RANDOM/UNPOPULAR ASTRO OBSERVATIONS
══════════════
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media

warning! These are my observations and unpopular opinions!!
🦋 Mars in gemini how yall like starting multiple projects at once and then stopping because it's boring? This placement may also give a lil bit of ADHD.
🦋 Sun in 12th housers are VERYY VERYYY VERYYY private & mysterious. These people have such a dreamy aura and appearance to them!
🦋 I really haven't seen many people talk about Lilith in the solar return chart but babyyyyy..... watch out for her if she falls into your 1st house cuz omgggg. Lilith will take you for a loop when it comes to how others view you. Constant unwanted commentary on your appearance. Impacts how you feel about yourself definitely could have an effect on your mental health.
Oh yeah and if Lilith falls into ur 1st, channel that dark goddess energy because this is a great time for transformation when it comes to your beauty and how others & yourself view u. People can also definitely obess over you.
🦋 Not only are Mars in 3rd rude but they are also the punctuation police! 🚨 🙁🙄
Aqaurius are very smart but we knew this. This one for my Aqau Moons: (luh yall)
🦋 Yes I'm an Aqaurius moon & yes I have unpopular opinions/ I'm a wierdo. And yes idgaf what you think about my unpopular opinions because in the end...... I'm always right..... 🤷🏽‍♀️
(As I proceed to state an unpopular opinion.....😁)
This may be an unpopular opinion but I speak from own experiences/ intuition when I do astrology so let me know if some of yall resonate with this;
So we know how Venus is exalted in pisces and can show like unconditional love, spiritual love and they tend to be very creative.
I feel like 7th house lord in 12th house / Neptune in 7th house can replicate this. This placement gets a bad rep yes you do attract a lot of narcissistic people and you daydream about your partners and put them on a pedestal. BLAH BLAH BLAHHHH....😫🙄
But whether your spiritual or not this could ultimately lead you to be in a highly spiritual connection with someone and neptune/12th house are like prophecies, future predictions you know......
So when you have this placement if your having dreams or you keep getting signs about a certain person I feel this can lead you to the right person. You just have to really listen and be intuitive to make the right decisions.
This can also make the native to be very creative and imaginative. I could go on and on about this placement but it's truly beautiful and to me resembles venus in pisces. Juno In 12th may also give this.
Is it just me......or do aries men be kinda very mean? I'm a aries and ik i can be mean but it's only when I feel very passionate about something & i dont like to potray that energy to others outwardly but aries men can kinda be very mean at any time ....🥺😣 I luh my aries tho....yall men just be a Lil mean.
Venus in scorpio may get hurt in love alot or have alot of sexual partners. obsessive partners as well
I feel like 1st house lord in 7th can represent beauty as well since 7th house is libra ruled by venus ♀ . This can give the native balanced features
~ These natives also tend to attract a lot partners to them. It could be a case where you don't want a relationship but they just come to you
I watch a video on YouTube from Novi Brown's channel this girl said it's best to get things done during your Saturn sign szn because saturn restricts things & it's hard for you to see & understand lessons. I believe it to be trueeee!!
Ex: my saturn is in cancer
(This may be a little biased since I'm a cancer rising but it worked for me)
In 2020 in cancer szn I Started losing weight and working out/ dieting. (This changed my life)
In 2021 in cancer szn I started looking for a job because I was sick of being home all the time (Isolation my saturn is in the 12th)🙄
In 2022 in cancer szn that same Job I got in 2021 I was promoted to be a manager. These gave me new experiences and helped me get ahead in a way. It was my first job and I was promoted in under a year!
🦋 4th house placements and their privacy
🦋 Saturn ruled signs can be very tone deaf 😭😫

dont like how emotionally charged discourse in this fandom is. i mean im guilty of it so let get my own hypocrisy out of the way LMAO but when you get down to it so many people go into character analysis with their pre-conceived notions of a character and already formulated opinions and that's just not really the one and only way to discuss characters. if youre going to talk about a character and you want to be sincere with it, strip yourself of how you feel about them (or at least take your bias into consideration) and (for the love of GOD) look at canon content and then analyze them based on that. you can acknowledge how a character may make people feel and you can talk about how context and backstory can result in a certain emotional impact in most people but you cannot just expect everyone to think the way you think and feel the way you feel about a character when the way you feel about them is backed up by emotion and biases. I don't know im probably wrong about this but the polarity i see on here is insane

yk, it kind of annoys me when people rag on shinso for "coasting through life with his quirk". like, there are plenty of other valid criticisms of his character in canon (though admittedly i love his fanon characterization a lot bc of my own biases) but that one always gets under my skin. because that's,,, something basically every canon character does? if you have a quirk, youre going to use it, and the metric for which people use to identify a character as "relying on their quirk too much" seem inconsistent at best. even our very own main character midoriya starts relying on his quirk for everything basically as soon as he can use it without hurting himself, and we stop getting those fun moments where he gets to show his intelligence and creativity nearly as often as theyre replaced with "who can punch harder" contests.
also people who claim shinso did no physical training before the entrance exam, or before aizawa picked him up. because as far as im aware,,, thats never stated in canon? i think people are assuming that if he did any physical training, he would've automatically gotten into the hero course, but that's just not true. even if he trained as hard as he physically could, its gonna be basically impossible for a 15 year old who doesnt have a quirk that gives them an advantage to win against enough robots to pass... which is the literal point of the test. and before anyone brings up hagakure or ojiro, ojiro has an extra limb which canonically helps with his destructive power (he uses his tail to destroy things his punches/kicks couldnt multiple times) and professional martial arts training that shinso clearly doesnt have based on how he flailed during his fight with midoriya, and hagakure is invisible so she can easily sneak up on the robots and take the time to find their weaknesses without being attacked. clear advantages.
and even if he did absolutely no combat training, that could easily be a result of the whole quirk-centric society brainwashing everyone that their quirk makes them who they are. that they have to rely on it, and use it as their guide on who/what to become. so the fact that people are so quick to chalk it up to stupidity and arrogance, when it could easily be just a teenager who isnt immune to propaganda being bitter (and admittedly cruel, like i said not a fan of his canon characterization) when he tries to do something good with his "evil" quirk and it doesnt work, or hell any number of hundreds of other explanations, annoys me a bit. (i realize this is probably coming off as more of an angry rant than im intending, but im not actually that upset about it, im just trying to communicate my thoughts clearly.) ultimately, i dont think we have enough info on shinso's character to decide things like that, you know? and i dont think its productive to just decide that one interpretation of the very limited information we have on his thoughts and actions is the canon one, and then bash/praise him for that interpretation.
i think that's also why tagging things as OOC isnt really done anymore unless its egregious, because there are so many interpretations of characters that are close enough to canon that that version of them can be argued, and a lot of times the person who holds that interpretation is truly convinced that version in their heads is canon, to the point that anyone saying it isnt is automatically deemed an idiot who can't read. so its easy to say "people should tag more things as OOC", but it takes a lot to be aware that how you read a character may not be what is actually displayed in the text or what the author intended, and a lot of people only think about how they read the story due to their own biases or creativeness or pet peeves, not the literal reading of the text. its especially hard in manga, when drawings of facial expressions can sometimes be argued to display a number of emotions, thoughts, etc.
and that one post where someone said that shinso would die immediately if he had to fight someone with a weapon, when he wasnt trained, and they were genetically physically immune to his quirk?? like, yeah, obviously??? so would anyone! these hypotheticals are meaningless, because you could easily say "well, what is hagakure had to fight someone with a gun who had heat vision on day one, she'd probably die" or any other random character and scenario. it means nothing, especially since shinso was actively training to get into a school where he would be trained to both use his quirk and what to do when he cant use it. just saying "well he wasnt good at fighting before he got in" is a terrible argument. i agree with a lot of the rest of the post, but that one part baffled and irritated me.
I think Hitoshi’s biggest flaw is that the world building around him sucks. Had he been shown to train and still failed and had we actually been showed that he’s been bullied, his anger would’ve been justified or at least understandable/sympathetic. Instead we have… nothing, which makes him seem like he’s throwing a temper tantrum and/or comes off as entitled. On paper, he’s not a bad character whatsoever, and the same goes for Shota. The main issue with both characters comes from how they’re executed and how they mesh with the world they’re in.

