I don't understand why Obi-Wan didn't know anything about Kamino in Attack of the Clones when there was literally a Kaminoan Jedi on the Council in the Phantom Menace.

I read your opinions on Ahsoka and while I like her I agree, I think her fandom is making me dislike her, the final straw for me was reading takes that Ahsoka was Anakin's child more than Luke ever was because he spend more time with her than with Luke despite Anakin ALWAYS aknowledged Luke as his son, I mean remember the iconic "I'm your father" scene? And how after that he always called Luke in his mind as "my son"? Anakin may had not raised Luke, but he always loved his son, ever since Padmé told him that she was pregnant he considered his baby a blessing and the happiest moment of his life, so no wonder those feelings resurfaced when he found out that Luke lived between ANH and ESB, I mean, he came to the Light for him! His baby boy. I even read a Youtube comment saying that when Anakin said Luke before dying "Tell your sister...you were right..." now it refered to Ahsoka when those words were for Leia! Yes, we know Leia sees Bail as her father and has zero connection with Anakin, but even so, those final words were for her. Canonically Anakin saw Ahsoka as much a younger sister, he always refered Luke as his son and Leia as Luke's sister and thus, his daughter. I dislike reading how people are trying to server Anakin from his family (from Padmé to now Luke and Leia) to place Ahsoka in the picture, guys, you can have both! (sorry for the rant)
I totally get it. My issue with her character mainly started from the fact that she is shoehorned into anything that involves the skywalkers. Imagine if she was in the movies, I would think her arc would be very redundant in the PT because we are closely following the Jedi masters and council as well as politicians as they are central to the plot and conflict. The fact that she wasn't in it establishes she is an afterthought. And I think she wouldn't have been so bad if she was a character with a standalone arc and story but now she's just everywhere and I disliked her introduction as Anakin's padawan because the PT establishes Anakin is quite young and flawed and its his journey we are exploring from little Ani to Darth Vader throughout the six films. He is allowed to be an innocent kid, brooding emotional teenager and also a hero. He is the Chosen One but not once is he a Gary Stu, in fact he goes through phases that annoys other characters like Obi Wan. He isn't overpowered either because we see him suffer two huge defeats in the films. He makes mistakes and the wrong choices and can be selfish at times, and other times he tries to be a good padawan and follow the rules and sometimes he disregards them, he lets others boss him around too, he is scared but wants to be a good father and husband etc etc. you get the idea. He's not perfect and that's the point and I think Hayden nails the repressed monk persona. The only reason Ahsoka was introduced was part of "fixing" Anakin's character and to make him more fun but it seems so unbelievable the council would assign someone like Anakin with an impressionable youngling (who is strangely rebellious despite having the same upbringing as the rest?). I just don't see Anakin as being a big brother to anyone or bantering with kids when he seemed understandably awkward and reserved. Also, Ahsoka's thick plot armor and her continuously inflated significance just confirms how much of a creator's pet she was and her whole character (especially when she's interacting with Anakin) feels very fanficy and the fact that she has almost zero flaws and she takes over the roles of every other important person in Anakin's life in the original story. I try not to pay attention to Filoni's pet because it just feels like pure wish fulfillment for him at this point. We could just have more of other cool female jedi like Shaak Ti, Depa, Aayla, or Yaddle as they were preexisting characters and weren't dependent on the Skywalkers for their arc - because I doubt Ahsoka would have been popular at all if she wasn't Anakin's padawan or acting like an Anakin wannabe (and getting away with it almost always while Anakin the CO was given no special treatment). At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if Ahsoka is revealed to be the new chosen one or she's some insanely overpowered demigod lol. And I mean I guess her fans like her for many reasons but she just feels like a Mary Sue to me like you know a character is doomed when a creator admits he's too attached to the character for anything drastic and openly shows favoritism. Let's be honest she is kind of a nepo baby and acts like one too in the SWU. I guess some people are just seeing her as one now but I always thought she would be a Mary Sue because even the emotional moments she has and the few hardships or "deep" moments she gets is just by interacting with the Skywalkers or just dealing with things everyone else is going through. So I don't really feel the emotional value if she tells Luke he is like her father when literally anyone else who knew him could have said that. At least characters like Boba don't rely on mentioning Anakin in everything they appear in. I don't think her arc would even be well developed if she was detached from the existing prequel characters so it's like she just reinforces the same emotions we should feel except she's supposed to be fun and badass so the audience and her fans would empathize with the events more.
Like do people even really like her screentime in Rebels except from her fight with Anakin? And that scene's so memorable because it's with Anakin, a much more realistic and developed character. It's really Anakin who carries the scene and the emotional impact. Replace Ahsoka with any other padawan and it seems like she has no inherent value. She only seems to shine in moments she is interacting with PT era characters due to the backstory and flashbacks and the rest of the time she's just a token strong female jedi character. What is Ahsoka when she is not breaking Jedi rules constantly like she's special or getting in Anakin's business or running into other characters and reminiscing about the past? I could watch a standalone show on Anakin, Padme, Obi Wan, Qui Gon, Yoda or even Dooku just in their solo adventures because they bring a slightly new perspective to the SWU and there's some room for individuality. I could be wrong maybe they explored some of her personal ambitions than being a Jedi and making Anakin proud but I'm really not interested when her role is just so interchangeable. Even Padme has an entire movie around her (TPM) where we see more about her. Despite being Anakin's love interest, we can see how she is a main character and can carry a film without any romance with Anakin. Same with Obi-Wan. He had an entire movie solving mysteries and plots while Anakin and Padme were romancing. That's why they should be the main prequel trio because its always been two force sensitives and a non-force sensitive member. Just like Han, Padme brings a new perspective and skills in the team.
I wouldn't be too bothered about such claims as they always existed. Ahsoka is closer to Anakin than Obi Wan, Padme, Leia and now more than Luke. It's sad and funny how far Filoni will bend space and time to make room for the OC. As far as I'm concerned, she doesn't exist.
This channel has some good videos on her and I highly recommend these: part 1 and part 2

Tales of the Jedi overall reaction:  Not too bad for a Felony show!  I don’t really feel like I learned anything new that I didn’t already know, but it was interesting to have trailer-style animated versions of the events, even if there wasn’t enough detail to really do anything with any of this. There was about as much anti-Jedi stuff as I was expecting, and it falls apart when you consider the question of, “Well, what were they supposed to do?” because Star Wars is a series where actions have consequences and non-actions have consequences, too.  But it’s nothing that I don’t feel like I can view it through the lens of, “Yaddle was probably feeling a lot of guilt about Qui-Gon and it’s reasonable that she’s trying to reach out to Dooku, so she’s being sympathetic.” even if I know that’s not Felony’s intention. But also, eh, if their worst crime is that they listen to the Senate, then you also have to put Bail Organa in the stocks right next to them, or if their worst crime is that they were dismissive of Qui-Gon or Dooku, both of whom we never actually see provide any evidence and even in TPM, Yoda rightly calls Qui-Gon out for presuming to know exactly what’s going on when he doesn’t actually know, then I’m fine with TOTJ’s existence. And I did very much enjoy the way Anakin’s intensity was harsh, like I legitimately enjoy how easy it would be to look at him and say he was hurting Ahsoka, he was borderline abusing her and shocking her into unconsciousness for an hour at a time, like that gives people permanent brain damage, but we all goddamned know that this is a fictional story with themes and context that don’t strictly adhere to the laws of physics in real life, so we understand that even if Anakin doesn’t know the future, some part of him is driven to protect her, to help her protect herself, even if it seems kind of awful in the moment.  That this genuinely is going to help save her life and it shows Anakin’s love for her. And I loved the “You’re right on time.”  “Really, I thought I was late.”  “That’s what I meant.” lineage reference, that was a JOY. And I loved that Yaddle got her moment to be badass. ALSO DOOKU/JOCASTA NATION RISE, WE GOT A CUTE MOMENT!!!

Star Wars: The Living Force by John Jackson Miller
I was incredibly wary about this book when it was first announced and remained wary of it to the point I broke my own policy of not posting a WIP so I could say, “No, that’s irrelevant to my fic as I began posting before it was published.” I was wary partly because of the blurb and partly because I didn’t (and don’t) trust the author about the Jedi. That was based solely on how he described the Order in A New Dawn, which is not exactly one of my favorite Star Wars books for several reasons. But someone whose taste I trust (aka @gffa) did enjoy The Living Force, so I checked it out of the library.
Overall: I enjoyed it. It was a fun romp and a solid Star Wars book. That said, the cast was really too large to dive in-depth into pretty much anyone’s characters except the girl Depa was trying to save. The girl was probably the most well-rounded of everyone, including the Jedi. The villain was very much a one-note. And part of my problem may have been that ultimately the book felt like it couldn’t do anything. There was no sense of danger or urgency; of course everyone would survive and the bad guys fail. It felt like it should have been character-driven and yet it wasn’t. It is also very clearly a “TPM came out 25 years ago, so we have to mark that somehow” book.
Things I disliked:
1) the author could do with a dive into what Lucas says about the Order and what attachments mean. This guy seems to think they mean connections with other people when that is manifestly not what they mean; the High Republic books state this over and over and over again, so it’s not an “expanded universe doesn’t understand” thing. It’s very much an author thing.
2) Sifo-Dyas… just didn’t make much sense being brought up as a Problem. That came out of nowhere. So did the disloyalty of the caretaker.
3) Qui-Gon is very much in the line of fanon maverick instead of the movie’s stubborn, rude, and often arrogant but still somehow kind and wise man. He’s not the character I fell in love with, in other words.
4) I’m well and truly puzzled why Depa didn’t use telekinesis to pull the comlink to her and turning it off in the climax of the book. We know she can use telekinesis. We know Jedi can do that in general; it's all over the place. So why didn’t she? She spent a lot of the book strangely de-powered.
