I'm working on my next oc set rn (as always) and this one is going to be the first, like, trinary guild to have more than 8 characters on account of twins sharing a spot lol

#they're actually replacing a different character i felt didn't really work well lol #my concern so far is to not design every single character to have a blue color scheme since they're naval themed #I'll have to like work around it for some. some blue as highlights maybe #shades of green or ourple #at least one character will have a red and orange color scheme and I don't want them to stand out too much also #I'll figure it out lol #anyway the secondary guilds have 10 characters. and the knights have 14. obvs the main one has the most at 31 #i feel like you can assume theres more members of those guilds beyond what i show. theyre just not all as relevant lol #bc having 30+ for a side side guild would be sort of pointless and detract more than add #but a lot of them are big guilds so. i think you can assume theres more than 8 that just happen to pop up around the main characters lol #also anyone who wants to play with ocs like dolls could make their own characters for those side guilds and it will not mess w the story #even come up w relationships to other characters and say we just dont see them for the same reasons. not relevant to the main bunch #bc even tho i have a lot of fun w the more gimmicky side characters focusing on them too much would take away from the main guys #thats part of why they have to be gimmicky to stand out too. not as much focus to give them like detailed backstories and hypothetical arcs #so you get the gist of them based on what their Thing is and they can stand out w that #like i dont want them to be too intrusive. but i want them to have character! #not just bland extras and all. if they were i wouldnt keep drawing these sets for them #i have too much fun designing them to do that! #anyway after this current set (cobalt heart) ill only have 2 left #and one of them is actually on the smaller side! the timber scouts only have 5 characters #w similar outfits so they shouldnt take as long i think? also 4 of them are children #then is tartarus which will probably take longer but im really stoked for them #especially pluto. and deimos and phobos and juliet (dumbass duo and their fucking babysitter) #i also have some solo characters i wanna do too #i for sure have to do the royals . and some historical characters maybe #but i want atlas to be the last one i draw. my insane guy who tried to claw his own eyes out because he saw it #i wonder what the next phase will be after i finish everyone tho

Happy Mountain March, have some Murder Ghoul Mountain!

Every year, at the beginning of spring, Mountain receives a list of siblings from Sister Imperator. Brothers and Sisters who have broken the tenets of the church, been disobedient, or otherwise lost their right to serve and reside at the abbey. Never more than five a year, but it's always enough.

Every year, he arranges a nice lunch for them in a lovely clearing in the forest, an idyllic little spot that you can only find if you know where it is. The Siblings (two Brothers and a Sister this year) get their invitations and of course they're thrilled - what an honor, to be treated to something so exclusive!

What a shame that the excitement dulls their sense of wariness - if it didn't, maybe they'd notice the gentle wash of magick that hits at the edge of the forest. A trap set for the unsuspecting wanderers, one that douses them in a specific blend of pollens masterfully crafted for these occasions. Designed to dull the mind, to make them complacent and stupid, even for humans.

Prey.

They arrive together, finding a lovely picnic style spread laid out for them. Mountain stands nearby, masked but with a gentle smile on his face. He even bows to them, a sweeping gesture, and guides them to sit. They do, of course. They all know Mountain, the gentle giant responsible for refreshing the greenery planted around the abbey. The one they see working the orchards and puttering around in the greenhouse, always quiet and never threatening despite his size.

They take in the spread before them - individual salads topped with nuts and seeds, fresh fruits and cheeses, little chocolatr tarts topped with edible flowers and glasses of something fizzy at each place. None of them bother saying thank you before they dig in, too affected by the mind numbing pollen and their rumbling bellies, and they all miss the way Mountain's eyes flash.

He hovers at the edge of the gathering, watching like a hawk while they stuff their faces with little elegance. Chugging their sparkling wine, shoveling food down and barely chewing. He has all the patience in the world when it comes to this particular event, and not even their increasing lack of table manners could make him look away. It never lasts all that long anyway - all he needs them to finish is the salad.

The final Brother wolfs down the last of his portion, fork abandoned in favor of his filthy human hands, and while it makes him grimace Mountain ends up with eager butterflies in his stomach anyway. It's time for his favorite part.

