the batboys playing jenga except dick and tim treat it like an olympic event and are SO serious about the game. one of them will be pulling a piece and jason will start talking and has to be shushed violently.

damian's typically the first eliminated and sits to the side being pissy about it until he gets bored and walks off.

jason's like, really bad at it, and gets angry about it too. he only joins in for the opportunity to shake the table when it gets close to endgame and gaslight tim or dick into just thinking they lost.

dear jason:

my first and main universe. dick and jason do NOT have a good relationship, but it’s gotten a smidge better than when jason was actively trying to murder dick. this is probably the universe closest to the canon one.

basement playdate:

the kids are actual kids who play pretend superheroes while bruce and ollie are pta moms who gossip upstairs

big brother:

kind of a split off from my ‘dear jason’ universe. bruce found jason earlier and it set off a chain reaction that leaves them here.

currently, dick and jason live alone in the manor and dick is living a single dadbrother life. no friends, no capes (for reasons i will discuss later)

still more wholesome than dear jason and mainly focuses on domestic life, even tho bad things have happened.

Just a good ol classic gathering of familiar fairytale friends! The Mad hatter, The March Scare, The Dorrat and Jabberwocky!- actually .. that doesn’t sound right...

I can’t believe I finally finished this thing after FIVE MONTHS.

It was just supposed to be a simple Mad Hatter expression sheet with comic style elements, and you can see that it didn’t stay that way. I went a little crazy with ideas and I have no regrets!

Its also safe to assume that I have officially fallen down the Mad Hatter rabbit hole, and I love drawing this lil weirdo.

And I don’t know why but Scarecrow looks VERY good in a bunny mask, and its probably one of my favorite parts about this piece  C:

i've come to the conclusion that the overall batboys dynamic during games night (which 100% happens on a weekly basis), is:

dick: is actually just trying to play the game 90% of the time, especially with skill games. if it's a chance game he'll usually have a less serious approach to it. all for screwing with jason and purposely annoying him when it comes to games like monopoly etc. definitely 'the one to beat' out of the boys, partially because he's the oldest, but also because he's just. impossible to break in a game.

jason: is THE victim of games night. can never catch a break. he's not overly good at any kind of game, whether it be skill or chance. he's prone to getting super frustrated when he gets in jail in monopoly, +4's in uno etc. his only consolation is that he's usually not last, damian is. doesn't take the ordeal very seriously and enjoys doing some shit-starting of his own, especially when it involves jeopardising dick or tim's 'perfect play'. he's the one player that takes half the game to get one of his pieces on the board in pop-a-matic.

tim: puts all his effort into beating dick, rarely does though. plays seriously most of the time. is the designated dictionary holder in scrabble, dealer in monopoly etc. he's usually very fair, and only causes trouble if everyone else is in on it or it's a 'thrown' game. tries to make chance games more logical than they really are, the other boys will get annoyed if he starts taking to long on his turn because he's trying to calculate odds in his head.

damian: always last. he tries his best, he really does, but he's too much younger than the other boys to even come close. he takes the game pretty seriously, and is determined to be on par with the other boys. gets a bit upset when he inevitably loses. always has a new 'plan' to win the next games night, that he won't tell anyone. is happy to sit on the sidelines and spectate the more complicated games that he doesn't really understand. is happy when bruce joins in a game because he's more likely than any of the boys to have sympathy for him + let him off easy.