Things I liked: There were some very good moments here. I liked the look at the worldbuilding and buereocracy. I like Jedi being Jedi and by each of them somehow getting involved in separate things that the threads came together at the end. (Of course they did. That was obvious pretty early on.) The book was more-or-less: ten Jedi help solve one world’s problems because they each somehow managed to connect with a different person in need of help in a way that will solve the plot’s problems later. Which is fine; sometimes I really do want predicatable. As I said, it’s not a bad book but I’m not sure if me being a writer helped me see the seams more clearly. I did expect the outpost to close regardless (which would have made the entire book feel futile) and it did but not quite in the way I thought and it’s a way that worked.
I am glad Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan were cameos instead of taking over. And there was room for a lot of nuance into the Order, top-down versus bottom-up view of how to best help.
Yaddle’s reversal of the “fear leads to hate” into “Courage leads to peace. Peace leads to love. Love leads to healing.” It’s a part of a longer quote. And those two paragraphs are the best part of the book.
Depa Billaba (You all know me. Of course she’d get her own section!)
When she was off doing her own undercover mission with the pirates, I thought that was cool and that Miller understood her character. And I’m folding it into what I take as canon; it matches well with the rest of her non-show appearances in Disney canon. I didn’t like a lot of the follow-through. (This ties into some of the reasons I dislike A New Dawn; I don’t think he writes women well.) I’m perfectly fine with her being captured. But after that, it felt like Miller didn’t know what to do with her. And her uncertainties and not taking a Padawan earlier because she was seemingly afraid to* and her talk with Mace about attachments (a conversation that makes absolutely zero sense given they are both on the High Council)… just don’t work. It felt like a faint retelling of much of her character arc in the Kanan comics. She also didn’t have the sense of humor she did there. Ultimately, I’m unsatisfied. Her plotline started off as something important and then fizzled by the end.
*Until that was brought up as why Depa was so driven to investigate the pirates in the region, I’d assumed it was because she was orphaned by said pirates. It would have made more sense.
On the other hand, some of the things I was worried about didn’t occur. We got nothing about her sister Sar Labooda (who may as well not exist apart from that mention in an encyclopedia and her appearance and death in the arena on Geonosis in AotC). We got nothing about Depa’s apprenticeship with Mace. We know pretty much nothing else about Chalacta apart from a mantra and that the Republic doesn’t seem to much care about its region of space. So all of that is more or less free space.
(Though her timeline is still more than a bit fuzzy and messed up. I maintain that she should not have been on the Council in the Master and Apprentice novel; she should have been the one brought on when Qui-Gon refused the seat. I even checked out Star Wars Timelines to see if that book shed any light on the matter; it doesn’t as the only time she’s mentioned is her death, which was very neatly worded to apply to either the Kanan comics or the Bad Batch show.)
All in all, I’m glad I read the book ,and I did enjoy it, but I don’t plan to buy it until it’s out in paperback.

Tales of the Jedi: Dooku Thoughts
I love that Dooku’s portion of episodes was just stories about how the actions of these father’s led to suffering for their sons while underscoring the importance of Qui-Gon as the one part of Dooku’s heart he got to keep.
The Senator in “Justice” kept his son siloed away from all the poor choices he was making so that the boy would never know anything but what being the son of a Senator brought him. And yet when the boy did learn, he sided with those who were suffering. He wasn’t angry. He understood that they had been dealt a terrible blow by his father and wanted to see that changed.
However, he still loved his dad, so when given the chance to do anything to help protect him from those choices leading to his death, he did. Even if all he did was provide a sympathetic face because Qui-Gon understood he wasn’t getting through to his own father figure and wanted to protect him from making a terrible choice himself. Which is hardly the first time that’s happened because in Dooku: Jedi Lost, a 14 year old Qui-Gon has to keep his master from killing an assassin that threatened to murder him just because he was 14. It’s this dangerous part of Dooku that Qui-Gon can stop, but also seems to have gotten harder, even for him.
Then in “Choice”, we see how, even when a pair are on the same page, their choices can have unseen effects. Be this Dooku’s choice of figuring out how a fellow Jedi died, against Council orders as Mace helpfully notes, or how choosing to commit murder might cost a man someone important to him. Because those guards had a clear, concise plan that was working until some Jedi couldn’t let it go.
And what did it get their supposed leader? The Senator was killed, which would be no small loss for them since the man was selling out their home to the the control of others, but it also cost him his... son? Partner? Really not certain what the relationship was there, but it was clear that he didn’t expect him to die like that. Despite killing a Jedi, their senator and attacking two more Jedi, he still expected them both to make it through everything.
And it’s in “The Sith Lord” where we see Dooku embody the roles of both those fathers. Like the guard, he is acting on a mission he feels is justified because the Order he was once a part of had allowed themselves to become the weapon of a Senate that ignored Outer Rim planets like his own. They’d become blind to a clear warning from Qui-Gon about the Sith--a problem Dooku knew to exist because he was working with the Sith Master himself.
But he’s still a dad.
He’s still someone who stopped by the Temple and saw his old Padawan. He still loved the boy. He still believed like the other fathers that his future would involve the other man because, sure, he was siding with the Sith, but it was for a cause he believed he could sway Qui-Gon into joining up with. In the eyes of Sheev, the man seemed to be consolidating power underneath him but honestly? It just seemed like Dooku wanted his boy with him. Because even in Master & Apprentice, he had made the same offer to his other padawan, Rael Averross.
He never pictured a world where one son would turn him down any more than he pictured a world where he wouldn’t have the other out there, regardless. He didn’t think his actions would ever cost him so much because he was right. The Council was blind and too heavily tied to the Senate. Qui-Gon agreed. Hell, even Yaddle said she agreed. Being right, even siding with the Sith, wasn’t supposed to cost him the man he used to visit a tree at the Temple with.
And you know that while it’s not a thought he seems to let himself have often, in Attack of the Clones, when he does--for that brief moment where he looks ready to cry over that death like it hasn’t been ten years since Qui-Gon died--it’s one of the most devastating moments for him because whether he means Qui-Gon helping his causes or just being able to pull him from the darkside just one more time... it doesn’t matter because he’s gone thanks in part to Dooku, who just never thought that was possible.

I just finished watching Tales of the Jedi and I have a lot of words so SPOILER ALERT if you haven't watched it.
I don't want to put this under a read more because I feel like that'll just make people ignore the post so please, if you haven't filtered spoilers and don't want to be spoiled, close your eyes and scroll past this fast :D
I'll be as coherent as I can 😅
First off I am blown. Blown away by this. I'm in awe at how much Star Wars can make me feel and how this is the only franchise that will do this to me.
Episode one, I cried. Baby 'Soka, I shall protect you from everything even though you shall be the one protecting me even with thou chubby baby legs. But when the end credits rolled and Ahsoka's theme played, I teared up. I hadn't cried with Star Wars ever since Crosshair was left on Kamino!! For a moment, I was nine years old watching The Clone Wars in the movie theater with my brother all over again 🥺
Now... Dooku. I hate him. I love him. I love to hate him. I hate to love him. I love Yaddle more (seriously, Yaddle my beloved, I'm not over that). And the way I howled when I realized some of the events were set in TPM?! I mean, animated TPM Qui Gon?! MY CHILDHOOD-
The sadness that Dooku felt at losing Qui Gon, and the scene at the tree felt so surreal. I would have loved to see Dooku's fall to the Dark Side in much more detail but this is in no way a complaint; I love the execution and the short story format, and I felt the setting was exposed pretty clearly and just- AGH.
Also, that scene where Dooku tells the guy from Raxus he can kind of understand his point of view, and while he talks, his face is lit red and the background behind him is dark - *faints* I love it when a scene can visually reflect a character's inner turmoils. 10/10
I still love Yaddle more.
and Mace Windu was fuckin' amazing in this, as he always is. We stan Mace Windu in this house - holy crap.
Now. Now. NOW.
Tales of the Jedi is truly special because, while many will like to dismiss nostalgia factor as pure frivolity, it's the reason I and possibly others feel so intensely right now.
We saw Ahsoka again, as well as Obi-Wan, Anakin, Rex, Jesse. Characters I watched as a kid, who have shaped me in one way or another; we see them grwo with the course of the mini series, and we can tell the context and feel either joy or pain, mostly pain by the end. I had no clue that the training montages with Rex and the boys would lead so smoothly (and so painfully) back to Order 66.
There's a sequence I will now watch with even more pain!! Thank you, Felony.
Also DEPA BILLABA AND CALEB DUME. Guys. The incoherent noises I made at seeing them. I yelled and cried and fangirled and asdkjhañksjdghañsdbgj it was gorgeous to see them. Their cameo didn't even have words, they were just there and it made sense and it felt nice and I love it. Same with Plo and Yoda.
And I respect Ahsoka way more now knowing she worked hard days under the sun. Respect to my queen. UGH and the pain of knowing she was at Padmé's procession because they were friends, having Bail tell her there was nothing she could have done for them (isn't Bail Organa just the best, most comforting character in the franchise?)
And that inquisitor - I was bummed that it ended so quickly. People, I'm a slut for Percy de Rolo, and then you give me an inquisitor with a bird like mask and a deep voice? AÑISDJHGFAÑSBJGFDA anyways ummm Ahsoka was a badass, as usual, and I really wanted to smack the dude who turned her in.
Hehes, I really hope not to have rambled too much. I'm still not over it, these are just my thoughts on the whole series. Soon, I'm going to rewatch it with a bag of popcorn.

An Essential Aspect of Gravity Is Not Being Afraid To Fall
The next part of Aran’s background story. The previous part is here and titled ‘The Only Thing Keeping Me Here Is Gravity’.
AO3
Chapter 1: Coruscant
Summary:
Aran has a headache.
One that they need the help of their friends to solve.
Can Aran let them break down their walls to let them help? Can they let themselves be that vulnerable and reveal more than they have in over a decade?
Aran had a headache.
They had endured many kinds of headaches before. The ache when they didn’t sleep for several days or when they didn’t drink enough. The throbbing ache when they got into a fight that they could barely take care of themselves and their opponents managed to smack them around a bit. The sharp pain when they had to endure the idiocy of fools for too long or see Purse’s dumb face. The sudden flare whenever they saw Yaddle’s speeder and felt a moment of panic that she would run it into them. Again.
No, this headache was different.
This one made Aran want to tear the swaffle house apart piece by piece. The knowledge that not only would Wolffe hunt him down for destroying one of his sources of income but also that it would make Chad sad, ensured that Aran kept a tight leash on their violent impulse. Their hands were curled into tight fists under the table where they sat with Chad, Purse and Kit and their leg was bouncing up and down with all the pent up energy Aran was trying to contain.
The doors of the swaffle house opened and Aran twitched. They scowled underneath their beskar helmet. A group coming in to order their cafs. Not the one Aran was looking for. They didn’t know how much longer they could keep waiting.
“Aran would you pay attention for five seconds and help us?”
Almost reluctantly, they turned their visor away from the door and focused on their friends sitting in the booth with them. Aran sneered at the clone with the purple streak in his hair and they snapped, “What? Already tired of blackmailing the chancellor candidate?”
Purse bristled at the open hostility in Aran’s voice until Chad raised his hands next to his clone brother.
“Easy there, bro,” Chad laughed with an easy smile. “How about another round of waffles and caf?”
Usually, the blonde clones smile and silly square shades could calm Aran down. Chad had the ability to worm himself through their beskar and unravel any tension usually festering inside them. Today though, Aran felt their hackles rise.
They felt their temper flare even more brightly. Easy? How were they supposed to rest easy? Stay calm? Impossible.
Aran didn’t get a chance to snarl at Chad. Beside them, Kit pressed his large green hand against their vambrace. The beskar pressed down against their arm, creaing a familiar pressure that brought their attention to the smiling jedi.
“Peace, Aran. We’re not your enemies,” Kit murmured and slowly eased up on the pressure he had exerted on Aran’s arm. They felt some of the tension bleed out of them as the pressure eased and Aran scowled when they wanted to reach out and push Kit’s hand back down on their vambrace. Keep the pressure there and help them focus. “What is troubling you?”
Aran felt a flash of shame race through them. These were their friends. How did Aran expect them to understand and put up with their temper if they didn’t explain themselves? The shame was quickly replaced by embarrassment and unease. It wasn’t that they didn’t trust these three. They had proven themselves trustworthy many times over. Aran just… couldn’t speak about the majority of their life. Habit and precaution. It was hard to let anyone that close again.
Still, they had to risk that first step if they wanted to keep these three fools close.
They leaned back in their seat with a small shake of their head and muttered, “I hired someone to check on a comm buoy I had placed years ago. My messages weren’t being answered and since it wasn’t on my end, it had to be the buoy.”
“Happens all the time, bucket-head,” Purse grumbled and Aran sneered behind their helmet. Purse had his own underground organization or information network. If one could even describe it as that. Aran didn’t know how he did it, but they knew he managed to blackmail what felt like half of Coruscant while the other half provided Purse with information.
“I don’t hire toadying thugs like you do,” Aran growled and smirked when Purse lurched to his feet, reaching for them. Only for Chad to yank Purse back into his seat. Don’t confuse my courier with your gallivanting goons.”
Before Chad or Kit could stop him, Purse had picked up the salt shaker and hurled it across the table at Aran. The shaker shattered against their helmet and their head jerked back at the impact. There was a quiet hiss as salt trickled down along the beskar and fell to the floor. The swaffle house had fallen silent as the other occupants watched their booth warily. Aran slowly raised their hands to brush the salt off of themself.
“That could have hurt someone.”
“Your head is too big for me to miss and your beskar is too high grade for anything to seriously hurt you,” Purse snapped back and Aran lunged forward to grab the annoying man. This time Kit and Chad managed to grab both of them and wrestle them back into their seats. Purse glared across the table and Aran curled their hands so tightly, their leather gloves creaked and it hurt.
“Alright, come on guys,” Chad said and he kept a firm grip on Purse’s shoulder. “You’ll get us thrown out of swaffle house again and where else am I going to plan my campaign with you three?”
“Anywhere else except here.”
The four of them looked up to see Wolffe standing next to their booth with a datapad in his hand. Compared to the last time Aran had seen Wolffe, he looked a little more well-rested. Probably helped that the senate was actually starting to improve their treatment of the clones. Aran flinched when Wolffe turned his gray and brown gaze onto them with a raised brow.
“Are you done terrifying my customers now?” he drawled in such a done-with-your-bullshit tone that Aran couldn’t help but think of Fox. They wanted to sink into their seat and disappear. Instead, they gave a silent nod and Wolffe declared, “Good because apparently this little display was bad enough that some dude asked me to give you this.”
Wolffe held out the datapad and Aran stared at it wordlessly. He… Their pilot had… Aran ripped the datapad out of Wolffe’s hand and snarled, “I am going to hunt him down later.”
Wolffe shrugged and walked away as Aran quickly scrolled through the information on the datapad. Kit leaned closer to take a peek over their shoulder and asked, “So, did he fix the buoy?”
Aran stared at the words and numbers on the datapad screen. Their headache throbbed painfully in their temples. That couldn’t be right. It was impossible. Aran’s grip tightened on the pad and they hissed, “The buoy isn’t broken. It’s in perfect working order.”
Across from them, Chad tilted their head with a confused frown.
“Then your messages are getting through, but no one is answering?”
Aran gave a sharp nod as their eyes skimmed the message again and again. Trying to find one mistake. Anything wrong. Anything to prove that the fault lay on Aran’s end or with the buoy. They finally raised their gaze when Purse let out a derisive snort.
“So, someone is leaving you on read. What’s the big deal? Never had someone ghost you before?” Purse mocked them. The three of them jumped when the datapad cracked in Aran’s grip. They dropped it onto the table and tried to ignore the sight of their hand shaking slightly.
Aran’s commlink was working fine. The buoy was working fine. That only left one possible end that might be broken and Aran couldn’t think of a good reason why it would be left broken for so long.
That only left bad reasons.
Bad reasons that Aran wasn’t sure they could face alone.
“Aran? Bro, you alright there?”
They slowly focused on the three sitting around them. All three of them were staring at him in concern. Even Purse’s antagonistic manner had morphed into one of confusion and worry. Aran wasn’t alone anymore. They had friends and allies they could call on.
“Can I ask for your help?”
They almost didn’t recognize their own voice. It sounded so quiet and unsure of itself. So breathy and pained.
Aran hated it.
At the same time all three of them straightened in their seats. Kit reached out and placed his hand on Aran’s vambrace again. They leaned into that touch and Kit declared, “Of course! What can we do for you, bro?”
Chad and Purse let our their own exclamations of support and Aran felt their shoulders slump with relief. They turned their visor onto Chad and asked, “What about your campaign?”
Chad scoffed, waving a hand at them.
“Anything I can’t handle over comms can be taken care of by our awesome support team back here,” he said with a grin and a wink. “I have a lot of brothers I can delegate tasks too.”
Purse let out a bark of laughter.
“Cody and Fives are going to be so upset with you!”
The two bickered lightheartedly while Aran leaned back in their seat. The headache was still there. It just didn’t feel as painful anymore now that they knew they wouldn’t have to shoulder it alone.
They weren’t alone.

Is there any evidence that people in Star Wars from the core planets have a arrogant or snobbish attitude to "outsiders"? I mean the example I can think of is Jar Jar, although he was from Naboo which was a core planet, and yet everyone (all humans I notice) dismiss him except the child characters. I do believe the Darth Plagueis novel mentions that the Galactic Senate was biased in favour of humans so maybe that reflects some social or institutional prejudice.
Well, before I get into this, I want to correct a misconception that Naboo is a Core World. It actually is a Mid Rim planet that is so far removed it is called "The Jewel of the Outer Rim." I talk some about how important that is here. Naboo is not considered by many to be civilized.
It is clear that the "Outer Rim Territories" are just that: Territories, without proper representation in the Republic, and without receiving full benefits. We see this implied in what Qui-Gon says to Shmi that if Anakin had been born in the Republic he would have been found early. And I don't think he just means that if Anakin had not been born on Tatooine specifically...simply being from the Outer Rim is often quite enough to be abandoned. And given Padme's comments about the Republic's anti-slavery laws, they ought to have a presence here, they just don't.
Also, where specism is concerned, Jar Jar becomes a junior representative in the Galactic Senate. This means he represented a minority group for his sector. Only Padme is allowed to vote though. Jar jar just represents. Padme likely listens to his input, but not every senator would. (Before her, did the Gungans even have representation?) The above likely plays out in many, many sectors where minorities have less input. Also, before joining the Senate, Jar Jar has to try and change how he spoke. He would be looked down on for his accent/dialect
In AotC, we see that there are planets separating from the Republic. We are never given much explanation in that movie as to why. However, other sources do demonstrate that the Outer Rim planets felt shafted while the Core Worlds benefited. In the Jedi Path, the Jedi outright say that the Inner Rim "mark the outermost limits of what most citizens consider civilizations." Clearly there is a lack of respect for the peoples towards the Outer Rim. And while the separatists were not exclusively Outer Rimmers, it’s no wonder many planets wanted to secede.
Some people said the Republic was too bloated. Maybe they hoped a smaller confederacy would mean getting to have more say. I bet that appealed to many minorities who we’ve already established we’re shafted even sometimes within their own sector.
And there are other issues that arise from all this: The Jedi go where the Senate sends them. Requests for help go through the Senate. This means that what happened is that the more influential and wealthy planets, who have more connections, tended to be disproportionately helped. I talk about this a bit here. In that post, I mention that Anakin has a vision of freeing slaves on Tatooine. This vision was interpreted as not being about freeing slaves on Tatooine, but about Anakin and Obi-Wan going to help Yaddle on a mission to Mawan. Anakin is rebuked for taking the vision literally, and while the vision was about going to Mawan, I think there is a deeper meaning to be found here. To quote myself:
A deliberate parallel is drawn in that vision between what is happening on Mawan, and what could happen on Tatooine. Both are planets taken over by Hutts, both have no way of enforcing justice, but only one is getting Senate help.
