🍓 STRAWBERRY - do they eat their fruit & veg? what is their favourite fruit or vegetable?

Growing up, Anika was picky about the fruits and veggies she’d eat, either they weren’t prepared well or at that time, they got her sick so she was nervous of having them again, but she can now eat pretty much every vegetable except for bitter gourd. That shit’s nasty. And raw tomatoes.

Favorite fruit(s): Mango, specially Alphonso Mango, Coconut, and Strawberry

🌹 ROSE - do they like valentines day? have they been confessed to before? have they confessed to anyone before?

As commitment-phobic as she is, Anika is always a fan of Valentine's Day.. she loves seeing couples being in love with each other and spending time. She was confessed to before by her previous Indian boyfriends during Valentine's Day (one when she was in middle school and one after Kakyoin during her PhD), but both of them were douchebags to her. With Kakyoin, the confession was mutual. However, the only person she's ever confessed to, was Jotaro.

📖 OPEN BOOK - do they like reading? what's their favourite genre?

Anika loves to read. It was how she was able to cope with her apraxia and her inability to speak for a while. TLDR: Anika had apraxia of speech and this made her unable to speak well until she was 6, so was a victim of bullying. She could even read the old newspapers that were being used for selling food on the street.

Her hunger and thirst for knowledge grew while she read different encyclopedias, some of them involving space. She’s a big fan of Shakespearean works, The Merchant of Venice being close to her heart. She even would read anthologies of English, Hindi and Urdu poems from writers like William Wordsworth, Rudyard Kipling, Premchand, Ghalib, and so on.

She’s a big fan of the Hunger Games book series when it was released in 2008 as she could relate to Katniss Everdeen. She likes the Harry Potter series too, but not as much as Karan who’s a big time Potterhead. She loves the works of Agatha Christie, Jeffrey Archer and Sidney Sheldon, and when she does start reading manga, she starts with InuYasha and Pink Dark Boy which is how Rohan and Anika befriend. 💖

As the prefect throw the bouquet in the air to have a dramatic departure from the cafeteria, she failed to calculate the direction of her toss, and she had to stop in the middle of her walk when she realized the flowers landed in an inconvenient place.

On Trey’s head, to be more exact.

(Y/n) rushed to the vicehousewarden, gently removing the bouquet from his head, an embarrassed expression on her face, as Trey chuckled at her behavior.

“Sorry! I didn’t mean to throw it at you, are you alright?”

“Of course, don’t worry. At least you didn’t toss it with too much strength.”

“Hey! I threw it with all my energy! Are you calling me weak?”

“Uh? So, you intended to hit me mercilessly with it then?”

“I never said that.” The prefect playfully smacked Trey’s shoulder, making him laugh again, as he stared fondly at the Ramshackle student.

“But I wonder what might this insinuate? Don’t you think it could be a hint or something?” He smiled, the wedding bouquet now resting in his hands.

The next day after the ghost incident, the Ramshackle first-year walked towards the Heartslabyul Dorm to visit her friends, just to make sure they were doing okay after the events of the previous day.

On her way there, she checked Magicam on her phone, scrolling through different posts, most of them from Cater, as he was always the most active out of everyone.

But a certain picture caught her attention, while she walked through the magic mirror. A selfie of Cater, holding her bouquet as he winked at the camera, with a bunch of hashtags on the caption.

"I see you're looking at my pics, (Y/n)! They're fabulous, right?" The third-year student suddenly appeared next to her, it seemed like he just finished painting the roses. "But it's been such a long we’ve uploaded a picture together! I have the #perfect accessory, come with me~”

Once they arrived at his room, he quickly showed the prefect her own flower bouquet, which she used for the proposal the day before.

“This will look great, say cheese (Y/n)!”.

“Ah, hello Ortho.” The prefect greeted, smiling at him. “I actually throw it because of the traditional toss of the weddings, but thanks either way.” She received the flowers, two small papers attached to the flowers. 

‘thx for ur help yesterday. very nice of you ig.’ Was written on one of the notes, the prefect easily recognizing Idia’s handwriting. The other piece of paper was a discount coupon for the videogames store in the city. 

“What tradition?” 

“Well, the bride has to toss the bouquet at the guests, and the one who catches it, it’s supposed to get married next.” (Y/n) explained, confused at the now excited look on Ortho’s face.

