I have enjoyed some of the TCF reaction fics, but I feel like there's a major problem.

Namely, that it's really hard for fic writers to stay motivated for over 700+ chapters, so it feels like they all start off strong for the beginning (especially rescuing Raon) and then peter out. We never get to the really good stuff.

Never reach that flashback when Cale reads the letter from the GoD, or see reactions to Choi Han rushing over to see Kim Rok Soo after getting Choi Jung Soo's records. Never have them see the Sealed God's test, and really... Post-apocalyptic Korea horrified Alberu, for good reason. Not that it's explicitly stated, but when is it ever? He had quite the reaction when he was trying to decide what to tell everyone else.

I've had some thoughts on how I would do it, but fair warning - I'm not much of a writer, and will probably never write it. All my respect for the ones that regularly write fanfic because I have like - less than a handful? Maybe, maybe, if I haven't moved on after finishing this reread, I'll try writing it myself.

The other thing is that I've been reading part 2 - only as far as eatapplepies has translated as I find mtl more confusing than helpful - and I'm really liking the Heavenly Demon. He seems to have fallen for our Cale pretty hard, and I'm interested in seeing how that goes.

So I have been playing around with ideas.

First - Dodam is trying to find 'that terrible bastard', and is dragging around his Choi Han.

He reaches Korea. Og!Cale as KRS, specifically. He has his own attribute, one to help him track down Cale, so he can pull up visions/memories related to that.

He pulls up the dream meeting between Cale and KRS.

There are a few team 1 members present, particularly Kim Minh Ah. Cue a bit of chaos, some 'aha' moments, and the long and the short of it is Dodam is going to pull up some of just what they're team leader is up to. (And if Dodam can figure out exactly which world or dimension to to next, and OG! Cale gets the bittersweet ability to see how his deal with the God of Death prevented the destruction he'd lived through, well... That's fine too)

During that brief moment, the Henituse noticed some strange mana fluctuations and managed to get Rosalyn there. She's basically able to tap into the feed and see and hear what's going on.

And divine intervention (like perhaps a god of love) extends the feed to the Heavenly Demon.

What would follow would be an abbreviated version of the key points. Sure, it loses some of the flavor... But we don't actually need, say, the amusing anecdote where an elf mistook Cale for a dragon.

Anyways, the more I thought about it the more I thought about how team 1 would react.

Because the minute they see those monster statues you know they'll all be going 'what the fuck?!?'

They will probably also nod knowingly at some of Cale's more shocking plans. Like hey, there he goes agreeing to help the Mogoru Empire put out the fire he started with the Whipper kingdom.

Nod, nod

Just like he did when they were dealing with that one corrupt guild

And if they ever get as far as seeing the Heavenly Demon, I'm sure one team member will be like 'Is.. is he flirting with Team Leader-nim?!?'

Cue stories where Team Leader Kim Rok Soo avoided a honeypot - except now they're thinking maybe he was just too dense to notice?

He really was trying to understand it all. This felt like Patriarchy all over again. Turns out Halloween is not about tiny black sky dogs coming to bite you to assert their dominance (allegedly called “bats” like baseball), nor is it about evil vegetables that come to life and are filled with fire. Wild, I know.

“It’s okay you guys, I know what I’m doing, I’ve done this before.” 

Ken stuck out a dismissive hand, reminding the rest of the Barbies (and the Kens and Allen) that he’s been to the Real World (and even found his way back all by himself!) as he led the way. He wanted them to feel at ease – he remembered how worried he was the first time he went to the Real World. It was not like he expected at all.

He reassured them he definitely knows what's up. Except that he doesn’t. And he didn’t last time either. 

One (very long, as the passenger Barbies and Kens and Allen well exceeded the hundreds) car-rocket-boat-rv-bike-jetski-rollerblade trip later and Ken was met with Barbie in Venice Beach, just like last time. 

“Hi Ken! Hi Barbie! Hi Ken! Hi Barbie! Hi Barbie! Hi Ken!” 

He was so happy to see her and wanted to hear all about how she’d been and what she'd been up to (as well as thank her for inviting him and everyone over), but that must wait, lest he misunderstands Halloween any longer. 

He was on a mission, that’s for sure. 

All of the crew skated alongside Barbie, following her to her sorority house. Ken didn't know what that was, but he figured it didn't have to do with Halloween, so he wasn't interested. They were throwing a giant blowout party with all the students (and planned choreography, and a bespoke song) for 'Halloween', whatever that was. 

His original costume was a vampire but he scared himself in the mirror and cried so he settled instead for a cowboy (not that that had to be a costume, he liked to look like that anyways). 

It would’ve been more fitting to dress as a detective the way he wanted so desperately to know what all of this meant. The decorations were… so dark, literally zero sparkles, all of the people at the party looked badly injured, the music had words he’s never heard before, and the fruit punch tasted horrible – like a burning kind of horrible – none of it made any sense to Ken. And the girls were scary too. 

They were all touching him and laughing. He couldn’t tell if they were laughing at his confusion or just having fun, but something about it felt weird. They were looking at him in a way he didn’t understand, and he very much sensed an undertone of violence. 

“You were soo good in the movie, Ken!” 

He couldn’t tell you how many times he’d heard that tonight because he had stopped counting after 20 (he can’t count higher than 20). All the girls saying that to him were wearing Barbie’s clothes, like they had borrowed them from her. He didn’t know why. Wasn’t tonight about dressing up? That’s just what Barbie wore everyday back home. Even the Palazzo pants! 

And what movie? The God Father? Why did everyone keep bringing up The Movie™ like he was supposed to know what they were talking about? 

He excused himself to further analyze the situation, his eyes squinting and shifting, taking in all the information. The books he read back home said a lot of stuff about magic and evil spirits, but all he knew about magic was from Magic Ken’s earring, let alone what an ‘evil spirit’ was. None of this was appealing, and if he was honest, it all sort of frightened him. Who wants to hang around waiting for Patriarchy guys to jump out and scare you all night? 

Which they did. For who knows how many times (he stopped counting at 20). He knew this time they were definitely laughing at him, so excused himself. 

The air was cold and the lull of the music and people talking from inside spilled everywhere he went. He couldn’t escape it. It hurt his ears, but at least it wasn’t as loud out here. 

Sat on the front step outside under twinkling orange lights was a girl wearing nearly the same costume as him. 

He noticed she looked like she wasn’t enjoying herself much either, her chin resting in her palms folded over her lap. The flowers embroidered on her Cowgirl shirt matched his. Even the pattern at the base of his bell-bottoms was the same on her suede skirt. 

He stood beside her hesitantly, careful to not disturb her – and also worried she would try to scare him like everyone else had. 

“Sorry, is it okay if I sit here? This isn’t going how I thought it would.” 

“Oh, parties are for sure the worst part about Halloween.” 

Ken’s head tilted to the side, curious. 

“Worse than bat?” 

You smiled at him, patting the porch next to you, gesturing for him to join. 

“You mean bats? Like fruit bats? I think they’re cute.” 

“Cute?! Bats are much more dangerous than people realize. Even I know that. You know, Zoologist is not even my job. And it is not Pumpkin Carver, which is a common misconception. Yeah – ‘cause actually my job? It’s just–” 

“Beach? And what a good job you do at it? I saw the movie.” 

You watched as his brow furrowed. 

“What movie? Everyone keeps talking about some movie, did I miss something? All we have at home is The Wizard of Oz and The God Father and neither of those have beach.” 

“Oh my gosh, you haven’t seen it? You don’t even know?” 

“Know what?” 

“Is that even legal? Can Mattel release this without, like, asking for your permission?” 

“Permission for what?!” 

