I’m actually so disappointed in this whole movie release of RvB19

It’s a show. With episodes. That release weekly. I was actually so looking forward to having that unique fandom experience of waiting each week for new episodes and theorizing and making content interacting with the fan base as episodes aired one last time. But now there’s no way you’re gonna be able to go into any fandom spaces without getting spoiled by those who watched the movie release. Like what’s even the fucking point of doing the weekly releases? Actually fuck this. It’s so stupid. Like it would be perfectly fine if they did it AFTER all the episodes aired cause then it’d basically be the same as the complete seasons and that’s cool but no- the movie release is dropping the same day as episode one. Honestly fuck that. I’m gonna watch the weekly episode releases as god intended. It’s a show. One that I’ve loved so dearly for almost 8 years. I’m gonna treat it as a fucking show.

Genuinely, what is the point of setting the Fallout show on the west coast if it was just going to invalidate everything that happened in the West Coast Trilogy. Shady Sands has fallen, the NCR is a memory, New Vegas is a crater in the ground. The New California Republic, Caesar's Legion, The Enclave, Mr. House, all brushed to the side for a wasteland with no semblance of human society beyond shanty-towns; with no semblance of the legitimate cities of Fallouts 2 and New Vegas. All to what end? To allow the Brotherhood of Steel to make an undeserved comeback?

If anything, I think the series should be the final nail in the coffin that Bethesda fundamentally misunderstands Fallout. In a franchise whose very nature is defined by the Atom Bomb and how it was used as a means to an end by a corrupt Capitalist system; how humanity rose from the ashes of a broken world with the dream of building something better; how our only hope for the future is to learn from our past mistakes and create a world where they can never be made again; Bethesda seems determined to keep us stuck in the past. That we should never advance past the ideals of the nation that led us to this nuclear landscape in the first place, that we should never try to make something new atop the ashes of what came before. That we should just forever stay rats scurrying in the wastes, amongst the shattered visage of Ozymandias and the fruits of his labor, looking up to what he left behind as an example of the kind of existence we should strive to create. Very telling indeed.

I try really hard to be patient, understanding, and nonjudgmental. When I notice myself being judgy, I actively try to reframe my thoughts. BUT THIS MATERNITY SUB HAS GOTTEN ON MY LAST NERVE.

She isn’t safe (example: escorted 3 special-ed kids from one side of the school to the other and then LEFT THEM OUTSIDE ALONE and just …left). She picks on one of the kids. She ignores her emails. And she doesn’t actually do any of the lesson planning. And she is completely tech-illiterate. I get that some people just aren’t great at computers. But she doesn’t even know that if you push the up arrow on the keyboard, it scrolls up. Or how to click on a link.

Today, I coached her during one period and made sure everything she needed was already open so she could make a lesson for tomorrow. She says “okay, that makes sense. I can do that.” By 6th period, she hadn’t touched it despite having 2 free periods. And I explained again about the lesson plan and she says “oh, you mean /I/ have to do this?!” Yeah! You! The teacher is gone. She has given you all the resources. But YOU have to put them together on the peardeck. So I took a deep breath and said, “yes. I can help you if you need.”

A third of the way through 8th period, she was just scrolling on her phone while the kids had free time it worked on homework with the other paraeducators. She still hadn’t worked on tomorrow’s lesson plan. So, i asked if she was using her computer. She said no. I asked if I could borrow it to look at the lesson. And then I just fucking made the lesson for the next 3 days. I am not a certified teacher. This is not part of my job. She makes three times more than I do. But I did it anyway because THERE NEEDS TO BE A LESSON. And then I told the head of the department that I did it for her.

And yes, you better believe that my supervisor was told about her just fucking LEAVING kids out by themselves. Another paraeducator mentioned to me that the sub smelled like alcohol. Made sure the supervisor knew that as well. I know we are short staffed, but HOW did this woman get hired?! She should NOT be allowed to be a sub, especially a long term sub, ESPECIALLY-ESPECIALLY for special education students with high-needs.

