It depends on what the paragraph is. I need more info. For instance, I know about the essay you have to write tmr (we go to the same school and I think this is unspecific enough that I’m comfortable posting it, if you aren’t I’ll take it down). We have to write an analytical essay on a book. The way I see it, the intro paragraph is 4-6 sentences - basic explanation, contention, flag paragraphs. The three body paragraphs are minimum 8 - topic sentence, evidence and analyse three times, link sentence. And then the conclusion is maybe 4. Doesn’t need to be long.
Average paragraph is 5-6 sentences, but I’m also and over achiever.
okay so I want to prove a point to my dad so quick poll
Also please reblog for a bigger sample size
I need to humble my father 🙃

I’ve already made a few posts about what I think would be cool in epic, including one that is required for context for what I’m about to say: the gods should be on a balcony raised above the stage - they are literally above the humans. I think that there should also be stairs connecting them, to show that technically a god could lower themselves to the mortals and vice verse, but they don’t - they protect the status quo.
With the Circe saga releasing, I think that Circe’s introduction should be done like this:
Eurylochus and Odysseus are in a spotlight somewhere to the sides of the stage. The rest is in darkness. As eurylochus begins to tell the story of how the other men were lost, the lights illuminate part of the stage - but not the balcony or the stairs. Most of the stage is still dark.
And then:
“Come inside”.
Spotlight fades onto Circe, halfway up the stairs. She is halfway between the gods and mortals. The lights slowly reveal the rest of the stage, with a large table.
The men go inside and are served by Circe and her nymphs.
As Circe’s spell is revealed, a white curtain descends, hiding the men and Circe from the audience. The lights show the shadows of the even being turned into pigs.
Also Hermes is wearing heelies and is being a cheesy bastard

Hello! I need some advice. I’m going to start watching Doctor Who soon, but I’m not sure where to start. I have school, and I’m going to watch it with a friend, so I don’t really have a huge amount of time, especially because both of us are too young to drive. I have watched the episodes with 14, and some random scenes from behind my dad, and my friend tried (keyword: tried) to explain the basic plot of some of the show to try and make sure I was vaguely aware of what was happening, so I’m kind of aware of new who and old who. I’m pretty sure David Tennant isn’t the start of new who, but I kind of want to start with him. Is that okay?
(also when the meep went ‘they farmed my people’ I just went ‘good for them, I would too.’) (also wtf were those mimic fuckers in the second episode) (also the toymaker is just. the most. i love that the fate of the universe was a game of fucking catch)

I have a cat who, if you head bump on the hand rail in the stairs, will flop down on the stairs, wait for you to come around and then grab your head with two front paws, claws fully extended, and bite. Hard. Directly on top of your head. I have yet to bleed from this, but I have no doubt that it will one day happen.
The thing folks get wrong about housecat headbonks is depicting them as soft, gentle gestures of affection. When two affectionate cats greet each other you can hear the dull thunk of their skulls colliding from across the room. I've been left with red marks on my forehead from cats who wanted to greet me in the way of their people.

With the release of Loki season 2, or at least the start of it, comes a whole new wave of shipping discourse. Many believe that Loki and Mobius is the superior ship - and as a member of the queer community and someone who loves queer representation, I agree. However, I believe that, narratively speaking, Loki and Sylvie is the better ship. I first watched Loki as someone who had very little knowledge of the queer community or queer relationships, and as such didn’t see Loki and Mobius that way. Since the first episode of the new season has come out, I decided to rewatch the first season. And, since doing so, I think that from a narrative perspective, Loki and Sylvie would make much more sense for Loki’s character.
Much of the first episode is Mobius trying to learn why Loki acts the way he does - a narcissistic, murderous, self-righteous, entitled god-prince. Eventually, Loki admits that it was an act - people expected him to act a certain way, and so he did. Up until the first Thor movie, Loki had been a narcissistic and entitled prince. The murderous part only came after learning that he was a frost giant, which I’ll get to in a minute. He even admits he’s a narcissistic is episode 4. As such, Loki has always been a little bit of a narcissist, and so he would fall in love with himself.
On the other hand, he also hates himself after learning that he is a frost giant. Throughout the rest of his story and redemption in the main timeline, he slowly un-learns this self-hatred and accepts the part of himself that is a species he was raised to hate, but this Loki is from the first Avengers movie, when he is still a ball of angst and self-hatred. As such, this version of Loki somehow manages to be a narcissist while hating himself, which shouldn’t be possible, and yet Loki somehow manages it. Since the version of Loki that appears in the shows hates himself a bit, having him fall in love with another version of himself is an excellent way to display self-love.
With the Loki that we follow through the show being a steaming ball of narcissism and self-loathing, it makes perfect sense, both for the narrative and his character to fall in love with another version of himself. His narcissism means that he will struggle to love someone as much as he loves himself, except for a variant of him. Simultaneously, he hates himself and his blood as a result of his frost giant heritage, which he slowly comes to terms with over the course of the main timeline, but there isn’t time for that in this show. And what better way to show Loki overcoming his self-hate in a short period of time than by having him fall for another version of him?
As such, from both a character-driven and narrative-driven perspective, Loki and Sylvie make much more sense - as both a continuation of one of Loki’s core traits and his character arc of overcoming his self-hatred.

