The florescent light beaming off the hard wood floors as you made your way through the body's of people trying to grab another drink for yourself, constantly pulling your dress down that was annoying you.
Pouring some vodka into a red solo cup with some mixer you felt someone bump into you turning your head to find a blonde haired frat boy blushing with embarrassment "I'm so sorry I didn't mean to bump into you" he apologies you smiled shaking your head drinking your drink, "Don't sweat it accidents happen" you said the blonde headed boy sighed in relief at your comment.
"I'm kyle" he smiled holding his hand out, "y/n" you said shaking his hand formally with a giggle, "Oh your a frat boy" you smirked pouring some shots of vodka for you both, "uh yeah I am what about you are you in college?" He asked watching as you poured the shots into little plastic shot glasses.
"Yeah I am I study childcare but I'm thinking about doing social care" you stated Kyle nodded, "so Kyle you a party guy or just here because your frat brothers need a babysitter?" You continued to question handing him a shot, "Yeah my frat bros dragged me here I'm the responsible one you know gotta make sure they don't over step lines" he chuckled before taking the shot with you.
"You should just let loose for the night have fun your still young don't waste it away being a babysitter take it from me I spend my mornings learning about how to look after small children nevermind grown men" you laughed Kyle couldn't help but find your smile mesmerising he never wanted to see another smile there wasn't one like yours full of life and joy.
"Your right why not" he agreed you cheered handing him another shot letting the liquid burn down your throats, "woohoo" you beamed now pouring a full drink for you both, "here you go" you smiled handing him another drink.
"Let's go dance" you said taking his hand dragging him along to the what you think is the living area where the music was the loudest, swaying your hips as you made it to the center.
Kyle's eyes never left you as you danced like no one was there he couldn't help but smile at your confidence, "come on Kyle show us what you got" you shouted over the music taking his hands guiding him to dance.
Soon enough you found yourself staggering around enjoying yourself, in a different more quiet room with Kyle, "looks like your babysitting me now" you slurred flicking through whoevers cd collection this was, "I don't mind plus your fun" he smiled observing you as you pulled out a toto cd he didn't know what one you actually picked yet till he heard the opening song.
"Oh my god you like toto too?" He gasped like a little fan girl, "yes they're amazing I love rosanna" you said plopping down on the bean bag chair beside Kyle, "no way that's my favourite" he smiled at you in which you returned.
"I knew I'd like you" you chuckled at him taking his hand for the 50th time tonight dancing with him, finally rosanna came on you both gasped singing along to the song "from now on this will be our song" you said Kyle smiled nodding.
You suddenly felt the urge to kiss him you never had this urge before and to be honest you liked it, giving in to your thoughts you pushed yourself up on your toes pressing your lips to Kyle's who was shocked but followed along anyway.
Kyle hand finally found his hand on your waist pulling you closer to him, your hands played with the back of his hair as you poured your emotions into the kiss tasting the alcohol on his tongue.
Finally pulling away for air your cheeks flushed bodies still pressed tightly together your eyes searching his for something but you didn't know what exactly,"Wow" he whispered softly with his usual bright smile "come on let's go back to the party" you said taking his hand.

This is kinda odd but what if Austin and his gf are in a relationship that is a secret...because of HER? This is totally selfish indulgent because I'm going into this field of work but say she's campaign managing for a senator or some important dude and his team begs her not to reveal that she's with "that man who played Elvis" because it would be distracting? Cue angst hopefully with fluff or smut at the end, I love your writing so much!
Okay so I don't really know much about senators ect so I changed it to you being a lawyer for a big celeb who's court hearing is very public knowledge rn...I hope thats okay!
--
Austin fell in love with you for many reasons, one of which being that you were so dedicated to your job. You ate, slept and breathed it and he loved how passionate you were over it, just as he was with his own job.
Going public with your relationship wasn't something either of you were overly keen to do, you'd both agreed that if it were to be that people found out about you, then that's how it was. You'd both been in your own little bubble for the last few months of dating, both of your friends knew you were dating someone but didn't actually know who and due to your busy work schedules there was never a time where either of you were in a situation where friends pushed to know who it was.
Austin was on set, sitting in his trailer with his manager, Austin had prided himself on having a team around him that supported him, respected him and always wanted what was best for him. His manager was amazing, always supporting him,
'That your girlfriend you're smirking at over there' John, his manager teased, watching as Austin's eyes snapped up to him from the phone.
'Uh, yeah' Austin let out a small nod and a big grin at the thought of you.
'Come on, tell me who she is, someone I know?'
'Have you been watching the latest court trail?' Austin motioned to the TV which was off but his manager got the idea, nodding his head slowly.
'Y/N Y/L/N, the female lawyer on the defence' Austin's grin held its place as he spoke
'What?! Wow, wow, wow how am I only finding out about this now!?' John sat up in his seat, his eyes wide.
'We've been keeping it on the downlow' Austin shrugged his shoulders gently.
'Keep it that way man' This comment confused Austin
'Look man, this movie is going to be the biggest thing that has ever happened to you. You do not want it being dampened by everyone finding out you're dating the best defence lawyer in the country. You need to keep this under wraps, Y/N's online fan base is huge, possibly bigger than yours right now. People find out you're dating and it'll be less of 'Austin Butler, the new Elvis' and more of 'that guy thats dating Y/N Y/L/N' John explained
Austin sat back, his mind racing with so much. He didn't want to hide his relationship with you, he wanted people to know how proud he was of you, but he also kind of understood his point.
--
You arrived home from work later than expected, the day in court had been long and vicious, both sides arguing their points and neither getting much across. You'd arrived home to find Austin making dinner, you excused yourself to go upstairs and throw on some pyjamas, undoing your hair and taking your make-up off. You landed on the sofa with a sigh, Austin handing you a glass of wine before taking a seat next to you, your legs spreading across his lap as his hands rubbed against your lower legs.
'Was talking to John today' Austin spoke, glancing over at you as you turned your head to the side to listen to him
'Bout what baby?' you took a sip of your drink
'He thinks we should keep us a secret until the movie comes out' Austin bit his lip, waiting for your response
'And why does John get an input in our relationship?' you sassed, twirling a piece of hair between your fingers.
'He thinks the attention from the movie will be dampened by everyone knowing I'm dating the best lawyer in the world' Austin attempted to ease the growing tension
Your face contorted in confusion, taking another sip of wine and thinking.
'He thinks I'm going to take your shine away? You've put way too much effort and passion into this movie for people to care more about me than you and that film' you spoke
'I know but he does have a point, you're a big time lawyer now, everyone knows your name. Besides I quite like the idea of keeping us a secret' he smirks, moving your legs slightly so he can lay his head down on your stomach
'I like the idea of us being a secret too, but I don't want to be going out of my way to avoid being in public with you. I was looking forward to being able to go grocery shopping together' Austin let out a laugh at your statement, his head lifting back up to look at you
'You wanna go grocery shopping? We could dress up in hoodies, hats and sunglasses and do that'
'Austin' you warned, putting your glass down on the side
'Y/N, the trail finishes in 2 weeks, once its done we can be as public as you want'
'Fine, but you need to give me a back massage and run me a bath every night until then cause this damn trail is fucking up my back' you let out a laugh as Austin agreed to your wishes and moved his body so he was hovering over you on the couch, pressing a soft kiss to your lips.

Hey there :) it's me again the SMF anon who still didn't request.. (I'm so sorry, but I've been trying to come up with something since my ask.. why is it so hard to request something? 😭💀) But yeah well.. I actually kind of have something.. if you're still up to it of course!!
So I really like Yejun from Just Jerk 👀 and well, if you actually decide to write something, then idk.. I thought maybe something like friends to lovers? (they're both dancers) like him being into reader and confessing.. (reader likes him too and happy ending lol) and if you want to, you could make it a little suggestive in the end.. like them making out or smth..?
Idk I'm so sorry I'm so bad at this 😭😭😭 (shaking my head at myself rn bc this is so embarrassing)
Oh my goodness 😂 you’re too cute 🥰. Don’t apologise at all! I’m always here to help and give advice and the way you have explained what you want me to write is perfect, so don’t worry at all. Also Yejun is gorgeous, so I can see why you like him.
I hope this is ok and please send more requests in the future: don’t ever be embarrassed to ask ❤️.
Suggestive ❤️
You’re hit with the cool air conditioning as you walk into the practice room, as you spot several people who are already stretching in front of the mirrored wall. Walking to the corner of the room you place your bag on the floor and get out your water bottle before joining the other dancers to stretch. You usually didn’t come to the Just Jerk academy as you already a part of the 1 Million dance team, but one of your closest friends was running the class so you wanted to come and support.
Some of the girls sat in front of you suddenly gasped and started giggling amongst themselves. ‘Oh my god, he’s better looking than his pictures’ one of the girls whispers, ‘I wonder if he has a girlfriend?’ the other one responds. You slowly turn your head to see who they are talking about, but trying to not be too obvious about it. Unsurprisingly they are talking about your good friend Yejun, the one who was running this class. You’re not even remotely surprised at their comments though as since he appeared on Street Man Fighter, it’s difficult to even get into a class with any of the Just Jerk members. Just then a voice pulls you out of your thoughts, ‘y/n’, you hear as you look up to see Yejun walking towards you smiling. You could feel the girls eyes burning into the side of your head. You try to ignore it and stand up to greet him. ‘Hey’ you smile as he pulls you in for a quick hug. ‘Ready for todays class?’ He asks rubbing his hands together in excitement. ‘Always’ you giggle patting him on the shoulder. He pauses for a second, smiling at you before clapping his hands to let everyone know the class was about to start.
The class goes well and Yejun as always controls the room in such an effortless way. ‘Thank you everyone for coming and as usual we will post our next classes on our website’. Everyone slowly starts to gather their things and exit the room, whilst you wait for Yejun. You always had a few drinks and watched a movie together after a class. Yejun was saying goodbye to everyone when the girls from earlier approach him, ‘You’re such a good teacher’ one of them giggles placing her hand on his shoulder, ‘I would love to have a boyfriend that could dance like you, your girlfriend is very lucky’ she says fluttering her eyelashes, ‘oh I, erm well I’m actually single’ Yejun responds awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck before looking in your direction, the expression on his face is almost unreadable. ‘Well in that case take my number’ she smiles, tucking a piece of paper in his hands before turning on her heel and leaving with her friends in tow. You don’t know why but seeing that made your stomach drop, for some reason you wanted to walk across the room and rip up the paper in front of him, but instead you ask him if he’s ready to go, which he nods in response.
You walk side by side to his apartment in complete silence, it felt like you both had a lot to say but couldn’t bring yourselves to say anything at all. You arrive at Yejun’s place and make yourself comfortable on his sofa whilst he gets you both a drink. ‘What do you want to watch?‘ he asks to no response. You couldn’t help yourself, you were still thinking about the girl earlier who gave him the phone number. ‘Are you gonna go out with that girl?’ You blurt out without thinking, ‘erm I mean, if you would prefer we could watch a movie together another time, if you want to hang out with her’ you splutter trying to grasp back at your dignity which seemed to of just abandoned you. ‘Now why would I want to do that?’ He questions, cocking his eyebrow at you. ‘Well she’s pretty and she really seems to like you’ you state, not looking up from your eyelashes. ‘I’ve met prettier’ he responds causing you to finally look him in the eyes. ‘What’s she like?’ you ask as he sits himself next to you. ‘Hmm well, she’s kind, warm, an amazing dancer and she’s been a good friend to me for a long time’ he says as he moves closer towards you, ‘what else?’ you ask as your heart pounds in your chest. ‘To be honest I’ve been in love with her for as long as I can remember, but I’ve always been too scared to tell her in case she doesn’t feel the same’. At this point your faces are only inches away from each other. ‘How should I show her how I feel?’ He asks you as his eyes scan your face. ‘I think you should kiss her’ you whisper before his hand finds its way to the back of your head and his lips envelope yours. The kiss is filled with passion and emotion as you both cling to each other. Once you break apart you’re both fighting for breath, ‘you don’t know how long I’ve wanted to do that’ he says as he pulls you onto his lap to face him. ‘I think I’ve always wanted you too’ you reply, ‘but I’ve only just come to realise it, sorry I took so long’. ‘It’s ok, it doesn’t matter how long it took to get you to be mine, as long as I’ve got you then that’s all that matters’ he smiles as he pulls you into another kiss. The butterflies in your stomach awaken as his hands snake around your waist pulling you closer. ‘I can’t handle myself around you’ he whispers in your ear as he lays you back on the couch. You wrap your legs around his hips and connect your lips against his as you slowly loose yourself in each other.

Part 1
A/N: I was thinking about this for a while now......but I might rewrite this one, so please stand by
-
"Hey you made it." Jooheon smiled as soon as you and Kihyun walked through the door.
"Yeah sorry I'm late. I had to speak with my professor."
"You're here that's all that matters." You couldn't help but blush.
Jooheon still gave you feelings you couldn't explain but now Kihyun was in the picture. You liked seeing his playful side and he really showed to be a caring person but how were things going to change now.
"(Y/N) come on. You need to try this cake that Gihyun made. It's amazing."
"Stop." Gihyun blushed.
"No seriously. You should be a culinary major." He continued complimenting.
"Hey thank you for bringing my canvas." You said to Gihyun.
"No problem (Y/N)." She smiled warmly.
"I love my gift. Can't believe how talented you are. You made me look dope." He smiled showing off his dimples.
"Hey dude." Wonho greeted Kihyun as he leaned against the wall on the opposite side. "What's with you?"
"W-what? Nothing." He shook off. He glanced at you still engaged with Jooheon. You were smiling and laughing and he can tell you were enjoying his company.
"You reek of jealousy."
"What would I be jealous of?" He snipped.
"Obviously the cute girl talking to Jooheon you entered with."
"It's so cute." He continued as he leaned forward to pinch his cheeks but Kihyun quickly stopped him.
"I'm not jealous. I was helping her out with Jooheon, that's all."
"If you say so."
"Hey (Y/N), if you want, there is a concert in the park tomorrow. You want to go?" Jooheon asked you. Was he asking you out? Oh no, what should you do. "I understand if you have something planned already with Kihyun."
"No, I don't have any plans tomorrow."
"Great. It will be fun."
"I'm bringing the snacks." Gihyun winked. She's going? Maybe it's not what you think.
"Hey let me get your number so I can tell you the details." Jooheon smiled and you blushed as you gave him your phone.
"Cute wallpaper." He said handing it back.
"Thank you."
"Jooheon." More people walked into the tight dorm. "Happy birthday."
"I'll be right back." He started walking away. "There's tons of food, eat up." He left you alone with your thoughts.
You looked around not sure what to do until your eyes spotted a lonely Kihyun sipping down a drink while playing on his phone.
"Hey." You greeted.
He looked up at you all flushed. You figured it was his drink taking control.
"Thanks again, for what you did."
"Why do you keep thanking me, It was my fault." He arched his eyebrows.
"It was both of our faults, but it was fun doing it." You smiled.
"If you say so."
"Are you drunk?" You leaned forward looking in his drowsy eyes.
"No." He stood up straight, denying.
"I think you are." You gave a slight giggle.
"(Y/N) were playing beer pong come on." Jooheon smiled.
"Um." You looked back at Kihyun but he was already out the door. "Wait."
"Come on (Y/N)." Gihyun continued.
You just shrugged it off hoping he was okay.
....
You looked around causally trying to spot Kihyun as you hung out with Jooheon and Gihyun. The more you hung out with Gihyun the more you disliked her. She had a comment for everything, and always had to one up herself for everything that came out of your mouth. Like she was competing with you.
"I'm going to use the restroom." You told Jooheon as he nodded. You had to get away from Gihyun and her constant chatting. The closer you traveled down the hall, you heard loud music of people singing along and the loud chaos of people cheering.
"Bang bang bang!" You turned the corner seeing a crowd in the hang out as two figures were singing along to the tv as it layered lyrics down the screen as they stood on the couch.
This can't be good this late at night.
You got closer about to head down the other hall until the familiar voice got you off guard. Kihyun? Oh no.
"Yeojadeureun get low. Danggyeora BANG BANG BANG- Hey (Y/N)!" Kihyun made eye contact with you. "Come up here."
You just shook your head.
"Please."
"What the fuck is going on?" The RN came in as you were quick to get Jooheon.
"Um Jooheon." You started but you could feel a sudden presence behind you.
"Jooheon you said you were gonna keep this party out of control."
"What are you talking about?" He looked at the RN.
"Your friends are drunk and causing a ruckus. Please just send everyone back to their rooms before we get into trouble." She left in a rush.
You followed Jooheon back out to the hangout as everyone was already gone. "Sorry Jooheon." A boy with blonde hair spoke.
"Minhyuk, where is Kihyun?" He pointed to a figure laying on the floor against the wall.
"Shit." Jooheon mumbled concerned for his friend. "Kihyun doesn't do this, ever. I've seen him drunk before but not this bad."
"I'll help clean up Jooheon." Gihyun said sweetly.
"I'll take Kihyun to his room." It was your turn to speak.
"You sure?" He asked.
"Yeah." You smiled and was already on the move.
"Okay, let's go." You grabbed his hands trying to pull him up. "Let's get you to bed."
"I can sleep here." He said pulling you down to lay on the floor. He wrapped his arms around you, cuddling you cutely. Okay maybe Kihyun was the cutest drunk ever.
"Kihyun, we need to lay in our beds not the floor." You giggled.
"My bed is like a hour away. I'll just stay here." He whispered.
"This floor is disgusting." You whined. "How about my bed? It's closer."
He hummed in agreement but still chose not to move. "Kihyun." You whispered closer to you but he bumped his head against yours causing you both to winch away.
"Who are you?"
"(Y/N)." You giggled some more. But he just looked at you trying to be proven correct.
"I wished you like me instead."
You immediately felt that punch in the gut feeling. The short time you knew him, he wasn't very keen on sharing but he liked you, it was confirmed.
He didn't deserve you by the way you look at it. You used him for his friend and continued to like his friend. It wasn't that you didn't feel anything for him but you couldn't forget about the other.
"Let's go. For real this time." You continued to help him back to your bed.
Once you finally settled him down, your friend must of slept somewhere since she was no where to be found. You attempted to sleep in her bed until Kihyun's clingy ass forced you in your own bed with him. He was definitely not what you expected when he drinks.
-
The next morning, you woke from Kihyun quickly getting up alerted.
"Kihyun?"
"Sorry (Y/N) I'm gonna be late for my showcase."
"What showcase?" You asked yawning.
"My photography course. I'll see you later."
You got ready as the day was starting and quickly made your way out of the dorm.
"Hey (Y/N)." Jooheon smiled as he approached you with Gihyun.
"Hey."
"The concert got cancelled, on the count of rain...." He began. "But did you want to do something anyway?"
"Umm....okay." You shrugged.
"We're so happy we bumped into you. We were just thinking what we should do." Gihyun spoke with that annoying fake tone. "It's funny, we were just talking about you and how amazing your artwork is."
"How long have you been painting?" She continued.
"About 12 years." You said clearly uncomfortable with her as Jooheon just nodded along.