He moves to stand before them, snaps his fingers, and like a pack of dumb dogs they look up at him. The Sister has a smear of berry juice on her cheek, one Brother has a mess of something he can't identify crushed into the front of his habit, and the other one is busy sucking his fingers clean. Mountain can't help his sneer - it doesn't matter now anyway, if they see his disdain. They don't have the brainpower left to notice it anyway. The butterflies in his belly pick up the pace.

He addresses them one by one, walking slow circles around the trio while he rumbles their respective misdeeds. As he does, he lays hands on them. Nothing major - casual passes of his hands on their shoulders, the backs of their necks. Subtle things that only add to the distant looks on their faces. They're far too lost to feel the sparks that sink into their skin with every brush of his callused fingers, and as each of their eyes begin to sparkle the most unnatural shade of green.

The Sister is the first to grab her stomach, to loose a pained hiss, and Mountain grins.

The others are quick to follow, and soon enough they're all curled up and writhing on the blanket. Kicking out and breaking plates and glassware, clutching at their clothes and gasping for breath. Mountain crouches as he watches them suffer, dragging his fingers through the soft grass of the forest floor with a serene smile on his face. Listening to the creak of new growth blooming inside them, a sound that only an earth ghoul could pick out, provided by the seeds they'd all so willingly shoved down their greedy gullets. Growth spurred by his power, by the spark of life that will, soon enough, steal theirs.

The Sister makes a bizarre croaking sound, and Mountain delights at the sight of the first green vine snaking its way out of her gaping mouth. Sprouting buds and leaves already, it isn't alone for long - a dozen similar ones join it in short order, forcing her jaw wide and her eyes wider. The Brothers follow suit, choking around the winding growth filling their throats, and as they stare at him with pleading eyes all Mountain can do is give them a wink.

The first blossom blooms at the corner of one Brother's mouth, a collection of brilliant blue petals in perfect health. The first of many, different for each Sibling, but soon enough all three of them will become little more than hosts. Vines curling around their limbs while the light fades from their eyes, flowers blooming as their struggle through their last breaths. A beautiful sight, Mountain thinks - three measly human lives traded for countless others.  He relishes their final, shuddering sighs - sounds that will live in the back of his mind until next year.

When they're gone, he can get to work at last.

Each of their overgrown bodies has a destination:

The Brother growing those lovely blue flowers, along with lush leaves and one particularly stunning white lily (which Mountain will pluck and set aside as a gift for Sister Imperator), will land in the greenhouse fertilizer pile. Destined to be broken down into a nutritious mulch that will enrich every potted plant Mountain can manage.

The Sister, sprouting wild grasses, thistles and buttercups, will be planted in the center of the peach orchard. Her body will feed the trees and the bees alike, enriching the soil and encouraging the fruit there to grow fat and sweet.

The final Brother, coated in thick ivy and tiny white blossoms, will be gifted to Ivy at the hidden cottage she shares with Terra and Pebble. He's not allowed to know what they do with the body, despite how many years he's been doing this, but Ivy is the only one entrusted with the upkeep of Primo's rose gardens so he doesn't have much room to argue. One day Mountain will convince her to let him in on those particular secrets, he's sure of it, but until then he's little more than a delivery ghoul.

He's left feeling very accomplished, once the heavy lifting is done. Knowing that his plants will remain healthy, their harvests bountiful, and that he'll earn a pat between the antlers from Sister Imperator for his efforts.

That's not all he gets for his troubles, of course.