You took his hand, standing up. He followed suit, proving to be much taller than you’d expected. He kind of towered over you – and you had boots on (to complete the Ken look, of course). 

“C’mon, I’ll show you, but it’s going to be really weird to watch yourself and it will probably make you have some sort of existential crisis where you realize you were created by someone in the 60s.” 

His face screamed confusion, but he followed you anyway, the two of you strolling through the damp rain-soaked streets from this afternoon’s storm. The theater was only a few blocks away so you didn't mind walking – and it was nice to see the decorations and lights through the windows from parties.

“Hey, did you notice we’re matching!” 

“Yeah, Ken, I’m dressed as you.” 

He stopped walking, his boot spurs scraping the pavement. You stopped too, turning to face him. 

Tears were welling up in his eyes. 

“You… You dressed up… as me?” 

“Yeah. So did he. And him, and her, and them too.” 

You pointed to some of the trick-or-treaters (and even their parents) that walked on the sidewalks beside you. He hadn’t noticed, but you were right. All of them… All of them were dressed as him. And even he knew choosing a costume was a very important – maybe the most important – part of Halloween. 

“You mean… I’m cool enough that people here in the Real World want to look… like me?” 

His eyes were shiny and huge like a cartoon character. He looked ridiculous, falling apart right here in the road, the glow of the streetlamps glittering around him, but it did pull at your heartstrings a little. 

“Ken… You don’t get it. You’re an icon right now.” 

“I don’t know what that word means.” 

“Like… this movie. Everyone saw it to just have fun with their friends but you really changed a lot of people’s perspectives on some really important stuff. Mojo Dojo Casa Dreamhouses were flying off the shelves – gosh, you were even the most popular tattoo! You taught people something here – showed them a part of themselves they didn't know how to put words to.” 

“What is a tattoo?” 

You remembered it too, the first time you saw it and laughing before watching your friends bawl their eyes out towards the end. Here in The Real World you had heard about Skipper (although N-SYNC was a surprise…) so you knew it was possible, but it never dawned on you that the Barbies and Kens had no idea that you were all watching. Except Allen, for some reason. 

You watched as he just got more and more confused, taking his hand once again and guiding him to the theater. 

“Hey… is that a picture of me?” 

“Yes, Ken, that’s an advertisement for the movie.” 

He really didn’t have any idea. 

“Two tickets for Barbie please!” 

The guy in the booth was dressed as a vampire, Ken’s decidedly mortal enemy as of the last 24 hours. He looked awestruck. 

“Is that Ryan Gosling?”

Miguel is like a father to you. He'd treat you like his own daughter. However in the past two weeks Miguel noticed that you've looked super stressed out, sometimes having lash out episodes.

You couldn’t even focus when training. Until he saw you having an episode. "Hey, calm down.." he said in a concerned tone. Miguel has never seen me actually have an episode. It was the others that would see me, they would tell him.

I ignored him, still being mad at was upsetting me.

Miguel was concerned, "Hey, come sit down." He tried to get me to calm down and to sit down.

I was so mad in the moment that I didn't even hear him.

Miguel grabbed my shoulders and got me to face him. Miguel had a stern expression on. He said in a stern tone, "Hey, calm down. Stop being so hard on yourself. Look at me."I shook my head no, not making eye contact, my nostrils were flared.

Miguel was getting even more concerned with me. He’s never seen me like this. Miguel's tone turned from stern, to more of a concerned and worried tone. He said, "Hey, please. Look at me." I could tell he was worried for me, and wanted to help me. I looked at him. He could still see that I was clearly mad but not as much anymore. Miguel saw my eyes were full of sadness

Miguel felt a little better, with knowing I wasn't as mad as before. He could tell that I looked sad. Miguel said to me, "Please come sit down. I don't like seeing you like this." He really didn't like seeing me upset, and I could tell. He didn't want me to look sad, and to be upset. He said to me, "Please come sit down. I don't like seeing you like this." I started to move toward him, so I can sit down and talk to Miguel.

Sitting down with Miguel, Miguel looks at me with a concerned face. He says to me, "What's going on? You've looked stressed these past two weeks."

He noticed that I stayed silent, and that there's something wrong. With how I was acting.

"Please tell me. I want to help with whatever is wrong."

I shook my head no.

Miguel didn't want to push me to talk, if I didn't want to. He didn't want to make me upset again. My episodes were happening too often , he didn't want me to have another one. Miguel's first priority was making sure I was okay.

He moved some my hair strands from my face.

He told me, in a quiet but sweet tone, "It's okay. I'm here for you. I'll always be here for you."

I broke down crying hugged him.

Crying, I hugged him tightly. My episodes didn't bother Miguel, even though he didn’t understand what I was going through right now. He hugged me back tightly, telling me, "It's okay. You're safe with me."

Miguel kept me in a tight hug. He was so comforting and caring. He said in an understanding tone, "I don't mind at all. You're safe with me. Let it out. I promise that I won't leave. "

After a few minutes you could hear my sniffles I looked exhausted.

Miguel didn't try to make me talk. He let me be if I didn't want to. He still was hugging me, and now I was calm.

He noticed how exhausted I was, as he could hear me sniffling. He still kept me in a tight hug, comforting me. He suggested to go to a extra bedroom and get some rest. Telling how exhausted I was after my episode.

Miguel walked me to the room.

"Rest for now. I'll come check up on you after I finish some stuff." He wanted to make sure I get some rest after everything that happened.

I grabbed his arm, "Can you stay with me.." I said in a quiet voice.

Miguel stopped and turned to look down at me. He heard what I said. He knew how drained I was. Miguel was glad that I asked him that.

Miguel said in a loving tone, "Of course I can."

He was glad that I asked him to stay with me, even if I didn't tell him what was wrong with me.

Miguel walked me inside the room, and sat down next to me. Miguel wrapped his arms around me, and stayed with me.

With me being in Miguel arms, I felt at ease, and at peace.

I felt Safe With Him.

Zoey is Korean-Russian. (Dad is Russian and mom is Korean.)

Was a military kid so she hopped to place to place but when her dad was home the arguing would continue. Eventually leading to a divorce.

Her pet hamster and cat kept her company during these times.

Miss Puffy Cheeks (the hamster) is unkillable. Kid Zoey would make up stories of MPC being a tough, resilient military hamster that has a secret life outside of being her pet like Parry the platypus. She finds it silly now but she still can't figure out where MPC goes when she's at school.

Zoey lives with her dad. (she was always a daddy's girl even if she hates to admit.)

Zoey was a quiet but kind girl when she was younger, always a people pleaser and it only got worse in the beginning of high school.

She always got bullied by the jocks of the school for being a push-over, pick-me girl and a quiet kid.

One day they put gum soo far up in her long hair the next day it was ALL cut to her shoulders length.

Later she dyed her brown hair to red. (Cuz red looks cute but also because it gives her SOME control in her situation.)

When I think of Zoey being into indie stuff I think of arty tiktok. (like arthoe, indiekid, vintagecore suff like that)

During All Star Zoey was the girls counselor (by force) and a couple counselors (by force). By the end of it she got sick of being everyone's therapist. She LOVES helping her friends but it gets hard to do so when you have no choice.

Zoey's favorite time period is the 50s, as well is Vito. (the ONLY thing they have in common)

She's also go on dates with Svetlana. (🏳️‍🌈lesbeans)

Zoey also does Svetlana's makeup sometimes.

Zoey likes putting stickers on things and people.

Cause Zoey was a military kid she had trained with her dad in self-defense. (This is where commando Zoey came to be!) Even though she never uses it, it's still a useful skill.

Zoey is sumwhat able to catch up to Manitoba pace when they hike together.

Jo hangs out with Zoey and Svetlana, they go to the gym together.

