Do Y’all Ever Wonder What Happened to Zach’s Season 1 Trench Coat/ Winter Wear?

Because we went from this glorious masterpiece:

Which totally gives us Zach lovers life, am I right?

To this:

Which I’m not saying is bad, I still think he looks great in the new winter look, but we literally went from him having a handsome, billionaire playboy vibe to looking like a vampire in a marshmallow suit.

We can probably chalk it up to the animators using the winter wear in the pilot episode and reusing it a couple episodes later, then they scraped it in later seasons because the new look is honestly more “Zach,” meaning (in my opinion) it’s got the same quirky vibes we get from him.

And it’s much warmer, which seem fitting for him because he’s probably a cold natured person….I mean he wears a turtleneck sweater all the time…the man’s gotta have some temperature issues because of that, right?

Or, they knew how it affected the Zach lovers, so they thought it would be best to get a more “tame” winter look for him. Because they can’t have us drooling too much over the bad guy…

Or, and this is my favorite option…my OC/ self insert Violet stole it and started wearing it after Zach loaned it to her when she first started working for him, which canonically would have taken place around the Falcon City episode, well after the last appearance of the beloved trench coat.

But this is just me guessing, I may be wrong…if y’all have any other ideas as to why this change occurred, please let me know!

I don’t know how to explain this, but do yall ever avoid watching a show or interview with one of your faves because it’s like almost anxiety inducing or will make you sad(?)

like for example I want to watch The New Adventures of Old Christine so bad, or watch those compilations of Johnny’s voice lines, etc. but I can’t make myself do it because it makes me so nervous. Someone please tell me if I’m being actually delusional and insane.

I love the little details on Maria’s outfit so much! Her lumenflower brooch and those little flower chains around her neck!

I also love how long her hair actually is! Imagine how pretty it would have been when she wore it down? With those curls? (It reaches just below her shoulder blades!)

And the ribbon!

Also the pretty embroidery on her coat!

It looks the same as the designs on Rakuyo, honestly.

And I love how it looks like Rakuyo is held together by a curving branch. Suits the name, which means “fallen leaf.”

Maria was just so damn elegant and you can see how much her garb looks like the male/female Cainhurst knight. I love the duality, and how she wears such a blend of traditionally masculine and feminine clothing elements. It furthers my theory that Maria’s entire character is a schism. She’s a balance between character traits like no one else. I love it.