ive been enabled so im making a new post for it <3 n e ways welcome to my list of what characters the straw hats would play in guilty gear strive
luffy - sin kiske/may
ok first of all im entirely biased but luffy would fucking LOVE sin, like the bit of him eating to get buffs would DEEPLY entertain luffy (although he'd use it entirely way too much and get blown up for it)
but for both characters, i think he'd be a big fan of doing like one hit and a simple combo and absolutely DESTROYING someone's health bar, which fits for both of these. he wouldn't be very GOOD at the game because he wouldn't be able to sit still and wait for openings or anything of the sort but boy would he be great at corner pressure (until he gets dp'd)
zoro - nagoriyuki
i swear to you im not just giving the sword guy the sword guy (although that's certainly a factor because i bet you that'd influence zoro's character decision) but like. zoro is also the type to want to do one combo that does a ton of damage
i think he'd be moderately better than luffy and defense and neutral though, being able to open people up with pokes (cough cough beyblade cough cough), but he'd CONSTANTLY spend too much blood, although he plays surprisingly well inside of blood rage
nami - asuka r#
nami is the type to want to stand on one side of the screen with her opponent on the other side of the screen and just shoot so many fucking cubes at them honestly. plus i think she'd be really great at keeping track of spells and resources while she plays
however if u can get in on her? it's over, she has negative defense and constantly flails and mashes her way to death, but otherwise she's a pretty solid player. also, im a wizard's whimsy believer regarding nami so. asuka!
usopp - happy chaos/axl low
usopp is ALSO a zoner main but like. to the fucking extreme. hes GOING to guard crush loop you from across the entire screen hes GOING to rensen your ass for a whole round hes GOING to be sent through the fucking wall if you close in on him
sanji - giovanna
ok so i actually think this is a cool decision because like. we see gio use her hands in like...2? 3? of her moves? like its 5p 2p and 6p and thats about it. and its GIVING SANJI!!!!
i do think that sanji would have fun playing a rushdown character but also he'd get so good at playing defense bc he doesnt want to let gio get harmed
chopper - jack-o' valentine
CHOPPER WOULD HAVE A FUCKING BLAST PLAYING JACK-O'!!!!! i dont think hed be good at strive by a long stretch but hed LOVEEEE controlling the goobers and all the silly animations hed be having the time of his life
the ASSUMPTION might be faust but i think chopper finds him too creepy to enjoy playing him regularly
robin - anji
robin is a fucking MASTER in neutral i am convinced of this, specifically that she can just. get her opponent to do what she wants. so easily. and then she uses spin and kills them! as is her right!!!
this one is more vibes than anything but i do think she'd enjoy spin and counter as moves to just fuck with her opponent in a major way, plus anji just being a graceful motherfucker
franky - potemkin/goldlewis dickinson
franky doesnt want to play your silly little game. he doesnt want to hold your mix, he doesnt want to set up oki, he doesnt want to play neutral, he wants to KILL YOU AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE
this isnt how he approaches things in life but i think theres something about strive that would just make him want to do the biggest damage possible with the least amount of hits and he'd want to land every fucking pot buster and behemoth typhoon to ever exist. unfortunately this means he wouldnt entirely be engaging with the strategy side of the game and would frequently be blown up but if he can get one grab on you hes happy.
brook - i-no
look. ok. the music connection is awesome and i think brook would enjoy mixing you into oblivion but. i have never met an i-no player who doesnt play her at least in part because she's hot. and thats absofuckinglutely how brook would choose who he plays LMAO
like its JUST the nature of the world. but in terms of gameplay yeah i think he'd like flitting around the screen with her hoverdash and divekicks and he'd have so much fun with her pressure and mix
jinbe - sol badguy
ok for legal reasons i have to specify that like i have met jinbe and know him im thr series but not super well so take my opinions with a grain of salt. but anyways i think jinbe would have a lot of fun with sol, he feels like the type who wouldnt like play strive much on his own but REALLY get into it when playing with other people, and i need him to experience the euphoria of hitting a clean hit hvv or getting a wallbounce combo
i also think he's another fan of doing a shit ton of damage all at once but i think he's willing to do some comboing and some setups to get there, and i think he's get REALLY fucking good at stagger pressure it would be scary

Hmm.. interesting (qsmp rambles)
Note: All roleplay/characters
So much has happened lately in one day! Apparently Bad has to do a survey for the fed, Cellbit has done the final code/enigma, Forever's plan to leave the island, Pac&Mike's plan against Foolish, and Roier found a book that Foolish possibly wrote with a gun in the grandma room of Cellbit's castle.
I find all of them interesting, but since im massively biased, i wanna focus on Foolish's and Bad's since im super curious with what's been happening to them. The questions seem like they plan to do something to change themselves, maybe they'll make actual changes? It'll be interesting if they actually listen to the suggestions and answers of the different members. Bad used the reward in order to ask the possible entities the federation has created, which is pretty smart since itll answer several of the questions we have, including the code, the eggs, and the island overall. It's interesting that the federation is rewarding or making transactions with this, I guess its self aware of everyone's distrust. If they ever do answer the question honestly, i feel like they'll be just as vague, but at least they're giving answers unlike the past months lmao
About Foolish's book and gun in Cellbit's castle, the thing is, theres at least 2 possibilities:
Richas was the one that put it, including the gun! Since he has a gun himself and may know some spanish, and is there to simply hide it for fun or for others to also possibly get it.
Foolish hid it, changed the contents of the book ( since the book wasn't with codes nor written in spanish before ) because he wanted to give a gun for fun! This is indicated further based on Foolish's (supposed to be qsmp) recent stream with the emoji as Grandma and his statements about his guns to Forever, saying he already has possible plans behind it. This means he did this offstream ;)
It's definitely leaning more towards Foolish, especially the overall mannerisms of the book, with the middle finger at the end of the page and random codes. But i wonder why he would do it in general, most likely for fun since its not like many ppl have any ammo for the gun. Yet I cant help but feel like its such a weird move, especially now that many people suspect him to be working for the federation! But this does establish that he would never be fully with the feds, which are definitely against spreading around guns lmaoo
I'm not super informed about Pac&Mike's possible plan, but from what I know they may use Rey(Phoenix) as a hostage, possibly do something to Foolish's dragon (Keep in mind they will be avoiding hurting Leo here), or kill him after an interrogation;
Killing him off wont be too incriminating, maybe except the badge but thats it really it
Interrogating him may be useful as long as they don't go in circles like the previous interrogations, its best to listen but also dont expect a direct answer from him. Imo its best to keep it casual, but if they don't have the patience, then go off
Rey as a hostage - Maybe possibly can work since he can be very attached to animals, i.e Mr. Mustard, but it depends highly if he feels actually threatened.
Destruction of Foolish's Dragon - Easier but more riskier to execute, probably should be the last resort!
If theres one thing i would recommend when it comes to trying to get through to Foolish, Bad probably knows more tactics since he knows Foolish very well. I know the trap/revenge will be done tomorrow but I feel like they could've benefited from taking advice from Bad at some point. Not sure if this is confirmed but if Foolish does stream tomorrow I wonder how he'll react to Pac&Mike's experiences. Since his moral compass is nowhere near similar to theres, I think they may misunderstand his intentions based solely off of his not so straight morals. If Mike ever does do revenge, from what I know of Foolish, he would never clap back at Mike (unless if it involves Leo and his family). Foolish is pretty chill and tries not to maintain any grudges, so if he was killed off, I think he would understand. In the end though, I do hope they come to an understanding! Foolish definitely still has to lie just because of his job lmao buttt, I think they can still come to an understanding without all the info he has.
anyways thats all folks, carry on!

ive been having difficulty with the rhetoric around the i/p conflict and the genocide that the israeli state is committing rn and its something ive been trying to work through but
like. i do the 'terrified rabbit freeze' whenever i see someone referring to zionism or zionists as a bad thing that needs to be destroyed. and thats not because the government of israel doesnt need destroyed. its because ive spent so long seeing zionist and zionism be a stand in for dirty Jew that thats where my mind immediately turns
and the other reason is that i have a relationship w zionism. a very very complicated relationship, but id be lying if i said it didnt exist. the historical kingdoms of Israel and Judea are the homeland of my people. despite the many expulsions, weve never totally left. i feel a connection to the sacred land of my very place-based religion, and the reason i still feel attached to zionism as a term is because its just the anglicized transliteration of ציון, the word weve used for thousands of years to refer to the holy land. im working on that, because my connection to a word doesnt get to outweigh the harm that word has done, but its gonna take time for me to sever the connection between zionism as is exists in the political landscape and zion(ism) as is exists within my religious and cultural tradition
but the thing is. the thing is. it makes me uncomfy when people refer to Palestinians as indigenous and the state of israel as a colonizer. both of these things are objectively true, but the way theyre often phrased reads as an attempt to reject the indigeneity of Jews to Judea and cast the israeli establishment as white european colonizing interlopers. and the thing about geopolitics is that its not as simple as white = european = colonizer = bad, wherein if the oppressor is one of those four, the oppressor is considered to be all of those four. the world is more complex than that and to deny the complexity because its easy is to do a great disservice to everyone involved, including the oppressed peoples. no one will get anywhere by telling the israeli government that its a bunch of white european colonizers, because its actually a bunch of israeli colonizers of debatable and varied ethnicity and indigeneity. to actually make any progress on anything you have to start with what the thing is, not what you want to to be or think it should look like.
and now is obviously not the time for me or anyone else to be nitpicking about the goyische understanding of the interplay between Jews and the land of Judea as a historical & physical concept and the state of israel and Palestinian liberation. its just that i see the rhetoric speaking about people as if they are their government and it scares me for all sorts of reasons, not least because of the trend towards moral purity thats basically people trying to figure out who they can be mean to while virtue signalling about it.
i dont have answers and i dont even have a point to this whole ramble. i guess its just to say that im working on my internalized biases and id really appreciate it if people could try to be accurate in talking about everything
i may or may not answer any well-intentioned questions that people have. im much more likely to talk about this with Jews (or obies tbh) but well see how much headspace i have