This is something totally random, but is it a neurodivergent thing to, upon someone saying something, not take it at face value but to try and figure out how it would work and why it doesn’t?
For instance, my mum and I have very similar period cycles. When my mum noticed this, she went “ooh! Our periods have synced!”. And I went …that wouldn’t work. In order for periods to sync, there would have to be some sort of biological signal - a pheromone or something. Then, you would also need a way to receive the signal - likely through the nose or mouth. And on top of that, that specific pheromone would need to trigger something in the body that makes the period happen. And even without the whole biological factors in it, women spend roughly 5-7 days out of 28-30 bleeding (on average), which adds up to between 1/6 to 1/4 of their lives between the ages of 12ish to 50ish. There is a somewhat decent chance that at least one of those days is going to match with at least one other woman in your life.
When I told my mum this, she just kind of gave me an odd look and dropped it. This has happened with several other things (there have been several instances where I bring up how the actual fuck life came to exist - like, how did that happen? How were cells formed in the first place? I can understand how we got from single cellular to multi cellular (or at least make a decent guess - cells grouped up together and over time gained specialised functions within the cluster) but I cannot for the life of me figure out how the hell the first cells formed), so I want to know if this a thing among neurodivergent people, or if I’m just a sceptic or an overachiever or it’s just a me thing.

This is completely random, but I would like to pitch something to the Star Wars fandom:
That one part of wait for it, when Burr goes “Hamilton doesn’t hesitate, he exhibits no restraint, he takes and he takes and he takes, and he keeps winning anyway, changes the game and he plays and raises the stakes. And if there’s a reason he seems to thrive when so few survive then god damn it I’m willing to wait for (wait for it). I’m willing to wait for it.”.
Imagine that bit, but it’s sung by mace windu about Anakin. Or by literally anyone, but all I can imagine is made windu - maybe because I’m deep into the part of the clone wars fandom where mace is actually a softie deep down, and so I in my head he’s characterised as someone who is cold and calculating on the inside, but soft for the people he cares about.

A while ago I made a post about the stage of Epic (https://www.tumblr.com/thedamsorce2/728932360902606848/alright-guys-hear-me-out-when-epic-finally-gets) and I have another idea about something cool that could happen.
In Warrior of the Mind, in the famous part where Odysseus goes “Nah, don’t be modest, I know you’re a goddess, so let’s be honest you are ATHENA!”. What I was thinking is there could be literally just a ball of rags shaped around a mannequin or something on a fly that you can see when it goes “I can see you… How can you see through my spell?”. Then, when Odysseus outs her as Athena, it shoots up and the lights reveal Athena standing on the balcony.
Not sure if this makes sense, but I think it could be cool. If I can be bothered, I might try to make a little animation of it. Not that I can draw people.

To add to this, consider:
The Olympians just hanging out up here throughout the show. Whenever Athena’s theme plays, but she doesn’t actually have anything to say, like at the beginning of The Horse and the Infant, or in Legendary, she’s just stood up on the platform watching.
Alright guys, hear me out:
When Epic finally gets on stage, there should be two levels to it. Like how in Hamilton, there’s the platform above the stage, kind of a like a balcony or walkway? And then it should be decorated to be like Olympus, and none of the humans or mortals ever go up there, it’s just the gods who sing down at all the measly heroes, and then sometimes they (mostly Athena) come down and actually talk to them, but most of the time it’s literally orders/reprimands coming from above.