What was done on Mawan, could, and should have been done on Tatooine. Nevertheless, and unsurprisingly, no one bothers to suggest that the vision could have been talking about that as well. It would take too much effort. The cost-benefit analysis doesn’t add up. No one cares about people on a planet that cannot provide much obvious economic support, (outside of that dratted slave-trade), and which doesn’t catch the public eye, or stir controversial opinion. It’s just so much easier to ignore it. Why rock the boat?
Ultimately, Jar Jar really is an excellent example of these prejudices. So is what happens in TPM in general. Firstly, it demonstrates that there was some anti-nonhuman, speciesist sentiment, which we see expressed towards the Gungans. Additionally, the Nabooans struggle to be taken seriously by those who think that those Mid Rim/Outer Rim backwaters are uncivilized. Would the Trade Federation get away with what they try to do if they blocked trade from a Core World planet?
We see Qui-Gon snap at Jar Jar "the ability to speak does not make you intelligent." He never apologizes for this. Obi-Wan then says, "What's this" to which Qui-Gon replies "A local." and talks as if Jar Jar isn't there. However, annoying Jar Jar is, he is being polite; there's no call to treat him like this. Moreover, when Jar Jar is discovered to have information that can help them, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan bully him into helping instead of talking to him kindly.
Later on, we see Qui-Gon dismiss Padme when she says the Queen won't approve of what he is doing, and that Padme, apparently the Queen's representative, ought to trust his judgement. He is unbelievable dismissive. In doing so, he disrespects the ruler of a sovereign planet. Again, there's no call for him to be so arrogant/rude. There are better ways to handle the situation.
I also think we see something of an indictment of this behavior. The war on Naboo could not be won without Padme, who was summarily dismissed by so many, being willing to do what the Jedi didn't. She listens to Jar Jar and respects the Gungans. As a result, she gets an army. She treats Anakin kindly, even before he is shown to have the Force strongly with him. He helps her, and later blows up the Federation ship. These people who are ignored and dismissed are the ones who wind up saving the day, and even temporarily setting back Palpatine's plans.
So basically, yes, many Core-Worlders were prejudiced against people who weren't. There were also some prejudices against different species. And all of this affects the decay of the Republic.

I just finished watching Tales of the Jedi for the 2nd time and I’d like to share my thoughts.
Spoilers for TotJ!!!
The series overall—Animation was ok (I mentioned how Rex/the clone model still looked off here) but overall it was good (especially the environments). THE MUSIC WAS 💯💕 BEAUTIFUL. There were a few things that was kinda like 🤔 but it’s nothing too major and I had some thoughts on what I, personally, would’ve liked to see.
Ep1–Life and Death
—Thought it was good. Baby Ahsoka’s design is similar to the one shown briefly in CW 👍
—The panda dog things were adorable and the food they eat looks SO SIMILAR to Mantell Mix
—The village elder does 3 hand poses (and says something in their native language) when Ahsoka’s mom made a kill, which reminded me of Rebels and the 3 hand poses that opens the portal thing
—Giant cat looked very tiger-y and immediately thought of Jungle Book, though the stories are very different.
Ep2–Justice
—Loved Young Dooku/Quigon duo. Like their designs/interactions, everything, was really good imo
—Dooku wears a cape and not a jedi robe
—Quigon didn’t have his padawan braid but I guess that was time between Padawan/Knight.
—Liked the fact that the senator’s son wasn’t upset about being kidnapped. Loved 2 Ton’s design (the droid)
—clearly sets up Dooku’s fall to the dark side.
Ep3–Choices
—The Mace/Dooku duo was something I’ve wanted since seeing them in Attack of the Clones.
—Mace’s design is also changed slightly (like Anakin/Ahsoka/Obi) to keep up with the better technology. How old is Mace? I honestly don’t know and actually expected him to look a bit younger. Like I know he trained Depa Bilaba (Caleb/Kanan’s master) but, to me, he seemed to be the same age as he was in CW.
—Loved that AotC was more of a noir/detective movie and seemed to continue into this episode (Windu/Dooku solving a jedi murder case).
—I think the guard guy that Mace killed was the son of the guy with the different colored eyes. Which means Mace killed someone’s son and left a father without a child and he also killed Boba’s father Jango, leaving Boba without a father. That’s just my opinion/HC and wasn’t confirmed or anything.
—MACE DID NOT STEAL THE COUNCIL SEAT FROM DOOKU! From context, Dooku has no problem doing things his way and explaining it to the Council. That means this has happened more than the one time we saw in context of this episode. I believe Dooku never really had a chance at a seat on the Council. He believed he did. I think his own ego/shortsightedness blinded Dooku into believing he was guaranteed a spot on the Council
—By now it’s clear that Anakin and Dooku have a lot in common (think RotS when Anakin got upset that he wasn’t a ‘master’ but on the Council)
Ep4–The Sith Lord
—This was my favorite episode!
—MASTER YADDLE!!! FINALLY!!! I believe we first see her in The Phantom Menace when Anakin is brought to the Temple on Coruscant and the jedi are testing him. She appears briefly in the background and has no speaking lines if I remember correctly. I know Yaddle has a different story in Star Wars Legends (the Extended Universe—books/video games etc) but I actually really enjoyed seeing her.
—Her relationship with Dooku seemed really important. Dooku was Yoda’s padawan and my own HC is that Yaddle and Yoda are Grogu’s (Baby Yoda) parents. I believe Yoda/Dooku/Yaddle were kind of like Anakin/Ahsoka/Obiwan respectively. Ahsoka is Anakin’s padawan but also had Obi-wan as a friend/mentor just like Dooku is Yoda’s padawan, but also seemed to be friends with Yaddle.
—Also I believe this was the only episode that is set during one of the movies (Phantom Menace). Dooku talks with Quigon about the Sith Lord (Darth Maul) that he and Obiwan encountered on Tatooine before it changes to Yaddle informing Dooku about Quigon’s funeral (after being killed by Maul on Naboo). She is clearly concerned about Dooku, especially when he says he must let Quigon go as he’s one with the Force. She asks him if he ‘can do this’, to which he responds with ‘what choice have I?’
—Dooku’s always been shown to have great control over his emotions (which is why he doesn’t have sith eyes) but despite that, Yaddle’s concern wins out and she follows him to his meeting with Emperor Palpatine.
—DOOKU LOVED QUIGON JUST LIKE OBI LOVED ANAKIN! His convo with Yaddle earlier (about the tree) clearly showed that. And he was RIGHTLY upset that Palpy had him killed by Maul.
—SHE LEFT THE COUNCIL FOR DOOKU!!! SHE EVEN ADMITTED HE WAS RIGHT!! That is love right there. She clearly had a loving friendship relationship with Dooku for her to leave the Council. And what does Obi-wan tell Satine? ‘Had you said the word, I would’ve left the Jedi Order’. Yaddle probably didn’t think of Dooku in a romantic way (I hope), but she obviously cared about him just as he cared for Quigon.
—YADDLE BEGGED DOOKU TO HELP HER BRING PALPY TO JUSTICE.
—THAT WHOLE FIGHT, JESUS!
—Ok, whoever is in charge of ratings sucks cuz there’s no way that this episode was TV-PG. Yaddle’s death was BRUTAL! Like they didn’t really show the blade connecting, but they showed her lifeless body after, made the saber-on-flesh-sound, and showed Dooku beginning the execution move. JESUS Disney. Shit
Ep5–Practice Makes Perfect
—Seeing young Anakin and mullet-Obiwan in clone armor made me SO HAPPY!!!
—The sass is still there!! AAHHH!!!
—Plo Koon sitting with Yoda, Obiwan and Anakin watching Ahsoka proudly was such a dad-move!!!
—And seeing young Caleb/Kanan and Bilaba at Ahsoka’s training test was amazing! And he was so obviously gushing about Ahsoka to Bilaba when they walked out lol
—MASTER SINUBE!!! GRAMPS!!! Was this before or after that Lightsaber Lost ep?!?!
—Of course Anakin was unimpressed with the test and unintentionally taught her how to survive O66.
—Seeing the clones in phase 1 armor again made me flash back to early CW animation.
—ABSOLUTELY LOVED JESSE’S LITTLE ‘Sorry Commander!’ As it was funny in the moment and tragic when you think about the fact that Jesse lead the turned clones during O66 and was going to kill Ahsoka (and possibly Rex too).
—I think this episode is the only one with a time skip. Loved the transition of the stuns and Ahsoka waking up older and seeing the clones in their phase 2 armor.
—THEY MADE ANAKIN’S TRAINING INTO A GAME!!!
—Then skipped again to O66 with Ahsoka and Rex walking into the hangar full of clones ready to kill them (with Jesse out front).
—Gave me Arcane ep7 Ekko/Jinx vibes TO THE MAX!! (Though if I’m being honest, I preferred Arcane’s version though it’s so close lol).
Ep6–Resolve
—Ok so I think out of all of them, this one’s the worst.
—Don’t get me wrong, it was ok, but out of every ep, I didn’t really care for it.
—My fav part/scene was Padme’s funeral and Bail’s convo with her.
—Ahsoka is living in hiding in a small farming village that has Empire presence I guess.
—Ahsoka has to use the Force to save one of the workers, who realizes Ahsoka is a jedi. Her brother rats Ahsoka out and an Inquisitor comes. From what I’ve heard online, it’s the 6th Brother?? Idk so please correct me if I’m wrong (I believe we’ve seen the 3rd Sister-Reva, 5th Brother, 7th Sister, and the 8th Brother briefly)
—So I’ve never gotten into SW Legends (the Extended Universe), but apparently from what I’ve seen online, this episode is supposed to be an animated version of a book called Ahsoka. It’s basically telling the same story 2 different ways.
—That’s pretty lazy 🤔 to me. Like there are so many other story options (even within just Ahsoka) so it still could’ve worked out 3 v 3 (3 Ahsoka/3 Dooku) eps. I’ve never read the book but I believe it’s about Ahsoka’s time after O66 and how she gets her white lightsabers.