the worst part about the information-social media ecosystem rn is that we’ll have, like, people will support Thing. then you’ll have an anti-Thing market emerge. and then you have the anti-anti-Thing market. backlash to backlash, dust to dust.
the current thing with this is “wokeness”, a word I hate more than I hate ranch dressing. the problem with the anti-anti-woke guys is that they generally don’t acknowledge that socialists have been critiquing identity politics for decades before the first conservative ever uttered the word “woke”. and ignoring the criticisms of this from the left strikes me as not engaging with the skeptics’ strongest argument by pretending they don’t exist. I get that the socialists arguing this are generally smarter than Gary from Facebook, which makes them harder targets. either way. I just don’t like this very much. it’s shallow.
that preamble out of the way, I was watching YouTube video from someone on team anti-anti. I’m not sure why I keep doing this because I always get disappointed for the same reasons, but some may call it masochism and I dont appreciate being non-sexually kink shamed.
the person in the video brought up nerdy youtube film critics who were angry about the Star Wars sequel trilogy as a pet example, but I feel like this is a really weak point. the sequel trilogy is done now, and knowing how poorly it played out, we may have to admit that the bitter nerds who said that it starred a woman and two men of color as just a cyclical marketing decision might have seen something we did not. they did basically nothing with oscar isaac and john boyega which is so. imagine signing them to your movie and doing nothing with these amazing actors! felony! go to jail! at least boyega has the good sense to be openly critical of this. and as for rey, she doesn’t exactly have an arc.
I rewatched the force awakens for the first time in a long time in a while a few months ago and, now that we’re out of the cultural moment it was released in, it feels very different. very 2015 pilled in the sense that it aged like milk that's been sitting in the fridge for 8 years and has begun to cultivate bacteria that no microbiologist has ever observed. and i don't think the bitter nerds were wrong to interpret kylo ren as a strawmen of, well, people like them who don't want people messing with a franchise they have a lot of emotional investment in. and while you can write this off as them saying "we don't want women to enjoy star wars", observing that these movies are ultimately products, disney aspires to have a larger net worth than god, and not trusting where they're going with this... it's not entirely unfair, even though there are very real problems of racism and misogyny in nerd circles.
sometimes when we defend stuff from the angle that representation is good, we inadvertently forget that the "you can be a jedi too, little girl or black child of unspecified gender" thing is mostly done with the intention of consumer outreach because we're biased in favor of rep. the bitter nerds are not, and it gives them shinigami eyes. pandering is a bit more obvious when you're not the one being catered to. or something. i also don't think this is exclusively right wing, it's just that a lot of lefties are more reluctant to say something. if you phrase yourself incorrectly, it looks REALLY sketchy, even if you frame it through the "ultimately, these are products" lens, and sometimes it's best to just not comment.
i saw critical drinker, who's one of the more annoying of these youtube film critic types, on a podcast semi recently, and when he drops the anti-woke kayfabe, you just see a frustrated guy who writes screenplays as a hobby and doesn't like how many female-led stories skimp on developing conflict, or the disappearance of the mentor/student dynamic in storytelling and why this is doesn't bode well for franchise reboots that are meant to pass the torch, how unearned that feels. and even though i think his videos are cringey as shit, they're coming from a real place of caring about stories and being frustrated that the biggest purveyors of them don't seem to care back. i'm sympathetic to this, even if i think "wokeness" is an intellectually lazy copout and the preferred method of delivery makes me want to get my eardrum pierced.
iunno. i think, maybe, if you want to talk about these guys, it would make for a better story if you talked to them. or at the very least, try to understand what the substantive meat of their problem is as a fly on the wall. even if you ultimately decide that they're being irrational, "irrational" is not synonymous with "random". that's an important thing not to lose sight of. and while i do believe a lot of the anti-woke stuff is irrational, i do think it's worth trying to make a real effort to figure out what's going on underneath it all. but thinking too much gives you wrinkles, or whatever malibu stacey said. oh well!

so are you not actually pulling back on posting the arjuna hate posts? i'm just a bit confused bc you said that it was getting excessive and it would be moderated more, and then three more (the bhima ask ALSO was another excuse to shittalk people discussing arjuna rather than actually get into anything about him) asks that were hating his fanbase got posted after that.
there's been nine posts complaining about how much they hate his fans, how much they think hes screwed over karna, etc etc, very likely submitted by the same one/two people with a vendetta who are using this blog as a platform to try and harass others who don't interact with them. is spamming the blog with the exact same opinion over and over acceptable?
i just dont understand at what point it becomes too much, like if someone gets sick of it and begins to regularly submit asks over and over about the same subject (like how annoying karna fans are, and how they complain about nothing, and how karna's very existence screws over their fav) will those get posted and tagged also? even if it has nothing to do with karna but one or two of his fans? where is the line here?
i understand you want to post all kinds of asks here even if theyre controversial opinions, but this is very clearly someone trying to hold a dialogue where no one can actually hold them accountable because they can post all their thoughts through an anonymous confession blog. isnt there a difference between a one off 'i find x fan annoying bc of y' and sending in 9 asks in a month about it?
We re-examined and re-wrote the rules after the constant deluge of asks about Arjuna which have, thankfully, slowed down, and in fact several were deleted from the queue after Mod M and I agreed that they weren't within what we thought the parameters should now be. The asks that have been about Arjuna after that time (few as they've been) have fallen within these new parameters. Spamming the blog with the exact same opinion over and over will, now, likely get you a single post with the rest deleted unless you space them out over a considerable length of time (weeks, if not months).
If you want to complain about Karna or his fans, feel free, so long as it's within guidelines. The fact that we haven't really gotten any hate regarding him or his fans is quite shocking to me. I don't know what it is about Arjuna or his fans that brought forth all these submissions.
I have to say, I do take umbrage with the fact that you seem to assume this is only one or two people spamming the blog. Going under the likely assumption that you're a fan of Arjuna, thinking that only one or two people submitted those asks unfairly puts the onus on people within the fandom you may already be biased against. This is 99% anonymous. Neither you, nor I, know if this is one person submitting these asks, or if those 9 asks could have been sent by 9 different people. If you want to assume this is all one or two people, I can't stop you, but I think it's an extremely biased and unfair assumption to make. It's completely possible that just that many people within the Fate fandom dislike Arjuna and his fans.
I would like to nip this in the bud right now for you, and everybody else. Assuming you know who or how many people are sending the submissions, unless you are directly told by a person, is arrogant. You don't know, and neither do I.
As far as Arjuna hate goes, there is one post in the queue right now mentioning him, and while it is negative, I wouldn't say its negativity is directed toward him. If you want to send hate about Karna, go for it. I am not at all stopping you, just read the rules first.

