Bishova is such a funny ship name imo, 'cause "fag" in portuguese is "bicha" so whenever I read "bishova" inside my head, it reminds me of "bichona" (aka "big fag" in portuguese) lmaooo

Anyways. Pls feel free to share some of your bishova headcanons (even though I don't even go here lol). I kinda see the ~vision~ from that one scene w/ them that I saw (yeah, I'm gay and weak, sue me)

I HATE the ship name soooo much lmao I was on the ground floor of the ship (Like, pre-hawkeye, using their interactions in the Thompson BW run for inspo) and I was gunning for it to be Katelena but I was 100% outvoted.

I'm gonna give you a couple SFW ones and then a couple NSFW ones because I WILL make you a Marvel girlie if it takes the rest of our tumblr lives

Yelena has some food issues (food insecurity/aversions, trouble acknowledging her fullness cues) and Kate is the one who helps her figure out how to treat those. One thing they do is that when they go out to eat, Kate boxes up half of Yelena's entree for her when it comes to the table so Yelena doesn't eat herself sick.

They're both neurodivergent-Yelena was an excellent assassin but in the MCU there's little to no suggestion that she ever did honeypot missions and I think it's because her social cues aren't great. Kate absolutely has hyperactive ADHD.

I think Yelena enjoys being read aloud to. She finds it soothing. Kate will read news articles and books and shit out loud to Yelena with Yelena's head in her lap.

They are both obviously dog people but Yelena is *obsessed* with Bucky's cat Alpine and will wander around with Alpine tucked in her hoodie. Alpine does not like Kate. Kate will MAKE Alpine like her if it's the last thing she does.

Antonia Dreykov is not much of a Kate fan at first. She finds Kate soft, loud, overly dramatic, and painfully naive. Then Yelena almost dies on Antonia's watch, and Kate steps up in a very serious, real way. That wins Antonia over to the Kate side.

Yelena's the bottom. I love bottom Yelena. She's a spoiled, bratty sugar baby pillow princess and Kate is OBSESSED with the power trip it gives her to see Yelena like that.

Tbh I'm not into asexual Yelena and less and less inclined to even discuss it but I DO think Yelena has hangups and triggers around sex. The girls take the physical intimacy part of their relationship at a GLACIAL pace, and there are times where something Kate says or does ends in a meltdown or panic attack for Yelena. It makes Kate feel very guilty. Yelena makes jokes about it, which does not provide the levity that she THINKS they do.

Kate doesn't really like to wear pants much, especially in their room/their own apartment once Yelena is secure enough to live with just Kate (I think for a while Yelena lives with Bucky and thus Sam, and Kate ends up there too-Yelena gets anxious alone and needs to learn to person). Yelena regularly grabs her ass and squeezes before BOLTING to trick Kate into chasing her and throwing her on the bed.

So, fun fact. Two of my ships – (MCU) Bishova and Wenclair – have one of the two characters headcanon-ed as aroace by many people – Yelena and Wednesday respectively (funnily enough, the one with serial killer vibes).

However, I'm yet to see someone who headcanons Wednesday as aroace being a bitch about the fact she's shipped with other characters. Unlike it being one of the first things I've sene about Yelena.

So far, Wednesday's fans are better at understanding a headcanon isn't canon than MCU fans are. I'm not surprised tho.

my opinions on bishova

i know people don’t care to hear my opinions, but i needed to put this out somewhere and twitter is carnage. it’s like sending death threats to yourself every time you tweet. anyhow, i would just like to express my disbelief at people’s chosen ignorance. the creator of yelena’s character has clearly said before that yelena’s sexuality in the comics is unconfirmed. and that is only the comics. as proven many times by the mcu, the comics are not the same as the movies. people are analysing every small detail and claiming that yelena is aroace in canon, when nothing has been confirmed by any of the directors, writers or producers. don’t get me wrong, feel free to headcanon anyone by what ever sexuality or gender pleases you, i have no objection to that whatsoever. i am a member of the lgbtq community. but people being rude and shutting down other’s opinions on something that isn’t even confirmed? nah, that’s just not it. 

moving on to that one comic panel, where yelena says “no, im not anything” or something along the lines of that. given the context of how yelena grew up, this could refer to how she feels empty inside. to be honest, when i read that panel, instead of taking aroace from that i took unlabelled, because i just related to it so much and i don’t identify as anything, per say. however, that is just my headcanon, as her sexuality isn’t confirmed in canon. 

anyways, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but hurting others for something that isn’t confirmed in canon is wrong, and people need to realise that. sure, having aroace representation in marvel would be amazing, but so would it be to have any lgbt representation. i am not trying to erase aroace identity at all. i’m just saying, don’t attack others for something that isn’t confirmed in canon, it isn’t nice.

Do you have a headcanon on how bishova realising they have feelings for the other?

So this escalated fast

Yelena realises it first, because Red Room attraction training, and Kate Bishop is breathtaking, but denies herself anything to do with it, because how could she be so careless to form an attachment to someone? She had gone this long alone, there was no reason to fall for the trap of romance.

Besides, Kate had so much more experience, she's sure of it (and she doesn't want to admit that the idea of embarrassing herself is intimidating)

Kate on the other hand finds Yelena hot immediately but doesn't think there's a snowballs chance in hell that she'll feel the same (because she'sYelena Belova) so keeps it to herself, doing her best not to get excited when she texts at random times, invites herself over, sends postcards from whatever country she is in at any given moment, calls her "Kate Bishop" which yeah, okay it's her name but it is different when Yelena says it. Like there's more there, lingering in the glances when she thinks Kate isn't looking and the touches when Yelena initiates contact

There's no hope and she has to accept that even if it sucks

But then Yelena comes back home one day (she is unsure when she has started calling Kate Bishop's apartment home) and the woman isn't there. So she reacts totally normal and looks for her, finding her in a bar, being flirted with, and hearing her laughter because of someone else makes her feel sick and FINALLY tips the scales. She admits it at Natasha's grave that the risk of making a fool of herself is worth it if there's a chance of being with a person who has (somehow) become the safest place in the world to her.

Kate has no idea how she managed to convince Yelena she is worth her time, and Yelena makes sure Kate realises her own worth every day

(Yelena is also totally inexperienced with romance and 'stuff' because Red Room, so she makes mistakes, fumbles a lot, but Kate is patient as hell with this (with her (because she's Yelena ((and Kate would punch the sun for her)))

And then Natasha magically returns because this is my soap box and I chose the delusions

Yelena Belova is aroace. She feels no sexual and romantic attraction and has no interest in neither of those.

Shipping her romantically and implying a romance with her character is extremely harmful to our community, it's a reject of our representation (which is already too rare) and ignoring her orientation is aphobia.

I shouldn't dignify this with an answer, but you're the one that came to my blog to say nonsense.

I HC Yelena Belova from the MCU as someone who is interested in Kate Bishop. I will continue to ship her with whomever I please. If you want to call me aphobic you can do it, but let me tell you that going to other people's blogs to police their thoughts and interests will not gain you any sympathy. If you had to give your favorite cuddling headcanons for bishova, what would they be? Whos the big spoon? Whose lap is the designated seat during movie night? Who likes to listen to the other's heartbeat more?

aww!! Gosh. My instinctive response is to say that Yelena would prefer being the big spoon, and while she doesn't like sitting on laps, she would definitely like putting a pillow on Kate's and resting her head there while they watched TV & having Kate stroke her hair.

And while she's not really small spoon person, she does like it when Kate is lying on her back and Yelena can cuddle up to her & sort of rest her head on Kate's chest, listening to her heartbeat