—I heard that the female worker Ahsoka saves is actually black/dark-skinned in the book which is blatant whitewashing (I think I also read that the character was also established as queer). She was replaced by a female with fair skin, straight brown hair and light hazel-y brown eyes. SERIOUSLY?! THE WHITEWASHING HAS TO STOP!!! POC MATTER (in the US, it’s Nov so it’s Native American Heritage month! And Nov 1st was dia de los muertos/day of the dead).
—The Inquisitor’s design looked cool af
—The fight was ok. Reminded me a little of Maul v Obiwan but b/c there was no obvious history it wasn’t very impactful. Liked how he faded away though. And from what I read, he’s voiced by Clancy Brown??? Really!? I love Clancy Brown!! Also it seemed like the Inquisitor knew Ahsoka (he knew her name), though Ahsoka made no connection to him.
I guess those are my main thoughts on the series as a whole and on each episode as well.
What I’d change:
—ep 6 entirely. I’d actually would’ve loved to see how Ahsoka got her second lightsaber instead of the Inquisitor.
—the whitewashed clone model obviously
—So I loved ep4 and Dooku vs Yaddle, BUT! How cool would it have been if Dooku’s saber slowly changed to purple as the fight went on before turning red as he struck down the Jedi Master?? I’m sure that would absolutely go against how lightsabers turn red, having to do with emotions/feelings and that Dooku is great at controlling his own emotions. I just think that would’ve been cool. Though I’m sure that goes against how he actually got them (assuming it’s explained in Legends or something).
—I loved ep1 and baby ‘Soka. But I also love Plo Koon. Would’ve died to see him discover her and talk with her parents/the village elder.
What I’d like to see going forward, assuming there will be a s2 (w/ 6eps):
—MORE CLONE CONTENT!! Gimme a story about Boil going back to Ryloth with Waxer’s armor (post Umbara) and telling Numa what happened to their ‘nera’. Gimme cadet cody/rex bonding! Gimme 99’s creation and demotion to maintenance!! Would also give Disney yet another chance to change the clone model (though if we do get more clone content I highly doubt they would). Gimme Jango/Boba bonding (bonus points for Omega’s creation) I’d like to know SPECIFICALLY what Jango told Boba to make him hate clones. Gimme Wolffe’s demotion from Marshall Commander cuz he lost the whole 104th on the Malevolence. Gimme more clone domestic-life with the boys painting their armor/being w/ their Jedi generals. Just GIMME MORE CLONE BOYS!!! UNWHITEWASHED!!!!
—You can’t tell me that Tales of the Clones wouldn’t be badass lol
—I’d love to see General Grievous’s backstory. From what I’ve seen online, he’s some sort of warrior-hero/savior to his people but the Empire (I think) turned him into what we know as ‘Grievous’. Also that’s not even his name (I forget what it really is, but b/c Grievous sounds like ‘grieve’ I have a bad feeling that it has to do with his people or something).
—Young Yoda and his master. Yoda talks the way he does b/c of his master, which is why Yaddle doesn’t speak the same way (which makes me feel like Baby Yoda/Grogu will sound just like Mando lol).
—Black Krrsantan (Santo-the black wookie form BoBF) or Chewie’s backstory. I know we get a bit of Chewie from Solo: A Star Wars Story and would honestly prefer more Santo content (I think he fights Obiwan in a comic or something) but idk how likely that would be.
—Samuel L. Jackson has stated that he wants to return to Mace Windu/SW and was quoted saying of Mace’s demise- ‘in Star Wars, people survive getting their hands chopped off all the time. So it’s possible,” (or something like that—point is, he thinks Mace could’ve survived his fall/chopped limb). Would love to see Mace post O66 if he in fact, lives.
—Grogu teaching younglings the Jedi and Mandalorian ways, diving into his backstory pre-Mando. I HC that he’s Yaddle and Yoda’s son. It would also give SW a chance to tell a story post—the Skywalker saga timeline (Phantom Menace all the way through to the Rise of Skywalker), since Grogu can out-live the characters in the sequel trilogy.
—I’d like to see High Republic era stuff. I know little to nothing about that era but from fanart I’ve seen, it looks dope af (I know the new animated show Young Jedi Adventures is supposed to be set during that era, but it’s aimed for preschoolers so obviously I’d like something more adult set in that era—but I’m still going to check it out when it releases! Lol)
—I played the SW computer game The Old Republic so I’d also love anything set during that era as well (Master Satele Shan, Master Orgus Din, etc)
So I think that’s most of my thoughts on Tales of the Jedi. I definitely like it more than Bad Batch but not sure if it’s better than CW (to me they are equal). Thanks to all that have made it through this post. I promise I’ll be back with a fic real soon. Thanks everyone!

Star Wars thus far including all of the offshoots and fill ins, needed or not.
Ho-hum... Star Wars critique, always a good chance to say something controversial that sets off a snowball of hatred that gathers pace and victims along the way.
So Spoilers ahead... Read at your own peril.
I have just watched the Disney Plus series Tales of the Jedi and was left with mixed feelings. There is no doubt that it is a beautifully done series, with some scenes of real emotional resonance, but there were also some scenes that seemed contrived to a level that was almost silly. Let's start with a breakdown of the series and episode one, the birth of Ahsoka. Infant Ahsoka is strapped to her Mother's chest while the woman goes out hunting and also to teach her infant daughter about the realities of life and death. With the loud crack of a rifle that could not have been healthy for Ahsoka's ears (where ever they would be under her head tails), the woman takes down a creature that looks to be half deer and half kangaroo. With the slowly dying creature breathing it's last breaths, Mummy dearest takes her hunting knife and pierces the creature's heart, while making Ahsoka watch. While preparing the carcass of her kill, from the forest a large space tiger stalks them and after a brief fight, steals Ahsoka away as a tasty snack to be eaten away from her Mother. All does not go well for the creature and after licking it's wounds inflicted by the woman's knife, the animal snarls and steps forward to eat the child, whereupon the space tiger is suddenly tamed by the infant Jedi and returns the child to her parents... Who promptly report and then lose their daughter to a cult of religious maniacs with teachings so unhealthy, they are repeatedly betrayed by or to yet more fundamentalist nutjobs known as Sith lords. The joy of religion.
Which leads us nicely into the fall of the grumpy Jedi Knight, Count Dooku, when he sees first hand where the republic is failing it's people, because quite obviously seeing corruption and poverty in politics is all that it takes to drive an otherwise nice Jedi into the embrace of an evil maniac. I will admit that it was interesting seeing Dooku working with his young padowan Qui-Gon Jinn and then later seeing him along side his fellow Jedi Knight Mace Windu, but I am forced to ask, was this something that we really needed? But this was not the most ridiculous aspect of the story thus far, oh no, it is about to get a whole lot more silly. Having seen Dooku repel the attack of Yoda in Attack of the Clones, we get to see him standing off with Yaddle, a woman of the same species as Yoda (Grogu's Mummy? Oh come on, Have you not considered this given that this is Star Wars, where every character is unfathomably related rather tenuously to someone else in the story? It is like Hill-billy space wizards in this saga.) but with the ability to speak clearly in normal sentences. Does this imply that Yoda is perhaps a little brain addled or perhaps maintains his distinctive and often torturous speech pattern by choice, maybe just to be a dick? This is something that our friends at Robot Chicken have previously asked, when in a short skit they had a Clone Trooper asking Yoda to make his commands more precise to save time.
With Yaddle squished by a giant grinning, toothed door and then sliced in twain by Dooku's lightsabre, we move back again to Ahsoka. This is for her to take a combat test, a terribly important combat test no doubt given that there is a lot of the self aggrandised Jedi Council (A small point of irritation, why the fuck was Kanan and his Master Depa Billaba there to see Ahsoka take her test? Oh, she was on the Jedi Council too, but how does this not fuck with the Rebels time line of him meeting Ahsoka for the first time in the future?) there to see it. As always we see Anakin running late and when Ahsoka passes her test, he is his usual toxic self and can barely bring himself to offer her his congratulations on her achievement. Crybaby Anakin instead insists that he offers her some 'real training' in the form of a group of Clones shooting at her, the same Clones she then faces after Order 66. Hearing Jesse apologise to her for stunning her, was both hilarious and heart wrenching, especially when they cut to Ahsoka and Rex on the crashing Venator destroyer from the final show in the Clone Wars series.
I may sound a little harsh with this next statement, but to my mind this was not a scene we really needed in the cannon and the result was that this felt like them pandering to the question of how she was able to survive Order 66, even though we saw her fighting for her life about the doomed vessel. Yes, it was poignant, but did it do anything other than answer a question that was only ever asked by the most irritated of Clone Wars critics? The final episode of the Jedi Tales series presented us with Ahsoka at Padmé's funeral, which they imply was heavily policed by Clone Troopers, none of which we saw in the movie. When she is spotted by Bail Organa, she vanishes into the crowd, only for him to find her several seconds later. They have a brief discussion about fighting the Empire and we see the defeated and spiritually broken young woman, no doubt with major PTSD, setting off with Rex once again. I did wonder if we would see her spending a brief moment with the Bad Batch, but no, she flees to live on a farm that is being crushed by the Empire. But as stated in Kenobi, the Jedi hunt themselves and cannot help but use their force powers to help people and Ahsoka rescues a colleague from an agricultural accident, revealing her abilities to the locals. Obviously, a sullen and put upon young man (does Filoni feel guilty for enjoying so much male privilege that he feels the need to constantly point out that men are toxic snitches who will turn everyone into the Empire?) grasses Ahsoka up to the Empire who dispatch a fabulous and terrifying looking Inquisitor. However, before we could even begin to get our hopes up, he was almost immediately defeated by an unarmed Ahsoka. He was such a great looking character, he deserved more than the end of Maul like take down he was quickly given.