Sammy and Zoey are friends and go to the same school (Zoey is two grades ahead.) and they spend lunch together sometimes. (depending if Amy kicks Sammy out from her lunch table.)

Zoey's cat (Fluffy) has beef with Mike because he thinks Mike is taking his mother from him. (Her attention whore cat.)

She does NOT like conflict. Zoey will have a panic attack if people argue in front of her, let alone make her choose sides.

Zoey takes a major in psychology and a minor in fashion.

Zoey and Brick are classmates and great friends.

Brick and her have a lil side project where they make outfits for Dekota size. (she really appreciates it.)

A little silly thing Zoey does when she's bored is that she draws on her or others skin. Mike tends to have the most drawings on him (hands & arms) it grounds him and also because her drawings are cute. She doesn't draw on Cam because he's to afraid of the chemicals in the markers or pen.

Zoey hates the idea of choosing sides so much after she finishes college she moves in with Mike. Not smart financial but at least she won't have to tell one of her mom or dad that she chose to be with the other parent instead of them.

Zoey has a little bit of strained relationship with her parents.

Mal and Zoey would ✨lovingly✨ beat each other up. They're ADHD VS AUTISM incarnate. (Mal hates mfs with red hair and pronouns!! /j)

Zoey is Molly McGee on adderall.

Her and Gwen would get tongue piercings together.

Zoey has a granddaughter relationship with Chaster, a good one but she still try's not to upset him anymore then he already is. (btw no one has told him that Zoey is half-Russian and none of them plan to.)

Zoey take more years in college later and became a teacher; I imagine she's Mille's teacher. After the TDI reboot Mille comes back to class feeling guilty that she couldn't finish her thesis paper about people her generation's psychology but made a backup paper about her own insecurities. And of course Zoey completely understands and tells Mill it's ok to feel insecure but make sure to keep yourself in check so that insecurity doesn't turn into judgement for others problems and trauma. (this one had abit more projection in this. superiority complexes in Gen Z's that "aren't like the others" virus is a real problem man.)

What do you think Beika and Ichiya's home/family life was like?

Oh i was prepared for this question!!! I talked to my friends about it so all of this was prewritten except lil additions!!

Beika is the child of a single parent, Nagisa "Nagi" Kabayaki Onaga. Havs you seen that tumblr post thats like "I could never be a parent because whenever my kid did something nice i would go "Oh shit little dude thats sick as fuck". He’s that. He was very supportive and tried his best at all times, and Beika had to doubt Nagisa's love. This doesn't make him a good parent, and Beika's childhood was never one i call easy.

As how it goes, more about him and also Ichiya’s situation under the cut.

To give you a bit of context! Nagisa used to be the black sheep of his family until he decided to voluntarily exile himself from the Onagas after a fight he got into with his father, who would be Beika's (and Frye's) grandfather. But of course people aren’t privy to Onaga's private family life, so as far as people know Nagisa got disowned by Dadaji Onaga. And because no one wanted to anger the head of, you know, one of the most influential families of the region, most people refused to help him out or show him any kindness to stay in good graces with Onagas. So he goes from a clueless rich boy to a guy who has to earn everything in the most difficult ways. He was just miserable by himself, he was tired of being treated like scum of earth wherever he went because of Onaga influence. I figure he missed being loved. So when the opportunity to have Beika presented itself he just took it and Beika's mother left very soon after. She made it very clear that she would take no part in it other than. Egg.

So, these kind of circumstances were the circumstances Beika was born into, to a barely adult dirt poor social pariah dad who loved the idea of his kid very much with very few means to provide, which Beika all inherited. Other than the obvious stuff like how impoverishment would be hard on a small kid, Beika also dealt with the social exclusion Nagisa was subject to. I think it was the kind of situation mothers and fathers of her classmates would not wanting their kid to talking to Beika, and when Beika grew up there being no jobs "available" for her, and when C-side couldn't book a gig they should absolutely have been able to as if they were blacklisted before they got to do anything pre-fame. (I think Nagisa never regretted having a child but he has a lot of regrets about having that child be His child and go through all of. this.)

Nagisa couldn't be there most of the time, which he didn’t really account for. He spent a lot of his time basically trying to earn their living from whichever jobs he could get (mostly unsavory ones, like salmon run but with local firms that cut corners) which also made him miss out on a lot of parenting too. And by the time he had time Beika was a fully realized person. And he didn’t stop willingly either, he lost that arm of his and when he forcibly spent time with his kid it was like oh she's a person now and I was there for none of that.

Nagisa, when he was there, was very loving but unequipped. Nagisa had a lot of ideals on what kind of parent he should be, Like He would be soo good he would never put that much responsibility to his kid like His dad did or try force the kid into anything she didnt wanna do he was gonna do good he was gonna do great he would get his shit together. Because he wanted to be nothing like his dad, and because he couldn't cope with the idea of making Beika as “miserable” as he was (even though it would be momentarily and necessary, as parents tell kids no and give them responsiblities sometimes) it made him too permissive of a parent, and it made him treat Beika like a friend and not like a child who needs rules to live by and help managing her impulses. Not to mention, he himself due to his troubled upbringing had a harm time coping with his emotions and understanding them, which is to say he himself couldn't teach how to approriately approach and deal with feelings, and couldn't react appropriately to Beika's feelings and support them either. He himself forced himself to go through the motions of negative emotions and move on from them as soon as possible to Never look back thank you very much, and never showed his negative emotions ever, which in turn meant there was no example Beika could learn off of.

Like, when one of only friends Beika has ever made leaves her, replaces her, rubs it in her face, "That's rough, buddy", said with the most genuine tone. And when Beika carries that hurt to adulthood, "you're all grown up now, why do you are so much? You two were best friends you should talk it out like adults. I don’t want you to make yourself sad for no reason" said in the most sincere, puzzled way.

Beika is very aware of Nagisa’s faults, so is Nagisa of how often times he failed Beika. But i think Beika doesn’t really fault him for it. In their best days it’s very easy for them to love each other because its two of them! And in their worst days it felt like an obligation because, its two of them. Who else did they have?

As for Ichiya, i think his family situation was in some ways better, so this will be a lot shorter. I headcanon him to have been raised by his aunt Niika Gessou.

The reason for this is I imagine Ichiya’s parents to have been from a band that got very famous and fell out of fame very soon after, and continued it’s existence catering to a very niche audience that toured around a lot, so they didn’t really have the time to take care of their kid(s, as I headcanon Ikkan and Ichiya to be half-siblings). Niika was the kind of lady who wanted a kid but had no luck dating, so when her brother was having a kid she very gladly took on the responsiblity herself. She was also somewhat permissive and didn’t want to upset Ichiya, and quite often spoiled him, with no bad intentions of course. But it was mostly Ichiya’s mother, Maki that put the ideas of being a prodigy rockstar in Ichiya’s head, which Niika supported in every way she can, perhaps too much.

I think she sees everything that happened with Ichiya during SQSQ and how abrasive he can be, and now Ichiya’s current state, him being so upset with himself, and wonders where she failed him. But I think Ichiya does not think in any way Niika failed him, at all. They love each other too much.

I also headcanon since Ichiya and Beika were so close, she babysat Beika a lot. I think despite their kids’… rough relationship, Niika and Nagisa are still very… close. Beika is just grateful he Nagisa someone other than his coworker/work partner that he can call close, and also that he is a grown ass man and it would be wild and selfish to try control what this grown ass man does. Ichiya does not like this at all and wishes Niika would not talk to Nagisa at all.

So, yeah!

Love is blind

Leo gently knocked on the window, standing on a fire escape and leaned on the railing. He tapped his foot to the rhythm of the song playing constantly in his head for all day, looking at the bright lights of passing cars below him. Today's night was really nice, warm wind, clear dark sky and the thought of seeing the person he's been waiting to talk to for almost the entire week. The turtle was busy trying to keep the city as safe as he and his brothers could, not having much of free time.