To their credit, no one ever asks why the sacrifices are missing their hearts.

i keep seeing posts lately saying how not everyone is a ‘fashion person’ and sometimes people like to just dress boring and not everyone wants to find their own original unique style etc etc etc and like. while part of me completely agrees i do wanna just chime in with something ..

ok so.. as a person who wears lots of silly outfits and enjoys and works in fashion, i don’t think anyone ever dresses boring at all.. for example you see someone wearing a basic stripe sweater and some cords or whatever, sure ok, to some that’s just a ‘boring outfit’.. but idk, it’s not really though.. it’s still a good and interesting outfit because it’s showing (to me) an insight of that person even in just a tiny way.. the stripe sweater might just be a stripe sweater but they chose it (and if not - as in it was a gift - they still chose to wear it that day), like maybe the stripes are all their favourite colours or someone made it for them or they made it for themselves or maybe they just like how soft the wool is or whatever like there’s so many possibilities but they LIKE IT for some reason !! .. and the cords like, okay they’re just cords but they decided to get and then wear cords over any other trousers, that’s something like what made them decide on cords ?? was it just because they’re comfy ? probably yeah but also there’s the colour option and if they rolled the cuff up etc etc !! and if it was jeans oh boy.. i never wear jeans, i don’t own them, i do not like them (on me obvs) but even i know how difficult it is to find the right kind of jeans for each person, because there’s so many styles and different washes and people are gonna want ones that fit different and want different colour washes etc like there’s soooo many options with jeans and you are deciding to pick the ones you pick, even if you don’t think about it much and just pick whatever, you’re still making that choice ! you still picked them for some kind of reason, you wouldn’t wear something you dislike (i hope lol) so you ARE still expressing yourself in some kind of way no matter how small and if you realise it or not.. and idk. i just think that’s nice :-)

also.. the amount of time i’ll tell someone i like their whatever they’re wearing and they tell me something about it.. like if they found it super cheap in a vintage shop or if they made it or if it’s really soft or if it used to be their dads or if they just love that shade of green a lot or if it’s got a hidden pocket or if it’s not even theirs but their partners or whatever !! and yeah, sometimes people will just say thank you (and that’s cool too duh like i’m not complimenting people to get outfit details obviously) but there is always something if they share it or not... there’s always something if they are aware of it or not . your ‘boring outfits’ aren’t boring, because you as an actual human with a life of your own and preferences and interests of your own isn’t boring. idk … i’m rambling a lot now so i’ll leave it there .. <3

I'm really REALLY obsessed with how you colours!! Do you have spesific steps or you just wing it? What would be a good tip you'd recommend if one want to replicate the colouring style you're doing?

Sorry if I asked too much, I just admire how you colours but I had no idea how you do it, it's so cool!!

Honestly if we talking about how I shade/ render then I have no idea. I do what god tells me to

But to pick my colors I can tell a few!

Disclaimer: this isn’t a tutorial, it’s just a v bad explanation of how I do my stuff, please don’t attack me with professional color theories bc I don’t know what I’m doing

1) obvs I don’t use default eye straining colors for the whole drawings. Colors that I want to use I always bring ‘em down a few shades darker, so it’s more pleasing to look at

2) don’t use pure black & white (Well maybe you can I don’t make the rules)!! If you’re gonna use duller colors like I do then it’s definitely gonna look weird. With black simply just use darker tones of any hues, personal favorites are green & brown

3) go crazy with it, desaturated colors are nice but it’s not as striking if I don’t add sth that grasp the attention of others eyes. When I color I always keep balanced colors. If you want smaller details to be noticeable then slap brightness to it. If your drawing is alr very saturated you can just replace darker shades to places you don’t want people to pay attention to 🤷 same stuff goes with warm and cool colors

4) complementary, triadic, tetradic, etc are the goats. Basically they’re hues that sit opposite or near to each other in a color wheel, you can search more of that on Google. Some colors may look shit together but when you find the right values/ brightness they’ll be the one for each other

So in conclusion im not sure what you’re asking for in my coloring style. Normally in doodles I just eyeball it until it looks good, but in serious drawings I pick colors like that, you can still apply that to how you shade your art so I don’t think I need to explain that since I shade the majority with black beforehand 💀

we’re all aware of the dark side of the music industry..the pressures and struggles that come with fame. Behind our favorite celebrities; singers, rappers and actors alike are a world of struggle or pain that led them to create the art they put on display for us to see..at some point or another, there are battles they fight everyday that us as average fans aren’t aware of. Not that we’re owed any obligation to them outside of the public space, but we can’t help but worry. This all rings true for rapper and renowned artist Eren Jaeger, EJ The Don..whatever you choose to call him.