The Death of Jason Todd is such a weird moment, and for me makes the birth of Tim kinda all the more special
basically the 1980s you see the birth of the adult comic fan, the late 1970s and early 80s sees comics geared at high school and college age guys, the X-men in 1975 for Marvel and the New Teen Titans in 1980 for DC.
Come 1986-87 you have the adult fans, and for Batman two works by Frank Miller, 1987's Batman: Year One and 1986's The Dark Knight Returns, both project a grim serious "for adults" NOT FOR KIDS! Batman who in both cases does not have a Robin (well DKR kinda does but we'll get there) most importantly DKR is presented as the future of DC comics as having taken place in the main timeline and were we're going. And Batman's shift to a darker more serious more adult character is set off by... the death of Jason Todd.
So you have a camp of comic fans, particularly Batman, fans who wanted to be taken seriously as adults and not have their thing their hobby characterized as "for children" you also have fans, who feel like there should have only ever been one Robin, Dick Grayson. Remember Grayson was a main character in the wildly hugely to this day biggest selling ever New Teen Titans. Till Crisis in 1986 Jason Todd had the same word for word origin story as Dick, he was also a Circus kid, his family was the "Flying Todds" who fell to their deaths. it's not till 1987, only about a year before his death he's given his own famous tire stealing origin story (and black hair...)
Any ways its unclear to this day if fans really did vote to kill him, since there's always been a rumor one person set up an automated system to repeat call the line to kill him, the final difference between kill and not was 72 votes.
However I think in so many ways that makes Tim special because the writers saw what the fans did, saw that neckbeard rotten comic fan boy rage about wanting their adult grown up grim gritty solo Batman and said "no you are wrong, Batman needs a Robin" it's not just Tim saying that to Bruce it's the creators saying it to the fans.
okay this is gonna sound a bit weird but bear with me anon, if u ever like, want to expand on this u should write a post and send me the link so i can rb it cause i think its such an interesting read and it opens up so many posible discussions and people wont be able to talk to u if ur an anon! people including me btw
that being said, it is interesting that the writers doubled down on tim after killing jason, knowing the writers hated jason! at least as far as i know, my sources are as unbiased as any dc fans so... probably biased
i think the person who originally wrote tim did indeed believe furiously that robin did not make the comic immature, he gave depth, but tim was always a... more serious robin, the quirky dialogue was cut a lot, imo, which im not complaining about, i do like the more serious batman tone, but its so fascinating to know why that shift probably came to happen
lastly i may be a dreamer but i chose to believe the poll was not manipulated, if only because of the fact that i would probably have voted to kill him off, and dont get me wrong, i love kid jason, but as a reader, wouldnt u wanna know what would happen, what it would do to bruce who was trying so hard? to dick who never trued as hard as he could? would there be another robin? how can u say no to that

Omg- Omg- I just found this acc and have been binge reading your twst masterlist
Ane ways if your accepting req could you do hc with Riddle,Ace & Duce duo (like together)Leona and Vil (also if its not too much can you also do the leech twins, Crowley and Crewel) with it a reader (gn) whose similar to Ayato like Mc? Like Mc verry charming, witty, playful, and mischievous but also caring, dutiful, kind and gentleman like? (the last ones leaning to male so you can remove it if you like) Oh and also he has those uh- portal like sleeves and they witness Mc pulling out like a fkn sword?
Hopefully this wont violate any rules if it does you can ignore! Dont overwork urself and make sure to take care!! !(•̀ᴗ•́)و̑
==============================================================
OKAY- FINALLY- AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-
IT'S BEEN TOO LONG- IM SO SORRY- ;-;;;;;;;;
Also I took A*e, Deuce and Tweels ^^
At first glance, you may seem distant and cold, having a disliking towards unnecessary small talk an constantly work and work and work, only being polite and well-mannered as formally as ever.
Truth to be told, those close to you would experience your tender kindness, inspiring loyalty to many you have touched.
You rather not show your face to the public often, preferring to do your tasks behind the scenes, and care for the people you hold close dearly.
Mature and determined, generous and polite, yet unforgiving when one harms the ones you love. Despite how formal you can be, you can be tricky and unpredictable, mischievous and cunning. Someone would have to keep an eye on you...
TWST The distant, yet kind, yet absolutely mischievous s/o (Ayato)
Ace Trappola
Oh god...
Ace sometimes can't stand how "noble-like" you behave. For someone who's too casual, talking to someone so formal...
Ace tries to approach to you with small talk, you politely, though quite bluntly refuse to converse with even a second with him.
What's the deal?
It seems like he can't even say a word with you other than homework, tasks and all the boring work he gets exhausted just talking about it.
For some reason, he still hasn't left. Maybe it's because sometimes you pull off harmless pranks on Deuce, other students, Grim and laugh about it. Or maybe when you've always helped him get out of all the troubles he has caused, maybe laughing a little of how silly he was for all the trivial ones he's been in.
Those are the times he enjoys being with you.
One time, you appeared out of nowhere after his basketball practice, even though he didn't tell you he was having practice. Slightly caught off guard, he asked what's up.
You only smiled mysteriously and charmingly, making your way to him as he lightly blushed by how close you were.
"W-what are you doing?" he frowned lightly, getting nothing in response as you only inched closer to his face.
W-what are they trying to do? Are they gonna do what I think they're gonna do?! A-Are we gonna -?!"
"It seems that Trappola has a little bit of his heart mark smudged."
He.. he forgot to wash it off before practice.
"Here's a towel for you, hm~" you smiled politely, handing him a red towel.
Sigh... so close... <3
Deuce Spade
Deuce is a little bashful by how formal you can get, and he doesn't really know how else to respond as formal as you.
All he really does is nod or shake his head and just try his best not to upset you or embarrass himself, although he mostly embarrasses himself by trying to make himself act as gentleman as he can.
But Deuce really adores your generosity you shower him without biasness and unlimited. You do that with people you're close with, and he's not going to lie, it makes him feel special.
He gets super flustered whenever you giggle at his attempts of being smooth in his formalities. He thinks back to when you used to refuse engaging in small talks with him. Maybe his silent persisting helped?
But sometimes he has to hold you back from doing anything mischievous, especially pulling pranks on delinquents.
He can't have you in trouble,
nor himself.
He especially needs to use four times the effort to pull both you and Ace back when you two combine your plans together. Although sometimes he can't help it and then all three of you get involved-
Sometimes he wonders just what is going on in your head. The way you approach him almost flirtatiously, leaving him baffled and flustered, wondering what you would do next.
You simply just said hello and turned away, going to your next class.
Gah... he really needs to keep his guard up with you... <3
Jade Leech
He's intrigued. He already could tell to your formal politeness when first meets the eye.
He doesn't see you often in Monstro Lounge, but when you're dragged by the Adeuce combo, he smiles politely and tries to start the ball rolling with you.
You simply decline, opting to tell him your order rather bluntly even with a polite tone as you smoothly dismiss him as if he was just a light mist.
Aren't you an interesting one?~
Jade simply can't wait to have you visit Monstro Lounge as he tries to engage in a conversation with you. Your unpredictable appearances whether forced to go or simply on your own accord has Jade thrilled and excited to see you.
You're quite a kind soul, and something about your kindness have Jade almost vulnerable.
Almost.
Your mischievous side is something he finds amusing. Pranking Azul, Floyd and almost everyone without discrimination, and sometimes you can hide that you're the true culprit behind all the fuss.
It's funny, and it makes his day.
Ah, how refreshing to see you so unpredictable in nature. Your charming smile fooling everyone, yet your kindness remains true and genuine.
Perhaps one day he could finally call you his... fufu~ <3
Floyd Leech
Although annoyed by how formal, boringly polite you get,
He can't help but want to know more about that... enigmatic aura you possess.
Something about your charming and polite smile seems playful and teasing, which makes him a little bit more interested in you.
Floyd tries to talk to you, give you a little friendly squeeze, but all you do is reject him! He doesn't care no matter how nice you act.
If you're not talking to him when he's trying to, that's the same as ignoring him, and you are!
So, he persists.
Eventually you just let him pester you, opting to sometimes pull off harmless pranks at him in response. He blinks when the whipped cream of Ace's latte smears his nose, as he flashes a toothy grin soon after.
From then onwards, you two pull pranks on others non-stop that Azul and Jade have to try and get you two to stop. But you guys didn't care
and just laughed about the ridiculous faces made by Azul when you pulled a prank on the octopus.
He very much enjoys this side of you!
Your rare appearances leaves him bored and upset now. You should go out more often! He rather have you appear out of nowhere in front of him and pull him to your dorm, just messing around and having fun crammed into your tight schedule.
He could enjoy these moments with you forever... <3