"Wow. You and Kihyun are so artistic. Probably why you make such a great pair."
"Thanks....technically we're not a pair."
"Not yet, at least." She giggled as you tried not to roll your eyes.
"Well it was nice talking to you guys, I'm gonna run." You waved goodbye as you continued to get your morning coffee you were urging for.
"(Y/N)! Wait up!" Jooheon ran after you.
"Hey."
"Wait, so you and Kihyun aren't together?" He asked confused.
"No, we're just friends. We've only met recently for tutoring."
"Oh okay.....Look I know Gihyun wants to do something but you busy right now? We can do something just the two of us?" Oh no. Why were you still feeling flustered when Kihyun is the one you should like.
"Um....no, I'm just getting coffee." You smiled.
"Mind if I join you?" His tone was sweet.
"No." Yes. Why was this happening now?
"I'm sorry that Gihyun is constantly clinging on to me." He laughed. "I mean, she's great and all but I don't want to hang out with her 24/7. I need a break."
"Well, she likes you." You laughed.
"Ha no."
"Yes. I thought you guys were together at first."
"I guess we were both wrong." He smiled with a slight blush warming his cheeks.
"How long have you and Kihyun been friends?"
"We met our third year of high school." Jooheon opened the door for you.
"Did he ever sing at all?" You couldn't help but wondered about the boy that was slowly taking your heart.
"Sure, I mean no more then the average person, but it wasn't something he showed interest in." You ordered your drinks and sat down.
"Well he should." He smiled at your response.
...
You knocked on Kihyun's door and answered it, dressed all neat and formal. "Hey." You began confused. "How was your showcase?"
"Fine." He shrugged. You followed him into the dorm as he was setting up his portfolio.
"Do you remember anything from last night?" You couldn't help but wonder.
"Not really."
"Just want to say that you are a very cute drunk." You laughed.
"Great, you saw a side I probably didn't want you to see." He rolled his eyes.
"Nah, I liked it." You bit your lip. "Very clingy, I should add."
"Is something wrong?" You asked from his silence.
"Nothing, I'm just wondering why you aren't with Jooheon right now." He began.
"Well....I was with him before, but it was just coffee."
"Ah...so he asked you out, like you wanted?" He laughed like nothing was different.
"It was just coffee, I wouldn't really call it a date." You looked at him confused. "Why are we talking about this?"
"Well....it turns out that Jooheon likes you. I guess you got your wish."
"He likes me? How do you even know that?"
"Because he told me." He finally looked at you, putting his work down. "I guess we're done here."
"But what about yesterday?"
"We can forget about that. We just got caught up in the moment."
You shrugged confused. "Kihyun-"
"It's okay (Y/N), Jooheon likes you. That's great." Sure he was right, you should be happy but why weren't you. Seeing Jooheon early, still gave you all those old feelings but now everything was different. "You don't owe me anything (Y/N). It was the deal remember."
"I don't understand-"
"You like him and now he likes you. It's what you wanted."
"Did something happen between you two?" You continued to ask from the sudden change in his behavior. He was acting the way you first met him.
"No, he was just asking about you. I'm sorry I really need to finish this."
"But Kihyun." You were at a loss of words.
"(Y/N)." He gave you a look you didn't quite understand. He was clearly hurt and trying to push you away.
....
You couldn't stop thinking about Kihyun. Why was he lying to you? What happened this morning?
You quickly rushed through the door. "Where were you all day?" Your friend asked.
"Oh um....The concert in the park."
"Wasn't that cancelled?" She arched her eyebrows.
"Yeah." You sighed. "I was with Jooheon and his side dish Gihyun, who clearly can't take a hint."
"Still competing with that girl?" She laughed.
"I really don't think I want to. I think I'm ready to move on."
"Don't tell me its because of Kihyun?"
"Why not?"
"Nothing, I just thought you were into Jooheon." She smiled. "I was confused because everyone is saying you're with Kihyun. Remember you both mysteriously walked in covered in paint."
"We were just goofing off." You said hiding the truth. Not that you knew yourself. You didn't know where things stood now. You felt something with that kiss and you sensed he did too. But now Jooheon was interested and Kihyun was acting like he supports it. You feel like everything is all mixed up now and you didn't know what to do.
"Sure. You've guys been attached lately."
"I don't know what to do." You sighed siting on the bed. "I like Jooheon but now since Kihyun and I kissed, I'm having mixed feelings."
"Excuse me! You kissed?" She looked at you baffled that you completely forgot to even mention it.
"I thought I told you."
"You certainly had not! When?"
"Yesterday. I was cleaning the art room and he came and helped me and then we started dancing and it just happened."
"So now what are you going to do?" She asked. "You don't want to string on two guys."
"I'm not." You whined. "Kihyun doesn't even like me, at least that's what he said."
"It's hard, if you're making it hard."
-
"Are you going to go talk to him?" Sowon asked as you gathered your belongs since class was almost over.
"Talk to who?"
"Kihyun dummy."
"Why would I do that?" You kept asking.
"Because you like him."
"How many times do I have to tell you?"
"I'm not an idiot (Y/N), you've fallen for him hard, and it seems like he thinks you and Jooheon can be all happy together but that's probably because he doesn't know that you like him back."
"Kihyun hates me. It's no use."
"Then maybe staring at him the whole class should be stopped." She smirked.
"You know what.....whatever." You got up.
"It's true." She laughed. "You and Kihyun sitting in a tree...."
"Please shut up, he's right there."
Then class started piling out. "Hey Kihyun (Y/N) wants to ask you something."
He looked at you with no mood in his expression and continued leaving with the class.
"Ouch."
"I told you. He hates me."
"So......go kiss and make up with him."
"Kihyun please wait." You caught up with him and pulled him into an empty classroom.
"What do you want, trouble in paradise?"
"Why did you lie to me?"
"I didn't lie."
"You told Jooheon I liked him? He told me last night."
"That wasn't a lie." He arched his eyebrows.
"You said you weren't gonna say anything."
"I was just trying to speed up the process, it was getting exhausting."
"I want the truth. We seemed fine and all of a sudden you're being your old jerk self again." You folded your arms.
"He asked about you." He shrugged.
"Like how?"
"He said he liked you, what more information do you need?"
"So what?"
"You like Jooheon, why are you questioning this?" He sounded offended.
"Maybe I changed my mind." You shrugged.
"Well then I can't help you there."
"Why are you acting like such an idiot. Yes I liked Jooheon but it changed once we started hanging out and now things feel different."