“My brother was who caught it!” 

“Really? That’s cool.”

“But it’s probably going to be difficult. He doesn’t interact with a lot of people, you know?”

“Don’t say that! There’s gotta be someone that wants to be with Idia, he’s nice once you get to know him, after all.”

“I guess that leaves you as the only option, perhaps you’d be interested on helping my brother to follow the tradition…?”

so there are a few big chunks of story so far, fortunately one of my special interests is taxonomy and i have a fetish for project management [1].

basically two main eras:

- a youngish high school + summer camp setting [late teens/twenties]. most of the aesthetics here are from that part of the setting, which has a lot of ~magical stuff beyond the heart of camp.

and! an undead hospital drama, including Nurse Jim from the camp health centre.

most of the events concerning the aesthetics described in this paper [I'll lean into it, eh] take place at the summer camp through Nurse Jim's adventures leading camping trips with Mick.[5]

Not to psychoanalyze Pond from across an ocean..but am going to.

I think the biggest issue is that while Mile and Apo have taken their meteoric rise in game with grace and humility...that hasn't been the same for Pond. KP is a massive success in part due to Pond's work on the project and while he has seen a massive pay raise he hasn't received the level of adoration and opportunities that Mile and Apo but he thinks he is due. Especially in the entertainment and fashion industry which he was never entrench in as much as he is now they talk everyone up and I think Mile and Apo have enough experience to not believe all of it but he has started to believe his own hype (a young successful CEO who isn't considered conventionally unattractive). 

Why would he as a CEO think he is due the same sort of success as his artists? I think this also touch on the weird relationship between Mile and Pond where since they were friends before beginning a professional partnership views Mile and himself as more friends and being on the same level/boat, while he views Apo as his artist. From the outside this looks really weird because sometimes he says stuff and does things that seem rude or disrespectful to Mile for how a CEO should behave with their artist (I also think they was a period he really was a jealous toward Mile for his popularity last year which to him seems unfair because they BOTH started the BOC project together and BOTH put in money and BOTH did the work for marketing and sponsorship deals) but to him Mile got a much greater share of the fame/success than him (tbf he seems to have gotten over this a bit now). He views Mile as part of BOC/friend 

While Apo he considers to be an artist under BOC which is why you will hear him talk alot more about Apo's acting in comparison to Mile and(probably unconsciously) promoto's Apo just a smidgen bit more on his IG and talks about making Apo a more well rounded person. 

From what we little we've seen of the actual industry events I think Mile, Apo and Pond work as a good team to balance each other out. Mile tends to lean a bit too heavily on the business side while Apo is the talent/specialist and I think Pond is that everyman personable figure in that room who's presence really makes Mile and Apo comfortable enough to make their personalities shine and not to take every meeting and event too seriously. (I think Mile and Apo both realize now that when left on their own they can both get too serious around each other and need to also work to be the balance for each other to keep things fun and light)

I do think his talents lie more behind the camera than in front of it and wish he would let someone else take the reign for the actual company management. 

Congratulations if you have made it this far! I did not mean to unload a whole essay on you and this was mostly just me sharing my thoughts with you. This got away from me for a bit and you don't need to post this monstrous essay.

I have a lot of cristism about Pond (like the whole B situation) but I also think there is a massive blind spot for him both in the fandom and in the company for his actions because he is both CEO and friend.

he used to go to BBB events as the second anon in the series said, but not after January I believe for Bible's solo events.

He also posted mileapo photos from their Seoul trip this year (hashtag gay cowboys) but since mileapo were both in the photos and Pond wasn't in Seoul someone (probably Gift) also had to have taken them and sent them to him. The whole strategy here is... bizarre. messy.

actors are not responsible for the funding and development, but they are responsible for getting themselves into projects. someone mentioned Perth not exclusively being signed (he's done some projects in Japan this year) and I'm wondering if BOC has implemented an exclusivity/noncompete contract like some other production companies have. For example, Channel 3 has these exclusivity contracts for their actors which is why Apo was so excited to be promoting on different channels for Man Suang.

if that is the baseline assumption, Pond should be making it clear to his talent cause the way he has been framing it is that he would be taking care of them like family. even aside from the ick factor for a lot of people, including me about work = family, he even if he is sincere about that, where is he carving out time to do that when he's following MA around to their events?