Leo tugged on the material of his blue bandana when he heard a soft click of opening the window. He looked up and smiled noticing a familiar figure.

"Hello there. Long time no see, Leo."

He chuckled at the obvious joke, walking up to the windowsill you were leaning on.

"Well, hello to you too." he crooked his head to the side (not like you actually could see tho). "How did you know it was me?"

"Who else would knock on my window in the middle of the night?" you retored with a smile appearing on your lips.

The turtle made a humming sound comedically information you of him thinking hard on your question, which caused you to let out a quiet giggle, knowing that louder noise could bring unwanted attention. He grinned at that softly, happy he was able to make you laugh.

He knew, despite your constant assuring, that it made you upset when he wasn't able to visit for longer periods of time. He didn't blame you, really, he was equally upset about the thought but he couldn't just tell you why he was away for so long. Was he supposed to just say that he's fighting crime being a ninja mutant turtle? Yeah, sure, that won't happen.

The only thing making this friendship possible was the fact that you couldn't see who he was - who most would be scared of or feel grossed out. And you literally couldn't see.

Sometimes, Leo felt bad for thinking that your blindness was something good. After all, he wished you could see the beauty this world had to offer, how many cool places he would have shown you! The turtle could've only imagine how nice it would have been watching Lou Jitsu movies with you or playing console games or holding hands and looking into each other's eyes- no, wait, he needs to get his head out of the clouds.

'But this can't happen' is what he thought. Not when he's so different than you.

Unfortunately, these thoughts didn't stop the warm feeling that blossomed in his chest when he was with you.

"Hmm, you do have a point." he spoke when a smirk appeared on his face. "Unless you have someone else visiting you at night?"

"Of course not! You're the only one, Leo." you snorted backing away from the window. "Would you like to come in?"

"Yeah, very much." his cheeks started to feel warm as he hoisted himself on a windowsill and jumped inside the building.

He walked up to the nightstand and flicked on the small lamp, dim light scattering around the room. He sat on his usual spot at the foot of the bed and watched as you closed the window. Every time he looked at you the only thing on his mind was how sad it was there you couldn't see how beautiful you are. Therefore, Leo swore to himself to compliment you often, even if you only saw that as a joking flirt.

He sighed, looking away. He really shouldn't get his hopes up.

After a while, the turtle felt the mattress dip as you sat beside him, resting your back on the wall.

"Everything okay?" you asked concerned.

"Yeah, it's fine." he answered quickly. Leo didn't want you to worry so he changed the topic. "How have you been the past week? Anything interesting happened?"

For some reason, he seemed somehow off today but you decided to not push on if he didn't want to talk about it.

"Ah, it was boring as always without someone's constant nagging over my ear." you laughed hearing an offended gasp beside you. "But nothing really happened. How about you, Leo?"

"Well, me and my brothers were pretty busy with stuff, but I managed to get a hold on that game I've been talking to you about last time!" he excitedly waved his hands in the air, his gaze landing on your face.

You smiled, happy he cheered up.

"Oh, yeah, I remember! The one based on the Lou Jitsu movie, right? Tell me about it!"

"Yes, this one! So, when I started the game..."

"He did what-" you tried to take a breath while hugging a pillow to your chest, laughing uncontrollably and almost falling of your bed.

"THAT WAS EXACTLY MY REACTION WHEN RAPH TOLD ME-" the red-eared turtle was already halfway on the floor, also trying his hardest to control the cackling leaving his mouth.

After almost a two hours of catching up with each other's lives, Leo brought up his genius brother's latest incident with trying to improve the mobility of a toaster - whatever that meant. Apparently, the poor device ended up exploding, causing the destruction of some part of the kitchen. Leo wasn't home at the time so you could imagine his shock seeing the oldest brother making Donnie clean the dark smudges off the walls.

"You really don't have any boring days with your family, huh?" you asked jokingly, wiping the small tears that formed on the corners of your eyes.

Couple more chuckles after, the blue-bandana turtle lifted himself back by your side on the soft cushion as his gaze drifted to your face. He always loved hearing the sound of your laughter, how you couldn't calm yourself down sometimes, the way your wide grin caused the corners of your eyes to crinkle and that happy glint in your usually dull pupils- He's getting ahead of himself again, isn't he?

Covering the bottom of his reddening face (even if it wasn't necessary), he sighted and, apparently, to loudly because concern immediately appeared on your face.

"Leo," you started gently. "are you sure everything is okay?"

Your worried tone somehow struck right through his chest because he struggled to not pour out everything that's been on his mind lately. You were his safe space, someone who would listen to him spilling the contents of his mind, willing to help or just be there for him. Of course, he had his brothers but there were some things that he found difficult to talk to them. But you always knew what he wanted- no, needed to hear.

And Leo was scared of how much you affected him.

"Uh," that's why he did what he found to be the easiest move - bottle his feelings up. "Yeah, everything is good, just a little tired."

You frowned. Knowing from the start that something has been bothering him, you didn't pry, hoping he would eventually told you himself. Though, he started to rebuild the wall that you worked so hard on putting down. You won't let him isolate his feelings like that again.

After a brief silence, you stopped messing with your fingers and filled with determination (get the reference pls), you turned to fully face him.

"Leo, I want to know how you look like." you stated firmly but your voice faltered saying the next sentence. "Can I touch your face?"

He was not expecting that at all. Or maybe just decided to ignore the possibility of this situation for the good of his mental health. That turtle absolutely did not know how to react to that so his body decided that panic is the best option.

"I mean- if you don't feel comfortable with that, then I'm not forcing you or anything! Yeah, that probably sounded weird anyway-" as the answer for his silence you started to frantically wave your hands before your chest. "I just thought that- or maybe, like, I haven't thought at all-"

"Okay."

You stopped your rambling hearing the quiet breathy answer.

"...you sure?"

"Yeah, I'm sure."

Soft humm left your mouth as you slowly started to lift your hands. Nervousness filled you, you never asked how he looked like before nor did you care, but now, sitting with him in your room and enjoying yourselves, you slowly started to realize your desire to know more about him - all of him. You wanted to see him.

Leo was the only one who treated you like any other person, not a little child who couldn't do anything on it's own. He was the one who never failed to make your day better with just his mere presence.

I wished to tell him how much he meant to you.

Suddenly, you felt a cold skin pressing to your wrists making you aware of how you stopped all your movements for couple of seconds. Small gasp left your lips at the roughness of his hands and how gently they hold yours. They felt so unusual, their size and temperature were so different of yours, making questions rise in your brain but never leaving your mouth.

With a soft look in his eyes, the turtle began to lead your hands to his face, closing his eyelids and trying to calm himself down. Shiver went down through his body as he felt your warm palms on his cheeks, fingers gently tracing on his skin. His own hands left your wrists thinking you'll going to pull away soon with disgusted expression oh your face, telling him to get out and never come here again. Leo tried to prepare himself for this outcome but he knew that nothing would stop his heart from breaking.

But instead of rejection his eyes snapped open at the quiet 'wow' and the feeling of your hands attentively studying his cheeks, snout, corners of his mouth and soft material of his iconic blue bandana.

"What are you?" you muttered still amazed, no revulsion behind your words, only pure curiosity of experiencing something new.

"A turtle." he answered equally as quiet. "Mutant turtle exactly."

"So you have a shell?" you asked stopping your movements.

Leo nodded but upon realizing you couldn't see that he lowly hummed making your palms slide down his neck and to his back.