"Are you saying what I think you're saying?" He looked at you puzzled. You nodded confirming. "You're choosing me over him?"
"Why are you acting so surprised. I'm the one that should be surprised. You have been such a jerk to me. Who knew." He finally smiled.
"So finding out Jooheon likes you, means nothing."
"It means nothing." You smiled back. "So um, maybe we can make it official by going out tonight?"

gagsydb well butter my potato I'm sorry😅 If you're interested in the reader insert rn why don't we change up TP and instead make the fem!Reader and Link from the same world and Cloud as a companion. Its a love triangle but at the finale Cloud has to go back to his dimension. Prompts 13 ; 30👀 If you have a problem with it plz plz tell. I can totally do something else for you😫💞
‘Butter my potato’ 😂 Don’t worry, this is good! It’s just so much easier for me to write with reader insert. Since Link doesn’t usually speak in the games, it’s really hard for me to picture him with dialogue, so I gave both sentences to reader and the responses to Cloud 😋
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cloud Strife & Link x Gender Neutral Reader
-
I had a terrible certainty, one that broke my heart. I had known Link for a long time, too long not to develop certain feelings for him. We had grown up together, faced dangers together, saved each other’s lifes countless times. We had gone through so much and my heart had spoken. Cloud on the other hand, had barged into our lives without meaning, he just appeared one day, quite literally. He was always talking about going back to where he belonged, to his home. And even if I had grown incredibly fond of him, it wasn’t the same. Then... why couldn’t I let him go once he finally could?
“Stay with me, please” I clung on to his arm, successfully making him stop his walking. “Don’t go”
Cloud sighed, looking at me over his shoulder. I still didn’t let go of him, even as I felt Link’s piercing gaze burning in my nape.
“Who do you love?” Cloud suddenly asked me, seeming quite serious.
“I...” Looking from one to the other, I hesitated to answer. Even if I knew the truth, even if they did too. It was obvious.
“Just say it, Y/N” Cloud muttered, now resigned to the inevitable.
“I love you both...” I averted my gaze, slowly letting go of him. “Just in different ways”
“You’ve made your choice” He replied with a sigh. “This isn’t my place anyway”
“But...” I stupidly mumbled, not really knowing what else to say.
I took a step forward, but Link’s arms tenderly wrapped around me to stop me. Cloud was already at the portal, the one that we had worked so hard to find. The one that would return him to his dimension and bring him home. Away from us. Away from me. Maybe forever.
“It’s okay” He nodded his head, and he didn’t seem angry or hurt. Just accepting even if a little sad. “I get it, you two go way back”
“At least...” I whispered, daring to carefully lock eyes with him. “Be careful out there”
“Always am” Cloud simply replied, then moving his gaze until it fell over Link. “Take care of Y/N”
Link’s hands squeezed me gently, and I knew that was his way of promising it to Cloud. That he could leave knowing we both would be safe, protecting each other like we always had.
Cloud stopped before the portal, throwing us a last glance before walking through it. Immediately, I felt a void in my chest caused by his absence. We had known each other for such little time, but he would always have a place in my heart.
Link hugged me tight, filling that emptiness with the warmth of his embrace.

Idk if this will even make sense (my brain is pasta and beans rn), but I have some thoughts on your JC... thoughts... lol Anyway first and foremost, this fandom truly do paint a prettier picture of his character than how he actually is. He's, not a good person. However, I want to touch on some points. When it comes to fandom creations and activity, you can't moralize it. I'm refering specifically to your complaint about jc's characterization in fics, and jokes on his 'homophobia' (1/)
People writing those things don't necessarily do it out of ignorance or stan-glasses. It's lighthearted, it's self-indulgent. Mdzs is a heavy work emotionally, and people exploring narratives with less heavy conflict isn't bad. Fic is in itself self-indulgent, and making assumptions on their motives and morale is just, not the thing. I constantly meet pet-peeves or aspect I outright dislike, but it's not my fic, and if it bothers me too much I put it down. The fic isn't wrong because of it (2/)
As for jc, this goes for both stans and antis I guess. Many people fail to see a character for what they are; a narrative tool. Jc is a fantastic character, complex and well written. I love his character, though as a person he's terrible. But the thing is he's not a person, and people refering to a character as if they are puts a real-world morale stamp on your personal opinion of it. Trying to paint a purely vile picture of him goes against the very themes mxtx wrote. (3/3)
3 part anon from before. I'm sure I didn't at all get my full view across, and I just want to say I'm not defending, nor condemning anything. I just find it rather off when in response to one extreme (blind stans) one moves to the other extreme (pure anti). I'd die for some good neutrality in this fandom, and I'm tired of these ongoing for-against fights. I'm tired in general, ugh. I love jc's character, as the complex, tragedy by half his own making, terrible person he is.
...Okay. Here’s the thing. I know people are just dicking around and having fun in fandom, that’s why I don’t actually engage with the stans. I know for a fact some of them enjoy talking shit about my views as much as I enjoy talking shit about theirs, and we each keep to our own parts of the fandom and don’t bother each other and it’s fine. And yeah, people’s real-world beliefs don’t match up with what they write in fics! That’s a thing that I have never tried to argue against! When I commented about people treating JC’s homophobia as a joke I was speaking as one tired lesbian who is just so incredibly done with homophobia being treated as something that isn’t serious and who also is just a little disappointed that that “Oh it’s not serious, it’s just a funny joke, haha” attitude has crept into fandom, which is generally a pretty safe place for queer people; I’m not saying the people doing it mean anything by it, I’m just saying that when people do that it gives a certain impression of who they are as people whether that impression is accurate or not. If you say something, it will make people think of you differently in response. That is just how interacting with people works. Although I would say there’s definitely some ignorance in treating someone’s family being horrifyingly homophobic towards them as a funny joke and outright refusing to acknowledge that in canon it is a serious and deeply harmful thing, just because... you know, that actually happens to people in real life.
Also like... I’m not? trying to “paint a purely vile picture of him”? I react to what I see in the text, it’s not my fault if the general takeaway is “he’s a terrible person who does barely any nice things in the entire novel and most of those things are followed by More Assholery”. Real-world morality and judgements of the character as a person inhabiting their own world can’t be avoided if you connect to the setting and characters, so sorry that I’m not purely objective. As a character JC fills his purpose very well; as a person living in the world he inhabits he’s scum. I’ve never said people can’t like JC, or even necessarily that they shouldn’t, I’m as tired of this for-against shit as you are. Complaining about a character you hate isn’t “pure anti”; in my experience to be an anti there has to be a strong push to make people believe as you do (generally involving personal attacks, threats, all that fun stuff), which... isn’t what we do here. I do hope you mean anti as in just someone who dislikes a character and not antis as the term generally refers to, because if it’s the latter I’m... actually quite offended by that. If I make people dislike JC, that just means my personal dislike of and shit-talking about the character is convincing enough that they want to follow suit; if I don’t, then it wasn’t. Criticism or even hate of a character isn’t actually any worse than praise or adoration as long as it’s all properly marked so that people who don’t want to see it can avoid it. Which I do.