im glad we have so many handsome photos of Mile that the loss of one is not the worst heartbreak we can face 😔

I am also a noob artist and opened comms recently, but I haven't gotten any yet haha do you have any advice and tips for me to help gain an audience and commissioners? Hello again! Yes, I remember gosh thank you so much for enjoying my art! Also I'm always super happy to answer art stuff since I'm in love with it, but I will open with a disclaimer specifically for the growing audience bit cause for a long time I've primarily been an OC / original art artist and it wasn't till I became cripplingly obsessed with estimeric that I grew some semblance of a following so I'm a pretty small artist by most standards ;;; With that said, here are my tips and advice which I'll separate into 2 parts

Putting this under a read more cause it's LONG

Commissions (mostly about expectations, best practices, and organisation to make it easy on clients)

Have some kind of commission page (here's mine for example) to make it easy for your clients to be able to reference something and for you to direct new inquiries to. This can be anything from a website/carrd to even just a google doc/tumblr pg. Will there be clients who never read this? Absolutely. BUT it's also great for clients who are shy and/or who like coming prepared

Have a Terms of Service section!! In our current day and age of tech bros and assholes trying to exploit and scam creatives I cannot express enough how just having a TOS will deter these ppl! It shows you're serious and that you know what you're about, making you less of a target!

MOST IMPORTANT! Be kind to yourself!!! Opening commissions is exciting due to the prospect of making money from something you love and it can be very disappointing and demoralising when you don't get any! It's also a very "feast or famine" type of roller coaster, so don't feel bad if you don't get any, even super large artists struggle!

Building a following (from someone who's doesn't actually prioritise this so take it as you will!)

You've probably heard this before but fanart is definitely better at drawing a crowd than original art so I feel obligated to mention it. (I'm a pretty classic case study of this imo lol) And the reason for this is that there's already an established audience out there that loves the content you're making unlike original art where you're starting from ground zero. Does that mean you should give up making original art if you want followers? ABSOLUTELY NOT! And honestly most of my advise will be from the perspective of growing an audience via original art because you can apply the same principles to fanart so here we go!

Consistency is key. Being a constant presence on your existing followers' feed means having consistent chances for them to share/engage with a piece of your artwork, which means more chances for new eyes to see them which means more chances for followers etc etc. But what's the pace? Well that depends on how brutal you're interested in being with yourself unfortunately....if you die hard want to grow as fast as possible then once a day (i've seen some artist do more;;;) but it's something I would NOT recommend for all sorts of risks. (you can mitigate the risk ofc but that's like a whole thing in itself) I'd advice you to figure out a pace that works for you so that you maintain a healthy relationship with your art

Join events/zines/bandwagons. Whether it's things like drawtober, ffxiv art parties, or zines, engaging with community/communal activities (especially those with hashtags/promos) can help you engage with people who might not have found you otherwise. If you're a social person it's a great chance for you to make friends who have similar interests too! Making art related to a piece of media that just came out is also great way of engagement since people are probably looking for it (for example spidersonas or dressing OCs in outfits to watch the barbie movie)

Make it easy to find your art when someone visits your page. It doesn't necessarily have to be a full portfolio, but giving viewers a place to see only your art posts is crucial imo. Tumblr is great since it's tagging system is fantastic making this part easy but places like Twitter for example only have a single media tab; so making a thread for art post or keeping your media tab clean is ideal. (you've no idea have many artists i've chosen not to follow cause their media tab is 1 awesome piece of art then just 500 cursed memes/reaction images lol)

HARDEST BUT MOST IMPORTANT POINT! Make compelling art. I follow artists who post a piece of art maybe once every....I dunno 3 months if even that, but when they do they get thousands of notes, why? Because it is a compelling piece of art. Something that touches the heart or makes you gasp in awe or swoon from it's vision or die laughing. And this is the hardest point because what that looks like is completely unique to you. Basically it is your answer to the question of "Why do I make art?" which artists everywhere all around the world, regardless of genre or industry, are trying to answer themselves. The one thing you MUST REMEMBER while you try to figure this point out is that it must involve Love. That means loving the journey; the grueling failures, steep learning curves, and all, because if even you don't love what you're trying to create other won't either. And that's not to say you have to be happy about a piece of art not turning out right (I still cry from frustration myself all the time) but it does mean be kind to yourself when you fall so you can pick yourself up easier when you stand again

