Knowing “Nerdy Prudes Must Die” was the first idea the Lang brothers had for Hatchetfield makes the whole series so much funnier.
Like, did they know in “The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals” that the weirdo who demanded a hot chocolate would be the leading man of the high school horror show?
Did they know the prude they mentioned a few times would be a homophobic murderer who defiled a corpse, fucked a ghost, and became a vessel for dark lords?
Was the homeless man joke in BEFORE the recast because they were still brothers, or not?

I’m fine with the parody classics like fallen kingdom. or things like the creeper rap. like any red-blooded hermitcraft fan I cheer for hermitgang. several elybeatmaker remixes are bangers—resource gathering is my personal favorite but like, I listen to several of those for fun. empires the musical is so earnest and I genuinely love the whole thing and will plug it at any opportunity. I listen to all of the redacted hills sings joe hills albums and know those lyrics better than the “real” ones in many cases. wels’s two hermitcraft raps are fine and his flow is like, legitimately decent in them. I will listen to any of THESE fine. what is the blocker with hermit fam. is it genuinely just that impulse sets off my latent “oh god dad stop” instincts. I am twenty-six why do I even have those,

Love the idea of a twenty-one year old Eddie Munson getting a job at the liquor store and being absolutely unwilling to sell alcohol to nineteen year old Steve Harrington but still completely willing to sell him weed.
Also love the thought of Steve rolling up to the liquor store with a fake ID in a town where everybody knows who he is and being shocked that it doesn’t work this time.