So what was the point of this show? We know that Ahsoka is Fulcrum in Rebels and that she refused to train Grogu in Mando, yet later told Rey that she had all of the Jedi in her during the ridiculous Rise of Skywalker. Maybe this small series was a prequel to her own show which is coming at some point soon in the future? Maybe this is to explain a possible future appearance in the fantastic Andor show? Or just maybe it was some enjoyable story telling by Filoni, about one of his most beloved characters? This is entirely possibly given that Filoni is being hailed as the saviour of Star Wars by many fans and thus he has been given almost a free reign to create whatever stories he likes and to be honest, I am entirely fine with this because whatever he does, he does it with his heart full of the love of Star Wars. Bless his little Cowboy hat. I did very much enjoy the humour of Rex, Jesse and the boys stood in a circle, shooting their collective loads into Ahsoka... Oh God, that has just created a vision in my head that I really did not want, nor can now get rid of. I think that I just brought up some sick into my mouth!
Ahsoka bukkake aside, it was just a bit of harmless fun. Andor however is in every way that a show can be, utterly perfect. If you disagree with me on this point it is because Andor was not made for you, it was made entirely for me and maybe one or two select fans. I swear to you, this show has everything I love. For example I love the slow burning build up in tension with each episode. I love the subtle Easter eggs dropped into some of the scenes. I really love the complete lack of laser sword wielding religious zealots, but most of all, I love Andor himself. He is flawed and angry and clearly gets himself into some very silly situations, but so what he is Cassian Andor, the dark and brooding Rebel Spy to be. It was in the opener of the series where we see him effectively murder two space rozzas, which was beautifully done. We meet the two cops, who were clearly corrupt, in a brothel and right away they are awful to Cassian, clearly hoping to use their power to get one over on some poor sap hoping to get laid. Cassian leaves and is followed out by the rotten rozzas whereupon he fights back and one of them is killed in the brawl. But as the surviving one knelt before Cassian, begging for his life, I felt my own heart stop and his death was fucking brutal. This is dark and gritty and dark, powerful stuff. This is also to my knowledge the first time that Star Wars has talked about sex workers, which is clearly a thriving business in the Galaxy far far away. Given all that we know about the human species and all of the associated quirks, kinks and weirdos, it is bound to happen that some man (so shoot me for being a misandrist!) somewhere is going to froth at the gusset at the chance to screw some space pussy. Mind you, if Asaaj Ventress arrived at my door looking for a hook up, no wedding ring on my finger would stop me!
Andor also gave us the first ever “SHIT!” rather than the more kid friendly “Poodoo”. The harsh defeated way the word was delivered by the actor in a lovely Scottish accent was again just perfect and this was not the only low grade swear word used in this series. If you use subtitles, as I do, you will have noticed that Cassian calls a broken piece of tech “crap”. There is also several uses of the word bastard or variations there of. But shit is a great word and if used correctly in a screen play, there are no other words that can portray such a sudden and catastrophic failure for a character. That one simple word was uttered and suddenly we knew that this character was right up the creek and very much without a paddle. Yes, yes, I know, Star Wars is for kids... So explain all of the murders, decapitations, torture, racism, violence and religious intolerance? Is that really suitable for nice family entertainment? If you said yes and can let that go without further comment, then a simple, well used and perfectly timed “Shit” is not only welcome, it is to be applauded.
What this current crop of Star Wars is doing though is tying the whole saga together and it is achieving this in ways that are often gentle, occasionally brutal and more often beautiful. Kenobi at moments was heart breaking, but towards the end deeply uplifting. The book of Boba Fett was visual chewing gum, but still a lot of fun. The fabulous Mandalorian storyline is clearly going to tie the original saga to the sequels and I am very happy for it to do that, I quite liked the sequels, well seven and eight mainly. We can all agree that Episode nine was a cluster fuck of a movie that felt more like a platform quest game than a well thought out movie, but it still had some really fun moments and our first real LGBT on screen moment. Which brings me back to Andor and their portrayal of a normal (post genocide of your entire family by a despotic regime!) lesbian relationship. Vel and Cinta are a lovely couple, both complex and loving towards each other. Yet having just watched Episode eight, we see them pushed apart again by the struggle against the Empire and I just know that definitely one or maybe both of them are going to come to a sad end. Broken hearts are a great way to fuel a rebellion.
With four episodes of Andor left to go, I am excited to see where they go next. Obviously it is going to end up with Andor working as a spy for the Rebellion and then his eventual sacrifice along with Jyn Urso. However, we are yet to see him release K2SO from Imperial bondage and we are yet to see him gain his fabulous U-Wing transport. So there is a lot of space for them to fill with story, which can only be a good thing, even if the outcome is so painfully sad for Cassian.
I have mentioned Kenobi in passing and it was a lovely series, completely stolen by the young girl portraying a child Leia. She was fantastic and it would greatly sadden me if we never see her again in role. There is not much more that Kenobi can say, but I am sure that if demand was there, they would provide. However, with Ahsoka still to come and likely put an end to the questions left by Rebels, we still have an awful lot of fabulous Star Wars to look forwards to, including the series Acolyte, which hints at a Dark Side protagonist... I cannot wait.
It is truly a wonderful time to be a Star Wars fan.

Hello everyone! Happy Star Wars Day!
Welcome back to Krax Watches. Today we’re watching Tales of the Jedi
Episode 1 —
Ashoka’s mom is gorgeous
The baby noises are so precious oh my god stop
I don’t know why the accents threw me off a bit, but it makes sense that Ashoka might not have an accent since she was raised in the Jedi temple
This animation and imagery is beautiful
Baby Ahsoka is fully unphased by the blaster shot right by her head
Ahsoka’s mom being a hunter in their society is awesome
Pav Ti talking to baby Ahsoka like a little adult is wonderful
Pav Ti is my fucking hero. Roaring at the saber tooth tiger
Whatever those cat panda thing are, I want one
I did not except the saber toothed tiger to take baby Soka with it
How to Train Your Saber Toothed Tiger
I literally can not handle her teeny tiny little lekku and her chubby wubby cheeks and her big sparkly eyes
It’s giving Diego from Ice Age
8/10 great mini story
Episode 2 —
Dooku’s hair is… something
Starting off kinda creepy ghost town vibes huh
That was a dog. Like a regular ass dog
Yee old saloon
Young Qui Gon looks like the cave man from Ice Age… wtf
Ooh a moral quandary
Cone heads
Blue light saber Dooku, I thought for sure he’s be a green
It’s interesting to see how far back it goes, the opinion that Jedi serve the senate and not the people
Dooku fully yeeted Qui Gon, I was not expecting that
Based on Dooku’s dark brown robes, he’s in the beginning to turn to the dark side phase like Anakin
Damn I was really hoping Dooku had a last name… or a first name? Idk I wanted a full name
7/10 though provoking but I wanted a little more
Episode 3 —
It is so strange to think that Dooku and Mace had an actual friendship
Of course Mace Windu would be a stickler for the rules
I’m sure these Raxus guys are bad guys or something, but their uniforms are cool
I feel like these people definitely killed Master Katri, but like why?
Dooku is in his fuck around and find out era
Ah yes, the beloved purple light label
“I will have the truth” … and the thing from the last episode about irradiating people like the evil senator. Dooku is every bit as blunt and rash as Anakin but like way more graceful about it
Uuugh how things could have been different if Mace was more open minded about the corruption taking root in the Jedi Order
Fun to see some of our favorite Jedi again… too bad it’s at a funeral
I don’t doubt that Mace did not know he was up for Master Katri’s council seat… but also he could have had an idea that he was in consideration
8/10 I love a good murder mystery with question authority undertones
Episode 4 —
How the FUCK would you find anything in that archive
Ooooooh Master Sifo Dias … Kamino???? Deleted?
Jocasta!!!
Yaddle!!!!
LIAM NEESON
Dooku’s been warning them about coming darkness… irony is so painful
Ahhhhhh Dooku hasn’t even met his grand-padawan yet
“You’re always singing his praises”
“They grow up so fast”
Qui Gon’s like… hey I’m concerned about this. Council is like… sounds fake but okay. We’ll do “something” about it…. Corporate mentality. SMH
Oh my god… Why did I not realize when he said Sith Lord on Tatooine that this was happening right after episode one
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH no no no no no
Dooku wanted to turn Qui Gon to the dark side
Is…. Dooku going to fight Yaddle….
Fuck this is such an ugly situation
Can you imagine if Yaddle had used The Force to yank Palpatine’s hood off and exposed him early like this
AAAAAHHHHH Yaddle is so wise. She is stepped down from the council
Oh my fucking god…….. she got smooshed!
Oh just kidding! Fuck ‘em up Yaddle!
Fuck that just hurts my heart so much
10/10 made me understand a lot about Dooku and broke my heart
Episode 5 —
All of Ahsoka’s dads in the same waiting room
Oh mullet Obi Wan, how I’ve missed you
Love this outfit, the white leggings are everything
CALEB!!!!! Dippa!!!!
I feel like Jedi are supposed to have a somewhat parental relationship with their Padawan, and Anakin goes straight to antagonistic older brother
REX! MY BOY!
How did this conversation go? Hey Rex, you and the guys wanna fire some blasters at Ahsoka for no reason? ugh… sure I guess
Fuckin Jesse “Sorry Commader!”
Honestly I feel like Anakin is just taking out some weird emotions or aggression out on Ahsoka
Okay sure you want to protect her by teaching her to protect herself, but there are almost certainly better ways to do that… like giving critique to what she’s doing or modifying the challenge with each round
Damn Rex, face shot
I swear to god if they make me watch Order 66 again
7/10 was a good episode, kind of irritated me because Anakin’s teaching style rubs me the wrong way
Episode 6 —
Not the cold open with Padme’s funeral….
NO Ahsoka was there
Sometimes I forget that Ahsoka didn’t have that many female figures in her life….
“She was my friend”
AAHHHHH the Corrie guard….. but now the Empire is in control…. This is like Bad Batch era
The Corries are like….. uh okay?
REX!!!
I love that Ahsoka did a stint as a farm hand after dropping out of Jedi school
Ooooh she used The Force…. are they gonna nark on her??