Ahh dammit.
Oh well
Based solely on the fact that my friend @dragonwars2601 made a post and Neil Gaiman himself reblogged it (as far as I can tell) in minutes, I think he just stalks #Neil Gaiman. So I’m testing it.

I have a question and I’m not sure if anyone’ll be able to answer it.
The cruciatus curse. It causes pain. But my question is this: does it cause the same amount of pain for everyone, the most pain the victim can imagine or the worst pain the caster can imagine?
Like, does everyone hurt the same? Is it always a billion burning knives stabbing into every thing? Or do some people feel acid, or what?
Not sure if it makes sense, but I really want answers.

Also, just seen your post, why would you be stupid enough to rewatch season 2? It has been established that season 2 takes your heart, is kind to it and makes it happy, and then without warning rips it to shreds, mangles it, roll it in the dirt and then take a shit on it.
Happy Birthday to my bestie, @dragonwars2601
I’m absolutely shit at saying anything nice beyond something someone else has told me to say, so I’ll just say this:
You are an amazing person, but how dare you break my heart with Good Omens.
On the bright side, I’ll be able to get my revenge with various moments in the Percy Jackson books that you haven’t read yet.

Earlier today, my best friend (@dragonwars2601 ) messaged me with some information about Good Omens that led to a crack theory about Uriel.
This information was that in the bible, Uriel is the angel of prophecy (and also wisdom, but “mainly for this prophecy”). In season 1, Uriel said that, quote “Don’t think your boyfriend in the dark glasses will get you special treatment in hell”. This means that Uriel believes that Aziraphale and Crowley are dating. This could be because literally everyone else knows that they’re in love with each other, or the wild idea that I came up with.
This idea is that Uriel has funky memory. Like, they don’t make memories, but when they were created it was almost as if they had already lived through all of eternity until their destruction. This would mean that they know for a fact that Azi and Crowley get together at some point, Uriel just doesn’t know when. They thought that Azi and Crowley were dating in the bookshop scene at the end of season 2 and thought that they were already together because the next time that Uriel has a personal conversation with them/sees them in the same room next, they are dating.
It also explains why Uriel was kind of useless for most of the show - they already know how it’s going to end.
However, this theory kind of falls to shit when you realise that this would mean they knew that Jim was Gabriel. In response, I offer you this: Uriel’s memory has degraded. Over the Millenia they’ve been around, their ‘memories’ of the future have become blurred and fuzzy. With the miracle on top of that, Uriel likely wouldn’t be able to remember.
The more cracks elements of this headcanon are Uriel going up to Gabriel (probably centuries or even a couple of millennia before the apoca-not) and telling him that he will need to tell them what to get Gabriel and Bee as a wedding present and Gabriel just goes “????”. Then when he starts going out in dates with Beelzebub and suddenly just goes “… OH. THIS IS WHAT THEY MEANT?”. Uriel would also probably show Supreme Archangel Aziraphale the best way to sneak out of heaven.
Another crack element is Uriel have ‘The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch’ with the ‘Agnes Nutter, Witch’ crossed out with ‘Archangel Uriel, Angel’. And in this book they have everything that they think will be important, but they couldn’t get to the ‘ Gabriel loses his memory and there’s a miracle so he’s unrecognisable’ part before they forget about the miracle, leading to Uriel not being able to identify Jim. (Also, just imagine Uriel frantically scribbling down information in the book in a corner of heaven, and slamming it shut every time someone comes close, leading to a competition to steal the book and a betting pool about what’s in it)
This theory would also explain why Uriel doesn’t really react to anything - it could be just regular prophecies, or it could be written in ‘The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Archangel Uriel, Angel’.
Another fun thing about this headcanon could be Uriel training or being friends with Agnes, and offhandedly mentioning ‘The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Archangel Uriel, Angel’, and then Agnes just went… nice name. It’s mine now. And then wrote ‘The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch’. It could also have been how they passed the book down between generations - Uriel might appear to them (like, meet them on the street, help them, visit them is a dream, etc) and then whoever has the book just goes ‘yup, thanks who’s getting the book next’.
Also, I’ve been updating Dragon on this as I’ve been writing, and they just sent me this I response to Uriel hiding in a corner, leading to attempted theft and betting pools:
