book of the dead
the ancient egyptian prayer book
red land, black land
eternal egypt
sekhmet's servant
but again, i don't know which one to devote to buying/reading first. i've finished the complete gods and goddesses of ancient egypt, so i don't need that one recommended. but any means of help would be... really appreciated. please don't be ableist on this post either, i literally struggle to read pdfs so bad and listening is hard too re: audiobooks, i just can't do it digitally in any form.

@fiirecracker said
"are you still with me?" rohan's voice breaks the silence that has settled across the pouka pond as the cloudstrider slowly makes his way across the room. it is the first time he's been allowed the leave medical since the incident at the radial mast. though his ribs throb and his insides feel as though they've jelified, he pushes through. he must. it seems their guest is still present. "i'd've thought you long gone by now."
Tumblr media
" rohan. " his attention shifts from the assorted datapads and old tomes he's immersed himself in. osiris wasn't expecting to see the elder cloudstrider already up and about. but... he knows the feeling intimately. he hardly allowed himself rest in the ebb of his awakening. entering a world so different after such a short time, there was so much catching up he had to do. so much more he had to do in preparation for the witness.
he's glad for rohan he needn't experience such a discrepancy as he did.
" it is good to see you active... i do not know when i will leave neomuna, admittedly. i have yet to understand the veil's purpose in the grand scheme of things. your people have been accommodating me. "