"Can you hide in it? Or is it to small? Wait, should I even ask about that? Oh no, did I do something inappropriate-"

"NO! No, it's okay!" he quickly assured you. "I can easily hide in it. Uh, but..."

Your hands found his face again and rested on his cheeks as you waited for him to go on.

"Don't you feel... grossed out? Disgusted? I'm not human, I'm so different form you and- " he paused to take a deep breath, preparing himself for the next words leaving his mouth. "I probably should apologize. I should told you sooner but I used that fact that your not able to tell who I am to keep this friendship. And if you don't want to end it because of me being a mutant then for being selfish liar and that's completely valid-"

"Leonardo Hamato."

The turtle stopped hearing his full name and a small smile on your lips.

"I don't care." breathy laugh leaving you after hearing his confused noise. "I love you for who you are, you know. The one who is there for me when I'm lonely, who makes me laugh and not feel like I'm all alone there. So why would I care if in addition you're a mutant turtle, which, by the way, is like insanely cool."

His brain has stopped working. Wow, good job on breaking him.

"You, what- huh-" the poor turtle tripped in his word not being able to form an understandable sentence, his face becoming warmer and warmer every second.

"Are you okay, Leo?" you asked feeling the unnatural heat from his face.

"Huh? Yeah! I am, hah- yeah, I'm okay, sorry. It's just," he reached and lightly grabbed on one of your wrists. "I wasn't expecting that... If anything, I thought I would be the one to told you I love you. That is, if you wouldn't have freaked out haha..."

You laughed, not as nervous as he did, bringing your other hand to cover your face. You could understand him thought, why he was hesitant to tell you. Most people would sure have freaked out. But you're not 'most people'.

"Hey," you caught his attention, softness in your voice. "can I kiss you?"

You are going to kill him, he thought.

"Woah, you're really straightforward today, huh?" he asked teasingly hoping that would cover the noticeable embarrassment.

"Day?"

"Yeah." he confirmed chuckling. "We were talking so long the sun is already rising."

"Oh well." you shrugged. "I guess it's the perfect moment then."

Without any other warning you moved forward, your lips pressing softly to his. Warm sensation pulled in your chest, your own cheeks now heating up. It didn't take long for Leo to kiss you back lifting his free hand to lay on the back of your head, softly creasing your hair.

After several seconds that felt like an eternity, you pulled away taking a breathe, wide smile plastered in your face.

"So, are we now..?" Leo asked with the same grin, eyes sparkling with adoration.

"Hmm, I don't know, are we?" you teased tilting your head.

He laughed tugging your closer to him, wrapping his arms around you.

"Yeah, we definitely are."

Opinion on Reinhard's dad possibly seeing "the son he never had" on Garfiel? It could totally take that route tbh

oh anon as a heinkel fan (hes soo terrible but so fascinating and i WANT to see him get better and grow as a person. but also you may have known that since you are asking me this hah) and someone who is quite fond of garf i lovedddd the recent heinkel-garfiel chapters... and LMAO this idea of like. heinkel being a bit soft on garfiel bc yay!! new son replacement!!! is SO FUNNY ive thought about it a little bit. and IT WOULD BE FUN and i think heinkels arc is super interesting bc he kinda hit his rock bottom in like about arc 7-early arc 8 where its like. its post arc 5 astrea drama so shit just got even more bleak for heinkel, hes stuck in dangerous territory and he doesnt believe in himself At All and hes too depressed to really try all that much at anything.

but then GARFIEL comes along and saves heinkel a couple times and garfiel gets hit down but keeps getting right tf up - and that goes against like literally everything heinkel thinks. he doesnt try to be better bc he doesnt think he can ever accomplish it no matter how hard he tries, but garfiel is someone who just WONT stop trying.

and we also see that heinkel learning more about rowan and cecilus and the whole deal with the segmunts has made heinkel go "oh. okay haha maybe im not as far gone as i thought" bc heinkel gets shown another example of a dysfunctional family with an extremely op son and a deadbeat alcoholic dad and theyre a mirror of reinhard and heinkel. except rowan and cecilus are like if reinhard and heinkel werent so miserable about their shit relationship, bc as shitty as heinkels behavior is deep down he still CARES. he cares a lot about his family. he misses reinhard - why else would he need schult to be a replacement? he's still mourning that loss, if you think about it. but rowan is just so batshit that heinkel immediately goes backtracking like "OKAY IM. IM NOT THAT BAD. MAYBE THERES A TINY LITTLE SPECK OF HOPE FOR ME AFTER ALL."

and garfiel is helping to be a catalyst as well bc of his own determination to always keep growing and keep fighting no matter what gets in his way. hes a spunky little kid whos powerful but when faced with opponents stronger than him Refuses To Give Up. thats inspirational i think for heinkel, especially when its not as if hes a shit fighter, dude is just outshadowed by his family and other people around him. he just has to get up and keep trying, so its interesting that heinkel DOES find the courage to try and protect garfiel while garfiel's trying not to die.

like i do think that its heinkel like having this grudging respect for garfiel after the interactions theyve had, also possibly feeling inspired by garfiel and having that tiny bit of hope in him after meeting rowan and interacting with garfiel, and also trying to repay garfiel. bc heinkel treats himself like dirt and gets treated like dirt a lot - im sure his thought process might be "this kid took the time to keep saving me even though im literally worthless and now hes in danger, this is the least i can do". i would be interested if it went the route of like. heinkel having that fatherly instinct rekindled - i think itd be interesting for garfiel as well bc. he IS lacking a father figure, but for heinkel, i think that its clear with how he acts with schult that heinkel does kind of miss having a son and having that sort of love in his life.

we know he DID use to be a good dad, and tbh i always kind of headcanoned that heinkel probably isnt that mean with most kids unless its someone like. you know. subaru. or julius. or reinhard of course. like heinkels not that much of an ass when his life is on the line or when there isnt super personal stakes involved (ie astrea stuff). hes a character that carries a lot of guilt and shame and self-hatred, someone who's spiraled into being the worst version of himself when he used to be bright-eyed and hardworking and full of love despite the weight on his shoulders - i think he would see a very kind and determined and spirited kid like garfiel (and might be reminded of the kid he Used to love) and hope that garfiel doesnt end up like him (ie lost, burnt out, and depressed). we see this sort of behavior a bit with schult too, bc heinkel tries to give schult advice and tries to look after schult a bit in general!! and garfiel's like a better version of heinkel you know? garfiel's a bit abrasive with a quick temper and all but hes extremely well intentioned in just about everything he does. and i think heinkel might have a fondness for all of garfiel's antics at this point T^T

writing is so fun, but writing a cohesive plot line is soo hard :(

i have a million ideas for stories (mostly with the same characters, but in different AUs) and so many ideas for the plot, but organizing them together into something cohesive and good is just (-_-)

it's fun figuring it out, but at the same time i want to rip my hair out and give up writing forever but lmao it's not like i CHOSE to start writing. writing appeared in my bedroom when i was seven and appeared in the form of stories about mystical mermaid societies, horrifying monsters that brutally rip people apart, and fantasy adventures where the main character doesn't know what the fuck is going on but does shit anyway. it was the best thing i had. that, and other creative outlets, because i didn't have anything to do, or friends to talk to if i'm being honest (i still don't guys (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠))

but writing helped so much, and even though i never finished any books i tried to write, i love it when something comes together and i feel so proud. or i end up liking a character so much it just makes ya giggle y'know?

so i'm trying to join a community (cult??) to reignite the love of reading and writing i lost while focusing on other things. like my ambition to get into musical acting/voice acting (guys i was a theater kid i gotta i love singing so much)

How Stargate SG-1 would react to your they/them pronouns

Jack O'Neill: he's a little confused but he's got the spirit LMAO. I can easily see him trying to refer to you in conversation with you in the room and being like "so thEy... *side eyes you for confirmation and nods when you approve* and Carter were able to figure it out" (just an example). I should preface this post by saying I don't think anyone in SG command is bigoted or transphobic/enbyphobic and the only people who mIGHT give you a hard time would be the characters no one likes (like Maybourne or senator whatshisface I'm v new to this show lol only 3 seasons in soo) so fuck them lmfao. I give Jack a 8/10 ally score (an ally but still learning lol). (Also if anyone wants to see how SG-1 would react to a pride festival or other identities, please lmk!!)