Well, Phantom is talking shit about rich people.

"Sounds like a personal grudge," Batman comments idly. Lots of people don't like rich people, so he isn't actually offended.

"Oh, I just hate a select few. Oliver Queen? He's fine." Green Arrow visibly preens.

Batman feels a lip twitch, but fights the smile.

"What about Bruce Wayne?" Superman asks, very deliberately not looking at Batman.

Phantom snorts.

"Bruce Wayne? I hope he wrecks one of those fancy cars and needs both his feet amputated."

The room goes completely silent.

"Holy crap, kid; what'd he do?"

"He backed Vlad Masters is what he did. The Wayne Tech he provided was used to get one-up on me; took me literally two months to escape." The kid cracks his neck, and the high neckline moves enough to show off a shiny new red scar.

Bruce feels the world drop from under his feet.

"He what?" The question is ripped from Batman's throat before he even finishes thinking it.

"Oh yeah, he also financially backed the supporting senators behind the anti-ecto acts. Bruce Wayne is a literal useless sack of shit."

"...I'm sorry, the anti-ecto what?" Superman's voice is strained as he asks, and his eyes are already starting to glow.

Bruce, after getting back to the cave, pulls Tim aside and together they rip into every single transaction the board did both over the table and under it.

And there it is.

Multiple board members had been using Bruce Wayne's name as they donated to shady politicians, essentially sold off his developmental tech that was supposed to be disposed of, and had been embezzling funds.

On all official papers, Bruce Wayne was the biggest backer for a law that was in clear violation of Meta Rights.

just got kicked out of the best panhandling spot i've ever had by the mcdonalds management due to a customer complaint. all i got today so far is one dollar.

a dozen people are kind and generous to me every day, and it takes just one asshole to ruin the whole thing.

He knows a bunch of languages, it was something he was interested in and he actually learned them unlike Sirius. Pandora is Greek and sometimes she will ramble in Greek and Regulus matches her. Remus speaks Dutch and more often then not uses it for cursing but Regulus call him out every time. Lily learned German and gets really frustrated when Regulus knows it too. Hogwarts may have people from all over but generally Regulus can understand basically anyone it’s his biggest flex.

Okay, dollblr, I need your help

My friend's doll collection was stolen on May 19th by his shitty landlord. Charges have been filed, but the landlord and the moving company he used to transport the dolls and other stolen property have been uncooperative in giving the information needed to trace and recover the dolls.

STOLEN AGAIN

I genuinely didn't know if I could be bothered to announce this again but I can't let it slide.

This is the second time that I'm aware of that this particular fic has been stolen. Granted, from what I can tell the only thing that is similar seems to be the smut, but that isn't the point. I don't particularly know how to go about this because as most of you know I'm not at all fond of the ao3 interface and I rarely use it.

But I wanted to post here because as we know, fic plagiarists seldom write anything for themselves. The ao3 date is confusing me a lil but I think they posted this chapter just two days after I posted my fic? I can't say for sure but it doesn't inspire hope for this particular poster that they are writing for themselves.

I was torn about whether to make a post about this at all because last time my work got stolen it made me so incredibly anxious and paranoid. I was physically and mentally drained because of it and I didn't know if I wanted to go through that again.

However I'm willing to take the risk because I know it's the right thing to do, and the fact that other moots or fellow writers could have had their work stolen by this person is the main reason I am doing this. It takes an incredible amount of energy, time, and passion to write or do anything creative and we are doing it for free because we want to and because it's fun. And to have that trivialised by being stolen for ?? laziness ?? clout ?? I don't know, it sucks.

I really do hope this author does write for themselves and just had a moment of weakness.

The writing clearly isn't entirely copied and pasted but has been tweaked slightly, I'm assuming in hopes of getting away with it? But at that point wouldn't it be better to just actually write something yourself?

Anyway, hopefully this user hasn't stolen from anyone else, but just in case I will link their fic below. It's a big multichap series and I honestly wouldn't have known if an anon hadn't have told me.