Ashla…. That’s such a pretty name
Do I smell….. a love interest???
This is… not going to go well
Ooooooh that fucking brother is a squealer
Oh my god… man fuck the Empire
Who the fuck is this?
Cowboy stand off, love it
I forgot she doesn’t have sabers anymore
Fuck that was cool!
OMG this is how she gets her white sabers!
I wonder how much time has passed?
Woooooo! REBELLION!!!
10/10 it always hurts, but like in the right way to be reminded that the Empire fucking sucks and there is always hope.
Since this was pretty short, I’m gonna watch more stuff. Might not do a reaction post though.
Happy Star Wars Day!
May the Force be with you!

Tales of the Jedi Reaction
Y'all, it was SO
GOOD
<3 <3 <3
Spoilers under the cut
Episode 1
Pav-ti (Ahsoka's mom) is beautiful
And she has a gun :D
Also her dad is a lovable dork <3
I appreciate how they have 1-year-old Ahsoka acting appropriately for her age
This is quite the ritual for one so young. But I appreciate it, in a way.
Ohhhh no big bad monster
Hghhhhhhhhhhh very big bad monster!!
Is this gonna be a Grogu-with-the-mud-horn moment?
Nope, guess not--opE, THIS BRINGS ME DISTRESS NOT GOOD
I mean we know how this ends but STILL
THAT SCREENSHOT THO with baby soka patting the tiger's nose <3 <3 <3
(How on earth did she get on top of that thing?? XD)
Gosh dangit y'all I need to sleep but I now don't WANT TO
Episode 2
Young Dooku!! Is that young Qui-Gon? Can't really tell. I don't see a padawan braid
That's the most actual dog-looking dog I've ever seen in star wars
Dooku's so dramatic with that cape XD
Y'all are leaving your backs wide open
Ohhhhkaaay this is sinister
Mmmmmm this does not look like it's going to end well
His lightsaber was blue <3
Why? Just... why, senator dude?
OH SNAP THERE'S THE DARKNESS
GOOD JOB KIDs FOR DEESCALATING
BUT YIKES
Heeheeheehee it is Qui-Gon <3
Good golly gracious I'm gonna cry Qui-Gon was so sweet
(Noooooo why is this show SO GOOD I WAS GONNA SLEEP BUT I GUESS NOT)
Episode 3
I can see why Dooku is getting very fed up with the system. I would be, too.
What are those GLOVES? Like, are they just for show or are these people only near-human? (I lowkey want a pair)
Hmmm the senator's nervous. He'll do ANYTHING for his people, huh?
Disaster lineage rebellion didn't start with Qui-Gon XD
Thhaaaat's a lightsaber mark in that tree
Ope, LOTS of lightsaber marks
Well this went downhill very quickly
This guy's got mismatched eyes. Neat
Semage. Is that a name I should know?
(As interesting and genuinely fascinating as Dooku's backstory is, I hope we don't spend a whole of time on his fall. It's depressing.)
Episode 4
At least one more Dooku episode. Alrighty, that's fine. I just kinda hope this is the last one.
Ooooooooh I like this inner view of the archives :D
There goes Kamino :'D
Ohhhhhhhhh this is DURING Episode I
"an active imagination", honey--Master Nu--that is NOT the right response to a report of Sith appearing--
YADDLE!!
SPEAKS NORMALLY???
WHAT????
Was NOT expecting that
So Yoda's just weird I guess
Dropping hints, are we, Dooku?
"I will not be there to protect you, my old Padawan" "You need not worry, Master. Obi-Wan fills that role now."
SHRIIIIIEEEEEK
"He acquits himself quite well."
*shrieking continues"
Dooku still hasn't met Obi-Wan?? Even though he and Qui-Gon apparently still get along?
Is that the last time they saw each other? D':
Here we go. I sense a climax coming. Yaddle's not having it.
Ohhhhh they just got the news about Qui-Gon's death. Oww.
Yeah, I bet this is Dooku's last episode
Yaddle doing some sneaky sneak sneaking
(Ahsoka canonically never knew Yaddle. This is going to be bad)
Ah, so Dooku's already been in contact with Sidious.
"You lost an apprentice and so did I. All in service of our greater goals."
Hrk--
That was a gut punch if I ever felt one
This REALLY hurts, watching Dooku voice all his regrets for his lost honor, as if he's having second thoughts, but we as the audience already know he's only going to fall further
Yaddle... you... okay, mad respect for giving your full and honest best effort to help this man. But this is an absolute tragedy.
Yaddle, I wish you'd've run. I get that you're still trying to save him, but---
HOLY--
Ohhhh that was unpleasant death
OPE JUST KIDDING
But this still can't end well
....I don't know which moment was worse.
Episode 5
Okay, there's only 6 of these, so better enjoy these last two
(Will there be any more? I don't think so...)
Anakin! During clone wars--baby face! LOOK AT THAT BABY FACE ANAKIN
OBI-WAN MULLET
AHSOKA almost HAS SLEEVES!
CALEBBBBBBBBB
AIIIIEEEEEEEEE THat WaS sO CuTE
Oh myGOSH HE CANONICALLY KNOWS AHSOKA DURING THE WAR
Seriously, like, not very many people were in there. That super implies they're close friends
Of course Anakin thinks the training remotes are sub-par XD
Troopers! My boys!
REXXXX <3 <3
"Don't worry Rex, she'll wake up"
Awwwww
IT WAS JESSE!!!
*he waves* "Sorry Commander!"
SQUEAAAAAL
THAT WAS SO CUTE JESSE XD
also, super helpful to know stun blasts work for a whole hour. And that you can "get used to it". And that she's dizzy afterwards
Jeeze Anakin how long were you doing this?
So yeah, she does start waking up faster
THIS HURTS MY HEART
THIS IS WHY SHE SURVIVED
IT HURTS
awww she's still training later in the war
OWWW SHE USES THAT EXACT MOVE IN THE--YES, IN THIS EPISODE EXACTLY WHY ARE YOU HURTING ME LIKE THIS 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Episode 6
gaaaaaasp is this how Ahsoka gets her white lightsabers?? So excited
Gah the funeral tho (cries)
Bail absolutely saw her
Ah, there he is
Ahsoka's face--she's just... so broken right now
These poor troopers are like "we picked up a weeeirdo"
Ahsoka got the message, tho :D
REX IS STILL WITH HER
GAH SO MANY LITTLE DETAILS FOR THE FANFICS
Yeeee! Cut Lawquane and the Fam!
Orrrr just farmers, okay thay's fine
Aaaaand there goes Ahsoka's cover
ASHLA IS CANONICALLY HER UNDER COVER NAME!! Yeee!
Yeeeeaaah, kid, you better skip town. Like. Pronto.
Ah, but that's what attracted the Inquisitor. Got it.
Oh.
Oh dear.
That is NOT how I expected this to go
Ohhh mmmaaan this is tense
Awww I'm almost sad that we didn't get to see this super cool/dangerous Inquisitor in Rebels. But nah, it just makes this little mini-episode epic
Eeeeheeehehe, there's where Organa's comm came in handy :D
It's implied that a significant chunk of time passed. And Rex wasn't with her.
HMMM
But that was the last episode
Maybe we'll learn more in the Bad Batch
I'm going to bed soooooo late y'all
But was it worth it?
YES
ALL OF THEM WERE SO GOOD

Some more thoughts on Tales of the Jedi. Only episode 4, because it got long.
The Sith Lord
There was so much going on in this episode that it was almost overwhelming. I feel like it would have been better to split it into two episodes, but then again, all previous Dooku episodes would have benefited from being longer. Also, the timeline keeps confusing me. At first I thought the episode retcons Dooku leaving the Order ten years before TPM and sticks to the Legends continuity where Qui-Gon’s death in TPM is what gives him the final push to leave. Because this episode seems to give the impression that Dooku is still part of the Order. He could just be visiting as an ex-Jedi, of course. We know that after he resigned, the Jedi still spoke highly of him and treated him with respect, even Mace (especially Mace, ironically) and he was allowed to keep his lightsaber and visit the Temple. But here he is still wearing his Jedi robes, as in the previous episodes. If he had already taken up his title as Count of Serenno, wouldn’t he dress differently? Then again, he wore the Serennian cloak/cape before, so maybe I’m thinking way too much about fashion choices again. I’m assuming he left the Order early, because nothing in this episode really contradicts it.
The way humans age in this universe is just as confusing to me. Jocasta looks the same as in AOTC, meanwhile I’d really like to know what kind of vegetables Dooku eats to still look this good at 70.
Tumblr media
(Their height difference is adorable!)
I loved that we got another brief encounter between Qui-Gon and Dooku. You can see how proud Dooku is of him and that he cares for him, especially since Dooku normally isn’t the most emotionally expressive person. That he doesn’t know what his former padawan has been up to also hints to that he is only here for a visit (though Qui-Gon doesn’t seem all that surprised to see him at the Temple). Judging by his thoughtful look after Qui-Gon left, he might feel a little concern and guilt toward him because Dooku is obviously aware of the Sith Lord and even conspiring with him. (He may even be toying with the idea of telling/recruiting Qui-Gon, since he is already considering him as an ally.) The brief scene really ties into TPM nicely and foreshadows the conversation between Dooku and Obi-Wan in AOTC, where it’s now becoming easier and easier to imagine that Dooku’s words were at least partially sincere. But damn, there go my wild dreams of Filoni somehow finding some creative, nonsensical way of soft-retconning that line in AOTC about Obi-Wan and Dooku never having met before.