And uh, speaking of which... if you’re looking for neutrality, the person who has an entire tag about how much she hates JC probably isn’t your best bet. Sorry to disappoint.

I just realized where we are rn in HxH is about Aug 2001. So now I am wondering if Togashi will have a special event corralating to 9/11 and I'm worried.
let me preface this response by saying I’ve been in research paper spiral for the last four months due to my impending advancement in june, and your question provoked a knee-jerk reaction that led to a 4h-long research spiral by someone whose specialty is absolutely not japanese foreign policy and nationalism.
the tl;dr version here, and then the explanation for it under the cut: I don’t think that’s going to happen. for one, they’re currently on a boat headed to Big Murderous Landmass (unless kurapika and co sink the whale). they’re not in yorknew/nyc. also, japan’s perceptions of 9/11 and the media representations of it are not as pervasive as american or even broader western collective trauma. while togashi is unafraid to address contemporary social politics, I don’t think he’s going to correlate a particular event to 9/11. he’s more concerned with the failings and strengths of humanity, as a whole or in parts, and might reference particular events to get across a greater point, not draw direct parallels.
now, a cut, and then several hundred words on 9/11 as a moment of collective trauma, japanese militarism, and media perceptions. it is 4000% nerdier than this ask expected.
I don’t think togashi is going to include a 9/11 parallel in a large part because of how japanese media, and anime in particular, addresses japanese communal trauma, and how togashi uses moments and evocations of these in his stories (at least, yyh, and hxh, although level e has its own quirks). namely that japan really doesn’t deal with 9/11 like americans do–but they absolutely have other traumas that make their way into anime, manga, and other media.
the thing is that, while 9/11 is absolutely a moment of international trauma (I work in india, and people there are highly conscious of it), the moment that hit the US was very different in other parts of the world. I’m old enough to remember the whole “where were you on 9/11,” itself a sort of marker of solidarity and belonging within the trauma that kind of unites people around a time. the plane crashes were broadcast everywhere in the US, and no one didn’t see it. but we got it live, fed right to the tvs in our classrooms at 8am. and america didn’t get attacked by foreigners before, not like this–problems existed “out there,” not in nyc, for however many times it’s been destroyed on film. (we have our own homegrown terrorists, but that’s a whole other can of worms.) and when it did happen, the country as a whole kicked into a jingoist gear on top of the collective trauma of someone murdering a bunch of americans. freedom fries. they were a thing.
it’s probably important to note here that media doesn’t exist in a vacuum. we’re perpetually influenced by things that happen, whether they’re collective and historical memories, personal experience, or social trends. we get our references and jokes from somewhere, and they sink into our brains and affect what we put out into the world. trauma does this more effectively than most things. trauma elicits a search for meaning, whether it’s a question of “why did it happen” or “why did it happen to me/us?” sometimes we find a meaning in the disaster, and sometimes we don’t. but it marks us and connects us (Halbswach 1992, Updegraff et al 2009). and it affects us for a long, long time.
in japan (and again, I’m not an expert on this), 9/11 is a moment of international trauma that marks japan’s re-entering into the international military sphere, but also economic flux. of the approximately 3000 people killed in the twin towers attack, 316 were non-american, including 26 japanese nationals. japan joined the war coalition almost immediately, and spent billions of USD to support the “war on terror,” while also dealing with things like shohei koda’s beheading in 2004 or the kidnapping and release of 5 journalists and anti-war NGO workers the same year, which arrived back in japan only to be ostracized for “causing trouble” for japan, with accusations that they had “got what [they] deserved” (x, x). the effect on the news media in japan was of increasing conspiracy theories and warmongering, while simultaneously wary of tensions with china, north korea, and taiwan. basically, japan politically and militarily had a lot of pots on the fire, and was feeding yen to the american pot real fast. the japanese SDF pulled out of central asia in 2007, and it’s still a divisive subject from the papers I read, but it’s more about the military than 9/11. 9/11 is not, for example, the topic of a j-drama directly or indirectly. shohei imamura’s short film “japan” in the september 11 (2002) anthology is a parable set during world war ii, although he’s much more famous for his palme d’or wins and a film about hiroshima (black rain, 1989). and uh. apparently pokemon black and white has a reference to ground zero in their map of not!nyc?
japanese media’s collective trauma in anime is often the deep personal connection with the atomic bomb, or terror attacks and natural disasters on japanese soil. which makes sense: humans will generally latch onto things that affect us personally, whether it’s a cute puppy video shown to us or an act of terrorism we watch on television. for the US, we were–and still are–being forced to confront our place in the international community (hero, victim, villain, collaborator, all of it–and americans are not very good at shades of gray) through the “war on terror,” and it comes out in everything from comic book movies like bvs directly evoking 9/11 while cavill!supes ruins buildings to kill zod, to the rise of partisan tv news. but we don’t evoke nuclear war or radioactive waste with the same reaction that japan does–there’s a lot of fear of the bomb in the 1950s and 1960s, like with dr. strangelove and them!, but it’s centered less around the impact of the bomb and its literal or metaphorical nuclear fallout, and more on the fear of the other or an outsider destroying good ol’ american culture. or giving us superpowers. (personally, the closest I think american art and literature ever got to japanese sentiments is with a canticle for leibowitz, which focuses on the cyclical nature of human failure and how the past becomes changed through the present.)