No matter how many loving, adoring fans screamed his name, friends he kept by his side, women he hooked up with and chains he purchased, it could never drown out the pain that plagued his heart. “You’ve traveled the world..seen it all and performed in front of millions. You’re one of the world’s most famous rappers and most respected producers in the game. At this point in your career, is there anything that you look back on and say ‘I regret this’ or ‘I wish that hadn’t happened’…are you happy?” the question shot to him by an interviewer sitting adjacent..a single camera lens focused in on his face in front a clear white background. In a very rare exclusive, the artist sat down with XXL to reflect on his early come up and what they could expect in the future. A loaded question he wasn’t quite ready to answer yet..still, those infamous green eyes; glossed over by the euphoria of marijuana and covered by designer shades, brown hair tucked behind his ear as he released a sigh. Paranoid that he’d become the next victim of a setup, leaving his family, friends and fans to grieve and mourn..it was that paranoia that had him hurled over a toilet, throwing up after downing lean to drown out his hurt. To hear the constant voices that never quite went away, ringing in his head. Whether it was the delusions of his dead friends, comments made by some random who swore they knew his life; plagued by the memories of being coerced into sex before he was old enough to buy alcohol from women who had no business with him, but knew he wanted to make it big or his subconscious saying to end it all..that he’d no longer feel guilt, sadness, anger…all of the emotions that kept him up at night. The ones that refused to let him sleep and nearly made him do something stupid. Lying next to his beloved (y/n) as you dozed peacefully..the many of nights he contemplated leaving because he’d never want to bare you with the burden or trauma of finding his body because he followed in the footsteps of his fallen brothers. He loved you so much that he couldn’t ever dream of causing you that type of pain. You’d never understand what he felt and he didn’t want you to..he wanted you to remain blissfully ignorant to what went through his mind. But when he stood on the balcony leading out of your shared bedroom..glaring aimlessly to the ground below, he wanted to put a stop to it all. That was until he felt the gentle touch of your hand spreading across his bare chest..arm wrapping around his torso with your head pressed to his back. Entangled in your warm embrace and love, like a wilting rose trapped within its vines trying to save it. Hearing you whisper in the faintest voice.. “it’s okay, I’m here..you don’t have to do it alone.” It was then that he realized, you knew. You knew his pain, his sorrow and still, you remained..ready to carry those burdens with him. Turning around to sob into your shoulder and apologize as you both sank to your knees and you held him close. Having that safe space to fall apart and be pieced back together by the love of his life…it was then that he could finally..truthfully answer:

“Yeah..I’m happy.”

Now, tbh in terms of Ozzie I'm lowkey pretty fine with his vibe of being this giant, fluffy demon based (mostly?) on a rooster, along with his general color palette (deep blue body, cyan hair/mane, vibrant green in his eyes/mouth)... though I'd say the one thing that bugs me is his weird neck/limb proportions? .x.

Like, whenever we see the guy outside of his suit (ex. when he's first waking up in "Oops") he's obv meant to be a muscular fella (+lowkey on the "thicc" side too lol)

-But then the rest of the time we see Ozz, his limbs just get squished down to some standard noodle shape as most other HB dudes (not even looking properly attached to his torso for some reason?) which is just... wut-

Soooo ye, my first order of business would be to thicken up his legs/arms (+neck) to match better with his bod, tone the standard red from his colors to more of a cool-toned/maroon-shade (since the bright neon purple/pink-vibe he had in "Ozzie's" always looked gorgeous ngl~), maaaaybe switch his scraggle-mouth to a more “Lustful” lip style, and then outfit-wise... yeah I'm just gonna ditch out the top hat/suit combo 'cause we see wayyy way too much of that, I'm sorry glhjkjk 😭

Perhaps instead his attire could be based more around a Burlesque Dancer/Drag Queen-mix, aesthetic-wise? 🤔 Idk, either that or perhaps just stylizing his suit a lil more to fit his Ring/club-room, hmmm…

Okay so obv pch is never coming back but because I loved the summer beachy vibe I’m making a wave 2 for my own benefit 😌

First of all, we should have gotten pch twins like hello every other school got a two pack of twins? The twins are navy blue sailor stripe and mermaid iridescent girls, maybe navy has a pixie cut w nylon hair (always mad about Avery lol), mermaid has long wavy hair ofc. Mermaid girl also comes w a tail of COURSE w regular swimsuit bottoms underneath.