Tumblr media
What struck me most about this episode was Yaddle. Going into the show, I didn’t expect her to become one of my favorite characters. She is just so gentle and warm in the Temple scenes, trying to comfort Dooku and asking him if he’s alright. And later, she refuses to give up on him even after she overheard all the terrible things he has done ... she tries to reach out to him with kindness and compassion and it broke my heart because Dooku is so stupid and doesn’t deserve her. Interesting how the dynamic of this confrontation is completely different from how Padmé or Obi-Wan tried to talk some sense into Anakin. And that makes it even more tragic, because Dooku is given a pretty easy way to turn his back on Sidious and the dark side. Yaddle even encourages him that she’s listening to him, that she sees his point about the Council, and she implies that she resigned because she shares some of his views. And the way the episodes set up this whole encounter, with all the wistful and conflicted facial expressions we see from Dooku, and him confronting Sidious about Qui-Gon’s death... I feel like there was a real chance for him to save him(self) here, if only he had been able to face his fear and guilt. Because he’s still at a point where he knows deep down that what he’s doing is not the right way. He is complicit in the deaths of his best friend Sifo-Dyas and his former padawan, and he has not yet fully woven this web of delusion and self-deception that he will later use to justify his actions. There’s some really great ambiguous dialogue in this episode when Dooku tells Yaddle he has no choice (but to let Qui-Gon go) and that he is afraid (that it is too late). I cannot praise Corey Burton and Bryce Dallas Howard enough for their talent to bring these characters to life and convey so much emotion with only a few lines. I love that Yaddle is a compelling character in her own right. You don’t get the feeling that she’s just on screen as a tool to tell Dooku’s story, a feeling I had with Mace in the episode before. I would have liked to see more of her and also her relationship with Dooku when he was still in the Order. (Same still goes for Yoda—what is it with Dooku and little green trolls?)
Tumblr media
And of course, the way this episode was staged was absolutely breathtaking. The Temple and especially the courtyard with the tree looked downright enchanted. The music made it even more eerie. The way light and shadow were used as symbols was perhaps a bit blatant in places, but who cares, I'm here for it! And the fight scene choreography was great as well. I don’t think I’ve ever hated Sidious more. Having him lurking in the background the whole time like a puppeteer in love with his own show was a great touch.
Now for the part I’m less happy with … I don’t really like to complain since we finally got to see Dooku as a somewhat layered character you can actually sympathize with and seeing him care and grieve for Qui-Gon was all I ever needed as a fan. So that emotional, interpersonal part of his arc was done nicely, in my opinion. But at the same time, how Dooku’s ideals and political beliefs play into him leaving the Order and joining the Sith fell a bit under the radar in this episode. He criticizes the Council, but you never really see him interacting with the Council. His conversation with Sidious in this episode remains vague and limited to buzzwords like freedom, order, and peace, but I feel that we were missing too many intermediate steps to explain how Dooku goes from being a Jedi, with questionable methods but ultimately righteous, to becoming a Darksider who wants to destroy the Republic and the Jedi. I have always wondered to what extent he knew about and endorsed Sidious’ plans at various points in his life, and to what extent he was merely an opportunist seeking to advance his own goals. The scene where he confronts Sidious reminds me again how great it could have been if Dooku had a little more agency later in the Clone Wars as well. On the other hand, the tragedy of his character is that he gradually sacrificed everything that defines him to the dark side: all his relationships, his humanity, his ideals, his morals. Maybe they could have shown a little more the intellectual beginnings of the Separatist movement and Dooku’s initial meetings with Palpatine, where Palpatine’s ideas all still seem so harmless and enticing. Dooku’s (initially more academic) fascination with the Dark Side could have been included here as well.
I guess I’m just saying that I enjoyed the Dooku episodes and would like more of them. From what I’ve seen so far, TOTJ has been well received, so perhaps there is hope.

Can someone please point me to where the fandom starwars discords are?
Went to the star wars shows one and everyone was done nothing but complaining about how crap Takes of the Jedi were... Srsly. Wtf... Are you ppl watching the same thing?!?
They were shorts! And they were awesome!
SPOILERS AHEAD FOR ALL EPS OF TALES OF THE JEDI
Ep 1.
O.m.g BB! Ahsoka's little nubby head!!!! So darn cute! Mama! Ahsoka is a hottie! Had hoped we'd see Master Ploon pick her up but still cool. Also I love the animal interaction. So its nots just an Obi-Wan thing its a jedi thing?
Ep 2.
BB! Qui-Gon!!! Where's his padawan braid?? How is he the oldest looking young man? And seriously this whole situation? I too would be team Dooku. Justice. Also... Just me or are Team Dooku not very good at blocking? Everyones hurt or dead... Obi could've saved them all..
Ep 3.
Jedi really suck at investigating. No srsly. See the whole Ahsoka arc. Mace suffers from this by the book thing too. I'm Team Dooku here too. Also nice to see that relations aren't bad for Yoda linage! He's quite proud of Qui. And wants to meet Obi!!! So all those hints in prequel movies... Disaster lineage couldve been...
Ngl it recently occured to me that Grogu is now technically part of disaster lineage and that is a funny awesome thought.
Ep 4.
Again with the shit at investigating. Yaddle you see that shit you run! You also had a massive window right there to freedom and you... Dont escape? Don't fall the other way?! Like come on!! Thats so dumb. But Dooku being upset at his apprentice being killed... Yep, disaster linage family feels. To canonise the deletion of Kamino is cool as ok. Really bad record keeping practices if you think about it. But otherwise cool to see. Despite how sith Dooku is he never gets with the yellow eyes tho y'all notice? I mean his purpose is.. noble.ish.
I get it. Have realised I too would probably be a horrible jedi because Team Dooku all the way. Kill all the corrupt senators. I mean aside from the waging pointless war on innocent planets and enslaving 3mill clones.. but eat the rich? Yes. Agree.
Ep 5.
Obi-wan!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aniobi snarky banter heart5eva. Rex!!!!!!!!! All the clones! Caleb Dume! Kanon Jarrus! BB!padawan!!! Look how excitable and impressed he was! Thats so cuteeee. Anakin's training is next level and goes to show.... how bamf ahsoka actually is. I love you so much.
Ep 6.
Bail!!!! Most underrated mvp. Haha suck it inquisitor guy. They're all really shit compared to actual jedi... Stupid brother. He deserves to die to. Whats that saying? You snitch get hit or something? Very much applies here. The rise of fulcrum huh.
Ahhhhhhh it was so good!!! The ost was beautiful, the art was beautiful! It added to character backstory. Perfect gift for me in the midst of finally succumbing to the damn plague.
Anyone out there wanna squee too????

So, blorbos.
Around the time I got the Tumblr app on my phone, I started seeing the word "blorbos" being thrown around.
First time I saw it: "What's a blorbo?"
Saw it a few more times and discerned the definition through context clues: "Okay, so it's the new hot buzzword in internet slang."
So then I knew what it meant, but I didn't really care.
Then I thought about it, and I realized – I do care about blorbos.
Because I myself have blorbos. I have lots of blorbos. Star Wars blorbos, Star Trek blorbos, Firefly blorbos, Marvel blorbos, DC blorbos, POTO blorbos, blorbos from other movies and TV shows, book blorbos.....
So many blorbos.
If I tried to list all my blorbos we'd be here all day. But I'm gonna share a sampling just to give y'all an idea how many blorbos I got.
Star Wars blorbos:
My Star Wars blorbos are probably half the list. I'm just gonna share like 20 here but there's lots more.
Obi-Wan
Anakin/Vader (That there is a whole can of worms upon which I will not elaborate at this time.)
Padmé Amidala
Satine
Ahsoka
Plo Koon (Plo'buir!)
Captain Rex
Commander Cody (NGL, the whole 501st and 212th, really. Heck, all them clone bois is my blorbos. Except Slick. Even if I kinda understand where he's coming from, he's still trash.)
R2-D2
Luke
Leia
Han Solo
Chewbacca
Lando
Finn
Rey
Poe
BB-8
Din Djarin
Grogu (AKA Baby Yoda. And he's totally Yoda & Yaddle's secret love child. I know it, you know it, we all know it.)
Boba Fett
Fennec Shand
I'm gonna stop with the Star Wars blorbos now. But that's just a few of my very favoritest Star Wars blorbos. There are many more.
Star Trek blorbos:
I have a lot of Star Trek blorbos too.
Kirk
Spock
McCoy
Uhura
Scotty
Sulu
Chekov (Original and Kelvinverse versions of all the above.)
Captain Archer
T'pol
Trip Tucker
Riker
Data
Picard
Janeway
That's enough for now.
Firefly blorbos:
Do I really need to say it?
The entire crew of Serenity. They all my blorbos.
The entire show got shafted.
Marvel blorbos:
Tony Stark/Iron Man
Steve Rogers/Captain America
Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow
Clint Barton/Hawkeye
Bruce Banner/Hulk
Thor
Loki(Not a villain. He's Chaotic Neutral and he's my blorbo.)
Nick Fury
Coulson
Spiderman (Tom Holland Spiderman is the best Spiderman. Fight me.)
And more.
DC blorbos:
Not as many as I thought, really.
Clark Kent/Superman will always be my blorbo.
Lois Lane
Bruce Wayne/Batman
Wonder Woman
Oliver Queen/Green Arrow
Barry Allen/Flash
Cisco Ramón
There's some more.
POTO blorbos:
Not that many, but they my blorbos.
Erik (Gerard Butler.🔥😍)
Christine
Raoul(Blorbo who needs attitude adjustment, but still blorbo.)
Madame Giry
Meg
Carlotta(It's complicated. Ask me later.)
Mostly the obvious, except Carlotta.
Other movie and TV blorbos:
There's lots.
Marty McFly
Doc Brown
Clara Clayton (Back to the Future)
Mark Watney (The Martian. Could also count as a book blorbo, but I saw the movie first.)
Neil Caffery
Peter Burke (White Collar)
Horatio Caine (CSI Miami)
And lots more.
Book blorbos:
Do I have book blorbos? Yes I absolutely do have book blorbos.
The Hardy Boys
Nancy Drew
Ned Nickerson (Nancy's boyfriend)
George Fayne (short for Georgia)
Bess Marvin (her and George are Nancy's BFFs. Squad goals.)
Lassiter (Riders of the Purple Sage, by Zane Grey)
Romeo & Juliet
There are more. Book blorbos take more thinking to think of.
All this is just the tip of my blorbo iceberg, and look how long this post is already.
Long live the blorbos.
