This has been floating around in my mind. Let’s see if anyone else agrees.

So Sarah j Maas books are obviously ✨amazing✨. There are three scenes one in each series that really strikes the characters.

They all include water. They all include our main heroes. And they all see the true face of the other.

In TOG Aelin just had her burn out (HoF) and got dunked in water repeatedly. This is the entire scene where Rowan sees her back and flies away in horror. That’s really when Rowan stars seeing her as more than a spoiled brat. As someone who survived and lost. As a true Fae not a pathetic human. It’s not when he falls in love with her but I feel like this is where it really starts.

In ACOTAR feyre had just heard Rhys’s backstory and accepted the bond. (Chapter 55 👀❤️‍🔥🥫) they were washing each other and thats when they say when they fell in love with the other person. That’s when they fully give to their feelings and realize they would die and kill and torture for the other. That’s when they realize that they were always meant to be. It’s such a sweet healing scene (and 🌶️🌶️🌶️ too!) and brings a important aspect to the book that’s vital to Feyre’s journey.

And in CC it’s the very first book. Hunt has just murdered three innocents and is taking a shower. He’s numb to the world and to his emotions. And as Bryce walks in it’s real pity she has on the Shadow of Death real sympathy. Because she was also in that place. This is where she starts seeing him as more then him mask, more then his job, more then a just another angel. She cared for him in a way that no one cared for her.

In all of these a huge part of their stories and lives are at play here. They’re all broken but healing. This is such a cool thing about Sarah j Maas. She’s written so many books and it all comes back to one thing. Hope.

And that is why I will keep reading her for years to come.

AELIN X CORMAC

Hear me out.

I think cormac is Aelin without hope. Sure she didn’t have hope in the mines but with Chaol and Dorian she made it through. She held on and both of those boys were a vital part to her healing process. Now Cormac? His mate died and it utterly destroyed him. He had no hope. He had no lifeline, no friends to get him out of his dark hole. That’s why he sacrificed himself. That’s why he did that for the greater good. He wanted so desperately to be reunited with Sophie that death did not scare him. Aelin became a queen in the end. And I feel in his own way, cormac became a king not in birthright but in actions.

I believe cormac might be the single greatest character in crescent city because of that. Yes, Aidas too but he’s in Hel not Midgard.

3. Tharion is a wild card here. At this point I could see her killing him off BUT unless it helps with the plot sjm usually doesn’t kill anyone. However, idk where he would end up in all this. Maybeeee with Ari but I can’t really see it.

4. We see the night court in here (😍). I’m really hoping she goes to Aelin next (I WOULD DIEEEE).

being a Griffindor at hogwarts….

most people think they would be bold and fierce, but let’s all remember little Neville. There could be so really shy griffins who just want to do something with their life.

Most of them are B students

Even though the hufflepuff common room is right by the kitchens, it is the griffindors who regularly ransack the kitchen. They have wild parties. Rumors of slytherins secretly joining at whispered about.

Enemies to lovers is a very strong troupe in this house. You see so many Griffindor dating slytherins. Their relationship is all challenges and games, but also hugs where none of you want to let go, and sleeping together often.

Some griffindors just want to wear jeans and leather jackets. McGonagall allows it albeit reluctantly. Some people even have sleek black motorcycles.

Pranks galore. Who said fred and George were the only pranksters? All the weasley’s are, as well as the potters and (surprisingly) the long bottoms. Ravenclaw friends even help sometime, and giggle all the way through

Their aesthetic would be….mugs of hot cocoa, rich red velvet, snow on your tongue, and laughs at 4 in the morning. Heavily edited architecture photos, pretty chandeliers, cozy rugs and a roaring fire, cookies on a platter, pictures of laughing friends. Reading lots and lots of books (no, it’s not just a ravenclaw thing!). Dancing very late at night with no music and only the sound of the rain. Falling asleep next to a best friend while you’re studying. Waking up in the hospital after a quidditch game. Eating only the sweets at feasts. And of course, being bold and brash in most things, but being really shy around your crush.

The griffindors are the ones who dare to dream and hogwarts wouldn’t be the same without them

Hufflepuff Headcanons!!! 💛

-sneaking into the kitchens after midnight bc ofc the puffs are midnight partiers

-late sunny mornings with cinnamon buns and coffee

-karoke contests (boys actually dominate)

-no one cares about house points because they are way too busy just enjoying life

-i imagine like a really earthy and happy common room with huge bay windows on all sides for maximum sunlight and plants everywhere

-they dont have drapes on the sides of their beds because, hello, light is amazing

-some of them really hate yellow so they sometimes will literally just wear jeans and a jacket too herbology because P. Sprout understands.

-staying up to 4 to talk someone out of suicide, depression etc.

-when a puff gets sad they just stop talking and surprisingly the only thing to get them out of their funk is a slytherin bestie bc ofc they have one.

-dancing in the rain is a common thing

-they live life to the happiest and most fullest because hufflpuffs are completely carefree

-not a fan of cussing but when they do, it packs a punch

-no one has ever heard the hufflepuff war cry and survived

their aesthetic is warm than in the sun, huge fuzzy sweaters, getting their hands dirty with dirt, Polaroids everywhere, accepting everyone for who they are, vines trailing through the common room, rainbows, gingerbread cookies, monarch butterflies, cinnamon scents, plush pillows everywhere, rugs galore, the rising sun, sunflowers, long hugs, kisses on the forehead, and a million stars in the night sky.

(No that's not ravenclaw its hufflepuff 100%)