Sam Carter: she's so sweet ahhhh I love her so much!!! 🥹🥹 Would 14/10 be so happy to support you and might even hold your hands in hers when you come out to her. She wants you to know she absolutely supports you no matter what. She might accidentally slip up and use the wrong pronouns so pls be kind to her, she'll feel so bad and she'll punish herself for messing up (someone protect this sweet soul 🥺🥺) Sam would do ANYTHING to show you that you are valued and respected at the SGC and she absolutely will smack down with a bigot who misgenders you on purpose (hold her back, Colonel!!) I give Sam 10/10 ally score and she most definitely would go to your first pride with you if you were nervous!

Daniel Jackson: dude this would not be a new concept to him whatsoever lmfao. His knee-jerk reaction to you coming out is probably to start rambling (he thinks he sounds more sensical than he does lol) about genderqueer/nonbinary/cisn't figures in history and mythology, which is his way of saying "you're not alone !!" but it can be,, a lot lol. He goes out of his way to make sure you know it is normal and not "unnatural" to go by they/them too 🥺 He would make the adjustment super easily and rarely ever slips up. (I can also see him in the past researching a historical figure, realizing they were trans, and that's where he got the smoothness of switching from. (it probably happened more than once, let’s be real.)) He definitely would get into heated verbal arguments with bigots about how normal trans/nonbinary-ness is in his eyes (as he should) and Col. O'Neill would have to hold him back from it becoming a physical altercation LOL. Side note: now that you came out to him, expect random ! bouts ! of queer ! trivia !! because he probably doesn't get to talk about it that often and he's just like !! ahhh!! a queerio to geek out with!! Overall a 9.5/10 ally score, just docking 0.5 points for anthropology-splaining queer history to you LMAO. I can definitely see him and Sam becoming your gender euphoria team and helping you feel comfy too!

Teal'c: I honestly don't know what to say except he gets it. It is done. He makes the change with a snap. He might even tell you the story of a transgender Jaffa warrior too if there is one! I think he definitely would say something like “I see no problem with this set of pronouns. If Y/N Y/L/N identifies as such, there should be no reason to deny them respect for their identity." (Teal'c is so nice 🥹🥹) I think if anyone purposefully disrespected you or misgendered you, he would go 0 to 100 and be like "In my culture, it would be well within my rights to kill you where you stand” and then Jack would show up again and be like "okay calm down" LOL. I can see Teal'c teaching you how to appear more masc if you're transmasc as well, like workouts and mannerisms and such, too! Teal'c is an 11/10 ally for me, and I would love to see him surrounded by drag queens at pride LMFAO.

Janet Fraiser: oh look, another amazing ally! She would have no problem referring to you as they and would hardly ever slip up! She's a 99.9% kinda girly LOL (get it,, germ killers,, she's a doctor,, hahahah...). Honestly the only time I can see her slipping up is if,, this is very specific,, if she's saving your life and needs to open up your shirt for the defibrillator LMAO yknow?? Which I think we can all excuse if she's literally in crisis mode saving your life!! Her brain isn't focused on pronouns right now!! Also! I think if you wanted to transition, she would refer you to her doctor friends who know about medical transition, and she would even help you with your hormone doses while you're on the base 🥹🥹 Even with checkups after off-world missions, she'd make sure you're super comfortable and feeling respected 😌 Janet is so sweet and I love her so much, I give her a 12/10 not bc I love her so much!! BUT bc she goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable in her care and in your body!! I can totally see Janet getting decked out in rainbows to go to pride with you too, don't ask why, I just can lol.

General Hammond: he tries!! Just forgive him, he's old LOL. No but he'd really try really hard even though he's not used to it and even though he slips up occasionally, there will be times where he goes out of his way to give you a heads up about when it might not be safe to be out as a they/them bby with certain people, like if a debriefing meeting involves someone who is vEry bigoted, he'll just kind of take you aside and be like "Y/N, I know your preferred pronouns are they/them (he absolutely would say "preferred" but he knows it's not optional 😌), but I would recommend not being out to the board we're meeting with today; they might not treat you as kindly as the rest of SG Command" (bless him for looking out for you 🥺🥺). He also kind of reminds me of my grandma in the sense that she sees me for who I am, but occasionally uses the wrong pronouns, but she’s a killer at getting it right through texts LOL. I give him a 8.5/10 because he's a real one and has proven it time and time again, and the effort is what counts 🥺 He might even put a little pride flag on a stick in his office pencil cup during June to show his solidarity 🥹🥰

"Overture" review

After so many years, Hazbin Hotel is finally out. As of making this, I was a bit surprised that Vivzie (and Prime) posted the first episode on YouTube with the series coming out soon but I’m not complaining, as I had a recent conversation with someone about if Vivzie would post the episodes on her YouTube channel over time and I think it could happen but SLOWLY, like months after season 1 is done and with months in between postings.

Now let’s begin this review/reaction literature. Along with obvious spoilers, this will be a long review (sorry in advance) but I would really appreciate if you could read the whole thing.

Being the premiere, it makes sense to start with exposition from Charlie. It’s also fitting that she tells it like a fairy tale as I see it reflecting how Charlie sees the world, though I bet it will change a bit later on. Hopefully she can still keep that POV a bit at the end of the series, maybe like a kind of modern day fairytale view of the world.

So 2 women are representing good and evil. I’m making a note for that as that is definitely going to lead to something.

I do like how the story is keeping the fact that Lucifer was good, like how some versions say Lucifer was God’s number 1 angel. Also in the scene with the angels working on Earth, one of the angels is shaped like that angel we saw in the season 1 trailer, meaning she and Lucifer likely go way back and confirming that she is really powerful/high ranking angel. Some say she is a refence to an old character of Vivzie’s of an angle who LOVED torturing sinners so who knows.

LILITH! Also this confirms that she WAS human. Hopefully this means Lucifer is okay with other humans/sinners, especially Vaggie (hint hint writers) and Lilith being the “queen of succubus” is an honorary title like I brought up in the past.

I am curious about what “pre apple Adam” was like and if he was any different than his modern age self. There definitely should be a prequel episode showing more details of how Lucifer and Lilith met and leading to everything else.

Lucifer X Lilith is soo cute, I really hope nothing bad happened between them before the events of the series, as for some reason people have been theorizing and headcanoning that.

I’m hoping that Charlie’s happy tone at that part of the story confirms that they are still together.

Charlie’s story quickly goes from Lilith and Lucifer falling in love to them interacting with Eve. I feel like later on we will learn that something big happened in between these events, another reason for why a prequel episode should happen one day.

The apple makes the figure of Eve glow a bit like that woman from the beginning representing evil, I knew that’d come in handy. This and the fact that the apple is supposed to represent the knowledge of BOTH good and evil but isn’t here makes me wonder if Eve will be a villain in the show? I mean Adam is and after seeing how he ended up, I could see Eve being much worse. Plus Vivzie did say that the female characters will have more focus in Hazbin Hotel so I’ll keep an extra eye out with them. I also want to point out that this scene of Eve looks a lot like the early released trading card of Lilith! There is this theory floating around related to that but I’ll save that when we get more info.

The stuff about evil coming to be is a bit interesting/confusing. I just find it a little hard to believe that both good and evil can both existed at the same time here but it only took Lucifer’s actions to release it. Where was it before then and what was it doing? Could this possibly be hinting that elements of other religions/mythologies exist in this series, and whatever was left over became Hell/evilness? I do recall Stolas mentioning a creature from one such mythology in “Seeing Stars”. Could the “epilogue” of the Norse Ragnarök story be canon in this world? I do like the idea of God being Baldur. This also reminds me of an old idea of mind for a pic so stay tune for that.

Since this is from Charlie’s/Hell’s POV I do think that some of these events aren’t 100% true, like I don’t picture Lucifer wanting to give humans free will BUT it’s not impossible, as maybe he was so prideful and truly through it would be a good idea. Maybe he did it for Lilith, as she thought it will help Eve not go through the kind of things she went through with Adam that made her miserable. The story also does make Lucifer more sympathetic, considering the fact that he and Lilith were just tossed to Hell and no mentions of a fan popular idea of a war between Heaven and Hell along with that odd line about Lucifer never seeing/wanted to see the good in humanity and gave up on it and dreaming, considering how prideful he is supposed to be and how to me Lucifer looks like the kind of guy who wouldn’t give up that easily. Maybe Charlie will discover that Lucifer liked the evil and decided to make more things to hurt humanity, which as a bonus hurt those that ignored him for so long. This also does make me think this could be another idea/reason for why Lucifer is against Charlie’s plan, as he knows Heaven will say no to her redemption idea every time and doesn’t want Charlie to go through that pain, which could also again relate to another idea I’ve mentioned before of Lucifer not wanting Charlie to be constantly under threat from Heaven and its forces like he is.

It JUST occurred to me that Lilith could have singing powers, like a bard or maybe even a sonic scream but I rather see that last thing happen with Stella first :3

Again that female angel from the trailer is show but this time she is sad, implying she doesn’t like the Exterminations while Adam is happy with the idea. I wonder if this means that the female angel, while she seems to be okay with the Exterminations during the events of the show COULD eventually be remined that she wasn’t always like this and at the end of the season could become an angelic ally of Charlie and helps her get her redemption plan in motion on the Heaven side of things.

So there is another reason for the exterminations instead of just population control. This could mean that the popular idea of Lucifer and Lilith making the deal so they could have Charlie could be true as well.

The scene of sad Charlie having her eyes open when her heart beats must be symbolic of the day she came up with her redemption plan.

I think that line about “Lilith’s hope passing down to Charlie” could be much darker than it sounds. Yeah Lilith and Charlie want Hell to thrive, but what if while Charlie thinks working with Heaven to solve the population problem would be best for everyone, Lilith hoped Charlie would destroy Heaven and thinks peace is too submissive in her eyes? Just a random idea but it could be a reason if there is tension between the mother and daughter.

I wonder if that book Charlie is reading was actually made by her, like her POV of everything, or made by her parents? Sure maybe they altered some things but maybe this is how she or they really think about things? If not then I bet the author got an earful from Lucifer about making him a quitter though after seeing Ozzie and Bee, Lucifer could be less prideful than we think he is.

So just like in the pilot, it seems like Charlie has a stronger connection to her mother and wants to make her proud, even if my idea of them having different wants to make Hell thrive is different. Again going back to the trailer maybe they will both get what they want and realize that there are other options, causing the two to bond and spend more time in the next season.

Thinking back I personally think it would have been interesting if the scene of Charlie reading the story and saying she would make her mom proud had been a flashfoward situation, taking place before the season finale. It has been implied in the trailer that a big battle between Hell and the Exorcist will happen, so I would have liked the idea of Charlie reading the book to remind her that what she is doing is the right thing in the end, and if the book HAD been made by her it would have been something to inspire future demons and sinners in case she doesn’t make it. That would be awesome and again fits with what I said about her altering things in the story if she is the writer.

Still funny to hear Charlie curse.

I know I’m late on the VA thing but I’m still going to post my thoughts about them when they come up, like right now as Vaggie’s new voice strangely reminds me of Harley Quinn’s Poison Ivy and It doesn’t help that those two characters are a lot alike. At least it leads to fun fanart as I love both shows.

“person doesn’t know someone is in the room with them” cliché

This episode is confirmed to take place shortly after the pilot. Specifically a week according to Vaggie later on.

Lilith’s 7 year gap is concerning but given how Charlie and her family are immortal, it probably isn’t that bad to them. It actually fits with this funny headcanon idea of mine about how when Lucifer and Lilith have big fights, they won’t see each other for decades or centuries before apologizing, but to them it is the equivalent of a day or two. I am a bit concerned that while her parents think this isn’t that long, it IS to Charlie, who is technically still “young” seemingly being only a few centuries old. This also goes back to that theory I was going to save for later, but it’s implied that Lilith is on a mission to stop something or someone but could be disguised as someone we know or could appear later on. I think we should play it safe when we see a modern day Lilith and assume that it could be someone else pretending to be Lilith.

Charlie X Vaggie are so CUTE!

I mentioned this in my HH S1 trailer breakdown but I still find the part of the commercial of the one guy stabbing the other funny cause the guy being stabbed doesn’t seem to mind XD.

That pic in Al’s commercial of Charlie and Lucifer better be overexaggerating, or I say we riot!

Also Al’s new voice is okay, though I do hear the difference. Can’t say the same thing for Angel as it sounds really odd like an accent is trying to get through his voice.

Husk and Niffty’s voices sound fine, Niffty’s being the most perfect so far.

I once brought up the idea of Charlie basing her teachings on Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, I just want to bring that up as a possible thing they will do for rehabilitation since they don’t have any ideas how to at this moment.

Was the scene of Charlie with wild eyes a meme or refence to something? It was still pretty funny.

So Lucifer wants Charlie to meet Adam for him. On one hand this could just be him being lazy OR maybe he is trying to help Charlie in his own way. That or like I said before, maybe he thinks if Charlie realizes what she is up against, it could make her want to quit her redemption goal.

Despite her father being an angel/fallen angel, Charlie doesn’t know if angels have hearts. I wonder how much of Lucifer did change when he became a fallen angel.

Ought to bring this up now but since she was born and raised in Hell, though she sees the flaws, I feel like it might be a little bit hard for Charlie to see why Heaven wouldn’t want to make it better or bring the people there into Heaven.

Charlie’s song, while nice, has reminded me about this old fan idea people had about a possible future scene where Charlie sadly realizes that not EVERYONE could/should be redeemed. I thought I bring it up because I could see that coming up soon.

I think that is Blitzo in the scene where Charlie hitches a ride on the delivery truck. Speaking of which (looking at logo) :)

I didn’t bring this up in my HH S1 trailer breakdown because I didn’t think it was need, but now it is. TLDR I wonder if Pentagram City is now more like a “country” or all of the Pride Ring with towns and named areas acting more like states. Until we get an episode outside of it and into another circle of Pride (something referenced in Helluva Boss and the HH pilot trailer WAY back by Katie Killjoy) I’ll likely treat Pentagram City as the whole Pride Ring.

I think I brought this up before, but if there is a Heavenly emissary in Hell, then I wonder if there is one for Hell in the outskirts of Heaven? Could this building allow sinners to talk to people, like loved ones in Heaven? Something like this would be perfect for my OC Ratchet, as one of his goals is to talk to his deceased/murdered little brother again.

It’s funny seeing Adam eat, considering his mouth doesn’t look real and thus should work. Also yes I see Adam eating ribs, but I’m not making a joke about it because it is a bit cheesy.

Honestly we should have seen the hologram thing coming, since I bet no angel in Heaven (as of now) wants to be in Hell unless it’s during an Extermination.