As for the actual second wave, I really liked how w1 included a rainbow high character! If they did a second wave I feel like it would end up being amaya bc duh, but bc this is my pch2 it’s gonna be Gabi or Sheryl. Whichever isn’t in w2 is in w3!

The other six dolls:

Coral red! HOW was this not in w1?? Coral red would be beach sporty, with cornrows (more protective hairstyles please!), a hibiscus print rash guard, hibiscus board shorts, slide sandals, sport sunglasses, and a visor. She also comes with either a surfboard like Finn or a boogie board.

Valencia Orange! When I think of summery warm colors of course I think of orange. Early aughts vibe, Valencia orange has two big orange Afro puffs (similar to jh krystal), an orange slice hair clip, a bright orange one piece, a scalloped orange cover up dress, and orange cork platform sandals. She’s also definitely got the y2k orange translucent sunglasses.

Sunshine yellow! Again, how was this not in w1? Sunrise, sunset, but no noon time directly overhead sunshine? Sunshine yellow would be non-binary bc again, it’s my line and I get to make the rules lmao. They’d have a soft mop of short blond hair, a muscle tee w a big sun, sun print board shorts, a big yellow sunhat, and yellow Birkenstocks.

Human!Rise Turtles AU… with a twist

Okay so I’ve had this idea for a while but like

Human!rottmnt but they’re not… completely human. Like they can pass with clothes but if you pay attention you can tell they aren’t human

Also plz don’t steal my idea… if you want to draw this or add to it plz give credit… it’s like my baby now

They all still have shell-like things on their backs, it’s just more stuck to their bodies like a second really hard skin. There’s like a bit of it that goes a bit higher than where their shoulders stop and the way the hard skin grows makes the skin almost grow like scutes, so they fall out and are replaced by bigger ones as they grow

Maybe raph has spikes on his shoulders/back, where his spikes are already

Donnie’s is soft (cause he’s a soft shell obv) and he still needs a battle shell

Mikey and Leo have the same pattern on their backs that they do already, just their shells are just a slightly different shade than their skin, so the blue and yellow stand out

This shell or hard skin can easily be covered up with clothing, even on their shoulders it’s not much of a problem. Raph has a small problem with his spikes on his back but Donnie make covers for his so he could wear cool clothes still

Their skin looks dry at first glance but if you examine it it’s much closer to scales than skin. Maybe it’s very slightly green but I’m not totally set on that

Obviously they’re half black and half Japanese

They’re a bit taller than what I think they are in canon (I don’t remember their exact heights) at 16, Leo and Donnie are around 5’9, at 17 Raph is 6’3 and Mikey at 15 is like 5’5

Leo has vitiligo (again obviously) over his eyes and on his arms and legs and I’m thinking he has red birthmarks over his eyes too, not perfectly in like with the vitiligo but around the same areas in the same shape, idk I’m not really set on that either, it’s kind of a passing thought

Mikey also has vitiligo, just more on his arms and hands, still a few spots on his face just not as noticeable as Leo

Donnie still has his lil Tetris on his arms and legs. I also want to add some to his face, which is a common thing I see people drawing and I love it. Instead I think I’d put it closer to his jaw rather than his eyes or on the side of his face, like between his cheek and ears

Speaking of ears, they have them. Buuuutt… they’re also slightly off. Like the very top of their ears are still a bit connected, but again, not super noticeable. You’d probably notice the scaly skin before the ears if covered well enough

Their noses are normal I think, but the bottom of their faces are a bit pushed out like their snouts are still barely there (also not set on this…)

Raph still has his sharp tooth (I forgot what it’s called). They also still have very similar appetites to their turtle species

