A/n I was running out of pet names I knew at the end sorry

- Bo will call you darlin, baby, babe or pretty girl. I could also calling you his little lamb. When he’s mad though, he’ll call you bitch or whore.

- Oh my gosh, Baby will call you just about anything. She mostly, however calls you sweetheart, sugar, honey, darling, pudding, cutie or love bug.

- Otis will address you as bitch anytime of the day. Even if he’s not mad at you, he could be HAPPY with you and be like “come hear bitch” and wouldn’t think twice. He will also call you mama, babygirl, bunny and missy.

- Amanda would call you something basic like baby, babe, MAYBE baby girl I’m not sure about that one though. She’s always calling you a pretty girl. I’m sure she’d occasionally throw in sweetie or sweetheart.

- Albert would of course call you dove, my love, sweetheart, honey, doll, baby. He’d only use degrading names when he’s angry.

- This man is a SIMP. Corey would call you baby, babe, my love, darling, baby girl, pretty girl and cutie!

- Mommy. He’d call you mommy, maybe mama. He’s a lil freak I fear.

- Mark isn’t a crazy romantic, he’d call you things like darling, babe, hot stuff and some other oddly specific name he comes up with.

- Dollface would call you sweet and cute names! Such as, baby, pumpkin, darling, kitty, bunny, love, sweetie, baby cakes and pretty girl.

im sure many much smarter and much more articulate people have said this before but i think the reason Jordan Peele is such an incredible horror director is because of his previous work in comedy. thats the reason the people who try to copy his style never quite get it, because they arent familiar with the way comedy and horror work together so perfectly. its like sweet and salty, theyre great separately but work even better together.

I don't know what about France seems to crank up the dial so hard on horror. Australia is where horror goes in absolutely bizarre directions, but France seems to amp up the stakes, the realism, the emotional trauma of it all. So it's not a huge surprise for something like Infested (Vermines, 2023) to be as good as you're going to get from the killer spider genre. It's worth the price of entry for the spiders alone, but the real showcase is the characters and subtext throughout. This is a movie that is interested in the lives of disenfranchised groups - poor, racial minorities, immigrants, etc - both the communities they live in and how they're treated in society. Infested is firing spectacularly on all cylinders, working as a conventionally exciting and thrilling monster movie, a deeply distressing experience of trauma and terror as I've started expecting from anything French in horror, and a coherent idea of how disposable people at the bottom of the socioeconomic rung are considered. Over the course of the movie what emerges is the idea that while it is a story about scary deadly spiders, the title "Infested" is not about the arachnids.

Re-Animator Fandom Canon Opinion Poll!

Since Beyond Re-Animator is controversial amongst most Re-Animator fans - one of the biggest critiques being Dan's exclusion and/or him testifying against Herbert - I'm curious to see what would be the most popular rewrite to the canon. Regardless of your thoughts on Beyond Re-Animator, as a movie/story as a whole, I'm just interested in your preferred outcome/status of Herbert and Dan post Bride of Re-Animator. i.e. what do you think is the most likely, in-character/appropriate outcome/consequences after the events of Bride? I mainly approached asking this question with a focus on the opinion of Herbert and Dan's relationship to each other and how the judicial system views them.

So, that being said...

*Herbert and Dan are wanted fugitives, but have avoided arrest

**Wracked with guilt, Dan is on the outside actively trying to rectify his actions by attempting to overturn Herbert's conviction, lessen his sentence, etc. Whether Herbert is made aware of this effort and Dan's specific method to free him is up to you.