mate, you say that the government and the media lies yet you support israel. both of those things have historically supported israel, no? just saying, you have contradicting beliefs. also, have you taken a look at what soldiers for israel have posted—hell, what the isreali government themselves has posted?
side note: hamas wasnt even a thing when the occupation of palestine began. the nakba began in 1948. hamas was founded in 1987.
if you dont believe me, then dont. im not your mom. all i ask of you is to examine israel and its history more closely.
i'm really gonna try here to spell things out for you cause i think you probably didn't have a system around you growing up like me. which i am very grateful for now as an adult.
you say that the government and the media lies - they do. this has been proven again and again. however, both entities lie based on different factors with some overlap and me saying this has a point. depending on which factors a person releases information and how much proof or evidence they provide, you can make a logical decision to parse through it to decide if they are lying or not.
media/journalism is as biased as ever, whereas it used to be just them reading what has happened instead of giving opinions, because humans are naturally biased. which is why i don't trust right-wing media or left-wing media outlets or even self-proclaimed "neutral/unbiased" outlets.
yet you support israel. - i look through both for their versions on stories, find multiple sources, try to find the most credible from all sides and after that is done, i try to find as much actual evidence.
video footage is not hard to find in this day and age, for instance...
all of the body-cam, phone videos and security footage from Oct. 7ths of HAMAS killing Israelis -
https://www.hamasvideo.com/
https://www.hamasvideo.com/
https://theworldwatch.com/tags/hamas/
https://www.hamas-massacre.net/
that footage alone is enough to warrant self-defense, they took hostages, elderly, men, women and children. yet the international community stayed silent until Israel decided they weren't going to wait around for HAMAS to give them back. especially when they refused to give a list of the living or proof of life.
so instead, HAMAS and Palestine decided to become the victims when Israel decided no more. after STARTING this entire thing. you may say that it wasn't enough to cause what Israel is doing but what would have been? if someone walks into your home, massacres, rapes, mutilates and then kidnaps people you love, what would you do? Especially when the "government" (UN) is twiddling their thumbs, humming and hawing as they refuse to give any indication of remorse or that this wasn't a well thought out or planned thing or even any evidence that the hostages are ALIVE.
both of those things have historically supported israel, no? to be honest, i don't pay attention to what the actual news like FOX or CNN have been in support of, i only ever use them as resources for specific things as a last resort because of how biased they are. most young people in america also don't like mainstream news because it is overly biased.
sadly, they get their news from social media. which is full of misinformation, lies and just bullshit in general. so actually, social media is more pro-palestine in general.
America, as in the government, for the most part has always been pro-israel. even democrats, however, i'm unsure if they wouldn't stuck on this if they weren't shown uncensored and uncut footage of Oct. 7th.
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/dozens-senators-view-harrowing-video-hamas-attack-israel-rcna127010
i've been surprised at how firm even many hardcore democrat's like Elizabeth Warren have been on supporting Israel. personally, i think they should put it in theaters for those who are willing to stomach it. all pro-palestine should see it.
just saying, you have contradicting beliefs - no, you just don't understand that you can believe two negative or opposing things at the same time and both be true.
for instance, most people see any act of violence or wrong done by Israel and immediately jump to them being the bad guy. however, Israel can be the one in the right but not be the PERFECT country or entity.
in the same way Palestine can be a country filled with civilians who may or may not want to participate in the war HAMAS started but that does not mean Israel has to stop invading just because of them.
if we used that logic, the Allies during WWII, once they reached Germany, would have stopped invading because civilians.
also, have you taken a look at what soldiers for israel have posted—hell, what the isreali government themselves has posted? - Yes, i have, AGAIN, they should be held accountable for it after the war is over. but can i ask you, have you bothered to watch the oct. 7th videos? have you ever even read anything said by the HAMAS government? Here, have some.
Ismail Haniyeh in 2020: He explained that Hamas rejects ceasefire agreements by which, “Gaza would become Singapore,” preferring to remain at war with Israel until a Palestinian state is established from the River to the Sea: “We cannot, in exchange for money or projects, give up Palestine and our weapons. We will not give up the resistance... We will not recognize Israel, Palestine must stretch from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea.”
Hamas official, Hamad Al-Regeb in an April 2023 sermon: He prayed for “annihilation” and “paralysis” of the Jews whom he described as filthy animals: “[Allah] transformed them into filthy, ugly animals like apes and pigs because of the injustice and evil they had brought about.” Al-Regeb also prayed for the ability to “get to the necks of the Jews.”
Hamas Political Bureau Chairman Saleh Al-Arouri in an August 2023 interview:  He expressed Hamas’ desire for “total war” with Israel: “Therefore, we are convinced that if a total conflict begins, the airspace and seaports of this entity will be shut down, and they will not be able to live without electricity, water, and communications.”
Ahmad Abd Al-Hadi (Hamas representative in Lebanon) in an October 12, 2023 TV show laid out Hamas’ expectation that it would be Israel that would sue for peace and indicated that a ceasefire is part of Hamas’ overall strategy, but said that he was not at liberty to say what exactly Hamas has planned for the next step after a ceasefire. He also stated that October 7 had achieved its intended purpose of landing “a blow to the normalization (of relations between Israel and Arab countries).”
Hamas member, Ghazi Hamad on October 24, 2023: “Israel is a country that has no place on our land […] because it constitutes a security, military, and political catastrophe to the Arab and Islamic nation.” (October 24, 2023, LBC TV (Lebanon)). He also vowed to repeat the October 7 attacks “time and again until Israel is annihilated,” and expressing a desire to “sacrifice martyrs” (referring to Gazan civilians) for Hamas’ ideological aim of destroying Israel.
In a speech before the International Union of Muslim Scholars in Doha on January 9, 2024, Ismaeel Haniyeh, chairman of Hamas's political bureau, called the October 7 massacre the “advanced [battle] front of the Ummah.” Calling for “financial jihad” (donations to Hamas) and “jihad of the teeth” (physical jihad), he asked the international audience, “Who wishes to invest in building the jihadist generation to liberate Jerusalem and to unite the blood of the Ummah with the blood of the people of Gaza, Jerusalem, and Palestine on the land of Palestine for its liberation and the liberation of Jerusalem?”
Hamas senior leader Khaled Mashal stated on October 19, 2023 that he views the current loss of civilian life in Gaza – brought about by Hamas' strategy of using human shields – as essential: “No nation is liberated without sacrifices... In all wars, there are some civilian victims. We are not responsible for them.”
Hamas senior leader Ismail Haniyeh, commenting on the loss of civilian life in Gaza on October 26, 2023: “The blood of the women, children and elderly […] we are the ones who need this blood, so it awakens within us the revolutionary spirit.”
The HAMAS charter itself “Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it" (Preamble to Hamas Charter).
side note: hamas wasnt even a thing when the occupation of palestine began. the nakba began in 1948. hamas was founded in 1987.
You sweet sweet summer child. Yes, that is true. The Nakba wasn't the Jews, it was the UN/British. It was a two-state solution that all of you so desperately want to enforce now.
In 1947 the UN began a Partition Plan that recommended Palestine be divided into two states, one Arab and one Jewish. The Jewish leadership agreed, the Arab League and Palestinian leadership did not and so the conflict started.
HAMAS wasn't even the active government until 2006, they were instead, just a terrorist group run b y the founder Sheikh Ahmed Ismail Hassan Yassin who used his original work of founding a charity called Mujama' al-Islami to give covers to his operatives and create a logistical support network.
The secondary government in power at the time (2007) - Fatah, even raided the Islamic University in Gaza to find and confiscate weapons and ammunition stored there. Not long after, despite having played nice with Fatah until then, they kicked Fatah out and began their regime.
Ironically, Fatah had also been working with Israel on peace talks and a two-state solution before being kicked out. Wonder why HAMAS would want to kick them out so bad and also prevent them from ever being re-elected by just never holding elections again.
to be honest, i don't know why you even put this in here. as though it was some gotcha moment. it isn't.
if you dont believe me, then dont. im not your mom. all i ask of you is to examine israel and its history more closely. - I have done my research, I am firm and confident in where I stand. I am not ever going to try to say that Israel is perfect. No country or people is perfect. But you have not done nearly enough searching.
I genuinely hope you THINK, genuinely, ponder what I've said.