They have 5 fingers, but their pointer/middle fingers and their pinky/ring fingers separate like half an inch/a centimeter higher than normal. The connection between their middle finger and ring finger are normal tho

They have hair and eyelashes but their eyebrows are a bit thin (this is just mostly so I can justify Donnie still having his drawn on eyebrows)

I think that’s done for the descriptions but yea

April thought they were kids who got caught up in some sort of radioactive material or they were an experiment gone wrong at first but thinks they’re cool (you’re almost on point April, they’re just an experiment gone right)

They kind of become urban legends (they probably already are but still)

I think that’s it for now, I might add more later or if I forgot something. It’s 3:30 am and I want to sleep.

sorry in advance if you've already answered a question like this but i just wanted to ask, how do you improve on drawing?? i think especially for things like coloring, shading, and lighting , its been difficult for me to be happy with how it looks because compared to the sketch (that i think already looks nice) the colors just seem sort of flat and muddy and i feel like i dont have a good grip on what colors to put where and how to make it look unflatt if that makes sense! just curious on maybe what kinds of practices and studying you do for this(if any))<33 obv you dont have to answer if you dont want to, and thank you for being one of my inspirations, love youu<33333

hihi!! for simply shading/lighting, i would suggest you only work in black and white until you're totally comfortable with developing values. why? marco bucci explains it really nicely in this video but basically if you have good values u can have absolutely garbage nonsense colors and it will still make sense aka when i did this lol:

i'm guessing you're more interested in colored artwork though since black and white drawings can't be "flat and muddy" bc theyre in grayscale lol. for coloring, this is so tough for me too so i thought about this for a day or so and i came up with 3 tips that might help^^ 1) getting colors directly from photo reference or color reference, 2) manually adding filters/color harmony, and 3) studying color theory

i always work from photo reference so it informs a lot of my coloring/shading/lighting and often when i don't understand what color I'm looking at i directly just eye drop it and realize that what i thought was purple was actually just a gray-red. working from an actual picture helps make sure my colors don't look strange and while i used to think eye-dropping felt like "cheating" when i worked digitally honestly i've learned a lot from it and honestly if i stare at a color long enough i can get it pretty accurately now but i'm just too lazy so eye-dropping just speeds up my workflow (plus i hate digital color pickers anyways they r not built for artists and i wrote an entire paper on it in college once lmao) anyways here's an example of a color study i did by directly eye-dropping from a gif with @quokki's incredible coloring (love u ale <3)

if you're not working from a picture directly, you can still use other pictures or artwork as a "color reference" which I used to do a lot. i like to look at art from other ppl with pretty colors and create a color palette to use in my own drawings. for example, the color palette for this felix painting came from a piece (idr which) by Simón Prades on instagram but this palette is really easy to use since it's linear values it's like working in black and white but comes out looking cooler LOL

Recently for my lee know kiki's delivery service drawing i felt that the colors seemed a little flat n muddy to me because it was in an animated flat coloring style (lol) so I added a filter layer (just a flat apricot color set to overlay at 25% on photoshop) that livened up the whole thing and made it feel more cohesive. It's a pretty subtle difference to other people but made a world of difference to me :) it helped take the muddiness out of the shadows of his face and the glass reflection and took the painting from gloomy rainy day with stale bread to warm sunny day with fresh bread :]

and finally if u are interested in actually studying colors and lighting and shading and stuff these r some of the youtube videos and channels that i think do a great job explaining these very cool concepts:

pre-realism vs post-realism is a cool video about the difference between the mentality of how beginners draw vs how experts draw and kinda blew my mind tbh i think the big color takeaway from this video is that something that kids would color (like green grass) might actually be a totally different color to an artist's eye (dark yellow, red gray, even a super desaturated purple) depending on a realistic lighting situation

nathan fowkes did a 3-part guest talk series on understanding color temperature and relationships: (1) (2) (3) also not coloring but i love his video on value massing

this lecture on what charles bernard calls "the mother color principle" takes the "filtering" tip that i mentioned earlier to a much more developed level (it's an hour long so just skip through it.. u get the gist of what he's saying in a few min but the whole demo is also cool too)

i mentioned him earlier but marco bucci has many 10 min digestable videos about color on his channel that i like :) (also this lighting/value video is great too)

Yes?!?! I just ask that you please please please share more of your own observations about outfit choices as well!!