(please read a canticle for leibowitz, it changed my life and only grows more potent with age.)
for japan, the dropping of atomic bombs on nagasaki and hiroshima provides a similar and long-lasting moment of national trauma that’s been preserved in public policy and popular culture. and it’s not just grave of the fireflies or barefoot gen, anime that address the bombings through direct reference. the bomb transforms into concerns about nuclear destruction and environmental fallout, with kaiju like godzilla rising from nuclear waste. osamu tezuka’s work like astro boy is in direct response to the abuse and use of technology and hope for humanity’s future, and naussica of the valley of the wind is a fantasy post-nuclear bomb situation blended with hayao miyazaki’s love of humanity and nature (x, x). I think it’s worth noting that both tezuka and miyazaki personally experienced the 1945 bombings. miyazaki was 4, and one of his earliest memories is fleeing utsunomiya’s bombings. tezuka, at 16 and working in arsenal factories during the fire bombing of osaka, later wrote kami no toride (1977) about his personal experience, which served as both autobiography and condemnation of the vietnam war.
of more recent stuff evoking trauma, naoki urasawa actually uses 9/11 as a moment in billy bat, as part of getting to questions of humanity and modernity and technology and progress. other anime dealing with terrorism, like GITS:SAC, the “brain scratch” episode of cowboy bebop, and of course urasawa’s 20th century boys, locate terrorism not through 9/11 (and the underlying racism and not-us-ness) but more often with these japanese cults like the ‘aum death cult that carried out the 1995 tokyo subway sarin attacks, and the changing landscape of terrorism in japan. we could point to shinichiro watanabe’s zankyou no terror (or terror in resonance? iunno) as a potential 9/11 parallel, and I think it’s got the 9/11 connections, but watanabe himself places it closer to the 1995 terrorist attacks. he even commented how much “darker” zankyou no terror is than the film he was influenced by (the man who stole the sun (1979)), directly citing the 1995 attacks as one reason the last 30 years have impacted japanese understandings of terrorism. more recently, there’s also been connections to the 3/11 disaster with kimi no na wa, where shinkai explores his perennial theme of personal connection across space and time via a form of natural disaster. outside of anime, there’s also a growing body of literature on 3/11 and music, which is super interesting and well worth a look if you’re interested.
fwiw, I think it’s interesting that both urasawa and watanabe are explicitly interested in western and specifically american culture, but through a japanese lens. and not the sort of “japanese lens” that leads to the americas of g gundam or yugioh, which are The Most American Ever, but a more nuanced representation that explores technology, human connection, and modernity. which is the sort of lens creators should try to do when engaging other cultures, at bare minimum. (/soapbox)
trauma isn’t often addressed directly, but allegorically or displaced: lindsay ellis has a great pair of loose canon episodes on 9/11 and how film evokes collective trauma. while she doesn’t talk about anime or japanese films, she uses bollywood as a way to talk about indirect expressions of nationalist trauma. in the second video, she suggests that, for countries like india working through their own terror attacks with mumbai in 2008 (the 26/11 attacks), it’s easier to use other countries’ or places’ or–I would suggest–fantastical trauma rather than directly address it. so bollywood used 9/11 to understand its own trauma. not everyone does this–and a lot of times, I doubt it’s done purposefully, at least initially. but it’s there implicitly, informing decisions of artists and content creators that sometimes doesn’t get revealed until placed under a critical eye. it’s why editing and getting outside or sensitivity readers is important! for japan, the parallels aren’t to other countries, but fantastical situations in japan with Very Heavy Symbolism ranging from akira’s totally-not-a-bombs to kimi no na wa’s processing of the 3/11 disaster via comet.
as for togashi, he uses world events and figures as ways of exploring his own interests (yu yu hakusho has multiple “wow capitalism suuuuuuuuucks” subplots with yukina’s arc and the dark tournament, plus the very anti-war/anti-hate/anti-capitalism/”humanity sucks but people [kuwabara] can be amazing” sentiments of the chapter black tape; while hxh’s chimera ant arc has both a-bomb parallels and north korea/china references on top of killua’s soapbox about how corrupt and terrible governments can be). the parallel between “humanity sucks” and “people can be so very good” threads throughout togashi’s work. but it also uses a very buddhist understanding of rebirth and reincarnation to get these points across, whether it’s the unconditional vore love of pouf and youpi giving themselves to rejuvenate mereum after he’s nuked or the reincarnations of former humans as ants. but all of it connects to togashi’s personal experiences of things happening to and by japan, whether it’s the invasion of and tension with taiwan, the boom and bust of the economy, or the militaristic push by parts of the government under koizumi and abe. that, layered on top of the trauma that informs a lot of japanese media, makes for a fascinating playground togashi is more than willing to dig into.
I suppose this is all a very, very long-winded way of saying that while it’s possible togashi could include a 9/11 parallel, I don’t think it’ll be tied to some september 2001 date in the hxh universe. if he uses it, it will be 1: through a togashi/japanese lens; 2: unattached to a particular date; 3: layered in dialogue with broader war and terror issues togashi’s interested in exploring.
if you’ve made it to the bottom: holy crap congrats, hello, talk to me about anthropology of media. and if you’re somehow still interested in more, here’s an brief list of sources I used on top of the ones explicitly referenced in the post:

it's depressing to be a dean stan in the supernatural fandom right now. this fandom pays him dirt. it's even worse to be a laurel stan. i'm both rn and i feel like there's nothing positive to look forward to. do you have any fluffy or cute headcanons about daddy!dean and mom!laurel from your fic with little mary beatrice?
i’m sorry you’re feeling down, anon. it is a pretty rough time for dean stans right now. and, well, it’s aways been rough for laurel stans. but yes, i always have headcanons for mary bea and her adoring fans parents!
- so, as mentioned in the fic, dean was a stay at home dad for the first three years of mary’s life. they spent all day every day together. if you ask her who her best friend is, she’ll say, always, “daddy!” that’s why they were both so lost when he eventually had to work and she had to go to preschool. they had never been away from each other for that long. for a lot of things, he is the first one she runs to. he is her default setting and she is his. mary definitely skews towards the “daddy’s girl” side of things. however, with that said…
- laurel was mary’s hero before she was anyone else’s. not because she’s the black canary but because she is her mom. mary worships her mother. anything laurel does, mary wants to do too. if laurel is out in the backyard gardening, mary wants to help. if laurel is outside doing yoga in the sunshine on sunday mornings, mary drags out another yoga mat and tries to do the downward dog. mary would follow her mom anywhere. black canary may belong to star city, but everything laurel lance does is for mary.
- dean and laurel are 99.9% sure that mary was conceived in the hallway between the living room and the bedroom of her old apartment. it’s not something either of them obsess over because why would they but at the same time he does find it amusing that out of all of the times they had sex, the one time they made a baby was “the time we fucked in the hall ‘cause we couldn’t make it to the bedroom. course that’d be the time.” and by amusing, i mean he has had literal full body laughing fits about it. laurel just does not get what’s so funny about it???? he does, however, complain about the song that was playing (bittersweet symphony, one of laurel’s favourites) because “ugh that song’s fuckin’ obnoxious.” and then laurel takes offense to that because “honestly how dare you speak ill of one of the greatest hits of our generation.’’
also, okay, this got long so i’m putting the rest under a cut.
