Sliver of Heaven

Many wonder what hell feels like

Let me be the one to describe it

It is feeling like you are about to get a full breath of air

Yet suddenly being pulled under

Fighting, and finally making it up to the surface

And with lungs full of air, still suffocating

Suffocating on the reality of life

Hell is missing the feeling of love,

Then miraculously finding it yet having it fall through your outstretched palms

It is grasping at it

And collecting it in pieces covered in mud, almost unrecognizable

Gluing it desperately back together and staring at it

Admiring from a distance and fearing to ever touch it

Hell is love whispering to you  to take it

But you are holding a mountain made of glass

And if you were to let go, it would shatter everything around

So you grit your teeth together and grasp on

Hell is always pushing through

Despite the tear soaked pillows at midnight or 3am

It is not wanting to wake up, yet waking day after day 

It is feeling everything so acutely

It is battling fear every day and having no one who understands

It is living while being dead

Hell is letting your tears fall while you smile

Praying, hoping that somehow, someone will help lift the weight,

That somehow that mountain of glass will diminish

All the while knowing that it’s just wishful thinking

And so, slowly you begin to grow wings

Spreading them far and wide

Gathering wind, gathering courage

To make them shift the sands of time

Until you shut your eyes letting all go

Allowing the pieces to fall where they fall

Holding your eyes shut tightly

Opening slowly and begging for a sliver of heaven

GATHERING ENERGY

There was that blessed sense of mind expansion while meditating last night. It has been there for no more than 5 sessions now. There is a lightness of attention right from the word go in these recent sessions. In all meditations, prior to the recent few, I have at best chanced on such lightness.

Lightness of attention is due to attention placed in a suitably deep part of mind. Where the mind is spacious, the clutter of thoughts to manoeuvre around is missing. Attention can afford to go lightly in the truly deep mind spaces. My hold on my attention isn’t just gentle anymore. It is hanging by a thread. It is a blessing to be meditating so deeply.

I was right about anticipating more spine work. I wrote about it. A few blog entries back, I have mentioned that my head is in seeming need of greater gathering of life forces, before it receives any energy. My spine needs to gather more energy! As if all the trembling for two years hasn’t been enough, there is more required!

Last night’s trembles turned strong. After they turned strong, the trembles wouldn’t go back to mild unless I paused meditating. The point on the spine where the force to tremble seemed to come from, was not the neck! It was in the middle of the back and some of the upper back.

If blessed life energies choose to be in my heart rather than my head, I would totally understand. My heart hasn’t exactly found full expression through the head, like ever.

For years before I was blessed with a stirred Kundalini, I have lived with disharmony. For two years of a stirred Kundalini, I have lived disharmoniously. In fact, even now I don’t see any reason for me to stop making affirmations for harmony at the end of each meditation session.

The amount of energy held in every ounce Kundalini isn’t small at all. And to now be experiencing a gathering of such energies, isn’t funny. This is serious happiness we are talking about. I wish it was appropriate for me to tell every person I meet today, ‘You my friend, are a gatherer of blessed energy!’
