This is my only teriyaki sauce recipe I use! It’s super easy to remember and comes out perfectly tasty every time! I also use this sauce for tofu steak, beef bowl and veggie stir fry!!

Teriyaki Chicken Ramen Burger
I am super fortunate to have my food photography be featured in a Sorted Food video and a Travel & Leisure article. The links are below! Also, I developed a recipe for a Teriyaki Chicken Ramen Burger and included it below. It is super easy to make!

1.       Boil water and cook ramen noodles until al dente.
2.       Beat two egg yolks in a bowl and season with salt/pepper.
3.       Stir noodles into egg mixture and divide noodles into ramekins. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
4.       Mix teriyaki sauce, scallions, and chicken breast together. Let the meat marinate for about 30 minutes.
5.       Heat up a cast iron skillet and fry each ramen burger bun until golden brown (crispy).
6.       Fry the meat and assemble/garnish the ramen burger.

My sister’s Roast Chicken Rice which is actually deep-fried but everyone in Singapore and Malaysia called it by the former name. Mum’s Saba Fish & Rice Set (S$5.50 + S$0.30 container) from the Japanese/Korean stall. As for me, I chose the Saba Fish & Teriyaki Chicken Bento (S$5.50 + S$0.30 container). While mum’s side dish came with kimchi, mine was pickled vegetables.

I’ve been watching J. Kenji Lopez-Alt journey through Seattle on YouTube trying all the teriyaki spots, and why am I not surprised that I had a huge craving for chicken teriyaki.
The chicken teriyaki and gyoza combo, just as my man kenji would order. The gyoza sauce is soy sauce and a hint of jangajji brine which is a Korean pickle containing jalapeños, radish and onions, and a dash of gochugaru. The salad dressing is a miso mayo based dressing that’s been watered down a little bit to lower its viscosity.
It’s a very untraditional teriyaki as I didn’t actually use a teriyaki marinade, I used my bulgogi asada marinade and just cooked my marinated chicken thighs on the plancha, it’s the closest I can get to an actual grill in my living arrangement. The marinade had enough sugar to caramelize on the meat and leave those nice little charred bits