Just saw your post in the tag about the Vees being "irredeemable" and I'm curious as to why you feel that way. It's a pretty common sentiment so you have company, I just personally struggle to see the justification for it especially in a show where the main theme is that anyone can be redeemed/deserves a second chance (or at least that is Charlie's goal).
We know that 1.) Charlie wanted to spare Adam, an angel that had been committing a devastating genocide against her people for decades, 2.) Charlie tries to see the good in Alastor even though he's a psychopathic cannibal that she recognizes isn't completely on board with her goals (and actively participates in the oppressive soul ownership system) and 3.) Charlie forgave Vaggie who actively participated in the genocide against her people. I'd argue Angel Dust and Pentious are far more sympathetic characters (to both us, the audience, and Charlie herself) since we are told virtually nothing about their crimes that landed them in Hell and we meet them when they're both at their lowest.
While I understand everyone has their favorites and the show likely isn't interested in exploring its central theme too deeply, I do think it would be such a missed opportunity not to have Charlie confronted with the hypocrisy of offering salvation to some but not all - to stumble in her beliefs and be forced to claim some people are "irredeemable". What does that arbitrary determination criteria look like to her? How is she equipped to make those decisions?
And, if the criteria to get into Heaven, isn't to actually confront your past and current life but rather sacrifice yourself for others (based on Pentious and his ascension) then that's absolutely (in my opinion) something the Vees would be capable of. If Charlie can look past the crimes of Adam and Alastor and offer them grace then she should be capable of doing that for characters like Vox, Velvette, and even Valentino.
I personally think it would add a lot to Charlie's character if she had to actually stand firmly in her convictions that every sinner has the capacity to change OR for her to grapple with the fact she is biased and her ideology is inherently flawed.
But those are just my thoughts. Like I said, I see "the Vees are irredeemable" get echoed quite a bit but am always curious where it stems from. I think there are a lot of good arguments to be made, but the setting/core theme of the show really challenges them (for me anyway). I think a bigger issue you'd run into is certain characters not wanting redemption at all, but with some plot adjustment I think you could make it work since so many of the characters are still blank slates this early on. And I hope it goes without saying but I'm not excusing the actions of any of these characters, simply challenging the idea of who is really "irredeemable" in a show where every single person is bad and they are already in "Hell" facing judgment for their transgressions.
Always an interesting topic and hope you don't see it as an attack or anything.
I appreciate that you asked this in a nice way, people often get very upset over it. Vox is actually one of my favorite characters. And if any of the vees were to get redeemed I think it'd be him. He is desperate to love, he loved alastor and now chases Valentino. And if sacrifice truly is the way to get to heaven, I can't really see Valentino being the one to sacrifice himself. At least, not how he currently is. I don't know enough about velvette to make a correct assumption. And to be fair we don't truly know how vox feels about angel. He may have called him a wh*re because he was trying to relate and calm down Valentino in that moment.
The only reason I feel they can't be redeemed is because they have the same mindset alastor currently does:
1) redemption isn't possible
2) I dont want to go to heaven if it was

i currently watch 18 of the hermits and am constantly stuck between wanting to watch more hermits and knowing i should probably drop a couple before i get a job again. but also like... what if i watched more anyway....
im too behind atm to actually add another pov, and i need to catch up on the life series too but like... man what if i just did it anyway. whos gonna stop me? no one. thats who. i will feed my own hyperfixation and no one can get in my way!!!!
if i do end up adding a new pov who would you recommend? i currently dont watch Xisuma, stress, false, wels, hypno, jevin, joe and doc
i also dont watch xb, but i tried to and i just cant get past the texture pack (it upsets me that i cant)
i get you so much .. idk how i have technically two jobs (although they're very much part time) and am in school full time and still somehow manage to keep up with 26 different povs or. however many it is.
out of all the people you don't watch i'd probably recommend xisuma the most, i think his videos are super easy to watch even if you havent seen a lot of his content before. he has a great balance of building/redstone/interaction with the other hermits and his episodes are typically on the shorter side but he uploads regularly. i may be biased because i really really love his content but. i think he's great
also totally understand the issue w xb's texture pack lol, it's taken like 4 years of me watching him to adjust to it and i still don't like it buuut. i like his content enough to look past it... he's such a silly guy. although i do find that with quite a lot of his episodes i end up playing them in the background like a podcast rather than paying close attention to what's happening on screen. tbh if you watch keralis and beef you probably get quite a lot of xb content anyways so i wouldn't worry too much about missing out!!