THAT WAS SUPER LONG WOW! With all that said tho those 1st 2 points for growing an audience is what I would recommend focusing on! The internet is all about engagement and you can't have that if there's nothing to engage with! Also because it just bears mentioning that sometimes it is just a skill thing and you just have to get better at drawing BUT that is not to say skillful=complex! Nonono take a look at webtoons like "My Giant Nerd Boyfriend" by fishball or "Sarah's Scribbles" by Sarah Andersen. Or illustrator's like loonpflug or mmeiccaa. It's not complex but it's some FKIN GOOD ART!

how did I feel… csm is on air right now, so about 3 days? Today is Saturday(December 25th, 2022), so yeah the final episode, ep12 is going to be out in a few days, and I didn���t show up in the previous 11 episodes, you know what it means everyone? I’m guaranteed to show up next episode haha, let’s watch it together. Just this once, because I’m confirmed to show up, so let's all watch csm when it airs! Take the live performance this time, for instance, I’m also attending the Fes next week, plus I wanted to make both of them sound unique, so I tried my best to take the balance in both of them, like this time’s performance being something everyone can watch, and I expect people to relax and chill with the live I put up in their homes, so I went with that main goal and picked the songs for today.

I choose by how comfortable it is to wear, I’ve actually put on a lot of clothes I’d wear at home for lives recently haha

Yeah shirayuki MV was uploaded yesterday, the animations are really good, and the Director is Fujita, even though the animation studio is made by CloverWorks. Director Fujita Haruka, directed works like Violet Evergarden spin-off, - I really love his works – and like Hyouka – a good amount of works from KyoAni, and they’re all something I’ve enjoyed when I was still a student, so it’s really an honor to work with him this time, and I was really happy. If you watch the animations for the MV, you can see the artwork is really beautiful and elegant. I hope you could watch it a lot. The characters are designed by Takase Maru – he did the cover jacket for Shirayuki single as well – the characters are all very charming, yup, it’s not “shirayuki-chan”, the person in white is a boy, - hope you can watch the MV a lot - yeah I watched a lot of KyoAni works, loved Hyouka.

Oh yeah I performed Ao no Waltz in the Budokan concert for the first time, and it was an orchestra arrangement with an orchestra team, it was extraordinary.

(the phone scene at the start was crazy) Yeah it was, my heart was pumping I’m never doing that again hahaha, but if I have to say something, I actually rehearsed a lot for that one scene, I confirmed how to walk with the camera, where to put it, etc… I practiced for it, I 100% couldn’t do it without any practice.

back to the topic, yes, the path of 2022.

Let’s see… ooh, on January 1st, Kaikaikitan reached 200 million listens on streaming services! Woaaaah, thanks everyone, oh yeah I asked the staff for the current number from the staff, and they told me it’s at around 550 million right now, including fans overseas, thanks for all the support, isn’t it crazy?

right after that, on March 8th, Avant is exclusively released onto streaming services,

Avant is a song I wrote for the mobile game of Jujutsu Kaisen, and the live MV version is included in the Zingai Video Collection I released earlier this month, hope you can watch it!

March 15th, the Music Movie, Adam by Eve is released on Netflix – that was something that happened this year? I felt like it happened long ago… seems like it was something I did in 2022. It was also released in local theaters for a week or two, and I went to see it with the Director, yes the Director of Bouto, there were a lot of people, and no one figured out we were also there, to be honest, someone there looked like me more than I did, yeah, we watched the movie together with everyone else.

The next day, March 16th, the album Kaizin is released, oh that was also this year? I released an album this year.

I went on a countrywide live concert tour from April to May, not just in Toyko/Nagoya/Osaka, I also went to places like Sendai, Ishikawa, Hiroshima, etc… really performed in a good amount of places. I think a lot of people also experienced their first live concert through this tour.