Adam’s behavior here is making my “pre apple Adam being an immature child” theory look canon, don’t you agree?

I think we’re seeing the Lilith side of Charlie when she is pretend laughing.

Adam and Eve aren’t a thing anymore. I knew that was coming, but it is still a bummer to hear as it is predictable. No surprise but I wonder if they split after the Cain incident, as I’m starting to wonder if in this world, Cain was a lot like his father as he is now.

Though as 1D as he is, at least this makes Adam a good antagonist, unlike with Stella but that is getting WAY off topic. I do hope that Adam is just going to be the antagonist of this season, and after that he is either written off or given the Emperor Pilaf treatment and be demoted to a very, VERY minor threat. This way other antagonist could arrive leading to new challenges for Charlie and the others.

AGAIN SOMEONE DO SOMETHING, GET LUCIFER OR LILITH!!!

Charlie seems to be thinking like her dad when she tries to use Adam’s ego to get her project started.

Though mainly for laughs, I’m still going to guess that cameras, being on camera, or being watched/the focus of is going to have a connection to Niffty’s backstory. One really sad theory is that an older guy she liked was a stalker who eventually abducted her and showed her off to his friends and though Niffty eventually escaped and killed him, their struggle caused a fire to break out which would kill her too. This obviously messed her up and likely resulted in her obtaining something like Stockholm syndrome and having her mind regress to that of a child, explaining some of her personality quirks.

Just a personal thought, but I hope later on the writers will stop calling sinners as demons and just call them sinners or humans, as I feel like it is going to lead to problems later on. I mean what if one day we get a character that looks like a Hellborn demon but is actually a sinner… OMG LIKE BAXTER!

Al just being Al, which is still concerning. Heck even his “deal’ with Vaggie sounds like there is more to it, and I don’t mean that thing about how deals make people stronger. Then there is the way he said ‘your choice” though that could be the acting.

Some things here. The O on the Director’s chair is shaped like an eye which could be referencing Al’s cane or something else, Niffty refencing Marilyn Monroe, and the return of the characters outfits from “Alastor’s Reprise”.

Insert “Lute being prideful for not accounting that Lucifer is an angel” comment here.

So how would having a former sinner in Heaven be any different then how Adam acts? I bet it will be more complicated than that. I once brought up the idea of demons being scared of sinners because of their potential, so maybe Heaven has a similar thing? Maybe Heaven doesn’t know HOW to loosen restrictions to get more people or sinners into Heaven, as when they made the rules they didn’t have the foresight to make sure things could change with the times. I do recall a quote from the Bible that was about how souls couldn’t get into Heaven for a time until Jesus arrived and opened the gates. Heck there is another saying where Jesus DID get some people out of Hell which caused some quakes, maybe he coined the term Hellquakes. I wonder if a great sacrifice will have to be made in order to get worthy souls out of Hell? The Jesus thing also adds more to my idea of Jesus and Charlie being allies later in the series.

Though short, you can see during Adam’s song that Zhu Li, I mean Lute, does have a bit of a fun side deep down in that serious soldier personality.

How high ranking is Adam in Heaven’s hierarchy if he can change the date of Exterminations? You think he would have to run that with other people like the archangels or seraphim.

After what she went through, it was nice to see Charlie happCOME ON!

This was going to come up eventually but I have mix feelings about Brandon Rogers being the new VA for Katie Killjoy. One main reason is that I personally see too many similarities between Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss (especially with the characters) and now having a VA from HB be in HH makes that list bigger. I also wonder if this decision was made as a kind of “damage control” since last time the character of Katie Killjoy was on screen she said something homophobic which got people angry, even though the series is in Hell and there are logically going to be people like that there. HOWEVER I understand why he was chosen, one being that he has played Katie Killjoy like characters already and I do like that they got someone that is easy to contact and has experience in such a role to do it then someone new. This has also strangely started making me connect Katie Killjoy to the Monarchs from the Venture Bros., like the daughter they never had who never went into costumed villainy (the news world can be evil though) which makes no sense but I LOVE IT anyway. I mean she acts like The Monarch but with a joke voice like Dr. Mrs. the Monarch, and the fact that she smokes and is insect themed just adds more to it XD.

AGAIN how did Adam get this through so fast? I wonder if Charlie will be blamed for this next episode? Eventually it will be revealed but I hope they do it sooner than later, as I do recall a screenshot of the Overlords talking about the Exorcist.

Also I feel like a line should have been added explaining that the upcoming Extermination will be worse than usual. I mean we the viewers know that but if it wasn’t for that Lute and Adam scene in the end, it would have looked like everyone is just panicking about something common happening earlier than usual. Maybe they do offscreen, going back to that Overlord meeting.

An angel drone? Is this a Sumerian mythology refence?

A dead Exorcist! Though not a surprise given it was spoiled via the trading cards along with it appearing MUCH earlier than I thought it would, it’s still interesting as now we have a mystery.

I find hard to believe that no one took down an Exorcist until now given how powerful sinners can be, but then again the writers seem to be making the forces of good/Heaven really OP which I’m not like that much. I don’t it would have hurt the story if it was revealed that while there are a few angelic casualties in every Extermination, the number has risen over the past several years which has now made the Exorcist army (not Adam because he probably sucks at his job and never noticed it) worried leading to the earlier Extermination plan.

It also seems that angels have golden blood, like the ichor in Greek myth. Looks like my headcanon of Heaven/Hell inspiring the various other myths of this world is canon!

This episode was a good starter for the season and series. While it feels a lot like another pilot at times, that is fine since it’s been years since the actual pilot, and the episode does add more new info to the series (a benefit of having a short season) like another glimpse at what Heaven is like and how they feel about Hell, along with adding in a situation that now effects everyone and can lead to future situations/interactions.

We also now have an interesting mystery going on about who could have killed that Exorcist. I think it’s likely going to be someone in Heaven wanting an excuse to attack Hell, I mean Lute really hates them so she could be the one or others suspects are that angel from the S1 trailer/was seen at the beginning of the episode and an old character of Vivzie’s named Roo who apparently represents all evil, and who people have been thinking is coming up soon. Heck maybe an actual demon like a goetia did it while trying to escape, or this was a result of accidental friendly fire? This is going to be fun.

The only negatives things about this episode are that I do agree that some of the new VAs, though talented, are kind of out of place for the characters especially Angels. I bet we will get use to them over time though. Then there are the very small things like how Adam has so much power to do things, and either changing a few scenes or adding a line.

I have one more theory I have to say before I end this. I think this whole season is going to be some kind of Heavenly challenge/test for Charlie. I wouldn’t be surprised if Heaven IS tired of Adam’s attitude especially when compared to how nice the daughter of Lucifer and Lilith of all people is, but they can’t discipline him given he is the leader of their army. This doesn’t help that they also see signs of a potential future threat coming up (likely why Lilith has been gone for so long) and think that Adam won’t be able to handle it, so some angels think Charlie should be the one trained to deal with this force while others think they should stick with Adam and just prepare for when he messes up. This is why the higher ups are allowing Adam’s early extermination to happen because they want to see if Charlie can handle this situation, along with seeing her skills at being a leader and most importantly see if she will still be her nice self in the process. If she fails then thing stay as they are, but if she passes then the angelic forces will give Charlie the chance to try and convince the forces of Heaven to go with her redemption plan, and demote/get rid of Adam as karma. Again it would be a way to get rid of Adam as a villain and have someone else fill in the role next season. Same for how the writers could use this to lead this to a bigger story like a GOW Ragnarök like reveal where Charlie finds out the generic “end of days” prophecy is a lie and the real prophecy says something big will come to destroy everything in Heaven, Hell, and Earth and it’s debated on if she could be the one destined to fight it and save everything.
