okay on a serious note it's something i confronted now and then as an 18-19 year-old, but i think ppl tend to shy away from talking about it. at that time, my nonbinary identity was many things, but one of them was a way of coping with both the real and imagined reasons I couldn't pursue medical transition. i was in an uncomfortable position of knowing i was a long way from passing or anything like that, and i think a nonbinary label was a good way to try and avoid the inevitable slotting-into a transmisogynistic caricature, both one of hysteria and shame at my predicament and also the more cutting implication of sexual perversion. needless to say, it didn't help, i still got to be accused of both of those things, but i think it helped me to feel like less of a stereotype

I'm an itty-bitty bitch and while the topic of vtuber graduation is on the table... am i the only one that finds it cringe as hell to call it "graduation?" This is so in line with the issues I have with produced vtubing culture. It's a deliberate decision to disguise the real world happenings behind the production, intended to keep fans distracted and immersed in a never-ending fantasy that the personalities they're interacting with ("interacting") aren't really people, so it's still okay to obsess over them, make porn of them, etc. Rather than just be up front and say "this actor is quitting" or "this actor had to be fired," we get this fantastical explanation, "oooh sorry everyone, but Demona Demonhorns is now evolving into the next state of existence, dissolved from our dimension. Remember to buy her merchandise before it's too late." Of course they have to dress it up like this, because the fandom culture behind produced vtubers is one of self-delusion -- it's why no one is ever honest about vtuber topics, because being honest and critical would outright ruin most of the fun to be had around vtubers.

hiii im sure you’ve answered this before but in regards to your twst x Pokémon, how do you choose which Pokémon go give to the cast?? really curious since your choices are unique :O

unique in a good way, I hope? 😅 (jk jk I haven't come across too many pokemon AUs, so I was going in without preconceptions, I guess!) I was sorta aiming somewhere between doing, like, a full AU with internal consistency and everything, and just picking entirely based on theme/character, so maybe that's why! basically I just set some arbitrary rules (no legendaries/no repeats/evo stages based on year) and then went on ~vibes~. a couple were also suggestions (thank you guys!) and last-minute decisions, so it was a bit of a delightful mess of ideas!

my one regret is that I should have given Riddle a Togedemaru after all. ...you know what, he can have one now, why not

ed is absolutely panicking in 2x7 bc he’s seeing stede having the time of his life being a famous pirate and he’s genuinely happy for stede but also he wants out of this life and he’s afraid stede will choose piracy over him and so he’s leaving first before stede can leave him again, all of which is bc deep down ed still thinks he’s unlovable and he’s scared to get hurt by stede again and he’s handling everything very badly

all that being said

the fact that ed has already decided that he can’t choose piracy for stede’s sake is so important to me

piracy was slowly killing ed long before stede entered the picture. and now that ed’s decided that he wants warmth and food and orgasms and he wants to live he’s not going to force himself to do a job that makes him fucking miserable. he still might not think he’s worth love and not worth choosing, but he’s at least moved past thinking he deserves to die. he’s past making himself so miserable that he wants to die. ed still has a lot of work to do but he’s making good progress and i’m proud of him.
