You and Rocket have known each other for a very long time, Even before the guardians were formed. You both have similar backgrounds, falling victim to the high evolutionary's experiments. When you two escaped counter-earth, you only had each other to rely on.

One of the things that you normally do to sort of calm yourself down but in a way to help Rocket is you groom your nails through his fur. Just to help tidy it up a bit before bed. This was no different tonight.

Once you finished your tasks and washed your fur, You slipped into your pyjamas and went to go find Rocket, Finding him working hard on a project. Knowing that once Rocket was working on a project he would never come out of it. So you walked over and began to groom the back of his head, He tensed up a little before relaxing once he realised it was you.

"Please... It'll still be here tomorrow" You pleaded once more as you looked at him, giving your almost puppy eyes to tell him.

Soon he sighed as he put the gadget down and hopped down from the bench. "Alright alright fox" He chuckled. The two of you nuzzled your muzzles against each other before fist bumping. "Goodnight Rocky" You then moved to the shared bunk bed you had.

Rocket usually had his own ways of showing his affection for his best friend, when you were falling asleep, he would climb up to the top bunk where you are and curl up to you, which you instinctively do as well. laying their, cuddled up drifting off to a peaceful sleep.

She's from a completely different planet, they could have done so much with this but she just... fits in just like that? I know that later there's some stuff about her wanting to stay with the SK and learn the Breath but... it just feels weird to have none of that development when she actually joins the team

Y'know I feel like they could have done more with this whole mixed flux thing, like found more creative ways for the team members to work together. So far, nothing would change if the tournament was still single flux, well except Lun-Zia

Sinedd saying the Shadows will win bc they've always been a mixed flux team – I mean I guess mixed species but not flux as Sinedd had to learn the Smog. But also I'm gonna take the chance to give the Shadows points for inclusivity because they seemed to have no problem mixing the team up even before this tournament

I wonder if there was a taboo against that due to the flux wars not being that long ago, I mean the teams are already like our national football teams so most would only want to play for their planet, but it's gotta be even weirder if you switch teams and there are still tensions between your people. So this mixed flux tournament could have been a big political moment if the show explored that side more.

Ok the shading on the characters is bothering me, was it always so dark in the previous seasons? They look like they're always standing infront of a bright light.

i previously answered this question and mentioned jaide's inclusion with gold but in here i can absolutely see her being relevant to the ruby/sapphire AND oras story :3 i cant say for r/s yet because i have to reread it AKSLDLKKSS BUT FOR ORAS (its still so fresh in my mind) she's definitely important to the story because zinnia is present. zinnia has done super risky things to both ruby and steven and i can totally imagine jaide having to step up and confront zinnia for bothering her family... she's a usually passive person but she crosses the line if it puts her husband and son in danger.

10. how do the other characters feel about your self insert and f/o’s relationship?

i realized i didn't mention josep.h stone when i answered this previously but i think he's quite happy to see his son finally finding a nice lady. i feel that joseph couldn't see steven as the perfect heir to his business not until he has been partnered with someone because it's like, he's fully understood and matured. and he has a son too. though i feel that joseph would want ruby to follow next in line for the de.von corp stuff but steven respects his son's hobbies and aspirations and would probably not force him to be like. the family stones yk ... if that makes sense! josep.h is polite to jaide, maybe spoils her a bit and recalls embarrassing baby steven memories AKSLFKDJKDD

when they were kids, she supported red and blue's journey to the indigo league! she wasn't entirely present in their journey but red and blue would always make trips back home to palle.t town to share their progress with her (they kinda feast on her compliments they get ego boosted fr) i don't think? she's that aware of tea.m rocket's deeds up until the gen 2 story? since ethan is associated with team ro.cket too and she actually became a trainer from there so she's willing to help!

I could literally see Team Rocket at the village trying to steal the other Madrigals Pokémon mainly the Legendary Pokémon, as they are doing retcon they see how abulea Madrigal treats Mirabel that sets off red flags in them.

James coming from a rich family that prioritizes on ‘being perfect’ and caring in front of other people just to keep up appearances James is the most horrified along with Jessie and Meouth (probably spelled his name wrong).

Because even though they didn’t know that Mirabel was in the same situation that James was in back then, at least he escaped and is happy, while their enemy is stuck in a toxic environment.

Oh yeahhhhh I forgot about James’ backstory. It’s actually so sad, honestly all of Team Rocket is just sad <\333 BUT YEAH. He can definitely relate to that, seeing that his family was pretty high up there and cared a lot about appearances. They didn’t tend to James, at least no emotionally. But he’s got Jessie and Meowth‼️‼️ He’s not happy with the Madrigals’ behavior, but it doesn’t take him long to realize that a lot of them are victims of this and he realizes that Alma is the perpetrator 😕

good things this week:

my BOY my GUY my MAN Joey Daccord had to step up and play two games for the Kraken this week and he did SO GOOD Y'ALL! it was unexpected on two levels, first that it would be him getting the callup instead of Driedger and second that he would actually get the start over Jones, and he made the absolute most of the opportunity—one of the postgame talking heads was a bit of an ass about the first one because he let in four, but Hakstol understood the circumstances (one extremely weird double bounce no goalie could have done anything about, two 6-on-5 situations our guys were not defending well) and sang his praises, and we won anyway. then the second one we lost in a shootout, but the only one he let in during regulation was a rebound off a killer initial save and then he went absolute beast mode in OT, just unbelievable. there's always gonna be a Mike Smith-shaped hole in my soul, but Daccord obviously idolized the guy when he was at Arizona State and plays so much like him that watching him really feels a little like coming home <3

really enjoyed this week's Ted Lasso ep, especially (spoiler warning) the part where Jamie sees Roy and Keeley leaving in two different directions and it's set up to make you think he's gonna go after Keeley to hit on her now that she's single again but instead HE GOES AFTER ROY to ineptly attempt empathy and hugs <333

listened to Debby Friday's debut album four times yesterday and three times so far today, I am so so so so into it

after some disappointing incidents with NHL pride nights, something cool happened with my local junior league team, the Thunderbirds—they didn't have an official pride night planned this season, so the fans just... made one happen themselves! the T-Birds have the only out gay player in the WHL, Luke Prokop, and EVERY SINGLE PLAYER used rainbow stick tape during warmups for this UNOFFICIAL pride night in support of their teammate, AND some of them kept the tape during the game. which, listen, I use Pride tape myself, but only on parts of the stick I don't have to handle the puck with, because real talk it is some crappy-ass tape, and any serious hockey player would know that just from touching it, so these guys were basically saying that supporting their teammate was more important to them than being good at hockey, and I just have a whole lot of feelings okay

Dallas has a goalie named Jake Oettinger whose nickname is Otter and he has lil cartoon otters painted on his goalie mask, which delighted both rocket bae and my mom (both big otter fans)

I started explaining what was going on during a Kraken game to Steph and she was like "I understood the goalie interference part" I'm so proud <3

I cut my hair and it feels very nice to not have all that shagginess on my neck

got two of the other Lammy-nominated anthologies from the library and they're both so impressive! (also both extremely different from each other and from Xenocultivars, doesn't really seem fair to compare us all tbh, but I guess that's just how it goes with awards)

rearranged my room to bring in a comfy chair and in the process found the fucking laptop I was 100% convinced must have gotten stuck in with rocket bae's stuff in storage because I had looked absolutely everywhere, including the place it actually was at least 3 times *eyeroll* but it has been found, hallelujah

made salted millionaire's shortbread and I'm gonna go bring some to a few local friends sometime this weekend, love sharing food with my people :)
