I know Tommy is technically friends with Chimney and worked with everyone except Buck and Eddie, but I'd love it if Tommy just like... retroactively takes Buck's side in every past trauma Buck has had where he didn't have anyone truly on his side.
Aka Tommy being like "Chimney PUNCHED you?! They laughed when they found out your Therapist had SEX with you during a session!!? He called YOU exhausting??!"

@ lianhua novel anon: just fyi that i saw your ask and yes would love to talk on it when the braincells permit!! (+ probably also when i finish watching, we're on ep36 rn)
…though i did just have unfortunate and highly cursed but not inaccurate thought that at least some of the plot/coherency issue may be familiar from acd holmes to bbclock adaptation issues, i.e. the addition of Big Backstory Plot followed by the shoehorning of said plot into what were mostly standalone cases in the original writing with varying degrees of success

Every so often I think-
I should watch Sherlock again. I remember it being pretty dazzling the first time through. I know there was a lot of backlash, eventually, but certainly there was a reason it was of such intense interest and obsession. I remember the dialogue being quite smart!
And then I remember that it ended with there being a secret Holmes sister that Sherlock had FORGOTTEN about‽

These boys never stood a chance
"It only has to stay secret until we're 18"
Like be serious Wille!! Linda clocked your asses in about .05 nanoseconds.
(And Sara too while we're at it.)
This woman knows her son!
Look at her trying not to bust out laughing at these clowns.
Sara said get it together.
Linda said 👀
Wilmon said oops sorry didn't hear you over all the love noises!
Hey guys! Pro tip: if you want to keep your illicit gay romance a secret, try not smiling radiantly and blushing at each other while shooting each other heart eyes that scream I want to jump your bones then take you on a picnic by the lake and learn everything about you in front of your friends, family and total strangers.
Just a suggestion tho.

i also think the fact that i had such a stunted and isolated upbringing and now that im an adult all my friends are on atypical life paths (and honestly even my friends as a kid were like this too) means i find things that are usually very common life stages really interesting. like knowing someone who has a house and a wife and 2 kids (with that wife) and a job with a salary feels like meeting fucking paul bunyun to me. or hearing the kids i work with talk about graduating high school and going to college and being on a real path with that stuff is neat? or even sometimes knowing cis/het people who are like going thru that coming of age stuff that i never really experienced the way you see it in the movies bc of transness/queerness/neurodivergence. its like woah they said the name of the thing in the thing. do u know what i mean???

A.J Pollard’s biography on Edward IV was so cringe lol (generic; minor but frustrating inaccuracies; intensely judgmental at times and oddly dismissive at others while never considering the broader context; entirely diminished and trivialized Elizabeth Woodville as both queen and wife of his main subject in the name of "defending" her; created a false dichotomy between Edward and Henry VII’s styles of ruling and lauded the latter at the former’s expense even though Henry literally followed Edward’s example for the very things Pollard was criticizing Edward for; had a downright nonsensical and thoroughly misleading conclusion about Edward’s legacy & Richard’s usurpation that was based entirely on hindsight, Pollard's own assumptions, and the complete downplaying Richard’s agency and actions to emphasize what Pollard wrongly and misleadingly claimed were Edward's so-called 'failings', etc, etc)
I wanted to buy his book on Henry V but after reading this shitshow and the synopsis of that book, im guessing it's going to be 10x worse, so...no thanks
