Nicki L. Aycox, atriz de 'Olhos Famintos II' e 'Sobrenatural' falece aos 47, nos EUA

A talentosa e conhecida atriz norte-americana Nicki Lynn Aycox faleceu nesta quarta-feira (16) na Califórnia, nos Estados Unidos.

Aycox ficou bastante famosa por seu papel como Minxie Hayes, a jovem premonitória no grande filme ‘Olhos Famintos II’ (Jeepers Creepers, 2003), e também como Meg Masters, o demônio Meg, nas quatro primeiras temporadas da famigerada série ‘Sobrenatural’ (Supernatural, 2005–2020). E além do mais, a famosa série ‘Dark Blue: No Limite da Lei’. (Dark Blue, 2009–2010).

BIOGRAFIA RESUMIDA DE NICKI AYCOX:

Nicki vem de origem humilde. Ela era nativa do estado de Oklahoma, nos Estados Unidos — mais precisamente da cidadezinha de Hennessey (2.500 habitantes, aprox.). Ela começou sua carreira apresentado-se em concursos e festivais de talentos, ainda quando criança com 9 anos de idade. Ela tocava piano em apresentações e na pré-adolescência já executava Beethoven nas redondezas de sua cidade. Sua família, mais tarde, infelizmente foi obrigada a vender o seu piano por problemas financeiros. Ela então, ingressou no teatro, e posteriormente, no cinema.

O primeiro papel de Nicki foi na série de TV, ‘Weird Science’, homônima do famoso filme, estreada em 1994. Nos anos 2000, ela já era considerada uma musa teen.

Ao longo de sua carreira, ela participou de filmes famosos como ‘A Perfeita Estranha’ (Perfect Stranger, 2007) e ‘Gangues da Noite’ (Dark Angel, 2001), no filme inspirado na série — ‘Arquivo X: Eu Quero Acreditar’ (The X Files: I Want to Believe, 2008), e teve bastante destaque com vários papeis em séries, e ao longo da carreira, e também atuando em muitos filmes mais modestos de subgêneros do Terror.

Ela é creditada por um total de 52 papéis em filmes e séries, como atriz, em sua página do IMDb.

FALECIMENTO — A DOENÇA DE NICKI:

Em 2020, a atriz Nicki Aycox aposentou-se de sua carreira de atriz, quando foi diagnosticada com uma terrível leucemia.

Nos últimos dois anos, desde então, ela tem enfrentado uma severa batalha contra a doença. Segundo se relata, ela inicialmente pensou que havia contraído o vírus da COVID-19, após sentir-se muito doente.

Ela, desde então, passou por diversas sessões de quimioterapia e também fez tratamento com transplante de células-tronco. O processo de tratamento foi documentado na conta do Instagram de Nicki.

O último vídeo publicado por ela foi em março deste ano, perto da data de 1 ano do seu diagnóstico, em 2021, e no qual ela canta rapidamente trechos da música “Here I Go Again” do Whitesnake no seu leito de hospital, após uma sessão de quimio. Como ela própria se apresentava, em sua descrição no Instagram, ela era uma Chief vegana e amante da natureza. Ela também fazia ioga e pintava por hobbie. Uma artista nata.

A informação de sua morte foi dada por sua cunhada, através de seu Facebook: “Minha linda cunhada, inteligente, feroz, incrivelmente talentosa e amorosa, Nicki Aycox Raab, faleceu ontem, ao lado de seu marido.”, escreveu Raab Celosky.