I heard a while ago when I was baby army (I don't agree but I wasn't in a good mental place when I first heard it so....) that all Jungkook biases are the most gorgeous of them all and I was like "oh I can't be a jungkook bias 😔" and tried to move on with my life and now that I'm getting to a better mental spot it's like Jungkook who was hidden in my heart the whole time is peaking his head out and going "oh so we're finally admitting I've always lived here"
are you telling me that you stopped calling jeongguk your bias because of who stan he? i think i'm not the best person for you to sende this ask, because i feel like i cant not be honest with my thoughts and i can be too harsh. because for me i just cant accept when someone stops being who they want to be or stop liking what they like because of other people. have you ever stopped to think how you would survive if you always thought of other people first? you can never act like that. i can promise you that in bangtan and also as jeongguk biased we have all kinds of people. and this is one of the most amazing things about armys. we are from different countries, we speak different languages, we have different beauty, different music tastes, different fashion tastes, different weights and heights, so many different things that is one of the most amazing things we have in our fandom. its amazing that people different in every way loves bangtan. I can guarantee you that nothing makes you less stan than jeongguk because you think you're not as beautiful as the others. what is this beauty that you talk about so much? the beauty that you compare with that of others? but the truth is that we can NEVER compare anything about ourselves, much less our appearance with others people. thats one of the main reasons why you are like that. you need to stop compare yourself into others because theres no reason for you to do that. the other person is different and their beauty is different. you need to find your beauty, start finding your beauty, go to the mirror and instead of looking at what you dont like, start looking at what you like and start focusing on that. its not because someone is very beautiful in your opinion makes you ugly. beauty is something relative and different. what is beautiful in my country may not be in yours. what is beautiful for me may not be for you.
please never stop being you or liking something because of someone else. stop focusing on other people and focus on yourself. I know how hard its going to be but you have to do this. you cant put yourself in that place, you need to be the main character in your life and not the extra. because when you focus too much on others, you become an extra in your own life, in your own story and that cannot happen.
but I'm really glad you're already getting better about it. please, keep focusing on your mental health, ok? not for jeongguk or someone else, but for you. I'm sure your future self will be very grateful that you're focusing on improving your mental health. focus on loving yourself and starting to admire your beauty that i'm sure you have 🥺you just couldnt see it because of where you were mentally. please take care of yourself and dont be so hard on yourself. the world is already so hard so please treat yourself with kindness. i hope you have a great weekend ♡

honestly, one of my favourite things about the hoyo games is how they deal with immortality, im a sucker for immortal characters who dont enjoy being immortal and vise versa, yknow?
its why baizhu and yaoshi are so interesting to me, especially baizhu. most of the liyue story themes revolve around modernity vs. tradition and mortal life compared to the reclusive adepti, usually (im pretty sure its always?) siding with the former being better. so a character like baizhu, a mortal man desiring immortality is just so cool and i wished they gave enough of a shit to write him better (not that his writing is bad, especially compared to some other characters, but its very obvious the writers couldnt choose between a 'kind doctor' character or a more black jack-esque doctor who can cure anything but is pretty morally gray, especially the 'charging people a bizzare amount of money' thing)
one baizhu moment that i think about constantly is from his story quest where xiao tells him "immortality may not be the blessing that you imagine it to be." and i just wish hoyo could expand on that. like imagine wanting immortality more than anything and then basically being told by an ancient being "its not my buisness but please dont its awful."
(also yeah genshin's worldbuilding sucks so bad lmao, i've played through all of the main story and read alot about the lore and i still barely know What is even going on)
NO IT'S REALLY ONE OF THE COOLEST THINGS!!!!! hyv writing is kind of questionable most of the time but i think they did well in their handling of immortality. it's really fascinating to me.
baizhu wants to attain immortality so bad, to save others, to save changsheng, and maybe to save himself (just throwing that last one on there for fun tbh i think he's way more worried about others; the other potential victims of changsheng's contract if he does not end it asap, changsheng herself, etc). i wonder what he must've felt when xiao outright told him "immortality may not be all that you think it is" LIKE???? this ancient being told you not to do it. but he'll continue doing it anyway. a man who is blinded by his ambition. hmm. and yeah i do agree! but i also hope this particular trait of baizhu's was done for a reason, not just bc the writers couldn't pick between tropes. baizhu was written impressively well compared to some others, so i HOPE it really is there for a reason.
(GLAD I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE BECAUSE I SWEARRR SOMETIMES I HAVE NO CLUE WTF IS GOING ON)
but to add my own little commentary regarding yaoshi bc i never stfu about them: yaoshi is so fascinating to me for so many reasons.
do they know about the consequences of their blessings? if so, did they warn the alliance's ancestors, and did those people just not listen? or... did they not say anything? if so, why? OR do they just not know?
(either way i think the xianzhou's explanation of their history is bullshit. girl why did you all go LOOK FOR THEM and ASK FOR IMMORTALITY and then get mad when they did what you asked....... smh. This is why we can't have good things [<- is biased])
to add onto that last point, are they so all-consumed by abundance that they cannot see beyond their path and cannot even perceive the harm their actions cause? it would be such a fascinating idea, because this would also explain why lan is SOOOO obsessed with them (just say you want to kiss them bro it's ok 😒 /J); if the "aeons are all-consumed by their path" is true, then lan literally cannot do anything BUT hunt yaoshi down. the trailblaze can do nothing but trailblaze, which would explain why they disappeared. They Trailblazed Too Far. but if this were true, then what would this mean for aeons like long?
OR. is yaoshi simply an amoral eldritch being, whose motivations and thought processes cannot be comprehended by mortals? adding to this point, why the fuck does the xianzhou alliance "categorize" the aeons GIRL THEY ARE ELDRITCH DEITIES NONE OF THOSE MFS ARE "GOOD" OR "EVIL" ❗️❗️❗️❗️