I had a discussion with a friend about this months ago and went through all their scenes and discovered how much they really did match or coordinate. I won't go quite as granular as I did, but sometimes I can't help myself. It's too fun.

I mean, you got the biggest callback to their moments in 2x10 with Jordan's suit in 5x04. And then Layla's yellow dress in both 3x18 and 5x04.

Layla and Jordan are much more coordinated in 3x07 than he Simone are. Layla's also in white, and Jordan's talking about her dad and throwing the word "endgame" around. Spencer is in much darker colors.

And in season 3, Simone and Layla keep wearing opposite, coordinating colors. Like, during their plan to set up the boys, they're in similar cut outfits, but Simone's in light red, and Layla's in light blue. And even during their PE class, they're in opposite gym outfits.

But outfit coordination really picks up steam in s4. In their first scene together, jordayla is in cream/white. Which makes me think of your point... new beginnings? In 4x06, they're in muted grayish/blue tones. And obv in 4x07, they're both in shades of pink. They look like they planned to go to prom together. Actually, all the teen couples match at prom: jordayla, spelivias in black, jasher are both in ties, and catience is in orange.

4x08, they're both in florals briefly. 4x12, Jordan's collar matches the exact shade of green of Layla's outfit. They're both in yellowish beige in 4x13. They're both in blue in 4x14. Then in 4x16, the white under his jacket matches her white throughout the ep. They're both in blue/gray tones in 4x17. And then the lovely 4x18 outfits for all three that you laid out.

4x19, they're in orange and black, the classic Halloween colors. And again, to your thoughts about color, perhaps they're on differing color palettes because they were opposing each other all episode? And for the first kiss, they are both bright, bright, bright.

For 5x01, Jordan's undershirt matches Layla's dress when we get our first scene, and even her lipstick matches his button up. Simone and Layla are in red and green at the party... the two sides of the triangle.

5x02 has them in reds/pinks. 5x03, Jordan manipulated for them to coordinate. They looked fantastic together. 5x04, They're in white and black. And I can't help but wonder if Jordan's in white bc he wants to be open about their relationship while Layla wants to keep it hidden.

5x05, they're in Valentine colors. Jordan's in red and white, and Layla's in white. And then in hc 2x07, Simone's in dark brown, Layla's in a mixture of beige/light brown. And their most prevalent coordination to me was seeing them both in really pretty jewel toned blouses in a deep purple and hot pink.

5x08 has jordayla in multicolor with earth tones. Plus the white accents in Jordan's tracksuit matches Layla's tracksuit, and they're in white and black at the end. 5x11, the black in her dress/accessories matches his black. They're both in gray at GW's.

They're both in gray/silver in 5x13. This was pointed out before, but all the couples at the end of the ep were coordinated with jordayla in gray, spelivia in black and white, and jasher in red and beige. They're in dark colors in the fridge scene in 5x14 and then they're in pinks/reds in the ily scene.

In 5x15, her top matches his pants perfectly. And that's a weird color to match. 5x18 shows them in light colors up front and the end. And the black accents in her jacket matches his black outfit in 5x20.

I mean, some of these might be coincidental, but there is quite a pattern of them matching/coordinating, especially the closer they became to each other.

🤷 What thing that your fandom loves do you just not “get”?

Hmm...probably the woobifying of Loki. He's a villain, or at the very least, an anti-hero, ffs. Yes, there is always going to be that one person (ahem, Tony or Bucky, in my fics) who can get to the gooey, creamy center of Loki (no double entendre intended). But part of why I love the character. is his less-than-good behavior and antics. Also, not a big fan of slave Loki (tho I've read a couple good war prize fics) or stripper/prostitute Loki. Not bc I don't enjoy those AUs (well-written ones are GOOD). But bc some I've read tend to write Loki completely OOC. And frankly, I'm concerned about where some of these writers get these ideas about sex workers.