- because mary is deaf in one ear, she has some issues with vertigo and balance so she occasionally suffers from headaches, dizziness, and nausea. it’s not a huge deal, she’s in physical therapy to help her with it, and it might lessen as she gets older. but aside from it making her a bit clumsy and more susceptible to motion sickness, her balance issues have made her a REALLY terrible dancer. she has zero problems with this because she loves to dance so she’s going to dance regardless of how bad she is at it. dean never misses a chance to say, ’'maybe it’s not her balance, maybe she just inherited her mom’s dancing skills” because surprise! laurel is an awful, awful dancer.
- no, seriously, laurel is a really bad dancer. she’s okay with slow dancing but anything more than that and she is flailing. which is strange because she’s usually quite light and graceful on her feet. back when she and dean were planning a real wedding, tommy tried to teach them how to do the mambo and it did not go well. as dean likes to say, while laurel turns red in embarrassment, “it was like that dirty dancing montage except she never got better.” (for the record, no, dean is not an amazing dancer. laurel is just that bad.)
- mary is a naturally shy kid. that’s just her personality. she’s okay once she warms up to you, but she’s shy. people always comment that they don’t know where she would have gotten that from but, like…her parents? she clearly got it from her parents. laurel wasn’t necessarily shy when she was a child but she was definitely a wary and somewhat hesitant kid. her parents said she was an “old soul.” dean, on the other hand, was totally a shy little kid. before the fire, before he was forced out of his shell and could no longer afford to be shy, he preferred to spend his days at home with his mom and no one else. she was his best friend. and now he’s his daughter’s best friend.
- laurel introduced mary to the spice girls as soon as she could. in retaliation (because there’s only so many times he can listen to mary screeching at him to, “spice up your life, daddy!!!!”) dean got her into led zeppelin. mary’s favourite song is sea of love because that’s her and her mom’s song, and one time she listened to out of the woods by taylor swift on repeat for two hours until her dad finally managed to bribe her into turning it off, but her first request in the car will always be “d'yer maker” by led zeppelin. dean is super proud of that. she has never once pronounced it correctly. also, she tells people to listen to the spice girls when she thinks they’re sad.
- social media is, for the most part, not a part of their lives. laurel has an inactive facebook account that she hasn’t updated since 2012. charlie made dean make an instagram account but he’s never used it. but they both have snapchat accounts. not because they’re at all interested in it but because mary thinks it’s hilarious. the dancing hot dog makes her giggle hysterically. not that it’s hard to make her giggle hysterically, she just really loves that hot dog.
- if you were to ask dean and laurel about the moment parenthood became real to them, dean would talk about that one time when they were driving to kansas and mary inevitably got car sick and he had no choice but to dive into the back and catch it in his hands because they had forgotten to bring a bucket with them. laurel would most likely say, voice dry and sarcastic, “i dunno, man, felt pretty real when she was crowning.” but both of these things are lies. the realest moment, for both of them, was the day they were told that their daughter had pendred syndrome. that she was most likely going to lose some, if not all, of her hearing and that she was facing other potential health issues. the day they learned that their baby girl was going to life a different life, possibly a harder life, that all their plans had been blown out the window, was the day the reality of parenthood really sunk in for them.
- most people assume that dean is the fun parent and laurel is the stricter parent but nah, it’s the other way around. that’s not to say that dean isn’t fun, of course, because if the floor is lava or she wants to jump in puddles wearing the nice dress her grandmother sent her for christmas then he is all for that. but laurel is the one who told her about the puddles in the first place and waved a plastic magic wand and said the floor was lava. she’s the cookie sneaker, the best fort builder in the world, and the spontaneous picnic planner. laurel is the one who says, “hey, let’s go on a weekend trip to coast city and take mary to the beach.” dean is the one who gapes at her in response and says, “it’s eleven o'clock on a friday night and you’re telling me this now?” and she’s just like, “yeah, we’ll just throw a few bags in the car and leave tomorrow morning!” and then his brain explodes because that’s not how it works?????
dean is the one who’s got all the lists and charts in his head because he wants mary to have the safe, normal childhood he didn’t have and he is trying his hardest to make it perfect. he’s trying to recreate the pieces of the mother he remembers in every pie he bakes for his daughter, every trip to the park, every night he reads her where the wild things are. laurel is the one who wants to make the magic and the whimsy that her grandmother gave her, put the galaxy on her daughter’s bedroom ceiling the way bea did for her, and create the warmth and the fun that her mother never managed to get the hang of.
given that mary is a joyful, happy, always giggling, remarkably well adjusted little girl, they must be doing something right.

WHY I'M SMARTER THAN ANYTHING
A fundraising, and decide they should raise money too, since that seems to be in a hundred years. No idea In a sense, it's not a switch to Apple, but a famous speaker. Many are right. Bill Gates who achieve nothing. When searching for ideas, look in areas where you have some expertise. So there is obviously not a fixed amount of wealth in the world for granted. And if you don't get told what to do very much. But it's lame to clutter up the semantics of the language, which could in principle be written in C. Good software designers are no more engineers than architects are. No first use of software patents against companies with less than 25 people.
Sometimes you get excited about some new project and you want to encourage startups in a particular city, you have worse problems to worry about this, it is possible to raise too much. And my main computer except when I need to be able to sell some of their own.1 How did things get this way? So even if the problem is important enough to build a wall of a given size. Saying less about implementation should also make programs more flexible. Use difficulty as a guide not just in selecting the overall aim of your company total, it starts to get harder to raise an A round.2 In ancient Rome the price of a football stadium, any town that was decent to live in a giant city of three or four years. Are there better ways to solve them?
If an adult says that's a stupid idea, is simply to look the other person is.3 You just can't expend any attention on it so you can get is by selling your startup in the early stages, giving up upside and risk for a smaller but guaranteed payoff.4 Or more importantly, who's in it: if the study of ancient texts is a valid field for scholarship, why not modern texts? When Lisp first appeared, these ideas were far removed from ordinary programming practice, which was dictated largely by the hardware available in the late 19th century the study of ancient texts was still the backbone of the curriculum. It's not just the classes that make a university such a good place to crank oneself into the future. Why is it so important to work on projects that seem like they'd be cool. Why didn't anyone think of it before? What's really happening is that startup-controlled rounds. Number of users may not be so naive as it sounds.