Up next, Bubble ft. Uta was released on April 21st. Ohh this was also in 2022! This was the first new song after the Kaizin album, these all felt like something happened years ago…

Right after May 23rd, the Kobe tour, the Budokan live concert announcement dropped. It happened on August 29th/30th, time flies, already 4 months past that… Yes, I performed a 2-day concert in the Japan Budoukan. And the live video collection of that concert has been released recently (Dec 13th), and it felt like it all happened suddenly.

we then warp to December in a sudden, the movie Black Night Parade, and the main song for the movie, Shirayuki has also been released yesterday. Please go and watch the film and enjoy the music at the theater if you’re interested!

after that, the ending song for Chainsawman, Fight Song will be released. Well, it’s not out right now, but you’ll soon hear it next week. This is going to be the last of me this year, so let's all… listen to it together. Yeah, let’s all do that. You know, hats off to hoechlin. He really got what he wanted out of the teen wolf movie without having to do too much.

Waited til dylan was in or out. Once dylan said no to the movie, he used that opening to negotiated the shit out of p+ til he got what he wanted and they basically had to say yes bc he's the next biggest draw (within fandom and as superman outside the fandom I'd guess)

Got not only the producer credit (and slight say) but probably also more money bc of it. Which lead to posey having a meltdown/tantrum forcing p+ to give him his consolation producer credit

Used his prod credit to not only cast Derek's son, direct Derek's son and probably influence Derek's story in the movie a bit (seems it could've been his idea to even give Derek a kid)

He literally posted 1.5 times on his ig about the movie (1= the sdcc promo post that included pr text and hashtags, very unlike his other posts on like Superman and lois; 0.5=when him joining was announced and he just posted the Screenshots of like the deadline article.) he put very little effort into it

Sure he went to sdcc for the movie, they probs had that in the contract "you must go to comic con and the p+UK event" ; the 2 comic con events in Manchester and Wales were more fan related since he also did superman and lois with bitsie and Alex there

And besides doing the mandatory reshoots, that's basically been it

Like only 2 people (Jr, maybe Vince, makeup crew people) posted bts stuff containing hoech; which was weird back then;them waiting til like after he'd finished filming to announce him being in the movie?

Then now this with nycc has me rolling in tears (of laughter): I don't know who (I think I read p*#ey) said hoech was supposed to be there but "got stuck in traffic". 100% total horseshit I bet. Either be it bc hoech was never going to come, he declined, never answered them, he was working on Friday on S&L, he was flying from Canada to nyc on Friday and had to film Thursday, he lied in "dog ate my homework" lying... Who knows. But he's never missed a con like that and what a flimsy excuse so yeah, baloney.

And then they showed a clip of Derek and Eli at nycc. Which a) the clip reminded me why I stopped watching the dumb stupidly written not though out at all show b) the clip reminded me so much of sterek and fandom (and how we'll make it better) and c) hoech's I love stiles/dylan tour of '22

It feels like he said he'd do the bare minimum for the contract, they thought he'd sprinkle in nycc and show some love to the movie but instead he kept mentioning dylan & how he's the bestest and was what he (and fans lol) liked the most about the show, aka the person they'd prefer not talking about since he's not in the movie haha

I wish I knew anything about the bts drama (you know since this was all my theories/interpretations) bc sth got to be going on. This is too wild

(Also how are you going to have a panel at a comic con, a place where fans get to Interact and ask questions, but then double book 2 things for 1 slot ie not have time for any/or only 1 fan questions? Sounds dumb)

So apparently from the new cny event we’ve learnt that chixiao’s last move(?) is 天瞠 and not 云裂 which is not a surprise since it’s been in the art book for quite a while now… but what got me thinking is the description for the last move and idk why it’s a foreshadowing to chen having to make a decision to kill someone important to her…… who do you think she will have to kill?

TURNsgiving Week 2022 Day 4 (Sunday, November 27th): “What If?”

The theme for Day 4 of TURNsgiving Week is “What If?” With this show, I know I personally am always wondering what could’ve ended up happening if something or other had gone differently. So today is all about speculation! 

(Here’s a thought: WHAT IF these two had kept it in their pants in Season 1, huh? HAHA) 

Here are a couple of prompts to think about (though by all means, don’t limit yourself to these!): 

Is there a historical figure (and/or historical event) you wish had been included in TURN, but wasn’t? What might have happened differently if it had been included? 

What if TURN was narrated from a different character’s perspective? (Sorry, Abe!) How might things have appeared differently? 

What if something (big or small) had happened historically different? Maybe a character dying or surviving when they shouldn’t have, or the war’s outcome changing, or even something as small as a single changed interaction. What kind of an impact would that have had, either at the time, and/or now?
